Moon Mind :::
10.15 - 10.16 Moon transits Aquarius in Satabisha nakshatra and receives drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. Watch for shadowed thinking and cravings as well as self-righteousness. Satabisha is ruled by Varuna, the "all seeing" god with a thousand eyes. He looks for wrongdoing and punishes for mistakes. His competitive nature can feel harsh at times. But ultimately his goal is to uphold Natural Law. Ask your self where you are scrutinizing too much- whether it is towards your Self or others. Can you let go, surrender, lose some of the judgment, and find more balance? Sometimes "knowing too much" is the real issue. Today, ask your Self where you can let go and let god. Later in the evening on 10.15, Moon moves to Purvabhadrapada, ruled by Ajaikapada, a form of Lord of the Dance, Lord Shiva. Ajaikapada is a Rudra (chaos/storm god) who stands on one leg and is driven to purify, maintain rituals, and rules over endings. He wants tapas and penance- your hard work- in order to get results. He is one-pointed and seems to balance the impossible. On 10.16 Moon moves to Pisces and the wisdom finally settles in. The Jupiter influence on the day offers expansion and a new "knowing" not yet visible until now. You can thank the ancestors for offering some of this vision. Moon moves to Uttarabhadrapada mid afternoon. Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the deep, will help with your inner exploration and self- expansion. New awareness will come from the depths, the hidden realms at this time. Sun, however is weak, so your new awareness may come from a feeling of vulnerability or from the dark depths of your soul. Get used to it. The next month of debilitated Sun brings more opportunities for growth as we uncover, shed, and peel back the shadows and darkness from our seemingly endless depths. With the passing of Navaratri, it is now open season for inviting in the darkness. Welcome her with open arms and see if you can't find a new relationship with her. The chaos and destructive forces are just as essential as the light and laughter.

Moon Mind :::
Thursday, 9.18 Moon is waxing in the 15th tithi (purnima) and is currently in Aquarius in Purvabhadrapada. Today offers an opportunity for balance- outer and inner. The winds of Vayu may be sweeping you. Feel the momentum? Find your dance with it, your personal rhythm and take harmonious action. Venus as just crossed over Saturn and they are still in tight conjunction. Saturn and Rahu are one degree a part. Creativity, desires, passions, and storms are strong. Find a structured stance with these cravings and natural forces. Be aligned with Saturn, and you can't go wrong. Ganesh Chaturthi {birthday} celebrations have ended now {India time} with Anant Chaturdashi. Jai Ganesha! Moon will be full on 9.19 at 06:13 CDT. Full Moon is in Pisces in PurvaBhadrapada nakshatra. Key words for the Full Moon and waning cycle ahead: tapas, purification, Shiva, creative movement, changes and shifts, balancing act, endings, renewal. Just in time for fall equinox on 9.22. The moon has become a dancer at this festival of love. ~Rumi Moon Mind ::: Thursday 8.22 through Friday, 8.23 Moon is waning (dark half) and has entered Pisces. Moon is currently transiting Purvabhadrapada, ruled by Jupiter and Ajaikapada, a form of Lord Shiva standing on one leg. Many of us felt the shift emotionally late this afternoon as Moon is now receiving drishti from only Venus, rather than the five planets of the last few days. Moon moves to Uttarabhadrapada at 21:40 CDT this evening and there will be yet another shift. Expect a lift in creativity and relationships over the next two days- but with effort. Expect awareness and knowledge with the same on Friday as Ahirbudhnya, a serpent deity of depth and ritualized knowledge, rules the day. Look for the treasures and dive deep. Best results will occur with compassionate awareness towards others- relationships, creativity and artistry are moving us right now. In us, and through us. Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
6.1/6.2 Moon is in Aquarius until later today when it moves into Pisces. Moon transits Purvabhadrapada unitll 20:40 CDT today when it then moves to Uttarabhadrapada. Purvabhadrapada is ruled by Ajaikapada. Aja means goat and he brings knowledge, he is also a Rudra (storm, movement, breath, wind). Ajaikapada the "he goat standing on one leg" is a reference to Lord Shiva- Nataraja- Lord of the dance, and speaks to "having a foot in two worlds" as well as "balancing opposites." Uttarabhadrapada is ruled by Ahirbudhnya, "the serpent of the deep" and the hidden serpent energy within us- such as kundalini. There is an ability to penetrate the depths of knowledge, the unseen realms as well as knowledge of the unconscious awareness. Ahirbudhnya is also a Rudra who removes misfortune and calamities and can bring nourishment. Both nakshatras are sons of Vishvakarma- the celestial architect. The symbol for the bhadrapada's are a burning funeral cot- endings. These nakshatras sit opposite in the sky from the phalguni's (creation/fertility nakshatras) and express the "other realms", the purification and death necessary to understand beyond this material plane of existence. Mercury (in its own sign of Gemini with Venus and Jupiter now) has moved to Ardra nakshatra, ruled by Rudra, the storm god who brings movement, change and destruction. Rudra is ruled by Rahu and Mercury is getting drishti from Rahu in Libra (sitting with a debilitated Saturn). This can go several ways: a clouded, vulnerable, depressed mind requiring shadow work with the mental body/mental realms, and/or movement, change, worldly achievement through commerce, communication, mental abilities. Either way, this requires careful navigation and a certain surrender as Rudra energy is unpredictable. Mercury and Gemini take center stage as Jupiter is now transiting Gemini for the next 12 months. 04.05.13 Moon is waning (dark half) and now in Pisces transiting PurvaBhadrapada nakshatra. The presiding deity here is Ajaikapada, or the he-goat standing on one leg- also a form of Lord Shiva. The balance it requires to stand on one leg is a nod to tapas, purification, which can arise from this nakshatra. It also is a reflection of single pointedness, literal balance, overcoming obstacles and hardships, and physical power (a nod to Rudra energy). The energy here has a foot in two worlds- the earth and the astral realms. The symbol is a funeral cot, but only the front half. There is preparation here for purification and endings. The energy of this nakshatra is neither here nor there. Try to find some grounding today. Try to keep one foot consciously connected to the Earth- to Source- even though you may be trying to find balance with the impossible. The planets are increasing our purification right now. It's getting hot and intense and the coming week increases these feelings. Use today to center for your week ahead. Pause. Find stillness amidst the chaos. Stand in your fire, but try not to get burned. The only thing to lose is ego. |
