Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
Today is the 8th day of Navaratri and the 2nd day of Maha Saraswati in the 9 day celebration of Navaratri. Moon is in its own sign of Cancer in Pushya nakshatra- the nourishing star. Pushya is ruled by the planet Saturn and the deity Brihaspati (Jupiter/Guru). Moon is receiving drishti from Mars and Saturn today. Be mindful of emotions: anger, depression and tension could arise.
Brihaspati is the "priest of the Gods" and also the devaguru Jupiter. Jupiter brings expansion, is benevolent and brings knowledge, wisdom and nourishment. Sometimes Brihaspati is called the son of Agni because of his brilliance- in that shining he is a fire god perhaps. He is aligned with dharma and brings luck, fortune and fame as well as intuitive insight, wisdom, rituals, and good advising abilities. He is known to transform negative thoughts (asuras/demons) into positive thoughts (devas). His transformational abilities connect him to tapas, and perhaps this is his alignment with fire/agni as well.
Let the wisdom come today, though it may have an edge to it. You have the ability to use these edges for awareness, and turn them into positive, expansive understanding. Get out of your own way and dance with the fire.
