This Week's Intention: Find ways to drop into your depths and ground within, while surrendering to the many changes happening- inner and outer. Gather extra resources and support to hold you. Where can you let go and lighten your load? Moon is waxing and energy is increasing within your inner realms. The week begins with winter Solstice (Northern Hemisphere) marking the darkest day of the year. Despite the waxing Moon, it is an inward time on multiple levels. As our light source reaches its darkest point, our inner light also weakens and is fragile, increasing a sense of vulnerability. Allow for more silence and longer pauses, more time outdoors and more self care. This is a wild week! There will be three planetary shifts, an intense full Moon and Rahu and Ketu moving to their sandhi degrees while Jupiter continues to move closer to the edge of Leo. Extra care and caution are necessary with all the movement and shifts happening back to back. Be diligent with your self tracking and gather extra resources, guidance and support right now. Early Monday morning, Moon shifts to Bharani- offering possible restriction, constriction and difficulties with relationships and money. This is a reminder to find more balance with both. Where are you out of alignment and not in right relationship with wealth and love? Where are you giving too much and neglecting deeper needs? Where are you starving yourself for false gratification? Say yes to nourishment by aligning with love, gratitude, creativity and your passion for life. Keep it simple and let go of the extras, the distractions, the false nourishment that keeps you in lack. Say yes to your transformation and allow in new possibilities. As winter Solstice arrives, the darkness deepens. Light your lights and call upon the Sun to bring you resources for growth and healing. Winter Solstice occurs for the Northern Hemisphere (Summer Solstice for the Southern Hemisphere) on December 21st at 08:49 PST, marking the shortest and darkest day of the year, as well as the official start of winter. The winter months bring increased soma, more ability to resource from within, while helping us clear away what doesn't nourish or support our growth. It is a cycle of death, release and endings. As the new year approaches, it's an excellent time to start clarifying intentions for what you are gathering and carrying with you for the year to come, while honoring your inner needs and extra self care. Meditate, increase physical activity, stay warm, eat simple, light foods. Carefully keep your agni stoked with right diet, routine and lifestyle. Keep it simple. Less is more. Tuesday, Moon shifts to Krittika nakshatra early morning, stirring Agni, the fire of life. Chaos and calamity may increase today as the ruling planet of this nakshatra, Sun, transits the unstable constellation, Mula. Pull up the weeds in your life and throw them onto the compost pile. Seek clarity, purification and transformation. Late morning, Moon shifts to Taurus, it's sign of exaltation. Saturn gives his gaze, increasing depression, sadness, slowness and frustrations, while Rahu's gaze amplifies this. Expect big emotions to surface today. Do you invite them in or suppress them? How do you surf these tides? Where do you need healthier boundaries? What resources are necessary as you move forward? Rahu and Ketu move into the two degree range, becoming sandhi- or in the gap between signs. Rahu will move to Leo on January 30th and Ketu will move into Aquarius. This marks a delicate, transitional time with your shadows and your liberation process. Gather your resources and support for the months ahead. I'll be sharing more details about theses transits in the next few weeks. Wednesday, Moon continue through Taurus transiting its mulitrikona degrees. The emotional body is still sensitive today as Saturn shares his direct gaze to the Moon. A certain intensity may be felt with Rahu's shadowy stare as well. Just as the day begins, Moon shifts to Rohini nakshatra and creativity is sparked. Make time for movement, dance, drawing, painting and honoring your creative life force energy. What types of nourishment are you creating for yourself? Contain it! As the Moon enters the 14th tithi, almost completely full, Mars finally leaves its challenging conjunction with Rahu behind. On December 23rd at 15:46 PST, Mars lands in Libra for an almost two month transit, staying here until February 20th. Intense creative sparks will fly in this cycle. Prepare to maximize this time by carving out designated time and space for your creative endeavors. Seek to balance and harmonize masculine and feminine forces within. Masculine energy is product oriented, which Mars is extremely well suited for. However, the feminine energy of Libra supports flow, fluidity, movement and strong creative pulls. Both are essential, yet the tendency in our Western-centric culture is to neglect our feminine needs. Be sure to honor your feminine side with ample pauses, time in nature, rest, meditation, extra self care and creative activities. Emphasize process rather than product in this cycle in order to deepen nourishment and cultivate more presence with your creative potential. On the other hand, harness the creative energy and contain it for manifesting desires consciously. Use this Mars in Libra cycle to harmonize and balance the emotional body. Some of this comes through grief and purging the internal waters, honoring your inner tides and letting them flow more fluidly. Cry and laugh, seek joy yet attend to the pain and struggles. Lean into your challenges, the pain, the hurts and struggles. Massage them with your tears and let your emotional body flow more freely. Let the healing in. Find the balms that soothe your scars. Balance inner and outer realms, past and present, pain and happiness. Stand in the center of your polarities and stabilize through your pelvic wisdom. Soften and awaken your heart center; channel your inner knowing. Let it guide you towards trust, truth and awakening. Walk your path of dharma with conviction and purpose. Don't bow, bend or back down. The stakes are too high- and getting higher. Not yet sure what your dharmic work is? Lean into your suffering and let your wounds become your gifts. Minutes before midnight, Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra. Find the soma. Venus moves to the edge of Libra, preparing to shift into Scorpio. Feelings, wealth, health, relationships and comforts are fragile. Thursday arrives and Moon continue through the realm of Soma, Mrigashirsha nakshatra. What resources can you use to deepen your inner stability and support right now? Midday, Moon moves to Gemini and receives gaze from Mercury and Sun. Do you feel the scrutiny? The critic? The task master? This narrow focus can increase the sense of chaos and confusion within. Find ways to ground and stabilize. Use self care to come back to center. Before midnight, Moon shifts to Ardra nakshatra, increasing volatile emotions and feelings. How can you create more safety and support for yourself? Be mindful of excess at this time and notice where you are suppressing your needs. Healthy boundaries are a must. The Moon is full and potent right now. Track the emotional body diligently. Mercury is at the edge of Sagittarius and has entered its sandhi degrees. The mind and all things Mercury are fragile. Pay attention to communications, creativity, writing, commerce and connections. Friday arrives with yet another planetary shift. Just hours before the full Moon on the 25th, Venus slips into Scorpio, joining Saturn here at 01:25 am PST. This transit amplifies themes around creativity and the emotional body- for those willing to dive into their dark matter. With Venus in Scorpio (Mars' sign) Mars in Libra (Venus's sign) there is an exchange between fire and water that occurs. Use this for momentum and propelling yourself forward. Emotional intensity is a given in this month long cycle so make sure to gather ample resource for grounding, landing and also moving the emotional body more fluidly. Grief amplifies, yet as mentioned previously, this is a necessity for cultivating deeper balance and inner harmony. The extent to which you can cultivate presence, surrender and balance with your sadness and joy, heavy parts and light parts, darkness and light, is the extent in which you can receive more nourishment. Suppressing your grief will only keep you further away from that which you truly long for- life force energy. Where are you resisting your darkness? How can you lean into your shadows more intimately? What compassion can you give yourself in the process? Where are you stuck and where do you need more support, guidance and help? Use your creativity, the arts and courage to cultivate deeper presence with your sorrows. Find balance with your story by writing about it as well as dancing, drawing or making music with it. The Saturn and Venus conjunction requests you get embodied and ground your knowing into physical body presence. Or perhaps you start with the pathway of the body and let its innate knowing seep into your mental body awareness? What are you moving? What is moving through you? What is moving you forward, awakening your core? Don't back down. Activate with this intensity, but resource your self with powerful presence simultaneously. Step into an embodied, empowered state. Where do you feel your power landing within? Resource from here. Just hours after Venus shifts into the deep and mysteries sign of Scorpio, the full Moon arrives. For many around the world who celebrate Christmas, this full Moon may feel especially potent. The Moon is at its fullest at 03:10 am PST on the 25th, while Moon transits Gemini and Ardra nakshatra. There is a certain emotional tenacity in this cycle which must be acknowledged and managed with intention and care. Ardra is known for its outbursts, over-active emotional body, ferocity, anger and destructive tendencies. Go into this waning cycle knowing that the emotional body will need your extra attention. Arm yourself with resources, guidance, therapeutic tools and wisdom. The cycle to come brings intense change, calamity and turmoil in varying forms. It's a time of liberating the shadow and bringing parts of ourselves to the light for greater healing. Trust the intensity has something important to share with you. What is the mirror being shown? What reflection is being presented? Do you like what you see? What changes and adjustments need to be made? What support do you need in order to find greater ease, strength and stability? How can you deepen self trust, resiliency and a sense of thriving? Where do you need to hit the release valve and just blow off some steam? Destruction is a necessary part of growth and the creative process. What needs to be destroyed in order to make space for more nourishing and supportive relationships and experiences? For many, the holiday time period (pre, during and post) can be highly charged- amplifying destructive tendencies. Be mindful of healthy boundaries with family members and friends. Be aware of excess- whether it's too much time with others, over-indulgences with food, sweets, alcohol and intoxicants, or over-spending. Watch addictions and addictive behaviors in yourself and others. Where are you playing the victim and returning to cycles of self-sabotage? Gather a team of support around yourself in order to remind yourself of intentions for balance and stability. Above all, use self care to bolster your inner reserves. Attend to your needs on all four levels of your being- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Rest and restore. Just before midnight, the Moon shifts into Punarvasu nakshatra, which offers Aditi's resources and support. Allow her to nourish you with wisdom and understanding in the coming days. Saturday, Moon moves through Aditi's constellation, Punarvasu and Mercury's sign, Gemini. Find ways to expand your awareness and wisdom today. Let this bring you some compassion and self trust, perhaps stability. The mind is fragile as Mercury changes signs today. Attend to the mental body and communications diligently. Mid afternoon, Saturday, Moon moves into its own sign, Cancer. Ketu gives his gaze, provoking sudden awareness and spiritual messages. As Saturday closes, Moon shifts into Pushya nakshatra, the nourishing star. Seek balance. Mercury moves to Capricorn at 09:58 am PST, an amicable sign for him. Multiple gazes are given to Mercury, stirring the mind and provoking textures in the mental body landscape. Saturn, Mars and Rahu give their drishti to Mercury, instigating tension and frustrations. This is a time to seek balance in your momentum. Leap and land carefully- and with intention. Desires may be strong and intense on the mental body level. Are these desires controlling you? Find ways to soften and surrender. The tension between Saturn (stop, slow) and Mars (go, fast) is intensified by Rahu (the amplifier). Capricorn's nature is to push really hard, overwork and to tenaciously take on a challenge. Are you biting off more than you can chew? Saying yes when you really need to say no? Find ways to delegate, get extra support and notice where you invite in overwhelm. This is often a strategy for self sabotage, perpetuating cycles of "not being enough" or "not doing good enough". Remember that challenges are an opportunity to notice what needs to change or shift within us or our choices. What needs to change in order for smoother sailing? As Mercury continues to move through the constellation Uttarashada, the Vishvadevas provoke some stability and balance for the mind while inviting in some peace and inner joy. On January 5th, Mercury goes retrograde for three weeks until January 25th. He will then travel back through the domain of the Vishvadevas, returning to Sagittarius just minutes after the 14th arrives. As he lands back into Sagittarius, he runs right into the Sun, rendering him combust and in exact conjunction with the heat of fire itself. The mind will be hot, agitated and fragile leading up to and after this transit so be mindful of your thoughts, words and actions. Sun and Mercury pass and begin to separate as Mercury retreats back through Sagittarius and the Sun moves forward into Capricorn. Retrograde Jupiter now gives his gaze to Mercury, softening and stabilizing the mind, yet provoking growth and wisdom in ways that may arrive as challenges and learning curves. Mercury moves back into the first portion of the Ashada constellation, Purva on the 17th and Apas arrives with her watery ways to increase flow, fluidity and movement. With the conjunction of Venus and Mercury at this time, a powerful creative energy may be felt. Use this creativity for movement, change and supporting transformation. Mercury won't arrive back into Capricorn until February 8th, when he will ask you to revisit themes around forcing outcomes and pushing hard to achieve. Where can you surrender and release? During this entire dance of the mind and its intense movements and changes, Rahu and Ketu will be shifting simultaneously into new signs for the next year and a half. This increases the instability and fragile nature of the transits and your personal experiences. This is a time for extra self care, guidance and resources that provide stability, support and clarity. It's also important to get extra planetary support through yagyas. Sunday, Moon travels through Pushya nakshatra and requests stability, support and balance. Ketu's gaze on the Moon helps the heart and emotional body clear and cut blockages, restrictions. Let him help you increase liberation by removing the rubble that is closing the heart center. Use the rhythm of your heart to find your own pulse, your own beat. What song are you singing? How do your steps match your inner beat? Get clear on your emotional body needs. Ground, land, settle. Resource from your inner knowing and awaken your inner trust. Late evening, Moon shifts into the final constellation of Cancer, Ashlesha. Stay out of the illusion. Monday begins with a waning Moon moving through the 4th tithi (Moon phase). Find ways to contain and hold yourself with comfort and support. As Moon continues through Cancer and Ashlesha nakshatra, Sarpa brings illusions and deception to the foreground. Are you stuck in the shadow? Where can you shine more light on your darkness? Your emotional body can give you the necessary messages for increasing the light within. It is your barometer for wellness, for how well your needs are being met. Where do you need more support, new resources, extra self care? What changes need to be made in order for your inner nourishment to increase? It's a time of change and making new choices in order for new and different results in the weeks and months to come. This Week's Intention: Take slow, steady steps. Be intentional with your movements. Make self care and inner reflection a priority. Land in your heart. The week begins with a ripe Moon, finishing its transit through Pisces- instigating endings and release for the days ahead. Moon transits Revati nakshatra and the mental body requests attention and deeper nourishment. What cords need to be cut, severed and released for more clarity and receptivity? Where are you still holding on when you should be releasing? What stories is the mental body stuck in and repeating? Set yourself free. It's a perfect time to be working with self development resources that help you unravel the mental body programming. Note where the mind is stuck, resistant and rigid. Early afternoon on Monday, Moon jumps to Aries, crossing the challenging gap between Pisces and the beginning of the zodiac. The Moon is almost full and as it moves through the tricky gandanta gap between Pisces and Aries, inner and outer shifts take place. This transition point is particularly challenging because Pisces brings us endings and release, while Aries invites in beginnings and renewal. There is usually some big, necessary change that must be attended to when planets pass through this point. As Moon moves from watery sign, Pisces, into the fire sign, Aries, expect a strong emotional body shift. The Moon is expanded and full anyway, our emotional cups are at capacity, and there is a necessary release finding its natural course. Notice where you are holding and gripping. What can be softened and released? The full Moon is in Aries during the early hours of Tuesday morning, while Moon transits Ashwini nakshatra- the first of the 27 nakshatras. Full Moon is Tuesday, October 27th at 05:04 CDT while Moon is in Aries and Ashwini Nakshatra. This particular constellation is connected to rejuvenation and healing. There is ample potential and possibility available here. Ruling deities, the Ashvini-Kumara twins, are experts in Ayurveda and the healing arts. Among their healing resources are music and the arts- as moving creative energy is vital for both health and well being, while increasing joy and vitality. This full Moon reminds us to take slow, meaningful steps. It's a time to turn inward, despite the fullness of the Moon- which usually invites an external focus. In the cycle to come, we must attend to the vital release process and the transformations invited through letting go and endings. Removal and release of relationships and that which no longer serves you in nourishing and supportive ways, must be severed and set free. Radically let go of those who do not have your needs and deep nourishment in mind. In the waning Moon cycle, notice what is falling away naturally and forcing you to attend to release. If you're gripping tightly and refusing to surrender, there will be challenge. First, look to see where you need more support and nourishment in your life and what challenges continue to present themselves. These are old stories that need your deeper attention. Liberate yourself from fear, old stories, paradigms and mental body blockages. You are as powerful as you allow your self to be. What is holding you back and keeping you from your full potential? Just before noon on Tuesday, Moon shifts to Bharani nakshatra and sensitivity takes on a new flavor. Ruling deity Yama requests restraint in order for deep transformation. Where can you create clarity and safe boundaries for yourself in order to get your needs met? Especially in relationships and with those in authority positions. Take your power back. Wednesday continues with Yama's forceful energy and great sensitivity. The ability to sense and feel everything intimately is truly foundational for deep transformation. Let Yama help you release and respond to your needs for self care and support. If it feels like too much, it probably is. Make adjustments. Late morning, Moon moves to Krittika nakshatra and Agni continues the theme of transformation, but does so with purification and burning away impurities. Heat and fire are necessary for alchemical changes to take place. Where's the heat and what is transforming as a result? How can you avoid getting burned while allowing the changes to take place? Take care of digestion today and support Agni carefully. The physical body will need extra care and caution today. Rest, self care and go slow. Early afternoon, Moon shifts into its exaltation sign, Taurus and emotional body fullness is intensified. Today requires conscious attention to all four levels of our being. Be very intentional with your inner work, as there is intensity for emotional, mental, physical and spiritual bodies occurring simultaneously. Moon is exalted until evening and then shifts to its mulitrikona degrees. Mercury is at the edge of Virgo and is now sandhi, in the gap between signs. The mental body is also delicate and needs extra support at this time. Track mental body stories diligently. Take time for meditation and grounding in the wisdom of your body in the coming days. Late morning on Thursday, Moon moves to the potent and creative constellation, Rohini. Ruling deity, Lord Brahma, is the ultimate manifestor and full of creative, life giving potential. Moon is also immensely creative and loves to connect, share, co-create and harmonize. As Moon moves through Rohini, let your creativity be amplified. What are you creating in your life? Who and what are you connecting with? What is your intention for co-creation and leaving a legacy of your gifts? Today, envision and create ways to illuminate your path with deeper nourishment and support. Activate and align with your inner passion and creative powers. Mercury finally lands in Libra at 09:59 PDT, joining debilitated Sun here. After months of moving through his favorite sign, Virgo, he shifts to the relational and connective sign of Libra. Mercury is naturally a connector and a creator, a communicator and a generator, while also signifying thinking and imagination. This cycle will instigate a lot of inspiration and thinking- which will increase the imaginal, the spiritual, new ideas and increased creativity. Simultaneously, it will be too easy to stay in the head and out of the body, which can cause issues with the physical as well as manifestation. It's vital to cultivate presence and deeper relationship with the feeling level and emotional body wisdom, as well as the physical body and its ability to increase stability and support, grounding and landing. Vata and excess air can increase during this cycle, which can result in feeling ungrounded and unstable. The Mercury Sun conjunction will become closer and tighter toward the end of this transit, climaxing on November 16th while both planets are in Vishaka nakshatra. New paths will present themselves and old ones will need to be re-evaluated. Can the old still support you and your needs, your desires and visions? Co-creation, extra support and new alliances may emerge. Seek out others who align with your visions and goals. Call in new resources in order to help your path take shape. Sun and Mercury continue to track each other closely in tight combustion, moving simultaneously into Scorpio on the 17th, joining Saturn here. Get your extra support and resources in place before this transit and prepare for deep inner work in the cycle to come. Friday invites more creative impulses and increased play, passion and vitality. Emotional body wisdom is potent today. As Moon shifts into Mrigashirsha nakshatra early morning, deeper nourishment arrives if we let it. Ruling deity, Soma, increases the divine nectar of life. Drink it up and dive in! Where can you find greater abundance, receptivity and resources? Where are you resisting this juicy blossoming of life? Ruling planet of this constellation is Mars, who is now in close conjunction with Venus. Together, they stir the pot of passion and intense feelings. Let the heart swell with enthusiasm and use this to attract more of what you desire. Notice where you are resisting and contracting, keeping the nourishment from seeping into your being. If you want more of the good stuff, you have to make room for it. If it doesn't feed your soul, get rid of it. Late afternoon, Moon shifts to Gemini, the creative, connective sign, ruled by Mercury. Just as Saturday arrives, the Moon moves to the powerful and tempestuous nakshatra, Ardra. This constellation has a lot to do with emotional release, intense feelings, and heightened passion. Calm and quiet the storm by finding safe and healthy outlets for emotional release. Let go, purge, express and let it all fall out. What can you do to move the emotions out and through? Where are you resisting or neglecting your emotional body? What has been left unexpressed for too long? Move your inner waters and let it pour out of you through healthy channels. Mars is at the edge of Leo now and sandhi. He's extra passionate and fiery. He may cause intensified expression and passion, anger, emotional charge and reckless actions. Where are you forcing and pushing unconsciously? Where are you cutting and pasting over your physical and emotional body needs? Keep landing back in the physical body wisdom and ask it what it needs. If there's challenge or obstacles hindering your progress, this is a reminder to slow down, stop, listen more carefully. Mars and Venus are still in tight conjunction. Feelings are heated and passions are high. Pause before speaking or acting. Jupiter's nakshatra, Punarvasu, arrives early Sunday morning with the balm that soothes our ailments. Aditi and her abundant resources bring us solutions, possibilities, wisdom and awareness that the previous day couldn't support. The pot that Ardra stirred, will now settle so we can find some soft landing and more gentle steps. Resources arrive today to soothe and support. What wisdom are you receiving which helps you understand, expand, grow and find greater balance? Pause and be still or you'll miss her abundant messages and feelings of unity. Late evening, Moon jumps into its own sign, Cancer, increasing harmony and emotional balance. Let the veils of illusion drop away. Monday continues with Moon in Cancer and transiting from Punarvasu into Pushya nakshatra in the early hours of the morning. Expand and contract, open and close, find balance between your polarities. Seek harmony within and track the breath closely today. How can you land in your heart more intentionally? Bring your focus to your emotional body wisdom, your feelings, and deepen your connection to home, grounding and well being. The wisdom you seek is within. * Timing used is Pacific Daylight Time.
Need some extra guidance and clarity? I am now scheduling December sessions. Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. This Week's Intention: Keep leaning in...closer to your inner light. Turn shadow into wisdom, pain into compassion and illusion into clarity. Seek the gifts within your challenges. The week begins with a waning Moon moving through Punarvasu nakshatra transiting the final constellation of Gemini. Ruling deity, Aditi, shares her wisdom and support to usher in deeper nourishment. She brings resources and unity consciousness with her. Align with wholeness and divine flow. Let this theme carry you through Monday as you deepen and drop into greater holding and grounding. As Moon moves into its own sign, Cancer, early afternoon, we can truly land in our awakened heart more easily. Strip off the veils of illusion and saturate yourself in the purity of the emotional body. Day of Mars, Tuesday, provides opening and closing with boundary reminders. As Moon transits Pushya nakshatra, our nourishment comes from balance, breath and heart wisdom. This is the nourishing star, a provider of support, but it often arrives after some release. Just as the exhale allows the inhale. Take time for landing in your heart today and use your breath to arrive in the now. Ketu's drishti can offer awakenings and removing illusion. What are you opening to? What are you closing to? Just before midnight Moon moves to Ashlesha nakshatra, Sarpa's domain. Exalted retrograde Mercury (debilitated now) is tightly conjunct shadow node, Rahu, in Virgo this week. It is a time to be diligent with the mental body and to track illusions, stories and the imaginal realms within. Fears, anxieties and uncertainties are high, while truth, clarity and feelings of support may be challenging. Use this time to work directly with the mind and consciously unravel your inner darkness. The light of the Sun in Virgo, transiting through Hasta nakshatra, can bring awakening and more light. Bring in the light by transforming your darkness. Wednesday, Mercury's day, Moon transits a Mercury ruled nakshatra, Ashlesha. This is the home of Sarpa, the serpent, a devious and mischievous deity who prefers occult and mystical knowledge to the mundane. He is an excellent resource for attending to illusions and inner darkness, then transforming it into awakening and transcendence. What needs to be unveiled? Work with the mind and mental body stories very diligently and use them to awaken from shadow and illusion. Thursday arrives and the Moon jumps through the challenging gandanta gap between Cancer and Leo, where he joins the passionate combination of Jupiter, Mars and Venus. All receive drishti, gaze, from Saturn. Passions are being stoked by the potent trio moving through Leo and Moon illuminates their expressions. Magha nakshatra is enlivened by the Moon today, a nakshatra connected to the ancestors- especially the father's lineage. There is a lot of strength and desire here- to be seen, noticed and heard. With this lunar constellation, a royal, regal flair is often expressed. It's also a place we can deepen our relationship with the ancestors and their spirit. At this time of Pitr Paksha, the sacred 15 day celebration of the ancestors in the Vedic calendar, use today for intention setting. Who and what are you connecting with? What parts of your lineage do you wish to awaken and strengthen? What parts are you ready to leave behind and let go of? Use gratitude to soften the heart and align with the strength of your ancestors. Early Friday morning, Moon moves to Purvaphalguni nakshatra- a fertile and creative star ruled by Bhaga and the planet Venus. Ample creativity and shakti are enlivened through this constellation. Sensuality and sexuality share their potency as well as love and pleasure. The passion of Venus, Mars and Jupiter is enlivened through the amplification of the Moon. Saturn's gaze can bring contraction and displeasure. Channel the creative energy coursing through you intentionally for maximum gain. Notice where you are resisting and refusing nourishment from joy, ease and pleasure. Mercury goes direct at 07:54 and his exalted status will now be felt more fully. The mind is strong right now and can be used for powerful gains or disorienting set backs. How on top of your mental body are you? Focus, clarify, release. Let go of mental body toxicity and limiting beliefs that keep you in the shadows. Mid morning on Saturday, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Phalguni constellation, Uttaraphalguni. Equally creative and potent, this star shares more sustainability and lasting results with our creative efforts. Ruling deity Aryaman and planet, Sun, desire dharma, lineage support and careful co-creation. Love, marriage and family matters are priorities- all things that please the ancestors if they bring fruitful results. Early afternoon Moon moves to Virgo, joining exalted Mercury, Rahu and Sun here. Moon tightly conjuncts both Rahu and Mercury today and tomorrow, creating mental pressure. The magnification of mind and body is illuminated by the Moon over the next few days, with the added layer of shadow from Rahu. Take care of your physical, mental and emotional bodies and allow space and time to attend to your spiritual body as well. Late morning Sunday, Moon arrives in Hasta nakshatra, the domain of Savitr. Use today for awakening and bringing light to your shadow. The Moon transits the 14th tithi today, helping us land more intimately into our inner depths. As we approach the new Moon and the end of Pitr Pakshu, the subtle qualities of spirit enliven. Create space for silence, listening and presence. What parts of your being need more light? What are you gathering? What are you releasing? Monday begins with Moon in the final phase of its waning cycle, Amavasya, and moves to Chitra nakshatra early afternoon. Vishvakarma, the celestial architect, brings his support with building and planning. It's a great time to be clarifying goals and action steps, refining desires and visions. New Moon is at 17:05 with Moon in Virgo and Chitra nakshatra. This is a time of depth and harvesting from our inner resources. Navaratri begins on the 13th, inviting in transformational powers and divine blessings from the goddesses. I'll be sharing more about the new Moon and Navaratri in my next calendar post. *All calculations given are Pacific Daylight Time.

The week begins with the tail end of a total lunar eclipse while Moon finishes up its transit through Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra. Themes of release, letting go and endings kick off the week. The challenging portal between eclipses is complete, yet the lingering needs that were stirred, remain. Be gentle with yourself and attend to quiet, rest, meditation and self care in the coming days. Ease your letting go process with tenderness and intention. Renewal is on the horizon! October invites a deeper inward climb with Pitru Paksha and Navaratri arriving. Pitru Paksha is a fifteen day celebration honoring the ancestors which begins on September 28th and concludes on the 12th of October, the day before Navaratri begins. Use this time to intentionally connect and align with your lineage, ancestors and those who are ushering you forward. What action do you need to take in order to activate your familial dharma and leave a powerful legacy? Monday, mid morning, Moon moves to the final nakshatra of the zodiac, Revati. Ruling deity, Pushan, supports and assists our journey and travels. He brings nourishment and resources for our path, while also requiring attention to sensitivity and digestion. As Moon finishes up another transit through the twelve signs, use today for the necessary clean up and release after the full Moon + lunar eclipse. What are you holding onto that needs to be released on the mental and emotional body levels? Retrograde Mercury moves to its exaltation degrees early afternoon, rendering him debilitated. This continues until October 9th as he moves back into close conjunction with Rahu. Be mindful of communication and tend to mental body sensitivity. Meditation and self development are essential right now. Mind your mind and stay out of the shadows, illusions and darkness as much as possible. Use creativity, focus and goals to stay hopeful and illuminated. Themes of endings and release continue into Tuesday as Moon crosses the challenging gandanta (junction) between Pisces, into Aries. This cycle happens monthly as Moon completes its cycle through the zodiac, marking fresh starts and beginnings. However, the leap from water, endings, death (Pisces) into fire, renewal and emergence (Aries) can be difficult and intense. What are you letting go of? What are you moving towards? Intentionally make space for your release process and trust your leap into the new. As Moon jumps to Aries early morning and lands in Ashwini nakshatra, he receives the gaze of Jupiter, softening his landing. Allow rejuvenation through healing and creative energy. Trust in your ability to regenerate and take a bold step forward. Venus is at the very edge (sandhi) of Cancer and yet another challenging gandanta is sharing its effects. Feelings and emotions may be extra strong today as Venus prepares to leap from water (Cancer) to fire (Leo), instigating deep purification for our creativity and life force energy. Let your creative energy guide you and inspire change and transformation. Let emotions release and purify through tears and being near water. A tight conjunction (combustion) between Mercury and Sun is simultaneously occurring which can fry the mind and destabilize it. Keep the mental body cool and use frustration as momentum for change. Emotions and sensitivity may increase as Moon moves into Bharani nakshatra around midnight. Self care is essential. Attend to your vulnerability with tenderness. My Dharma Foundations Course special ends today! Last chance to receive 70% off this powerful, life changing course. Align with your dharma, transform and heal in the process. Get the Details. Wednesday arrives with deep emotional tides stirring. As Moon continues through Bharani nakshatra, Yama increases the need for self-control, restraint and intense focus. He notoriously increases sensitivity and victimization through one's karmas. Aligning with Natural Law is essential or he will certainly punish with his harsh ways. Through restraint, he allows re-patterning and re-focus and ultimately transformation and change. What are you ready to cut out of your life once and for all? What suffering are you clinging to like an old sweater, just because its more comfortable than change? Be radical with your release. Let the suffering go. Venus leaps to Leo at 15:12, purifying and cutting its ties to the emotional sign, Cancer. As Venus jumps to Leo and lands in Ketu's nakshatra, Magha, an invitation for a new, bold life is instigated. Venus renews its chase of Mars now and the two instigate extra passion in this already fiery sign. Jupiter here as well increases, expands and nourishes, offering a certain level of protection. Saturn's drishti invites in strength, balance and stability to the mix. Deep, passionate work can be done in this cycle- if we are aligned with our truth and power. Let your efforts be healing, transformational and sustainable. Use your gut wisdom as your guide. Notice where you're pushing too hard and allow grace and beauty to take over. Seek alignment with your desires and creative passions. Invite in playfulness wherever you can, while staying true to your course. Activate and align with goals more intentionally and keep your eye on the prize. Powerful, consistent action steps will be rewarded. Align with your heart wisdom and intuitive guidance for extra support. It has a fire to spark within you! Restraint, commitment and focus are necessary for gains at this time, but let your biggest dreams be your guiding force. Use this time wisely as next month will bring a debilitated Venus, challenging for creativity, relationships and life force energy. Make sure you don't burn yourself out in this cycle, then forced to re-balance next month. This warning will be especially important at the end of the transit as Venus leaves Leo in tight conjunction with Mars. Heat, tenacity and passion can overwhelm and overheat. Their passionate dance continues into Virgo, so prepare now with the intention of inner balance and self care. Use your creative life force energy diligently and consciously. Moon shifts to Krittika nakshatra before midnight and purification increases. Burn away the illusions and doubts. Stand in your fire. Today is the last chance to use my *free* Dharma Awakening Course materials. I'm removing everything from the website tomorrow! Did you miss these free dharmic offerings? Attend to your inner flame and focus on the light you are cultivating. Add kindling gently and stoke your fire. Let the stomach be your guide today. Are you listening to your gut wisdom, seat of your emotions, passion and power? Where do you need to step it up? Where do you need to quit pushing so hard? What are you digesting and assimilating. Get nourishment. Mid afternoon, Moon jumps to Taurus and becomes exalted, expanded and full of emotional body wisdom. Both Rahu and Saturn give their gaze, churning storm energy up in the process. Intensity on the emotional body level will be activated. How do you use this power? Channel it creatively. Use it for powerful momentum forward. Don't get stuck in its overwhelm and toxicity. Can you change and transform the challenge into growth and forward movement? Rise to the occasion and feel the creative surge. Moon's exaltation only lasts until mid morning, but the emotional body will still be strong. Late evening, Moon shifts to Rohini nakshatra and the creative energy increases. Dance, sing, paint your dreams into reality! Lord Brahma is here to support your journey. Friday continues with potent, creative themes as Moon continues through Rohini nakshatra. Lord Brahma and his wife, goddess Saraswati, are the ultimate manifestation dynamic. When masculine and feminine align creative life force is fully activated and can be channeled in potent ways. Their connection to both manifestation and the arts, make all art forms powerful tools for creating our life if used intentionally. Create, make it real, bring your dreams to life. Get creative! Your life depends on it. Late night, Moon shifts to Mrigashirsha nakshatra, closing out the day with a sense of expansion and reaching towards goals. Today, the Doors close on my Dharma Mentorship! Last chance to work with me directly, align with your potent life path and awaken you dharma. I won't offer this program again until fall of 2016. Say yes to your powerful life and join me. Email Me: [email protected] Saturday continues with Moon transiting Mrigashirsha nakshatra. Moon shifts to Gemini mid morning outside of the gaze of any planets, yet ruling planet of this sign, Mercury, gives its influence from Virgo. Allow Soma and the deep nectar of life to soothe you and whatever ails you. Soak up the nourishment of life and let it seep into your depths. Keep reaching, striving, moving towards goals, desires, aspirations. Let passion stoke your desires for comfort, deep nourishment and healing. What does your heart long for? What does it need for greater safety and support? Move, dance, create and saturate yourself in creative potency today. Late evening, Moon shifts to Ardra nakshatra, and Rudra steps in. Power, force and emotional intensity increase. Sunday, Moon continues through Ardra nakshatra and the strength of storm god, Rudra, brings his dynamism. Ruling planet of this nakshatra, Rahu, currently conjunct Mercury, brings a certain mental body storm. Creativity, currency, connection and communication intensify. How are you using these resources? Where are you maximizing your strength? Where are you diminishing it? Use the power of the mind very consciously and intentionally. Who is ruling who? Create with your storm wisely. The week closes with Moon moving into Punarvasu nakshatra before midnight. Aditi's wisdom and support arrives to usher in deeper nourishment. She brings resources and unity consciousness with her. Align with wholeness and divine flow. Let this theme carry you through Monday as you deepen and drop into greater holding and grounding. As Moon moves into its own sign, Cancer, early afternoon on Monday, we can truly land in our awakened heart more easily. Strip off the veils of illusion and saturate yourself in the purity of the emotional body. *All calculations given are Pacific Daylight Time.

Use action steps to arrive gracefully back to your own being. Moon continues to wane this week, as we near the new Moon. The week closes with a potent new Moon and partial solar eclipse, ushering in a delicate two week period. Monday begins with Moon in the forceful nakshatra, Ardra and transiting Gemini. Ardra's ruling deity, Rudra, intensifies our mental/emotional balance. Can you feel the increase from all sides? Now, more than ever, its vital that you listen to your inner signals and watch for the manipulation of chaos. Take your power back and stand in your center, your knowing. This soft center, where your inner wisdom resides, is the place where your power can not be dismantled. Stay true to your knowing. Get grounded. After noon, Moon shifts to a softer, more sensitive nakshatra, Punarvasu. Ruling deity, Aditi, offers her all-knowing wisdom, insights and awareness that weren't previously available to us. Let her nourishment give you depth, trust and expanded knowing. There is some clean up to do. Listen to your truth. Tuesday carries forward the gentle support of Aditi as Moon continues through Punarvasu nakshatra. Late morning, Moon moves to its own sign, Cancer, joining debilitated Mars and Venus (who is now direct). All receive the gaze of Ketu, the re-structurer. Changes in relationships, heart and emotions arrive. Use the wisdom of Aditi to find compassion and release. Deep feelings can arrive over the coming days so attend to your heart and its needs diligently. When the emotional body swells, it's because it needs to release and let go. Find healthy ways to let the emotions out. If you feel ungrounded, be sure to connect with breath and body for stabilizing. Mid afternoon, Moon shifts into Pushya nakshatra, Brihaspati's domain. The interesting thing about this nakshatra is its seemingly contradictory rulers. Brihaspati is the deity who governs this lunar constellation. Essentially he is the personification of Jupiter, the expansive, nourishing, wisdom giver. However, the planetary ruler of Pushya is Saturn, the contractive, slow, grief inducing planet. As the nourishing star, this nakshatra reminds us of the importance of balance. Both expansion and contraction are vital for any real balance to be experienced. Cancer is the sign Pushya resides in, which is the seat of our emotional body and heart, and the home to our inhale and exhale. Pushya reminds us that the ultimate nourishing breath of life comes with both openings and closings. Healthy boundaries that include yes and no, being a part of this process. As Moon moves through Pushya, today and tomorrow, seek balance. Let your breath be the guide. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Discover how to determine your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish in my free new Moon class. Join the List. Pushya's theme carries us through Wednesday and it will be an especially potent reminder as the mental body tries to dominate and intensify our feelings. Late afternoon, Moon shifts into the final nakshatra of Cancer, Ashlesha. Sarpa and his illusions take hold and provoke mental body intensity. He can bring poison to the mind as well as over-confidence, lack of clarity and deception. Through these challenges, we have an opportunity to awaken and transform. Can we clarify the uncertainty, the confusion? Can we see through the smoke clouds? Can we move consciously through the territory of our mental body without succumbing to its imaginary ways? Avoid the bite of Sarpa and use the darkness for awakening. Where there is pain, there is possibility for change. A gift is hidden inside your darkness. Can you find it? Moon conjuncts debilitated Mars and Venus who is only now starting to move forward in motion. All transit Ashlesha nakshatra in close conjunction. The emotional body intensifies and requires physical grounding for safe landing. Ketu's drishti can bring confusion or awakening. You decide. Thursday Moon spends the majority of the day in Ashlesha and we continue to navigate Sarpa and his ways. Diligently track the mental body and its stories, imaginal offerings and shadowed allure. Can you stay out of its snare? The mind will be responsible for heightening any intense emotions. Land in the body for grounding, stability and embodied wisdom. As evening arrives, Moon leaps through the tricky gap between water sign (Cancer) and fire sign (Leo), causing abrupt and possibly challenging shifts in our emotional body and inner waters. Abrupt change is likely as Moon lands in Magha nakshatra (Ketu and Pitr's constellation) and into Leo. Moon joins Jupiter and Sun in Leo, while Saturn's drishti (gaze) provides contractions and constriction, as well as structure and focus. Saturn reminds us to use the somatic wisdom of the physical body as a tuning fork- especially when life feels overwhelming and un-grounded. The emotions may feel heated and frustrated in the coming days, so let your body share its needs with you. Stay cool and land in your body as much as possible, rather than boiling over. Themes with mother and father, our personal mythology and family paradigms, continue to surface. Are you using these insights for awakening? Or are you pushing away and suppressing the messages? Friday continues with Moon magnifying our sense of power and purpose. Magha and its magnificent regal gifts are offerings from the ancestors- those who have helped you arrive into life and living. We are effected by the karmas of our lineage, just as we effect the family line energetically in the future. Align with dharma and purpose. Connect with legacy and the gifts you are leaving for those who are coming next. Share your light and passion with others! Light up the world. Late evening, Moon shifts to Venus's constellation, the fruitful and sensual, Purvaphalguni. This is the honey blossom nakshatra of the zodiac. It can attract bees to nectar and offers an influx of life force, shakti, the nectar of life. It's a forceful and dominating nakshatra that can bring potent waves of passion with it. Attend to your heart and honor its exploding, amorous feelings of love. As Saturday arrives, Moon is fully situated in the 15th tithi, the final phase of the waning cycle. The silent pull of our inner world is more captivating at this time and can bring nourishment and insights. Let the gentle stirring of your inner realms guide you, follow the longings you have to go slowly, gently and intentionally right now. Purvaphalguni and its ruling deity, Bhaga, provide extreme creativity, sensuality and heart potency. Ride the passionate waves and channel this into creative activities, manifestation and inner healing. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Depending on your location, the new Moon arrives just as Saturday is ending or just as Sunday begins. My new Moon timing is Pacific Daylight, which puts the new Moon at 23:41 Saturday the 12th. Moon is in Leo and Purvaphalguni nakshatra as it completely empties, and Bhaga shares his sensuality with us as well as the power of Sun sign Leo. In many ways, the previous full Moon felt very fragile and delicate and had the essence of a new, inward Moon. This new Moon, however, has a very externalized feeling. It's fierce and powerful and perhaps more like a full Moon in its expression. The challenge of this powerful new Moon is that is coincides with a partial solar eclipse. The eclipse begins at 09:40 PDT and continues until 02:05 on Sunday the 13th. The strongest part of the eclipse occurs around 11:52 PDT on Saturday. The partial solar eclipse begins a delicate two week period that lasts until the total lunar eclipse and full Moon on September 27th. It is never advised to look at an eclipse directly nor be out while it's occurring. (This particular solar eclipse is only visible in South in Africa, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Antarctica). Eclipses are a time to meditate, follow spiritual practices, chant and adhere to rest. Leading up to the eclipse, fasting or eating lightly is traditional. The gap between eclipses is a sacred time where we must be diligent with spiritual matters and notice the messages that arrive. Traditionally, it is not a time to start new ventures or take daring or dangerous actions. It is however a time to reflect, turn inward and work consciously with our shadow parts. After all, an eclipse is showing us the shadow on our Sun or Moon qualities quite directly. The solar eclipse is a shadow to our Sun self, our inner light, the soul. In the coming waxing cycle, be diligent with your masculine energy, ego, father and personal mythology connected to these. This includes being seen, noticed and heard and the outward manifestation of our desires. In fact, manifestation is a huge part of this cycle. For some, blessings and gains may arrive with powerful force and purpose. Others may experience power struggles inside and out. Relationships take center stage. Are you in right relationship with others? This begins with having a very honest and courageous relationship with yourself first and foremost. Get aligned with who you are and what you stand for. Be bold in what you ask for and take a leap towards your power, path and purpose. Trust your inner knowing. Sunday arrives with low tides and the aftermath of eclipse shadows. Mars is now sandhi, in the gap between Cancer and Leo. This tricky gandanta is a challenging place for fire sign Mars to be. Fire leaving water after many weeks, he may feel water-logged and overly-saturated by now. Feelings are full and heavy, emotions are passionate and strong. Actions are slow and there's a sense of treading water. Don't force anything at this time. Allow space, time and deep surrender to take place within heart and mind. The Moon shifts into the latter half of the Phalguni constellation, Uttaraphalguni, just as Sunday begins. Ruling deity Aryaman, one of the twelve Adityas, provides us with resources and support. He is also connected to the ancestors- who provide us with nourishment when our actions please them. He brings sustainability in relationships and lasting support with contracts and unions. Deepen your relationship with self and others today. What new resources, support or council do you need to strengthen your connections? How can you balance giving and receiving, your power and vulnerability? Your inner and outer? Moon moves to Virgo late morning, joining Mercury and Rahu here. The mind becomes a central focus and an addictive force. As Moon tightly conjuncts Rahu today, it's vital we track the inner eclipse dynamics within. Who's in the drivers seat? Stand in your knowing and land in your heart. What shadows are playing tricks on your mind? Early Monday morning, Moon shifts into Hasta nakshatra, tighly conjuncting Mercury. The battle between thinking and feeling may be strong today. How can you find balance between these two inner forces? Let the light come in and bring the dawn. It's a new dawn, it's a new day. What are you creating? *Timing used is Pacific Standard Time Zone.
