Who is She? She is wild, untamed and unpredictable. She is your divine, feminine wisdom. Your emotional body. Your intuitive guidance and creative intelligence. She is your inner Moon. She rules receptivity and She will determine your feelings of nourishment in life. Know Her and know your divinity. Understand Her wisdom and become the magic of life! But how do you know if you're in right-relationship with Her? With your Divine Feminine Self? The truth is, most humans are in some state of conflict with various parts of themselves, especially their inner feminine wisdom. Here are some signs you might be in conflict with Her: - Confusion about choices, answers or solutions. - In a state of chaos or overwhelm. - Over stimulation or over activity causing heightened stress in the four bodies. - Excess emotion, extreme emotional sensitivity. - Living in black and white with no space for the unknown. - Taking in too much, overly receptive- resulting in depletion of one or more of your bodies. - Challenges and obstacles with all things Venus and Moon (Money, food, comforts, relationships, creativity, flow, emotions, health, vitality, female organs). - Lack of ideas, creative activation, not feeling excited or passionate about life. - Little to no intuitive awareness or wisdom. - Problems with your mother, female figures or female relationships. - Resistance to pleasure, joy, abundance, flow, creative intelligence. If you answered yes to one or more of these signs, you are likely in conflict with your inner feminine wisdom- on some level of your being. Often these vows are taken at a very young age. Later on in life, the suppression of your divine feminine wisdom will result in systemic issues on some level of your being. This is not unusual since the Western-centric culture is predominantly rooted in the masculine energy of product instead of process, external focus rather than internal focus. The feminine is more responsive, receptive and therefore in tune with process, flow and surrender. In truth, we need balance between both the masculine and feminine energy within, but so often there is a conflict keeping us from experiencing this inner harmony. When the issues with your feminine wisdom come to the surface of your awareness, when they become conscious, they can be identified and confronted. This usually arrives as some challenge, obstacle or conflict within you- or with another person. Are you experiencing an inner conflict? Part of you desires surrender, but the rest of you is terrified of letting go. You tell yourself you should slow down and listen, but you keep pushing past the signals anyway. Maybe you don't hear the signals at all. Often there's a terror about "losing control" or being in the unknown, the grey territory of life. You are afraid of vulnerability and see the receptive, the feminine, as weak. Resistance to change or receiving support. This conflict with your feminine wisdom is keeping you from feeling deeper nourishment and harmony within you and your life. The truth is, it's a very old story. If you're ready to re-write this story, reclaim your divine feminine wisdom, follow along with me in the coming days. Swati* Goddess Integration Tapping Meditation To support your inner growth and integration process, I've created a tapping meditation for you. This particular process will support the current transits as well as the harmonizing of masculine and feminine energies within you. Use it as a resource for stepping into your healing and transformation process. In the podcast below, I share a tapping (EFT) sequence with you that will guide you through transforming and releasing the old stories and invite in more receptivity. Remember, we start with identifying the challenges, then moving into possibility and desires in order to transform our shadow into light. Use this podcast as you tap through these points: Karate chop point (side of the hand). Crown of the head. Eyebrow point (above the eye). Side of the eye. Under the eye. Under the nose. Chin point (crease of the chin). Throat point (collar bone/throat chakra). Heart point (center of chest). Stomach point (above the navel). Side body (nipple line at side of chest). Tap six to ten times on each point and just keep cycling through the points. Repeat the phrases I use aloud. Notice any thoughts, stories, memories or emotions that emerge as you tap. These are important pieces to return to, do more tapping on, as a way to clear blockages. As always, if the words I use don't work for you, change them to support your process more fully. Share your experiences below! What emerged for you in this process? Excited to hear from you! * One of my favorite things to do is hike in the woods. Often I tap and walk. This is a recording I made on one such hike. It was windy and snowy, so you'll here the elements along the way! This Week's Intention: Stay grounded in your physical body wisdom. Continue to release and let go of stories and personal mythology that keep you stuck, unmotivated. Move into the receptive, your feminine center. Let Her emotional body wisdom support your truth. Moon is waning, yet still energized at the beginning of the week as it moves through the first half of the cycle. Fertility and creative energy continue to inspire the feelings emerging at this time. With Saturn now in retrograde motion, structure and stability are more important than ever. What steps can you take to increase your relationship with your root chakra needs? Monday, March 28th Moon in 6th tithi Moon continues to transit its debilitation sign, Scorpio, while moving through Anuradha nakshatra. Anuradha inspires growth from one's depths, rising from the mud and blossoming into wisdom and beauty- as is symbolized by the lotus flower. This constellation can bring precision and exactness, as well as inspiration and growth. Let your inner compassion help you soften and release wherever you're gripping too tightly. Ask for support for this release. Tuesday, March 29th Moon in 7th tithi Moon continues to be sandwiched in between retrograde Saturn and Mars- both malefic planets that can cause the tender and sensitive Moon to feel both heat and pressure. This is the making of your inner diamond! Use the challenges for inner transformation. Remember, you are learning how to adjust and make necessary changes. This allows you to open new pathways, new possibilities. As the silence of spring arrives, a certain dynamic energy is awakening. The eclipse portal is sealing. The full Moon and lunar eclipse are behind us. The Holi festivities are winding down. The soil has been cleared. The seeds have been planted. Make your process intentional. Bring awareness to your growth. Own and honor this fresh start! Saturn Retrograde Saturn goes retrograde in Scorpio at 02:50 am PDT and will be moving in reverse until August 13th, 2016. Retrograde planets act like the nodes Rahu and Ketu, which adds to the intensity of how a planet will express themselves. As the slowest moving planet, Saturn causes the most prolonged challenges. It's important to play by his rules and honor his requests for slow, steady action, simplicity and alignment with nature's rhythms. His transit through Scorpio is digging up very old grief, emotions and challenges- connected to subconscious and unconscious territory. Read more about Saturn in Scorpio. Venus in Pisces Increasing the theme of fertility and abundance during this "gap" time, Venus moves to its exaltation sign, Pisces on March 31st at 14:35 PDT, where she joins Sun and debilitated Mercury here. Challenges will arise with Venus's enemy, the Sun, and the debilitation of Venus's friend, Mercury. Venus is water, whereas the Sun is fire. When they conjunct, steam is created. Mercury symbolizes the mental body- meaning the mind will be feeling this steam. Physical and spiritual bodies (Sun) and your creative life force energy (Venus) will also be effected by the clouds. How do you work with the energy of steam? Do you use it to power your engine, or do you get lost in its mist and fog? Mercury in Aries Saturday, April 2nd at 15:02, Mercury crosses the tricky gap between endings/release (Pisces) and beginning/potential (Aries). The movement from debilitation in a water sign, to a fiery and aggressive sign, will cause the mind to feel fragile and agitated. A release process is being instigated. Notice where necessary clean-up and final release for this round must take place. Honor this process of endings and beginnings. *Horoscopes are based on your Vedic (sidereal) rising sign. You can also check your Moon and Sun signs for further insight. Do the same with your Navamsa signs for further clarity. Do not use these horoscopes with your Western sign (Tropical) as there is likely no correlation. These horoscopes are meant to be used as a broad overview of the current transits and obviously do not address the specifics of an individual’s unique chart. Aries: Keep digging up your depths and looking at your inner conflicts. The parts of you that say yes, but really mean no. The parts of you that say no, but really mean yes. The desire to strengthen your power, your inner knowing, is driving this self inquiry. Taurus: As the doors of your heart swing open, notice the physical response within you. What happens next? Do you continue to open or do these doors within close swiftly, without hesitation? I invite you to linger. Find that moment. When the door is neither open, nor closed. Gemini: Your sign represents powerful creative energy co-creating- resulting in a third, dynamic energy being created. Or the "emergent third" as it is often referred to in the art therapy realms. This emergent third, or "the third", is delicate, vulnerable and thus extremely powerful. Cancer: In your quest for deeper nourishment, you must be honest about your resistance to receiving. What is it about deep nourishment that causes you such pain? Lean into your discomfort, as this is vital for increasing your threshold of expansion. Expand your container, your holding, of both light and dark, pain and joy. Leo: This old story of your power is beginning to crumble. Partly because it's becoming less interesting to you. Partly because you're learning a new way. But first you have to allow the total demolition of the old structure, the old way of being. How you are, who you are- in relationship with Self, with others? Virgo: You are learning how to relate to yourself in new, more intimate ways. From here, you can show up more fully for others. It takes courage to awaken to your failings, your actions and choices, that have not nourished or supported you. Lean into these "failures" as there is great wisdom here. Libra: Pick up the pieces you dropped long ago. The parts of your being that allow you to connect, contain, strengthen, commit. The parts you abandoned for lightness, ease and fluidity. It's time to find balance and integration now, to find that moment when you are awake to both- structure and flow. Scorpio: This battle you have been identifying within is the key to unlock so many layers of resistance. Resistance to nourishment, support, to gather more of what you want and need. This old, epic battle- the one between life and death, pain and joy. As you crack your heart open wider, this conflict can release. Sagittarius: You are becoming more attentive to your inner silence- either by force or your own desire. This silence is a gift, a place to soften and surrender to your true needs, your heart's longings. It takes courage to show up here fully. Honor your bravery. The love begins to flow more fluidly in the coming days. Capricorn: You are learning what it feels like to cut away the unnecessary. The harsh, the brutal. Deepening your ability to feel true comfort and support. The kind that comes from your inner being. When you aren't wasting your energy on force and physical struggle, you can arrive into the receptive more fully. Aquarius: It is a fragile time for you. And in this fragility is great strength. Ripen with this potential, possibility, the unknown and uncertainty. Gather the most important pieces and arrange them carefully with intention. The truth is, these pieces, are the foundation you need to create a more solid ground. Pisces: The pieces of you that are still in hiding are beginning to see the light. All the ways you've kept yourself from feeling love, connection, support. They are emerging. Some of this is showing up through pain, challenge, conflict, separateness, some of this through experiencing joy and pleasure. This Week's Intention: Notice the inner swells and find your grounding, your connection to Nature and her wisdom, as well as your connection to spirit. Surrender to the immense fertility being awakened in the environment- enlivened through potential and possibility. Allow the emotional body to move, change, transform and heal you. The week ahead brings a full Moon in Virgo with a penumbral lunar eclipse. The Vernal equinox has opened the door to spring in the northern hemisphere and the Holi celebrations spark the creative life force energy- inner and outer. Mercury is now debilitated in Pisces and Saturn will go retrograde this week as well. Be gentle with your emotions, mind and body. Monday, March 21st Moon in 14th tithi Just as Monday begins, Moon shifts to Purvaphalguni nakshatra, increasing creativity and life force energy. As the Moon moves through Leo, it is conjunct retrograde Jupiter and Rahu. All three planets receive drishti (gaze) from Venus, Ketu and Saturn. The emotional body is being asked to respond to complex energies. Find ways to ground into the body and spirit in order to awaken from repressed or contracted emotions. Emotional body tides are high now as Moon enters the 14th tithi (phase), nearing complete fullness. Allow your feelings to move through you and attend to your emotional body wisdom with care. Tuesday, March 22nd Moon in 15th tithi As Tuesday begins, the Moon moves to the final phase of the waxing cycle, Purnima- the 15th tithi. Just as the emotional body moves into fullness, it changes into the latter half of the Phalguni constellation, Uttaraphalguni. Aryaman rules this domain and provides creativity, fertility and sustainability for connection, creation and relationship. He's especially associated with the ancestors and sustaining one's lineage through marriage, children and dharma. The Phalguni stars are particularly potent and creative. It is said that even the gods get married during the time of Phalguni- which honor spring, awakening and fertility and celebrations like marriage. Wednesday, March 23rd Moon in 15th and 1st tithi The full Moon is March 23rd at 05:00 PDT while Moon is in Virgo and Uttaraphalguni. This full Moon coincides with a penumbral lunar eclipse, closing the two week eclipse portal that has been invoking challenging shadow work for many. The eclipse begins at 02:39 PDT, with the maximum eclipse being at 04:47 PDT, and ending at 06:54 PDT. This full Moon marks the closing of the eclipse portal (the two week period between solar and lunar eclipses). It is now a better time to begin new projects, make decisions or start anything important. Read more about the full Moon + Eclipse in the March Moon Wisdom post. Thursday, March 24th Moon in 2nd tithi The Moon continues through Hasta until late morning. Let Savitr support your awakening and increased light as you begin your day. Recite the Gayatri Mantra for gaining his guidance. As Moon shifts into Chitra, Vishvakarma arrives with an action-oriented agenda. His creativity and the action he puts behind it, can support great strides. He is considered "the divine architect" who created the zodiac. Friday, March 25th Moon in 3rd tithi Saturn goes retrograde in Scorpio at 02:50 am PDT and will be moving in reverse until August 13th, 2016. Retrograde planets act like the nodes Rahu and Ketu, which adds to the intensity of the planet and how they will express themselves. As the slowest moving planet, Saturn causes the most prolonged challenges. It's important to play by his rules and honor his requests for slow, steady action, simplicity and alignment with nature's rhythms. Saturday, March 26th Moon in 4th tithi Moon continues through Libra and Swati nakshatra the majority of the day. Mind your breath, your life force energy, and notice if you are using it intelligently or squandering it. Be in right relationship with your inner life and let this spark increased energy and enthusiasm for living. Seek balance between inner and outer, polarities and conflicts. What parts of your being need resolution and more harmony? Let the breath help you find this union. Sunday, March 27th Moon in 5th tithi Vishaka continues to rule the day, provoking unification and increased harmony within. Challenges are a reminder to make adjustments. Ask for support, call in new resources, gather your team of guidance. Where are you resisting the support you need? Where are your actions out of alignment with your inner knowing? Reach out, connect and receive. You can not thrive without increased support. The Thing Is The thing is.. to love life, to love it even when you have no stomach for it and everything you've held dear crumbles like burnt paper in your hand, your throat filled with the silt of it. When grief sits with you, its tropical heat thickening the air, heavy as water more fit for gills than lungs; when grief weights you like your own flesh only more of it, an obesity of grief, you think, How can a body withstand this? Then you hold life like a face between your palms, a plain face, no charming smile, no violet eyes, and you say, yes, I will take you I will love you again. ~ Ellen Bass Renewal, awakenings and beginnings arrive with the Vernal equinox on March 19th at 21:00 PDT. The length of light and darkness is almost equal on this day, which marks a turning point. For the northern hemisphere, days will be getting lighter (longer) as we move into spring and summer. This is the beginning of more light, more life. Shakti is stirring, inviting in more creativity in the coming days and months. This sense of opening moves us towards completion as the eclipse portal closes. Fertility and creativity are enlivened with this full Moon, as it coincides with the Vedic Holi festival, also known as "the festival of colors". Holika Dahan (the night before Holi when the fires are lit) is on the 22nd this year, followed by the Holi on the 23rd. This celebration in the Vedic calendar which roughly coincides with the vernal equinox and the arrival of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, sparks creative potential, increased love, beauty and creativity. It takes place with the Phalguni Purnima as the Phalguni stars are ripe with sensuality, love, beauty and abundant resources. No matter the hemisphere you are in, both spring and fall are considered "sandhi" times of year- or in between seasons. These are sacred times, when the veil is thin, sensitivity is heightened. In Ayurveda, we attend to necessary physical rituals that help the body cleanse and purify. Holi comes at this sacred junction and is a time to "plant seeds" so to speak. It is a celebration of fertility, abundance and the awakening of Shakti within Nature. It is the marking of the gap, which is ripe with potential and possibility. The full enlivening of Ma is celebrated during Vasant Navaratri- the nine days of Mother Divine, beginning on the 7th of April this year. Consider Holi the "kick off" celebration in many ways- a time to plant your desires and create your fruits for the coming year. Let this Full Moon enliven a sense of spring and possibility. Use this week's Creative Engagement activity (below) for your cultivation process. The full Moon is March 23rd at 05:00 PDT while Moon is in Virgo and Uttaraphalguni. Creative Ritual My Creative Rituals are intended to support your transformation and healing process in the cycle to come. Each ritual is in alignment with the cosmic tides- in order to help you adjust, shift and move more fluidly in balance with Nature's rhythms.
