“Don’t surrender you loneliness so quickly. Let it cut more deep. Let it ferment and season you as few human or even divine ingredients can.”
- Hafiz

As the year comes to a close, one final full Moon occurs on December 29th at 20:27 MT while Moon is transiting Gemini and Ardra nakshatra. This is a powerful close to an incredible year.

Out like a lion, in like a lamb?! Out with ferocity, in with space for something new. This full Moon asks you to clear, purge and release stagnant emotions and lingering grief from the previous cycles. Expect big waves and inner storms. Big gains may be likely, but make sure you are grounded or you will get destabilized.

Ardra is Rudra’s domain. There is nothing small, silent or still when it involves Rudra. He comes with big energy and powerful, often forceful, change. The domain of Ardra is particularly connected to big emotional body waves. The symbol of this constellation is a tear drop. Wherever there has been a build up of undigested emotion, Ardra will force the release. This is a potent time to do your grief work, attend to your inner waters, and support the release of stagnant emotions. Spend some time with your emotional body and be diligent with your inner waves. What are you still processing from this year? What needs to be closed and released so you can move forward?

What is the wisdom of your emotional body sharing with you? What needs to be digested and integrated from this year? What feels too big or overwhelming still? What are you moving away from? What are you moving towards? What is your relationship with the emotional body helping you discover and awaken?

Identifying Your Inner Landscape

I consider the four level check in to be the most basic self care resource.
It is an identification process, a tool that can help you honor what is happening in the now. You can then create the nourishment you need through proper resources.

The four levels of awareness are:
the mental body, emotional body, physical body, and spiritual body.

I encourage you to self track daily, hourly, or even moment to moment. Your identification process can then be taken into drawing, movement explorations, journaling or music, in order for you to deepen, directly work with, and transform what is arriving in your inner landscape.

The four level check in is a simple, yet vital resource for self tracking. Document your four level check-ins. Use a Self Care Journal as a way to track your ongoing, ever changing inner landscape. This journal can be a helpful resource for identifying themes emerging in your healing and transforming process.

Steps for A Four Level Check In

1) Whatever you are doing right now, hit the pause button and bring your attention inward. It may help to close your eyes, but this isn't necessary. You may be sitting, standing or walking, but bring your attention to the now regardless of what is happening around you. Notice your breath and use this as a resource for coming back to the present.

2) Notice the physical body. What sensations are arriving in your body? What is the physical body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise.

3) Notice the emotional body. What is arriving on the level of feelings and emotions within you? What is the emotional body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise.

4) Notice the mental body. What thoughts, words, stories, ideas, or perceptions are arriving? What is the mental body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise.

5) Notice the spiritual body. This is a very subtle, nuanced place within and around you. Notice how it feels and how it arrives. Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes arriving from the spiritual body.

6) Come to your drawing pad and draw four circles. Each one of these circles represents one of your four bodies. Start with the physical body and fill in your sensation circle with colors, images, or shapes that mirror or express your physical body check in. Do this for each body.

7) Label each circle with the body that it represents. Title each circle and let it speak. If your physical body circle could speak, what would it say?
Let it respond to these statements:

I am
I want
I need

Complete this harvesting process for each level of your body.

This is an important time for self reflection, digestion, and integration of the previous cycles. Spend some time in the coming days and weeks harvesting from your past year and creating a sense of closure. Look back over your 2020 Creative Rituals. What have you created this year? What strikes you?

As you create closure for this year, allow ritual to support your release process. What steps can you take to honor this closure and release? What rituals can help you close this chapter and let go?

I encourage you to find ways that art, music, dance, sound, nature and the elements can support the close of your year.

It’s been wonderful to walk with you this year and to support your cosmic and creative process!

August New Moon

As of Sunday, a two year Mars cycle has ended. He is making some unusual movements in the coming months, navigating openings and closings repeatedly. Mars is the planet of action, focus, courage- and his fiery ways support goals and accomplishments. He has newly entered Aries, sitting in the gap between endings and beginning for an extended stay.

Normally, Mars transits are roughly two months in length, but Mars will retrograde in Aries on September 9th and re-enter Pisces on October 4th. During this retrograde cycle, he will retrace his steps through Pisces until the end of the year.

Notice what themes have emerged for you over the past two months as you will be asked to re-visit these steps from October to December once again. There may be a lack of clarity and some uncertainty arriving with this cycle, so pay attention to what is feeling good and what needs to be released once and for all.

Mars will go direct in Pisces on November 13th and will re-enter Aries on December 24th. During the coming months, he will usher in themes of opening and closing, loss and arrivals. Look for fresh starts, renewal, opening and beginnings once he enters Aries again as 2021 arrives.

This unusual Mars transit will directly impact the Mars ruled signs of Aries and Scorpio the most. Those who are highly influenced by Mars in their natal chart, or running a Mars Maha Dasha, should pay close attention as well. Notice where Mars is located in your natal chart and what houses he will be moving through as he navigates Pisces and Aries throughout the rest of the year.

Currently, all three gandantas, or sacred gaps, are open. These are junction points between water and fire in the zodiac. When a planet transits through these spiritual junction points, it experiences a major transformation and uprooting process. Often big life changes happen with these junctions. They are also considered extremely spiritual because they uproot blockages on the psycho-emotional body levels.

Now that Mars has leaped into Aries, he is transiting the first of three gandantas in the zodiac. This ushers in fresh starts and rejuvenation. Sun and Mercury have also just moved to the second gandanta of the zodiac, Magha. This spiritual portion of the sky is directly connected to the ancestors, power, and ego. Pay attention to what needs to transform in relationship to your power, masculine and purpose.

Ketu has been transiting the third gandanta, Mula, for over a year now. This 1.5 year transit ends on September 23rd when Ketu shifts into Scorpio and Rahu moves to Taurus. As a planet leaves a house, it tends to intensify. Mula nakshatra can clear the path for dharma, or present major obstacles that hinder the path. Are you moving closer to your soul purpose right now, or further away?

With all three gandantas wide open right now, the coming weeks are especially vulnerable and delicate. It is not a good time to take unnecessary risks, however, it is an excellent time to do your inner work, transform shadow into light, and overcome obstacles on your spiritual path. Attend to your dharmic path and it will be time well spent.

Magha New Moon

Moon completely empties on the 18th at 20:42 MT while transiting Leo and Magha nakshatra. Sun, Moon, and Mars are all in tight conjunction in Magha nakshatra at this time. The cycle ahead is asking you to be more vigilant with your power- how you use it, why you use it, what it means for you. Are you in right relationship with your masculine, power source, and inner strength?

Magha nakshatra is considered a gandanta. One of three gaps in the zodiac between water and fire, notorious for uprooting the psycho-emotional bodies. Whatever unconscious entanglements are gripping you, it’s possible to loosen them and release them at this time. Be honest with your shadow work and diligently acknowledge personal mythology with your disempowerment, victim, use of strength and power in the cycle ahead.

Pitr rules the domain of Magha which automatically connects this portion of the sky with the ancestors. There is a direct correlation with father and father’s lineage here as well. Over 50% of your karma and grief work is connected to your ancestors. Magha brings lineage grief to the surface and will ask you to face your power, karma, and lineage issues directly.

This is an ideal time to pay homage and give gratitude to your ancestors. Feed them, bring offerings to your ancestor altar, notice symbols or message arriving directly from Spirit. Give your blessings to those who have come before, as well as the gifts they have shared with you. After all, you would not be here without them.

Where do you feel connected to your ancestors and your lineage? Where do you feel disconnected? In what ways are you creating connections with your ancestors and building a relationship with them? How do the ancestors show up for you and what messages do they share?

Here Are Six Ways to Feed Your Ancestors

Wishing you a clear and aligned cycle ahead,

Swati*

Can You Answer These Five Questions?

Picture
Jyotish is a Sanskrit word that translates as the study of light (Jyoti means light).

Rooted in a tradition that can be traced back thousands of years, Jyotish has a very long history of being a tool of self discovery and awakening.

For thousands of years, Jyotish has been used as a powerful tool for clarifying dharma. The purpose of Jyotish has always been to keep the soul connected to its purpose so it does not lose sight of how to awaken in this lifetime. It's so easy to get lost, distracted, and unclear with so much maya (illusion) in the body. If used properly, Jyotish supports clarity and understanding so the light of the soul can be illuminated.

If You Can Answer These Five Questions,
You Can Clarify Your Dharma.

Do you have an accurate birth time?

An exact birth time is vital for creating an accurate jyotish chart. This means you know the exact timing of your birth, location, and date. Your jyotish chart is a map of the eastern horizon at the time of your birth. This map indicates your souls karma in this lifetime.

Can you identify your rising sign?

Your rising sign, or ascendant, determines the overall structure of your entire birth chart. If you can identify your rising sign, you can clarify the other important parts of the chart. Your ascendant shares a lot about you as a person and how you view the world.

Can you identify the twelve houses of the jyotish chart?

Every house has a very specific meaning and purpose. Each house has a direct connection to your body and life experiences. Knowing the houses and their meanings is vital for unpacking your purpose and path.

Do you know what the twelve signs of the zodiac are?

If you can identify the twelve signs of the zodiac, you can clarify important layers and themes of your jyotish chart. Understanding the signs and where they live in your chart is important when unpacking your houses and planetary expressions.

Can you locate the nine planets in your chart?

The flavors of the planets and where they live in your jyotish chart give a lot of valuable information to you about who you are and how you experience the world. The subtleties and nuances of their placements offer valuable details about your path and purpose in this life time.

Studying your jyotish chart is an essential tool for understanding your dharmic path.

The Wisdom of Rahu and Ketu ~for your Dharmic Path

The Wisdom of Rahu and Ketu
~for Your Dharmic Path

Whenever the darkness is not integrated and unified with the light, the effects will not be balanced or harmonious. The shadow always seeks the light and the light will always return to darkness. This is a Law of Nature- as they are one and the same.

Ultimately, Rahu can not be denied, nor Ketu- his counterpart in karmic liberation. One's jyotish chart shows where the shadow is seeking light and how it will bring your awakening.

The blessing of your courageous efforts and your willingness, is finding that within the darkest and most disturbing parts of yourself, you will actually find the missing pieces you are desperately longing for; your whole and empowered life. If you are truly willing to courageously look into your own shadows you will undoubtedly find the very gifts you so desperately long to receive. Your shadows in fact hold the gifts you seek for wholeness, for your dharmic giving, your offerings to the world, and for a meaningful life.

This is What your Karma Tells You About Your Dharma

We all have resistance. Finding the resistance within yourself and within your life, will point the way towards your own shadow parts. Remember that the energy you use to resist your own darkness takes incredible energy to maintain, and is a drain to the vital life force energy that could be put to good use elsewhere. Energy you could put into living your one precious life- actualizing your dreams, taking bold, fulfilling action steps!

We each have an attraction and repulsion dynamic within us-
a push and a pull.

What you desperately long for and desire is the core of your shadow work and points the way to all the pieces of your darkness. What you deeply long for is seeking you in other words. And it's hidden beneath your shadows. This shadow, and working with one's darkness in order to awaken, is the juxtaposition of Rahu (shadow) and Ketu (light) in ones Jyotish chart, and why Rahu is both darkness and compulsions, as well as desires and insatiable needs.

Let Rahu drive you towards your own wholeness. Let him show you what you long for, what you need the most in this life, and let him also show you what you are resisting simultaneously.

Wherever Rahu sits in your jyotish chart (the house, the sign, the planets he interacts with, the nakshatra he resides in etc.) points directly to the main theme of your personal life story. Rahu and Ketu are quite literally karma points and they show you why you have incarnated into this body, into this life, and what you are here to learn. The dance of shadow and light, Rahu and Ketu, fully express your ability and your willingness to grow and awaken in this life time. Will you continue to resist your shadows, your darkness (Rahu)? Or will the compulsion to emerge from the illusions be strong enough to force your awakening and crack you open (Ketu)?

Join My Upcoming Jyotish Masterclass

The power within the shadow is two fold. When you resist your darkness, you refuse and resist the healing and the medicine that your life has to offer. You are essentially refusing and resisting awakening to your most essential gifts. These gifts always reveal your dharma, your life purpose, your reason for being alive, and thus there is an immense reward for your efforts- if you choose to take on the task fully.

However, it is not the path of ease, numbness, ignorance and denial. In order to awaken, you must invite in your shadow parts, continue to go deeper into your darkness in unending cycles, to dive for pearls of truth tirelessly- as though your life depends on it. It does.

This is why aligning with one's dharma, one's true reason for being alive, is not for everyone, and is in fact evasive for most people. For those who thrive on transformation though, the gifts are unending and continue to unfold.

The shadows after all, hold your most potent power, and the wisdom you need for your life and your cycles of death and rebirth. The skill then becomes not just the willingness to go into your shadow, your darkness, but to also know when to let go of it, to release and shift into something new.

Some will never walk into their shadows and bravely peel back the layers of their suffering and pain. For those willing to do this courageous work, you must also remember how to come up for air, to take a breath, to dance with both the darkness and the light, to heal and overcome the vow of brokenness, while continuing to bravely dance with your shadows cyclically.

Clients who come to me are walking this fine edge of wanting to awaken; there is a desire to know what their life means and how to overcome their biggest obstacles- and yet simultaneously there is a strong fear to look. This is the attraction/repulsion dynamic at play, a true expression of Rahu driving us towards answers, yet fearful of what we will find once we get there.

Join my August Jyotish Masterclass at 50% OFF

Rahu and Ketu are not planets at all, they are mathematical points on either side of the Moon with rather significant implications on our Self experience.

The Moon is arguably the most influential part of the chart- indicating our experiences within the womb and our relationship with mother, as well as our inner nature.

The Moon is our guide for emotional well being and our connection to our intuitive self. In fact, the Moon is so important to our life experience, the relationship the nodes have with the Moon indicates their impact on our emotional well being- among other things. Rahu and Ketu, the Moon and the rest of the chart, all create our own unique stories, mythologies and individual karmic dramas.

The nodes, as Rahu and Ketu are referred to, are mischievous in nature. They present our karmas to us in this incarnation. Without them, and their very valuable life lessons, we would not have incarnated into a human body. They are essential to this lila, this play of life, that we are involved with in this dimension.

Both Rahu and Ketu have their own unique array of offerings, but because they are shadow "planets" they often evade prediction.

Their nature is to deceive, mystify, to be illusive, and to blind us from our true nature. They represent forces that can't be seen and are the parts of ourselves that go unnoticed and unrecognized. When, and if, the shadow or veil of illusion is removed, and we do see what has been hidden from us, it is often extremely painful.

Rahu and Ketu request that we ask ourselves:
What am I not seeing or what am I not willing to see?
What am I clinging to and unable to let go of?

Studying your jyotish chart is an essential tool for understanding your dharmic path.

December New Moon Eclipse Wisdom + Creative Ritual

12/25/2019

Picture

The last new Moon of the year (and decade) is an interesting way to close this chapter, while opening to the new. On December 25th at 22:14 MT, the new Moon arrives in Mula Nakshatra with six planets transiting Sagittarius. Mercury and Mars change signs the same day, while the annual Solar Eclipse begins simultaneously. Many around the world also celebrate Christmas on the 25th, which creates another interesting dynamic with this very unusual new Moon.

Six planets transit Sagittarius around the new Moon- Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Ketu. Four of these planets will be moving through the challenging constellation of Mula nakshatra at this time- Sun, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter. The same day of the new Moon, Mars enters his own sign, Scorpio, causing some instability for action. Mercury moves to Sagittarius on the 25th as well, leaping right into Mula nakshatra, conjunct five other planets. The mental body will be in a chaos of sorts in the coming days. Not a good time to make big decisions. Watch your money and communication.

Sagittarius is a fire sign known for its spiritual inclinations. As the number nine, it naturally reflects the wisdom of the 9th house of dharma. Symbolized by an archer pulling his arrow back, this sign needs to remember to take action, not just prepare. There is a tendency for "over-preparation" with this sign, rather than taking focused, right-action. Notice where you are causing delays, creating obstructions, resisting forward momentum. The support will be here for you to move forward, but you must take the steps to make it happen. This sign wants fairness and justice, as well as truth. The shadow side to this sign is dogma, puritanical beliefs and ideals.

The first constellation of Sagittarius is Mula, considered one of three gandantas in the zodiac- a gap between water and fire. Gandantas are notorious for uprooting the psycho-emotional body levels. This particular gandanta, or gap, is connected to the nakshatra, Mula. Ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti, this constellation is often disruptive for the dharmic path. Nirrti in fact is married to adharma, that which goes against dharma, causing calamities, chaos and misfortune on the path that obstructs or delays dharma. Four planets transit Mula nakshatra at the time of the new Moon- Sun, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter. Expect your tap root to feel unstable at this time. A poignant uprooting is taking place physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually at this time. Grounding and stability are vital.

Are you making choices that move you closer to dharma or further away from it? What are you releasing, removing or uprooting right now? What needs to be cleared and eliminated so that you can move forward in a different way? What needs are surfacing as you sift and sort through the rubble? What are you making space for and how do you want to move forward differently?

The annual solar eclipse will intensify the instability surfacing so pay attention to what is emerging from your depths. This opens a two week cycle that will invoke the depth of your shadows.
Eclipses intensify everything and tend to make mountains out of mole hills- so we can see what we have been avoiding or negating within the unconscious realms. We may get lost in the overwhelm and negativity during this two week cycle, so keep moving toward the light. Stay positive and look for solutions rather than focusing on the darkness, but do not bypass the necessary inner work that you are being asked to show up for. This is a powerful time to address inner shadows head on and release inner blockages that you've been overlooking.

Your willingness to honor your big emotions will support their release. Stay present and willing to be with your challenging parts. There is something trying to push through and come to the surface. Are you listening? What needs to change? Your emotional body waves are asking for more nourishment. Be willing to support the release so that you have space for more of what you truly want and need.

This eclipse portal begins with a solar eclipse on December 25th and lasts for two weeks, ending with a Gemini full Moon on January 10th with a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. The December 25th solar eclipse begins at 19:29 MT and ends at 01:05 am on the 26th, with the maximum eclipse occurring at 22:17 MT on the 25th.

A reminder that this begins a two week cycle that is not good for starting new projects.
Emotions tend to intensify during eclipses and shadows are much stronger. You may feel less clear and focused so don't make sudden decisions. Challenges often intensify so we can see them more clearly and make the necessary changes that will support new growth. This can be a time of immense inner transformation if used properly.

Even though this eclipse is not visible in the Northern Hemisphere, from a Vedic perspective, it is not advised to be outside during an eclipse or to look directly at the eclipse taking place. Wear a head covering if you have to be outside so you don't absorb the shadow. Ideally, this is a time for spiritual practices such as meditation, chanting and fasting. Set intentions and honor the sensitivity of this time. It is also widely recognized that during and between eclipses, starting new endeavors will not bring positive results. No new projects, relationships or activities should start in the eclipse portal. Notice what needs are arriving, then take action after the eclipse portal closes. Best to lay low, attend to spiritual pursuits, get extra rest and work with your inner shadow very consciously during this cycle.

Use the two week Eclipse cycle for spiritual practices, rest, retreat and your dharmic path. Set intentions for the coming weeks and honor your self care. Honor you emotional body wisdom and confront your inner shadows. Make necessary changes in your actions and choices. Release negative thought patterns, behaviors and inner dialogue that is keeping you stuck in patterns and cycles of lack. Clear, release and let go so that you have even more space for your deepest nourishment.

This final new Moon of the year and decade is a dramatic closure, while ushering in a fresh start promising change and uprooting. The old stories you have been carrying with you need to be re-evaluated. Are they accurate and true? Do they really represent who you are and what you want for your life? You have a powerful opportunity with this new Moon eclipse cycle to eradicate the past, clear and remove the parts of yourself that no longer serve you. You must be willing to courageously see your darkness and shadow first. In the coming two weeks be diligent with your clearing and release process.

The timing of this new Moon and eclipse at the end of year and decade is remarkable and poignant. Do not underestimate the power of this moment- for your life and your dharmic path. You have a unique opportunity to move forward in a completely different way- if you have the courage and willingness to create something new. Declare your intentions, desires and dreams. Commit to taking the bold action steps required to make this a reality in the coming year and decade.

Creative Ritual

As you move through this eclipse portal cycle, integrating and digesting the powerful themes of this shadowed time, there will be strong emotional body waves activated. This is a cleansing cycle, a time to release old, undigested grief and harvest rich inner wisdom that has long been covered up by your shadow.

Use this Tapping Meditation as a resource for uncovering your emotional body wisdom, so you can find the needs underneath the big feelings. Then follow up with the Creative Ritual below. Attend to the space you've created with consciousness and presence.

Step One:

Tapping Meditation for Clearing and Release

Step Two:

Awakening Inner Space ~ Creative Ritual

After you complete the Tapping Meditation and move some emotion, notice your internal landscape. What is arriving?! As you continue to cultivate inner presence, I invite you to notice the space within your body. Where do you feel more space in the body? Where does this space arrive within you? How does it feel? This space within is ripe with potential and possibility. It is fragile and vulnerable, but also very powerful.

This creative ritual will help you continue to cultivate a relationship with this inner space.

1) Create An Image. Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of the space you are cultivating a relationship with. What does this space feel like within you? Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow 10 to 20 minutes at minimum for this image. Title your image.

2) Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your space image. Use the intention of "moving with this feeling of space in the body". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process.

* If you are in an acute grief phase, you may wish to simply hold a shape in the body, to mirror your space image, rather than move the image.

3) Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions:

I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine, I express.

How do you want to attend to this space within?
What is your intention moving forward?
What am I opening to? What am I closing to?

December Full Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual

12/9/2019

This December Full Moon arrives on the 11th at 22:12 MT, while Moon travels through Taurus and Mrigashirsha Nakshatra. Moon's favorite sign is Taurus and truly loves this constellation of Soma where he is considered in his mulitrikona degrees, or his "office". Full Moon in Taurus supports earth magic in the cycle ahead so be clear on what you are manifesting and bringing into form. This is an important time to create something new.

At the time of the full Moon, Mars, Mercury and Sun give their drishti to the Moon, creating sharp, clear and focused perception. Four planets are still navigating Sagittarius, including Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Ketu. Dharma and your spiritual path should be a strong focus right now. Move into right relationship with your dharmic path and purpose.

Mrigashirsha nakshatra falls in Taurus and is ruled by the personification of Moon, the god Soma. From a Vedic perspective, the Moon is Soma itself, the divine nectar of life. From an Ayurvedic perspective, staring at a full Moon will allow you to soak up Soma directly and the Moon glow can even heal your eyes. A drink of Moon's Soma supports longevity, vitality and life force. The qualities of this constellation directly support increased Soma- on all levels of life. Soma is lord of the plants, giving them healing and nourishing qualities which are most potent in the waxing cycle.

Symbolically, the constellation of Mrigashirsha correlates to the deer and its antlers. Traditionally, deer antlers were ground into a fine powder and used as an aphrodisiac. The quality of the deer and its antlers is constant movement and growth, branching out, extending, finding new green grass, new food sources, more abundance. Mrigashirsha is a soft, gentle constellation with fickle and changeable inclinations just like the Moon and the deer.

This full Moon and the waning cycle ahead supports new growth, branching out, extending beyond your comfort zone and moving towards the new. Stagnation is a certain death for anyone born with this constellation placed prominently in their chart. A reminder to move in a new direction in the cycle ahead with conscious intention.

Use this cycle to focus and align with your path, purpose and the direction you want to move in. Take action steps and be clear with your intention. Move in a life supportive direction. One that honors your growth, health, vitality and deepest desires. Look for and seek out opportunities that increase your nourishment. Open up new channels and pathways that support life. Expand and branch out.

Are you moving in a direction that supports your nourishment? Where are you moving closer to your joy? Where are you moving further away from it? Where do you need to change direction or find a new path?

Solstice arrives in the waning cycle ahead on December 21st at 21:19 MT. Considered a time when life seems to stop, or stand still, use this time for pause, meditation and silence.

"The term Solstice comes from the Latin word solstitium, meaning 'the Sun stands still'. This is because on this day, the Sun reaches its southern-most position as seen from the Earth. The Sun seems to stand still at the Tropic of Capricorn and then reverses its direction. It's also common to call it the day the Sun turns around." - Via Time and Date

As the still point arrives and the reversal of the light takes place, it is a powerful time for introspection and release. This is a time to attend to shadows, grief and undigested emotions. Clearing, purging and releasing lingering emotions from the past cycle will create space for the new, opening you to more life force in the months ahead.

What needs to be cleared and released? What is undigested from the previous year, decade? What are you making space for in your life?

November New Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual

11/25/2019

Picture

On the morning of Tuesday, November 26th, the Scorpio new Moon arrives while transiting Anuradha nakshatra. Sun and Moon collide in the sign of depth and transformation while the empty, dark Moon inspires possibility and potential. This is a particularly helpful cycle for turning your darkness into light. Prepare to activate something new and change old patterns and behaviors. What needs to be enlivened and awakened within you?

Anuradha nakshatra is ruled by Mitra who supports friendships and connections that support and uplift life. This constellation is also a powerful reminder of transformation and celebration. Symbolized by a triumphal gateway, this portion of the sky ushers in the arrival of improvement, upliftment and achievement. A powerful reminder that our darkness can be shifted and transformed into something life serving and empowering. Through your dharma, release and change your tragedy, pain and struggles into light, awareness and a powerful offering to the world.

In the waxing cycle ahead, spend time with quality people, dear friends and trusted allies. Ask for support from those you love and cherish. Work towards co-creation and connection. Acknowledge the challenges you face and commit to transformation and healing. Lighten your load and turn the heaviness and sorrow into ease and gentleness. The medicine for your journey is self love and acceptance.

What needs to be reframed? How can you rewrite your story? How do you want to feel and what direction do you want to go? What steps are you committed to taking so you can finally feel successful?

As of November 16th, Sun has just moved to Scorpio and out of debilitation, joining Venus here. This will feel like a nice lift after the past month of low energy and deep, inner focus. However Sun will be shining his light now on the depths of Scorpio which supports powerful inner transformation and darkness coming to light. Bring awareness to what needs to shift and where you can support this awakening.

Tension comes with the conjunction of Mars and retrograde Mercury in Libra as these two energies want different things. Thinking vs doing may be struggling right now, particularly with matters of relationships and co-creation. Mercury goes direct on November 20th and begins to separate from Mars, until he moves into Scorpio on December 5th.

Jupiter is still in Mula nakshatra, having newly entered Sagittarius. Although he is stronger in degrees now, he is still transiting a constellation notorious for uprooting, untangling, clearing and transforming. There is a powerful spiritual process of shape shifting taking place for everyone on the planet right now.

Put on your seat belt because we have four more major planets who will be transiting through the powerful gandanta (gap) between Scorpio and Sagittarius taking place between now and January. As Venus, Mercury, Sun, and the Mars, pass through Mula nakshatra in the coming months, we will all be experiencing major life change.

This will cause a powerful uprooting, Awakening, and transformation process to take place on all levels of body, mind, spirit and emotions. None of us will be the same by the end of this. Each one of us is making space for something entirely new. Pay attention to what needs to be released and tossed out once and for all so you have the space for an entirely new way of existing.

Mars is the last planet to go through the gandanta February 8th, ushering in a completion and focused release which will support entirely new type of action. Pay attention to what steps need to shift and change so you can create very different results for your life and path.

Remember that Sagittarius correlates to the 9th house of dharma in the zodiac. As Jupiter, Saturn, Ketu, Venus, Mercury, Sun, Mars and Moon move through this incredibly spiritual placement, your path, purpose and dharma are going through a deep and life changing transformation and refinement. Mediocrity won't be tolerated.

What needs to shift so you can be in right relationship with your path and purpose?

What is in your way of being connected, aligned, and focused on your dharma more fully?
Where are you resisting your passion, desires and inner wisdom?

What types of support, guidance and wisdom do you need to support you in this dharmic transition?!

Creative Ritual

1) Spend some time journaling about where you are going on your path and what direction you want to move in. What goals do you have? What is the time frame for these goals? What is your vision for your life, for your dharmic gifts, your dharmic business?

2) Create an image of this vision you have for your life and your dharmic offering. What colors, textures, images share the feeling of this vision? Use craypas, collage, paint or any medium that inspires you. Spend 20 minutes on this image or create until it feels complete.

3) Harvest from your image. Give it a title and let it speak. If this image could speak to you, what would it say? Let is answer these questions:

I am
I want
I need

What action steps, choices and behaviors are moving you closer to your dharmic vision?
What actions, choices and behaviors are moving you further away from your dharmic vision?

November Full Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual

11/10/2019

The November Full Moon arrives early morning on the 12th at 06:34am MT, while Moon is transiting Aries and Bharani nakshatra. A re-birthing arrives with this cycle- so plan accordingly. Restraint and focus are required in the coming weeks. Clarify your needs and open to something new. This waning cycle will support the shedding and release of your old self, while supporting the arrival of a new, upgraded version of yourself as well. Have you cleared what needs to be released so you can make space for the new?

Bharani nakshatra is ruled by Yama, Lord of restraint. He is responsible for judging your karmas after death, determining what direction your soul goes in the after life. He can be cruel with his discernment and does not allow anyone to escape their actions, choices, or behaviors. Yama is the ultimate judge on all levels of life- reminding us that every action has a reaction and a consequence.

Interestingly, the constellation of Bharani is symbolized by the Yoni. This is a portion of the sky connected to birthing, bringing forth something new. It is both vulnerable, sensual, and sensitive, as well as immensely powerful and strong. Bharani reminds us that we often we must go through restraint, and restriction in order to clarify and align with a new path, a new direction, a new life. Notice what is being refined right now in your life. Acknowledge where you are feeling pinched, pruned, forced to clarify your needs and desires. Are you being clear about your direction and focus? Do you know where to focus your gaze? Your action steps and energy?

Use this waning cycle to clean up your path and purpose. If you are misaligned or being frivolous, Yama will put the smack down and force you to make some hard choices. He will also support ease and fluidity when you are aligned with right action, dharma. Notice what is being supported and what is not. It's time to make some choices about where you want to go, and what you want to create for your life. If you aren't getting the support of Natural Law that you want and need, you need to redirect and pivot.

Sun is still debilitated in Libra until the 16th of November, joined by retrograde Mercury and Mars right now. Watch for relationship tensions and seek balance with others. With Venus in Scorpio, an exchange of energy between Venus and Mars takes place for the coming weeks. This supports clarity, precision, and new insights with relationships. Seek transformation and release. Jupiter has officially landed in his own sign, Sagittarius, for the coming year, however he's still in the gandanta of Mula and in sandhi degrees. This is a delicate time for teachers, healers, therapists and those who share knowledge and wisdom with others. You are going through a deep, inner uprooting. Trust the process and reinvent yourself.

Creative Ritual

Warrior Wisdom: Masking and unmasking the inner warrior.

Part 1

1) Start by standing. Feel your feet firmly connected to the earth and notice the ripple-effect this creates throughout the body. Bring presence to your spine, shoulders, chest. Breathe and note your mental experience as you shift your body into a strong standing pose. Be here for a few minutes.

2) Next, assume a "warrior pose" for yourself. What shape does it have? What body parts are being used? What is your connection to earth? To space? How does this effect your mental/emotional bodies? Hold this for a few minutes and take mental notes. Try another "warrior pose" if you'd like to have a contrasting experience.

3) Write it down. Come to your notebook and write some of your thoughts and experiences down. This is "internal tracking" that will inform your process.

4) Next, create a mask for your warrior.  Come to your drawing pad. Using paint, craypas, or any other medium that inspires you, create an image of your warrior. Spend 20 minutes on this image.

Who is your warrior? What does it offer you? Share with you? Provide you with? How do you feel with this warrior on? What do you do together/not do together? Does your warrior have a name?

Part 2

Let part one digest and integrate. When you feel ready, let Part 2 deepen your process.

1) Unmasking. Beginning with gentle movements that awaken somatic awareness, lie on your back and gently lift the chest with an inhale, relax on the exhale. Repeat several times until you feel the chest opening and the shoulder blades responding.

Next rock the pelvis with gentle tilts coordinating your movements with inhales and exhales. Find a gentle spinal twist and then move into any series of poses that bring more awareness to breath, spine, and grounding. Take a 5-10 min sivasana to close.

2) Create. When your body excavation is complete, come to your drawing pad. With your warrior mask in mind (or nearby), complete a drawing of what is behind the mask- or the unmasking of your warrior. If you could take off this warrior mask, what would you find?

Who is behind the mask? What is there and what does it feel like? What messages does it have for you? If your unmasking could speak, what would it say?

3) Harvest.

What did you harvest from this process? What is the wisdom of your warrior? What is the wisdom of unmasking your warrior? How can you hold both?

I am on a mission to help sensitive women connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!

Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?!
