Align With Durga and Her Powerful Energy of Change and Transformation During Navaratri.
Navaratri is a poignant time in the Vedic Calendar. This ancient calendar is one that is dedicated to Nature and her cycles and rhythms, the planets, and most importantly the Moon. In the Vedic Calendar, time is connected to what Nature and the cosmos are doing, and these elements are intimately related. The main Navaratri celebrations occur twice a year- in the "gap" seasons of spring and fall. These times are considered sandhi times; delicate times that feel like you are neither here, nor there. We might call it the netherworld. This time, though delicate, is considered sacred. In the spring, Navaratri marks the "waking up" of the devis or the goddesses, of Shakti; the aspects of Natural Law that enliven growth, abundance, prosperity, learning, well being, change and transformation. In the fall, Navaratri invites in destruction, removal, change, transformation and healing. The goddesses Durga, Saraswati and Lakshmi symbolize these parts of life and Nature, while also being parts of our own innate being. The three of them together represent our wholeness, the trinity of life, alive in and around us. These three goddesses also connect to Shakti, the goddess who gives the spark of life to every being, to Nature, and to existence. Fall Navaratri, or Maha Navaratri, is by far the most potent as it brings deep transformation and the ability to remove, destroy, release and transform, our darkness into light. The holy trinity of goddesses supports this process and allows us to let go of what needs to be released in order for greater nourishment. As we let go of our darkness, an increase of light and wisdom can take its place. This process is marked by Durga's powerful battle against the demon Mahishasura. On the 10th day, she destroyed him and was victorious. This day is called Vijaya Dashami (Dashami is the 10th lunar day of the Moon cycle, connected to dharma). Vasant Navaratri, or spring Navaratri, begins with the new Moon this year, on Thursday April 7th at 04:24 am PDT. Sun and Moon are in Revati nakshatra, the final star of the zodiac, signifying endings and beginnings. This is the mark of the Vedic Lunar New Year and the beginning of the sacred nine day celebration of Navaratri as well. Durga is enlivened at this time! The battle between good over evil intensifies in the coming days as Durga battles the demon Mahishasura. This battle takes place within every human being. The conflict between light and dark forces, polarities, is expressed through this sacred and timeless battle. It also mirrors the conflicts stirred between the masculine and feminine energies within. This battle is a wake up call, a clearing of old, stagnant beliefs, patterns and behaviors. Pay close attention during this sacred nine day celebration as inner and outer conflicts intensify. What does this conflict share with you about your polarities? What mirrors are being held up in order for you to make lasting change and transformation? Nava means nine in Sanskrit while Ratri means nights. This is a nine day celebration that is divided into three parts. The first three days are dedicated to the goddess Durga. Her warrior spirit cleanses, shifts, uproots, changes and transforms. Think of her as tilling the soil, prior to planting seeds. The next three days of celebration are dedicated to Lakshmi. Her abundance, nurturing, and wealth offer nourishment and support to us on all levels of life. Health is the ultimate wealth and Lakshmi brings this support as well. Finally, we have three days dedicated to goddess Saraswati. She gives us knowledge, understanding, wisdom, creativity and artistry. She is the rasayana (or healing balm) if you will to close this sacred nine day celebration. Together, these three goddesses bring wholeness, renewal, and the life giving offerings of Shakti. This creative life-force energy is truly what inspires life, living and abundance. She is your Creative Intelligence. It is at this time that we can connect to these three goddesses most easily- inside of us, and around us. Because of this, Navaratri is considered a very sacred and powerful time of year- one that influences our inner and outer experience of life for months to come. To connect with the goddesses more closely, make special offerings on your altar to them during the nine days. You can also dedicate your actions and intentions to them for greater communication. Use this time for self development practices and sacred pause. Slow down and notice what is stirring within you and around you. Connecting to fire and stoking the internal flame (or agni) can be valuable for the first three days of Durga. You may wish to write intentions that focus on empowerment and action steps for the coming months as well. Using self development tools to transform negative thoughts and mental body stories, will be well supported at this time. During the three days of Lakshmi, bring sweets and flowers to your altar, cook nourishing foods for your Self, decorate and adorn your Self. This is a time to focus on self care diligently. For the final portion of Navaratri, dedicated to Saraswati, music, art and poetry can be a good way to focus your energy, efforts and intentions. Use creativity, artistry and embodiment resources for grounding and landing in your intentions. Use my Creative Rituals for support with this process. During this sacred and potent time, treat your Self like the goddess that you are and share your abundance with others. May we each remember our abundant true nature, our immense creative life giving energy and the power of the Divine Feminine for healing and transformation! The Thing Is The thing is.. to love life, to love it even when you have no stomach for it and everything you've held dear crumbles like burnt paper in your hand, your throat filled with the silt of it. When grief sits with you, its tropical heat thickening the air, heavy as water more fit for gills than lungs; when grief weights you like your own flesh only more of it, an obesity of grief, you think, How can a body withstand this? Then you hold life like a face between your palms, a plain face, no charming smile, no violet eyes, and you say, yes, I will take you I will love you again. ~ Ellen Bass Renewal, awakenings and beginnings arrive with the Vernal equinox on March 19th at 21:00 PDT. The length of light and darkness is almost equal on this day, which marks a turning point. For the northern hemisphere, days will be getting lighter (longer) as we move into spring and summer. This is the beginning of more light, more life. Shakti is stirring, inviting in more creativity in the coming days and months. This sense of opening moves us towards completion as the eclipse portal closes. Fertility and creativity are enlivened with this full Moon, as it coincides with the Vedic Holi festival, also known as "the festival of colors". Holika Dahan (the night before Holi when the fires are lit) is on the 22nd this year, followed by the Holi on the 23rd. This celebration in the Vedic calendar which roughly coincides with the vernal equinox and the arrival of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, sparks creative potential, increased love, beauty and creativity. It takes place with the Phalguni Purnima as the Phalguni stars are ripe with sensuality, love, beauty and abundant resources. No matter the hemisphere you are in, both spring and fall are considered "sandhi" times of year- or in between seasons. These are sacred times, when the veil is thin, sensitivity is heightened. In Ayurveda, we attend to necessary physical rituals that help the body cleanse and purify. Holi comes at this sacred junction and is a time to "plant seeds" so to speak. It is a celebration of fertility, abundance and the awakening of Shakti within Nature. It is the marking of the gap, which is ripe with potential and possibility. The full enlivening of Ma is celebrated during Vasant Navaratri- the nine days of Mother Divine, beginning on the 7th of April this year. Consider Holi the "kick off" celebration in many ways- a time to plant your desires and create your fruits for the coming year. Let this Full Moon enliven a sense of spring and possibility. Use this week's Creative Engagement activity (below) for your cultivation process. The full Moon is March 23rd at 05:00 PDT while Moon is in Virgo and Uttaraphalguni. This full Moon coincides with a penumbral lunar eclipse, closing the two week eclipse portal that has been invoking challenging shadow work for many. The eclipse begins at 02:39 PDT, with the maximum eclipse being at 04:47 PDT, and ending at 06:54 PDT. Creative Ritual My Creative Rituals are intended to support your transformation and healing process in the cycle to come. Each ritual is in alignment with the cosmic tides- in order to help you adjust, shift and move more fluidly in balance with Nature's rhythms. Recycle this ritual more than once for added benefits. * For the full version sign up for my membership. Themes of deep transformation continue. Changes that connect to endings, release and letting go are emerging for each of us. As multiple planets touch the re-structuring heat of Ketu on their way out of Pisces (endings) and into Aries (beginnings), we will feel many areas of our being getting reformatted. The portal between Pisces and Aries opens up once Venus starts the procession from the end of the zodiac into the beginning. Mars follows suit March 23rd, then Mercury and Sun in April. This gandanta (gap) is particularly challenging, signifying deep inner change while ushering in insights and support from higher realms. Multiple parts of ourselves are going through upheaval and release. Trust the process and learn the art of surrender as you face your fire. Saturn begins his six month retrograde motion on March 14th. This is an event of re-visiting our structures, support systems- both internally and externally. The returning process is happening on an emotional body level which will demand our complete attention- especially as Jupiter continues to transit through the heart-centered emotional water sign of Cancer. The inner work that we commit to at this time will be lasting, deeply rooted change. This will bring transformation on the physical and emotional body levels. Read more about Saturn's transit through Scorpio and how he is impacting each sign. This waxing Moon cycle falls in between the delicate two week gap between solar eclipse and lunar eclipse. The spring celebration of the Divine Mothers, Vasant Navaratri, falls during this delicate two week gap. The nine day celebration begins Saturday March 21st with Moon in Pisces conjunct Mars, Sun and Ketu, intensifying themes of loss, release and letting go. Read more about Vasant Navaratri and how to make the most of this sacred time. I'll be sharing a 10 Day Self Care Challenge in my newsletter in the coming days for some extra resources. Make sure you're on my list. Remember that eclipses represent the shadowed self, our inner darkness that must come to the light. In the Vedic tradition, this is not a time to take risks, start new endeavors, or to over-exert. It is a time, however, of turning inward, of meditation and contemplation and a time to take extra care of the physical body with good routine etc. The delicate two week period between eclipses will end with a lunar eclipse and full Moon on April 4th. This full Moon will also be Hanuman Jayanti, the birthday of the sacred Monkey god who symbolizes heartfelt devotion. Timing is everything. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Aries: There is fire in your head and if you choose to use it wisely, you can get a lot accomplished at this time. Take bold and powerful action steps. Stand in your power and resolve to get your needs met. Don't take no for an answer. There is fear, uncertainty and a weakened ego to contend with, but confronting this darkness is part of the battle right now. These are old haunts and you are all too familiar with them. How you choose to work with these emotions and stories right now determines how you will move forward from here on out. Be bold.
Taurus: As you work more consciously with gains and losses, you may be noticing how life becomes almost neutralized as a result. Plus one, minus one, the result is still the same. There is an important message here for your ego and your mind. You don't change, no matter what is occurring around you, to you, through you. You stay the same. You are the neutral, the non changing. Be that non-dual state and use it as a way to overcome the fears and illusions that arrive. Gemini: It's important to be using your career right now as a self development tool, a resource for inner change. The way we handle our business is the way we handle our life and vice versa. If you are feeling the upheavals and changes with your offering to the world and how you offer yourself, it's time to start surfing the waves with more intention. How can you use these challenges as an opportunity for growth? What new resources and support do you need as you strengthen your business skills? Cancer: Very necessary parts of yourself are being restructured- pulled apart so you can put them back together more consciously. This re-structuring process has everything to do with you stepping into your dharma, your path, more aligned and more certain. Take some courageous action steps and put yourself out in more visible ways. Get the attention and recognition your ego needs to feel more confident in moving forward. You've done this before and you will do it again, but right now, your actions determine how you will thrive in the coming months. This will change the course of your path so let your steps be conscious. Leo: Changes are occurring in you from the inside out and helping you touch upon deep wounds of the past. Your ego and sense of self is going through many transformations. Some new passion is being re-kindled in this process so tend to this inner flame carefully. This requires being diligent and gentle with your emotional body right now. The keys are within your heart. The emotional body will be a necessary resource to help you unlock other hidden messages. Keep your eye on the prize and trust there is light at the end of the tunnel. Don't go down with the sinking ship! Stay connected to your purpose. Virgo: Uncertainties continue to plague you. By now, I hope you are figuring out that the best use of your time and efforts is to deeply surrender. Not roll over and take it, but in fact release and let go of your old attachments. These attachments are causing you great pain and suffering which are in fact the wounds you must transform and heal. Ketu in your 7th house is helping you shift your relationship attachments and find a new sense of inner strength simultaneously. You are building courage but this is a slow process. Let your steps be intentional. Libra: You are truly getting a chance to work on some very lingering bad habits. To heal and transform parts of yourself that are keeping you from succeeding powerfully and with conviction. Ego and mental body are getting cracked open, undermining your sense of comfort and support. Nourishment may feel fleeting or lost, but if you're paying attention, these themes are all too familiar. How can you move forward more consciously? How can you get some new support? What relationships are showing up to help you with this? Build a deeper relationship with your vulnerability. Scorpio: Feeling sensitive? That might be an understatement, so tending to your fragility with grace is truly the challenge. I believe this is possible as you acquire and gather new resources for yourself right now. Notice what is arriving to support you at this time of great transition and change. Learning to trust your gut intelligence, your instincts and intuition in deeper ways is part of what you are learning. This deeper relationship with your inner intelligence is truly just the thing you need for becoming more empowered. Trust the process. Sagittarius: Let the small comforts in, whatever may be returning. Notice if some of these returning comforts are actually bringing more pain instead. Perhaps you've outgrown some parts of yourself? Your needs have changed? Whatever this new awareness is, mark it and pay homage to it intentionally. The heart is learning and growing and helping you expand into new territory. Honor this and sense the strength in your core that is helping you reframe this time for yourself. Celebrate small victories. Capricorn: It feels like you've been here many times before. There's a strange comfort in this pain and transformation. Are you addicted to the pain? Do you use it as creative life force energy? Do you require it to thrive? Is it somehow a strange sort of medicine for you to stand in the fire like this? I believe so. There's something you still need from this darkness and all that you are confronting right now. What are you ready to release this time once and for all and what do you still need to cling to? Suffering can get very comfortable. Be aware of your comfort levels. Aquarius: You are finding new ways to be nourished, but not without facing your malnourishment in the process. The pains, the turmoil and the angst is a result of not being able to absorb the nourishment in you and around you. There are reasons for this and they come from your family system, your early childhood experiences. The sooner you are willing to bravely unpack these challenges and haunts, the sooner you'll be able to rebuild the life you've been waiting to live. Ask for support. Pisces: You've been getting the pressure from all sides dear one. In fact the major planetary shifts that have been happening for weeks now have all been happening inside your head. This is a time of deep awakening, of being cracked open in very intimate and intense ways. It would be completely normal for you to be feeling fragile, vulnerable and raw right now. The most important steps though are the ones you take to slowly piece yourself back together. Like Wabi Sabi, let the gold replace the broken places. This Week's Intention: Awaken your life force energy and boldly step forward on your path. We have passed the new Moon and have entered the waxing cycle. We are now in the delicate two week gap between solar eclipse and lunar eclipse. This week is entirely dedicated to the Divine Mothers during the Navaratri festivities. The nine day spring celebration of the Divine Mothers, Vasant Navaratri, begins Saturday March 21st with Moon in Pisces conjunct Mars, Sun and Ketu. Themes surface at this time around endings, loss, letting go and surrender. Read more about Vasant Navaratri and how to make the most of this sacred time. I'll be sharing a 10 Day Self Care Challenge in my newsletter in the coming days for some extra resources. Make sure you're on my list. The sacred celebration of the Divine Mothers happens to occur between eclipses this year. Eclipses represent the shadowed self, our inner darkness that must come to the light. In the Vedic tradition, this is not a time to take risks, start new endeavors, or to over-exert. It is a time, however, of turning inward, of meditation and contemplation and a time to take extra care of the physical body with good routine etc. The solar eclipse on March 20th marks a delicate two week period which will end with a lunar eclipse and full Moon on April 4th. Traditionally starting new endeavors during this delicate eclipse period is not advised. The week begins with Moon moving from the 4th to the 5th tithi (Moon phase) of the waxing cycle. Mars moves into its own sign, Aries, at 09:46 am PST. Having crossed the tricky gandanta (junction point) between Pisces and Aries early this morning, Mars jumps right into one of his favorite places, the fiery, tenacious sign of Aries. Mars in Pisces offered transformations within our warrior nature to be confronted. A placement that required surrender and letting go of agendas. Now that Mars has stepped into Aries, it's time to bring back a sense of commitment, focus and goals. The coming five weeks of Mars in Aries bring a sense of renewal, strength and agility to our warrior self. Let your courage out of hiding and bring its potency into your action steps. The ego still has a refinement process to go through right now, but working consciously with your inner warrior will help with this change. Monday, Moon transits Aries with Venus and Mars. Use courage and strength today, but temper it with new intentions and desires. This is the third day of Navaratri and the final of three dedicated to Ma Durga. Her ferocity is with us! Channel it consciously. What are you releasing of your old self in order to fully embrace your new inner power? Now is the time to purge and transform. You may still be in the cocoon phase, but this is a vital part of the change process. Use today to get clear on what you really want and need. Watch your temper and self track your anger. What's the underlying need? The Moon helps us extract and refine a new clarity on Tuesday. As it moves to Taurus and becomes exalted, creativity is enlivened. This can help us create some clarity and creative waves. The gaze of Rahu and Saturn on the Moon, however, bring a harsher experience to an otherwise soft experience. Moon is in Rohini nakshatra today and its ruler, Lord Brahma, assists us with the creative process. As the clouds part and your new resolve emerges, what are your new convictions? What are you discovering about your needs? What nourishment can you assimilate today that will help you with this process? It is the fourth day of Navaratri and the first of three dedicated to Maha Lakshmi. Her abundant forces are being enlivened to help you feel the nourishment of life force moving in and around you. Let in the love. Themes of abundance and nourishment continue on Wednesday, which give rise to new pathways of creativity. Possibility, hope, and a renewed sense of courage arrive later in the day. This results in an expression of creative courage, a desire to keep growing, branching out and achieving. Make your desires known and get your needs met. Ask and you will receive. It is the fifth day of Navaratri and the second of three dedicated to Maha Lakshmi. Her nourishing forces are here to support you and your needs. Are you making yourself available to receive her gifts? Read more about Vasant Navaratri and how to make the most of this sacred time. I'll be sharing a 10 Day Self Care Challenge in my newsletter in the coming days for some extra resources. Make sure you're on my list. Thursday brings powerful waves of emotion. How do you channel this passion? Mercury moves to the edge of Aquarius, intensifying the mind. Worry, anxiety and fear might be heightened today. The challenge will be transforming these mental body woes into something more hopeful. Keep possibility alive. Get creative, innovative and entrepreneurial. Gain momentum by channeling your creativity and ideas effectively. Today is the third day of Lakshmi and the sixth day of the Navaratri festivities. How can you extract some greater nourishment from your experiences today? Themes of intense power and emotion and the storms from Rudra's energy, continue through Friday until Moon shifts into Punarvasu nakshatra late in the day. Mercury moves to Pisces, its sign of debilitation, at 12:53 PST, joining Sun and Ketu here. The trail of planets that has been passing through Pisces over the past weeks continues. As each planet passes through this sign of release and surrender, it is getting restructured by the touch of Ketu. Sun (ego and soul) is getting Ketu's transformational effects right now. Mercury is next! Our mental bodies will be going through many shifts and changes over the course of the next two weeks. Fast moving Mercury will be keeping us on our toes. Look for themes in your mental/imaginal body that connect to death, release and letting go. Using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) with this process of release will be vital. As we move into the final days of the Navaratri celebrations and the first day of three dedicated to Maha Saraswati, it's time to reflect on the events of the previous days. Look for themes and stories that connect to your personal mythology. The goddesses are supporting your change and transformation right now. Everything that is arriving at this time has a purpose, a meaning, a lesson for you to learn. Look carefully and take in all the messages. Softening arrives on Saturday as Moon moves to its own sign, Cancer, midday. It joins retrograde Jupiter here which offers a gentle landing. Drishti from Mars invites in passion and power as well as a devotional quality that connects us to the Divine Mothers. We may feel a heavy sigh of relief from the week. Let your exhale be poignant and slow. Receive nourishment from wisdom and knowledge right now and absorb it deeply. Let your heart wisdom speak and share its awareness with you. Find clarity through balance. It's the second day dedicated to Maha Saraswati and the 8th day of Navaratri. On this auspicious day, Ram Navami, or Lord Rama's birthday, is also celebrated. Rejoice in the power and bravery of your dharma. Take a courageous action step on your path. Let the light of your soul lead the way. Sunday marks the final day of Navaratri which ends with one last day in celebration of Maha Saraswati. What is the nourishing wisdom you are gathering at this time? What insights, revelations and desires have stirred you over the past nine days? These are powerful messages for your months to come. These are the stirrings of Shakti within you, the seeds of desire you must plant. Be present to your own unfolding story. The majority of Sunday, Moon transits through Pushya nakshatra and themes of nourishment and support continue. Let your self receive wisdom, guidance and fulfillment. Let your heart be filled with hope and gladness. What do you wish to plant in your garden? Put these seeds in the ground! Let the feeling of abundance be prominent today. This is how we manifest. Late in the evening, the mental body might distract us. Stay connected to your heart wisdom, the feelings of nourishment you are cultivating in your life. Don't be swayed. Let the tenacity of your heart carry you through Monday. My Jyotish Basics Classes have begun! Don't miss out on these transformational and healing classes. Registration closes March 29th! Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. With the major shifts of last week behind us, we see another wave of change arriving late in the week. New Moon on Friday in conjunction with a total solar eclipse, followed by the beginning of Vasant Navaratri on Saturday, invites in deep release. This is a very inward time- don't be fooled by the intensity and chaos forcing movement and change! The best use of our time is to turn within, gathering our strength and resources, seeking clarity and stability. A deeper external cycle is to come, but don't rush it. Monday begins with an interesting focus on the Moon. Three retrograde planets will give drishti to Moon who transits Capricorn. Retrograde Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu (he always moves in reverse) provoke themes from the past. Our efforts, heart and home, as well as a need for renewed clarity and structure surface. Allow yourself to expand into new territory and become aware of possible resources as you do so. Stay awake and open to receive what arrives. Don't forget to say thank you. Rise and shine on Tuesday. Take lemons and make them into lemonade. Keep on the sunny side of life and work with gaining momentum with your ideas, goals and career endeavors. Moon has moved to the 14th tithi by Wednesday, inviting in a deepening inward experience as we near Amavasya, or the new Moon. Satabisha nakshatra is awakened by the Moon today and we may notice a harsher edge arrive on the mental and emotional body levels. This critical edge can help us bring awareness to our needs. What is working? What is not? How can these inner challenges help us find new pathways of being? Take your challenges into change and solutions. Seek healing through renewal. Have you signed up for my *free* Jyotish Basics Class on Saturday, March 21st? Don't miss out on this free class! I will be sharing how to deepen your self awareness through tracking the Moon and transits. I'm excited to share my favorite tips, tricks and resources with you! Sign up for details. Thursday invites us to deepen our dance with emotions and mind. What is our relationship with the emotional body and the mental body? Can we navigate their differences consciously? It may feel that we are balancing opposing forces today. Keep one foot firmly grounded and let the other prepare for a big leap forward. We are each stepping into very new territory at this time with an invitation to open doors of possibility. Pay attention for clues. Your mind may be telling you one thing, but listening to your emotional body and intuition are truly most important. As Moon arrives into the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waning cycle, we will be feeling pulls to our depths. Let self inquiry and soft listening be a priority. The new Moon arrives on Friday, March 20 at 04:37 CDT while Moon is in Pisces and Uttara Bhadra Nakshatra. Spring equinox (northern hemisphere) starts today! A Solar Eclipse occurs with the new Moon beginning at 02:41 CDT and ends at 06:50 CDT. Eclipses represent the shadowed self, our inner darkness that must come to the light. The solar eclipse brings shadows on the Sun, the ego and the masculine, ultimately our inner power. In the Vedic tradition, this is not a time to take risks, start new endeavors, or to over-exert. It is a time, however, of turning inward, of meditation and contemplation and a time to take extra care of the physical body with good routine etc. This eclipse marks a delicate two week period between eclipses which will end with a lunar eclipse and full Moon on April 4th. Traditionally starting new endeavors during this delicate eclipse period is not advised. Want to know more about this new Moon, its theme and impact on you? My 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar gives you this and more!! Get the details. Friday brings a sense of juggling multiple tasks. We may feel urgency to make change. Anger, frustrations and overwhelm may set in. Be diligent with the emotions that are emerging and take notes. What themes are you noticing from your personal mythology? What are you ready to change in order to create something different? This is a time of deep release and re-structuring. Expand towards what nourishes you. The nine day celebration of the Divine Mother, Vasant Navaratri, begins Saturday with Moon in Pisces conjunct Mars, Sun and Ketu. All four planets receive drishti from retrograde Jupiter and Rahu, intensifying the feeling of being expanded and pulled in multiple directions. Balance is a key reminder today. Spend time meditating, getting embodied and taking time to restore and relax. Do less and accomplish more- even though it will feel extra challenging. Use today for total rejuvenation. Read more about Vasant Navaratri and how to make the most of this sacred time. I'll be sharing a 10 Day Self Care Challenge in my newsletter in the coming days for some extra resources. Make sure you're on my list. Join me for my *free* Jyotish Basics Class on Saturday, March 21st! I'll be sharing my favorite tips, tricks and resources to help you track the Moon in order to help you deepen your self tracking process. Sign up for details. Moon joins Venus in Aries on Sunday. Start your day with the intention of restoration and release. Use the latter half of your day to connect in meaningful ways, to deepen and transform your relationships. Expect some bumps and challenges with this process, but trust the re-structuring process occurring right now. All of our relationships- with self and with others- are shifting at this time. Mars moves to the edge of Pisces and prepares to jump into the tricky gandanta (junction point) between Pisces and Aries. A deep transformation of our warrior nature is being confronted at this time. This placement requires surrender and an intention of allowing in new possibilities. Let go of your agenda for now. Sunday is the second day of Navaratri and the second of three dedicated to the fierce goddess Maha Durga. Now is the time to be using your inner power to let go of and release the parts of your self that are no longer serving your highest self. This theme of relationships caries us through Monday. Be mindful about how you are connecting, and who you are connecting with. My next *free* Jyotish Basics Class is March 21st.
