This Week's Intention: Let the longings of your heart stir you into action. Allow passion and joy to circulate in and around you. Clear, release and let go of doubt and illusion. Stay true to course, by aligning with your potent inner silence. The week begins with the tail end of a total lunar eclipse while Moon finishes up its transit through Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra. Themes of release, letting go and endings kick off the week. The challenging portal between eclipses is complete, yet the lingering needs that were stirred, remain. Be gentle with yourself and attend to quiet, rest, meditation and self care in the coming days. Ease your letting go process with tenderness and intention. Renewal is on the horizon! October invites a deeper inward climb with Pitru Paksha and Navaratri arriving. Step into this sacred time with awareness and spiritual focus. Pitru Paksha is a fifteen day celebration honoring the ancestors which begins on September 28th and concludes on the 12th of October, the day before Navaratri begins. Use this time to intentionally connect and align with your lineage, ancestors and those who are ushering you forward. What action do you need to take in order to activate your familial dharma and leave a powerful legacy? Monday, mid morning, Moon moves to the final nakshatra of the zodiac, Revati. Ruling deity, Pushan, supports and assists our journey and travels. He brings nourishment and resources for our path, while also requiring attention to sensitivity and digestion. As Moon finishes up another transit through the twelve signs, use today for the necessary clean up and release after the full Moon + lunar eclipse. What are you holding onto that needs to be released on the mental and emotional body levels? Retrograde Mercury moves to its exaltation degrees early afternoon, rendering him debilitated. This continues until October 9th as he moves back into close conjunction with Rahu. Be mindful of communication and tend to mental body sensitivity. Meditation and self development are essential right now. Mind your mind and stay out of the shadows, illusions and darkness as much as possible. Use creativity, focus and goals to stay hopeful and illuminated. Themes of endings and release continue into Tuesday as Moon crosses the challenging gandanta (junction) between Pisces, into Aries. This cycle happens monthly as Moon completes its cycle through the zodiac, marking fresh starts and beginnings. However, the leap from water, endings, death (Pisces) into fire, renewal and emergence (Aries) can be difficult and intense. What are you letting go of? What are you moving towards? Intentionally make space for your release process and trust your leap into the new. As Moon jumps to Aries early morning and lands in Ashwini nakshatra, he receives the gaze of Jupiter, softening his landing. Allow rejuvenation through healing and creative energy. Trust in your ability to regenerate and take a bold step forward. Venus is at the very edge (sandhi) of Cancer and yet another challenging gandanta is sharing its effects. Feelings and emotions may be extra strong today as Venus prepares to leap from water (Cancer) to fire (Leo), instigating deep purification for our creativity and life force energy. Let your creative energy guide you and inspire change and transformation. Let emotions release and purify through tears and being near water. A tight conjunction (combustion) between Mercury and Sun is simultaneously occurring which can fry the mind and destabilize it. Keep the mental body cool and use frustration as momentum for change. Emotions and sensitivity may increase as Moon moves into Bharani nakshatra around midnight. Self care is essential. Attend to your vulnerability with tenderness. My Dharma Foundations Course special ends today! Last chance to receive 70% off this powerful, life changing course. Align with your dharma, transform and heal in the process. Get the Details. Wednesday arrives with deep emotional tides stirring. As Moon continues through Bharani nakshatra, Yama increases the need for self-control, restraint and intense focus. He notoriously increases sensitivity and victimization through one's karmas. Aligning with Natural Law is essential or he will certainly punish with his harsh ways. Through restraint, he allows re-patterning and re-focus and ultimately transformation and change. What are you ready to cut out of your life once and for all? What suffering are you clinging to like an old sweater, just because its more comfortable than change? Be radical with your release. Let the suffering go. Venus leaps to Leo at 15:12, purifying and cutting its ties to the emotional sign, Cancer. As Venus jumps to Leo and lands in Ketu's nakshatra, Magha, an invitation for a new, bold life is instigated. Venus renews its chase of Mars now and the two instigate extra passion in this already fiery sign. Jupiter here as well increases, expands and nourishes, offering a certain level of protection. Saturn's drishti invites in strength, balance and stability to the mix. Deep, passionate work can be done in this cycle- if we are aligned with our truth and power. Let your efforts be healing, transformational and sustainable. Use your gut wisdom as your guide. Notice where you're pushing too hard and allow grace and beauty to take over. Seek alignment with your desires and creative passions. Invite in playfulness wherever you can, while staying true to your course. Activate and align with goals more intentionally and keep your eye on the prize. Powerful, consistent action steps will be rewarded. Align with your heart wisdom and intuitive guidance for extra support. It has a fire to spark within you! Restraint, commitment and focus are necessary for gains at this time, but let your biggest dreams be your guiding force. Use this time wisely as next month will bring a debilitated Venus, challenging for creativity, relationships and life force energy. Make sure you don't burn yourself out in this cycle, then forced to re-balance next month. This warning will be especially important at the end of the transit as Venus leaves Leo in tight conjunction with Mars. Heat, tenacity and passion can overwhelm and overheat. Their passionate dance continues into Virgo, so prepare now with the intention of inner balance and self care. Use your creative life force energy diligently and consciously. Moon shifts to Krittika nakshatra before midnight and purification increases. Burn away the illusions and doubts. Stand in your fire. Today is the last chance to use my *free* Dharma Awakening Course materials. I'm removing everything from the website tomorrow! Did you miss these free dharmic offerings? Sign up for my newsletter for the details. Thursday begins with Moon nearing the edge of Aries, while transiting Krittika nakshatra. Attend to your inner flame and focus on the light you are cultivating. Add kindling gently and stoke your fire. Let the stomach be your guide today. Are you listening to your gut wisdom, seat of your emotions, passion and power? Where do you need to step it up? Where do you need to quit pushing so hard? What are you digesting and assimilating. Get nourishment. Mid afternoon, Moon jumps to Taurus and becomes exalted, expanded and full of emotional body wisdom. Both Rahu and Saturn give their gaze, churning storm energy up in the process. Intensity on the emotional body level will be activated. How do you use this power? Channel it creatively. Use it for powerful momentum forward. Don't get stuck in its overwhelm and toxicity. Can you change and transform the challenge into growth and forward movement? Rise to the occasion and feel the creative surge. Moon's exaltation only lasts until mid morning, but the emotional body will still be strong. Late evening, Moon shifts to Rohini nakshatra and the creative energy increases. Dance, sing, paint your dreams into reality! Lord Brahma is here to support your journey. Friday continues with potent, creative themes as Moon continues through Rohini nakshatra. Lord Brahma and his wife, goddess Saraswati, are the ultimate manifestation dynamic. When masculine and feminine align creative life force is fully activated and can be channeled in potent ways. Their connection to both manifestation and the arts, make all art forms powerful tools for creating our life if used intentionally. Create, make it real, bring your dreams to life. Get creative! Your life depends on it. Late night, Moon shifts to Mrigashirsha nakshatra, closing out the day with a sense of expansion and reaching towards goals. Today, the Doors close on my Dharma Mentorship! Last chance to work with me directly, align with your potent life path and awaken you dharma. I won't offer this program again until fall of 2016. Say yes to your powerful life and join me. Email Me: [email protected] Saturday continues with Moon transiting Mrigashirsha nakshatra. Moon shifts to Gemini mid morning outside of the gaze of any planets, yet ruling planet of this sign, Mercury, gives its influence from Virgo. Allow Soma and the deep nectar of life to soothe you and whatever ails you. Soak up the nourishment of life and let it seep into your depths. Keep reaching, striving, moving towards goals, desires, aspirations. Let passion stoke your desires for comfort, deep nourishment and healing. What does your heart long for? What does it need for greater safety and support? Move, dance, create and saturate yourself in creative potency today. Late evening, Moon shifts to Ardra nakshatra, and Rudra steps in. Power, force and emotional intensity increase. Sunday, Moon continues through Ardra nakshatra and the strength of storm god, Rudra, brings his dynamism. Ruling planet of this nakshatra, Rahu, currently conjunct Mercury, brings a certain mental body storm. Creativity, currency, connection and communication intensify. How are you using these resources? Where are you maximizing your strength? Where are you diminishing it? Use the power of the mind very consciously and intentionally. Who is ruling who? Create with your storm wisely. The week closes with Moon moving into Punarvasu nakshatra before midnight. Aditi's wisdom and support arrives to usher in deeper nourishment. She brings resources and unity consciousness with her. Align with wholeness and divine flow. Let this theme carry you through Monday as you deepen and drop into greater holding and grounding. As Moon moves into its own sign, Cancer, early afternoon on Monday, we can truly land in our awakened heart more easily. Strip off the veils of illusion and saturate yourself in the purity of the emotional body. *All calculations given are Pacific Daylight Time.

This Week's Intention: Transform your darkness into light. Use your pain, challenges and suffering to transform and heal. This is a powerful week for the emotional body. As we approach the total lunar eclipse and full Moon, our inner waters are likely feeling the pangs. Remember we are still in the delicate portal between eclipses, the gap, which intensifies our feelings. It can also shadow our experiences and our receptivity. This is not a time for risks or starting new projects, however it is an excellent time to be thoroughly navigating and attending to our darkness, shadows and personal mythology. When the challenges come, it's a reminder to do the necessary inner work for clean up and healing. Retrograde Mercury in Virgo, conjunct Sun and lunar node, Rahu, reminds us to clean up the mental body right now. Your efforts will be supported at this time. Ganesha Chaurthi continues this week until the full Moon, helping to remove obstacles and challenges along our path of awakening. Monday begins with Moon transiting Sagittarius and the first nakshatra of this one-pointed sign, Mula. As the Moon moves through Mula nakshatra, we may face our challenges directly as this constellation brings chaos and tumult from the dark goddess herself, Nirrti. She brings calamity with her, as well as crisis, confusion and destruction of inner power. Her forces are meant to keep one from dharma, a path of truth, power and inner knowing. Her darkness can bring great misery, or great healing. The healing only arrives when we are willing to face our own darkness and use it as a means of transformation, change and awakening. Are you working with the challenges consciously or resisting them? Any force against the challenge will not be a good use of your efforts or energy. Instead, surrender, let go and allow release. Simplify and do less- in order to accomplish more. Evening arrives with Moon shifting into PurvaAshada nakshatra, the domain of Apas, the water goddess. Let the waters flow and allow yourself to be purified. My final *free* Dharma Awakening class is this Saturday the 26th! This is the last time to receive my dharma resources until fall 2016. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Day of Mars, Tuesday, continues with the potency of PurvaAshada, Apas and ruling planet Venus. With Venus still in Cancer, our heart center and emotions are extra sensitive and feelings are stronger. Moon receives drishti from Jupiter which can increase swelling, expansion and excess. This will effect our emotions and spiritual body. Allow the nourishment to fill you up. Let the water within you flow, move and heal. Use creativity, gentle movement and nourishing relationships for extra support today. Let water soothe and clarify you by walking near it, soaking in it, or both. As evening begins, Moon moves to the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttaraAshada. The Vishvadevas, or all gods, arrive and help us align with truth, purity and wisdom. Invite in the sattva. Wednesday begins and Mercury flavors the day. Moon moves to Capricorn but continues to transit through the domain of the Vishvadevas. Here, our emotional body (Moon) receives drishti from Venus, Saturn, and Rahu. Sun and Rahu are in exact conjunction today. The light within is truly shadowed and darkened. Turn on the light and flip the switch! Shine light on your darkness and transform your shadows! Align with dharma, truth and purity. Where there is darkness, there is an opportunity for more light. Don't stray from your path! Around noon, Moon moves to the sacred 28th nakshatra, Abhijit, which supports deep spiritual awakening and healing. This special portal lasts until just after 19:00. This is an ideal time to set intentions, meditate and say prayers. Align with your truth, purpose and dharma at this time. Let the universe know your desires and take steps to bring them into form. Moon continues through Sravana nakshatra which is Vishnu's domain. A certain expansion and spiritual wisdom is available right now. Listen carefully. Fall equinox is September 23rd when the Sun crosses the celestial equator (an imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator) north to south. Fall equinox occurs at 03:22 CDT and marks shorter days (more darkness) for the northern hemisphere. Longer days (more daylight) will now begin for the southern hemisphere. Thursday continues with Vishnu's expansiveness and wisdom. He is responsible for dharma and aligning with sattva, truth. He is akasha (space) and therefor exists everywhere. Akasha transmits dharma and allows us to hear truth. Traditionally, dharma was passed orally and the ears were the main vehicle for attuning and acquiring dharmic understanding. Sravana nakshatra translates as "hearing, listening, studying and learning". There is a connection to "hearing the teachings" and being receptive enough to follow them with potent action steps. The symbols are an ear, footprints and a trident. Align with your truth, inner power and wisdom today. Let your feelings and intuitive knowing be your guide. Move towards dharma and take action that supports its unfolding. Late afternoon, Moon moves to Dhanishta nakshatra, the domain of the Vasu Devas and Mars. The Vasu Devas bring increased light and shining. Let your light shine! My final *free* Dharma Awakening class is this Saturday the 26th! This is the last time to receive my dharma resources until fall 2016. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Friday shares the divine light of the Vasu Devas as Moon continues to transit Dhanishta nakshatra. In the wee hours of the morning, Moon shifts to Aquarius, receiving direct gaze from Mars and Jupiter, bringing a certain stare of warrior spirit and wisdom from the guru. The Vasu Devas love to sparkle, shine and be seen. Their inner light, or jyoti, insures increased awareness, awakening and inner strength. Power and prosperity go hand in hand and the Vasu Devas bring both. As shine and share your truth, your potency and power increases. Shine your light on your darkness and shadows, step powerfully and courageously towards your truth and life purpose. Early afternoon, Moon shifts to Satabisha nakshatra and Varuna offers his certain intensity. He sees all with his thousand eyes. Align with his desires for truth and the universality of Natural Law and you will gain from his resources. Stray and he will bring punishment through ill health and misfortune. Make truth and integrity your priorities today and attend diligently to your health and wellness. Saturday continues with Varuna's potency. He can offer great healing and transformation, as well as resources and support, when we align with his desires. When Moon transits through his domain, the constellation Satabisha, it's a reminder to pay close attention to our physical body and our overall health. Let your physical body be well nourished and follow Ayurvedic regimens for maximum support from this fierce deity. Late morning Moon moves to PurvaBhadra nakshatra, as it enters the 14th tithi. Ruling deity, Ajaikapda, arrives to help us balance challenge, obstacles and difficulties. The Moon is almost completely full and the swelling tides will be creating challenges, discomfort and excess on the emotional body level. Surf these tides with awareness and intention. Use today as a clean up day. What personal development has been left unattended? What shadow work has been kept in the dark? How are you preparing for the full Moon and lunar eclipse? Now is the time to release and surrender anything that you are gripping to, holding tightly. If it's not serving your deep nourishment, let it go. Moon jumps into Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac, early Sunday morning, joining south node, Ketu here. Both receive drishti from Rahu, retrograde Mercury and Sun. Moon arrives into the 15th and final tithi (phase) of the waxing Moon and our emotional body swells with the high tides. Our Moon cups are full! Late morning, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada constellation, Uttarabhadra. Ahirbudhnya arrives to support our deep awakening and transformation process. As serpent of the deep, dark, hidden territory of our subconscious, he helps us bring our depth to the surface for more light. What are you missing? Dig up your depths and offer it to the light. Full Moon is September 27th at 19:50 PDT while Moon is in Pisces and Uttarabhadrapada Nakshatra. There is a total Lunar Eclipse at the time of this full Moon, which intensifies emotions, feelings and shadows being cast upon our emotional body. This full Moon brings a sense of beginnings, renewal and rejuvenation with it, themes which carry us through the waning Moon cycle. Moon conjuncts south node, Ketu leading up to the full Moon and continues its close proximity afterwards. This encourages cutting away and letting go of what no longer serves us in our emotional body. As Moon passes through Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac, this theme of letting go, endings and release, amplifies. The heart requires expansion and more fluidity, while the mind is tenacious, focused and radical. Blend these two elements and seek more inner harmony. Retrograde Mercury is conjunct Sun and Rahu in Virgo, which gives an opportunity for more light to shine on our darkness and illusions. Do you invite in the light, or continue to stay in the dark? Take the veils off and shine light into the dark corners of your mind. Mars gives his gaze to Moon and Ketu in Pisces at this time, and both receive the penetrating gaze of Rahu, Sun and retrograde Mercury seven houses away. It's a time of radical house-cleaning of mental and emotional bodies. Leave no stone un-turned and be diligent in your release process. Wishing you had the extended version of my Full Moon Details? Purchase my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar. This total lunar eclipse marks the ending of the delicate two week gap between eclipses. It is never advised to look at an eclipse directly nor be out while it's occurring. (This particular lunar eclipse will be visible in Europe, South/East Asia, Africa, Much of North America, Much of South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, Antarctica). Eclipses are a time to meditate, follow spiritual practices, chant and adhere to rest. Leading up to the eclipse, fasting or eating lightly is traditional. It is a time to reflect, turn inward and work consciously with our shadow parts. After all, an eclipse is showing us the shadow on our Sun or Moon qualities quite directly. *All calculations given are Pacific Daylight Time.
My final *free* Dharma Awakening class is this Saturday the 26th! This is the last time to receive my dharma resources until fall 2016. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Need some extra guidance and clarity? I still have a few October openings. Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. The partial solar eclipse and new Moon on September 12th, ushered in a waxing Moon and multiple planetary changes for the cycle to come. Back to back, Mars and Sun both change signs, while Mercury goes retrograde just after. These changes bring a separation between the tight conjunction of Mars and Venus, while Sun leaves its own sign for his enemy's sign, Virgo. September 12th began a delicate two week period between eclipses that lasts until the total lunar eclipse and full Moon on September 27th. The gap between eclipses is a sacred time where we must be diligent with spiritual matters and notice the messages that arrive. Traditionally, it is not a time to start new ventures or take daring or dangerous actions. It is however a time to reflect, turn inward and work consciously with our shadow parts. After all, an eclipse is showing us the shadow on our Sun or Moon qualities quite directly. Any solar eclipse is a shadow to our Sun self, our inner light, the soul. In the coming waxing cycle, be diligent with your masculine energy, ego, father and personal mythology connected to these. This includes being seen, noticed and heard and the outward manifestation of our desires. In fact, manifestation is a huge part of this cycle. For some, blessings and gains may arrive with powerful force and purpose. Others may experience power struggles inside and out. Relationships take center stage. Are you in right relationship with others? This begins with having a very honest and courageous relationship with yourself first and foremost. Get aligned with who you are and what you stand for. Be bold in what you ask for and take a leap towards your power, path and purpose. Trust your inner knowing. At 08:22 on Tuesday September 15th, Mars makes the leap officially into Leo, joining Jupiter and a sandhi Sun here. All receive drishti from Saturn's stern and focused stare. Mars enjoys the sign Leo and its ruling planet Sun, for their fiery, passionate ways, as well as the great teacher and wisdom giver, Jupiter. Saturn and Mars, however oppose each other energetically. Mars is fast while Saturn is extremely slow. Take this advice into the coming cycle as there will be a desire to push, force and rush, while Saturn will insist on slow, methodical steps for greater balance. If you feel frustrations with your desires, action steps, relationships and creative passions, it is Saturn reminding you to slow down and be more intentional with your actions. He reminds us to stay aligned with the wisdom of Nature. Are you listening? Part of this Mars transit includes another tight conjunction between the warrior energy of Mars and the fluid, creative and feminine, Venus, once again. There is a brief separation as Mars shifts to Leo, but Venus joins him here two weeks later on September 30th. The fiery, passionate and focused warrior planet dances yet again with the creative, relationship planet, Venus, who shares the wisdom of feelings with us. This duo in Leo will increase passions on all levels of life- including creative, artistic, romantic, and relational. Power increases and our drive to achieve passionately, unfolds. Increasing this potent creative, life force energy, as well as a focus on romance and relationships, comes from the shift of Jupiter into Purvaphalguni nakshatra on September 14th. Jupiter's expansive qualities intensify the potency of the Phalguni constellation and their sensual expression. Bhaga brings resources, comforts and the ability to manifest desires into form. Be conscious about what you are creating in your life at this time. Increase your feelings of nourishment, happiness and joy, in order to create more of this in your life. Seek wisdom that brings inner harmony and open your heart to gratitude, passion and allow the romance of life to lift you up. Creativity takes courage, so use your creative powers very intentionally and courageously at this time. Just before midnight on Wednesday, September 16th at 23: 26, Sun shifts into Virgo, joining Rahu and Mercury here. All receive drishti from Ketu, the re-structuring lightning bolt. Sun is not fond of Virgo and this can cause discomfort for our mind, strategies, connections and communication. His light wants to shine potently and powerfully, at maximum strength, yet Virgo is very specific, overly focused at times and too direct. This can cause mental burn, overwhelm and excess heat in the mental body so be vigilant at this time with your mind. Are you pushing too hard? Are you feeling taxed, overwhelmed or dissatisfied? Virgo's precision and the mental body, may be keeping you from nourishment. Allow in the feelings of light, awakening and new insights to encourage healing and greater support. This transit of Sun can be a powerful opportunity for awakenings, depending on where we put our efforts and energy. Great healing and inner light is possible, if we diligently look at our shadows and courageously attend to our inner struggles. The mind will be telling you one thing, but listen to the heart and its wisdom instead. Go for nourishment, go for healing old wounds, go for your inner gold this time. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Mercury begins his 22 day retrograde motion at 11:07 on Thursday, the 17th, moving back through his favorite sign, Virgo. The conjunction of Mercury and Rahu during this cycle will effect individuals differently. For some, the confusion of Rahu will undermine the potency of Mercury being well positioned, intensified by Mercury's retrograde motion. Others will experience a massive upswing in finances, connections and creativity. Your ability to resource from your inner strength and power will determine your success during this extra long Virgo transit. What is your relationship with your shadow? Can you tame the beast, call it on its self-deprecation and consciously work with overcoming limiting beliefs? Success will come to those who take the dark and turn it into the light. Your biggest struggles are asking you to rise to the occasion. Turn struggle and challenge into gifts and awakening. This Mercury cycle is extra long and unusual. In many regards it is an offering with extra graces- if we choose to use them as such. Mercury usually makes fairly swift movements, yet his retrograde motion will prolong his dance through his favorite sign. He will retrograde on September 17th, then go direct on October 9th, and finally leave Virgo on the 28th of October. During this back and forth shuffle, he will move in and out of his most potent degree range and also slide in and out of his mulitrikona and own sign degrees. We get a smorgasbord of his support, struggles and potency. An exalted planet shares 100% of his energy, mulitrikona 75% and own sign 50%. Remember that once he retrogrades, at times he will be considered debilitated as he moves back through his exaltation degrees. (Exalted planets in retrograde motion are considered debilitated). This occurs from September 28th to October 9th to be exact. At this time he is closely conjunct Rahu and combust (burnt) from the Sun. Certainly a time to be very diligent with our mental body, our shadow work and our ego. Use this time for conscious self development work and spiritual practices. During this Mercury transit through Virgo, we will all need to pay special attention to our mental body, our imaginal body. Stories, thoughts, ideas and words will be extra strong and powerful as will our creativity and imagination. This is the part of our being that can create magic, or destroy us. Depending on Mercury's placement in your chart and your relationship with him, this could be an extra challenging cycle, or a powerful and creative game-changer. Being on top of your mental/emotional body dynamics will be vital. Full Moon is Sunday, September 27 at 19:50 PDT, while Moon is in Pisces and Uttarabhadrapada Nakshatra. This full Moon coincides with a Total Lunar Eclipse. *Horoscopes are based on your Vedic (sidereal) rising sign. You can also check your Moon and Sun signs for further insight. Are you paying attention to the messages arriving? Use your words, imagination and creativity for being seen and noticed. Put yourself out there and make your desires known to the universe! Teach, advise, guide and allow in resources that will support you with the same. Clean, clear and purify your heart. Capricorn: Gains come with your slow, methodical actions steps and harvesting from your depths. Share your vulnerability and darkness as a resource for others. Strip off veils of illusion that are holding you back from being authentic and real. Teach, share and observe. Let relationships and connections nourish you and support your career. Get spiritually creative and innovate. Your words are potent, let them be a healing balm for others. Aquarius: There's passion and learning from all your relationships right now. Use the mirror as your biggest resource for awakening. Challenge and conflict are reminders to re-assess your needs and desires, while also noticing where you are mismanaging your power. Dive deeply into your depths and transform your shadows, fears, illusions and doubts. This is a time for extra spiritual support. Don't push too hard or force outcomes. Pisces: Relationships continue to bring confusion, vaguery and uncertainty. Is it you who is unclear? Stories, fears and illusions from the past return and resurface with potent reminders. Clean up your issues with power and heal issues with the masculine. Your heart and emotional body wisdom can support you with awakening. The solar eclipse of last week ushers in a waxing Moon and multiple planetary changes for the days to come. It's a very exciting week for the transits, with Mars and Sun both changing signs and Mercury going retrograde. These changes bring a separation between the tight conjunction of Mars and Venus, while Sun leaves its own sign for his enemy's sign, Virgo. We are now in a delicate two week period between eclipses that lasts until the total lunar eclipse and full Moon on September 27th. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Monday begins with Moon transiting Virgo and Hasta nakshatra, tightly conjunct Mercury as well as Rahu. Ruling deity, Savitr, brings his guiding light and awakenings today. Allow in the light, new realizations and potent connections through thinking and feeling. With Moon, Mercury and Rahu dancing so closely today, the battle between thinking and feeling may be strong. Allow in the feelings of goodness, prosperity and purpose. How can you find balance between the inner forces of mind and emotions? Let the light come in and bring the dawn. It's a new dawn, it's a new day. What are you creating? Mars is at the edge of Cancer in deep sandhi. He's leaving the watery sign of feelings and jumping into the fiery, passionate sign of Leo. Be a warrior of the heart right now and prepare to leap into your passions feet first in the coming cycle. Day of Mars, Tuesday, brings Moon shifting into a Mars ruled nakshatra, Chitra, late morning. This constellation is Vishvakarma's domain, the celestial architect. He loves powerful action, creativity and alignment with the cosmos. He's an artist and craftsman and he supports these endeavors as well as building and planning. Take intentional action steps today that align with your higher purpose, path and creativity. Creativity takes courage, so use your creative powers very intentionally and courageoulsy at this time. Moon moves to Libra, late evening, leaving the influence of the other planets through conjunction or gaze. Allow in the emotional body space over the coming days. Sun is at the very edge of Leo, ready to step into Virgo. Keep your light burning by attending to your body and soul. As Wednesday arrives, Moon continues through Chitra until just before noon. Swati nakshatra gains magnification as Moon enters this nakshatra. Ruling deity Vayu brings swift change, powerful movement and strength. The mind and body will be the forces behind these changes. Are you grounded or lost in flight? Stay grounded and get embodied, rather than getting overpowered by the strong winds of Vayu. He brings change- whether small or large, as well as strength to move mountains. What needs to shift inside, so you can gain the power and strength you need to build your empire? Halfway through Thursday, day of the guru, Moon shifts into the final nakshatra of Libra, Vishaka. Often described as the "triumphant gateway", the symbol here is a decorated gateway, while Vishaka's translation is "the two branches". Vishaka gives us options, choices and thereby confusion at times. Do you go left or right? Say yes or no? As my guru Maharishi once said, in the market place, "you can choose salt or sugar." Ruling deity, Indragni, reminds us that every path requires support, collaboration and co-creation. Allow yourself to receive support in order to enhance your path. What choice do you make for your potent, powerful life today? Do you choose to honor your gifts, desires, passions and heart wisdom? Do you honor your feelings and their messages of truth? Step onto the path of nourishment, support and inner kindness. Say yes to the sugar and sweetness of your one, precious life. Today, September 17th, is Ganesh Chaturthi, celebrated birthday of the revered elephant god. The festivities continue for 10 days, ending on the 27th with the Purnima Moon. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati who removes obstacles and challenges on our path of awakening. On the physical body level, his head correlates to our brain and his trunk to our spinal column. These are essential body parts for transcendence and awakening. He is a reminder of spiritual practice, devotion and mental body vigilance- in order for awakening and our greatest obstacles to be removed from our path. Jai Ganesha!! Late morning on Friday, Moon arrives into its debilitation sign, Scorpio, joining planet of grief, Saturn. Mars and Ketu share their drishti as well. This combination contracts the otherwise joyful and harmonizing spirit of the Moon, while also bringing agitations, anger and frustrations to the surface. A certain depression may arrive in the coming days. The emotional body is reminding you to express, awaken and transform your feelings. Have you been closing off, repressing your power, passions and emotional body wisdom? Now is the time to get things moving. As Moon shifts into Anuradha late afternoon, friends, connections and comrades can be powerful allies of support. Let a trustworthy and nourishing relationship in for guidance and listening. Allow yourself to share and be witnessed for your struggles and sorrows. Use your physical body wisdom as a resource for harvesting your emotional body messages. Move, create, express, transform. Stay out of the fine details that limit your broad, expanded awareness. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Saturday continues Anuradha's themes of support and connection. Ruling deity, Mitra, allows success and deep connection to transpire. Are you allowing in the nourishing, supportive assistance? Let the gifts arrive and say yes! Early evening, Moon shifts to Indra's domain, Jyeshtha nakshatra. As king of the devas (gods), Indra is a master and powerful leader. Planetary ruler, Mercury, invites in mastery of the mind and senses. The opportunity for mental body healing comes with Jyestha, but through control and focused, aligned intention. Do you rule your mind or does it rule you? Sunday continues Indra's support and awareness. There is extra sensitivity within this nakshatra, but simultaneously great power. Find mastery with your senses and the illusions they bring. Commit to transforming negative thoughts into powerful, positive ones. Use the shadows and darkness of the mind to awaken you. How are your challenges keeping you in the dark? Let them lead you towards your gifts, your truth and potency. Mid evening, Moon jumps to Sagittarius. This can be a tricky gandanta for any planet- from water to fire. As Moon makes his leap, he arrives into Mula nakshatra, a challenging and tumultuous constellation ruled by the dark goddess herself, Nirrti. Monday begins with the chaos of Nirrti so keep this in mind as you step into your day. Are you working with the challenges consciously or resisting them? Any force against the challenge will not be a good use of your efforts or energy. Instead, surrender, let go and allow release. Simplify and do less- in order to accomplish more. *All calculations given are Pacific Daylight Time. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. The purpose of life is to give it away." ~ Pablo Picasso Once a year, I focus my offerings on Dharma- what it is, how to find it, and why it's so important that you do. As the sacred time of Navaratri approaches, this is an ideal time to turn your focus towards the inner and your divine gifts, while also transforming and healing in the process. My own dharmic path has been wrought with deep pain, struggle and turmoil. In fact, even jyotish wasn't able to help me (now I know why!) As a highly sensitive person, my challenges seemed to be extra intense and it seemed I had a lot fewer options than others. The pain and struggle of not knowing my life purpose, my reason for being alive was so challenging and dark, I lost my way over and over again. Drugs, alcohol, bouts of deep depression and suicidal thoughts were part of my struggle. Nothing was clear and I was terribly lost. Years later, I can see the divine gifts in this darkness. In fact, these enormous challenges, I've discovered, are the only reason I can share my dharmic work with the world at all, and never take it for granted. I know the pain of being terrible lost and without a sense of purpose. My mission in life is to help others find their own compass and to spark a life of passion and joy. Through my own difficulties, I discovered some very essential pieces for unlocking one's dharma. The biggest challenge with dharma is that every path is completely unique and different. It's mystifying and uncertain, vague and hidden in many ways. However, there are some vital resources and tools that everyone can use for greater clarity. These are the exciting and profound insights I have to share with you. Finding your dharma doesn't need to be agonizing or terrifying. But a certain diligence and some special tools will help you uncover your path with more ease. Step #1: Planting Seeds The first thing you need to do is think about your lineage. Who in your family was a healer, artist or extremely spiritual? Remember to look beneath the surface. Often our ancestors weren't fully able to express their creativity and gifts, but the seeds are there nonetheless. Your job is to notice where these threads are- and how they relate to you. Was your grandmother in church every Sunday? Did she love to sing the hymns? Do you have a doctor or teacher in the family? A poet? These are important facts you want to write down. These gifts are within you and are waiting to be activated and shared with the world. But these lineage gifts will be offered in very unique and special ways through your own being. Your job is to invite this in! Next, write down your passions. What do you love to do and what would you spend your time doing if there was nothing standing in your way? Again, these are hints and clues that must not be neglected. Keep an ongoing list of your favorite activities. Finally, what tasks do you do everyday that you enjoy? What pieces of your life do you activate daily and find nourishing? Maybe you cook one great meal a day or keep track of your thoughts in a journal. Maybe spending quality time with family or friends is vital, or walking your dog. These are also very important pieces of your dharmic path. Consider them clues. Don't overlook the seemingly mundane tasks you do in your life. These are connected to your gifts and offerings. Keep track of all of these pieces and add to your list as insights come. The Ultimate Dharmic Resources In my previous Dharma article, I share the essential pieces of your jyotish chart that you must use to explore your dharma. Read it here. Remember that the 9th house of your jyotish chart is the house of dharma. It is also the house of enlightenment, the evolution of the soul. Yes, there's an entire house dedicated to dharma in your chart! The rest of the chart can help you assess and explore the messages of your 9th house. You can also study your navamsa (a special divisional chart) which gives even more detail and precision for your path and purpose. Jyotish truly shares it all! My podcast below shares much more about using jyotish for unlocking the wisdom of your dharma. But there's another essential piece of the puzzle you must not overlook: Your challenges and shadows. It's the place no one wants to look, but it's the most vital part of the dharmic journey. You must use your challenges and pains as resources for awakening. The truth is, the darkness in your life and on your path is always connected to your dharma. They aren't separate. What are you biggest obstacles, challenges and pains? What has caused you the most suffering in your life? Put these on your resource list. You'll need them as we continue to explore the essential pieces that you must use to unlock the mystery of your dharma. Use my podcast below for deeper insights. I share a basic overview of how to use your jyotish chart in order to refine your dharmic understanding. I explain the important houses to look at for refining your purpose and why the ninth house is so important in your dharmic understanding! Get out your jyotish chart and follow along! Don't have one?
