This Week's Intention: Make your relationships a priority- the relationship with your self and with others. Moon continues to wax, gain fullness and fill our emotional cups. Our inner tides are swelling. Monday begins with Moon in Leo transiting Magha nakshatra, the domain of the ancestors, represented by Pitr. Moon receives drishti (gaze) from both Mars and Saturn, providing heat and tension, stops and go's, as well as possible frustrations and discontent. Feeling discomfort? Use this as a reminder of what is not working for you. Then take steps towards what will provide you with deeper nourishment and comfort- whether it's on the emotional, mental, spiritual or physical body levels. As Moon shifts into Purvaphalguni nakshatra late afternoon, our attention moves towards relating, creating and life force energy. Let the shakti move you! Tuesday continues with themes from Purvphalguni and its ruling deity, Bhaga. Relationships, sexuality and sensuality give their effects. Shakti, life force energy, is potent today. How will you direct it and channel it? Get creative and capture your insights, imagination and communication skills. Speak, share, connect, co-create. Watch for emotional flair ups. Navigate your emotions and relationships with tact and grace. As Moon shifts into the latter half of the Phalguni constellation late Tuesday evening, Aryaman arrives inviting in family matters and a focus on sustaining relationships. Moon shifts into Virgo as Wednesday begins and Aryaman continues to offer us support with maintaining our relationships and all that it takes to make them endure. With Moon and Rahu's conjunction here, we may feel a sense of challenge, uncertainty or ambiguity within certain relationships. What can the challenges share with you about your needs for nourishment and support? For those relationships we want to last, remember the effort we put in will determine the rewards we reap. Security comes with relationships that are time-tested. What are you working towards in your relationships? What is worth keeping? What needs to be shifted, changed or re-directed? As Mars and Mercury conjunct tightly today, both combust the Sun, the mind will be extra hot. Watch your temper and see if you can find the root of your agitation. Jyotish Basics Classes open this week for June! The focus of the month is Money and Wealth. Ready to increase your financial stability and change your relationship with money? Join me for classes. Just before midnight, Moon moves into Hasta nakshatra, moving closer to Rahu. This combination takes us through Thursday. An exchange between Virgo and Taurus occurs with Moon transiting Mercury's sign of exaltation while Mercury transits Moon's sign of exaltation. This increases the potency of our relationships, but more importantly our communication within them. Reaching out to your support systems and effectively communicating, is vital. Share what needs to be shared. Connect, communicate, co-create. Ask for clarity and support and get your needs met. Hasta's ruler, Savitr, is here to offer his light. What can he help you see more clearly? Venus moves to the edge of Gemini. Relationships and communication are potent themes right now. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Reach out, connect and collaborate. What aren't you saying or hesitant to speak about? What do you need to ask for that you've kept silent? Early Friday morning, Moon moves to Chitra nakshatra, enlivening its deity, Vishva Karma. Building, planing and organizing our action steps is supported today. Mid-afternoon, Moon shifts to Libra which continues the theme of relationships, commerce, support and stability. How can you find greater balance and clarity? What action steps can you take today that supports your clarity? What actions will help you get the job done effectively and efficiently? What are your personal needs and the needs within your relationships? Keep inner and outer awareness and use this for greater harmony and balance. Venus moves into Cancer at 08:01 PDT on Saturday morning. He joins exalted Jupiter here and both receive gaze from Ketu. This cycle brings home, emotions, heart to the surface. Themes connected to comfort, nourishment and support are enlivened. There may be conflicts between material vs. spiritual desires, our wants vs. our needs. Flashes of insight, wisdom and spiritual support may arrive for some. Others may experience challenges on the home front and with relationships during this cycle. Moon transits Swati nakshatra all day Saturday, bringing swift change, movement and transition through the winds of Vayu. With the Moon waxing and in the 13th tithi now, our emotional cups are almost full. What are you filled with and what needs to be released? Let the winds of Vayu help you swiftly move towards your desires today. Allow change and transformation to occur. Resistance will bring suffering. Instead, deepen your surrender. As Moon shifts into Vishaka nakshatra mid morning on Sunday, alliances and connections play a vital role in our day. The dual god, Indra and Agni, rule Vishaka. They remind us that two heads are better than one and that we all need support, community, partnership and co-creation in order to survive. How can you ask for more support today? Who and what do you need to connect with for greater nourishment and support? Reach out today. Mars, Mercury and Sun are still tightly conjunct in Taurus which is causing heat and intensity within our communication and our ability to feel and receive support and stability. See if you can identify where the challenge is truly located and what is underneath the irritation. Tuesday brings the full Moon in Scorpio, its sign of debilitation. This is considered a "grief Moon", one that is sensitive and in a process of release. Now is an important time to be aware of what you are releasing on the emotional body level. Jyotish Basics Classes open this week for June! The focus of the month is Money and wealth. Ready to increase your financial stability and change your relationship with money? Join me for classes.

A new Sun energy begins during this waxing cycle! All three planets receive gaze from Rahu and Saturn, adding stormy weather and the propensity for swift change and transformation in the coming days. This cycle of Sun offers us deeper grounding and support if we can find connection. Stability will be a top priority, while communication and expression will be vital to receive the nourishment we desire. Stand in your power, take your space, root and ground. Let your desires be known and ask for what you want. Be open to receive. How are you inviting in the abundance of life energy? Mercury retrogrades on May 18th for over three weeks and will resume direct motion on June 11th. Retrograde planets act like the shadow nodes Rahu and Ketu, and bring us reminders, returns and reflections. Mercury is intimately connected to communication, creativity, the mental body and our ability to share, as well as commerce, business and the market place. Contrary to popular belief, when Mercury goes retrograde, life and all communication is not ill-fated. In fact, it is a time for us to clean up, re-trace steps and pay closer attention to the messages that arrive. Use this cycle to express yourself more potently, find deeper stability and support, while getting clearer about your needs for nourishment. What aren't you saying? How can you share yourself in new ways? Read more about Mercury Retrograde. As the Moon fills, Venus moves into Cancer on May 30th and brings intensified feelings around heart and home matters. Sudden changes, fluctuations or shifts in our comfort level may arrive. What does your heart tell you about your needs for safety, comfort and support? It's time to create what you want and quit making excuses. Ask for the nourishment you need once and for all. Notice who and what shows up to support you. Let women, the arts, land, property and home help you get your needs met. Your creativity will be the ultimate determining factor for what you allow in and receive. Let your creativity help you thrive! Full Moon is Tuesday, June 2 at 11:18 CDT while the Moon is in Scorpio and Jyestha Nakshatra. Do not use these horoscopes with your Western sign (Tropical) as there is likely no correlation. These horoscopes are meant to be used as a broad overview of the current transits and obviously do not address the specifics of an individual’s unique chart.
Aries: Continue to create and connect consciously, using your artistry, creativity and communication skills. What you put out, is what you will receive, so navigate your messages carefully. It's time to get the nourishment you have been craving and find new ways of finding support. What are you ingesting, allowing into your life? What needs to be eliminated and released once and for all? Get tenacious about what you are feeding yourself. Upgrade your health and wellness. Taurus: You are finding new ways to ground, land, and get the support you need. Passion stirs your heart and home. There's a lot of heat in your head right now. How can you relieve some of the pressure? Are you taking on too much? Saying yes, when you should be saying no? Get creative, communicate and connect. Delegate, share, ask. Relationships will be a lot less challenging if you invite others into your sacred space. Gemini: Continue to resource from your depths. Pause and take time to be still and silent. In these moments you will gather the resources and visions for more creative action steps. Communicate and co-create, gather your tribe and network. Share your vision, your creativity and trust your hands to share the messages. Seek balance in diet for deeper, lasting nourishment and support from the inside out. Release and let go, simplify and stabilize through the wisdom of your gut and colon. Cancer: Retreat, rest and rejuvenation continue for you. Stay in bed as much as possible and enjoy leisure time. This is imperative for hitting re-set before Venus moves to your first house on the 30th. Life is upgrading, are you syncing with the changes? Let friends be helpful and supportive. Speak your needs and allow them to rally around you. The ones who show up are the ones to keep close. What are the ways in which you are expanding yourself and your life container? Where is there resistance to this expansion? Be a bit more fearless. Leo: Take action, communicate and connect with your career and dharma. It's time to rise and shine, share and be seen! It will take effort but trust that the obstacles arriving are helping you show up for your life in a bigger way. Teach, share and advise in foreign places, on retreats and while traveling. What nourishment are you moving towards? How can you get fed more intimately in your life by showing up and sharing in new ways? Virgo: Step closer to your dharma, your life path and stand in your knowing. It's time to gather the wisdom and truth that is within you and start to share, connect and create with it. Use your relationships to get support, to help you step up, step out and stand your ground. Stability and nourishment are available for you. Are you open to receiving or filled with doubt? Don't let the critic sabotage your efforts or keep you from getting what you need. Libra: Changes are happening deep within you. Much of this cycle will feel like a repeat, a haunt from the past, transformation that is intrinsically karmic. The other part of the process is about deep healing, rest and pause. Go slow and be intentional with this change. Creativity is a huge part of your resiliency and vitality. How creative are you allowing yourself to be? Let your relationships and your artistry become an offering. Dig up your depths in order to find new material. Staying on the surface of life will only keep you in mediocrity. Scorpio: Relationships are vital for you and your career right now. How can you reach out and connect in new ways? Strengthen your stability and support systems by co-creating, communicating, networking, resourcing from others. Your artistry, relationships and creativity are going through a transformation. Some of this may feel like very familiar territory. Old relationships and partners may re-emerge to test you. What do you really want and need? What parts of yourself are you ready to release and let go of? Keep sharing, teaching and giving your wisdom. People are hungry to connect. Make it easy for them. Sagittarius: Your stomach is asking you to listen for messages. It is craving connection, sweetness and satisfaction. It won't come from food or intoxicants, but from nourishing, creative connections and conversations. These connections can lead you to share yourself and your work in bigger and bolder ways and to deepen your life purpose. Take rest, meditate and introspect. Let the pause button be a vital part of your self care process. This will feed you and help you be nourished more deeply. Capricorn: Continue to clean up your diet, gut and lifestyle. Avoid falling off the wagon with too many sweets and intoxicants. Your stomach is giving you some really loud messages right now. Are you listening to its wisdom? There is healing to be done with digestion, assimilation of nourishment and elimination. Strive for deep, wholesome nourishment and support in all areas of your life. Start with diet, but let this be a metaphor for all that you are feeding yourself with. How can you share this with others and support their transformation as well as your own? Aquarius: Home, heart, land and all things mother are asking you to connect and create in new ways. Your heart and stomach are intimately connected. The way to your heart is through the wisdom of your gut. Work with your shadows and start peeling back the layers of your suffering. This is what binds you to others and makes your career potent. Offer and share your struggles, your humanity, and get real. People appreciate authenticity. The only thing worse than being fake is refusing to work with your own challenges and obstacles. Be the light by transforming your dark matter. Pisces: Create, communicate, connect. Get your hands into some paint and put your life-vision onto a canvas. Sing, share, use your voice. Let your heart sing! Be bold and share your vulnerability with others. Let your creativity and artistry be the messenger. Parts of you are desperately trying to emerge from the shadows. Be fearless in your excavation process. Share and connect with others through your vulnerability. Be witnessed and be a witness. This Week's Intention: Find the soft landing spots within your being and ground. Monday begins with a new Moon while in Taurus and Krittika Nakshatra. New Moon in Taurus invites us to deepen our capacity to feel, to sense and to create from this depth of feeling. Moon exalted in Krittika nakshatra at the time of the new Moon intensifies this ability to sense and feel with razor sharp exactness. There is some emotional cutting taking place, a removal happening, a deep transformation within you. Pay attention to what needs to be removed and what you are inviting in. Moon transits its exaltation sign, Taurus, with Sun, Mars and Mercury, while receiving drishti (gaze) from Rahu and Saturn. As it moves to Rohini nakshatra, creativity intensifies. Monday offers intense feelings and stirring of our emotional body. How can you find the support and stability you need within? First thing Friday morning, Moon arrives in its own sign, Cancer, joining exalted Jupiter here. Late morning Moon moves to Pushya nakshatra, Brihaspati's constellation. Nourishment arrives through wisdom, protection, support and balance. How can you be fed more deeply, root, ground and invite in a new inner strength? Monday begins with a waning Moon in the eighth tithi (lunar phase) and transits Dhanishta nakshatra, the domain of the Vasu Devas. As Moon moves into Aquarius late morning, it moves out of the gaze of the other planets, a welcome pause from the previous days. The Vasu Devas bring their light, their desire and willingness to help us shine and be seen. How can you step out of your shadows and into the light? Late evening Moon moves to Satabisha nakshatra and continues through this constellation on Tuesday. Varuna and Rahu are the rulers of Satabisha and though deep healing is possible here, it is usually a result of great difficulty, turmoil and challenge. Varuna brings a heightened awareness, which often translates as an intense critic. Be mindful of how your critic shows up today and what your relationship with it is. How can your critic help you identify your needs? As Moon shifts into Purvabhadra nakshatra late Tuesday evening, our dance with balance becomes vital. This theme carries us through Wednesday as Ajaikapada helps us find a new sense of balance. Just after noon, Moon shifts into water sign, Pisces, joining moksha planet, Ketu here. Both receive the gaze of Rahu and Jupiter. Ajaikapada steps intentionally- one foot grounded and rooted, the other poised for change, transformation and the next step. Movement is an essential part of life. What are you moving towards? What are you moving away from? Early Wednesday evening, the Moon shifts to Uttarabhadra nakshatra, forming a close conjunction with Ketu. Uttarabhadra and this close conjunction of Moon and Ketu carries us through the greater part of Thursday. Symbolized by the back legs of a funeral cot, Uttarabhadra offers us a strong connection of release, endings and letting go. Ruling deity Ahirbudhinya helps us to surf the depths of our inner tides. It's time to rip away the veils of illusion and dive deep. What are you learning about your inner currents? Late afternoon on Thursday, Moon moves to Revati nakshatra, the final lunar constellation of the zodiac, with Sun poised at the edge of its exaltation sign, Aries. Sun jumps into Taurus at 21:43 PDT, joining Mars and Mercury here as well. A new cycle of Sun energy begins! All three planets receive gaze from Rahu and Saturn, adding stormy weather and the propensity for swift change and transformation in the coming days. This cycle of Sun offers us deeper grounding and support. Stability will be a top priority, while communication and expression will be vital to receive the nourishment we desire. Stand in your power, take your space, root and ground. Let your desires be known and ask for what you want. Be open to receive. How are you inviting in the abundance of life energy? As Friday begins, Moon continues to move through Revati, Pushan's domain. He insures that our journey will be safe and fruitful, while offering us nourishment and support along the way. How can you invite in deeper fulfillment, vitality and assimilation of life? Late afternoon, Moon moves from the end of the zodiac, to the beginning, jumping into Ashwini nakshatra. Healing and rejuvenation are afoot. Let your evening be healing and creative. The first half of Saturday is ruled by Ashwini and the Asvini-Kumara twins who provide health and well being through the creative arts and the healing arts. We can increase our life force energy through both of these resources. Rejuvenate and heal through creative acts. As Moon shifts into Bharani nakshatra just after noon, Yama offers us transformation in a different way. Restraint, restrictions and death are Yama's way of keeping us true to our dharma, our path. What do you need to cut out of your life in order to get closer to your truth? What essential ingredients do you need for a pure life? As Sunday arrives, Moon continues through Bharani nakshatra, enlivening the themes associated with Yama. Late morning, Moon moves into Krittika nakshatra and the edge of Aries. Moon is in the final phase of the waning cycle, the 15th tithi. Agni is enlivened and the potential for transformation deepens. Are you allowing in change or resisting it? Moon becomes exalted just before the new Moon and this swell of the emotional body carries us through Monday. New Moon is Sunday, May 17 at 23:13 CDT while in Taurus and Krittika Nakshatra. Do you crave more details and a deeper understanding about the effects of this Moon cycle on your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being? This Week's Intention: Before you can navigate the choppy waters like a pro, you must learn how to surf the endless waves. Saturn gives his drishti (gaze) to both planets, as does Rahu. This cycle of Mars demands that we pay attention to our words and actions. Intention is everything, while action gets the job done. Avoid the tussle between thinking and doing, as well as the paralyzing details that can keep us from being bold in our doing. Where are you spinning your wheels and not moving? Where do you need greater support and stability? What are you not saying that needs to be said? Work on getting your needs met by being clear- first with yourself, then with others. Say what you mean and mean what you say.
Monday continues with a waning Moon transiting Vishaka nakshatra and moving into its debilitation sign, Scorpio, early evening. As Moon joins Saturn here, a certain depression or sadness may emerge. The gaze of Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Ketu upon Saturn and the Moon over the next two days may increase worries, doubts, fears and anxieties. Your emotional body will be dishing it out. What is the need underneath the emotion? What are your emotions telling you about your vulnerability? Seek support. Where does it come from? Just as Tuesday begins, Moon shifts into Anuradha nakshatra. Ruling deity, Mitra, offers connection and support through friendship and alliances. Let help arrive to give you what you need- whether it is through a listening ear or co-creation. Ruling planet of Scorpio, Mars, gains strength today, while Moon conjuncts Saturn exactly. Ask for what you really want and don't take no for an answer. Not sure what you really want? Ask your emotional body for clues. Underneath the feelings, lie the answers. The fog begins to lift late in the evening. Wednesday begins with Moon in Jyeshta nakshatra, Indra's domain. Strength and sensitivity come together, influenced by our senses. Tame the mind, the mental body and don't let its stories run away with you today- unless you need a good adventure! Stay true to your course, your dharma, and mind your truths. The Moon slips into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra first thing Thursday morning, moving away from the intense influence of five planets. Venus, however, gives his gaze from seven houses away, increasing feelings and creativity, as well as relationship themes. Mars offer his gaze from eight houses away now and keeps frustrations, agitations and passions well stoked. Ruling deity of Mula is the goddess of adharma, Nirriti, who insures some surprises. She brings calamity and misfortune, yet often great healing can take place through her darkness. What can the chaos teach you? How is it being self perpetuated? As Friday begins, Moon moves to the domain of the water goddess, Apas, once it enters the lunar constellation, PurvaAshada. Her healing waters bring rejuvenation, clarity and refreshment as well as sensitivity and intense feelings. Surf your inner tides today consciously- the big waves and the small ones. Honor these waves, while standing firmly rooted on the shore. The latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttarAshada, arrives first thing Saturday morning and the Vishva Devas offer their support and opportunities. The all-gods, or Laws of Nature, remind us to be true to ourselves and to stand in our truth. As Moon shifts into Capricorn early morning, Saturn offers his drishti once again, as do Rahu and Jupiter. Seek balance, find support and establish your own middle ground. Let your legs and feet ground you when the fog comes rolling in. The expansive powers of Vishnu and his nakshatra, Sravana, arrive just as Sunday begins. Vishnu is connected to akasha, space, and allows us to hear and experience sattva, truth. This ability to align with pure truth helps support dharma and inner strength. Take time to pause and deeply listen to your inner guidance systems. Let the physical body share its somatic insights and allow the spiritual body to offer its wisdom. Awaken and expand, while taking clear action steps. Align with the purity of your truth. *Time zone used for calculations is in Pacific Daylight Time. |
