Moon Mind
6.29.13 Moon is in Uttarabhadrapada and Pisces, ruled by Saturn and Ahirbudhyna and symbolized by the back legs of funeral cot. Endings, transformations, working in the unseen realms, mantras, serpent energy such as kundalini, awakenings, awareness and consciousness development are heightened here. Ahirbudhnya is a Rudra, a storm deity, who removes calamities and misfortunes. Therefor he brings movement, change, power, activation. Other planetary expressions included, today is a day that activates change, movement and momentum. What direction are you heading in? What forces are working with you, around you and in you? Resisting the winds of change is not a good use of energy. Surrender to the flow, release your sail, and catch a tail wind. Currently Moon is waning (dark half) in the 8th tithi Ashtami ruled by Rahu. Jupiter moves into Ardra nakshatra today- ruled by Rahu. Jupiter gives drishti to Rahu/Saturn in Libra as Rahu simultaneously give drishti to Jupiter in Gemini. Rahu currently transits Vishaka nakshatra ruled by Jupiter. There is an exchange of energy here between Rahu and Jupiter as well as a heightened expression of Rahu- jumpstarted by today's nakshatras. For some, this will offer big expansion in a worldly sense, for others chaos and calamity. Be aware of storm energy and a tendency toward overwhelm. Tomorrow Rahu will move to Swati nakshatra, ruled by Rahu. Today starts the momentum that will carry us forward for the coming weeks and months on the winds of Vayu and the worldly essence of Rahu. Prepare for change.

Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
Sunday, 6.23 Moon is now in Sagittarius, transiting Mula nakshatra. Mula is ruled by the disheveled Nirrti and the planet Ketu. She is the wife of adharma and brings breakings, separations, uprootings, uprisings, and goes against the natural order of things. This dark goddess brings strife, turmoil, calamities, but is good for "getting to the root of things" which can be useful when working with disease, illness, investigations and research. You may have felt the currents of Mula alive last night and pervade over your full Moon experience. What came to light for you? What surfaced that had been buried under the muck and mire? What issues surfaced for you? The lunar tides are extra powerful right now. These waves will continue today and tomorrow as Moon moves into Purvashada today at 14:42 CDT. Purvashada is ruled by Apas and the planet Venus. Apas is the water goddess while Venus is life giving water. Look for Apas to bring some cleansing, soothing energy with her currents. This may come in the form of emotions and tears but the intention will be for purification and rejuvenation. Water needs to move and flow, make sure this is a part of your ritual today. The Upanishads say that Apas came from fire. When humans get hot, they perspire. This is symbolic of "moving the inner waters" the emotional tides. Move, dance, sweat. *I am currently traveling. Thus my updates will be sporadic for now. Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
Wednesday, 6.19 Moon in Libra transiting Swati nakshatra and has just crossed Saturn. Saturn is also in Swati. Vayu, the wind god, rules Swati and brings movement, change, and detachment with emotions. Being connected to prana today is essential (the internal winds) and being somatically aware through physical movement. This week's jyotish horoscopes via www.elephantjournal.com.

Tuesday, 6.18 Moon moves from Virgo to Libra at 15:20 CDT and is in Chitra nakshatra currently. Chitra is ruled by Vishvakarma- the celestial architect and he can help us build, plan and create. Dreams become reality with proper plans and action steps. Tuesday is day of Mars and Chitra is also ruled by Mars. Mars is currently in Rohini nakshatra (Moon) and in Taurus (Venus). Watch anger and outbursts towards women and from women. Look for the connections to divine mother, Ma, the eternal life giver. Use momentum and force, courage and strength to create and get work done. Be bold in your creative actions. Make goals, take action steps for positive outcomes. Paint with red and orange. This is the day of Ganga- Ganga Dashahara {or Ganga Dussehra}. This is the first of ten days when mother Ganga descends to the earth. Embodied by the sacred river Ganga, she is said to wash away all sins with her cleansing waters. Note the planetary transits for the week via Horoscopes. Moon debilitated, Venus moving to the water sign Cancer, Sun into Ardra nakshatra- the internal waters will inevitably be moving. Be sure to use water as a way to clear and clean your energy at this time. Move with your internal tides, rather than forcing against them. Surrender to the flow. |
