This Week's Intention: Activate your full creative potential with slow, attentive steps. Be mindful of burnout and misusing your life force energy. Channel your creativity consciously- in order to maximize your manifestation magic! The new Moon in Taurus and Rohini nakshatra behind us, a creative and passionate cycle begins. As the Moon continues to wax, manifestation comes to the forefront. Needs increase, as well as the awareness of what your needs are. It's time to create what you want and get results! But be sure to start this process by first honoring the the seeds you're planting with tenderness and presence. Monday, June 6th Moon in 2nd tithi Dvitiya The week begins with the intense energy of Ardra just as Moon begins its waxing cycle. The emotional body is still fragile, inward and sensitive. Moon moves through Gemini, while its ruling planet Mercury moves to the edge of Aries. The mind and emotions are delicate today and Ardra's ferocity may provoke unpredictable emotional outbursts from you and from others. Passions are high, confusion is strong, overwhelm is present. Do you choose to land in the storm or in the eye of it. You get to use your power with freewill. To read the full report, sign up for my membership. Need some personal guidance and clarity? As the silence of spring arrives, a certain dynamic energy is awakening. The eclipse portal is sealing. The full Moon and lunar eclipse are behind us. The Holi festivities are winding down. The soil has been cleared. The seeds have been planted. Make your process intentional. Bring awareness to your growth. Own and honor this fresh start! Saturn Retrograde Saturn goes retrograde in Scorpio at 02:50 am PDT and will be moving in reverse until August 13th, 2016. Retrograde planets act like the nodes Rahu and Ketu, which adds to the intensity of how a planet will express themselves. As the slowest moving planet, Saturn causes the most prolonged challenges. It's important to play by his rules and honor his requests for slow, steady action, simplicity and alignment with nature's rhythms. His transit through Scorpio is digging up very old grief, emotions and challenges- connected to subconscious and unconscious territory. Read more about Saturn in Scorpio. Venus in Pisces Increasing the theme of fertility and abundance during this "gap" time, Venus moves to its exaltation sign, Pisces on March 31st at 14:35 PDT, where she joins Sun and debilitated Mercury here. Challenges will arise with Venus's enemy, the Sun, and the debilitation of Venus's friend, Mercury. Venus is water, whereas the Sun is fire. When they conjunct, steam is created. Mercury symbolizes the mental body- meaning the mind will be feeling this steam. Physical and spiritual bodies (Sun) and your creative life force energy (Venus) will also be effected by the clouds. How do you work with the energy of steam? Do you use it to power your engine, or do you get lost in its mist and fog? Mercury in Aries Saturday, April 2nd at 15:02, Mercury crosses the tricky gap between endings/release (Pisces) and beginning/potential (Aries). The movement from debilitation in a water sign, to a fiery and aggressive sign, will cause the mind to feel fragile and agitated. A release process is being instigated. Notice where necessary clean-up and final release for this round must take place. Honor this process of endings and beginnings. *Horoscopes are based on your Vedic (sidereal) rising sign. You can also check your Moon and Sun signs for further insight. Do the same with your Navamsa signs for further clarity. Do not use these horoscopes with your Western sign (Tropical) as there is likely no correlation. These horoscopes are meant to be used as a broad overview of the current transits and obviously do not address the specifics of an individual’s unique chart. Aries: Keep digging up your depths and looking at your inner conflicts. The parts of you that say yes, but really mean no. The parts of you that say no, but really mean yes. The desire to strengthen your power, your inner knowing, is driving this self inquiry. Taurus: As the doors of your heart swing open, notice the physical response within you. What happens next? Do you continue to open or do these doors within close swiftly, without hesitation? I invite you to linger. Find that moment. When the door is neither open, nor closed. Gemini: Your sign represents powerful creative energy co-creating- resulting in a third, dynamic energy being created. Or the "emergent third" as it is often referred to in the art therapy realms. This emergent third, or "the third", is delicate, vulnerable and thus extremely powerful. Cancer: In your quest for deeper nourishment, you must be honest about your resistance to receiving. What is it about deep nourishment that causes you such pain? Lean into your discomfort, as this is vital for increasing your threshold of expansion. Expand your container, your holding, of both light and dark, pain and joy. Leo: This old story of your power is beginning to crumble. Partly because it's becoming less interesting to you. Partly because you're learning a new way. But first you have to allow the total demolition of the old structure, the old way of being. How you are, who you are- in relationship with Self, with others? Virgo: You are learning how to relate to yourself in new, more intimate ways. From here, you can show up more fully for others. It takes courage to awaken to your failings, your actions and choices, that have not nourished or supported you. Lean into these "failures" as there is great wisdom here. Libra: Pick up the pieces you dropped long ago. The parts of your being that allow you to connect, contain, strengthen, commit. The parts you abandoned for lightness, ease and fluidity. It's time to find balance and integration now, to find that moment when you are awake to both- structure and flow. Scorpio: This battle you have been identifying within is the key to unlock so many layers of resistance. Resistance to nourishment, support, to gather more of what you want and need. This old, epic battle- the one between life and death, pain and joy. As you crack your heart open wider, this conflict can release. Sagittarius: You are becoming more attentive to your inner silence- either by force or your own desire. This silence is a gift, a place to soften and surrender to your true needs, your heart's longings. It takes courage to show up here fully. Honor your bravery. The love begins to flow more fluidly in the coming days. Capricorn: You are learning what it feels like to cut away the unnecessary. The harsh, the brutal. Deepening your ability to feel true comfort and support. The kind that comes from your inner being. When you aren't wasting your energy on force and physical struggle, you can arrive into the receptive more fully. Aquarius: It is a fragile time for you. And in this fragility is great strength. Ripen with this potential, possibility, the unknown and uncertainty. Gather the most important pieces and arrange them carefully with intention. The truth is, these pieces, are the foundation you need to create a more solid ground. Pisces: The pieces of you that are still in hiding are beginning to see the light. All the ways you've kept yourself from feeling love, connection, support. They are emerging. Some of this is showing up through pain, challenge, conflict, separateness, some of this through experiencing joy and pleasure. Moon is completely full on November 6th at 16:21 CST in Aries and Bharani nakshatra. The Vishva Devas are enlivened when the Moon is in Purnima, fullness. Creativity, light and expression are available to us in greater capacity. With the Moon in Bharani nakshatra at this time, Yama brings an element of restraint and containment to us. He is an enforcer- of Natural Law, of right and wrong, of karma. He insists on transformation and brings it to us through his truth. Everyone at some point will have to face the scrutiny of Yama. He tells it like it is. The harsh realities of life and death. Bharani is therefor considered an Ugra nakshatra- one that is harsh and dreadful. Cutting, executive decisions and abilities are possible, as well as success in destruction and interrupting. There is a strong element of clearing, destroying and removing with this full Moon. There's harshness available for taking care of these tasks. The need for removing the old and outworn, all that is creating our malnourishment, is very strong right now. We are being asked to find a greater sense of balance, while deepening our container, so that we may hold more of the vital nutrients we need for our lives. Our ability to be nourished is directly connected to how much we are willing to remove the old, outworn, unhealthy parts of our lives and work with our shadows. Libra reminds us that there is a flip side to everything and that we must always look deeply into our own mirror- the mirror of other. Every shadow has a gift and can bring us light. All light, has a shadow and darkness as well. When we are willing to dance with all parts of our being, we come into greater balance and wholeness. This is unity consciousness. In this cycle, relationships require and request our re-balancing. They can continue to serve as our resource for deep awakening, for looking at our own shadows and darkness, and the places within us where we need to shine more light. Additionally, the resource of creativity brings us more flow, more life, more love and resources, including money. The pelvis becomes a primary resource once again, so use it as a stabilizing force. And our sense of self, our ego and our ability to resource within our own being, becomes vital in this waning cycle. Embodiment, and listening deeply to the impulses, the messages of our body, is a potent reminder for our path. The physical body, is where we have the ability to harvest our nourishment and the greatest knowing of our needs. Within the junction point of the physical body and the knowing it provides us, is where the felt senses enliven and our emotional body wisdom can be activated. Get embodied and listen closely to the messages that will be arriving in the coming cycle. Intuition will be strengthened once the planets start passing through Scorpio. This balancing act, the stability that we are moving into, moving towards at this time, gets transformed, changed and re-imagined as we near the new Moon on the 22nd. For now, create gentle undulations and ride your own waves, by rooting into your depths. Creative Ritual for the Waning Moon Cycle ::: As I mentioned above, we are working with a dance of balance during this waning Moon cycle. Balance requires that our various needs, wants and desires- the various parts of ourselves- find some integration, some greater sense of wholeness and equilibrium. Libra represents our "other" half, our mirror. Our shadows and light, our depth and our surface, our need for communion and separation, our walk with life and death. Extremes, polarities and difference come into view and provoke us, if we choose, to go deeper into our being. Libra reminds us that we are multifaceted, and have more than one side to ourselves. This is our dance for the waning cycle. Working directly with our two halves- perhaps the oppositions within us. This creative ritual is designed to help bring more synergy within us, more balance. 1) Identify a conflict within your life. What are you aware of within your life that brings up a sense of opposition for you? Maybe it's staying in a relationship or leaving. Perhaps it's losing weight, but uncertainty about how to do that. Maybe you want more money in your life, but it feels impossible. What is the greatest challenge that is present for you right now? Notice how it makes you feel. What sensations in the body arrive when you think of this issue, problem or concern? Where do you feel this arrive in your body? Again, be present to how this problem shows up in your body. Be present to the sensations, body parts, and any imagery that arrives. 2) Create an image of this conflict, this problem, and how it makes you feel, and how your body responds to it. What colors, textures, images and shapes arrive on the paper? Use craypas for this one, as the solid consistency of this medium will help establish the feelings onto the page. Use your creation process to fully translate this life issue for you. Get messy and wild if you need to! Let your image speak to you. If your drawing could talk, what would it tell you? Take 20 minutes for this. 3) Move your image. The next step is to get your problem moving, to get the mass of energy that this life problem poses for you, to shape shift and start flowing more. Look at your image and let yourself be attracted to a part of it that interests you or intrigues you. Perhaps a color, texture, line or shape beckons you. Go there. Then, begin to move this part of your image. Let sounds emerge. Notice the body parts being utilized. Notice the responses in the body as you move and listen for impulses from the body. Let it keep speaking to you and keep following its impulses. Move your image, develop your movements and explore your conflict image through this movement exploration for at least 20 minutes. 4) Harvest from your experience. What pieces of your personal mythology arrived through your image and movement exploration? What resources did you discover through your image and movement exploration? I share details below, but look for a Full Moon Wisdom article and new horoscopes later this week with even more details.
The big shift of Saturn into Scorpio has now happened. Saturn is barely adjusting to Scorpio and still under a degree. My advise from last week about getting embodied is still relevant- and carries through the waning Moon cycle. Stay grounded and in your body as much as possible. Mercury shifts into Libra once again and emotional tides are high with the full Moon, so be aware that life may feel overwhelming, big, expansive and very new in many ways. Take action steps gently, create alliances, and celebrate your path. We are all in for a Scorpio type adventure for the next 2.5 years! If you haven't had a Saturn yagya yet, now's the time! Monday, November 3rd Today's Intention: Loosen the grip you have on yourself. Lighten your load. Moon moves into Pisces at 02:55 am CST, joining Ketu there, while receiving drishti from Jupiter, Mercury and Rahu. Then Moon moves into Uttarabhadrapada at 08:30 am. This awakens Ahirbudhnya, another son of Vishvakarma. He is considered the serpent of the deep, and rules over the nether regions, the hidden realms, and our subconscious mind. He is also a Rudra like his brother Ajaikapada, but he removes misfortune and can grant enjoyment, refreshments and delights. The symbol here is the back legs of a funeral cot, exemplifying the final release, letting go. Fruitful endeavors can be granted, or old struggles can be released. Work with the subconscious mind today and unravel, loosen and release the old tangled webs holding you back from your goals! Venus moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 19:52 CST. Alliances, relationships and the ability to co-create with others, proves especially valuable and important in the coming weeks. Work diligently with partnerships, team building, and giving gratitude for the resources others bring into your life. We accomplish nothing alone. Invite others into your world and accomplish more! Vishaka reminds us that giving and receiving makes the world go round! Mercury nears the edge of Virgo, its sign of exaltation, and is now sandhi. Both Saturn (physical body) and Mercury (mental body) are sandhi right now as Moon (emotional body) nears Ketu (our awakened shadows). Get embodied and stay grounded in the moment as much as possible right now. It's too easy to slip out of the body and get lost in the mind and thoughts. Moon is waxing and in the 12th tithi (Moon phase) now. Full Moon this week on the 6th in Aries! The doors close at midnight tonight on my Early Bird pricing for my Dharma Foundations Course!! Moon moves to Revati nakshatra at 06:53 am CST, inviting in Pushan and another level of Mercury to our day. Moon nears exact conjunction with Ketu, so expect some mental sparks today. Especially because Rahu gives his drishti, as well as a sandhi Mercury who is ready to jump into Libra. Mars also gives his gaze, intensifying the heat and fire element. Emotions may be invoked, or provoked today, so be sure to do a 3 level check in for greater awareness about your needs. Pushan insures our safe travels, nourishes our path, and helps us to flourish, prosper and create increase. He is a guardian for journeys that are on the material level and astral level- those beyond the human body. He leads us to abundance and a sense of thriving. Mercury moves back into Libra today at 09:37 am CST, joining debilitated Sun, and Venus there in its own sign. Mercury is here until November 24th. Libra becomes the center of our attention once again, invoking a need for greater balance, harmony and movement in our lives. Relationships, co-creating and nourishing communication are all vital right now. Inspire and get inspired. Seek solutions. In just a few short weeks, our attention and energy will shift to Scorpio, when we will have a cluster of four planets in this sign. Transformations are afoot, but for now, focus on re-centering, re-balancing and re-stabilizing. Wednesday, November 5th Today's Intention: Self care is non-negotiable. Put your needs first. Let healthy boundaries rejuvenate you. Mars moves out of Mula nakshatra at 02:47 am CST and into PurvaAshada, ruled by the Water goddess Apas and the planet Venus. This brings us a shift into greater flow, ease and fluidity- which becomes more possible in our action steps. Sensitivity and feelings are increased, as well as greater invitation for rejuvenation and purification. If you haven't already begun your fall cleanse, now is the time to take action steps toward clearing and cleaning your physical body. It is also vital to be clearing and cleaning your mental/emotional bodies as well. Cleanse from the inside out. But gently, not harshly. The ruler here, Apas, is the water goddess who can increase fluidity and flow for us. Take note if you need more life nourishment, monetary flow, love and creativity. Use this wisdom to get you started. Moon is now in the 14th tithi, nearing complete fullness, and jumps into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra at 05:25 am CST, inviting in another level of rejuvenation and healing thanks to the Ashwini-kumara twins. Their domain includes rasayanas, which bring strength and vitality. Both the creative arts and the healing arts fall under their domain. Moon receives drishti from the three planets in Libra: debilitated Sun, Venus in its own sign, and now Mercury, who is still in young degrees. A strong sense of balance is desired today. Seek solutions and resources for getting your needs met. Moon moves to the 15th tithi at 18:06 CST and the fullness begins! Thursday, November 6th Today's Intention: Be filled. But first, remove all that does not create space for your own fulfillment. Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra at 04:12 am CST, inviting in Yama and another level of Venus to our day, and our full Moon experience. Drishti on the Moon from three planets in Libra is still relevant thanks to debilitated Sun, Venus in its own sign, and now Mercury, who has crossed over the two degree mark. We are still working with a strong need for balance- a general theme for this time period. Work with the stability available from the pelvis in order to ground, and root. Seek solutions and resources for getting your needs met. Invite in flow and fluidity. Be vigilant with second chakra messages. Moon is completely full at 16:21 CST in Aries and Bharani nakshatra. Take yourself from flicker to flame, ash to akasha. Moon transits into Krittika nakshatra at 03:21 am CST, inviting in the deity Agni and its ruler Sun to our day. Today invites in a sense of purification, clarifying and a need for greater digestion and assimilation. Use the creative arts and embodiment for increasing the necessary flow and fluidity in your life. Your digestion process has a direct impact on your ability to create, re-generate and revitalize yourself. Work with your fire and its transformational abilities. Today is about shifting, changing and re-creating. Moon hops into Taurus at 09:12 am CST, and goes into its exaltation degrees until 14:30 am CST. As Soon as Moon shifts into Taurus, it receives drishti from Saturn in Scorpio and Rahu in Virgo. Intensity in the body and with our shadows, stirs the emotional body. This position of exalted Moon, however, exemplifies the expansiveness of the emotional body and can bring with it tidal waves. Ride these waves. Purge, release and transform through the wisdom of the emotional body. Use my Creative Ritual to explore the transformational level of your current experiences and conflicts. Saturday, November 8th Today's Intention: Get moving and get creative. Feel your desires, then take action! Moon moves into Rohini nakshatra at 02:58 am CST, enlivening the support of lord Brahma and his consort goddess Saraswati. Moon is in Taurus and considered in its sign of mulitrikona, a strong placement for the felt senses, creativity and self expression. Doubly so because of its Rohini placement right now. Rahu gives his drishti, as does Saturn. This creates some extra pressures on the Moon and increases and heightens the intensity of our feelings. Think of it like an amplification or choppy waters. How can you channel this in a way that moves you, inspires you and gets your creativity flowing? Go bold and start manifesting your desires. Open your channels of creativity and get your life moving! Sunday, November 9th Today's Intention: Sense, feel and reach into your dreams in order harvest your action steps. Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra 03:09 am CST inviting in the deity Soma, and the planet Mars. Divine nourishment, the nectar of life is available to feed us today. Sensing, feeling, reaching and branching out in order to thrive are the resources for our day. Seek the nectar that will nourish you from your depths, to your tips. From feet to head, first chakra (your roots) all the way to your 7th chakra (your celestial being). Don't neglect your roots, for this is the foundation you need for growth and abundance. Mercury moves to Swati nakshatra at 04:48 am CST, which encourages movement and change within our mental body, our communications and commerce. The deity Vayu rules over Swati nakshatra. He is present in breath, prana, as well as wind and air. His ability to move us, shift and change us, can be felt in soft, gentle breezes, or strong, stormy gusts. Working with the ever fluctuating mental body in the coming weeks will be vital. Three level check ins are a must. Harness the winds of the mind and you harness your being. Moon moves to Gemini at 15:29 CST, and receives drishti from Mars. Whenever Moon and Mars connect, there is dance with fire and water. This combination can increase anger, passion, and our attraction to red. It can also bring strength and blessings from the divine mother. Look for the opening, the gift, in the challenges and intensity that arrive. Anger is a potent and powerful gift to receive! Monday, November 10th Today's Intention: Roar like you've never roared before! Moon moves to Ardra nakshatra at 03:58 am CDT, inviting in Rudra and Rahu into our day. Moon receives direct gaze from Mars, increasing the emotional intensity available with Ardra. The morning, and our week, start off with a bang! Rudra brings immense power and strength with him and when he combines with the Moon, this can bring immense emotional currents. This is why Ardra is connected to anger and the ferocity that anger offers us. (Anger is like a big wave, not like a ripple on the water.) Anger is an exceptional gift if used properly. When used improperly, it is a mental body dysfunction. When our anger is resourced from our emotional body wisdom, our sensing, it can be used as a tool of activation, motivation and power. It can be a dharmic gift, a 3rd chakra oriented self empowerment tool. How do you find the gift in anger? Look at the needs it is sharing with you. That need can be a huge source of awakening for you. It takes willingness, action steps and courage to go into the depth of your needs and use them as a personal development resource. Your anger can get you there and Rudra can make this happen. Charge forward today and roar loudly! Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Does the word power make you cringe? Or celebrate? Now is a good time to ask your Self: What is my relationship with power? If you follow my planetary transit reports, then you are well aware of the themes I've been discussing for weeks and months that involve "letting go" and finding a "less is more" approach to life while re-evaluating all of our relationships. The lunar eclipse in Libra on April 15th, marked a poignant two week period of intensity, which will culminate with the solar eclipse on April 29th. Get the details on all of that here. All of this attention on Aries and Libra has been a theme for well over a year due to the Saturn, Rahu and Ketu transits. These planets and their movements have been activating our issues with power, ego, relationships, self care, boundaries, finding new ways of being, and a new sense of balance. So as we come to the end of Rahu and Ketu's 18 month transit through Libra and Aries respectively (in July), the eclipses mark a moment in time where we get to "propel forward" with these themes by doing a conscious audit of our head space. Here to help us with these themes, is the newly exalted Sun in Aries. The cosmos are always timely! Sun moved to its sign of exaltation on 4.13 joining Ketu there. This transit lasts until Sun moves to Taurus on 5.14. Both Sun and Ketu in Aries receive drishti (gaze) from a retrograde and compromised Saturn, as well as Rahu in Libra. Mars gives his drishti to Sun and Ketu from Virgo eight houses away, bringing an extra level of heat and pressure to the Sun and Aries right now. Despite the challenging combinations at play, there is clearly moksha (a sense of liberation) in the works from this configuration and the nakshatras (lunar constellations) involved. The coming weeks of Sun in Aries, bring surprises, pressures and awakenings that insure liberation on multiple levels of life as we navigate the theme of "personal power". Exalted Sun is a time when the Sun is the "fullest" in his experience of life; his energy is maximized and feeling its own power. This translates as each of us working with our own relationship to power- for better or worse. With power comes great responsibility, a need for purpose and a request for intention, in order for maximum alignment with one's dharma and greater life harmony. Sun's cohabitation with Ketu at this time indicates cleansing, restructuring and purification of our soul, our sense of dharma, purpose and power. Ketu's extraction process is usually not fun and often comes quickly. Prepare to feel naked and vulnerable at times during this transit, stripped and uncertain of who and what to trust. The flip side of great confidence and power is vulnerability. Finding balance with our own innate strength is part of what this exalted Sun transit can offer us, even if our power feels uncertain. This is a time that encourages us to work on themes of power and personal power- within us and within our relationships. Don't miss my planetary articles and offerings. Sign up for my newsletter. Dance with your power!
Exalted Sun: The Head and Our Relationship with Power {Part of my virtual workshop series} ::: Sunday May 4th 12:00 to 1:30 pm CDT Sun is our energy, power and dynamism, which connects to our innate masculine/father energy. Sun transits Aries (its sign of exaltation) from April 13th to May 15th. Aries and Sun are both connected to our Head (the 1st house) as well as the 5th house of creativity and passion. We need to be fully dynamic beings, taking charge of our life power and our inner/outer passion in order to move forward effectively in life. This workshop will explore the dynamics at play between head, Aries, Sun, inner power, energy levels, and finding an embodied experience with these pieces. This work will help us navigate burnout, overwhelm, motivation and our actions more consciously. We will use somatic exploration, creative ritual and the arts, as well as journaling and a unique harvesting process for the workshop. Come prepared to move, create, inquire and share. Don't miss out! Enrollment ends Sunday April 27th for the first Exalted Sun workshop + Early Bird discount! Complete details about my new Cosmic & Creative Self Workshop series. *The workshop will be presented via conference call, but available as a recording for those who are not able to attend live. |
