Moon continues to wane this week, leading us into the depths of our silence, winter Solstice, and the new Moon- this Sunday on the 21st. The intensity from last week continues for us as the tricky gandanta between Scorpio and Sagittarius is still active, as well as Mula nakshatra- who brings uprooting, change, transformation and endings to us. The new Moon truly brings deep shifts- in order for a new year to be enlivened. Make this time truly intentional. Be sure you are on my newsletter list and following along with my Self Care Challenge this week, culminating with a special free class that will help you resource from your shadows, your depths.
Monday, December 15th Today's Intention: Turn shadow into light. Moon transits Virgo and moves from Uttaraphalguni into Hasta nakshatra at 06:11 am CST. Moon moves into close proximity with Rahu, also in Hasta right now. Hasta is ruled by Savitr and the Moon and brings awakenings to us through light. Savitr rules the first rays of dawn just as the light peeks above the horizon line; fresh light, the moment of awakening, the clarity and truth that arrives with this light. Step towards your light rays today, the shadows are right behind you, but you can dance with both. Sun, our light source, is perched at the edge of Scorpio, opening the challenging gandanta portal between water (Scorpio) and fire (Sagittarius). He makes the leap official at 20:49 CST, jumping into the fire and Mula nakshatra, nirrti's domain. This puts Sun, Mercury and Venus in the transformational nakshatra of Mula until tomorrow morning. Tonight is an intense one- of upheaval and change. If you are feeling unsteady, like your roots are being pulled up from your grounding source, this is why. Ground with a 3 level check in, and take this awareness into gentle movement. Get embodied through somatic wisdom. Self care is non-negotiable right now. Have you joined my Self Care Challenge? Tuesday, December 16th Today's Intention: Plan your life by sensing and feeling into what nourishes you. Moon is conjunct Rahu in the very early hours of the morning for the Central time zone. The shadows are influencing our emotional body and mental body right now and intensifying both our mind and emotions. This is a powerful time in general to look directly at your shadows and intentionally work with challenges, blockages, and the general intensity being shown to us. Use this time to uproot and transform your darkness and bring it to the light. As Moon shifts into Chitra nakshatra at 08:32 am CST, Moon begins to move away from tight conjunction with Rahu and we begin to feel a shift towards action steps, motivation and empowerment. This might show up as anger, rage and increased passion. Look for the message under the fire. Vishvakarma and Mars are the rulers of Chitra and as his name and planetary association suggests, he is a god of action, creation and also creativity. Increased flow and creativity may flood into us as the water planet Venus moves into PurvaAshada nakshatra at 07:56 am CST. This breaks up the congestion of three planets in Mula nakshatra, Nirrti's domain of uprooting, dishevelment and chaos. Venus's shift into PurvaAshada, invites in resources from Apas, the water goddess, which will help us purify and nourish more deeply at this time, while also inviting in a deepening of our senses and feelings. Let emotions flow, the the internal waters within you flow, and keep your inner tides moving. Use embodiment, dance, and the arts as your primary resources as these are ruled by Venus, and they can offer healing and transformation while keeping our internal waters flowing, during this time of shift and change. Moon moves into Libra at 21:28 CST. Wednesday, December 17th Today's Intention: Harness your inner winds, spread your wings and fly. Moon shifts into Swati nakshatra at 10:13 am CST, inviting in Vayu and Swati's planetary ruler, Rahu, to our day. Vayu is the wind god whose high winds bring movement, change, and strength. As one of the eight Vasudevas, Vayu brings illumination and resources to us. Today, look for your inner strength and use it as a powerful resource and reminder of what you are capable of. Have you joined my Self Care Challenge this week? Make sure you are on my newsletter list in order to receive all the updates. This challenge culminates on the Solstice with a powerful online class: Resourcing From Your Shadows. Please join me! Thursday, December 18th Today's Intention: The support you need is already here. Are you allowing it into your life? Moon continues to transit Libra, but changes into Vishaka nakshatra at 11:09 am CST. The dual god force, Indragni and the planet Jupiter step into our day, enlivening a different kind of transformation and change for us. As this dual god expresses, two is better than one! The power and force of Indra, combines with the transformational abilities of Agni, and voila, a super force is created! This is a reminder to resource with co-creation, joining forces and being able to receive support from others. We are not in this life process alone! Transform, heal and shift the relationship you have with yourself, in order to invite in more nourishment from others. Friday, December 19th Today's Intention: "There is a voice that doesn't use words, listen." - Rumi The Moon continues to wane and enters the 13th tithi today. Emptiness is nearing. Moon shifts into Scorpio at 05:19 CST, exemplifying our approach into the darkness and emptiness of the final new Moon of the year while simultaneously being Winter Solstice. The rawness of our inner depths are here, palpable, and should be beckoning us inward. We must not neglect the darkness for the attraction of the light and we must not neglect our light for the compelling draw of the darkness. Rather, integration, union of seemingly opposing forces within us and around us, is the most worthy effort of all. Being able to dance with shadow and light is paramount. Join me for my free online class this Sunday, Resourcing From Your Shadow. Once Moon moves into Anuradha at 11:17 CST, we shift our attention to pieces of the whole. The merging quality of Vishaka transforms us and Anuradha invites in the finer details available to us once with merge, unify and coexist. Mitra, the ruler here, as well as Saturn, help us with structure, fine detail and putting pieces of the puzzle together; essentially, making meaning out of separateness. We do this with love, devotion and wisdom. Moon in Scorpio joins Saturn here and receives drishti from Jupiter and Ketu as well. Moon is in exact conjunction with Saturn around 15:00 CST. The effects on the Moon today offers us a combination of structure, wisdom and change simultaneously. Emotionally this may appear as depression, frustration or anger. Work with the underlying needs of your emotional body and seek the wisdom it is offering you. Don't bypass what arrives. Ground with a 3 level check in, and take this awareness into gentle movement. Get embodied through somatic wisdom. Self care is non-negotiable right now. Saturday, December 20th Today's Intention: Befriend your mind, trust your emotions, listen to your body, embrace spirit. Moon has passed over Saturn now and begins to separate from tight conjunction, but still transits Scorpio. Moon shifts into Jyeshtha nakshatra at 10:40 am CST, inviting in a full dose of Indra and his power. Jyeshta is ruled by the planet Mercury, expressing that our power is most potently rooted in the mind. Yet being able to harness this power is ultimately the source of our strength and abilities. Learning to harness the mental body, its stories, illusions and intelligence, is so vital for our well being. We can't bypass the gifts of the emotional and physical bodies, nor neglect their potency for our existence, though the mind will pull us out of our truest senses and feelings if it gets the chance! Indra reminds us that harnessing the mind, the mental body, and its faculties, provides us with the ultimate strength we need to overcome all challenges and illusions. Sunday, December 21st Today's Intention: Let go and let flow. Let go and let god. Moon is in the 15th tithi, the final phase of the waning cycle. The Moon is now making the tricky gandanta passage, crossing from Scorpio into Sagittarius. Venus, Mercury and Sun have already made this leap and jumped right into Mula, the domain of Nirrti- goddess of uprooting and all things adharmic, against dharma. Moon's passage into this junction point signals the final shift of this cycle, the final transformational piece we need in order to extract the dark nourishment of this time. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 09:26 am CST, joining Venus, Mercury and Sun there already. This puts three planets in Mula until Mercury shifts into PurvaAshada at 13:30 CST today. As Mercury makes this shift, we should begin to feel another level of nourishment arrive to us. This may come as open floodgates, moving internal waters, the creative flow moving within. The mental body may feel flooded with thoughts, ideas, images, imagination. Capture what you can, but let the rest flow out and through you. Use the coming weeks and days to capture the most potent and alive pieces moving through you, but keep the intention of nourishment, release and cleansing. The new Moon is at 19:36 CST with Moon in Sagittarius and Mula Nakshatra. It is the Winter Solstice, the darkest night of the year, when a natural turning inward, towards our depth and darkness, takes place. The need for this turning inward, touching the depth of our darkness, is as natural as turning towards the light. Nature reminds us with her cycles and rhythms, the potency, power and necessity of both light and dark, and our dance with both. This is an ideal time to be working very intentionally with our shadows, our own darkness. Please join me for my free online class this Sunday, Resourcing From Your Shadow. Moon is waxing now. There's been so much movement in the planets in the last few weeks, we are likely all feeling a bit wind swept! The biggest planetary shift of all takes place this week on Sunday, November 2nd when Saturn shifts into Scorpio for the next 2.5 years. Read all about it here.
It is actually quite a delicate time for many- with a lot of intensity coming from multiple angles. Remember to go slow, be vigilant with your self care, and give others some extra compassion. In light of the transformational times upon us, it's time to be bold and clarify your path and purpose. I'm sharing a free class this Saturday in order to help you find your way and affirm your dharma. Get the details here and sign up. Monday, October 27th Today's Intention: Tame your wild horses! Moon transits Jyeshtha nakshatra and Indra, as well as Mercury rule the day. Indra heightens our senses, as well as our sensory sensitivity. He reminds us of the strength we can gain when we can control our senses and learn to channel them more directly. This is power. With Sun and Moon debilitated simultaneously, our sensitivity is more extreme. Pay attention to your subtle needs and listen to your intuition. Make sure your mental body doesn't lead you astray. Use a three level check for awareness. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 18:37 CDT, inviting in some disruptions and chaos. Moon joins Mars here and intensifies the changes. Saturn's drishti on both Mars and Moon increase the pressure and force. There is wisdom coming in the back door with with this calamity and restructuring, so look for the gifts that are arriving. The more space you can clear, the more space there will be for the new. Tuesday, October 28th Today's Intention: Till your soil, pull up weeds, and prepare your inner grounds for new seeds to be planted. Moon transits Sagittarius and conjuncts the fire planet, Mars, while also receiving drishti from Saturn. There's heat and pressure on our emotional body right as a result. There are also blessings from the divine mother available. Look for her gems. As Moon transits Mula nakshatra today, ruled by the adharmic goddess herself, Nirrti, a certain force arrives. Mars is also transiting Mula currently which adds to the intensity. Nirrti's job is to break, uproot, disrupt and dishevel. She invites in chaos and calamity, turmoil and challenges that can take us off course. There is also great wisdom available here, however. Wherever we crack, light can enter. Whatever we loose, makes space for something new. Whatever we let go of, invites in new possibilities. Clearing, cleaning and purification are important today. Make an offering on your altar or do some act of seva, selfless service. Be devotional, in gratitude, and give thanks for your blessings. Moon moves to PurvaAshada at 17:56 CDT and Apas takes over. The water goddess invites in sensing and feeling, nourishment through her flowing grace, her emotional body wisdom, and offers us an ability to rejuvenate. The cleaning and clearing of Nirrti, prepares us for the purification and healing that comes with Apas. Relax in a warm bath, be near water, or dance and allow the body to move fluidly. Wednesday, October 29th Today's Intention: Allow your internal waters to flow. Go with the flowing tides. Moon transits PurvaAshada the majority of the day, moving away from close conjunction with Mars. Apas and Venus help us find more fluidity and grace today, but offer firm guidance in the process. Apas is the water goddess and though water can be gentle, flowing and calming, it can also be a powerful force that gives dramatic shifts and changes. PurvaAshada is actually an Ugra nakshatra- one that is fierce, severe and aggressive. This gives a certain power and force that can bring subtle or big shifts. There is however great sensitivity available today simultaneously. Tender emotions, tears and internal flooding may arrive. Let as much water flow as you need. Let the inner rivers and currents move you, cleanse you and offer a sense of clearing. Use physical body movement and embodiment practices to get your inner waters moving. Moon moves to UttarAshada at 16:58 CDT and the Vishvadeva's are ushered in. Righteousness and "doing the right thing" offer us some wisdom for questions or concerns we may be turning over. Dream your dreams and dream well. Moon moves into Capricorn at 22:41 CDT. Thursday, October 30th Today's Intention: Step into yes and invite in possibilities, hope and change. Moon transits Capricorn and UttarAshada nakshatra, receiving drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. The Vishvadevas, or all-gods, remind us of strong character traits, doing good, and overcoming our obstacles through dharma and honorable action steps. Today we are given the opportunity to shift from struggle into ease, if we accept and surrender into willingness. What are you resisting? What are you making more difficult than it should be? What can you release in order to lighten your own load and invite in possibility, hope, and a brighter future. Just say yes for a change. Have you signed up for my free Dharma Class yet? Moon moves to Sravana at 15:46 CDT and Vishnu's expansion brings openings and depth to our awareness. Friday, October 31st Today's Intention: Step, sparkle and shine. Dance your dreams into reality. Moon transits through Sravana, still receiving drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. Vishnu's expansive nature invites in openings, space and good fortune for those willing to take action steps. Sravana is symbolized by three footprints, representing the three steps Vishnu took through earth, sky and heaven. Two of these steps were visible and the third was beyond the tangible realms. Vishnu is expansive and all-pervasive like akasha (space). Both akasha and Vishnu are connected to dharma (which is passed through knowledge that is heard, thanks to akasha). Use the wisdom of the day to affirm and confirm your dharma, your path, your purpose. Take action steps that will bring you closer to your brilliance, your precious life. Moon moves to Dhanishta at 14:22 CDT, inviting in the Vasu Devas and an extra layer of Mars. It's time to shine brightly and use your brilliance to attract what you need. Use your potent, creative energy to create a life worth living. The best way to do this is through embodiment. Use a three level check in to harness your inner awareness. Not sure where you are going or what you are doing? Sign up for my free Dharma Class! Saturday, November 1st Today's Intention: Express yourself. Share your gifts and sing your songs. Shine your brightest! Moon transits Dhanishta nakshatra, moving into Aquarius at 01:37 am CDT. Aquarius is a sign connected to the 11th house of gains and losses, and is co-ruled by Saturn and Rahu. Aquarius brings us the silver lining, the flip side, awareness beyond the surface. Use this as a resource today. The rulers of Dhanishta are the Vasu Devas, who bring us wealth, prosperity and the ability to shine. The shadowed side of this is judgement, an overly critical nature, and seeing wealth as the source of evil. Where are these shadows lurking within you? How can you flip the light switch on them and turn them into a gift, an asset, with more consciousness and awareness? Not sure where you are going or what you are doing? Sign up for my free Dharma Class! Sign up for my free Dharma Class! Sign up for my free Dharma Class! As Moon moves into Satabisha at 12:49 pm CDT, we may notice a shift. The judgement of Varuna may amplify and the critic may come out to dance with us. Dance with your shadows intelligently. The immense knowledge and awareness of Satabisha can cause our sixth chakras and the mental body to go into overdrive. This is a reminder to soften into the heart, invite in the felt senses and the emotional body wisdom, so that you can feel your life, not think your life. You invite in your greatness with this softening. With Mercury and Rahu so close right now, this reminder is extra important! Sunday, November 2nd Today's Intention: Release and let go. Inhale. Exhale. It's all an act of balance. Saturn makes his monumental transit into Scorpio at exactly 06:00 am CDT and will be less than a degree until November 11th. This heightens the delicate nature of Saturn and it's strongly advised to be working diligently with self care and embodiment practices while he is still sandhi, in the gap. This lasts until November 19th. Read my full article on this 2.5 year transit of Saturn through Scorpio. Moon transits into Purvabhadrapada at 10:10 am CDT and Ajaikapada steps into our day. He is connected to tapas, rituals and purification. He is a son of Vishvakarma (the celestial architect of action) and is considered a Rudra- one who can create big movement and change. Ajaikapada is also understood as an incarnation of Shiva, Lord of the Dance. He is stepping, dancing, balancing, one foot at a time. He can balance impossible feats and allows us to experience beyond the material plane of existence through release and letting go. Monday, November 3rd Today's Intention: Loosen the grip you have on yourself. Lighten your load. Moon moves into Pisces at 02:55 am CDT, joining Ketu there, while receiving drishti from Jupiter, Mercury and Rahu. Then Moon moves into Uttarabhadrapada at 08:30 am. This awakens Ahirbudhnya, another son of Vishvakarma. He is considered the serpent of the deep, and rules over the nether regions, the hidden realms, and our subconscious mind. He is also a Rudra like his brother Ajaikapada, but he removes misfortune and can grant enjoyment, refreshments and delights. The symbol here is the back legs of a funeral cot, exemplifying the final release, letting go. Fruitful endeavors can be granted, or old struggles can be released. Work with the subconscious mind today and unravel, loosen and release the old tangled webs holding you back from your goals! Venus moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 19:52 CDT. Alliances, relationships and the ability to co-create with others, proves especially valuable and important in the coming weeks. Work diligently with partnerships, team building, and giving gratitude for the resources others bring into your life. We accomplish nothing alone. Invite others into your world and accomplish more! Vishaka reminds us that giving and receiving makes the world go round! Mercury nears the edge of Virgo, its sign of exaltation, and is now sandhi. Both Saturn (physical body) and Mercury (mental body) are sandhi right now as Moon (emotional body) nears Ketu (our awakened shadows). Get embodied and stay grounded in the moment as much as possible right now. It's too easy to slip out of the body and get lost in the mind and thoughts. Moon is waxing and in the 12th tithi (Moon phase) now. Full Moon this week on the 6th in Aries! Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. For many this is a very challenging time. I want to remind you that we are still in between the eclipses, and nearing the Solar Eclipse on the 23rd. This solar eclipse occurs during Diwali, the celebration of light in the Vedic Calendar (more about this below). With four planets in Chitra nakshatra, Mars is really strongly activated right now. Our anger/agitation, critic/judge, sense of righteousness and inner fire may be aggravated. There is a natural piercing and cutting happening on multiple levels. The veils are thin- and if we are really paying attention we should be seeing our shadows, like never before. Pay attention, but don't necessarily respond or act until after the eclipse cycle has passed. Trust that your pieces will fall more naturally into place once the dust settles a bit. Until then, remember small action steps, embodiment, breath awareness and self care. Monday, October 20th Today’s Intention: Dance and paint your visions into reality. Moon moves into Uttaraphalguni, at 11:47 am CDT, inviting in Aryaman for our day, with an extra dash of Sun. Resources, creative and otherwise, are offered to us today. Stability, support and ancestral assistance arrives. This is a star that offers sustainability through relationships, partnerships and connections. It’s the work and effort we put into them that provides us with lasting nourishment. This is a time of asking for what you want and need. Be willing though to put in the necessary effort it takes for your efforts to be worth it. The work you do now, will pay off for you and your lineage in the future, so make your steps count. Continue working intentionally with your potent creativity. Creativity is your power, your stability in this life. It is our reason for life and living. Use your creativity to affirm and confirm what you want in your life and who you want in it. Let the arts serve as the tool for awakening your sleeping creative forces. Dance and paint your dreams into reality and capture the aliveness, the potency, the shakti, of your creative life force. Moon enters the 13th tithi (Moon phase) today, moving towards complete emptiness this week with the new Moon. Retrograde Mercury (now in its position of exaltation, Virgo) is closely conjunct Rahu, our shadows. Mind is being highly influenced by our shadows right now. With Ketu's direct aspect, expect the mental body to be cracked open. Let in the light and look for resources. As Moon hops into Virgo at 18:25 CDT, the mental body and emotional body intensify this dance- as well as our fragility. The major planetary shifts have passed now until Saturn moves into Scorpio on November 2nd (an article on this transit will be out later this week). For now, Libra continues to force our attention, asking us to confront our issues about balance, relationships and getting the support we need. Exalted Saturn is poised for change and in the gap now, sandhi at over 28 degrees. Debilitated Sun forces us to confront issues with ego and our sense of Self. While Venus in Libra (it's own sign) increases our ability to find more flow, possibility and resources for balance with these themes. Creativity (Venus's domain) is an essential resource for finding new possibilities and literally re-creating your life. Be intentional with your creative process right now. Tuesday, October 21st Today's Intention: Don't be afraid to be broken open. Light enters through our broken places. Moon transits Virgo, conjunct retrograde exalted Mercury. Retrograde planets intensify the indications of the planet, while a retrograde planet in its sign of exaltation becomes debilitated (uccha banga). This is a very interesting combination we are experiencing right now. As this delicate, debilitated mental body is confronting its shadows head on, we are likely to feel our shadows intensify with mind games included. Mercury and Rahu are in exact conjunction in the very wee hours of the morning. This may be a time where our mental turmoil is exacerbated as well as phobias, fears and psychic disturbances. As Moon joins this combination, we may be overwhelmed by emotional triggers as well. I can not overemphasize the need for embodiment at this time. Keep it small, affirming and gentle. Use a three level check in to name the issues coming up for you and try to separate the messages and needs of each body- mental, emotional and physical. This check in is a very concrete step to help us work directly with our internal "pause to check" system. I also suggest using some EFT (emotional freedom technique) to calm any increased fight or flight coming up for you at this time. Do not push yourself right now. Less is more. Moon moves into Hasta nakshatra at 14:10 CDT and Savitr offers a bit of light. This light may intensify the reflection coming towards us, or it may offer a glimmer of hope and possibility. Savitr brings insights and new realizations which may be stunners. The hands are a primary resource for this nakshatra. Use the hands to enliven the light and awareness available to you. This may be through creativity and the arts- working with clay, painting, etc. I suggest creating a dance and some body movement that begins with the hands. Use the hands as an entry point for your dance and let their function- grasping and releasing- be a metaphor for your life process. What are you grasping and holding? What are you releasing and letting go? Practice the opening and closing as you work with the hands directly. Use Gayatri Mantra to induce more light and magic. Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥtát savitúr váreṇ(i)yaṃbhárgo devásya dhīmahidhíyo yó naḥ prachodáyāt Wednesday, October 22nd Today's Intention: Make your action steps count. What is good for you is good for others. Moon jumps into the 15th tithi and Chitra nakshatra. Moon is almost completely empty as we near our final eclipse of the year. Moon in Chitra puts five planets in this Mars ruled nakshatra- Moon, Mercury and Rahu are in very close conjunction. Use yesterday's information to walk through your day. Chitra is ruled by Vishvakarma, the builder, the architect of the cosmos. He helps us with our action steps, making them potent and powerful. As his name denotes, action is a part of what he offers us. Since he is also an Aditya, he can provide us with resources for our life. He is often considered an incarnation of Lord Brahma, the god who brings the unmanifest into manifest form. Great karma yoga can happen with Vishvakarma. This is an essential reminder right now during the current planetary intensity. Be of service to others, let seva be a driving force for you and your actions. How can your actions serve you and others as a divine offering? Ultimately, this is dharma. Actions steps building upon your action steps. Surrender to the process. Use your creativity to expand the actions you take. Sun and Venus are in exact conjunction today, creating a combustion, excess heat and torching our creative energy. Watch for burnout, excess fatigue. Notice where you are pushing too hard and missing the messages of this delicate time period. Relationships are vulnerable right now as well as our creative fluidity. Self care and extra nourishment is essential. Thursday, October 23rd Today's Intention: Light your candle, even if it's only a tiny flame. Retrograde, debilitated Mercury moves back into Hasta nakshatra, inviting in a sense of light and flicker of wisdom. Ask Savitr for guidance and inspiration. Let mind and hands work together in the coming weeks. Hand eye coordination is maximized during this time period. Use the arts to increase this potential; playing music, painting, drawing, writing, can all increase the light within. We may feel some increased hope and possibility today because of this transition- as well as through the other significant changes today. Moon moves into Libra at 04:52 am CDT, joining debilitated Sun, combust Venus in its own sign, and an exalted yet sandhi (in the gap) Saturn. The instability of the times may intensify our sense of burnout today. Move towards the resources and seek moments of pause that can be a resource for you. Relationships, our sense of balance, our stability and support may feel uncertain and off balance right now. I encourage you to look for the smallest of resources and let this help you build resilience. Don't force outcomes right now. Ease forward gently. Diwali (or Deepavali) is a very significant five day festival in the Vedic tradition. This year, the festivities begin on the 18th in the USA, and continue until the 25th. The most significant day of the Diwali festivities is today because of the new Moon. This is a celebration of light, of Lakshmi, and our divine resources. The festival of light spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. As the solar eclipse is occurring simultaneously, we literally are experiencing an eclipse of our light, our solar energy, our soul. Today, let in the light, the abundance that is present in your life- no matter how small or nuanced. Turn on the light switch of your soul and let this be a poignant moment, intentionally driving out the shadows and inviting in more light to your life. Possibility, hope and joy are significant resources. Honor Lakshmi, light a candle at your altar and invoke her spirit of abundance and wealth. New Moon is at 16:57 CDT while Moon is in Libra and Chitra nakshatra. Moon moves to Swati nakshatra at 17:31 CDT. The partial solar eclipse begins at 17:00 CDT and continues until 18:52 CDT. A lot of movement and shifts are happening within this two hour time frame. Use this time for meditation, invocation and setting intentions if possible. Swati nakshatra increases shadow, movement and shape shifting. The rule of Swati, Vayu the wind god, increases these tendencies. Symbolically, this partial solar eclipse ushers in the next waxing cycle for us. This is a cycle that brings essential balancing for the pieces of our life that have been causing upheaval. The balance occurs once we slowly sift and settle into our new choices and action steps. Digestion and assimilation of the past month bring the stability we are seeking. Finding the most nourishing morsels of our lives and what our greatest needs are, becomes our driving force. Transformation becomes the nourishment, as well as instigates the nourishment we need. Seek transformation and let new resources feed you. Your emotional body is a vital resource for making wise choices and action steps. Whatever your intuitive knowing offers you- go there. Use this wisdom to guide you. Restructure the way you offer yourself, how you share your wisdom. Shift the way you seek wisdom and knowledge. Invite in innovation. Let the body be a primary creative resource for you. Resource from the wisdom of the body. Listen deeply and ask your body to give you the guidance you are seeking. Pelvis and hips can be a resource for informing the way you dance with stability, support, moving forward and containment. How can you move forward with greater stability and support? Read more about this in my New Moon Wisdom article. Friday, October 24th Today's Intention: Listen to your internal winds for vital physical body messages. Surrender to the winds of change. Moon transits Swati nakshatra, ruled by Vayu and Rahu, increasing movement, change and transition. There is a certain intensity with this nakshatra because Vayu is a Rudra. Strength and fierceness are invoked. This lessens the intense stalemate of planets in Chitra nakshatra that we've been working with for the past days and weeks. But now, swift movement and change are inevitable. Vayu is connected to prana, our internal winds and vital life force. Vayu is worshiped as the "breath of the gods". We are each touched by gods breath through Swati nakshatra. Speak, move, invoke this divine life force. Let it move you and help you create your new dance, your new direction. Venus moves into Swati nakshatra at 05:35 CDT and the shift from multiple planets in Chitra, shifts to multiple planets in Swati. This shift invites in creative movement and change. Changes and shifts with our relationships, our sense of balance and stability. Creativity, and its constant flux, flow and change, is our stabilizing force. Ground. Keep working with the pelvis as a resource for stability and creative vitality. The close combustion of Venus and Sun continues as Venus chases the Sun. Heat and passion intensifies so watch for sparks and aggression. Just after midnight, Sun shifts into Swati nakshatra as well. Sun in Swati nakshatra invites in a two week period of big shifts and changes as Saturn moves into Scorpio for the next 2.5 years. Sun invokes these shifts, the movement and the winds of change. Since Vayu is one of the eight Vasudevas, who are sources of illumination, there is light and inspiration that can arrive as well as resources. These resources and inspiration should be linked to dharma and Vayu will give the support we need to increase this nourishment. Since wind cools things off, we may notice a coolness or a detachment in ourselves emotionally at this time. Don't forget to check in with your emotional body during this time period as we may be missing vital messages. Use a three level check for resourcing. Moon shifts into Vishaka nakshatra at 18:27 CDT, invoking Indragni and a need for alliance and support systems. Saturday, October 25th Today's Intention: Let the shape shifting begin! Moon transits Vishaka nakshatra and Indragni orients us towards alliances, support systems and co-creation. Work with a sense of togetherness, and how to resource with connection and the nourishment we can receive from building relationships. There is much symbolism with the alliance of Indra and Agni. These dual gods remind us that two heads are better than one. That we need a hierarchy of power in order to thrive, and that we all serve each other, no matter the hierarchy. There is a connection to the altar here as well, making offerings to the divine, and the transformation that occurs when we do this act of worship. Alchemy, the transformation process of our offerings, is heightened today. Take note of what you are offering, how you are offering it, and to who. What shifts need to take place and who can you align with to increase its power and potency? Moon moves to Scorpio at 12:51 CDT. Mercury goes direct today at 14:13 CDT, returning him to his exalted status in Virgo. Technically he is considered "in his own sign" as he's over 15 degrees right now, but this strength should help with mental matters, commerce, business and finances, as well as creativity. These issues start to move in a more forward direction for us now. Moon moves to Anuradha nakshatra at 18:55 CDT, and Mitra enters our awareness. Sunday, October 26th Today's Intention: Don't get lost in the details. Moon transits Scorpio and Anuradha nakshatra today, enlivening Mitra and his precision. Moon receives drishti from Jupiter and Ketu. Both Sun and Moon are debilitated right now. This can be a very inward time of introspection, and may result in a lack of external focus. This tendency is increased as Moon is still small in the fourth tithi, though waxing now. Use this time to quietly restructure your visions and goals instead. Plant your seeds of desire and motivate energetically for your future. Mitra is an Aditya, known for giving resources and material support. He is a form of the Sun and relates to friendship, companionship, connections, and fine details. Anuradha can help us with alliances, connections, and building resources through our relationships. Moon moves to Jyeshtha nakshatra at 18:58 CDT. Indra's sensory sensitivity and overall strength help us overcome some obstacles. Tend to your wild horses (your senses) and don't let them run away with you. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Moon is waxing and just passing the half way point of the bright half phase this week. We have high potency in the planets right now with exalted Jupiter, exalted Saturn, exalted Mercury and Sun in its own sign of Leo. Midweek, Mars moves to its own sign, Scorpio. This is a time to activate!
Monday, September 1st Today's Intention: Attention and intention will take you far. Look within and be gentle with your self and others. Take alone time in order to listen to your inner messages. Moon transits its debilitation sign, Scorpio, in Anuradha nakshatra, receiving drishti (gaze) from exalted Jupiter and Ketu. Moon is waxing and in the 7th tithi (phase) today- the half way point in the bright half of the cycle. Debilitated Moon, softens the Moon, turns it inward and creates high sensitivity as well as strong intuitive potential. Slow down to listen to your inner messages. Anuradha nakshatra is ruled by Saturn and Mitra, who rules friendship and fine detail. He gives support, companionship and represents allies and assistance; he protects us. Mitra rules the day and is in constant renewal and transformation; he likes travel and changes in location just to keep things interesting. His penchant for fine detail offers us the ability to see beyond the surface, to notice nuances and enjoy finery. At times, Anuradha can also heighten the critic, as it's a star that sees so much. Today, attend to details and tackle to-do's. If you find your self lost in the small, fine details, zoom out and remember the big picture as well. Connect, share, and be pleasant to others. Share the abundance that you are naturally. Bring presence to your critic and don't let it attack others, or your self. Be gentle with what you see today, inside and out. Tuesday, September 2nd Today's Intention: Be mindful of your mind games and your senses. Tend to overwhelm and extra sensitivity with self nourishment and self care. Mars is sandhi, at the edge of Libra, ready to jump into Scorpio. The ongoing tension between exalted Saturn and Mars may intensify in the next few days as planets leaving signs tend to increase their effects. If you are feeling extra frustrations with the stop (Saturn) and go (Mars) energies, surrender to Saturn's need for slow and steady! Moon moves into Jyeshtha nakshatra at 07:37 am CDT, enlivening Indra and Mercury. Indra is the king of the devas and brings strength to all his endeavors. He is particularly connected to dharma, prana (our life force energy) and our senses. As Mercury is enlivened here (and currently exalted conjunct Rahu) the mental body gets an extra kick. Debilitated Moon in Scorpio creates extra sensitivity with the senses. Find ways to nourish the mind today without letting your senses get overwhelmed. Protect yourself from the onslaught and bombardment of too many screens and sensory overload. 3 level check in? Wednesday, September 3rd Today's Intention: Cut, clear and purge. Lighten your load and simplify yourself and your life- in mind, body, emotions and spirit. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 07:01 am CDT, while Nirrti and Ketu incite sudden change and disruptions. Saturn gives drishti to the Moon here and may create an extra level of frustrations- so be aware that extra time will be needed to accomplish tasks today. With Mars poised to jump into Scorpio, teetering at the very edge of Libra now, our actions may feel misaligned or nonexistent, increasing agitations. Plan for calculated action steps and go slow. Nirrti is famous for her dishevelment and adharma. She uproots and disrupts, bringing disturbances with her. Today is an ideal day for cleaning, purging and letting go on the mental, emotional and physical levels of life. Clean out the closets of your mind and your home. Find ways to simplify and cut attachments. Feeling pains and suffering? Look here for what needs to be cut the most. Exalted Jupiter makes his big leap into Ashlesha nakshatra at 11:18 am CDT today; Mercury and Sarpa, the snake god, enliven. Let your mind blossom and unfold in the coming months. Need a reminder about this expansive and enlightening Jupiter transit? Read part 2 of my Exalted Jupiter article here. Thursday, September 4th Today's Intention: Let your creative flow activate the flow of abundance; the abundance in and around you, flowing towards you and through you. Moon moves into PurvAshada nakshatra at 05:45 am CDT and our internal waters desire more flow with Apas and Venus's encouragement. The flow will require effort and direction however. How are you directing your creative energy? Your cleansing and purifying capabilities? Are you tending to your emotional body wisdom and its needs consciously and directly? See if you can find the valve on your heart to open the channels of love, then let more love flow towards you and from you. Where does your life need more flow and fluidity? What needs and self care can help you fill your cup more fully? Drink in the abundance of life and the nectar available to you. Revisit my new Moon creative ritual for some creative activation. Mars finally steps into its own sign of Scorpio at 15:27 CDT and gets drishti from both Ketu and exalted Jupiter here. The long drawn out tensions within Libra over the past many months (both with the Saturn/Rahu conjunction and more recently with the Saturn/Mars conjunction) finally dissipate. Take a breath. Take a pause. Give gratitude for new action steps! Need a reminder about the dance of Mars in 2014? Read more here. This transit of Mars through Scorpio is one of depth and insight. Move towards your desires and be aware of where you're holding back out of fear. Don't let the past haunt you, let it inform and inspire more conscious action steps. Take bold steps and activate your desires in the coming two months during this transit! Wisdom comes from your depths. Strengthen your inner trust and sensitivity. Mercury moves into Hasta nakshatra at 17:58 CDT. Let the exaltation of Mercury, the mind, and Savitr, the god of dawning and awakening, open doors for you in the coming weeks. Start something! Listen to the sparks of imagination and the intuitive guidance coming to you. Trust the light within you to show you the way. Use Gayatri Mantra for activating magic and miracles. Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥtát savitúr váreṇ(i)yaṃbhárgo devásya dhīmahidhíyo yó naḥ prachodáyāt Friday, September 5th Today's Intention: Direct your creative energy intentionally in order to maximize your efforts. Don't do too much. Instead, do less with more greatness. Moon moves to Uttarashadha nakshatra at 03:53 am CDT and the all-gods, the Vishvadevas, arrive on the scene as well as an extra layer of Sun energy. At 09:20 am, Moon moves into Capricorn, receiving drishti from exalted Jupiter and Rahu. The Vishvadevas insure our success and prosperity and give us resources in order to find our talents and fortune. Sun is strong in Leo right now and the planets are potent in general. Use this time wisely. Be alert and be poignant in your actions right now. Listen to the messages and internal guidance that you are receiving. Get quiet and check in with your inner knowing. Trust your sensitivity and harvest with the 3 level check in. Creative power is very high now that Venus has moved to Leo, joining Sun there. Don't waste your energy flitting around, doing too much, and in too many different directions. Concentrate your efforts, your energy and power in order maximize this time period. Be direct and focused and don't burn yourself out with too much work. Temper your hard work with self care. Saturday, September 6th Today's Intention: Take three intentional steps today. Activate with careful action steps and listen to your internal messages. Moon moves to Sravana nakshatra at 01:31 am CDT. Vishnu, akasha (space) and Moon are the qualities of this lunar constellation. Vishnu and his travels through earth, sky and heaven (the three realms), gives us triples and threes today. How can this be a metaphor for your actions, visions and dreams? Plan, take action and enjoy! Use your day of Saturn to attune and attend to your body. Get embodied and use the wisdom of your body to offer insights and necessary balance. Listen carefully to the inspiration and omens that arrive along the way. The akasha element inspires transmission of knowledge and wisdom through hearing. Are you listening? Revisit one of my workshop MP3's for inspiration. Moon moves to Dhanishta nakshatra at 22:48 CDT. Sunday, September 7th Today's Intention: Let wealth and abundance grow within you by holding onto the somatic sensations of nourishment and success. Then use this felt sense to create your dreams. Moon transits Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas come out to play with a kick of Mars. Boom! Moon is expanding and now in the 13th tithi, nearing fullness. Energy is high and maximized as we have three planets exalted and two in their own signs. The Vasus bring wealth, fame and shining to us; they come from jyoti (light) and are the originators of jyotish (the science of light). If you desire wealth, then worshiping the Vasu Devas is important as they are connected to prosperity. Get creative today and let your creativity activate manifestation of your desires on the material plane of existence. What do you greatly desire, want and need in your life for more harmony, satisfaction, comfort and nourishment? Make your list- but painting it, singing it, and dancing it is even better. Go beyond the mind and get it attuned to the emotion/intuitive body and the physical, somatic wisdom within you. How does your abundance feel in your body? Let this feeling intensify and grow. Keep coming back to the somatic sensation of your nourishment, support and fulfillment. This is the Vasu Devas in action! OM namo bhagavate vasudevaya Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Many people are feeling the escalating tension between Saturn and Mars in Libra at this time. Remember the dynamics of Saturn which are stop/slow and Mars which is action/go. These two opposing forces remind us to be very intentional with our actions/inactions. Because of their transit through Libra, the ultimate goal is balance; we may find this most important within our relationships.
With three planets in Cancer right now (exalted Jupiter, Sun and Mercury and Venus joining them this week), there is a strong emphasis on our heart, emotions and the dynamics of open/close and boundary work. This time period reminds us to be present to our emotional body, to consciously navigate its needs and to soften to the awareness that it can bring us for our life, relationships and overall well being. If you are really feeling the intensity, you will especially want to pay attention to your emotional work and let it inform your process. With Ketu's drishti on Cancer, the effects of our sudden awareness through the emotions can be startling, but essential- for our moksha and self development. No spiritual bypassing, no cutting and pasting over them, no negating your feelings and emotions. Be brave, go into the felt sense with courage and intention. Use my workshop mp3's for further guidance and harvesting. Moon is full this Sunday in Capricorn! Our emotional cups will be full to capacity and likely some challenges and hurdles in store as a result. We are all going feel a sense of "bigness" in so many ways this week! Using 3 level check ins and your creative work this week will be essential. Monday, August 4th Moon moves deeper into Libra, sandwiched in between Mars and Saturn, nearing conjunction with Saturn in the early parts of the morning. Moon is in exact degrees with Saturn at 05:28 am CDT while both are in Vishaka nakshatra. As Moon separates with Saturn (and also Mars), moving towards the edge of Libra, later in the day, questions and issues around stability and support continue to surface as themes. IndraAgni rules Vishaka. A dual god, this dynamic duo of Indra and Agni, embodies the necessary partnership between king (Indra) and Priest (Agni). They intimately rely on each other for support, nourishment and sustenance. Without the priest performing sacrifices at the portal to the gods (the altar), the king will lose his power and sustainability. This co-creative partnership is reiterated in the food that we eat (mouth being portal opening) and the necessary transformative powers that Agni uses to digest the food in order for our nourishment and life giving support. There are many examples of this type of increased power when we join a partnership. Right now, we may be questioning what these support systems are within our lives. Who and what feels supportive and helpful, nourishing and of value. What relationships provide sustenance and sustainability? What relationships do not? What sense of balance and recalibration needs to happen in order for life to be more easeful? What are the healthy and nourishing alliances in your life and which ones need to be let go for good? Finding ways to navigate the inner and outer landscape right now is the name of the game. Moon moves to Scorpio at 18:39 CDT, receiving drishti from Jupiter and Ketu. Tuesday, August 5th Moon transits its debilitation sign, Scorpio, moving into Anuradha nakshatra just after midnight CDT. Whenever Moon transits through Scorpio, we are reminded to pay close attention to our emotional body, our intuitive guidance, and the subtle messages within us. Scorpio Moon days are days that come with a sense of power due to vulnerability. These are days where we can extract nourishment in delicate and subtle ways, somatic and gentle ways, so listen and attune carefully. Want to know more about Scorpio Moon? Read my article here. Moon receives drishti from both Jupiter and Ketu today, offering some potent intuitive guidance and spiritual insights if we are paying attention. Anuradha nakshatra is ruled by Mitra and Saturn, both known for their impeccable detail and workmanship. Mitra is a friend, ally, companion; he brings support and sustenance as any good friend would do. He especially likes to connect, transform and renew. Today's reminder is: meet the right people, make the right connections and success will come. The general themes for this time period regarding relationships, partnerships and boundary work prevail today. Notice where the contractions and the critic surface as you interact with others. With who and what is there more opening, expansion and ease? Be aware of the opening and closings in your life- just as the lotus blossom opens in the day and closes naturally at night. Let the dance of yes and no resonate with your healthy boundary work. Where are you saying yes and where are you saying no in your life? What are the results? Mercury moves to Ashlesha nakshatra at 21:27 CDT. Sarpa, the serpent deity and an extra level of Mercury are enlivened in the next week. The mental body needs extra TLC right now as it may be running away with itself through deception, illusion and over-confidence. Remember that Mercury is nearing the Sun in Cancer and heating up the mind in general right now. Rigidity, extra sharpness, critic and extreme focus are heightened. Use the mind, but don't be used by the mind. Everything that passes through the Sun gets purified, so we can at least be assured that the mind is getting burned and transformed like a fire offering right now. Purify and be purified; tend to your mental burns. Wednesday, August 6th Moon moves to Jyestha nakshatra just after midnight CDT. The mental body enlivens today with the strength of Indra. Mind over matter or matter over mind? There could be a tussle between emotional body and mental body so work with both for clarity of your needs. Which one is running the show? Do a three level check in for greater insights. Indra is the storm god, particularly connected to rain, but also with dharma and powerful positions. The Upanishads refer to Indra as the life force, or prana. It is understood in the Ved that Indra is the ruler of our senses and sense organs. In other words, he is the king of our body and mind. Extra sensitivity can emerge on Indra days. Jyestha days remind us to take back control of our senses, rather than letting them rule us. More than control, perhaps a better word choice is awareness. Get a firm grasp on your senses through conscious awareness. Time for a 3 level check in and some harvesting? As the day ripens, Venus moves into sandhi at the edge of Gemini, poising itself for change, while Mercury nears close conjunction with the Sun. Watch your heart and mind for heat, fire and solar flares! The mind is hot and it can easily spill over into our relationships. Play nice, but be clear and firm with your boundaries, needs and expectations. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 22:45 CDT. Thursday, August 7th Venus moves to Cancer at 05:16 am CDT, joining exalted Jupiter, Sun and combust Mercury there. This will be a very interesting transit emotionally. There's heat in the heart/chest region, effecting our work with opening and closing, expand and contract. This will of course play out as a tussle between mental body and emotional body, effecting physical body. These dynamics will be effecting our relationship with self and others. The heat is on, tensions rise, and the drishti on these four planets from Saturn and Ketu intensives the activation, pressure and necessary restructuring occurring as a result of this transit. Whatever needs to shift in your relationships in order for greater ease, will likely be coming to a head until August 30th as Jupiter (deva) and Venus (asura) battle it out in our heart center (Cancer/4th house matters). Themes of the 4th house heighten at this time: including land matters, home, mother, emotions, heart/chest/lungs, vehicles and our relationship with these. Exercising healthy and appropriate boundaries is the other current theme. Whatever we are not yet getting on a mental/emotional level, will bring itself to the forefront of our awareness at this time. Be prepared to make adjustments and changes with your relationships in the coming weeks. Frustrations and tensions are likely due to lack of effective boundary work. Want to know more about the dynamics of open and close and our emotional body during this time of exalted Jupiter? Use my Jupiter/Ribcase mp3 for assistance. Moon transits Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra today. Enter Nirrti and Ketu for a power packed day. Don't be surprised if an extra layer of chaos enters through the side door as Nirrti usually stirs the pot in uncomfortable ways. That's her job after all. She uproots, dishevels, and distracts. She is married to Adharma (against dharma) and goes against the natural order of things, Natural Law. Don't let your prana get scattered and misused today. Have you ever noticed how in movies and on TV, the plot unfolds after a series of decisions- usually poor choices; but more importantly from a lack of healthy and appropriate boundaries?! It is exactly the same within our personal life story. If you want less drama, made for TV movies, and big screen issues in your life, you have to be very conscious of what you are saying yes to and what you are saying no to. Essentially action and inaction. It's actually a very simple formula. But the changes that your life will take on as a result of your yes and no's is not. This time period of Saturn/Mars conjunction as well as the conjunction of four planets in Cancer, is our crash course (literally) in this yes/no dynamic. What are you learning? Where do you need to say no still or yes perhaps? What are you allowing in and opening to? What are closing to and saying no to? Moon moves to PurvaAshada nakshatra at 20:44 CDT. Friday, August 8th Moon is reaching its fullness, waxing into the 13th tithi (Moon phase) today. The tides are high within us! Moon transits PurvaAshada nakshatra, ruled by Apas, the water goddess. Here we get a heightened connection to the emotions, the emotional body and our inner waters and tides. With Saturn's drishti on the Moon, we get a little extra squeeze and some added pressure. Like a piece of citrus being reamed and squeezed, juice extracted, and then poured. Extract your inner juices for cleansing and clearing of your inner waters today. Let the tides move through you and out of you. Apas helps to purify us, to rejuvenate and to keep us fluid, flowing and moving. Make sure that attention and intention with the emotional body is part of your day, as well as movement. Where can you invite in more flow and fluidity? The theme of purification continues. Working with my Moon/Emotional Body MP3 may be helpful for you. Find it here. Moon moves to UttarAshada at 18:10 CDT and the Vishvadevas shine their light upon us. As Sun rules this nakshatra, a bit of extra heat kicks in. Mercury and Sun are in exact degrees as this time and full on combustion of the mind/mental body is here. The themes mentioned over the past week intensify as we navigate our heart/emotions and all that this brings with it in regard to relationships and our felt sense of life. All of our heart/emotion work kicks up due to Mars and Saturn conjunct in Libra, the seat of relationships and our mirror work with "other". The purpose of all these big transits simultaneously, is a re-setting of the balance buttons in our lives. Let this be your intention as you navigate the choppy waters. Work with your three level check in and harvesting process. It's not too early to start your full Moon mandala work. Moon moves to Capricorn at 23:27 CDT. Saturday, August 9th Moon in Capricorn receives drishti from Mars. Mars is considered exalted in Capricorn so he brings his fire through his gaze and heats the Moon; once again our emotional body is activated. Catching the themes right now? Moon is also being glanced at directly, seven houses away, by the intense energy of Cancer and the four planets therein: Venus, Sun, exalted Jupiter and Mercury. Mercury and Sun are still in very close proximity so take this into consideration as you navigate mental/emotional bodies at this time. Additionally, we get drishti on the Moon from Rahu, adding a different type of intensity for our emotions. Shadows, fears, illusions and worldly desires give their presence and may cloud our discernment. Be aware that Rahu gives his two cents right now and don't act rashly. Rahu always brings extremes with him so temper it if possible. Moon is in the 14th tithi and almost at maximum capacity. Our emotional cups are almost full. Are you feeling this expansion and overflow? As Moon transits through UttarAshada today, the Vishva Devas, or all gods, remind us of the basic Laws of Nature. These include: goodness, truth, determination, talent, time, enjoyment, grimness, ancestors, abundance, joy, as well as pleasantness, sight, fame and leadership. These are the places that are asking us to find more balance and harmony in our life. Where are you needing to put more attention/intention in these areas? Where might you need to put less? Re-shuffle your deck for a new kind of winning hand. Moon moves to Sravana nakshatra at 15:14 CDT and Vishnu steps into our day as well as an extra level of Moon energy. Our feat at this time is to start listening. Listen carefully and listen well. Be the observer. Be the witness. Moon moves to its final tithi (Moon phase) at 17:06 CDT and is in its final phase of fullness now (Purnima). Tonight is the night to celebrate your full Moon and create your full Moon mandala. Ritualize your emotional cup being full. Need some help with this? Use my past Moon Mandala Creative Rituals. Sunday, August 10th Full Moon Day! Moon in Capricorn moves to Dhanishta nakshatra at 12:08 CDT. Gaze from Rahu, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, Sun and Venus in full effect! Moon is at its fullest at 13:08 CDT in Dhanishta nakshatra. Dhanishta is ruled by Vasu, the one who shines, is bright and illuminated. Full Moon in Dhanishta nakshatra brings a very full cup to us. Life may be feeling "full to capacity". Is your cup running over in a positive and powerful way? Or a burdensome and heavy way? If you are feeling the burdens of this extremely energized time, it's time to take some steps inward, harvest what is ripe within you, and use it for a change in course or direction. Use my Moon/Emotional Body workshop MP3's to help you navigate your individual harvesting process. The Vasu Devas are sources of light (jyoti) and bring illumination to us. They offer us a source and a sense of our own power, wealth and prosperity. The eight Vasu Devas are the eight cosmic elements expressed and manifested on the material plane of existence. (Moon, Sun, Water, Earth, Air, Fire, Space and the light of the stars). We are indeed cosmic, stardust and swirling light. What are you shining your light upon? What lights are shining on you? What shiny, sparkly objects are catching your attention? Put on your sun glasses and get ready for the blaze. In the coming waning Moon cycle, we can expect this fullness, the overwhelm, the heightened sense of extremes, to come to a climax, before it begins to dissipate. It is a time of maximum exposure. Exposure of our "stuff" and letting the inner come out, and the outer come in. It's a time of major restructuring and deconstruction. Change, shifts, movement. Old patterns change, new ones start. The lessons we are learning at this junction are the life changing, earth changing kind. Ketu and Jupiter are working their magic on all of us in very timely, unexpected ways. The guru is sharing some very big morsels of awakening right now. Do not discount the power of this time, the changes you are going through, and the intentional actions required as a result. Be powerful and potent in your choices. Be firm and grounded in what you need- what truly nourishes you, supports you and offers you comfort. This is what each of us is moving towards in our lives- whether it's obvious or not. Let your cup runeth over and surf the emotional tides that are rising. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a Moon Mind post. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. |
