Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
03.31.13 Moon transiting Scorpio, its debilitation sign, while in Anuradha nakshatra. Ruled by Mitra, an Aditya, a form of the Sun, that relates to friendship- hence the nickname here of "the friendly star". The counterpart to Mitra is Varuna (ruler of Satabisha nakshatra). Mitra rules over the day, Varuna the night. Ask for their blessings together and you get their graces 24 hrs a day. Mitra people are always changing and renewing themselves like a new day. Today, rest will bring renewal. Use the day for quieting the storms, being with friends and family, taking time for the Self. Create alliances with your self and others in new ways that might offer benefits. Celebrate your successes. Sun, Mars and Venus are all in Revati nakshatra now in Pisces. The blessings of Pushan are ushering us along the Path, giving us nourishment and support as these planets finish their cycle through the zodiac and move towards Aries. He reminds us to call back the pieces that have been missing in order for us to feel whole and purposeful. He taps us when we stray and puts us back in line. He is simple and is represented in Revati by a drum that keeps time. Feel the pulse, its rhythm, guiding you step by step in this life. One beat at a time. One heart beat. One breath. One step. One leap. All of these time keepers bring you back to your center- your One True Path. *Sign up for horoscopes and updates here: www.swatijrjyotish.com

Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
03.29.13 Moon in Libra transiting Swati nakshatra ruled by Vayu, the wind god. Vayu brings movement, change and illumination. Vayu has extreme strength and power and uses this dynamism to bring change. Swati is ruled by Rahu and today as Moon passes through Libra with Rahu and Saturn there (Rudra/storm energy) can bring intensity. Be aware of the storms, emotionally and physically. Movement is good today as well as being in touch with emotions and prana. Be fluid. For a more in depth look at Vayu read my article on Saturn and Rahu in Libra: Part 1: http://www.swatijrjyotish.com/1/post/2013/02/february-26th-2013.html Part 2: http://www.swatijrjyotish.com/1/post/2013/03/rahu-and-saturn-in-libra-saturn-goes-retrograde-the-nakshatras-influence.html This week's horoscopes via ElephantJournal.com:

3.27.13 Today is Holi (see yesterday's post) and though the full moon culminated around 4:30 am this morning and is now waning (dark half), it is still large and bright with plenty of power. Moon in Virgo transiting Hasta nakshatra, ruled by Savitr. Savitr is the Sun just before it rises at dawn. He gives one's lagna (birth sign) and represents one's intelligence, ideals and awareness. He is the awakener, the dawning, a giver of light and life. There is deep insight with this nakshatra and even magic. Hasta is symbolized by a hand, which connects it to palmistry and proficiencies and talents that utilize the hands. People born with Hasta's influence are interested in expansion of consciousness and techniques that delve deeply into the mysteries of life. Hasta is ruled by the moon, the moon is virtually full still and receives aspects by 3 of the nine planets including an influence of Saturn and Mercury. Tend to your heart and mind today. Celebrations may turn inward because of these influences. Work with your hands today. Create art and let the mysteries of the universe come through your hands. In the words of the famous dancer, and grandmother of Body-centered Expressive Art Therapy, Anna Halprin: "Enter the body through the hand." Today, let your dance begin from the fingers and hands and let that movement ripple into the rest of your body. Awaken the magic within. *Sign up for my newsletters here: http://www.swatijrjyotish.com/contact.html Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
03.26.13 Moon in Virgo transiting UttaraPhalguni, ruled by Aryaman. Aryaman is one of the twelve Adityas, is a companion of the Sun, and rules over the ancestors. He gives sustenance, health and strength to the body. This is the second half of the Phalguni constellation- Purva is the other. Uttara means northern or higher vibration. Where as Purva has to do with relationships and the attraction and affection that comes with them, Uttara has more to do with those things that sustain a union and binds a contract for long term gain. In the Vedic sense, marriage and children are ways to repay the ancestors and sustain dharma. Uttara is in it for the long term, Purva is less concerned with sustainability. The Phalguni stars are literally about "making your bed and then laying in it." All metaphors apply. The month of Phalguni in the Vedic calendar is in the spring, during the time of fertility. It is the best time for marriage- even the gods get married at this time. The Indian festival of Holi is celebrated at this time which has a connection to both Agni and lord Krishna: A nod to the marriage contract- a rite of karmic purification and love. Holi culminates on the full moon tomorrow (Wednesday). Today is a good day for sealing contracts that you want to last. Plant seeds today (bija) and put your desires in the ground. Pursue dharmic works. Commit to your Self on a new level and take a step towards your goals. |
