The July New Moon arrives late on Thursday evening the 12th at 20:49 MT, while Moon is transiting sidereal Gemini and Punarvasu nakshatra. This new Moon is unique in that it opens the gates of eclipse season- which will conclude on August 11th with the New Moon in Cancer and a partial Solar Eclipse. Eclipse Portal Wisdom Three eclipses take place over the span of a month, occurring back to back. The July New Moon in Gemini arrives with a Partial Solar Eclipse, marking the opening of this shadowed portal. The Full Moon in Capricorn on July 27th takes place with a full Lunar Eclipse. Usually, eclipses come in pairs, however this eclipse cycle brings a third eclipse with the new Moon in Cancer on August 11th. A partial Solar Eclipse closes the portal and will support a rich harvest with depth and insights. There is an interesting theme with this eclipse portal. The Gemini new Moon in Punarvasu Nakshatra creates an opening for deeper nourishment to be confronted. What is missing in your support team? Where are you feeling depleted or malnourished? This new Moon will provoke challenges with disconnection to rise to the surface. The desire to be whole, more balanced and unified within self and life increases. Mid eclipse cycle, the full Moon in Capricorn and Sravana nakshatra will ask you to refine and take steps towards dharma- that which sustains and supports you and your inner awareness. The deconstruction of old patterns and belief systems that are standing in your way must be allowed to crumble and release. You will feel the fullness of what does not serve you. What do you want to replace this old, outmoded way of being? What resources and behaviors can support more harmony, ease and gentleness in your life? Closing this eclipse portal will be a partial solar eclipse and a new Moon in Cancer and Ashlesha Nakshatra. If you've been hiding behind false pretenses, this will be a time of unmasking and clarifying the changes that must take place. This particular closure will force you to identify your trust issues- inner and outer. Where are you hiding behind ego and avoiding your deeper knowing? In what ways are you pretending to feel safe, without actually acknowledging your fears? You may remember that the first solar eclipse of the year on January 31st was also in Ashlesha nakshatra. What did you learn and confront in the previous eclipse cycle? This is an opportunity for you to retrace your steps and revisit any unfinished business with Sarpa, the serpent of transformation. This eclipse cycle is an opportunity to spiral up and awaken from your slumber! Step into your power by identifying and confronting your shadows, illusions and stories. There is great potential in the coming month to release the past, the undigested thoughts and stories clogging your body wisdom. As you clear and let go of these shadowed parts, there is space for moving forward in more empowered, courageous ways. First, you must be willing to awaken from your negligence, laziness and illusion. The more courage you step into, the more you will succeed! Remember that solar eclipses awaken masculine parts of ourselves and help us confront ego based iterations of self, ideologies and belief systems. There will be deconstruction and forced awareness rising to the surface. The purpose of lunar eclipses is to support the confrontation of the shadowed feminine, identifying emotional body blockages and disconnections within receptivity. Solar and lunar eclipses always come in pairs, thus supporting confrontation and release of both masculine and feminine, the ultimate polarities of existence. The result of confronting the shadow is to create more conscious awareness of our unconscious self. With more consciousness, the grip of these illusions lessens, allowing us to create new possibilities- and ultimately make vastly different choices. As we enter this eclipse portal, notice the themes and challenges you have been confronting recently. What is intensifying? What is forcing you to look? What stories, experiences and relationships are encouraging you to look more closely? Continue to dig in and lean closer. Ask for support, resources and guidance so you aren't walking alone. The July Partial Solar Eclipse occurs with the new Moon on July 12th. The eclipse starts on at 19:48 MT and will end July 12th at 22:13 MT, with the maximum portion of the eclipse occurring at 21:01 MT. From a Vedic perspective, it is not advised to be outside during an eclipse or to look directly at the eclipse. Wear a head covering if you have to be outside so you don't absorb the shadow. Ideally, this is a time for spiritual practices such as meditation, chanting and fasting. Set intentions and honor the sensitivity of this time. It is also widely recognized that during and between eclipses, starting new endeavors will not bring positive results. No new projects, relationships or activities should start in the eclipse portal. Notice what needs are arriving, then take action after the eclipse portal closes. Best to lay low, attend to spiritual pursuits, get extra rest and work with your inner shadow very consciously during this cycle. July New Moon Wisdom The July new Moon in Gemini and Punarvasu nakshatra awakens the desire for universality, new resources and support. Ruling deity, Aditi, is often referred to as the "mother of all goodness". She birthed 33 Devas. Of these children, 12 were Adityas- powerful allies for resources, material support, wisdom and guidance. She is the expression of expanded awareness, the mother in all things, the foundation of the universe and nonduality. She awakens and supports the awareness of oneness, non-difference, sama or the equinamity of the mind. Aditi gave birth to Vishnu himself, the ultimate sustaining force that upholds dharma. The bounty and blessings of Aditi will awaken and expand possibilities and potential for you. She is limitless, formless, unbounded, non-dual abundance that is the foundation for all nourishment in this life. Where are you in right relationship with the nourishment in your life? What is feeling supportive, nourishing and bountiful? Where are you disconnected or resisting nourishment, abundance and support? What resources and guidance are missing on your path? Use this new Moon to crack open the parts of you in lack and malnourishment. Attend to your grief and emotional body. Honor and acknowledge the needs that are not being met in your life and your relationships. Dig deeper into your struggle and hardship. Does it really have to be so hard? Where are you making it harder than it needs to be? Only when you are truly willing to face your shadow and honor its gifts, will you be able to make space for and allow new possibilities to arrive. Ask for what you need and gather the resources and support that will make it possible. You Are Invited!! When was the last time you honored the losses in your life? The losses in your lineage? Have you noticed a resistance to showing up for your own grief and the grief of others? Do you negate, resist or avoid big emotions? Are you touched by the challenges happening in our country and or world- but not sure how to process these emotions? This special Grief Ritual is for you! We meet this Saturday, July 14th at 11am MT via online. - This is a ritualized, safe container that will support you in digesting and releasing unprocessed grief. - Gather resources, support and guidance for navigating the emotional body. - Digest, integrate and release emotions that have been left unprocessed. - Heal and release the unconscious and shadow parts of yourself. - Honor and acknowledge lineage and ancestral grief. - Create space for more nourishment and joy in your life! PLEASE RSVP TO JOIN THIS FREE RITUAL EMAIL ME TO JOIN: Swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Creative RitualThe theme of empowerment and clarifying your dharmic purpose is alive right now. It's a powerful time to confront the challenges and struggles you are facing- with honesty and authenticity. As you move closer to what isn't working, you can then get clear on what you really want and need, and what action steps must be taken. 1) In your journal, identify and confront your challenges: What challenges are you facing? What is keeping you from fully aligning with your path, purpose and dharma? Next, create an image of the challenges you face- using craypas, paints, pencils, collage, or any medium that you feel aligned with. Spend 10- 20 minutes creating this challenge image. How do your challenges feel? Frustrating, isolating, enraged, sad, etc? Bring these feelings into your image using color, texture and shapes. Give your image a title. If your image could speak, what would it say? 2) After you write down your challenges, get clear on where you want to go. Next, write down your goals and vision for your fully empowered life. Get clear on your desires. Where would you like to be six months from now? Now create an image of your fully empowered, activated path and purpose- using craypas, paints, pencils, collage or any other medium you feel aligned to work with. How does it feel to fully activate your soul's purpose? What are you doing? How are you showing up in your life, for others, for your self? Bring these feelings into your image using color, texture and shapes. Give your image a title. If your image could speak, what would it say? 3) Finally, use my tapping meditation for empowerment. Clear away the blockages holding you back so you can activate and align with a deeper sense of power and purpose. Take Action Now I call myself the Dharma Midwife. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever! The June New Moon is in sidereal Taurus and Mrigashirsha nakshatra, the constellation of Soma, the immortal nectar. New moon is June 13th at 13:44 MT. Sun and Moon in Taurus receive gaze from the restructuring planet, Ketu. The emotional body will be feeling changes and release during and after the new Moon. Make good use of your emotional body wisdom in the coming weeks and honor the need for change. What needs to be released in order to make space for your deepest nourishment? Use the coming waxing cycle to pull up the weeds in your heart and clear the rubble from your emotional body. There is some very old grief that needs to be healed and released so you will have room for more of what you need and want. Clear, release, purge and let go. Align with your highest truth and deepest intentions. Make sure your actions support and honor your inner wisdom. Seek dharma, right action and align with your life path and purpose. There will be more resources and support in this cycle to help you clarify your dharmic path. Are you paying attention? Stay receptive to possible opportunities and guidance to help you get your needs met in new ways. The coming waxing cycle is influenced by the qualities of Mrigarshirsha, the constellation of Soma, a personification of the Moon, Chandra. This nakshatra is symbolized by the antlers of a deer, always growing, branching and out changing. Deer antlers have traditionally be used medicinally as well as for an aphrodisiac. Its nourishing qualities relate to Soma, the divine immortal nectar of the gods. Thus Mrigashirsha brings the possibility for deep nourishment, but only as a result of change, branching out and seeking new resources. Reach for more. Ask for what you really need. Become what you want to be. Allow yourself to change and grow. Move towards the nourishment. Where are you playing small and cutting yourself short? What needs to change so you can actually get what you need? What nourishment is missing from your life? Gather resources and support to help you clarify your path. Start deserving and receiving! There is a tight conjunction of Exalted Mars and Ketu occurring in Capricorn right now and into the next few weeks. Mars and Ketu will be in exact degrees on June 13th. There is a lot of heat and power in earthy Capricorn right now. Volcanoes are likely. Mars is the warrior planet and Ketu brings restructuring. Expect sudden changes and unexpected events. Explosive actions, emotions and choices can happen. Stay grounded, be methodical and avoid rash decisions and choices. Notice if you are pushing or forcing outcomes. Slow and steady wins the race- and prevents burns. Channel this powerful energy into positive, life supportive change. Align your action steps with your dharmic path and that which sustains and supports. Venus moves to Cancer on June 8th, joining Rahu here. The fiery combination of exalted Mars and Ketu give their direct gaze. Relationships feel the heat, pressure and restructuring. Feelings intensify and the emotional body may feel confused and challenged by uncertainty. Rahu brings questions to the surface as well as vagary. Seek emotional body clarity and keep your inner waters moving and purified. Release hurt, pain and grief safely. You will be asked to deepen your self inquiry. What do you need in order to be nourished- in relationships, Home and heart. Are you moving towards the nourishment? Or away from it?! Watch for overly rajasic tendencies in the coming days and weeks. The heat is on and the changes may be swift. With Saturn now back in Mula nakshatra, restructuring, release and pulling up weeds is occurring on a core structural level. You may feel the ground moving beneath you. Seek stability, support and grounding. Keep life as simple as possible and don't over complicate things. Use this time to move closer to your goals and gain momentum for your path and purpose. Clarify and focus your direction. Ask yourself: how bad does it have to get before I make life supportive changes? Creative Ritual1) Identify the strongest emotion you are feeling right now. If you could find this emotion living somewhere in your body, where would it be? Lean in closer. Notice the sensations you feel with this emotion in the body. 2) As you lean into this emotion living in the body, notice if it has a color, shape, or texture. If this emotion had a sound, what would it be? Let this sound out of the body until you feel complete. 3) If this emotion in the body could share a message with you, what would it say? What does it need? 4) Create an image of this emotion in your body, using craypas, paints, collage, or any other medium that inspires you. Spend at least 20 minutes on this image- until it feels complete. Give it a title. 5) Spend some time with your image and let it speak to you. If your image could share a message with you, what would it say? Let is respond to these statements: I am, I want, I need What have you harvested from the wisdom of your emotional body? I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!
Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Email me to see if I have any openings swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Just after Venus shifts into Gemini, the Sun arrives in Taurus for the coming month. The May new Moon arrives on the 15th at 05:48 am MT with Sun and Moon newly entering sidereal Taurus. Both Sun and Moon are positioned at less than a degree during the new Moon. Considered sandhi, in the netherworlds between signs, masculine and feminine are extra sensitive in the coming days. There is vulnerability at the time of the New Moon and throughout the waxing cycle, however there is also great spiritual insight available as well. A sense of beginning and possibility arrives. Open to something new and linger in the liminal. What are you calling in? Who and what are you inviting into your life? Imagine, manifest and create! Krittika nakshatra is on the horizon at the time of the new Moon and both Sun and Moon transit Krittika nakshatra as well. This constellation cuts, severs and sharply removes excess. Ketu gives his drishti to the Sun and Moon, promoting sudden release, loss and restructuring. Moon will be exalted in Taurus, at its most expansive degrees and in his favorite sign, at the time of the empty Moon. Emotions may feel bigger than normal, though there is also great potential to clear and release stagnant emotions, feelings and grief. Support the release process now and in the coming waxing cycle. Krittika nakshatra is ruled by the fire god, Agni. He burns, transforms and supports the alchemy of change. Healing is created through the transformation process and the space that is created through release. What space are you creating in your life? What new nourishment do you need? How are you attending to the space that is being created right now? In order to create the new, you will be asked to clear, cut and sever ties with the past. Lower vibrations and energies need to be lifted. Cut, clear and delete old programming and mental body stories. Let go of relationships and energies holding you back. Give yourself an upgrade and ask for more. Sudden insights and awakening will be possible during the new Moon and in the coming cycle. Creating time and space for listening to your inner wisdom is essential in order to gather the insights coming forth. What is holding you back from saying yes to more of what you need? What is changing and transforming within you and your life? This is a precious time to intentionally create space for more nourishment, ease and grace in your life. Be clear with what you need and ask for gentleness. Acknowledge what must be released and cut in order to get what you truly need and deserve. Don't be afraid to be radical in your desires and your cord cutting. Creative Ritual 1) Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of your nourishment. What does nourishment feel like for you? Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow 20 minutes at minimum for this nourishment image. Title your image. 2) Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your nourishment image with an intention of "moving with your feelings of nourishment". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process. 3) Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions: I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine. What deeply nourishes me? What no longer nourishes me? Where do I feel support in my life? Where do I need more support? What am I opening to? What am I closing to? I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever! Sun has just shifted to exaltation in Aries and both Sun and Moon will be in Ashwini nakshatra at the time of the new Moon. The Vedic New Year begins on Friday April 13th at 20:19 MT as Sun arrives in Aries- though officially the start of the New Year comes with the New Moon on Sunday. As Sun and Moon begin anew, a fresh start arrives for the masculine and feminine within. Sun completes a year long transit through the zodiac and steps into Aries on Friday, jump starting the beginning of a new cycle. Sun loves being in Aries because he can fully express his power, light, clarity and purpose. He is exalted in this sign because he can use his power at 100% capacity. Expect more energy, strength and precision in the coming weeks. Use your power and clarity wisely and take life supporting action steps. Purify and clean up diet, behaviors and choices that are keeping you disempowered. Watch for anger and rage. What boundaries need to be clarified in order to honor your power more fully? This is a powerful time of year to step into your inner strength, purpose and dharma. Take action steps to fulfill your dharmic path. Honor your power and strength. Clear and release what is holding you back from your strength, power and purpose- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Ask for resources, support and guidance in order to maximize this time. Sidereal New Moon in Aries on Sunday April 15th jump starts the Vedic New Year, followed by the most auspicious day of the year Akshaya Tritiya on the 18th. On this day, Sun and Moon are both exalted, bringing energy, power and strength to all actions. This planetary alignment happens once per year. It is said that all actions will be fruitful on this day and expand exponentially. It is a powerful day to take dharmic steps and any action step you want a positive result from. Donate to charities, share, teach, connect and offer your services. Renewal, awakening, release and opening are arriving. Use this time wisely! Step into your power! Get new results and make more empowered choices! Awaken the light within. The new Moon is in Ashwini nakshatra, the domain of the Ashwini-Kumara twins. Ayurvedic experts, the Kumara twins support healing, transformation and awakening through the creative and healing arts. The symbol of this constellation is a horse's head, which expresses the strength and power possible within this portion of the sky. The influence of this nakshatra awakens the immense vitality and wisdom of the horse. Horses create an antivenom that heals snake bites, symbolizing their power to fight poison- especially physically. What poisons need to be healed and released within? What purification and clarity does your body need? What poisons are you ready to eradicate from your life? Clear the body of the past and make space for the new. Keep the gut clear and support the digestion of the mental body. In the cycle ahead, relationships, support and stability are the primary focus. Seek new balance and integration between self and other. Clean up relationship messes within and attend to the relationship with self. Where are you burning yourself out? Who and what are you allowing to burn up your life force energy? What behaviors, choices and actions are keeping you less than vital? Where do you need to reconnect within your body in order for more strength, support and stability within? The process of integration, alignment and gathering support will require that you retrace your steps and cover old ground. Relationships will ask you to revisit and recalibrate in order for you to gather the insights and wisdom you seek. Build a solid support system by getting clear on what you need and reaching out for the resources, guidance and team members you need. There are new answers arriving. Create space for the clarity and be specific about your desires. You will be asked to restructure your heart and find a new way of relating. Learn to love with boundaries and honor your sacred inner temple above all. Creative Ritual What does empowerment feel like? How do you feel this energy in your body? Use my Tapping Meditation below to support an increase in your power. Then use this awareness to create an image and identify your needs. Take this surge of energy and channel it into powerful action steps! Once you create your image of power, share it with us in the Embodied Moon FB group! Step #1 How do you know if you are disempowered, disconnected from your inner source? When your breath is short, body is tight and mind is running the show, you are likely disconnected from your inner wisdom and power. This may present itself through emotional body reactions, mental stories that seem to be on repeat in your head, and physical body responses that constrict you, leaving you closed off to possibility, options, new choices. Read More and Listen to my Tapping Meditation for Empowerment Step #2 Create an image of what it feels like to be empowered, connected and feeling your inner strength. What colors, textures and images arrive? Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of your power. Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow 20 minutes at minimum for this nourishment image. Title your image. Step #3 Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your image with the intention of "moving with your feelings". What feelings emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process. Step #4 Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions: I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine, I express Where do I feel support in my life? Where do I need more support? Email me to see if I have any openings swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The March New Moon arrives on Saturday the 17th at 07:12 am MT while Moon transits the final sign of the zodiac, Pisces, and Purvabhadra nakshatra. Moon joins Sun, exalted Venus and debilitated Mercury here as well. All receive gaze from Mars and Rahu. This combination can provoke aggression and confusion, as well as a lack of clear thinking and intensified emotions. This theme may intensify throughout the waxing cycle. Focus on clearing and releasing what rises to the surface and attend to the needs arriving. Allow emotions to move through you and support the release of your big emotions. New Moon in Purvabhadra increases the need for integration and balance of opposing forces. There is a need for honoring duality and harmonizing conflicts. Ajaikapada rules over this portion of the sky. He is an expression of Nataraja, Lord of the Dance, Lord Shiva. He dances between realms, worlds, and holds both. One foot grounded and rooted, the other lifted, prepared to move forward. This is an expression of his ability to hold duality and integrate opposing forces. Shiva asks us to simplify and do tapas in order for purification. Something must be released and actions and behaviors need to be simplified. Through this process of releasing, simplifying and purifying, clarity, wisdom and prosperity emerges. The power of Rudra is offered under this constellation, which can be channeled into auspicious activities and purposes with positive results. The symbol of this constellation is the front half of a funeral cot, inviting in release and letting go. This cycle prepares us for something new. Be prepared to let go, in order for the new to have space to arrive. A deep level of purification is taking place in the days ahead. Support this process and allow new resources to support you. There is much clearing and release taking place. This waxing cycle supports clearing and letting go of the old. Parts of you that have been stuck will require your conscious uprooting. This may mean you have to retrace some old terrain in order to support the clearing. Dive deeply and honor depths and unconscious realms. Awakening to your inner conflicts and polarities are key in this process. Gains come with your clearing and release process. You must make room for something new. This process may require diving into very old, painful territory and cleaning up relationship grief. Seek integration, harmony and balance between self and others. Between inner and outer. Between your darkness and light. What mirrors are arriving to help you attend to the past and release it? What relationships need to be released once and for all? What integration and balance is needed in order for deeper grounding? In the cycle ahead, attend to your grounding, inner and outer stability as well as your feet. Connect with the earth and find ways to deepen your roots. Find your ground and activate your inner intelligence. Pay attention to your feet and what they tell you about your grounding cord. Stay rooted. As the new Moon arrives, Chaitra Navaratri begins as well. Navaratri begins the evening of the 17th and continues until the 25th of March. The final day of Navaratri is Ram Navami, the celebrated birth day of Lord Ram. The Navaratri celebration is an expression of what is taking place within Nature, through the Laws that govern Nature, marking an important transition within us and around us. Align with Nature and Her powerful energy of change and transformation during Navaratri. Ritualize your connections with Nature- in order to land more closely to your own inner wisdom, to Her wisdom. Strengthen your connection to self and Spirit. Navaratri is a poignant time in the Vedic Calendar. This ancient calendar is one that is dedicated to Nature and her cycles and rhythms, the planets, and most importantly the Moon. In the Vedic Calendar, time is connected to what Nature and the cosmos are doing, and these elements are intimately related. Navaratri occurs twice a year- in the "gap" seasons of spring and fall. These times are considered sandhi times; delicate times that feel like you are neither here, nor there. We might call it the netherworld. This time, though delicate, is considered sacred. Read More About Navaratri. Creative Ritual Feet bring stability and grounding. They offer us the ability to "step forward" both physically and metaphorically in our lives. We sense and connect to the earth (the ultimate support system) through the souls of our feet which helps us find our overall balance, nourishment and resiliency. Time to step forward with momentum and spring into new actions in order to harvest new growth, wisdom and abundance. 1) Use the feet as a starting point for your movement exploration. Notice the sensations in your feet. How do they feel? Move through space and notice your feet. Bring awareness to the souls of your feet and the sensations arriving. Spend 10-20 minutes moving your body, while noticing the sensations in your feet. 2) Create an image of your feet. What colors, shapes and images arrive? Use craypas, paints, pencil or collage to create this image. Spend 10-20 minutes in the creative process. Title your image and ask your foot image to share with you. If it could speak, what would it say? 3) In your journal, spend some time answering these questions: What am I stepping towards? What am I moving away from? I call myself the Dharma Midwife. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever! Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Shivaratri arrives FEB 13th just before the new Moon (Amavasya) on February 15th. This is a time of deep silence and strong potential. It is the marriage celebration of Shiva and Shakti, a symbolic union of wholeness- when the absolute unmanifest, conjoins with the pulse of life force energy. Masculine and feminine merge and create life- and the ability to manifest becomes amplified. From this place of union, we can ignite the power of being, the power of life. Transformations abound right now- inner and outer. Are you paying attention to polarities in your life? What dualities are you aware of and what is needed for their integration? This is a powerful time for meditation and reciting the Mrityunjaya Mantra: oṁ tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam ǀurvārukam-iva bandhanān mṛtyormukṣīya māmṛtāt ǁ Shivaratri supports planting seeds of potential through the depth of silence. Shiva as destroyer, is at one with this awakened state of creativity. His role is to support your collapse into concentrated, focused alignment with the harmony of existence- that which is pure consciousness, deep, unaltered silence and awakening. This is where your creativity resides, your ability to manifest, create and transform- over and over again. Through the transcendence, you can easily touch this silence in its pure form. Shiva reminds us to use this silence to release, simplify and transform. From a silent and awakened state, you can plant the seeds of life more intentionally and powerfully. Use your deep inner silence for stirring your creative desires. Next, the fertility festival of Holi, will activate your silent seeds, helping them become more fully awakened with the creative wisdom of Nature. What are you creating for your powerful life? What is your vision? Let your imagination move you into being. Create life! NEW MOON The February New Moon occurs on Thursday the 15th at 14:06 MT with a partial solar eclipse. This closes the eclipse portal that has been open since the full lunar eclipse on January 31st. The partial solar eclipse begins at 11:55 am MT and concluding at 15:47 MT. The maximum eclipse will be at 13:51 MT. The eclipse will only be visible in South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Antarctica. The new Moon occurs in sidereal Aquarius and Dhanishtha nakshatra, the constellation of the Vasu Devas, the bearers of light, jyoti. They want visibility, awakening and creative purpose. Powerful action can be ignited here- if in right relationship with dharma and right relationship with your life path. By the time the new Moon arrives, Sun and Mercury have now entered Sidereal Aquarius. Balance polarities and integrate opposing forces. Face your shadow and grief with authenticity. Find new ways and resources in order to navigate your challenges. The same challenges are present for you, but in order to get different results you'll need to try some new, more innovative options and choices. Learn from your past mistakes and don't repeat them. This is a time to deepen your empowerment- which comes through integration and strengthening digestion. Use this cycle to maximize your dharmic pursuits and gather the necessary guidance and resources to support you in this. There is a strong focus on life path in this cycle. Don't neglect this. More support awakens as you move closer to your shadow and limiting beliefs. Courageously lean into your darkness in order for the light to arrive. Shine light on your unconscious and unseen realms. Clear away the rubble and move towards new nourishment and desires. Where are you resisting change, solutions, possibility and your deepest desires? What is stopping you from taking action steps? What limitations are keeping you from stepping into your power and purpose? In the cycle to come, you will be asked to face your grief- with your self and your relationships. Clear and release- in order to make room for more life. Strengthen inner support and physical body support. Uproot and release support that is no longer helping you and create space for the new. Trust your gut wisdom and ask for its guidance. Clear and purify your gut intelligence in order for a stronger intuition and empowerment. Deepen your sense of balance- inner and outer. What does this feel like in your body? The closing of the eclipse portal with a partial solar eclipse, brings emphasis on the physical and spiritual bodies. Needs emerge around the masculine, structure and support. The Sun illuminates the solar system and brings life and light to us. As the Sun's light gets partially obstructed, so will the light within. This is not a time to make big decisions or start new projects. Wait a few days until the light returns and notice what themes arrive in your personal mythology at this time. Close doors that need to be closed and be willing to open new ones. Creative RitualSelf Tracking, Learning from the Wisdom of the Body 1) Sit, stand or lay down. Close your eyes and fall into the rhythm of your breath. Notice the rise and fall of your chest, the waves of breath moving in and out of your body. Take some time to relax into this rhythm. 2) As the body moves to greater stillness and relaxation through breath awareness, locate a sensation in the body. This sensation might show up as a tingling, a pulsing, or a sense of vibration. There might even be a color, a shape, a sound or a word that arrives in connection to the body part. Listen and honor whatever arrives for you. Don't filter the messages, judge or critique them. Your only job is to listen right now. Be curious, be interested, and be present to the body's messages. What body part emerges? What sensations are arriving? What messages are shared? Take note of this wisdom coming to you from your body. 3) Create an image of this physical body sensation that arrived through your self tracking. Use craypas or paint and put your experience on paper- so as to transfer the felt senses into a tangible, visual expression. This is a powerful part of the process and one that can shift us into deeper awareness of our body wisdom. 4) Once your image is complete, give it a title. Now, let it speak. What does your image have to share with you? If your image could speak, what would it say? 5) Pull out your Jyotish chart. What body part emerged in your self tracking exploration? What house of the chart is connected to this body part? Study this house within your chart. What do you notice? We can analyze the experience of the house by noting: What planets are sitting there, if any? What sign is located in this house? Do any planets give their drishti (gaze)? Finally, note the current transits and what planets might be effecting this house currently. Your body is sharing with you a very specific message. This message is directly connected to your needs, your desires, your deep longing for nourishment, comfort, safety and support on some core level. When we can access the wisdom of the body directly, we get very clear, unfiltered messages and insights. The cosmic intelligence of the jyotish chart can then help us further identify what is impacting us both macrocosmically and microcosmically. This is the vital information we need for deepening our healing and transformation process. Want more support with this process? Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The first New Moon of the year arrives on January 16th at 19:17 MST while Moon is transiting sidereal Capricorn and UttarAshada nakshatra. Just before the new Moon, on Sunday, January 14th, the returning of the Sun arrives. Makar Sankranti in the Vedic Calendar marks the movement of Surya/Sun into Capricorn and the beginning of more light and longer days. Mentioned in the Mahabharata, this solar festival is estimated to be about 5,000 years old. Mark this timing with intention and invite in the return of the light. What are you inviting in and ready to receive?! Hours before the new Moon, Mars shifts into its own sign, Scorpio, until March 7th. Planets in their own signs tend to offer more balance. Expect the warrior planet to ask you to dive deeply into your personal mythology. Look within and peer into your shadows and illusions. Use fear as a resource and let it guide you towards meaning and purpose. Superficiality won't be tolerated in this cycle. Put your muck boots on. Fiery Mars is considered exalted in Capricorn and four planets collide in this earthy sign at the time of the New Moon. Venus and Sun are too close for comfort still, creating a combustion. When fire (Sun) and water (Venus) conjunct, steam is created. How do you direct this passionate energy? Don't get burned out. Watch for depletion of your life force energy and overworking. Rest, silence and least force is vital right now. Venus, Sun, and Moon collide with the Moksha planet, Ketu as well. Ketu always brings restructuring and release which deepens at the time of the new Moon. Watch for sudden changes and transformations. What are you releasing and letting go of? What needs to be burned, cut, restructured or transformed in order to create space for the new? What personal mythology is keeping you stressed, overworked and misaligned? The constellation of UttarAshada is fixed- which gives stable, lasting results that offer great benefits. Vishvadeva rules this portion of the sky and provides integrity and alignment with ones highest purpose. Adharma (that which goes against dharma) is not tolerated. Integrity is key with this constellation. The all-gods who rule this domain remind us of virtue, goodness, truth, determination, talent, time, enjoyment, firmness, sight, fame and leadership. These are non-negotiable attributes of one's dharmic path. Where are you aligned with your purpose? Where are you misaligned? Use this waxing cycle to make radical improvements within your life path. This is a time of great healing and transformation. Seek balance, integration and strength. Clarify your needs and what is missing on your path. What resources and support do you need for greater ease and alignment? Where are you making life harder than it needs to be? Open you heart by leaning into your darkness and shadow. Not sure what this looks like for you? Notice where you are resisting or sabotaging your success, your needs and your nourishment. Attend to your gut, digestion and power. Watch for conflicts and misunderstandings. Seek peaceful solutions, without avoidance. Use your fire carefully. Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com As the Moon becomes dark and empty this month, themes of uprooting, untangling and destruction arrive. Just days before the new Moon, Sun shifts into his month long transit through Sagittarius. The December new Moon brings a collision of Moon, Saturn and Sun- all in Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra. The process of uprooting will be happening on multiple levels- including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Radical release is taking place and will require as much grounding as possible in order to navigate the chaos and change process. Stay close to the body. The new Moon occurs on December 17th just before midnight Mountain time. At 23:31 MT, Moon is completely empty and Sun, Moon and Saturn conjoin in the domain of the dark goddess, Nirrti. The constellation of Mula is synonymous with change and transformation. Uprooting on the psycho-emotional level will take place as Moon, Sun and Saturn shift through this notorious gandanta (gap). Ruling deity of this portion of the sky is Nirrti, who brings calamity, misfortune and chaos in her wake. As a result of these challenges, deep healing, insights and wisdom can occur. But without diligence, the chaos and adharma (that which goes against dharma) can also keep one from finding their way back to the path. This is an extremely fragile cycle. Do not take unnecessary risks in the coming days. This coming cycle destroys and uproots the parts of you that are disempowered. Seek truth, purpose and dharma above all. These are the sources of light that will help shine the light on your path. Seek your light source and tirelessly move closer to your shadow, the parts of you refusing to awaken. Crack open your ego. fearlessly lean into your inner masculine, and look closely at your fear. Why are you resisting your vulnerability, your heart and emotions? This is a time of immense healing, but it requires strength, willingness and courage to make strides. Pull the weeds from your garden. What is choking the life out of you? What is clogging your channels of nourishment and life force? What is keeping you playing small and pretending to be insignificant? Your power is immense. Let the strength and wisdom of your heart lead the way. Unpack the dynamics within your relationships and let them mirror to you what you need the most. Listen to your gut and let it share its wisdom with you. What are your deepest needs for nourishment? Ask the ancestors for support. As you attend to this powerful release process, intentionally create space for the new. What are you making space for in your life? What needs to be healed or released before you can fully receive these needs? Read more: Six Ways to Feed the Ancestors Creative Ritual The gut, or solar plexus, is the seat of power and connects us to the masculine, power and by default the fifth house of the jyotish chart, as well as the sign of Leo. The metaphors for gut have to do with digestion and assimilation as well as elimination. What are you digesting and assimilating? How effectively do you eliminate and release what you no longer need, what is no longer nourishing you? We use this process of digestion in our lives on multiple levels; with our assimilation of environment, our internal/external landscapes, with words, ideas and life's experiences. The gut is connected to intuition, our "gut responses". Stomach problems are associated with "the inability to process and assimilate impressions received from our outer environment. Our ability to eliminate, or how we eliminate, is connected with the abdomen. In Eastern traditions, the belly is considered the center of the body, and the place form which a state of balance emanates. The abdomen acts as a transit area between the upper and lower areas of our body." -The Expressive Body in Life, Art and Therapy by Daria Halprin. 1) Use movements such as "cat and cow" and gentle spinal twists to activate the gut. Notice if your breaths are going all the way to the base of the stomach, or stopping short. Lie on your back and place your hands on your belly. Feel the gentle undulations of its rise and fall with each breath. Gently knead your gut with your fingers. Notice any sore spots or lumps? Move around the navel in a circular pattern. Stop and let your body relax and respond to the touch of your hands on your belly. Move and connect with your stomach for 10-20 min. 2) As you complete your movement exploration, pause and check. What do you notice in your belly? What sensations and feelings arrive? Notice if any images, colors or shapes are present within. If your belly could share a message with you, what would it say? 3) Come to your drawing pad. Draw an image your belly. What feelings and images were invoked during your body part exploration? Let your image express these feelings and sensations. Spend 10-20 minutes on your image. Give your image a title then answer these questions: If your image could speak to you, what would it say? What am I releasing? What am feeding myself with? I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma.
