Everyone that comes to me for a session wants to know one of these things: What is my life purpose? How can I make more money? What can I do about my relationship issues? The hardest part of my job as a jyotish coach is not giving advise or looking at someone's chart and seeing what the challenges are for a person's life. I look at the karmic map and there are the struggles, the issues and challenges staring at me. Finding what isn't working, is not the hard part. As a jyotishi, the challenge I face consistently is giving resources, tools and embodiment guidance, but instead watching the client choose not to take these vital action steps. Watching a client refuse to take action in order to move through their weaknesses and obstacles is hard for me! Especially since I know that some very different approaches are needed in their life, in order for their desires to actually manifest. This requires my deepest surrender and detachment. It's true, many people just want to be told what to do and they want some magic pill to take care of it for them. They want a quick fix. A mantra, or yagya (which can often be valuable no doubt.) Or they want to know that their problems will just go away once Saturn isn't transiting over their Moon etc. Many clients hope that their "soul mate" will magically appear once a relationship transit arrives. But the reality is, it really isn't that simple. We get what we are ready for. What we are prepared for. What we have created space for. Money, love and creativity are all ruled by Venus- and rightfully so. These three powerful factors in our lives can bring joy or misery, abundance, or little more than a drop. Money, love and creativity are all determined by our ability to give and receive, or quite literally, the amount of flow and fluidity we are working with; the fluidity we are able to use and able to harness. This is why Venus is also connected to water, the most vital life-giving resource for us. Without water in the physical body, we have death. Death is lack of life of course, so the more vitality and life-giving forces we invite into our beings, the more life, fluidity and flow we experience as a result. The pelvis (and organs therein) as well as the second chakra, are the physical containers of money, love and creativity. If we are feeling a lack in any one of these areas, we need to address the physical issues connected to them as well. But the first chakra, and the body parts included in the first chakra (every thing from the pubic bone down to the feet), is perhaps the most vital part of the manifestation process. My favorite money quote is: Money wants clarity, purpose and flow! These are the domains of the first and second chakras! Contrary to popular belief, it isn't through thinking your desires that they become manifest. And contrary to popular belief it isn't through your meditation practice, your affirmations, your positive thinking, or anything else that is a part of your mental body process, that will actually help you materialize the intangible into the tangible. If you want to bring your desires into the material, you have to work with the first and second chakras (the lower, base, chakras) which are intimately connected with the material world. These chakras are all about being here, right now, in a physical form. Our body, our grounding, our actual physical connection to our life, is the realm of the first chakra. If you aren't in your body, embodied, you can not, and will not, be able to get your ideas and visions to manifest into the material world. We quite literally manifest through our body! This reality is reiterated through the story of lord Brahma creating the universe from his navel. He reminds us that we have the ability to create our lives- which is why he and his consort Saraswati rule over creativity and the power of the arts. They remind us that it is our creativity that is literally our most potent source of knowledge and wisdom for this existence. Want more money, love and creativity? Get into your body wisdom and your emotional body wisdom. Manifestation happens when we are intimately connected with our feeling level, our felt senses, the emotional body wisdom and the intuition. This is why I am so passionate about a body-centered approach to therapy, one that uses somatic wisdom, while also drawing upon the expressive arts as a resource for intimate exploration, and harnessing our innate, creative wisdom. It is also why I start my clients off with embodiment step number one, the three level check in. We must get more embodied if we want our dreams to manifest. We must work with the body wisdom and our intuitive knowing in order to create from our most primal sense of self. This is where we tap into our innate creativity. Creativity is actually a vital ingredient for the money and the love to start flowing. This is the gift of the embodiment resources and the art therapy techniques I work with; they potently activate the creative and physical channels. This stimulates the flow and fluidity of Venus, which we need in our lives in order to be more nourished on an ongoing basis. Don't think your desires. Feel them. Move them. Create with them. Go beyond your imagination. Gather your desires from your dreams, from your sense of intuitive knowing, and move them into existence through your body. Use your jyotish chart as your map to get you to the wisdom you need to unlock your shadows, disappointments and challenges. But don't stop there. In fact, if you stop at just the "knowing" of what your issues are, you won't move beyond them or learn to work with them differently. If you really want lasting change, and to create a different life for yourself, you have to take action steps that will literally help you re-create your life from the ground, up. From your feet to your head. From your first chakra and your second chakras first, then all the way up to your 7th chakra! I'm very passionate about my system, my tools and the synergy of modalities that I use of course! But I'm even more passionate about sharing them with you, and watching you grow, flourish, and thrive as you re-create your life over and over again! Want more support building your wealth now?

Saturn in Scorpio: The Depth of Our Transformation Saturn is a powerful planet, one that dishes up our karmas to us- but not on a silver platter. He is our greatest suffering and sorrows, but ultimately our enlightenment. He moves slowly and methodically, taking 2.5 years to move through each sign. What Saturn offers us is the depth of our being, our humanness, whether through experiencing the human form, the physical body, or through the reactions of our actions. Life might be easier without him, but it would truly lack depth, lessons learned, and the necessity for consistent effort which is necessary for us to grow and evolve. As per my article, Ripening Slowly with Saturn: "Saturn brings both the blessings and the curses of life- as he gives his wisdom only through the slow ripening of time, effort, suffering, loss and age. It takes time to learn the deepest, hardest and most important wisdom of life. This wisdom has to be worked for and requires effort to receive. Thus, Saturn pays us in enlightenment for the work, effort, steady actions, that we make over a long period of time. If we don't adhere to his rules for wisdom, he will make us suffer the consequences." Saturn is worth studying, working with, not against. Being very familiar with his ways is vital for life and living. This will cause less suffering, less misery, fewer health issues, and less depression and despondency. For on the other side of suffering is great alliance with Nature and her wisdom, as well as the sacred Laws of the Universe. This is one of the gifts that Saturn grants us when we are in alignment with Source. As Saturn moves into Scorpio on November 2nd 2014, our deepest transformations have the opportunity to take place. These aren't the easy kinds of transformations though. They won't be on the surface, but will be from our very old, unconscious existence. Our transformations will be on the level of old karmas, past vows, ancestral ties and lineage bonds. The changes we make over the next 2.5 years will depend on our willingness to change, to open to our shadows, our darkness and weaknesses. Scorpio does not pertain to frivolity, but instead to our core principles and beliefs, our hidden and mysterious senses, and to the magic and secrecy of existence. Because Scorpio is directly connected to the eighth house and all meanings of the eighth house, it requires an understanding of both Scorpio and 8th house matters. My How to Love A Scorpio article illustrates this double meaning well: "On the positive spectrum of things, the 8th house is linked to transformations and transcendence, as well as mystical and occult knowledge and of course our sexual nature. When life gets tough, we naturally get tougher; which is the essence of the eighth house. It forces us to surrender. To disarm and let go. We scream "uncle!" at the top of our lungs and wait in our self made prison for relief to arrive. And if it arrives, we are determined to change, re-direct ourselves, to rise above and out of the trenches. The eight house is indeed hidden, unseen, and thus relates to the unseen and hidden realms- both internally and externally. Our pain after all is solely connected to our shadows. A Scorpio is determined to shed its shadowed self which is why Ketu (the "planet" of liberation and moksha) is considered exalted here." Not everyone is as familiar with their 8th house and their Scorpio nature as they need to be. Not everyone is willing to look intimately at their shadows and darkness in order to bring greater light to it. Not everyone is determined to transform and transcend. For those that are, this Saturn and Scorpio cycle will be much easier, much more helpful. Your willingness will determine how you emerge from this Saturn cycle in 2.5 years. Scorpio is the sign that the Moon is considered debilitated in. Moon is our emotional body, our sensitivity, our receptivity, creativity, and our ability to change, re-direct and re-generate ourselves. Moon in Scorpio heightens the sensitivity of the emotional body and forces us to address its needs, our emotional messages and patterns. This will be a potent cycle for our emotional body, gaining more wisdom from its messages, and moving into greater alignment with our emotional wisdom. With Jupiter exalted in Cancer for the first nine months of this transit, we get a heightened dose of emotional body messaging and perhaps a greater ability to listen, act and change as a result. Jupiter is the planet of wisdom and is exalted in Cancer, which directly connects to our heart center and our emotional body; he's here until mid 2015. The wisdom we have access to at the beginning of this Saturn in Scorpio transit- as a result of exalted Jupiter- has the ability to carry us through the remainder of of this 2.5 year transit. So diligently listen to the emotional body messages being offered to you until July of 2015. Read more about Jupiter in Cancer. As with any growth in our lives, it is directly determined by how much space we create for the newness to enter. Since Scorpio and the 8th house have to do with losses, letting go, deaths and release, our ability and willingness to let go, release and remove what is not serving our highest Self, will determine what we can later invite in and allow into our lives for increased fulfillment and joy. If there's no space for the new to enter, you won't be able to receive. Again, the greater your willingness to let go, change and transform, the greater your ability to invite in new possibilities for yourself. The depth of your transformation for this cycle is directly connected to your resistance to change and release, as is the amount of suffering you will experience. Those who embrace the changes that are coming for them will have an easier time than those who resist the changes. Saturn is a non-negotiable planet, his agenda rules. However, we do have some options about how much we choose to suffer- which is largely based on our resistance to it. Less resistance to suffering, equals less suffering. This is yet another reminder to get very intimate with your emotions, to cultivate a deeper relationship with them, to invite in the feeling level of your life in new ways. Cultivating presence, compassion and creating a safe container for your emotional expression is vital. For those of us who are extra sensitive, this Saturn cycle will likely increase our sensitivity, so be mindful of your needs and self care. Not sure if you're sensitive? Read this. Need more resources for befriending your emotions? Here are some tips. None of this is meant to scare you, but as a double Scorpio myself, and one that has lived to tell the tale of Scorpio transiting through my own 8th house (and currently going through another sade sati) I can tell you that this transit demands your attention and intention. For those who have been floating by, resisting their biggest life lessons, this transit will not allow you to stay in ignorance any longer. The depth that every Scorpio knows so well, will usher in an increase of depth and awareness for the world that has not yet been seen before. We will each get a new look at our darkness and receive opportunities to transform our shadows. Get your flashlights out! Looking at The Next 2.5 Years Ahead Saturn shifts into Scorpio officially on November 2nd 2014, however we may notice shifts well before this. Once Saturn shifts into its sandhi placement (the gap between Libra and Scorpio at just over 28 degrees) the portal opens and the "Saturn in Scorpio" experience is ushered in. This opening begins on October 15th. Once Saturn officially arrives into Scorpio, it will still be in young degrees until it is beyond the 2 degree range (around November 19th). This is considered a delicate time, but also potent. Be diligent with your embodiment work at this time and seek intuitive wisdom. Felt senses will be higher at this time, as well as sensitivity in general. Be mindful of self care and be sure to take time for deep listening and presence with your emotional body wisdom. Use the 3 level check in to harness this wisdom. As I mentioned above, for the first nine months of this transit, Jupiter is also exalted, which increases our ability to access emotional body wisdom and awakening through Jupiter's energy. With Jupiter giving his gaze (drishti) to Saturn, we get greater balance, increased harmony and insights from the softer more gentile energy of Jupiter. From Saturn's position in Scorpio, he will give his gaze to three, seven and ten houses away from him. Look for Scorpio in your chart and then see what houses he will be looking at. This will give you an idea of what areas of your life you will be working with directly, and what Saturn will be activating for you. From his placement in Scorpio, he will give his drishti to Capricorn (his own sign), Taurus, and Leo. Saturn begins his six month retrograde motion on March 14th 2015. This is an event of re-visiting our structures, support systems- both internally and externally. The returning process is happening on an emotional body level which will demand our complete attention- especially as Jupiter continues to transit through the heart-centered emotional water sign of Cancer. The inner work that we commit to at this time will be lasting, deeply rooted change. This will bring transformation on the physical and emotional body levels Once Jupiter moves into Leo, July of 2015, Saturn will no longer receive the soft gaze of Jupiter. Instead, Saturn will be giving his more stern gaze to Jupiter in Leo. This will increase the edge, the effort, and the work required of us. It will put the emphasis back on Saturn, instead of the balancing effect Jupiter can have on Saturn's energy. Rahu and Ketu shift into Leo and Aquarius on January 30th of 2016. This ushers in a new cycle of shadow work for us. Saturn will then give his drishti to Rahu and we get the "Rudra effect" happening within Leo. Shifts, changes, upheavals, transitions on a bigger scale occur. Ego issues will play a role in our transformations and our emotional work. Be diligent with these themes as you work with your shadows and healing. August 18th of 2017, Rahu and Ketu shift again. This time they move into Cancer and Capricorn. Rahu gives his gaze now to Saturn who has moved to the edge of Scorpio. The Rudra energy of change and movement continues, but with a more intensified shadowed effect. The ultimate lessons of Saturn in Scorpio come to their peak at this time, so be looking for cosmic reminders and messages during this time period. Shortly thereafter, Saturn moves out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius on October 26th, 2017, finishing his transit through the transformational sign of Scorpio. Saturn's Transformational Effects By Sign I've indicated above the overall themes, general tendencies, and effects of Saturn's passage through Scorpio. Though it is impossible to say what the unique effects of this transit will be on you individually without looking at your personal jyotish chart, I can give you a more targeted idea by looking at each rising sign. Below, I give the general effects of Saturn's transit through Scorpio based on rising sign and the effects he will have three, seven and ten houses away. For an individualized assessment, please contact me for a personal session. Aries: Saturn transits through your eighth house of past- past karmas, past lives, past experiences. This is a hidden house, one that brings us our greatest struggles, challenges and haunts, however, it is the house that offers the biggest changes and transformations as well. These transformations will effect your career, your offerings to the world, as well as your wealth, nourishment and voice. Children, creativity, passion and education will also be effected. Work with self expression, overcoming your oldest, deepest shadows and the parts of your self that are keeping you in the dark. Relationships play a role in your transformational process. Emotions will be your most important resource and tool of information. Taurus: Your main focus is on relationships and the effects the "other" has on you. Transformation comes through recognizing who you are in relation to your partners, clients/students, family, friends and all your mirrors. The "other" is your greatest guru, teacher, for the coming Saturn cycle. Work with boundaries, co-dependency, and what your innate gifts and talents are- irrespective of giving or doing. You'll be working with the bindings the ego has on you and your emotional body. This is terribly important healing work for you to do, and essential for your personal liberation and your dharmic path. Gemini: Your willingness to work on your bad habits will determine the amount of transformation you achieve during this transit. Heal and be healed. Your personal growth can be of benefit to others, so share it and be transparent about your shadows. Use your past to courageously push you into your shadows, and the places within you that most need light and fresh air. The effort you put into your personal growth will show up as greater freedom, moksha and liberation and will ultimately serve your life purpose. Time away on long distance voyages, at ashrams, and in solitude, will help your transformation take place. Use creativity, communication and the arts courageously and take bold action steps. Children, passions and education are beneficial, while friends and monetary gains take extra effort. Cancer: Passion, creativity, children and education are the main players in your transformation process. Relationships are effected and require your consistent effort and commitment. The "other" is also enlivened to give you a powerful mirror for your growth. There can be gains and losses through friendships and money so work consciously with the waves. Speech, voice and self expression play a role in your nourishment and support. Emotional body work is a non-negotiable part of your effort for this time period. Career requires your diligent efforts as well as your past karmas and shadow work. Leo: Saturn will have you working directly with heart, home and emotional body wisdom. Your mother will play a role in your process and your transformation. Looking at parts of your shadow that are tangled into the emotions will be an important part of your process. Who are you without your giving, sharing, leading and offering? Heal and be healed. Let your work in the world be a resource for your personal transformation. Who are you becoming and what is your intention for this change? Who and what is holding you back? If the shadows and haunts were removed from your heart, who would you be? Creativity, courage and the arts are well worth your effort while dharma, teaching and gurus require extra attention and intention. Virgo: Creativity, courage, communication and the arts are hugely transformational for you as Saturn transits your third house. Seek teachers, gurus and guides to help you with your journey and dharma. Teach, advise and offer your wisdom to others as a means of personal growth and development. Let your passions, children and education inform your growth and desires. Long distance journeys, solitude and time on retreats and in ashrams will serve your overall liberation process. Wealth, nourishment and support come with courage and effort. Your shadows and overcoming your karmic past require the most effort, but will be the most worthy of your time. Libra: Nourishment, wealth and self sufficiency are your main areas of transformation during this transit. The past informs your efforts, so work diligently with old shadows, stories and limiting beliefs. Emotional body, home and heart, can provide greater stability with your consistent efforts. Gains, friendships and wealth fluctuate, providing you with new awareness through the ups and downs. Learn and grow through creativity, children and educational opportunities. Gains come through self growth and self effort. Relationships, however, may require extra effort and willingness on your part. Scorpio: Saturn will have you changing from inside out as he transits through your first house. This 2.5 year transit marks a fresh Saturn cycle for you. This transit takes your ultimate courage and creative efforts and is a beginning for you on many levels. Let the arts, the hands, and communications inform your process. Work directly with relationships and what the mirror of "other" is showing you. Take all of these pieces of awareness and put them into your career. It's time for you to start sharing, working, and being seen in new and different ways. Your past efforts will start paying off, but not without the personal growth and healing efforts you are accustomed to. The work never stops as you know well, but let it help you re-invent yourself from the ground up. Sagittarius: Use long distance travel, time alone, retreats and ashram living for this transformational time period as Saturn transits your 12th house. This is an inward time, so use it for introspection, meditation and inner growth. Work with your bad habits, and seek healing support. Nourishment, wealth, and support issues are important places to put attention for your journey. Seek the wisdom and guidance of teachers, gurus and guides and also share your wisdom with others who can benefit from your inner resources and rich inner life. This impacts your dharma and what you are hear to do in the world. Friends and money become important assets, while children, passion, education and creativity require your greatest efforts and consistent actions. Capricorn: Friendships and monetary gains ebb and flow as Saturn transit your 11th house. These are your main areas of focus during this transit. These themes will insist on your efforts and will also help you learn the most about yourself in the process. Children, creativity, passion and education provide greater awareness. Transformations and shadows that involve your ego play a major role in your overall changes and growth, but will also be the hardest part of yourself to address. Let the old stories and paradigms tell you where you need to look more deeply at your shadows and haunts. Wherever you are struggling the most is where you are resisting the changes and transformations the most. Aquarius: Saturn's transit through your career house encourages major transformations in your work life, your dharma, and your offerings to the world. You will be changing what you offer, how you offer it and also who you offer it to. Work with liberation, alone time, ashram life, and spiritual knowledge in order to aid you in this process. Heart, home and emotional body, as well as mother, are main contributing factors in your personal growth and development. Work directly with relationship matters, concerns and struggles- they will require your attention and focus as well. Teach, share, advise and get support from gurus and teachers. Your communication, creativity and artistry will require extra effort, but will be worth it. Pisces: Saturn transits your 9th house of wisdom, dharma and higher learning. This is a transformational time for your path and purpose, who you are and why you are here. Use creativity, the hands, communication, the fine arts and your courageous action steps for increasing your growth and understanding about your path. This is a time of healing others and being healed as well. Work with your ego, bad habits and the parts of yourself that refuse to be vulnerable. Friends and time alone can be valuable for your process, while money, relationships, and past karmas require your greatest efforts. Because Saturn is such a slow moving planet, one that can bring us our greatest struggles, his changes are considered major planetary transits. It is advised to have a yagya done for such a poignant shift. Find out more details about yagyas and how to sign up for this extra planetary support: Read more about yagyas. See the current group yagya offerings and individual planetary yagya offerings from Puja.net. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Moon is waxing now. There's been so much movement in the planets in the last few weeks, we are likely all feeling a bit wind swept! The biggest planetary shift of all takes place this week on Sunday, November 2nd when Saturn shifts into Scorpio for the next 2.5 years. Read all about it here.
It is actually quite a delicate time for many- with a lot of intensity coming from multiple angles. Remember to go slow, be vigilant with your self care, and give others some extra compassion. In light of the transformational times upon us, it's time to be bold and clarify your path and purpose. I'm sharing a free class this Saturday in order to help you find your way and affirm your dharma. Get the details here and sign up. Monday, October 27th Today's Intention: Tame your wild horses! Moon transits Jyeshtha nakshatra and Indra, as well as Mercury rule the day. Indra heightens our senses, as well as our sensory sensitivity. He reminds us of the strength we can gain when we can control our senses and learn to channel them more directly. This is power. With Sun and Moon debilitated simultaneously, our sensitivity is more extreme. Pay attention to your subtle needs and listen to your intuition. Make sure your mental body doesn't lead you astray. Use a three level check for awareness. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 18:37 CDT, inviting in some disruptions and chaos. Moon joins Mars here and intensifies the changes. Saturn's drishti on both Mars and Moon increase the pressure and force. There is wisdom coming in the back door with with this calamity and restructuring, so look for the gifts that are arriving. The more space you can clear, the more space there will be for the new. Tuesday, October 28th Today's Intention: Till your soil, pull up weeds, and prepare your inner grounds for new seeds to be planted. Moon transits Sagittarius and conjuncts the fire planet, Mars, while also receiving drishti from Saturn. There's heat and pressure on our emotional body right as a result. There are also blessings from the divine mother available. Look for her gems. As Moon transits Mula nakshatra today, ruled by the adharmic goddess herself, Nirrti, a certain force arrives. Mars is also transiting Mula currently which adds to the intensity. Nirrti's job is to break, uproot, disrupt and dishevel. She invites in chaos and calamity, turmoil and challenges that can take us off course. There is also great wisdom available here, however. Wherever we crack, light can enter. Whatever we loose, makes space for something new. Whatever we let go of, invites in new possibilities. Clearing, cleaning and purification are important today. Make an offering on your altar or do some act of seva, selfless service. Be devotional, in gratitude, and give thanks for your blessings. Moon moves to PurvaAshada at 17:56 CDT and Apas takes over. The water goddess invites in sensing and feeling, nourishment through her flowing grace, her emotional body wisdom, and offers us an ability to rejuvenate. The cleaning and clearing of Nirrti, prepares us for the purification and healing that comes with Apas. Relax in a warm bath, be near water, or dance and allow the body to move fluidly. Wednesday, October 29th Today's Intention: Allow your internal waters to flow. Go with the flowing tides. Moon transits PurvaAshada the majority of the day, moving away from close conjunction with Mars. Apas and Venus help us find more fluidity and grace today, but offer firm guidance in the process. Apas is the water goddess and though water can be gentle, flowing and calming, it can also be a powerful force that gives dramatic shifts and changes. PurvaAshada is actually an Ugra nakshatra- one that is fierce, severe and aggressive. This gives a certain power and force that can bring subtle or big shifts. There is however great sensitivity available today simultaneously. Tender emotions, tears and internal flooding may arrive. Let as much water flow as you need. Let the inner rivers and currents move you, cleanse you and offer a sense of clearing. Use physical body movement and embodiment practices to get your inner waters moving. Moon moves to UttarAshada at 16:58 CDT and the Vishvadeva's are ushered in. Righteousness and "doing the right thing" offer us some wisdom for questions or concerns we may be turning over. Dream your dreams and dream well. Moon moves into Capricorn at 22:41 CDT. Thursday, October 30th Today's Intention: Step into yes and invite in possibilities, hope and change. Moon transits Capricorn and UttarAshada nakshatra, receiving drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. The Vishvadevas, or all-gods, remind us of strong character traits, doing good, and overcoming our obstacles through dharma and honorable action steps. Today we are given the opportunity to shift from struggle into ease, if we accept and surrender into willingness. What are you resisting? What are you making more difficult than it should be? What can you release in order to lighten your own load and invite in possibility, hope, and a brighter future. Just say yes for a change. Have you signed up for my free Dharma Class yet? Moon moves to Sravana at 15:46 CDT and Vishnu's expansion brings openings and depth to our awareness. Friday, October 31st Today's Intention: Step, sparkle and shine. Dance your dreams into reality. Moon transits through Sravana, still receiving drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. Vishnu's expansive nature invites in openings, space and good fortune for those willing to take action steps. Sravana is symbolized by three footprints, representing the three steps Vishnu took through earth, sky and heaven. Two of these steps were visible and the third was beyond the tangible realms. Vishnu is expansive and all-pervasive like akasha (space). Both akasha and Vishnu are connected to dharma (which is passed through knowledge that is heard, thanks to akasha). Use the wisdom of the day to affirm and confirm your dharma, your path, your purpose. Take action steps that will bring you closer to your brilliance, your precious life. Moon moves to Dhanishta at 14:22 CDT, inviting in the Vasu Devas and an extra layer of Mars. It's time to shine brightly and use your brilliance to attract what you need. Use your potent, creative energy to create a life worth living. The best way to do this is through embodiment. Use a three level check in to harness your inner awareness. Not sure where you are going or what you are doing? Sign up for my free Dharma Class! Saturday, November 1st Today's Intention: Express yourself. Share your gifts and sing your songs. Shine your brightest! Moon transits Dhanishta nakshatra, moving into Aquarius at 01:37 am CDT. Aquarius is a sign connected to the 11th house of gains and losses, and is co-ruled by Saturn and Rahu. Aquarius brings us the silver lining, the flip side, awareness beyond the surface. Use this as a resource today. The rulers of Dhanishta are the Vasu Devas, who bring us wealth, prosperity and the ability to shine. The shadowed side of this is judgement, an overly critical nature, and seeing wealth as the source of evil. Where are these shadows lurking within you? How can you flip the light switch on them and turn them into a gift, an asset, with more consciousness and awareness? Not sure where you are going or what you are doing? Sign up for my free Dharma Class! Sign up for my free Dharma Class! Sign up for my free Dharma Class! As Moon moves into Satabisha at 12:49 pm CDT, we may notice a shift. The judgement of Varuna may amplify and the critic may come out to dance with us. Dance with your shadows intelligently. The immense knowledge and awareness of Satabisha can cause our sixth chakras and the mental body to go into overdrive. This is a reminder to soften into the heart, invite in the felt senses and the emotional body wisdom, so that you can feel your life, not think your life. You invite in your greatness with this softening. With Mercury and Rahu so close right now, this reminder is extra important! Sunday, November 2nd Today's Intention: Release and let go. Inhale. Exhale. It's all an act of balance. Saturn makes his monumental transit into Scorpio at exactly 06:00 am CDT and will be less than a degree until November 11th. This heightens the delicate nature of Saturn and it's strongly advised to be working diligently with self care and embodiment practices while he is still sandhi, in the gap. This lasts until November 19th. Read my full article on this 2.5 year transit of Saturn through Scorpio. Moon transits into Purvabhadrapada at 10:10 am CDT and Ajaikapada steps into our day. He is connected to tapas, rituals and purification. He is a son of Vishvakarma (the celestial architect of action) and is considered a Rudra- one who can create big movement and change. Ajaikapada is also understood as an incarnation of Shiva, Lord of the Dance. He is stepping, dancing, balancing, one foot at a time. He can balance impossible feats and allows us to experience beyond the material plane of existence through release and letting go. Monday, November 3rd Today's Intention: Loosen the grip you have on yourself. Lighten your load. Moon moves into Pisces at 02:55 am CDT, joining Ketu there, while receiving drishti from Jupiter, Mercury and Rahu. Then Moon moves into Uttarabhadrapada at 08:30 am. This awakens Ahirbudhnya, another son of Vishvakarma. He is considered the serpent of the deep, and rules over the nether regions, the hidden realms, and our subconscious mind. He is also a Rudra like his brother Ajaikapada, but he removes misfortune and can grant enjoyment, refreshments and delights. The symbol here is the back legs of a funeral cot, exemplifying the final release, letting go. Fruitful endeavors can be granted, or old struggles can be released. Work with the subconscious mind today and unravel, loosen and release the old tangled webs holding you back from your goals! Venus moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 19:52 CDT. Alliances, relationships and the ability to co-create with others, proves especially valuable and important in the coming weeks. Work diligently with partnerships, team building, and giving gratitude for the resources others bring into your life. We accomplish nothing alone. Invite others into your world and accomplish more! Vishaka reminds us that giving and receiving makes the world go round! Mercury nears the edge of Virgo, its sign of exaltation, and is now sandhi. Both Saturn (physical body) and Mercury (mental body) are sandhi right now as Moon (emotional body) nears Ketu (our awakened shadows). Get embodied and stay grounded in the moment as much as possible right now. It's too easy to slip out of the body and get lost in the mind and thoughts. Moon is waxing and in the 12th tithi (Moon phase) now. Full Moon this week on the 6th in Aries! Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. With the delicate gap between lunar and solar eclipses behind us, we prepare for the next big cosmic occurrence: Saturn moving into Scorpio for the next 2.5 years. Saturn officially moves into Scorpio on November 2nd (this week!) This is a dramatic event in many ways since Saturn is the slowest moving planet and represents our karmas and suffering. I'll be sharing an article about this transformational Saturn cycle later this week.
Moon is waxing now. Full Moon will be in Aries on November 6th while in Bharani nakshatra. This waxing cycle is imperative for taking intentional steps forward, preparing for the ultimate clearing out of the old and and outworn in our lives. More on this in my next Full Moon Wisdom article. Horoscopes for the Waxing Moon Cycle {October 23rd to November 6th} *Horoscopes are based on your Vedic rising sign. You can also check your Moon and Sun signs for further insight. Do the same with your Navamsa signs for further clarity. Do not use these horoscopes with your “Western Sign” as there is likely no correlation. These horoscopes are meant to be used as a broad overview of the current transits and obviously do not address the specifics of an individual’s unique chart. Aries: There's still some healing to do and some clarity to achieve with finances, creativity and desires. Extra self care is necessary as your mind may feel overwhelmed and make you feel extra sensitive. Be careful of burnout! Relationships may feel extra taxing and burdensome. Balance is imperative right now- which starts with effective and healthy boundaries. Communication becomes an important factor in your relationships in the coming weeks. Saturn shifts into your 8th house for the next 2.5 years, bringing past karmas back to you for greater balance. Diligence is required with your emotional body for this next cycle. Depression and extra sensitivity are likely. This is a very transformational time for you, though it may bring some discomfort and old haunts. You are learning to go slowly and gently. Taurus: You're still doing some relationship clean up, some intensive healing work, and churning up old karmic dust in the process. It's likely uncomfortable and intense, so focus on pausing and deep listening, on radical self care and relationship balance. As Saturn moves into your 7th house for the next 2.5 years, balance becomes your ultimate motto. Balance of self and relationships, and ultimately healthy boundaries, become as necessary as breathing. There will be courage involved and much transformation through changing relationships. Part of this is connected to healthy boundaries, and realizing who in your life nourishes you and who does not. The real issue is your own clarity about what brings support and vitality into your life and what does not serve your highest good. You are still conflicted about some of this. As Saturn moves to your 6th house for the next 2.5 years, you get a new chance at healing old wounds, working directly with your bad habits that are holding you back, and debts- both financial and karmic. Start now. Cancer: Your creative mind is still ablaze. You are idea central! The past few weeks have brought a re-visiting of old projects and creative innovations. As Mercury goes direct on the 25th, your projects might move forward and gain momentum. Your heart throbs for connection and romance, but there's imbalance still palpable. It's your emotional body that needs a few more tweaks and healing balms. Balance is coming. Once Saturn shifts into your 5th house, you will start a cycle of great emotional awareness. It won't come without some tears and struggles, but the transformations will be well worth it in the long run. For now, let your creativity float you. Leo: Courage and creativity are driving forces for you right now. These should stoke your financial embers and help income, creative flow and possibility. You are hungry, ravenous almost, for nourishment of all kinds. Pick your food choices, environments and experiences wisely. Go for the highest. As Saturn shifts into your 4th house for the next 2.5 years, your home and heart go through vast transformation. The ultimate digestion and assimilation of your life takes place- with your effort. Working with your emotions directly and intentionally will be key. That willingness alone will set the tone for this cycle. Resistance to your past haunts will cause great suffering, depression and anger. Let the old wounds out of the closet and get them some fresh air. Virgo: The foreign and unusual are on your mind. Are you obsessing? Losing focus? Unable to stay flexible? With Rahu in your head still, you need to remember your resiliency, your ability to surrender, while simultaneously thinking big and bold. Relationships are still getting restructured as you figure out what types of nourishment you need, what serves you and cultivates comfort and support. Pay close attention to the signals and signs coming to you. As Saturn shifts into your 3rd house for the next 2.5 years, a new sense of courage and creativity demands your attention and intention. The amount of courage and creativity you step into will directly correlate to how much transformation takes place for you. Be bold. Libra: The lessons you are learning about balance are extremely karmic and necessary for your long term sustainability and well being. Balance is your ultimate mantra in life, and you've been getting a crash course over the past many months about what best practices are for more fluidity and flow. But you may still be missing some cosmic memos. As much as you want to rush forward and expand yourself out in the world, going slow, taking steady steps, and listening deeply are the real requirements. As Saturn shifts into your 2nd house for 2.5 years, you will learn yet again find a new balance set point. Finances, nourishment, family paradigms and emotions will play a major role in your overall well being. The loose ends you've missed in this last cycle, will become present and palpable . Scorpio: There are still a lot of transformations and endings taking place for you right now. This is preparation for the coming Saturn cycle that will take place in your head for the next 2.5 years. Right now, focusing on your wisdom work, teaching, sharing, advising and mentoring, are all worthy of your time and efforts. Your actions are vital resources for your gains and losses. Take notes. What works and what doesn't? You are the restructuring aficionado, so use your set backs to make some lemonade! Start plotting your time at the ashram now. Capricorn: In many ways you've already begun your preparation for the upcoming Saturn cycle. As Saturn shifts into your 11th house for the next 2.5 years, your diligence with gains and losses comes into focus. The 11th house is a plus/minus house and reminds us of polarities and the "flip side" of every gain. For you, this will be linked to your ego and past karmas that require your attention in order for self mastery. With Sun debilitated still in your career house, the old push you're so used to has likely been giving you a run for its money. With Rahu in your 9th house, remember that your sacred needs and worldly needs must find some union in order for Nature's support. Start walking with your ego more intentionally and notice when you over do it. Ask your ego why it demands you push so hard? Aquarius: Your wisdom and ability to innovate are attractive offerings for others- and this will advance you. Have you noticed? It's your ingenuity and transformational abilities that keep you progressing and moving quickly. It's vital that you let your past inform your present and your future directions. It's the old shadows and haunts that are vital resources for you. Pay attention to them and work with them intentionally. Transform your darkness into skilled offerings for others. Shape shift. As Saturn shifts into your career house for the next 2.5 years, your work becomes more laser focused and refined, as do your relationships. It won't be without some hard work, but don't discount your willingness to change; that will smooth the ride and help you surrender. Pisces: Your pruning phase continues as old attachments get loosened and let go. There's resistance to the changes so be looking for where you are clinging, who you are clinging to, and why. What does that person or relationship represent for you and your life and why is the attachment so strong? Your past karmas are helping you restore some sense of balance right now. You may be noticing your ego is taking a bruising right now; it's all part of the overall need for balance in your life. Trust this process. Once Saturn shifts into your 9th house on the 2nd, a very different cycle begins for you. The challenges of the past, begin to shift into wisdom for the future. You will be working with sharing your gifts and learning about your self in the process- in a much more fulfilling way. Seek the balance that is seeking you. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Diwali (or Deepavali) is a very significant five day festival in the Vedic tradition. This year, the festivities begin on the 18th in the USA, and continue until the 25th. The most significant day of the Diwali festivities is on the 23rd because of the new Moon. This is a celebration of light, of Lakshmi, and our divine resources. The festival of light spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. As the solar eclipse is occurring simultaneously, we literally are experiencing an eclipse of our light, our solar energy, our soul. Today, let in the light, the abundance that is present in your life- no matter how small or nuanced. Turn on the light switch of your soul and let this be a poignant moment, intentionally driving out the shadows and inviting in more light to your life. Possibility, hope and joy are significant resources. Honor Lakshmi, light a candle at your altar and invoke her spirit of abundance and wealth. New Moon is at 16:57 CDT while Moon is in Libra and Chitra nakshatra. Moon moves to Swati nakshatra at 17:31 CDT. The partial solar eclipse begins at 17:00 CDT and continues until 18:52 CDT. A lot of movement and shifts are happening within this two hour time frame. Use this time for meditation, invocation and setting intentions if possible. Swati nakshatra increases shadow, movement and shape shifting. The rule of Swati, Vayu the wind god, increases these tendencies. Symbolically, this partial solar eclipse ushers in the next waxing cycle for us. This is a cycle that brings essential balancing for the pieces of our life and relationships that have been causing us upheaval. The balance occurs once we slowly sift and settle into our new choices and action steps. Digestion and assimilation of the past month bring the stability we are seeking. Finding the most nourishing morsels of our lives and what our greatest needs are, becomes our driving force. Transformation becomes the nourishment, as well as instigates the nourishment we need. Seek transformation and let new resources feed you. Your emotional body is a vital resource for making wise choices and action steps. Whatever your intuitive knowing offers you- go there. Use this wisdom to guide you. Restructure the way you offer yourself, how you share your wisdom. Shift the way you seek wisdom and knowledge. Invite in innovation. Let the body be a primary creative resource for you. Resource from the wisdom of the body. Listen deeply and ask your body to give you the guidance you are seeking. Pelvis and hips can be a resource for informing the way you dance with stability, support, moving forward and containment. How can you move forward with greater stability and support? *New Moon Chart Creative Ritual for the Waxing Moon Cycle
Libra becomes a vital part of our new Moon eclipse experience, as well as our coming waxing Moon cycle. Libra represents seventh house matters- relationships, our mirror, the other. Libra offers us balance, vacillation, global awareness and compassion, as well as confusion and lack of commitment at times. There is a correlation to the pelvis, which metaphorically connects us to stability and support, as well as a sense of holding. The pelvic bowl contains our sexual, reproductive and excretory organs. This is a vital body part for our sense of thriving, joy, passion and sensuality. It is a container, and also connects us to our vulnerability. The pelvic region connects us to 2nd chakra issues, including our financial and wealth resource, abundance, and our creative flow. 1) With the above elements in mind, draw an image of your pelvis. Let the image express your connection to this body part. What is your relationship with your pelvis? What is your response to this body part? How does it support you and help you thrive? Let these questions help you develop your pelvis drawing. Include colors, textures, images and shapes that express your pelvic relationship. 2) Dance your pelvis drawing. Find one element of your image that speaks to you. Perhaps it's a color, shape or some intriguing texture. Enter your dance through the pelvis and begin to move. Move your image using the resources of pelvis and the intriguing element you have chosen to work with. Keep developing your dance for 10 to 15 minutes. Let your dance evolve and increase your somatic sensations as you move. Remember to breathe and allow your pelvis to be a primary resource for your movements. 3) Harvesting. What resources did your pelvic dance offer you? What challenges? How can this inform the way you move forward in your life? Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me.
