Moon is waxing and the week starts off with Moon entering the beginning of the zodiac, Aries. Fresh beginnings and new starts are here! Mercury is retrograde, as is Jupiter, which makes for a sensation of expanding in reverse. Use this time for clean up and organization. *** As of this week, I'll be shifting my posts to reflect my current time zone- Pacific Standard. Please note the changes and updated time difference in regard to your own location. *** Monday, January 26th Today's Intention: Re-new and become new by re-imagining the old. Just minutes after midnight, Moon hops into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra, inviting in the Ashvini Kumara twins. They offer us healing, rejuvenation- and increased creativity as a result. Take action steps today that offer healing and restoration to you. With Moon out of the gaze of other planets, we may feel an increased awakening, room for possibility and greater expansion. The expansion is possible through re-tracing your steps, going over old territory, inviting in the old, but restructuring it to make it new. Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra at 21:39 PST. Tuesday, January 27th Today's Intention: Plot, hunt and focus on your goals with tenacity. Moon transits Bharani nakshatra, Yama and Venus's domain. As the king of dharma, Yama determines whether our efforts are worthy of our time in this life, or whether we missed the mark. His ability to restrain us from overindulgence can keep us from misery. There is a certain one-pointedness available to us today, as well as a warrior spirit. Make sure your energy and efforts align with your long term goals and desires- the ones that have depth and purpose for your life. The auspicious ninth tithi or Moon phase, Navami, is enlivened today. It is connected to the Sun and the deity Naga, which can help us awaken some depth and awareness. Venus moves to Satabisha nakshatra at 20:51 PST, enlivening Varuna, the deity who rules over judgement and deep vision. Varuna handles Natural Law and enforces them by handing us our karmas, our actions and re-actions. It is very important to pay close attention to subtleties at this time, to deeply listen, in order to awaken to the truths of Nature. This awareness can help us re-establish a sense of order in our lives. Not out of fear or punishment, sacrifice or pain, but because we naturally align with Nature and her laws of wisdom and truth. As Venus transit through Satabisha, our inner creative waters can find more grace, fluidity and intensity simultaneously. Use this time to make an impact on your life. Take strong action and do what you know is best for yourself and others. Study the transits, learn the wisdom of jyotish, gather insights for your healing and transformation in my new class series: Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing. First class is this Sunday and registration ends Friday. Sign Up. Moon moves to Krittika, near the edge of Aries, at 21:36 PST. Wednesday, January 28th Today's Intention: Wield your sword with confidence. Moon transits Krittika nakshatra and jumps into Taurus at 03:41 am PST, becoming exalted for a few hours- until late morning. Agni is the ruler of this constellation and offers us a sharp transformation through purification processes. The emotional body fullness will be felt strongly so prepare for emotional diligence today. With Saturn giving direct gaze to the Moon from Scorpio, we can expect an underlying depression or fear to settle in. Mars and Rahu also give their gaze to the Moon, offering a strong edge with a dose of shadow. The mental body plays a role in the experience of the emotions today because of Mercury's conjunction with the Sun (Krittika's ruling planet); this increases our mental sharpness. We can direct this focus into meaningful tasks, or let it take us down the rabbit hole. Don't get caught up in "shoulda, coulda, woulda" today. Be diligent with your 3 level check-in so that you can easily navigate your inner dialogue. Need a reminder about the three levels? Moon shifts to Rohini at 22:06 PST. Thursday, January 29th Today's Intention: Make a greater creative impact today. Moon is considered in its mulitrikona sign as it transits through the remainder of Taurus. This is a place that the Moon can more fully express its creativity, sensuality, charisma and playfulness. Mulitrikona placement offers a planet the ability to express their energy at 75%. As Moon transits through Rohini, creative themes are exemplified. Rohini is ruled by lord Brahma, the ultimate God expression of creativity. By now, we have been feeling the refinement process of Moon receiving gaze from Saturn, Rahu and Mars. Today, we have a more porous experience, and less rigidity than yesterday. Let the wisdom seep into your pores. How is the struggle softening you, awakening you, opening you to possibility? Use this to spark your creative energy and focus your expansion efforts. Expand your creative channels and let the life pulse through you. Moon shifts into Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 23:06 PST. Friday, January 30th Today's Intention: Extend your branches into new realms. Mars moves to Purvabhadrapada today, enlivening Ajaikapada, the domain of Shiva, lord of the dance. It will be our tenacity, our warrior spirit and our action steps, that will help us accomplish seemingly impossible feats in the coming weeks. Ajaikapada stands with one foot firmly grounded, rooted in the earth, while the other foot is lifted, poised and ready to take a step. This represents continual movement, growth and change, as well as balancing the impossible. Symbolically, one foot is firmly grounded in the now, while the other is lifted into the unknown. Use very conscious action steps in the coming two weeks. Be diligent, conscious, strategic and poised for action. Moon transits through the latter half of Taurus and is in Mrigashirsha nakshatra today. The deity of this nakshatra is Soma, while the symbol is a deer head with large, reaching antlers. The ruling planet of Mrigashirsha is Mars, while the deity, Soma is connected to the Moon. The combination of elements and symbols here expresses much movement, change and growth as a result of the constant movement. Like antlers that continue to spread out and expand, then drop off, only to re-grow, we can connect with these cycles of renewal for our own life expansion. This is literally how we are fed and nourished by life. Last day to register for my new class offering, Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing!! Register here. Moon moves to Gemini at 11:45 am PST. Saturday, January 31st Today's Intention: Channel the power of your inner volcano and move mountains. Moon shifts into Ardra nakshatra just after midnight at 00:31 am PST, inviting in Rudra's powerful and tenacious strength and grande emotional waves. He moves things with his strength and ferocity which often stirs our anger and rage. Anger is connected to our power source within and must be treated as a flashing red light of awakening. What slumber do you need to awaken from? What is holding you back? What part of you is holding you back from experiencing your fullness? Now is the time to clear and clean up the mental body. The old stories and illusions that are keeping you from realizing your full potential. Track your mental body diligently today and see where it is causing eruptions. Sunday, February 1st Today's Intention: Expand what you think is possible. Moon moves to Punarvasu nakshatra at 02:21 am PST, and Aditi is ushered in. To smooth out the ruffles of yesterday, Aditi arrives to create expansion and awareness from the rubble within. She knits us back together with her wholeness, her unity consciousness. From this wholeness we get our needs met, we get the nourishment we need and our needs are taken care of. Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing begins today at 3pm PST. Did you register? Moon moves to Cancer at 21:56 PST. Monday, February 2nd Moon transits through its own sign, Cancer, with retrograde Jupiter here as well. Both receive drishti from conjunct Sun and Mercury. Nourishment deepens as we reflect on our deepest needs and desires. What serves us and what is not serving us? What can we clean up within our heart in order to clean up our life and properly expand? My Jyotish Basics Classes begin this Sunday, February 1st! Don't miss out on these transformational and healing classes. Get the details.

Saturn has now shifted into Anuradha nakshatra for the next year. Moon is waxing and brings us a full Moon this week while the Moon is simultaneously exalted. There will be high energy for this one! This week, we also experience Venus moving out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius, reducing some of the pressure within Scorpio. Exalted Jupiter is at the edge of Cancer now; this is our final week until the spring where we will have a forward moving Jupiter. Next week he goes retrograde on the 8th. Read more about Jupiter in Cancer.
Monday, December 1st Today's Intention: Step slowly, step eloquently, step purposefully. Your steps really add up. As of Sunday, November 30th, Saturn moved into Anuradha nakshatra at 08:54 am CST and will be in this lunar constellation for a little over a year. This is a good shift for Saturn to make and it will likely be a valuable transit for helping us put the pieces together in our lives that need to be re-assembled, re-stored and re-aligned, in order for greater wholeness. Since Saturn is in Scorpio, it's very definitely a time of deconstruction, change and transformation, yet with Saturn transiting the friendly star of Anuradha, ruled by Mitra, we have a chance to create some helpful and lasting changes for ourselves- if we are willing and able to work with the finer details of our lives. Mitra is the deity of friendship, so expect him to offer support and resources for building alliances over the course of 2015. Anuradha is ruled by Saturn, so this is a constellation that does well with Saturn's finite abilities. Gain resources through networking, connecting, sharing, being benevolent, speaking the sweet truth. It will, however, be very important to remember the big picture over the next year, as Mitra and Saturn may get us lost in the fine details of life, forgetting the bigger, overall, reality of existence. Read more about the Saturn in Scorpio transit. Moon is transiting Pisces with Ketu there, and receives drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. Moon transits UttaraBhadrapada, enlivening its deity Ahirbudhnya. He is the serpent of the nether realms, who helps us today with uncovering hidden parts of ourselves. He is a Rudra, a strong force of Nature, one that can remove calamities, misfortunes and can help us overcome obstacles. With Moon in conjunction with Ketu and receiving gaze from Rahu, it's important to remember self care guidelines, and pay special attention to your emotional body. Flashes of insight and awareness may arrive today, yet may trigger discomfort. Work with your discomfort effectively, invite it in for a cup of tea, and begin to find a new relationship with your disillusionment. Now's the time to transform your shadow parts with so much energy enlivening Scorpio. Moon shifts into Revati nakshatra at 13:43 CST, inviting in Pushan and Mercury. Pushan offers us safe travels and nourishment along the way. As Moon nears exact conjunction with Ketu late in the evening, we may feel our sensitivity and our fragility increase, and therefor gain greater access to our needs. Use this time for self care and giving yourself sacred space to feel, sense and imagine. As Cyber Monday closes, Ketu (who rules the internet) may bring some sudden and last minute purchases online. Use the Ketu/Moon conjunction to take sudden or swift action steps. Tuesday, December 2nd Today's Intention: All we need is tender loving care. Moon transits Revati nakshatra, but has crossed over Ketu, separating from him now. Nearing the edge of Pisces, Moon prepares to jump into a new cycle around the zodiac. Ketu continues to reflect his light onto Scorpio where Venus, Sun, Saturn and Mercury are currently transiting. This is the sign that is Moon's place of debilitation, thus the past few days have been a strong emotional body reflection time. Many of us have been feeling that intensity and perhaps looking at ourselves under a microscope. This is a good time to balance this extreme introspection with a wide angle lens, the macroscopic view. Seek resources and reflections from others that can remind you of this. As Moon jumps into Aries at 12:52 CST and we experience a sudden shift. This is a tricky junction point for any planet to cross. Not only is it a pivotal crossing from the end of the zodiac (12th house matters) to the beginning of the zodiac (1st house matters), but Pisces is ruled by water, whereas Aries is ruled by fire. Any planet that shifts from water into fire can feel as though it's literally jumping into the fire! Not comfortable. This coupled with the fact that the zodiac begins with Ashwini nakshatra, ruled by Ketu, so we get this lens intensifying our experience for yet another day. Take it easy today and note the delicacy of the Moon, its shift, and the extreme energy in Scorpio right now. Three level check-ins will help you come back into the now and help you name your needs, affirming what will nourish and comfort you. Sun shifts into Jyeshtha nakshatra at 17:44 CST and moves into Indra's domain. Indra rules our senses, so the coming days give us ample opportunities to work diligently with the sensory level of existence. The senses are the very human parts of our being- they bring us to life and they can also over power us, get us into trouble, and destroy us. Indra reminds us to work with them, not against them. We can't neglect them, yet we can't let them run away with us either. Balance is essential. We find balance when we are in right relationship with our senses. How do we do that? Well the first step is to start building a healthy, aware, and conscious relationship with our senses, and our pranic life force, our breath. Working with the 3 levels of awareness will help us name what is arriving in any given moment on the mental, emotional and physical levels of life. Getting embodied is the missing link. Here are some tips. Moon shifts into the 12th tithi today, signifying its fullness nearing. Wednesday, December 3rd Today's Intention: Our vulnerabilities are the source of our greatest power. Moon continues to transit Aries, a Mars ruled sign, and we may be feeling the extra heat. Mars is exalted right now in Capricorn, and four plants are still transiting Scorpio, another Mars ruled sign. We will likely feel this in the emotional body the most, but this may then overheat the mind and body. Take note, less is more right now, and be diligent with your emotional body needs. Listen to its messages! Moon finishes up in Ashwini nakshatra at 12:13 am CST, when it pops into Bharani nakshatra. Bharani nakshatra enlivens Yama and Venus. This is a fierce and transformational nakshatra, connected to death and dying, restraint and also sensitivity. Today we are reminded about our deep vulnerabilities and how to work with them in a very intentional way. Our vulnerabilities are in fact our biggest strengths, and a resource for our greatest center of power. These vulnerabilities are rooted in the second chakra, our pelvis, which is why the symbol of Bharani is not surprising- the yoni. Finding your power center requires standing firmly in the stability of your pelvis. Thursday, December 4th Today's Intention: The nature of life is to grow and progress, and ultimately to find balance. Moon transits into Krittika nakshatra at 11:51 am CST, receiving drishti still from exalted Mars and now in a Nakshatra ruled by the Sun. The emotional body is hot today! With the Moon now in the 14th tithi, our inner tides are high and we are likely feeling the waters within stronger than ever right now as four planets are transiting Moon's debilitation sign, Scorpio. With the water planet, Venus, now perched on the edge of Scorpio, our inner waters are extra sensitive, extra full, extra vulnerable to the many shifts, changes and fluctuations occurring right now. It's not a comfortable time for many! Krittika nakshatra is ruled by Agni, the fire god of transformation who brings us life, literally. Internally, we have many Agni flames that flicker within, keeping us digesting, burning, transforming and changing in order to live life. Externally, our biggest source of Agni is the Sun (hence the ruler of Krittika). Sun is our ultimate transformational resource within our solar system. If we get too close to the Sun we burn, yet without his light, we die. The Sun, Agni and Krittika, all remind us that just the right amount of purification is best practice- not too much, and not too little. Moon jumps into its exaltation sign, Taurus, at 17:48 CST exemplifying the fullness of our emotional body. Moon is also receiving direct gaze from Sun, Mercury and Saturn in Scorpio now. With the Moon exalted, this gives us three planets feeling their fullness right now (Mars and Jupiter as well). This is your gentle reminder to surf the waves. Contain what needs to be contained, purge what needs to be purged, let go of what needs to be let go of. Three level check-ins will help you with the identification process. Moon shifts into its mulitrikona degrees at 23:10 CST, yet still expresses himself at 75%. Friday, December 5th Today's Intention: If you can dream it, you can create it. Mulitrikona Moon shifts into the extremely creative star, Rohini, at 11:47 am CST, enlivening the blessings of Lord Brahma and by default, his consort Goddess Saraswati. This divine couple expresses their influence through manifestation- manifestation from creativity, creative intelligence, and our divine essence which is cosmic creative life force, or shakti. It is on this level of our sacred being that we maximize our potential, not only as a divine being, but as a human being. On this plane of existence, we are here to create our lives, to manifest our dreams into reality, to learn how to create, to literally bring the unmanifest into manifest form. We do this through our second chakra. And this is the power of being embodied. We can't think our dreams into reality, but we can feel and sense our dreams into reality. This is why I am so passionate about somatic awareness and embodiment work. Read more about manifesting through your second chakra. Moon is now in the 15th tithi as Venus jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 16:55 CST. Venus, the creative and passionate planet that symbolizes relationships and the feminine, is in a vulnerable position at this time. Jumping from a sensitive water sign into a fire sign, and right into the challenging nakshatra of Mula. This transit of Venus through Sagittarius takes us through the end of December and will bring a certain discomfort with it, yet a drive to acquire and get material gain. Materialism is not a bad thing- we are after all here in a human form to manifest, create and work directly with our limitless abundance. Yet the wisdom seeking Sagittarius ruled by the guru himself, Jupiter, is not friendly with the asura demon god, Venus. We may find ourselves tangled in the dance of spirit vs. materialism this month. If you are feeling guilt, shame, lack and any aspects of poverty consciousness arrive, I highly suggest working directly with your money problems right now. My favorite technique for overcoming money blockages is the Emotional Freedom Technique. This is a great month to pick of Margaret Lynch's book, Tapping Into Wealth. Saturday, December 6th Today's Intention: Keep reaching towards what nourishes you. Moon is full at 06:26 am CST while in Taurus and Rohini nakshatra. Read my Full Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual for the Waning Moon Cycle. Moon moves into Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 12:07 pm CST, and Soma, divine nourishment, becomes our primary resource. Soma is another name for the Moon, and is connected to the immortal nectar that brings lasting and unyielding nourishment to us. The Moon's rays are said to offer us Soma, as the filtered rays of the Sun, we can assimilate the light as a healing force, rather than a heating and harming force. The gifts of Soma and the Moon have the power for us to get our needs met, to get the nourishment we need and to find the gifts we are seeking. Mrigashirsha nakshatra is a resourceful constellation and it helps us to branch out, reach out, proliferate and expand. Use this as the metaphor for your day. Expand, grow, nourish and be nourished, and let this be healing. Sunday, December 7th Today's Intention: Play big or go home. Just after midnight, the Moon jumps into Gemini. Out of Rahu's gaze now, as well as Saturn, Mercury and Sun, Moon now receives direct gaze from Venus in Sagittarius. Creativity heightens and we may experience more fluidity and flow of resources today- financial, communication, relational etc. As Moon shifts into Rahu's nakshatra, Ardra, at 12:55 pm CST, a powerful shift occurs. Rahu offers his level of intensity, while Ardra's ruler, Rudra, brings a certain ferocity and strength. End the weekend strong, by finishing tasks, projects and to-do lists, but stay out of the mire, emotional snares, and relationship traps. Mental body and emotional body sensitivity will be intensified. Moon is waning, yet still very full of energy. Mind your emotional body wisdom, tend to its needs, and take care of it by channeling intense emotions effectively. Get the emotions up and out, keep them moving, express them in healthy and cathartic ways, but don't dump on others. This intensity carries us through the greater part of Monday, so keep this in mind as you start your week off with a bang! Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Moon is completely full on November 6th at 16:21 CST in Aries and Bharani nakshatra. The Vishva Devas are enlivened when the Moon is in Purnima, fullness. Creativity, light and expression are available to us in greater capacity. With the Moon in Bharani nakshatra at this time, Yama brings an element of restraint and containment to us. He is an enforcer- of Natural Law, of right and wrong, of karma. He insists on transformation and brings it to us through his truth. Everyone at some point will have to face the scrutiny of Yama. He tells it like it is. The harsh realities of life and death. Bharani is therefor considered an Ugra nakshatra- one that is harsh and dreadful. Cutting, executive decisions and abilities are possible, as well as success in destruction and interrupting. There is a strong element of clearing, destroying and removing with this full Moon. There's harshness available for taking care of these tasks. The need for removing the old and outworn, all that is creating our malnourishment, is very strong right now. We are being asked to find a greater sense of balance, while deepening our container, so that we may hold more of the vital nutrients we need for our lives. Our ability to be nourished is directly connected to how much we are willing to remove the old, outworn, unhealthy parts of our lives and work with our shadows. Libra reminds us that there is a flip side to everything and that we must always look deeply into our own mirror- the mirror of other. Every shadow has a gift and can bring us light. All light, has a shadow and darkness as well. When we are willing to dance with all parts of our being, we come into greater balance and wholeness. This is unity consciousness. In this cycle, relationships require and request our re-balancing. They can continue to serve as our resource for deep awakening, for looking at our own shadows and darkness, and the places within us where we need to shine more light. Additionally, the resource of creativity brings us more flow, more life, more love and resources, including money. The pelvis becomes a primary resource once again, so use it as a stabilizing force. And our sense of self, our ego and our ability to resource within our own being, becomes vital in this waning cycle. Embodiment, and listening deeply to the impulses, the messages of our body, is a potent reminder for our path. The physical body, is where we have the ability to harvest our nourishment and the greatest knowing of our needs. Within the junction point of the physical body and the knowing it provides us, is where the felt senses enliven and our emotional body wisdom can be activated. Get embodied and listen closely to the messages that will be arriving in the coming cycle. Intuition will be strengthened once the planets start passing through Scorpio. This balancing act, the stability that we are moving into, moving towards at this time, gets transformed, changed and re-imagined as we near the new Moon on the 22nd. For now, create gentle undulations and ride your own waves, by rooting into your depths. Creative Ritual for the Waning Moon Cycle ::: As I mentioned above, we are working with a dance of balance during this waning Moon cycle. Balance requires that our various needs, wants and desires- the various parts of ourselves- find some integration, some greater sense of wholeness and equilibrium. Libra represents our "other" half, our mirror. Our shadows and light, our depth and our surface, our need for communion and separation, our walk with life and death. Extremes, polarities and difference come into view and provoke us, if we choose, to go deeper into our being. Libra reminds us that we are multifaceted, and have more than one side to ourselves. This is our dance for the waning cycle. Working directly with our two halves- perhaps the oppositions within us. This creative ritual is designed to help bring more synergy within us, more balance. 1) Identify a conflict within your life. What are you aware of within your life that brings up a sense of opposition for you? Maybe it's staying in a relationship or leaving. Perhaps it's losing weight, but uncertainty about how to do that. Maybe you want more money in your life, but it feels impossible. What is the greatest challenge that is present for you right now? Notice how it makes you feel. What sensations in the body arrive when you think of this issue, problem or concern? Where do you feel this arrive in your body? Again, be present to how this problem shows up in your body. Be present to the sensations, body parts, and any imagery that arrives. 2) Create an image of this conflict, this problem, and how it makes you feel, and how your body responds to it. What colors, textures, images and shapes arrive on the paper? Use craypas for this one, as the solid consistency of this medium will help establish the feelings onto the page. Use your creation process to fully translate this life issue for you. Get messy and wild if you need to! Let your image speak to you. If your drawing could talk, what would it tell you? Take 20 minutes for this. 3) Move your image. The next step is to get your problem moving, to get the mass of energy that this life problem poses for you, to shape shift and start flowing more. Look at your image and let yourself be attracted to a part of it that interests you or intrigues you. Perhaps a color, texture, line or shape beckons you. Go there. Then, begin to move this part of your image. Let sounds emerge. Notice the body parts being utilized. Notice the responses in the body as you move and listen for impulses from the body. Let it keep speaking to you and keep following its impulses. Move your image, develop your movements and explore your conflict image through this movement exploration for at least 20 minutes. 4) Harvest from your experience. What pieces of your personal mythology arrived through your image and movement exploration? What resources did you discover through your image and movement exploration? Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. The waxing phase culminates this week on the 6th with a full Moon in Aries. I share details below, but look for a Full Moon Wisdom article and new horoscopes later this week with even more details.
The big shift of Saturn into Scorpio has now happened. Saturn is barely adjusting to Scorpio and still under a degree. My advise from last week about getting embodied is still relevant- and carries through the waning Moon cycle. Stay grounded and in your body as much as possible. Mercury shifts into Libra once again and emotional tides are high with the full Moon, so be aware that life may feel overwhelming, big, expansive and very new in many ways. Take action steps gently, create alliances, and celebrate your path. We are all in for a Scorpio type adventure for the next 2.5 years! If you haven't had a Saturn yagya yet, now's the time! Monday, November 3rd Today's Intention: Loosen the grip you have on yourself. Lighten your load. Moon moves into Pisces at 02:55 am CST, joining Ketu there, while receiving drishti from Jupiter, Mercury and Rahu. Then Moon moves into Uttarabhadrapada at 08:30 am. This awakens Ahirbudhnya, another son of Vishvakarma. He is considered the serpent of the deep, and rules over the nether regions, the hidden realms, and our subconscious mind. He is also a Rudra like his brother Ajaikapada, but he removes misfortune and can grant enjoyment, refreshments and delights. The symbol here is the back legs of a funeral cot, exemplifying the final release, letting go. Fruitful endeavors can be granted, or old struggles can be released. Work with the subconscious mind today and unravel, loosen and release the old tangled webs holding you back from your goals! Venus moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 19:52 CST. Alliances, relationships and the ability to co-create with others, proves especially valuable and important in the coming weeks. Work diligently with partnerships, team building, and giving gratitude for the resources others bring into your life. We accomplish nothing alone. Invite others into your world and accomplish more! Vishaka reminds us that giving and receiving makes the world go round! Mercury nears the edge of Virgo, its sign of exaltation, and is now sandhi. Both Saturn (physical body) and Mercury (mental body) are sandhi right now as Moon (emotional body) nears Ketu (our awakened shadows). Get embodied and stay grounded in the moment as much as possible right now. It's too easy to slip out of the body and get lost in the mind and thoughts. Moon is waxing and in the 12th tithi (Moon phase) now. Full Moon this week on the 6th in Aries! The doors close at midnight tonight on my Early Bird pricing for my Dharma Foundations Course!! Sign up here. Tuesday, November 4th Today's Intention: The journey toward your goals, begins with one step. Moon moves to Revati nakshatra at 06:53 am CST, inviting in Pushan and another level of Mercury to our day. Moon nears exact conjunction with Ketu, so expect some mental sparks today. Especially because Rahu gives his drishti, as well as a sandhi Mercury who is ready to jump into Libra. Mars also gives his gaze, intensifying the heat and fire element. Emotions may be invoked, or provoked today, so be sure to do a 3 level check in for greater awareness about your needs. Pushan insures our safe travels, nourishes our path, and helps us to flourish, prosper and create increase. He is a guardian for journeys that are on the material level and astral level- those beyond the human body. He leads us to abundance and a sense of thriving. Mercury moves back into Libra today at 09:37 am CST, joining debilitated Sun, and Venus there in its own sign. Mercury is here until November 24th. Libra becomes the center of our attention once again, invoking a need for greater balance, harmony and movement in our lives. Relationships, co-creating and nourishing communication are all vital right now. Inspire and get inspired. Seek solutions. In just a few short weeks, our attention and energy will shift to Scorpio, when we will have a cluster of four planets in this sign. Transformations are afoot, but for now, focus on re-centering, re-balancing and re-stabilizing. Wednesday, November 5th Today's Intention: Self care is non-negotiable. Put your needs first. Let healthy boundaries rejuvenate you. Mars moves out of Mula nakshatra at 02:47 am CST and into PurvaAshada, ruled by the Water goddess Apas and the planet Venus. This brings us a shift into greater flow, ease and fluidity- which becomes more possible in our action steps. Sensitivity and feelings are increased, as well as greater invitation for rejuvenation and purification. If you haven't already begun your fall cleanse, now is the time to take action steps toward clearing and cleaning your physical body. It is also vital to be clearing and cleaning your mental/emotional bodies as well. Cleanse from the inside out. But gently, not harshly. The ruler here, Apas, is the water goddess who can increase fluidity and flow for us. Take note if you need more life nourishment, monetary flow, love and creativity. Use this wisdom to get you started. Moon is now in the 14th tithi, nearing complete fullness, and jumps into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra at 05:25 am CST, inviting in another level of rejuvenation and healing thanks to the Ashwini-kumara twins. Their domain includes rasayanas, which bring strength and vitality. Both the creative arts and the healing arts fall under their domain. Moon receives drishti from the three planets in Libra: debilitated Sun, Venus in its own sign, and now Mercury, who is still in young degrees. A strong sense of balance is desired today. Seek solutions and resources for getting your needs met. Moon moves to the 15th tithi at 18:06 CST and the fullness begins! Thursday, November 6th Today's Intention: Be filled. But first, remove all that does not create space for your own fulfillment. Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra at 04:12 am CST, inviting in Yama and another level of Venus to our day, and our full Moon experience. Drishti on the Moon from three planets in Libra is still relevant thanks to debilitated Sun, Venus in its own sign, and now Mercury, who has crossed over the two degree mark. We are still working with a strong need for balance- a general theme for this time period. Work with the stability available from the pelvis in order to ground, and root. Seek solutions and resources for getting your needs met. Invite in flow and fluidity. Be vigilant with second chakra messages. Moon is completely full at 16:21 CST in Aries and Bharani nakshatra. Read more about the Full Moon in Bharani nakshatra and the coming waning Moon cycle. I've also posted my waning Moon cycle Creative Ritual to help you work with the themes of this cycle. Take yourself from flicker to flame, ash to akasha. Moon transits into Krittika nakshatra at 03:21 am CST, inviting in the deity Agni and its ruler Sun to our day. Today invites in a sense of purification, clarifying and a need for greater digestion and assimilation. Use the creative arts and embodiment for increasing the necessary flow and fluidity in your life. Your digestion process has a direct impact on your ability to create, re-generate and revitalize yourself. Work with your fire and its transformational abilities. Today is about shifting, changing and re-creating. Moon hops into Taurus at 09:12 am CST, and goes into its exaltation degrees until 14:30 am CST. As Soon as Moon shifts into Taurus, it receives drishti from Saturn in Scorpio and Rahu in Virgo. Intensity in the body and with our shadows, stirs the emotional body. This position of exalted Moon, however, exemplifies the expansiveness of the emotional body and can bring with it tidal waves. Ride these waves. Purge, release and transform through the wisdom of the emotional body. Use my Creative Ritual to explore the transformational level of your current experiences and conflicts. Saturday, November 8th Today's Intention: Get moving and get creative. Feel your desires, then take action! Moon moves into Rohini nakshatra at 02:58 am CST, enlivening the support of lord Brahma and his consort goddess Saraswati. Moon is in Taurus and considered in its sign of mulitrikona, a strong placement for the felt senses, creativity and self expression. Doubly so because of its Rohini placement right now. Rahu gives his drishti, as does Saturn. This creates some extra pressures on the Moon and increases and heightens the intensity of our feelings. Think of it like an amplification or choppy waters. How can you channel this in a way that moves you, inspires you and gets your creativity flowing? Go bold and start manifesting your desires. Open your channels of creativity and get your life moving! Sunday, November 9th Today's Intention: Sense, feel and reach into your dreams in order harvest your action steps. Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra 03:09 am CST inviting in the deity Soma, and the planet Mars. Divine nourishment, the nectar of life is available to feed us today. Sensing, feeling, reaching and branching out in order to thrive are the resources for our day. Seek the nectar that will nourish you from your depths, to your tips. From feet to head, first chakra (your roots) all the way to your 7th chakra (your celestial being). Don't neglect your roots, for this is the foundation you need for growth and abundance. Mercury moves to Swati nakshatra at 04:48 am CST, which encourages movement and change within our mental body, our communications and commerce. The deity Vayu rules over Swati nakshatra. He is present in breath, prana, as well as wind and air. His ability to move us, shift and change us, can be felt in soft, gentle breezes, or strong, stormy gusts. Working with the ever fluctuating mental body in the coming weeks will be vital. Three level check ins are a must. Harness the winds of the mind and you harness your being. Moon moves to Gemini at 15:29 CST, and receives drishti from Mars. Whenever Moon and Mars connect, there is dance with fire and water. This combination can increase anger, passion, and our attraction to red. It can also bring strength and blessings from the divine mother. Look for the opening, the gift, in the challenges and intensity that arrive. Anger is a potent and powerful gift to receive! Monday, November 10th Today's Intention: Roar like you've never roared before! Moon moves to Ardra nakshatra at 03:58 am CDT, inviting in Rudra and Rahu into our day. Moon receives direct gaze from Mars, increasing the emotional intensity available with Ardra. The morning, and our week, start off with a bang! Rudra brings immense power and strength with him and when he combines with the Moon, this can bring immense emotional currents. This is why Ardra is connected to anger and the ferocity that anger offers us. (Anger is like a big wave, not like a ripple on the water.) Anger is an exceptional gift if used properly. When used improperly, it is a mental body dysfunction. When our anger is resourced from our emotional body wisdom, our sensing, it can be used as a tool of activation, motivation and power. It can be a dharmic gift, a 3rd chakra oriented self empowerment tool. How do you find the gift in anger? Look at the needs it is sharing with you. That need can be a huge source of awakening for you. It takes willingness, action steps and courage to go into the depth of your needs and use them as a personal development resource. Your anger can get you there and Rudra can make this happen. Charge forward today and roar loudly! Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Here we are, after the storm so to speak. Such immense shifts this past week/end. Moon is waning and losing its nectar, its light, drop by drop. The light is lessening now, as we move towards amavasya (emptiness).
Join me on FaceBook during the new Moon for my July New Moon Online Celebration. I'll be offering a special creative ritual, some gifts and incentives for all who enter and so much more. Join me here. Monday, July 14th Moon transits Dhanishta nakshatra and moves into Aquarius at 12:09 pm CDT and is out of the gaze of the other planets. Dhanishta is ruled by the Vasu Devas. These gods bring us shining and prosperity and are connected to jyoti, light. They help us manifest on the material plane of existence. Aum namo bhagavate, vasudevaya calls in this frequency. Rahu and Ketu are in early degrees, still in the sandhi gap, having newly entered Virgo and Pisces. Mars is very young in degrees, having just entered Libra, joining a retrograde Saturn there. Venus gains strength in degrees now in Gemini. Sun moves into sandhi this evening as it prepares to move into Cancer. Multiple planets are doing swift, changeable dances right now. Each of us is likely feeling a mixture of uncertainty and possibility, which offers a sense of excitement. Be sure to take time for the silence and stillness- especially with these planets in sandhi right now. This is sacred ground, where ideas manifest from the Absolute. Go too fast and you'll miss the sacred messages possible right now. There will be plenty of time to take action, but for now basque in the softness and gentle nothingness that is available to us. Gently plant your seeds of desire. Read more about sandhi planets and their impact. Moon moves to Satabisha nakshatra at 22:50 CDT. Tuesday, July 15th Moon transits Satabisha nakshatra ruled by Varuna and Rahu. Varuna guards Natural Law and can heighten our critic as he's known for his judgement. Taking care of health and doing what we know to do, what is best practice and in alignment with universal wisdom, is especially important on Satabisha days. If you find your self in tango with your critic, this is a perfect time to hit the pause button and do a check in. First of all, notice where in the body this critic is working his charm. Do you feel tightness in the chest, shortness of breath or even a headache? The body has wisdom to share with you, so listen up. Start with a three level check in and bring focus to the mental, emotional and physical bodies. Then ask each body for answers: what do I need right now? Find solutions for what plagues with a gentle approach, not forced. The critic often arrives as a form of "protection". What are you seeking protection from? Moon moves to PurvaBhadrapada at 20:30 CDT which invites in a sense of being in two worlds and working with impossible feats. Tonight, take a walk and listen to your feet. Wednesday, July 16th Moon transits PurvaBhadrapada and Ajaikapada is enlivened as well as the planet Jupiter. This lunar constellation refers to a form of Shiva standing on one leg, known as Nataraja, lord of the dance, which essentially refers to this "dance of life" we are all in. What an impossible dance this is! A balancing act, a grounding at times, and a moving and lifting our feet into the unknown at other times- each step uncertain and yet full of potential. What are you stepping towards? What are you stepping away from? What does the path look like as it unfolds in front of you? Listen to your feet for wisdom. Take intentional steps today. Sun moves to Cancer, joining exalted Jupiter there, at 10:58 am CDT. Get ready for passionate, heart expansion in the coming weeks. Sun is in Cancer until 8.17, so enjoy this time of deepening compassion- for self and others. Who and what is teaching you, helping you unfold and develop your heart? Tend to these needs in the coming weeks and rise to the occasion. Rise into service and lead with your heart. Teach, guide and share with fullness, but let your heart wisdom guide you. This is a perfect time to let the emotional body set the pace and choose the direction. Have you joined my FB event yet for the new Moon? I'll be helping you explore the emotional body with creative rituals during the silent part of the month. Moon moves to Pisces at 13:05 CDT joining Ketu there and receiving drishti from Rahu in Virgo, seven houses away. Exalted Jupiter gives his drishti/gaze from Cancer nine houses away. Let sudden expansion and bursts of insight lead you. Moon moves to UttaraBhadrapada at 18:41 CDT, enlivening Ahirbudhnya and Saturn for the rest of the day/night. This serpent of the nether worlds invites us to dive beneath the surface and explore the depth of our existence. Illusions are in our midst and magic is among us. What secrets are you exploring and what are you hiding from? There is power in the subconscious mind which offers many gifts of awareness. Are you listening? Get ready for some veils to lift; it may be quite swift. Thursday, July 17th The majority of the day has us working with Ahirbudhnya and Saturn energies. He enlivens the nether realms with his serpent energy. Her provokes us to tap into our subconscious mind and awakens the dormant Kundalini energy at the base of the spine. Secret, hidden knowledge is all part of his domain. Illusions are in our midst and magic is among us. What secrets are you exploring and what are you hiding from? There is power in the subconscious mind which offers many gifts of awareness. Are you listening? Get ready for some veils to lift; it may be quite swift. Moon moves from UttaraBhadrapada into Revati at 17:30 CDT. Pushan comes to our aid and Mercury is enlivened. The final nakshatra in the zodiac, Revati symbolizes the path, the journey, and protection for this adventure. Pushan offers us nourishment, support and guidance for the path as well as helping us to find our own hidden treasures. As Moon joins Ketu here in Revati, expect sudden shifts and changes for your path. It may just be mentally, but shifts and changes there will be! Invite them in and trust there is nourishment with this newness. Emotional outbursts are likely. What are your needs and how can you get them met in nourishing and supportive ways? Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Friday, July 18th Moon nears Ketu and mental/emotional firecrackers flare. What does your fire dance look like and feel like? Is there a tussle between these two bodies- mental body and emotional body? What is the mind dictating that contradicts with the emotional body? It will be easy right now (too easy) to let the mental body force its agenda on us, which may ignite the emotions and push us towards confusion, anger, or agitation. Hit the internal pause button and do ample check-ins today. What does your mental body need? What does your emotional body need? By 16:30 CDT Moon and Ketu are in exact degrees and the pressure is on. Sparks are flying and helping you expand, open and explore new territory; the new territory of Ketu in Pisces and Rahu in Virgo. Need a reminder of the themes being enlivened at this time? Read more here. For some, there will be some very rich sparks of insight today. Bring a notebook with you and take notes. Pushan is offering guidance for the journey, but don't blame the messenger. Moon makes the tricky leap from Pisces into Aries at 17:00 CDT. The Ashvini-kumara and Ketu are enlivened and the themes of past 24hrs get some further sparks and ignition. Mars and Saturn give direct gaze from Libra, and offer a "lurching" energy with stops and starts. This may invigorate the yes and no dynamic within us, which can lead to confusion and unrest. Are we ready or aren't we? The Ashvini twins offer healing through rejuvenation and rasayanas. There are magical abilities and strength with these healing gifts. Music and the arts are tools that they use as well as Ayurvedic remedies and treatments. The healing arts are in potent form with Ashwini. Tonight, synch up with Saturn's slowness and allow him to slow you down, stop even. Where can you hit the breaks and surrender to the pace of what is? Silence, softness and massage might be in order. As he deepens his retrograde motion before going direct on the 20th, his intensity can amplify. Let him win right now and avoid the frustrations of working against him simply by surrendering to his ways. Venus moves into Ardra nakshatra at 23:18. Relationship matters, creativity, passion, communication intensify and get the strength of Rudra and Rahu through the end of the month. What way will Rudra's strength take you. We may start out rocky or strong. We may end up a bit scarred and tattered, worn and softened. We will definitely learn a finer art of harnessing the passions within us. Don't get windswept, use the winds as a tool. Have you signed up for my new Moon workshop yet? Saturday, July 19th Yesterday's suggestions prevail until 17:11 CDT when Moon moves into Bharani nakshatra. Venus and Yama are enlivened and offer us a sense of restraint, holding back and deliberation. What needs harsh change of direction today? Yama may offer the confrontation we need to address a certain obstacle or blockage on the path. Confrontation brings awareness; then shift and change can enter. This is a poignant and powerful place to arrive. What are you confronting head on today? In your relationships especially. This includes your relationship with your self, and with others. Don't hold back, go into it, directly. Work with what is, what arrives and invite in the investigation. Mars and Saturn give direct gaze on the Moon from their positions in Libra, and offer a "lurching" energy with ample stops and starts. This may invigorate the yes and no dynamic within us; even binary thinking patterns, which can lead to confusion and unrest. Are we ready or aren't we? Are we letting go or clinging? Inviting in the new awareness or pushing it away? With frustration, anger often arrives as well. What are the deeper messages of this frustration and anger? Ask the anger for answers. As Sun moves into Pushya nakshatra tonight at 22:49 CDT, we may get the softening just in time for the answers to arrive. Sunday, July 20th Bharani stays with us throughout the day. Saturn goes direct after months of retrograde motion at 15:02 CDT. This is a remarkable moment when the wheels of time screech to a halt and suddenly begin chugging forward once again. The intensity of the past days and weeks begin to ease as Saturn directs our momentum forward once again. As a retrograde planet goes into its direct motion, it becomes much more intense. We will likely be feeling this lurch forward in relationships and Libra matters for those of us paying attention. Be gentle with your Self and others- and rejoice! Saturn is no longer debilitated and is once again exalted in Libra. We may now begin to feel the blessings of this position- finally! The themes from Saturday prevail until 17:59 CDT when Moon moves to Krittika nakshatra. Agni, the fire of life, is enlivened as well as the Sun. Cut, clear, purge, transform. Now is the time to step into what you want, and step away from what you don't. Likely Saturn's direct motion now will help us find this clarity. Digest, assimilate, seek nourishment and let Agni help you transform what you have been eating in your life (all of it), into useful energy and resources. Be exact. Be focused. Be alert. Be ready to make changes and allow in the transformations. Plan your week in tune with Nature. Never miss my Moon Mind Calendar. Sign up for my newsletter. And if you like this post, please share it!
