We have just passed the new Moon and Winter Solstice, and now the Moon begins its waxing cycle. The week begins with a sense of deep emptiness, release, and if we are paying attention, the depth of our darkness. It is a magical time in many ways and full of vast potential. As the light begins to slowly return now to our days, I encourage you to be very intentional about what you are filling your cups with- mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. This is a time of potency and we can truly maximize it with intention and action steps. Join me for my workshop, The Essentials for Manifestation and maximize your intentions for 2015! Monday, December 22nd Today's Intention: It takes two to tango. Moon continues after the new Moon + Solstice through Mula nakshatra, with Sun here as well. The cutting and clearing continues until Moon shifts into PurvaAshada at 07:42 am CST, enlivening Apas, the water goddess and Venus. As Moon shifts into Apas's domain, we suddenly have three levels of water happening cosmically within Sagittarius. Both Venus and Mercury are also in PurvaAshada right now as the congestion of planets through Sagittarius continues. There is a dance occurring between Venus (three planets in PurvaAshada) and Jupiter (ruling planet of Sagittarius) right now that is effecting our material and spiritual bodies. Venus represents our asura (demon) energy, which is highly tethered to the earth plane and our manifestation process here. Jupiter on the other hand is knowledge based, connected to Akasha (space) and represents our deva (god) energy. We may be feeling this inner battle playing out within us between good thoughts and bad thoughts. Our wants and desires vs. what we are able to manifest. We may also be experiencing this as a battle of what is "right" and "wrong" going on within us. Some may literally be experiencing battles with demons in more confrontational ways. This is the battle of light and dark, shadow and light, our polarities. We can't get rid of either one, so now is the time to learn how to integrate these very different parts of ourselves. Tuesday, December 23rd Today's Intention: Harness the fire and let it guide you towards your awakening. Moon shifts into UttaraAshada, at 05:40 am CST, enlivening the Vishvadevas, or the "all-gods". The Vishva Devas are essentially the Laws of of Nature personified as devas. This nakshatra helps us enliven our good qualities, and find success through our light. You will likely feel the shift towards hope, possibility and greater support today. Maximize this and get clear on your goals and intentions for the new year. Sign up for my Essentials for Manifestation Workshop and transform your obstacles into clarity. Moon shifts into Capricorn at 11:08 am CST, joining exalted Mars there. Rahu and Jupiter give their drishti as well. The Dance of demon and asura in our emotional body continues. Whenever we have a conjunction of Mars and Moon, we have the opportunity to tap into a surge of our life giving passion. Often we feel this as rage and anger, but what is under this raw anger is raw passion, life force; divine life force from the energetics of MA. Use this power to take a powerful action step today that will move you closer to your dreams, goals and visions. Often we have to first encounter all that is not working, all that is holding us back from our true potential, in order to get to our true desire and need. I encourage you to dive deep, beyond the rage and look for the gift of your passion. What is your greatest need and desire? What are you willing to do in order to get this manifested? Wednesday, December 24th Today's Intention: Make your steps count! Moon travels through the sacred 28th nakshatra, Abhijit, in the early morning hours before it shifts into Sravana nakshatra at 03:29 am CST, joining exalted Mars in this nakshatra as well. The power and intensity of the emotional body is provoked today as Vishnu and the Moon are enlivened. The theme today is taking three steps- one for each, earth, sky and heaven- as Vishnu did. Let his "three steps" be metaphoric for you today. What are you stepping away from? Where are you standing right now? And what are you moving towards? With Moon and Mars in exact conjunction today, it is an ideal time for powerful action steps. What steps are you taking right now to maximize your life, your potential, your possibilities? For those of you who are truly ready to up level your new year, please join me for my Essentials for Manifestation Workshop! My early bird rate ends tonight at midnight!! Thursday, December 25th Today's Intention: Keep your light on. Moon has crossed over Mars now and jumps into Dhanishta nakshatra at 01:19 am CST, enlivening the Vasu Devas. These are the eight shining stars that bring light, prosperity and illumination to us. They help us transform, change and manifest through their light, helping us truly "shed light" on situations and experiences. Moon is still closely conjunct Mars until later in the day, so be mindful of the emotional body heat and charge available today. Tending to your needs, and honoring yourself through moments of self care will go a long way in keeping you cool and calm, and to keep your light shining. Is it time for a three level check-in?! Moon jumps into Aquarius at 12:17 CST, the domain of Saturn and Rahu, but is out of the gaze of any of the planets. Moon moves to Satabisha nakshatra at 23:18 CST. Friday, December 26th Today's Intention: Prioritize your life and put your self first. Moon transits Satabisha nakshatra in Aquarius, which is a nakshatra ruled by Varuna and Rahu. This star brings an energy of punishment and a necessity for following Natural Laws. Varuna has a thousand eyes and he sees everything- all wrongs especially- and doesn't have a problem showing you your fate. It's especially important to mind your health on Satabisha days and mind the laws of Nature as well. For some, today may feel like a big let down after days of celebration. The collapse after the expansion so to speak. Some may feel this in their body and experience the necessity for getting back on a more healthy and nourishing diet. Some may feel this as mental overwhelm as the to-do lists get longer. Others may feel this express itself as emotional depletion; too much of everything. Make today a self care day. One that nourishes the mental, emotional and physical bodies. I encourage you to use an exercise known as "emptying the head" by writing down all that you have to do on a piece of paper. Circle the top three to five priorities for today and get them done. For those who are ready to make 2015 truly count, join me for my three hour Manifestation class this Sunday! I'll be sharing resources, tools and my transformational process with you in order to make this your best year yet! Moon moves to PurvaBhadra nakshatra at 21:32 CST. Venus moves to UttaraAshada nakshatra at 23:02 CST, inviting in the Vishva Devas and breaks up the trifecta of planets in PurvaAshada. As Venus shifts into the domain of the Vishva Devas, an element of Sun increases, as well as our intensified desire for transformation, change and increased greatness. The coming weeks provide us with the ability to move closer to our desires, by following dharma, passion and our dreams. We will have to make changes in order to make this happen, so be sure you are adjusting your actions accordingly. As the saying goes "some people have dreams, and others stay awake to make them happen." Make your actions count right now and get focused on your transformation process. Saturday, December 27th Today's Intention: Keep one foot on the earth and one foot stepping towards heaven and your dreams. Moon transits PurvaBhadra nakshatra, inviting in the blessings of Ajaikapada and Jupiter. Aja is a Rudra (those who have immense strength) but is also considered a form of Shiva and a form of the Sun. It is known that Aja has the ability to cast off evil, and thus this is a nakshatra of purification. Often PurvaBhadra brings challenges, but as a result of these hardships, we are given opportunities to transform and change. The strength and power of the Rudra energy helps the transformation process occur. Today, retrograde Jupiter will be reminding us to re-visit some parts of ourselves on the mental and emotional body levels. If we are paying attention, we can start our transformation process and take steps to find greater balance, awareness and well being. Mars moves to Dhanishta nakshatra today at 13:34 CST and will transit the abode of the Vasu Devas for just under three weeks. The Vasu Devas bring us light, illumination and vision. They offer us prosperity and the ability to manifest on the material plane of existence, thus they are very materialistic in their support. Quite literally, "the world dwells in them and they dwell in the world." The Vasu Devas originated from jyoti (light) and spark the light within Jyotish. The coming weeks will bring increased opportunities for manifesting our desires, inspiring creativity and helping each one of us shine from the inside out. Because Mars is transiting this nakshatra, the light we express and the light we receive will be a direct result of our action steps! Here's to your powerful action steps and to the increasing light! This is an excellent time to create clarity about how you want to move forward in your life. Are you ready to make 2015 your year of transformation and manifestation? Then you're ready for my Essentials for Manifestation Class. This is the last day to register! Moon moves to Pisces at 14:26 CST, joining Ketu here and into Uttarabhadra nakshatra at 20:07 CST. Sunday, December 28th Today's Intention: Unwrapping your gifts requires your willingness to dive into the depths of your being. Moon transits Pisces with Ketu and receives drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. As Moon moves through Uttarabhadra nakshatra, the serpent of the nether realms, Ahirbudhnya, and Saturn are activated. We are given an opportunity to dive deep today. To go deeply into our subconscious terrain and transform our challenges, misfortunes and obstacles. Ahirbudhnya is a Rudra (much strength and power) as well as a Naga- a serpent that is connected to Ketu and our awakening process. With Moon and Ketu conjunct in Pisces right now, opportunities arrive for us to awaken and transform quickly. Be intentional with your obstacles today. How are these challenges really gifts in disguise? What are you willing to do in order to unwrap these gifts? It is a perfect day to be in my Essentials of Manifestation Workshop. We will be doing just this! I will be sharing with you all the resources and tools I use to transform my obstacles into gifts, in order to create your one precious and powerful life! Moon moves into Revati nakshatra at 19:04 CST and Pushan is activated. Nourishment and prosperity increases through this nakshatra as Pushan is a protective force who helps us on our path, our life travels. Moon nears exact conjunction with Ketu and our sensitivity increases. This is a time to be checking in with your emotional body wisdom and resourcing from your increased feelings. Use this time for awakening to your deep needs and get the nourishment you need. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me.

The new Moon is on Sunday, December 21st, Winter Solstice, at 19:36 CST. Moon is in Sagittarius and Mula Nakshatra at this time, joining Sun in this same position. Sun and Moon conjunct Mercury and Venus, who are both in PurvaAshada nakshatra. This is a particularly unsteady new Moon, with a lot of movement, shift and restructuring potential. It is also a particularly dark, inward and demanding empty Moon- which will ask us to dive deeply into our beings, let go and release from a very core level. The release is necessary in order to increase flow and fluidity, change and movement in the coming cycle. In order for deeper nourishment to arrive in the coming weeks and months, we must be willing to deeply release and let go of any parts of ourselves we have been clinging to. This is a time to be re-tracing our steps, enliven our deepest needs, and awaken our innate truths. This new Moon is also intensified by Winter Solstice, the darkest night of the year for the Northern Hemisphere, and is marked by a natural turning inward, towards our depth and darkness. The need for this turning inward, touching the depth of our darkness, is as natural as turning towards the light. Nature reminds us with her cycles and rhythms, the potency, power and necessity of both light and dark, and our dance with both. This is an ideal time to be working very intentionally with our shadows, our own darkness. Please join me for my free online class this Sunday, Resourcing From Your Shadow on December 21st at 6pm CST. The coming waxing Moon cycle will continue to stir our deepest longings, truths and inner wisdom, while digging up some dirt in the process. As we expand our depths and our darkness, we also expand our container and capacity to hold truth and light. The willingness you have to explore your depths and dive deep, will determine the gifts and awakenings you will be able to enliven and hold in the coming cycles. Your efforts are not futile. Working consciously with your shadows is not for nothing. Strengthen your ability to dance with both your light and your dark parts with more awareness and life will expand in all forms. Creative Ritual for the Waxing Moon Cycle
Expanding our container, our capacity to hold and to release, can physically and metaphorically be done through the breath. Jupiter's retrograde motion through Cancer, is allowing us to retrace steps within our heart, work intentionally with our emotional body, our capacity to feel, while also giving us new opportunities to work with healthy boundaries. The open and close dynamic of boundary work (yes and no) is signified by our inhale and exhale. Below is a breath dance, designed to enliven and maximize your breath awareness and your container for sensing and feeling. 1. Breath Dance. Begin standing, lying down or sitting. Bring your awareness to your breath as it moves in and out of your body. Filling and letting go, opening and releasing, like waves moving in and out of the body. Track the movements and sensations in the body and let these guide you. The sensations will guide you into the physical body impulses, the messages of the body. As you continue to breathe and become more and more aware of the movements of the ribcase, let these movements exaggerate. These exaggerated movements are the making of your "breath dance". Continue to move from and with the movements of the ribcase as you breath. Explore, expand and develop your breath dance for at least 10 minutes. Let it evolve and as it does, continue to self track, noticing the body parts most alive and awake as you explore your body part sensations present. As you bring your breath dance to a close, ask yourself these questions: I sense, I feel, I imagine. 2. Create an image of your ribcase. What colors, textures, shapes and images arrive on the page as you draw your ribcase? I encourage you to get your hands involved in this process whether it be through painting directly with your hands, or smudging the craypas with your fingers. Let the hands be sensitized through the process. Get messy. Let the hands and fingers fully engage in this image. (Working with clay may be an alternate medium to work with). Title your image. Take at least 15 minutes for this. 3. Harvesting. When your image is complete, use it to harvest with further inquiry by asking it these questions: Ask your image if it has anything it would like to share with you: If your image could speak, what would it say? I am I want I need What am I opening to? What am I closing to? Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Moon continues to wane this week, leading us into the depths of our silence, winter Solstice, and the new Moon- this Sunday on the 21st. The intensity from last week continues for us as the tricky gandanta between Scorpio and Sagittarius is still active, as well as Mula nakshatra- who brings uprooting, change, transformation and endings to us. The new Moon truly brings deep shifts- in order for a new year to be enlivened. Make this time truly intentional. Be sure you are on my newsletter list and following along with my Self Care Challenge this week, culminating with a special free class that will help you resource from your shadows, your depths.
Monday, December 15th Today's Intention: Turn shadow into light. Moon transits Virgo and moves from Uttaraphalguni into Hasta nakshatra at 06:11 am CST. Moon moves into close proximity with Rahu, also in Hasta right now. Hasta is ruled by Savitr and the Moon and brings awakenings to us through light. Savitr rules the first rays of dawn just as the light peeks above the horizon line; fresh light, the moment of awakening, the clarity and truth that arrives with this light. Step towards your light rays today, the shadows are right behind you, but you can dance with both. Sun, our light source, is perched at the edge of Scorpio, opening the challenging gandanta portal between water (Scorpio) and fire (Sagittarius). He makes the leap official at 20:49 CST, jumping into the fire and Mula nakshatra, nirrti's domain. This puts Sun, Mercury and Venus in the transformational nakshatra of Mula until tomorrow morning. Tonight is an intense one- of upheaval and change. If you are feeling unsteady, like your roots are being pulled up from your grounding source, this is why. Ground with a 3 level check in, and take this awareness into gentle movement. Get embodied through somatic wisdom. Self care is non-negotiable right now. Have you joined my Self Care Challenge? Tuesday, December 16th Today's Intention: Plan your life by sensing and feeling into what nourishes you. Moon is conjunct Rahu in the very early hours of the morning for the Central time zone. The shadows are influencing our emotional body and mental body right now and intensifying both our mind and emotions. This is a powerful time in general to look directly at your shadows and intentionally work with challenges, blockages, and the general intensity being shown to us. Use this time to uproot and transform your darkness and bring it to the light. As Moon shifts into Chitra nakshatra at 08:32 am CST, Moon begins to move away from tight conjunction with Rahu and we begin to feel a shift towards action steps, motivation and empowerment. This might show up as anger, rage and increased passion. Look for the message under the fire. Vishvakarma and Mars are the rulers of Chitra and as his name and planetary association suggests, he is a god of action, creation and also creativity. Increased flow and creativity may flood into us as the water planet Venus moves into PurvaAshada nakshatra at 07:56 am CST. This breaks up the congestion of three planets in Mula nakshatra, Nirrti's domain of uprooting, dishevelment and chaos. Venus's shift into PurvaAshada, invites in resources from Apas, the water goddess, which will help us purify and nourish more deeply at this time, while also inviting in a deepening of our senses and feelings. Let emotions flow, the the internal waters within you flow, and keep your inner tides moving. Use embodiment, dance, and the arts as your primary resources as these are ruled by Venus, and they can offer healing and transformation while keeping our internal waters flowing, during this time of shift and change. Moon moves into Libra at 21:28 CST. Wednesday, December 17th Today's Intention: Harness your inner winds, spread your wings and fly. Moon shifts into Swati nakshatra at 10:13 am CST, inviting in Vayu and Swati's planetary ruler, Rahu, to our day. Vayu is the wind god whose high winds bring movement, change, and strength. As one of the eight Vasudevas, Vayu brings illumination and resources to us. Today, look for your inner strength and use it as a powerful resource and reminder of what you are capable of. Have you joined my Self Care Challenge this week? Make sure you are on my newsletter list in order to receive all the updates. This challenge culminates on the Solstice with a powerful online class: Resourcing From Your Shadows. Please join me! Thursday, December 18th Today's Intention: The support you need is already here. Are you allowing it into your life? Moon continues to transit Libra, but changes into Vishaka nakshatra at 11:09 am CST. The dual god force, Indragni and the planet Jupiter step into our day, enlivening a different kind of transformation and change for us. As this dual god expresses, two is better than one! The power and force of Indra, combines with the transformational abilities of Agni, and voila, a super force is created! This is a reminder to resource with co-creation, joining forces and being able to receive support from others. We are not in this life process alone! Transform, heal and shift the relationship you have with yourself, in order to invite in more nourishment from others. Friday, December 19th Today's Intention: "There is a voice that doesn't use words, listen." - Rumi The Moon continues to wane and enters the 13th tithi today. Emptiness is nearing. Moon shifts into Scorpio at 05:19 CST, exemplifying our approach into the darkness and emptiness of the final new Moon of the year while simultaneously being Winter Solstice. The rawness of our inner depths are here, palpable, and should be beckoning us inward. We must not neglect the darkness for the attraction of the light and we must not neglect our light for the compelling draw of the darkness. Rather, integration, union of seemingly opposing forces within us and around us, is the most worthy effort of all. Being able to dance with shadow and light is paramount. Join me for my free online class this Sunday, Resourcing From Your Shadow. Once Moon moves into Anuradha at 11:17 CST, we shift our attention to pieces of the whole. The merging quality of Vishaka transforms us and Anuradha invites in the finer details available to us once with merge, unify and coexist. Mitra, the ruler here, as well as Saturn, help us with structure, fine detail and putting pieces of the puzzle together; essentially, making meaning out of separateness. We do this with love, devotion and wisdom. Moon in Scorpio joins Saturn here and receives drishti from Jupiter and Ketu as well. Moon is in exact conjunction with Saturn around 15:00 CST. The effects on the Moon today offers us a combination of structure, wisdom and change simultaneously. Emotionally this may appear as depression, frustration or anger. Work with the underlying needs of your emotional body and seek the wisdom it is offering you. Don't bypass what arrives. Ground with a 3 level check in, and take this awareness into gentle movement. Get embodied through somatic wisdom. Self care is non-negotiable right now. Saturday, December 20th Today's Intention: Befriend your mind, trust your emotions, listen to your body, embrace spirit. Moon has passed over Saturn now and begins to separate from tight conjunction, but still transits Scorpio. Moon shifts into Jyeshtha nakshatra at 10:40 am CST, inviting in a full dose of Indra and his power. Jyeshta is ruled by the planet Mercury, expressing that our power is most potently rooted in the mind. Yet being able to harness this power is ultimately the source of our strength and abilities. Learning to harness the mental body, its stories, illusions and intelligence, is so vital for our well being. We can't bypass the gifts of the emotional and physical bodies, nor neglect their potency for our existence, though the mind will pull us out of our truest senses and feelings if it gets the chance! Indra reminds us that harnessing the mind, the mental body, and its faculties, provides us with the ultimate strength we need to overcome all challenges and illusions. Sunday, December 21st Today's Intention: Let go and let flow. Let go and let god. Moon is in the 15th tithi, the final phase of the waning cycle. The Moon is now making the tricky gandanta passage, crossing from Scorpio into Sagittarius. Venus, Mercury and Sun have already made this leap and jumped right into Mula, the domain of Nirrti- goddess of uprooting and all things adharmic, against dharma. Moon's passage into this junction point signals the final shift of this cycle, the final transformational piece we need in order to extract the dark nourishment of this time. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 09:26 am CST, joining Venus, Mercury and Sun there already. This puts three planets in Mula until Mercury shifts into PurvaAshada at 13:30 CST today. As Mercury makes this shift, we should begin to feel another level of nourishment arrive to us. This may come as open floodgates, moving internal waters, the creative flow moving within. The mental body may feel flooded with thoughts, ideas, images, imagination. Capture what you can, but let the rest flow out and through you. Use the coming weeks and days to capture the most potent and alive pieces moving through you, but keep the intention of nourishment, release and cleansing. The new Moon is at 19:36 CST with Moon in Sagittarius and Mula Nakshatra. It is the Winter Solstice, the darkest night of the year, when a natural turning inward, towards our depth and darkness, takes place. Please join me for my free online class this Sunday, Resourcing From Your Shadow. Read more about the coming waxing Moon cycle in my New Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. As we continue to turn inward, and move towards more introspection and inner awakening during the waning Moon cycle, may we each look for the gifts arriving to us. Though this may come through darkness and upheaval, may we trust that this is the necessary process of turning shadow into light. With Jupiter now retrograde, and with our focus shifting from Scorpio into Sagittarius in the coming days, carefully and intentionally use this time to manifest your desires, bringing dreams to the surface for awakening and awareness. This is the time to be clearly identifying what you need and want in your life, what is working, what isn't, and what needs to shift in order for you to be nourished. This cycle brings us bigger changes, a certain cracking open in order to see our missing pieces. For now, gently provoke your dreams and desires. Stoke your inner embers. Trust in the process of removing and letting go, in order for your new life story to fully unfold. Read more about this waning Moon cycle in my Full Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual article. Horoscopes for the Waning Moon Cycle {December 6th to 21st} *Horoscopes are based on your Vedic rising sign. You can also check your Moon and Sun signs for further insight. Do the same with your Navamsa signs for further clarity. Do not use these horoscopes with your “Western Sign” as there is likely no correlation. These horoscopes are meant to be used as a broad overview of the current transits and obviously do not address the specifics of an individual’s unique chart. Aries: The darkness of the past weeks will slowly face the light in this cycle as the stalemate of planets in your 8th house break up and shift into your 9th house. Though there will continue to be moments of you being broken open and feeling your vulnerability, I encourage you to start using the brokenness as a resource for gaining more light. Ask questions, contemplate, and peel back the layers that are keeping you in the dark. Use this time to go more deeply into your pains and suffering in order to find the missing awareness you need for awakening. What are the patterns that continue to haunt you? And what needs to shift within you in order for these needs to be met? As energy moves out of your 7th house and your attention shifts to your 8th house, a portal to the depths of your transformational abilities opens. As Sun shifts into its place of hiding and into your darkest haunts on the 16th, looking beyond the surface is essential. Work with issues around father, soul needs and desires, healing, death, change, self expression and early childhood wounds that may be hindering your ability to receive comfort and nourishment. With Mars exalted in your 9th house, it's a powerful time of seeking wisdom and guidance, while also stepping up your ability to share your own wisdom as well. Resource from your depths. Gemini: Jupiter retrograde in your 2nd house is now provoking you to speak in new ways, to seek nourishment, wealth and resources in different ways as well. He is asking you to retrace your steps, to listen carefully to your wording, and the messages of your emotional body in order to transform and heal. The intense planetary energy that has been concentrated in your 6th house begins to break up as Mercury and Sun shift into your 7th house on the the 13th and 16th. This invites in a deepening inquiry of your relationships and what your needs are within them. Saturn continues to provoke your healing work and digesting very old emotions. You are gaining clarity with intuition, with sensing and feeling as a result. Pay close attention to your digestion, stomach wisdom, gut responses, and the intimate connection between your emotional body and your gut wisdom. The coming months provide you with ample pacing, walking in circles and dancing over old terrain. For now, your intuition and creativity are shifting, as are your passions and romantic and relationship desires. With Mars exalted in your 7th house, relationships are burning hot! Are the flames stoking your passion or burning you? As the shift of attention from your 5th house, now moves to your 6th, you should be orienting yourself towards healing, transforming and overcoming in the coming days and weeks. With effort and intention, as well as willingness, you are embarking on a time of healing- in the mental body, in the physical and soul body, as well as creatively. This will have nourishing effects on your emotional body as well as your overall liberation process. Now is an excellent time to seek support from healers, therapists and guides in order to assist your healing process. Leo: The intense pressure begins to break up in your chest and heart center as Mercury and Sun shift into your 5th house on the 13th and 16th, yet Saturn and his slow, steady and painful pressure continues to work his magic on your heart. The shift of attention to your 5th house will bring awakenings of your intuition and passion, desires for romance and a deeper relationship with your gut wisdom. This will benefit your emotional body work. Exalted Mars in your 6th house is intensifying your desire and compulsion simultaneously to heal and be healed. Use this time effectively to maximize your efforts. Working with digestion, the stomach will serve you. Consciously work with gut functions and metaphors in order to make meaning out of your transformation process. Retrograde Jupiter assists you in this task. The drive to be nourished and satisfied is driving your efforts. Work with the shadows that are keeping you from being well fed in your life and relationships. Virgo: Emotional and mental confusions and chaos around your creativity, artistry, courage and with your action steps begins to shift. Retrograde Jupiter requires you to work with your gains, friendships, relationships, emotions and passions in new ways. Retrace your steps and be willing to look at the same stone, and turn it over, a few more times. Leave no stone unturned. Exalted Mars in your 5th house provokes passion, romance, desire, and strong gut responses. Listen to this wisdom and let your tiger out of its cage. Libra: The intensity of the past weeks with self expression, speaking and using your voice, shifts into a more generalized need for self expression and sharing your creativity. Nourishment and money issues begin to shift as you gain momentum and a stronger desire to take effective action steps. Your intentional and courageous action steps will benefit your career and overall ability to share and shine, though it may feel as though you're retracing steps now that Jupiter is retrograde. Be creative and resourceful, be direct and one pointed, but remember to take action rather than getting lost in preparation mode. It is through your creative action steps that you will ultimately be more nourished on all levels of your life. Let the passions of your heart stir you and your momentum. Though exalted Mars is in your heart center right now likely causing some heart burn, use this pain as a transformational opportunity. Underneath your anger, rage and inner fire, is an intense passion. Direct this intentionally for maximum results. Scorpio: Your head begins to clear and you begin to make space for more than just worry, fear and doubt as Mercury and Sun shift out of your 1st house and into your 2nd house on the 13th and 16th. This provides room for practicality, creative activation, and potent action steps. Let these influence your career. Exalted Mars in your 3rd house of creativity and courage provide the power you need to get the job done swiftly. Art, creativity, and the hands, are resources for you right now to help with your efforts of change and transformation. With more space in your head, you can shift your focus now to changing the way you are nourished- financially, through food, with relationships, your environment and on an emotional level. Retrograde Jupiter in your 9th house will provide ample opportunities over the coming months for you to revisit your hearts desires, what feeds you and deeply satisfies you and your heart. Working directly with the emotional body and its wisdom is the most potent resource for you at this time. If the emotional body tells you it's not working, you must listen. Sagittarius: Retrograde Jupiter in your 8th house is going to provoke emotional responses in you in the coming months, emotions that are old, deep, and perhaps have been neglected, lost or pushed down into your depths. Prepare for deja vu type experiences as you'll be sensing and feeling more deeply from your depths. As the stalemate of four planets shifts out of your 12th house of loss and endings, alone time and retreats, there is an invitation to start fresh, awaken, and open to new possibilities. You may feel this most within your relationships, your career, with friends and with wisdom and teaching desires. Expect some bumps in the transformational process before you arrive at clarity however. Exalted Mars in your 2nd house is giving you an insatiable appetite for nourishment. Don't overdo it. The tendency right now is to try to nourish yourself, but making choices out of old habit, default modes of operation, and overcompensation. Be careful and selective in your choices, and address the underlying issues of malnourishment. Capricorn: With Mars exalted in your first house, your head is hot and fully charged. Your heart is passionate and you're fanning the flames. Your relationships are provoking your needs for nourishment, support and safety. Your ego is provoking your shadows and haunts, your dance with dark and light. With the stalemate of planets shifting out of your 11th house, your attentions changes from transforming, gains and acquiring, into releasing, letting go and finding more sacred alone time for rest and relaxation. This is a valuable use of your time and efforts, but knowing you, even the vacation will become an opportunity to work. It's true, retreats and ashram settings are a career opportunity for you in the coming weeks and may provoke some business ideas. I challenge you though to sneak in as much meditation, time in bed, relaxation and rest into your life over the coming week as you can. You'll be glad you gave yourself some TLC now, before Capricorn Season hits! Aquarius: There's an intensified orientation towards self care right now that is asking you to attend to your strong need for letting go, releasing and being alone. Relationships are invoking a passionate, strong response from you, one that may be fueled by anger and rage. These emotions require you to look beneath the surface. Ask yourself what your deepest passions are that are being stifled? It is a wise idea to make self care a top priority, as well as retreat time, alone time, or perhaps traveling abroad. Your career is making some shifts right now that may provoke gains and losses simultaneously. Now that Jupiter is retrograde in your 6th house, it's time to revisit clean up efforts in your gut. Your efforts will be assisted through identifying what old, unprocessed emotions need to be more fully digested in order for you to feel more nourished and satisfied in your life. Explore the connection between heart and gut. This will have a direct impact on your career satisfaction as well. Pisces: The shift of intense energy out of your 9th house, and into your 10th house brings gains and a surge of purpose into your career and dharmic pursuits. Relationships continue to provide ample resources for awakening and addressing your shadows. Who and what you are inviting into your life should be a source of study and curiosity in order for you to work with your own dark matter. Emotional body and mental body become tools for this process if used to assess parts of your self that you fear to look at. All of this material is a resource for your healing work with others. Ultimately healing yourself provides a shift in your career, who you work with and why. Now is a time to receive gains, but continue to address concerns around deep nourishment, and the depths of your needs and desires. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. The big news this week is Jupiter begins its retrograde motion until April. We also have Mercury moving into Sagittarius, and Sun right behind him early next week. The stalemate of planets in Scorpio begins to break up, but our focus shifts now to Sagittarius, Jupiter's sign. Moon is waning now. Since we are working with the shift from water (Scorpio) into fire (Sagittarius) this week, diligence with our emotional body work is the name of the game right now! Monday, December 8th Today's Intention: Step out of your comfort zone and be nourished. Moon transits one of Rahu's nakshatras, Ardra, ruled by the powerful force, Rudra. This is a sharp star, one that has a cutting nature and can help us make executive decisions. With Rahu and Rudra behind it, there can be intense shadow involved. Worldly affairs are well suited to this nakshatra, but intense emotional upheaval is also its domain. Moon receives direct gaze from the creative (yet currently disheveled) Venus. With three planets still in Scorpio (the Moon's sign of debilitation) and Venus (water) now in the calamity provoking nakshatra Mula, this is a time to be working directly with our emotional body. Let the flood gates open and tears move out and through you. There may be ample energy used today on confronting parts of ourselves and others that are very challenging to us. Understand that the release and change will be next. Jupiter goes into retrograde motion at 14:11 CST for the next five months. He will be retrograde until April 4th, which brings us a time period of returning, and many reminders of Jupiter's offerings from the past months of his exalted passage through Cancer. His gifts will return, his wisdom, his blatant suggestions of heart nourishment, emotional well-being, and healthy boundary work- but in new, perhaps more intense ways. As with any retrograde planet, he will be acting like the nodes (Rahu and Ketu) and thus will be more dramatic in his nature. Additionally, any exalted planet that goes retrograde becomes debilitated (uccha banga). For many of us, this will be a strong identification phase in order to help us fully change and grow into new awareness and awakening. There may be issues, concerns and situations that occur with heart matters, emotional body, mother, land and vehicles in the coming months as we clean up these parts of our life. Read more about Jupiter's transit through Cancer. Moon shifts into Punarvasu nakshatra at 14:14 CST and a change is ushered in with Aditi and her cosmic resources, as well as a return of the light through the wisdom she provides. Tuesday, December 9th Today's Intention: Open your heart wisdom and let it flow like a river of nourishment. Moon continues to transit Punarvasu and moves into Cancer at 09:39 am CST, joining retrograde Jupiter there. He is now in a debilitation phase (uccha banga) and the Moon will enliven this for us today. We may notice themes coming up today that will illuminate the themes of the next few months, so pay attention and take notes. Moon receives direct gaze from an exalted Mars and Ketu now and this creates a divine intervention from MA, if not anger and rage on the surface. Underneath this is of course divine passion, so see if you can harness these flames and put them to good use without letting them burn you or others in the process. Moon shifts into Pushya nakshatra at 16:06 CST and a stronger sense of nourishment has the opportunity to arrive for us. However, we may experience a pinch first, before the milk begins to flow. Knowledge often comes with a price; the price of awakening. Exalted Mars shifts into Sravana nakshatra at 23:18 CST which is ruled by Vishnu and his expansiveness, and the Moon's tender, creativity. Mars transits through the sacred and spiritually oriented 28th nakshatra, Abhijit, which is positioned in between Uttarashada and Sravana. We will be feeling this resonance leading up to and following Mars's shift into Sravana as a result. Use this time for goal setting, getting your intentions very clear, organized and ask the divine to support you in your endeavors. The coming weeks will offer new levels of productivity, resources and dharmic pursuits for those ready to take our work to the next level. We must be willing and able to hear the messages coming to us in order to receive the support though. Make sure you take ample time to pause, deeply listen and be with your inner wisdom, in order to hear the divine whispering in your ear. Stay open minded to all possibilities at this time. Wednesday, December 10th Today's Intention: When one door closes, another one opens. Moon continues through Pushya nakshatra the majority of the day, enlivening Brihaspati (Jupiter deified) and the planet Saturn. Pushya is the nourishing star, but he does it through balance. Balance requires an evening out of what is lop sided and ultimately not serving us. Thus there is often a pinch when it occurs. Pushya brings us that balance, and the pinch, but is ultimately connected to our deep nourishment. Today is a reminder to trust the balance of life to serve us deeply and to offer us the medicine we need for long term, sustainable nourishment. Today, make embodiment and resourcing the wisdom of the body, a high priority. Moon shifts into Ashlesha nakshatra at 18:28 CST, joining a now retrograde Jupiter in this nakshatra as well. Ashlesha is ruled by Sarpa and the planet Mercury. Sarpa represents our serpent energy, rooted in our mental body essentially, and yet great healing and transformation is possible when we work directly with our mind, in order to overcome its snakey nature. Mercury is currently still transiting Scorpio, which means working with our depths is a priority right now. Thursday, December 11th Today's Intention: Shine your light into your dark corners and look for cobwebs. Moon continues to transit Ashlesha nakshatra the majority of the day and conjuncts retrograde Jupiter as well, which will have a magnifying effect on our mental and emotional bodies. With Jupiter retrograde now (and debilitated), we are being invited deep into our hearts (and mind while Jupiter is still in Ashlesha nakshatra). Use this time for healing, purifying and pulling up mental and emotional weeds. It's important to work with embodiment resources as well, and to stay grounded in the physical body as much as possible. Are you checking in with your three levels of awareness regularly? As Moon jumps into Leo and Magha nakshatra 21:16 CST, we will feel a sudden shift, impacted by Pitr and our ancestors. Moon now receives drishti from exalted Mars and Saturn. Magha is ruled by Ketu, so expect the change to come quickly- through flashes of insight, awareness or through sudden situational changes. There is some old karma working on us right now, so be aware of the work that needs to be done to address old haunts and new awakenings. With drishti of Mars and Saturn on the Moon, we get added heat and pressure on our emotional body which may make for discomfort and a sense of contraction. Pay special attention to your emotional body messages and look for the needs that are under them. Friday, December 12th Today's Intention: From their place in the light, the ancestors are urging you forward. Moon continues to transit through Magha nakshatra today. Yesterday's message of the ancestors pertains to our day. Pitr, and the ancestors are enlivened as we work with ancient karmas. Old pieces, dark matter, and shadow work is a big theme right now. Today we may feel the roots of these dark parts of ourselves very connected to our family paradigm and begin to see them more clearly. Be aware of themes that present themselves and take notes. Mercury is now sandhi, moving to the edge of Scorpio and preparing to shift into Sagittarius. This is an uncomfortable leap from a water sign into a fire sign and the mental body will likely be feeling this "out of the water, into the fire" scenario. A sharpening tenacity is coming, but for now we are still languishing in murky waters. Saturday, December 13th Today's Intention: What is the deepest form of nourishment that you desire? Go there. Moon moves into Purvaphalguni nakshatra just after midnight, enlivening Bhaga and Venus and inviting in fertility, wealth and happiness. However, with the ruling planet Venus, currently in Mula nakshatra, we will likely be feeling our lack, rather than our abundance. Keep this in mind as well as the movement of Mercury into Sagittarius, as he will be sandhi, in the gap through Sunday. Be very diligent with your physical, emotional and mental body check-ins right now in order to strengthen your attention and intention on your needs. Self care is non-negotiable. Moon is being touched by both Mars and Saturn as it transits Leo which adds heat and pressure, as well as a heightened emotional frustration to our experience. I will be starting my self-care challenge tomorrow to offer reminders. Make sure you're on my newsletter list. Mercury jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 03:26 am CST, moving through the very tricky gandanta junction of Scorpio (water) into Sagittarius (fire). The added intensity of this transit is that all planets that move through this gandanta shift from Jyeshtha nakshatra (Indra's domain), into Mula nakshatra (Nirrti's domain). Indra is connected to dharma, strength and the refining of the senses. Nirrti is a disheveled goddess, who brings chaos, calamity and misfortune. She moves us away from dharma through fear, danger and death as well as going against the Laws of Nature. Her husband is Adharma, the god that takes us away from dharma. Mula can be a very spiritual nakshatra- one that pulls up the necessary weeds on our path, in order for us to ultimately see more clearly. This does not come with ease and grace however. Venus has already made this challenging leap, and continues to transit Mula until December 16th. Mercury will be in Mula until the 21st. Sun makes the challenging leap from Scorpio to Sagittarius on the 15th and stays in Mula until the 28th. The intensity of all this change and transformation will climax with the new Moon on winter Solstice, the 21st. This new Moon will occur in Mula nakshatra, heightening the emptiness, the release and the transformation of this time. A massively transformational way to end 2014. As we continue to feel the chain reaction of planets filing into Sagittarius, passing through this challenging gandanta, remind yourself that this is a time of deep uprooting, forced change, crazy making, and chaos. The end result will provide a very different landscape for each of us, but for now, we must continue to till our soil. Through the end of December, be conscious of the many changes occurring within you and around you. Make purposeful intentions for your coming year and ground into the knowing that this too shall pass, and another cycle of growth and renewal will arrive with greater balance. Sunday, December 14th Today's Intention: Pick your fruits, but pick them wisely. Moon moves to Uttaraphalguni at 03:21 am CST, inviting in Aryaman and the Sun into our day. The ancestors are invited into our awareness, as well as nourishment that makes harmony last- especially in our relationships. Dive deep today and seek the pieces you need for contentment, fruitful and nourishing endeavors, as well as what will strengthen the relationship with your self and others. Make self care a priority right now and continue to be alert to what is nourishing you and what is not. This is a time of radical release, so let go of what is not aligned with your deepest needs. As Moon shifts into Virgo at 10:06 am CST, he joins Rahu there and receives gaze from Ketu. Work with your shadows intentionally today. Our emotional body intelligence is moving straight into the shadows for the coming days so be willing to dance with your darkness in more conscious ways at this time. Look for the gifts. I am starting my self-care challenge tomorrow to offer reminders. Make sure you're on my newsletter list. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me.
