11.5
Moon debilitated in Scorpio and moves to Jyeshtha nakshatra mid morning. Mind moves fast today. Get mental tasks in order but strive for balance. Keep your focus and use executive abilities for best results, just don't over do it. Expect some delays and frustrations. 11.6 Moon moves to Mula nakshatra early in the morning. Jupiter goes retrograde later in the day. This is a time of striving towards dharma, clearing out the old, outmoded and getting priorities in order. Attend to health and wellness. Dishevelment rules the day so plan for a bit of choas. You will need extra time to get things done so plan ahead and work backwards. Read more about Jupiter's retrograde motion via this week's horoscopes and my Jupiter in Gemini article below: http://www.swatijrjyotish.com/1/post/2013/11/horoscopes-for-the-week-of-114.html

{Still 5 days of Ganesh Chaturthi}
Moon Mind ::: Friday 9.13 Moon transits Sagittarius in Mula nakshatra until 17:20 CDT when it moves to PurvaAshada. Mula is ruled by Nirrti, the goddess of adharma and dishevelment. The connection to Ketu here brings her ability to uproot and dismember into effect. As Moon moves into PurvaAshada, Apas (the water goddess) takes over. Her cleaning and clearing effect will soften and move out anything brought to the surface by Nirrti. However, storm season is in full effect- especially with water and its movement. Later today, Apas will bring more water with her. The Rudra energy of Rahu and Saturn's conjunction in Libra with Venus (who is jala/water) all are now in Swati nakshatra (ruled by Rahu), creating storms, movement with water and ultimately intense house cleaning. With Mars still debilitated in the water sign of Cancer (in a Saturn nakshatra), this heightens issues with water. Ketu is also in Bharani nakshatra ruled by Venus- so a lot of water is present in the planets right now; water that is ultimately clearing and purifying. All of this water may be quite uncomfortable, so have a life vest handy. We are witnessing Nature express these storms externally through rains/flooding in CO etc. But on the internal landscape, many of us are feeling the emotional weather effects as well. Water and emotions are one and the same so one can predict clouds, floods, rains, thunder and lightening internally also. As my mentor put it "the Saturn/Rahu/Venus conjunction is creating a stellar opportunity to face demons [rakshasas]...the strong winds are cracking stuff loose in the most positive way and Lakshmi's broom is sweeping it away." We can see that this is necessary movement and change, clearing and cleaning- both internally and externally. This is a time to use your sharpest, most effective tools. Yagyas, energy work, meditation, good routine, appeasing Saturn, etc. will all go a long way to weather the storms. If we can see the cleansing as positive and ultimately useful, it will help transform our attitude towards the effects, but don't be complacent. Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
Sunday, 6.23 Moon is now in Sagittarius, transiting Mula nakshatra. Mula is ruled by the disheveled Nirrti and the planet Ketu. She is the wife of adharma and brings breakings, separations, uprootings, uprisings, and goes against the natural order of things. This dark goddess brings strife, turmoil, calamities, but is good for "getting to the root of things" which can be useful when working with disease, illness, investigations and research. You may have felt the currents of Mula alive last night and pervade over your full Moon experience. What came to light for you? What surfaced that had been buried under the muck and mire? What issues surfaced for you? The lunar tides are extra powerful right now. These waves will continue today and tomorrow as Moon moves into Purvashada today at 14:42 CDT. Purvashada is ruled by Apas and the planet Venus. Apas is the water goddess while Venus is life giving water. Look for Apas to bring some cleansing, soothing energy with her currents. This may come in the form of emotions and tears but the intention will be for purification and rejuvenation. Water needs to move and flow, make sure this is a part of your ritual today. The Upanishads say that Apas came from fire. When humans get hot, they perspire. This is symbolic of "moving the inner waters" the emotional tides. Move, dance, sweat. *I am currently traveling. Thus my updates will be sporadic for now. Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
5.26 Moon in Sagittarius transiting Mula nakshatra until 04:12 CDT tomorrow and in 2nd tithi of the dark half (waning cycle). Mula is ruled by Nirrti, the wife of Adharma (against dharma). She is considered a rakshasa (demon) and connected to uprooting and bundling things up as well as destruction and demolition. She is a destroyer who brings disease and disturbance. Most of us want to keep her away and be rid of her, however, she can give us awareness and insight as well. Nirrti can be the reminder of "that which we don't wish to happen" and thus help us with prevention- heyam dukham anagatam- averting the danger which has not yet come. She can then "help" us with healing work, dharmic works and by reminding us about that which we DO wish to receive. Use today for just that- actions and thoughts towards the sustainable, the lasting the truths as well as prevention. Don't let Nirrti get the best of you and avoid her adharmic ways. This includes diet, routine, thoughts/words, intentions, actions and works. Do what you know to be right and good. Connecting to your prana is especially vital today- the life force. 4.29.13 Moon transits Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra until 19:28 this evening. Mula is ruled by Nirrti- the dark goddess- who is a rakshasa (demon) married to the god of adharma (against dharma). She is against the natural order of the Universe- Natural Law. She bundles, breaks, uproots, forces and does so with suffering and calamities- especially those that are health related. Mula can indicate those who know how to navigate her ways and thus can create a good healer. Mula people have often navigated Nirrti's ways and means personally and know their way around uprooting demons- energetically, physically, emotionally, spiritually. Though it takes quite a bit of personal experience, self-awakening, suffering, and protection in order to do so- and be alive to tell the tale. Remembering that Nirrti is here to remind us of what we don't want, what we fear, what brings our suffering, what needs destruction and demolition is helpful, otherwise she brings us her fear and anxieties. Mula days come once a month reminding us to get things in proper order- to live in tune with Natural Law. This is a day to eat Ayurvedically, not break the "rules", meditate, do yoga, go to bed on time, eat meals on time, etc. I like to use these days to be more awake, to do a check in on all levels: mental, emotional, physical, spiritual. A personal audit if you will. Mula can give success with breaking ties, cutting away things that need to be let go of and making sharp decisions. In this way we can use Mula days to hit the re-set button, to clear out what is unnecessary and adharmic in our lives. Today, be resourceful with life matters and get clear about what needs to be uprooted, bundled and discarded. Then take out the trash. |
