Moon is waning and empties this week. New Moon is on Wednesday early morning at 01:14 am CDT signifying the beginning of the fall Navaratri celebrations. This nine day festival honors the holy goddess trinity of Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The festivities culminate on the 10th day (Vijayadashami) which honors Durga's defeat of the demon Mahishasura. The sacredness of this time period is explained more in my Navaratri article. You’re invited to participate in my 10 day Self Care Challenge as a way to honor this important passage into fall and winter. Join the FB Group here.
Monday, September 22nd Today’s Intention: Find nourishment in relating and co-creating. Moon transits Leo and moves into Purvaphalguni nakshatra at 01:47 am CDT. This enlivens Venus and Bhaga, the deity of love, relationship and creativity. Bhaga is an Aditya, one of the twelve gods who provide us with resources for this life experience. He dispenses wealth and happiness, luck and fortune, as well as blessings from our past incarnations. He presides over love and marriage and is associated with pleasure, sensuality and sexuality, thus relationships are his domain- mainly the spark of new and budding relationships. Today, create, connect and share. Work consciously on relating and co-creating. How can your relationships provide a sense of nourishment and support? Which ones soothe and support? Which ones feel toxic? Pay attention to your senses and what arrives through your interactions. Venus moves into the latter half of Phalguni, Uttara, at 04:58 am CDT. Shift into a role of connection and sharing over the next 10 days. Create, express, share and connect. Create and co-create and let your relationships be part of your expansion. Let your love shine! Not feeling it? What relationships need to be pruned and removed from your life in order to create more space for the more nourishing and supportive ones? What shifts and changes need to take place within your existing relationships in order for more nourishment? Take charge of your comfort and what supports and nourishes you. This is an ideal time to be conscious of your self care needs. As we move into the beginning of Navaratri on Wednesday, now is an essential time to be intentional with our needs. Be sure to join my 10 day Self Care Challenge via FB. Tuesday, September 23rd Today’s Intention: Get your shine on! From the inside out. Today is Fall Equinox for the Northern Hemisphere. It is also Mahalaya Amavasya (Pitri Paksha), the sacred celebration of honoring the ancestors who have passed and are no longer with us. Be sure to commemorate your loved ones who have passed by lighting a candle and saying a prayer in their honor, as well as through gratitude for their many gifts to you. Moon moves to Uttaraphalguni at 04:32 am CDT, joining Venus and Sun in this nakshatra as well. We get three levels of support from Aryaman today. He is also one of the twelve Adityas like Bhaga who rules the front half of Phalguni. Like Bhaga, Aryaman gives resources, but does so through sustenance- mainly health of the body and physical stamina and strength as a result. Additionally, he also nourishes through relationships, but does so in the ways that last. Not through sensuality and sexuality, but through time, perseverance and pleasing the ancestors. As Bhaga relates to the past and past karmas, Aryaman relates to the future and what is to come; as a result he is mostly concerned with long term outcomes and situations. Moon moves to Virgo at 11:10 am CDT, joining Sun and Rahu here. These planets receive drishti from Ketu seven houses away. Be precise with your actions and relations today. Step carefully, but get noticed. Share, connect and create through relationships today. Shine brightly- inside out! Feeling shadowed or extra inward? Moon is in the 15th tithe (Moon phase) today. It’s a time to be self reflective and tend to your inner needs. Plant your seeds of desire and make your intentions known. As we move into the beginning of Navaratri tomorrow, now is an essential time to be intentional. Be sure to join my 10 day Self Care Challenge via FB. Venus is sandhi, at the edge of Leo right now. Be delicate with your relationships- both your relationship with others and with your self. Wednesday, September 24th Today’s Intention: Take an intentional pause and mark it with poignancy. Moon nears conjunction of the Sun as it becomes completely new in the wee hours of the morning. New Moon is at 01:14 am CDT in Uttaraphalguni nakshatra while Moon is in Virgo. The details of yesterday are pertinent for our coming waxing Moon cycle. The coming weeks are potent- and a poignant time for working with our long term sustainability. What steps do we need to take in order to insure sustainability and more lasting support and nourishment? What fruits are we hoping to harvest in the coming weeks and months? Our intentional action steps right now make or break the richness of our harvest. Aryaman is alive and well within us and around us- encouraging health, well being, as well as inner and outer sustenance- if we align with his offerings. Connect, co-create and use relationships intentionally in the coming weeks. Do your relationships nourish and inspire you? Or do they zap you and harm you? If you want potency and power, it will take potent and powerful actions to get different results. Sow the seeds you want right now and ask the ancestors for help with the process. Aryaman is aligned with the ancestors to insure that your lineage is well nourished and protected so make sure you ask for dharmic wisdom to help you on your journey, with choices and your action steps. Think in terms of aligning with long-term sustainability, not short term gratification. Aryaman will provide for you. Trust the process and ask for support. In addition to the New Moon, this marks the beginning of the Navaratri celebrations and the first day of three that honors Ma Durga. This is an especially potent and powerful time period, where we celebrate in the Vedic calendar, the holy trinity of goddesses: Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The veil is thin right now between realms, and is an especially powerful time for being inward, cleansing, nourishing and meditating. If you haven’t joined my 10 day Self Care Challenge, you can do so here. Moon moves to Hasta nakshatra at 06:59 am CDT, activating Savitr and his shining light into our day. You may awaken with sparks today and find some new purpose for your actions. Allow a glimpse of awakening to inspire you through intelligence, ideas, new awareness and gratitude. Flourish through wisdom and knowledge and take time for pausing, listening and invoking your inner light with the Gayatri Mantra today. Since the Moon is passing through the middle of Sun and Rahu today, a sense of shadow can creep in as well. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or overstimulated, be sure to use a 3 level check in for getting in touch with your felt senses. Use this inner harvesting process to get creative. Write, draw, express through your hands. Your Self Care Journal might just be the trick. Have you signed up for my 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Venus is sandhi, at the edge of Leo right now and hops into Virgo, its sign of debilitation at 21:14 CDT. During this 23 day transit, be delicate with your relationships- both your relationship with others and with your self. This transit re-iterates my new Moon details for the coming waxing cycle and our attention/intention to relationships of all kinds in our lives. What needs our focus in the coming weeks in regard to self care and putting our needs first? What details within your relationships needs extra TLC? How can you improve your inner nourishment and self care focus? What boundaries need to be re-established in order for your needs to get met? What re-structuring needs to take place within your relationships- personal and professional- in order for greater clarity and purpose? This is a time of getting present to your individual needs and what nourishes you. It is not a time to be using up your energy frivolously; though you may be noticing leaks more clearly at this time. Right now it’s all about the details. Let this be a resource for getting priorities and business in order. If it becomes unhelpful, then zoom out and get a bigger picture. Take a break or time out to re-center. This doesn’t have to be a time of discomfort and overwhelm; just get resource oriented. Need a reminder about self care? Be sure you follow along with my 10 day self care challenge and work intimately with your self care journal right now. Thursday, September 25th Today’s Intention: Step wisely and with purpose. Navaratri Day 2 and second day of the Durga celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Moon moves into Chitra nakshatra at 09:07 am CDT, joining Rahu here as well. Virgo is a full house right now with Moon, Sun, Rahu and Venus there now. Be aware that highs and lows may feel extreme- emotionally, mentally and physically. It is important to take care of health and wellness on all three levels of your being. Vishvakarma, the celestial architect, as well as Mars, play an important role in our experience today. He is a worker, the divine architect, and very product oriented. His extreme creativity, as well as action orientation (karma is a part of his name) reminds us to take potent action steps to align with our creative powers. What are you building in your life? For your life? Attend to your inner and outer needs today. As Moon passes over Rahu, don’t get lost in the mire of details and self critic. Instead, get action oriented. Take a step in the right direction today and focus on what is doable. Moon moves to Libra at 22:02 CDT, joining Mercury and exalted Saturn there. Need a reminder about self care? Be sure you follow along with my 10 day self care challenge and work intimately with your self care journal right now. Friday, September 26th Today’s Intention: Adjust your sails with intention and harness the power of the wind. Navaratri Day 3 and final day of the Durga celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Moon transits Libra with Mercury, and exalted Saturn, then moves into Swati nakshatra at 10:51 CDT. Both Vayu and Rahu enliven and the winds- both inner and outer- bring shifts and changes with them. The mental and emotional bodies may be in overdrive. Feeling overstimulated, excessively anxious? Not only is attention to your prana important today for calming the inner winds, but also attending to the messages of the mental and emotional bodies. Separating these two will bring greater clarity to their different messages and likely bring more awareness to what you need. Be sure to sign up for my online 3 Levels of Awareness Immersion in order to learn how to incorporate this technique into your self care practices. Saturday, September 27th Today’s Intention: Balance creates harmony. Navaratri Day 4 and the first day of the three day Lakshmi celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Sun jumps into Hasta nakshatra at 00:37 am CDT, offering greater insight and wisdom to us in the coming days. Tend to this flicker of light, the inner flame. Nurture it, nourish it and honor it with gentleness. Attend to this small flame with intention and recite Gayatri Mantra in the coming days as a way to cultivate your inner light and spark magic. Attend to your sensitivity with gentleness and compassion. Moon moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 12:10 CDT, enlivening Jupiter and Indragni- the dual god who attends to our sense of nourishment through alliance. Yet another opportunity to give presence to what, and who, we are aligned with in our lives. Indra and Agni remind us that two are often better than one- as long as they work in harmony and are aligned properly. Feeling pulled in too many directions? Overwhelm settling in today? Balance is key. Clear off your plate and prioritize. What are the essentials? Where are your self care needs on this list? Put your self first and then let the other pieces fall in place more naturally. Make sure physical movement is incorporated into your day. Get embodied! Sunday, September 28th Today's Intention: Zoom in and zoom out. Harmonize polarities. Navaratri Day 5 and the second day of the Lakshmi celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Moon has crossed over Saturn now and moves to the edge of Libra, jumping into its debilitation sign, Scorpio, at 06:51 am CDT. Moon joins Mars in Scorpio and our internal waters get charged. Expect an extra layer of sensitivity today and emotional body awareness. At 13:01 CDT, Moon moves into Anuradha nakshatra and Mitra provides increased awareness of fine detail, friendship and connection, as well as travel and adventure. Get into the details, but don't get lost in them! Feeling agitated or angered? Look for the underlying need and find solutions. My 3 Levels of Awareness Immersion is today! Moon is waning this week. Saturn is now direct after months of retrograde motion. Forward momentum returns to our footsteps and helps the energy of the Mars/Saturn conjunction in Libra ease a bit more. New Moon (amavasya) is on Saturday the 26th. I hope you’ll join me for my new Moon celebration and workshop. Join my new Moon online celebration for some new Moon treats and find out more about my new Moon emotional body workshop!
Monday, July 21st Moon moves into Taurus and exalts just after midnight as Monday starts. Moon is exalted in Krittika nakshatra only until 5:58 am CDT and then goes into its mulitrikona placement after that; still a place where the Moon can express itself nicely and feels resilient and open. Moon receives drishti (gaze) from both Mars and Rahu here. This can offer us the ability to work with the emotional body in new and unusual ways since Rahu has newly entered Virgo and he is still in the gap (sandhi) in the 29 degree range. Anger may be a red hot resource for us as well. Don't negate its messages. We may feel our critical edge being tested, a bit grumpy or challenged as a result. We may also be working with themes of abundance, monetary wealth and our stability as a result (or lack thereof). Today may feel a bit hard and soft at the same time. How can this sense of polarity offer us insight into our needs and desires? Krittika nakshatra is ruled by Agni, the sacred fire god of life, transformation and change. We may begin to feel changes and shifts today in our emotional body as a result. How does this emotional shift effect your physical and mental body experiences as well? Tend to your heart fire today- your digestive fires, your life fires. Stoke the flames with small tinder and fan the flames gently, with compassion and gentleness. Moon moves to Rohini nakshatra at 19:21 CDT. Tuesday, July 22nd Today, I celebrate my 34th re-birth. Thank you all for your continued support and for growing and expanding with me and my dharmic work. This is the biggest gift a soul can ask for. You are one of my birthday gifts and I cherish you! Here's to another year of growth, vision, jyoti (light) and creative abundance. Sending my warmth and blessings to each of you! xo Moon continues in Taurus today and is in the auspicious lunar constellation of Rohini nakshatra. Ruled by lord Brahma, who created the entire universe from his navel, this nakshatra exemplifies the human potential- brimming with creativity and fulfillment of material desires. Goddess Saraswati is the consort of Brahma; she is our creative life force connected to music, the arts, knowledge and wisdom. This dynamic of Saraswati and Brahma together allows the sparks of creative potential to be acted upon and then materialized. Use both to capture the full offerings of this day. With Mars and Rahu's drishti still on the Moon, unusual and foreign creativity can be activated and cultivated today with new action steps. Dream big, think big, create big. Plant seeds with artistic actions and water these desires with thoughtful action steps. Dance, sing, paint, create today. Let the universe hear your heart songs and go for the gold. Let the heart swell and swim with the vastness of it. Moon is waning and we are turning our attention/intention inward now naturally. Tend to the inner senses and cultivate presence with your own fragility as we become fully empty. Now is a good time to start self tracking. Use the theme of letting go, releasing and emptiness for your personal inquiry. Join me for my new Moon online celebration where I will be sharing some creative rituals for this new Moon. All who join will be entered to win some new Moon gifts! Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 21:11 CDT. Wednesday, July 23rd Moon transits Mrigashirsha nakshatra and moves into Gemini at 10:15 am CDT joining Venus and Mercury there. Chandra (the Sanskrit name for the Moon) rules Mrigashirsha as well as the deity Soma, which is another name for the Moon personified. The planetary ruler here is Mars who connects to all earth and grounding matters, like soil and homes. It is the plants of the earth that offer us Soma, through their divine nectar, saps and juiciness. It is the Moon that fills the plants with sap. Thus the connections between Mars, Moon and Soma. Mrigashirsha is symbolic of growth, ojas, procreative powers and creative acts that give nourishment. Through foods, creative expression, with movement and change, as well as poignant action steps, seek nourishment today. Invite in Soma, the nectar of life and let the sap of life nourish and support you. Mercury moves into the latter half of Gemini and into Punarvasu nakshatra at 9:24 am CDT, inviting in another layer of nourishment with Aditi, the mother of Oneness and all goodness. She helps us expand, find nourishment through wisdom and acquire knowledge through experience. In the coming days, allow Aditi to nourish your mental body, to invite in awareness through life experiences, and let this wisdom nourish your actions, choices and direction. Moon moves to Ardra nakshatra at 23:24 CDT. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Thursday, July 24th Moon travels through Ardra nakshatra today and enlivens Rudra, the storm god, and the planet Rahu. Rudra is powerful- whether this power is used for change, movement and momentum or emotional upheaval and chaos, the essential element of his nature is destruction. Destruction is a necessary component of change. We must deconstruct before we can reconstruct, or construct anything for that matter. He is a vital part of our change process and helps us with our confrontation process as well. It is in this part of the change process that we usually get angry or have a strong emotional expression. This is when you know that you are onto something big- a big change. The bigger the emotion, the bigger the change. Be sure to use a three level check in today at least once in order to clearly identify the felt senses. Additionally, Jupiter and Sun are in exact degrees today, a very tight combustion (solar burn). The guru, teacher, is getting burned by the source of light, Sun. This can make for a "hot seat" which can be uncomfortable to say the least. Look for agitation and anger and inquire about where these emotions are coming from within you. What is the underlying need? On the other hand, this combination can be highly activating for teaching, sharing wisdom, insights and jyoti (light). Take an action step toward today with your gifts; sharing, offering, giving. Give gratitude to soften the overly activating energy of this combination. Let the emotional body have its way with you today. Moon in Gemini with Mercury and Venus, while Venus is simultaneously in Ardra as well, insures that relationships may be the focus of our emotional upheavals. We also have the opportunity to use creative resources and tools to maximize our awareness and the change factor. Take your emotions into painting, drawing, writing, dancing and sounding. Do not cut and paste over your feelings today or suppress them. They will only come out later down the road in more destructive ways. Use your feelings with intelligence today. Deconstruct, reconstruct, with awareness. Are you joining me for my new Moon celebration online and my new Moon workshop? Friday, July 25th Moon moves to Punarvasu nakshatra at 1:54 am CDT enlivening Aditi and Jupiter and offering us each a taste of expansion; the essence of experiential awareness if we choose to open and extend ourselves to it. The "mother of all goodness" brings with her a sense of universal oneness and our interconnectedness. Notice if there are moments in your day where this offering arrives. Moon moves into the 15th tithi, the final waning Moon phase, at 15:27 CDT, inviting in an empty cup. Are you joining me for my new Moon celebration online and my new Moon workshop? As Moon moves into its own sign of Cancer at 21:56 CDT, the senses shift as does our felt sense. Here, the Moon joins exalted Jupiter and Sun and receives drishti (gaze) from Saturn and Ketu. This combination could bring about mental/emotional exhaustion and a sense of "overdoing it". Be mindful through the weekend of when your emotional body tells you to stop, slow down, change directions, or make a shift somehow. Saturday, July 26th Moon is in its own sign of Cancer with Sun, and exalted Jupiter here as well. All receive drishti (gaze) from Saturn and Ketu. Moon moves into Pushya nakshatra at 4:38 am CDT. Be sure to join me for my new Moon workshop today at 12:00 CDT. Moon crosses over exalted Jupiter and conjoins Sun as it fully empties its light in the 15th and final tithi (Moon phase). New Moon is today in Cancer at 17:41 CDT while in Pushya nakshatra. Sun, Moon and exalted Jupiter are all in Pushya, the nourishing star at this time. This is a profoundly symbolic cosmic expression of what we are moving towards in the coming waxing cycle. The coming weeks offer a theme of finding increased nourishment. Knowing what this is, what it feels like, and how we cultivate its presence within ourselves and our lives is worthy of our attention and intention. Perhaps nourishment arrives with knowledge and wisdom, comforts and support, kindness and gratitude, increased synchronization of Nature and her rhythms. Perhaps it comes with the gentleness of the breath and taking in life more easefully. Take note of what you are opening to and the many ways and means that offer you nourishment and fulfillment in the coming cycle. What are you filling your cup with? What are you inviting into your being, into your life? Let the awareness of vitality and nourishment be your guide. Trust your emotional body to be your compass, your guide. Sunday, July 27th Mars moves into Swati nakshatra at 6:01 am CDT. Rahu and Vayu, the wind god, invite in a sense of urgency, movement and momentum. Don't get lost in the forced agenda of this combination. Mars is still conjunct exalted Saturn and it's important to head to his messages and desires for slow and steady action. Mars and Vayu have needs of swiftness and quickness. This can intensify frustrations, agitations and anger and cause us to act in imbalanced ways. If you notice yourself rushing, forcing, pushing for results, consider this your warning. It's a waste of your energy and will cause greater issues in the long run. Take action, but let Saturn lead the way with stability, focus, sustainability, timeliness and deep surrender. Moon moves into Ashlesha nakshatra at 7:32 am CDT, enlivening Sarpa and Mercury. Serpent energy slides into our lives today and is evoked through Nature. How can Sarpa offer some awakening and evoke our inner treasures? The serpent energy invites in transformation, awakening and change. The dark side of Sarpa is illusions and deceptions, very Rahu like shadows. We have some options though in how we use our serpent energy, and what we are evoking, invoking and inviting in. How do you want to use your serpent energy today? Mercury moves to the edge of its own sign Gemini and is poised for change, pushing into Cancer tomorrow, where it will join exalted Jupiter and Sun there. As Mercury moves to the edge of Gemini, the portal opens, inviting in a rare opportunity to unite mental body and emotional body. Be sure to take time to harvest this potential and listen carefully. What can be accomplished when mind and emotions unite and find a sense of harmony? Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with Nature. Never miss my Moon Mind Calendar. Sign up for my newsletter. And if you like this post, please share it! New Moon: Sun and Moon Invite Creative Potential New Moon is on 5.28 at 13:40 CDT while Moon is in Taurus (its mulitrikona sign) and transiting Rohini nakshatra. This is a highly creative placement for the Moon and the new Moon (amavasya) element invites in potential and possibility. Sparks, creativity, intuitive wisdom and support are ushered in for this next cycle. Endless potential arrives at this time and new abundance and stability will bring us a sense of momentum; momentum we have been needing for months now in order to feel progressive. From this stability, we can then take more effective action steps forward, use the creativity that is arriving, and build with this. Rohini is a nakshatra ruled by Lord Brahma, the creator of the Universe. He exemplifies great strength, possibility and creative energy. Creativity, artistry and material abundance are part of his offerings. And since he is husband of goddess Saraswati, who offers us wisdom, knowledge and the arts, Rohini is also connected to her graces by default. Some healing and wisdom may be offered to us with Brahma's abundant nature flowing towards us. With the opening of this creative portal, a spark of new options and desires may surface. How we use this new potential and possibility will be up to us and our own desires. {New Moon Chart} Be on top of the ever changing transits, get my updates via my weekly newsletter.
Planetary Transits for the Waxing Moon Cycle On 5.30, Mercury moves to Ardra nakshatra at 6:30 am CDT; Rahu and Rudra (storm god) energy enlivens. Does he expand you into overwhelm and excessive cravings that lead to more frustration? Or can you temper his shadowy nature with focus and great planning? Harness the momentum that can be felt right now. Write lists and "dump out your head" on paper to avoid mental overdrive. Set goals, prioritize and be potent in your actions. Overwhelm and mental spin can set in. It will be important over the next two weeks of Mercury in Ardra to attend to the emotional and physical bodies for grounding and support, rather then letting the mental body get away with its usual mayhem. Pay attention to your emotions. Overwhelm? Anger? Exhaustion? Fear? This is a direct indication that your basic needs of support and nourishment are not being met. How can you find a different way to get the job done? How can you use self care to get your needs met? What paradigms need to shift in your relationships so that you can release some of the angst? Get embodied. We are gearing up for two big planetary shifts. To start the process off, and get us "near the edge" of change, Rahu and Ketu move to sandhi degrees on 6.05. They will be less then two degrees each on the 5th which marks their "transition point". We will start to feel their momentum now as they begin to shift into Virgo and Pisces respectively on July 12th. Are you feeling the need to make major life changes and yet overwhelm simultaneously? Planets intensify as they leave a house, so be aware that the cravings of Rahu will likely be enlivened at this time, while Ketu's desires for us to let go will force the issues at hand. Temper rash decisions. Use Saturn's structure and need for slow and steady, in order to win the race in the coming weeks. Mercury goes retrograde on 6.07 at 6:54 am CDT. Mercury is in its own sign of Gemini right now, but retrograde planets act like the nodes Rahu/Ketu, our karma points. The fact that Mercury will also be in Ardra for some weeks (ruled by Rahu) indicates the mind will be in a mode of craving and desire. Be wary of this. His retrograde motion is yet another "clean up" period for the mind, communication, commerce and our creativity. Be alert to necessary changes over the next 3.5 weeks. Mercury is a swift moving planet and normally doesn't occupy a sign longer then a few weeks; his transit through Gemini will be extended until July 27th due to his rewind motion. Once he goes into direct motion on July 1st he finishes off his Gemini transit in a more agreeable way. Do what you need to do in the coming weeks to get yourself into a place of forward momentum come mid July. Pay it forward, re-trace financial steps, pay off debts, scheme up a better way of doing business and tend to your finances. This can also be a very creative and inventive time. Put it to good use. If you need a reminder about retrograde Mercury, find details here. Following Rahu and Ketu's lead, Jupiter moves to the edge of Gemini on 06.09 gearing up for his grande entrance into Cancer, his sign of exaltation on June 18th. An expansive year is upon us. Find the details on his upcoming transit here. Full Moon is in Scorpio (again) on June 12th at 23:11 CDT while in Jyeshtha nakshatra. More on this in my next transit report for the waning Moon cycle. Commerce and communication will be ongoing themes for us. Jupiter moves to its sign of exaltation, Cancer, on June 18th, then Rahu and Ketu move in July to Virgo and Pisces respectively, and later this year Saturn moves to Scorpio. Likely you are already feeling the momentum and change of these transits. Needing some guidance and clarity for this coming year? Schedule a yearly progression with me. I am now booking sessions for June. Horoscopes for the Waxing Moon Cycle {May 28th to June 12th} *Horoscopes are based on your Vedic rising sign. You can also check your Moon and Sun signs for further insight. Do the same with your Navamsa signs for further clarity. Do not use these horoscopes with your “Western Sign” as there is likely no correlation. These horoscopes are meant to be used as a broad overview of the current transits and obviously do not address the specifics of an individual’s unique chart. Aries: This waxing cycle, you get savvy about finances and vow to repair some recent mishandled events. Put your own comfort and support first, even with your current focus on money and acquiring. Trust your creative capacity to help you problem solve, think outside the box and manage your business. Cravings intensify with regard to relationships. Be smarter than your libido. Put passion where it's needed most. Right now it's with your own healing and self care, not poured into another person. Right now, work on communication and saying what you mean as well as meaning what you say. Taurus: I hope you are taking plenty of alone time right now out of desire, not out of force. Either way, it can prove valuable to you and provide necessary introspection for your relationship needs. Solitude can provide infinite creative sparks right now, so don't disregard your need for down time. Navigate emotions and anger with inquiry. What boundary issues are up for you right now? Where have you been saying yes when you should be saying no? Sun in your first house is causing you to shine and put on the ritz, but it's important to be mindful of balance; your inner and outer balance points need awareness. Teach, share and communicate effectively. You are learning how to put your Self first and get your needs met in very practical ways. Gemini: Skies the limit right now. Are you dreaming big? Or are you dreaming big and taking effective action steps in order for big rewards? Don't expect all your fortunes to fall in your lap. Now is a time to play big or go home. Ask the universe for support, as well as everyone in your life! Expand your horizons and look for opportunities around every corner. This is the necessary preparation for the coming cycles where your career has the potential to lift off and feel more supportive to you. But listen carefully. You must be courageous and ask for what you really want in order to get it. You must go beyond day dreams and take powerful steps forward that will get you off and running. And you must get clear on what you deserve above all. Cancer: Your best ideas these days come during silent and introspective times. Ample alone time, meditation and retreat mode gives you the reset you need for flourishing in the coming months. Sparks continue to fly with your career and stoke your heart flames and passions. Meet the right people and let friends be of benefit for you. It's your connections that will prove most valuable right now and will bring in new resources. Remember your gratitude. Meanwhile, work with themes of courage, creativity and artistry. Let the ideas flow and make sure to create space for harvesting your intuitive genius. Leo: Career has you shining like a bright star, asking for much of you and helping you to think outside the box. You are also learning a lot about your Self in the process, growing in creative potential and getting imaginative sparks. Are you getting fried in the process? Or are your passionate flames getting stoked in meaningful and helpful ways? What relationships feel nurturing and supportive and which ones need to be cut loose? You are learning "best practice" right now in your relationships and also the art of effective communication. You must be diligent with this. Quit making assumptions. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Clarity for all involved is key in order for everyone to get their needs met. Virgo: If you can release a bit of the critic and his demeaning messages for a minute, you might create some space for a new option to arise. Take control of your mental body and don't let its messages rule you. There's so much possibility for growth and expansion in your career right now, but you must be open and receptive to receive and expand what feels possible to you. Where are you holding back and playing small? What are your needs and how are you going to get them met? (Especially in your relationships). What makes you feel comforted and supported? What does not? Attend to your basic needs, put self care first, and get embodied. Libra: Your growth curve gets amplified in the coming weeks. It's time to soak up the knowledge and wisdom that is flowing your way. Even with Sun in your 8th house which offers a hidden, inward experience, let this be a transformative time for the ego and with regard to your relationships. Past haunts may re-visit as you navigate chaos and stormy patterns within you. Be two steps ahead of the storms. Notice your new response mechanisms; or are you defaulting into your old habits when things get stressful and out of hand? This is the time to create new patterns and paradigms for your Self. Rise to the occasion and grow from past mistakes and wounds. You have resources now that you didn't have months ago. Scorpio: Purge and clean. Clean and purge. Get rid of the barnacles, time wasters, energy suckers, the vampires of your life. Not just the people and the relationships, but the habits, patterns and monetary drains. Cut and clear. This radical release will give rise to more space. Space that is sure to invite in more possibility, greater potential, more nourishment and support in all ways. Communicate your needs effectively- to others and to the universe; ask and yee shall receive. The outcome may or may not be what you were hoping for, but at least you expressed your self fully. Get clear on what works and doesn't work for you and don't be afraid to go for it. Others will either keep up or not. (FYI, most won't be able to). Don't let this stop you. Need more validation? Here's my recent article on Scorpio. Sagittarius: Old habits die hard. If you're paying attention right now, you've noticed that some of these old patterns and default behavior modes need to be identified, consciously attended to and restructured. You may be missing the ample clues so pay attention. Relationships will be giving you much room for growth, awareness, and also help you get more clear on what works for you and what doesn't. You have a tendency to hold on tightly and avoid pain. But is it worth it? Maybe it's time to finally re-write and restructure some of your contracts, change your ways, change the way you do business, change what and who you are attracting into your life? If you want something different, you must be willing to do things differently. Capricorn: You really are growing, and changing some old, bad habits to boot. Job well done! As Mercury goes retrograde on 6.07, you will get even more opportunities to restore and repair debts, mental ruts, and some old mind games. Teach and heal. Heal and be healed. Share your wisdom and knowledge with others and don't be shy to share your shadow work as well. No one is perfect and being transparent can help you attract an authentically invested crowd. Heart work is vital right now and part of your growth curve. Pain and all. Crack open the heart lotus and don't be afraid of what you find. Aquarius: You are working on courage and creativity in some big ways right now. Spark something new and tend to your heart flame. Learn, grow and invite in new wisdom and ideas. Is it possible you are closed off to possibilities because you think you "know" already? Don't let the ego block your growth and depth. Looking into your shadowed parts and the places you are terrified to look at within your self and your past, are essential right now. Use these last few weeks of Jupiter in your 5th house to fearlessly expand your intuitive wisdom by clearing out the old blocks. Hint: You will need to be extra vigilant with your mind. Digest your thoughts and note connections between your gut and your mental processes. Pisces: Learning the right thing to say at the right time takes practice. Being bold about asking for what you need and finding ways to get nourished takes a lot of courage. You are working on these pieces right now. Relationships are testing you and calling upon you to get your needs, boundaries and ideals in check. What are your personal values? Are your relationships able to meet these needs? Courageously work on changing old patterns, belief systems and parts of your ego that are keeping you from your depths and intuitive wisdom. All the chaos and crisis of the previous months have been here to help you get clear on what works for you and what doesn't. Are you making the necessary changes for increased clarity? Moon begins its waxing cycle (Shukla Paksha) this week after the new Moon on 5.28.
Tuesday, 5.27 Moon moves to Taurus at 12:38 pm CDT where it becomes exalted until 18:14 CDT this evening. Moon then moves to its mulitrikona degrees instead, however the power and clarity of this position can still be felt. Make hay while the Sun shines. Moon is in its final tithi (Moon phase) as it reaches its complete emptiness or new Moon status (amavasya) which takes place tomorrow. Moon is in Krittika nakshatra today. Krittika is ruled by Agni, which has everything to do with purifying, clearing and clarifying. Agni is the sacred fire god, literally the fire of life, who insures our transformations on all levels of existence- both internally and externally. He has an exactness and a certain precision which can be ideal for "cutting to the chase" and being extremely direct. Agni can help us see clearly what needs to occur for greater ease and momentum in our lives. Today, let go and let god. If you've had an agenda and a fixation on relationships, desires, changes that need to be made within you or your circumstances, surrender them. There's a plan that is greater than you and has your best interests in mind. Don't doubt this. Create space for the myriad of possibilities that exist outside of our small minds. The only thing standing in your way is you. Be open and perceptive to sudden change and the changes that may be necessary in order for you to truly embrace your deepest longings. What can you cut out, let go of and clarify today? Wednesday, 5.28 Moon moves to Rohini nakshatra at 07:24 am CDT. Moon is in its mulitrikona sign of Taurus still. Rohini is ruled by Lord Brahma who created the universe. His vast creativity is expressed through this auspicious nakshatra. It is a new Moon day as well. New Moon is at 13:40 CDT with Moon in Taurus and in Rohini nakshatra. Read more about the new Moon and the coming waxing cycle. Use these Amavasya (new Moon) Harvesting questions for deeper inquiry: What am I ripe and ready for? What are my desires for the next two weeks? What action steps can I take for greater fruits and a richer harvest? What potential awaits me? What strength am I arriving at? What actions were left undone in the last cycle that I need to revisit? How do I want to move forward? Where do I want to channel my creativity and how? What support do I need with my efforts? What am I stepping towards? Tap into your vast creative potential today. With your empty vessel, create conscious and nourishing ways to fill and be filled. Create a mandala and "fill your cup" with intention. Sync up with the new Moon and learn more about the purpose of this cycle here. Thursday, 5.29 Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra today at 08:47 am CDT. The ruler of this nakshatra is Chandra, the sanskrit name for the Moon. Connected to soma, growth, ojas and the spark of creative potential, today offers changes that can better serve and nourish us. We will be moving quickly in heart and mind. Fluctuations and flutters are inevitable as Chandra moves quickly and the symbol of this nakshatra is a deer. Changes in relationships may be felt today. Who has changed? You or the other? What awakenings are present as you re-direct your focus towards greater needs, nourishment and support? What is working and not working in your relationship dynamics? As Moon moves into Gemini at 21:38 CDT, the mental body kicks up and may churn up overwhelm. Temper this with embodiment and grounding, self care rituals and creative and artistic processes. Have you done your new Moon mandala and harvesting work yet? Friday, 5.30 Moon transits Gemini with Mercury and Jupiter there. These three planets receive drishti (gaze) from Rahu. Mental body is moving quickly and much expansion can be felt with ideas, visions, creativity and possibilities. How can you harvest these fruits and capture these golden nuggets of grande thought? Day dream and let desires expand you for now. Mercury moves to Ardra nakshatra at 6:30 am CDT leading the way for Moon to move into this nakshatra as well. Moon moves into Ardra nakshatra at 10:36 am CDT; the Rahu and Rudra (storm god) energy enlivens. Does he expand you into overwhelm and excessive cravings that lead to more frustration? Or can you temper his shadowy nature with focus? Harness the momentum that can be felt right now. Write lists and "dump out your head" on paper. Set goals, prioritize and be potent in your actions. As Moon crosses Mercury now in Ardra as well, overwhelm and mental spin can set in. It will be important today (as well as the next two weeks of Mercury in Ardra) to attend to the emotional and physical bodies for grounding and support, rather then letting the mental body get away with its usual mayhem. Saturday, 5.31 As Moon moves closer to Jupiter and into Punarvasu nakshatra at 12:50 pm CDT, the wisdom begins to surface. The pieces that arrived abruptly and painfully yesterday and earlier today, begin to translate into greater awareness. Aditi, the mother of all goodness and abundance provides us with a more unified experience. She has a harmonizing effect on us and can nourish and support us where we need it most. In what ways can you move towards greater nourishment, support, stability and strength today? Take time for inward and nourishing activities. Meditation and yoga are vital re-charge tools for today and will give you the maximum harvesting of your inner journey. Sunday, 6.01 Moon moves into Cancer (its own sign) at 08:46 am CDT where it receives drishti (gaze) from Saturn. Moon moves into Pushyami nakshatra at 15:27 CDT, enlivening its ruler, Brihaspati, another name for Jupiter. However, this nakshatra is ruled by Saturn, so we get direct access to the expansion (Jupiter) and contraction (Saturn) elements today. The dynamics of Saturn at play with the Moon can bring a restrictive feeling. Though nourishment can be harvested and received with some surrender. How can we use structure and restraint today in order for nourishment? Attend to your inner needs. Find nourishment and support in slow, small, steady and in gentle silence. Work with expand and contract, open and close principles as well as the other dynamics of the heart lotus while Moon is in Cancer. Find my Exalted Jupiter & Heart mp3 here for greater creative awareness and support with this dynamic. Plan your week in tune with Nature. Never miss my Moon Mind Calendar. Sign up for my newsletter. First day of Vasant Navaratri, and first day dedicated to Ma Durga. Moon is waxing and transits from Pisces into Aries, joining Ketu there as it enters Ashwini nakshatra. Heal, rejuvenate, purge. 4.01 Day two of Navaratri and second day of celebrations dedicated to Durga. Moon moves past Ketu and into to Bharani nakshatra. Ruled by Venus and Yama, lord of death and restraint, this is a particularly delicate and challenging lunar constellation. The experience for the Moon is one of pressure and exhaustion. Though you may be pulled in multiple directions today, the needs of the Moon are to soften, to turn in, and to flow with life more harmoniously. Turn rigidity into smoothness if possible. 4.02 Moon moves to Krittika on the 3rd day of Navaratri and the 3rd and final day dedicated to Durga. Moon becomes exalted as it moves into Taurus at 19:42 CDT. The day brings cutting, letting go and finalizing details connected to necessary purification. There are some tensions today for expansion. We want bigger, faster, more right now, which is creating heat and agitation. Slow down and put it into first gear. Only do what's necessary and find time for creativity and soothing the emotions. 4.03 First day of Lakshmi and Moon moves to Rohini at 14:24 CDT. Expect quick changes, fast maneuvers and creative impulses later in the day. Brahma and Moon rule this nakshatra and offer creativity and the spark of creation, beauty and passion. Passions are high and intense, cravings intensify and desire is strong. Put this creative momentum into action. Find a way to channel it properly, in order to maximize it. Mercury moves to Pisces on the 3rd at 20:48 CDT, which is its sign of debilitation. He joins Sun here and gets direct drishti from retrograde Mars. This transit, though relatively short in duration (a little over two weeks) may bring a feeling of being pulled in too many directions. Read more about this transit. 4.04 Second day of Lakshmi in the Navaratri festivities. Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 15:56 CDT and creativity gets more of a laser focus (or moves to overwhelm depending on your ability to take effective action). The mind heats up. Does it evaporate as Mercury joins the Sun in Pisces? Or do you get super clear on what best practice is for your mental focus? Regardless, look for softness- intuition can be accessed in unique ways right now. Mental sensitivity can be a gift at this time. Slow down to get the messages. 4.05 Moon moves to Gemini at 4:56 CDT on the third day of Lakshmi's celebrations. Moon joins Jupiter here and receives drishti from Rahu, then moves into Ardra nakshatra at 18:04 CDT, Rudras nakshatra. Look for movement, change and sudden shifts later in the day. Harsh emotions may be felt or experienced. Watch for sudden explosions, stormy weather, and possible sadness or grief emerging from your depths. Dance in the rain. 4.06 This is the first day dedicated to goddess Saraswati in the Navaratri celebration. Moon moves to Punarvasu nakshatra late evening at 20:39 CDT. The storms of Ardra rule the majority of the day, but as Aditi takes over in the late evening, understanding and more harmony sets in. Moon has crossed Jupiter by this point. The exchange between Mercury and Jupiter (Mercury rules Gemini and Jupiter rules Pisces where Mercury is transiting) gives a mental perspective that helps expand, teach and provide support which can be used to your advantage. Look for the light. |
