The June New Moon comes just after the Summer Solstice (Northern Hemisphere) while Moon is transiting Gemini and Ardra nakshatra. New Moon arrives on June 23rd at 20:31 Mountain time, inviting in powerful changes and uprooting for the waxing cycle to come. Four planets transit Ardra nakshatra at the time of the new Moon- Mars, Sun, Mercury and Moon. The unpredictable Ketu gives his gaze, promising change and release. Mula is on the Eastern horizon. Both constellations are notorious for challenges and change. Expect shifts with support, stability and grounding. Stay rooted and grounded as much as possible. Let your pelvis be a resource for this awareness. Your lessons will come in big waves, through powerful change and release. Storms can bring great learning so pay attention to the way your storms show up and what they are here to teach you. Something important is breaking free. Let it go. The constellation of Ardra is Rudra's domain. As the storm god, he brings power and force, potency and strength. He offers momentum, and transformational energy through the emotional body. Rudra brings big emotions- especially through grande emotional body waves, tears, anger and sadness. This energy is your power and if channeled properly, can support forceful changes- for better or worse- as well as destruction and successful attacks. The symbol of this constellation is a tear drop. Transformation, release and instability are a powerful part of this coming cycle. Find your grounding cord and hold on. Relationships become a challenging part of this change process, but will provide much growth, wisdom and teaching. Pay close attention to the messages arriving, the mirrors you are looking at, and how the wisdom arrives. With this big release taking place, there is potential for an all new support system to replace it. As you let go of relationships and change your inner dynamic, clarify what you need in order to feel safe, grounded and supported. This is not a time to take risks or be careless. Be careful, cautious and intentional with choices and actions. Go slow and steady. Destructive and aggressive forces are at play in the weeks ahead. Be mindful of your part in this process. Release challenging emotions in healthy, conscious ways and try not to take your challenges out on others. Take responsibility and accountability for your own feelings. Create healthy boundaries and honor your needs for safety, security, trust and stability. Find ways to get your needs met with skill and conscious awareness. Read more about what to expect with June's transits. Solstice occurs on June 20th at 22:24 Mountain Time. In the Northern Hemisphere, this is the longest day of the year in terms of daylight, also called the Summer Solstice. In the Southern Hemisphere, on the other hand, it is the shortest day of the year and is known as the Winter Solstice. Solstice comes from the Latin words sol, meaning Sun and sistere, meaning to come to a stop or stand still. On the day of the June Solstice, the Sun reaches its northernmost position, as seen from the Earth. At that moment, its zenith does not move north or south as during most other days of the year, but it stands still at the Tropic of Cancer. It then reverses its direction and starts moving south again. The opposite happens during the December Solstice. Then, the Sun reaches its southernmost position in the sky - Tropic of Capricorn - stands still, and then reverses its direction towards the north. Read More About the June Solstice. Just after the Solstice, Saturn retrogrades back into Scorpio on June 20th at 22:33 Mountain Time, returning to his enemies sign and the powerful depths of the 8th sign of the zodiac. Saturn will transit Scorpio another four months, before re-entering Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra on October 26th, for the remainder of his 2.5 year transit through this fire sign. Creative Ritual + Tapping Meditation Use this two part process to clear, release and transform old, stagnant mental and emotional body energies into space, opening and possibility. Start with the Tapping Meditation to clear big emotions and then move into the Creative Ritual in order to deepen your creation process and manifest more love, gratitude and nourishment into your life. Share your comments, questions and experiences below! Step 1 Use this podcast as you tap through these points: Karate chop point (side of the hand). Crown of the head. Eyebrow point (above the eye). Side of the eye. Under the eye. Under the nose. Chin point (crease of the chin). Throat point (collar bone/throat chakra). Heart point (center of chest). Stomach point (above the navel). Side body (nipple line at side of chest). Tap six to ten times on each point and just keep cycling through the points. Repeat the phrases I use aloud. Notice any thoughts, stories, memories or emotions that emerge as you tap. These are important pieces to return to, do more tapping on, as a way to clear blockages. As always, if the words I use don't work for you, change them to support your process more fully. Part 2 1) Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of the space you've created through this tapping meditation. What does this "space" within you feel like? Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow 10- 20 minutes at minimum for image. Title your image. 2) Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your "space" image with an intention of creating more inner awareness. What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What messages? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process. 3) Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions: I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine. What deeply nourishes me? What no longer nourishes me? Where do I feel support in my life? Where do I need more support? What am I opening to? What am I closing to? Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com It's week one of the Trump administration and people are already numbing out, avoiding because of the mental/emotional overload. Past trauma is being triggered for many, and showing up in all four bodies- physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. As Jupiter retrogrades on Sunday, Feb 5th, and moves back through Virgo, it's an important time to do some mental body clean up. Use this time to do an inner tune up and tune in. How fight, flight and freeze shows up and sabotages your success, momentum and progress: Fight: anger, retaliation, resistance Flight: avoid, cut and paste over, refuse to feel Freeze: inaction, numbing out, complete disconnection None of these responses will get you the results you desire. None are receptive, awake, or connected to your body wisdom. This is one of the main reasons I use Tapping, or the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). It is a proven method to heal and release the mental and emotional bodies swiftly. To help you soften, lean in and listen in a more embodied way- in a connected way. From this place of deep inner connection, you can take more effective action. Feeling overwhelmed and disempowered right now? Unclear about action steps and choices? Use my Tapping Meditation for Empowerment below to awaken your inner power and clarify your powerful next steps. Tapping Meditation for Dharmic Empowerment Use this Tapping Meditation when you feel stuck, afraid or resistant to change. When you get triggered by someone else or find yourself frozen in old patterns and behaviors. Remember that we always start with "truth tapping" by expressing feelings and experiences that feel challenging. This is a vital part of the process and paves the way for transformation and healing. In the podcast below, I share a tapping (EFT) sequence with you that will guide you through transforming and releasing the old stories and invite in more receptivity. Remember, we start with identifying the challenges, then moving into possibility and desires in order to transform our shadow into light. Use this podcast as you tap through these points: Karate chop point (side of the hand). Share your experiences below! What emerged for you in this process? Excited to hear from you! I yearn for this amazing planet to wake up! I ache for this world to awaken from the numbing. The October New Moon occurs at 11:38 MDT on Sunday, the 30th, Coinciding with Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Moon is transiting Libra and Swati nakshatra at this time. This constellation is ruled by Vayu, the wind god, who brings powerful forces of change and movement with him. He is cosmic breath, prana, supporting all the internal Vayus. He is your breath of life, the breath of the gods, the breath of Nature. The immense strength of the Rudras comes from Vayu. Hanuman is a Rudra, who proved his extreme powers when he leaped to Lanka, saving Sita and upholding dharma. This right action was an act of devotion towards Lord Rama. This new Moon sparks an immense change process, spearheaded by Vayu himself. Deep uprooting takes place in this waxing cycle. Expect transformation and release to intensify in the coming days. The changes coming will be swift, sudden and unexpected. This process is dharmic, but uncertain, spiritual, yet may be confusing and uncomfortable. Release is occurring, which supports opening to new space, potential and possibility. Attending to the letting go process with intention is vital. How do you want to attend to the new, sacred space within you? What are you inviting in? Let it be conscious. At the time of the new Moon, Mars is on the horizon at the very edge of Sagittarius. The doorway is open between fire and earth, as Mars prepares to shift into its sign of exaltation. The cycle to come jump starts some courageous leaps. What are you leaping towards? What are you leaping away from? Gather momentum, take action, create and co-create. Above all, clear and release stagnation and that which doesn't honor your basic needs for nourishment and support. This includes relationships, behaviors, limiting beliefs, grief and emotions, You will need to dig very, very deeply to find the pearls, but it will be well worth your efforts. Saturn and Venus are also in exact conjunction at the time of the new Moon, as they transit through Scorpio right now. Pain, darkness and grief may rise to the surface. Be gentle with relationships and ask for extra support in the coming days. You'll need it, but may resist it simultaneously. The need for structure and flow becomes self evident. This influences your relationships greatly. Attend to dark matter that is rising to the surface right now. Your hidden grief is requesting you look closely right now. Keep it moving. This is a time of deep integration and increasing inner/outer harmony with shadow and light, as well as all polarities. Attend to the integration process diligently. The first night of Deepavali, or Diwali, begins October 26th. This is a five day celebration of Maha Lakshmi, honoring her divine abundance. Goddess Lakshmi blesses us with wealth on all levels of life- through health, vitality and wellness, as well as monetary abundance, resources and riches. She supports the flow of love to the heart and brings harmony, balance and integration to the entire body. The most significant day of Diwali is on the new Moon day, Amavasya. Honor and celebrate Maha Lakshmi on the 30th with sweets, new clothing, chanting, and many lights! Light your lights! Traditionally we leave candles lit or lamps in your home turned on all through the night. This will beckon more light to greet you in the coming months and signals Lakshmi to visit you! Open the doors of your heart and allow the nourishment of beloved Lakshmi to wash you with her generosity and gifts. Creative Ritual + Tapping Meditation Use this two part process to clear, release and transform old, stagnant mental and emotional body energies into space, opening and possibility. The October full Moon on the 15th stirs a remarkable vulnerability with Moon in a very delicate gap point between Pisces and Aries. At 22:23 MDT, the fullness of the Moon arrives at the edge of Pisces, just past 29 degrees. The portal between endings and beginnings is activated, awake, alive. Pure vulnerability is provoked at this time, while simultaneously ushering in mystical and spiritual power. The Pisces/Aries gandanta (gap) is particularly challenging as Moon shifts from water into fire, release and liberation into hope and possibility. There can be confusion and uncertainty about moving forward as well grief through loss. Trust that this is a cycle of renewal. Pisces is also connected to the ancestors and endings, while Aries brings a young, new energy with it. This full Moon provokes the energy of closure and awakening to the new. What are you opening to? What are you closing to? Moon will be transiting Revati nakshatra at the time of the Full Moon, the final lunar constellation of the zodiac. Pushan rules this portion of the sky, bringing fruitful journeys and resources for your travels. Revati nakshatra is a Mrdu constellation- soft, mild and tender. It can be used for auspicious beginnings and ceremonies. As an Aditya (one who brings support) Pushan is known to provide nourishment and he does so through resources. He protects your path and will provide support for your journey- whether earthly or astral. At the time of the full Moon, Ardra nakshatra is on the eastern horizon, this intensifies the power awakened in the cycle to come. Strength through emotion activates, as Rudra, the storm god, rules this constellation. As Moon transits Pisces during the full Moon, Mars gives his gaze, as does Jupiter, Sun and Mercury. Emotions are enlivened through power and wisdom. The waning cycle will bring depth to the heart and awakening through the mental and emotional body levels. It's a time of clearing and cleaning, purging and release. As you create more space in your heart, more light will come. Use the wisdom arriving to support your heart awakening process. Allow yourself to receive guidance and support for this process. Ask your ancestors to help you release and remove the old, toxic debris in your heart- all that is keeping you from receiving the nourishment you seek. Let your grief move through in conscious ways, clearing and cleaning your heart space, awakening your needs and allowing more receptivity to arrive. This is a time of healing relationships. Healing yourself in relationship to others and healing yourself in relationship to self. There will be deep seated, old and stagnant grief moving through you in the cycle to come- especially connected to relationship. Allow it to be a balm of awakening, softening and letting go. As you clear and clean the pain from your bodies, move towards gratitude, loving kindness and compassion. Say yes to nourishment and emotions that honor your tenderness, Lean into your vulnerability and awaken your deeper power. This will help you find the root of your true empowerment.
