18k In One Month! 💥

I had my best year financially last year. In over a decade of sharing my gifts and wisdom, last year was by far my best year yet!

I had multiple months where I made between 15k and 18k! I topped six figures yet again.

✨(Yes, this was in a pandemic!!!) ✨

Becoming wildly successful (yes, money is a part of this!!!) does not happen overnight. It requires your declaration, right action, and your willingness to grow.

No one can make you wildly successful, but you. ✨

BUT...

In my personal experience, these are the FOUR things that have determined my success- year after year, month after month- even in a global pandemic.

✨ 1) I have the RIGHT systems in place and I know how to use them properly.

They convert, get results, and make money- consistently. After years of refinement and trial and error, I finally have a solid structure in place that keeps getting better and better.

Your systems will either make or break your business growth.

(If you missed my last 14 Day Dharma Challenge, you won't want to miss the next one!!!)

✨ 2) I ONLY work with amazing women who want results and want to grow.

My clients are women who are already taking action in their lives and showing up for themselves in remarkable ways. The women I work with are ready and willing for growth, success, and making a difference in this world.
These phenomenal women know what they want and they are ready to make it happen!

✨ 3) I SURROUND myself with an incredible team of support.

I regularly am held and witnessed by remarkable healers, therapists, and advisors- in order for physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and financial strength. I know that success does NOT happen alone, in isolation, or without immense holding.

The more lives you want to touch, the bigger support team you will need!

✨ 4) I do my INNER work consistently.

This piece is absolutely non-negotiable for up-leveling and up-grading your dharmic path and soul business.

I am on top of my personal mythology and know my biggest shadows. I show up for myself and I do my grief work consistently. I am willing to face my own darkness, transform it, and make space for the nourishment and abundance I want in my life.

I know that my business is a direct reflection of how I feel about myself, and how I feel in my body.

❤️⚡️

I didn't come into this life for mediocrity. I know I am here to make a difference in this world, and impact the lives of very special women.
I want to share my tools with you and help you strengthen your life and business (from the inside out) so you can get to the next phase of your dharmic path.

Are you ready to upgrade your path and purpose?!

❤️⚡️

The world needs you to share your precious soul gifts- now more than ever!
Your willingness to do your inner work is the game changer- and asking for support with this process is vital.

⚡️

I have seen Self Love and acceptance radically shift my life and my business- while supporting immense creativity and life force energy.
In fact, it's truly what has helped me grow my business to six figures and beyond!

⚡️Does your business feel slow to grow?

⚡️Do you question if you’re on the “right” path?

⚡️Are you still not sure what your gifts and wisdom are?

⚡️Do you feel disconnected, uncertain, confused about your purpose in life?

⚡️Do you find yourself constantly doubting yourself and your offerings?

⚡️Do you wish someone could just tell you what your purpose is?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, it’s time to come back to your body and its wisdom.

We all need tools, guidance and support on the dharmic path. We will certainly need resources and help growing our businesses and sharing our offerings.

But if you find yourself constantly seeking answers from outside of your own body, or looking to others for validation and insights, you are actually imbalanced.

Dharma is such an individual process and journey. Your life purpose and the gifts and wisdom you are here to share are unique to you and your ancestors. There’s only one of you!

This is why I encourage you to resource from your own body wisdom and listen to your own inner wisdom. You will find the answers you seek within your own body. Sourcing from your own body is vital for creating a nourishing path!!

Your business will only expand at a rate that feels safe within your body. So honoring your body and its needs becomes nonnegotiable when we want to expand, grow, create, or receive even more nourishment in life.

Look for these signs along the way to determine if you are moving closer to harmony with your path and purpose, or if you are moving away from it.

10 Clues You Are Connected and Aligned With Your Path and Purpose

1) When you listen to your body, your body wisdom says yes.

You feel your whole body light up!

2) The steps you are taking arrive in a way that feels easy and fluid.

You feel ease and gentleness!

3) The support you need, and have asked for, arrives easily and quickly.

You feel supported!

4) The ideas and creativity are flowing and energizing you!

You feel in your creative flow!

5) You ask and receive with clarity, focus, ease, and joy. An alignment with needs and support feels effortless.

You feel aligned!

6) You have enough body energy to create, take action, share and connect. You don’t get drained, you get filled up.

You feel energized and awake!

7) When you share your offerings, you are offering from a place of wholeness. All of your gifts and tools are being shared- not just a few parts or pieces.

You feel wholeness and satisfaction!

8) Your offerings give you a sense of space- in body and life. Space to create, space for expansion, space for nourishment, space for joy.

You feel abundant!

9) There is a clarity, focus, and readiness when you create, share, and connect through your offerings.

You feel clear and focused!

10) You notice constant reminders and mirrors on the path. Reminders that what you know is true, that you are being supported, and your wisdom is real and honored.

You feel seen and heard!

Your body is the tuning fork for your path and purpose.

Pause. Listen. Notice.

What does your body share with you? Do you trust what your body is telling you? Are you honoring the wisdom within?

Let your body guide you on your path and keep listening to your inner wisdom. Take action that is aligned with your body wisdom.

It’s 2021.

Are you missing a strong sense of alignment with your gifts, wisdom and purpose?!

Let’s have a chat. Together we can clarify your needs and next steps- for greater alignment with your body, path, and purpose.

Why Your Pricing Matters + Four Ways to Create Pricing That Feels Good

11/13/2020

Picture
Money is life force energy. It's an exchange of energy between you and your clients or customers. How we use our life force energy matters. Who we share our life force energy with also matters. Your offerings, and the money you receive for them, are a way to be nourished, supported, fulfilled, safe, overflowing.

When we don't price our offerings properly, we can end up malnourished. This malnourishment can show up as burnout, resentment, fatigue, numbing, disappointment, anger, grief, or simply not getting your needs met fully. Money as life force means that we need to honor our money like we do our life force energy, our body and its wisdom. I love money because it's a reflector, a mirror. Your money will always show you exactly how you feel, and the shadow emotions you may not be looking at.

Pause for a moment and think about your offerings. Your goods, services, products, offerings, creations.

How does it feel to share your gifts and wisdom with others? Do you feel like you are being compensated fully? Do you feel ease and joy receiving money for your offerings? Do you feel full and overflowing?

If not, some adjustments need to be made so that your life force is being honored and supported.

Often the biggest AHA I hear from clients comes when we adjust the structure of their offering to honor their body and its needs AND find pricing that both feels good to them and their body. I see far too many women who are unclear on their financial needs, and who undercut their own receiving. This is a very old patriarchal, misogynistic, and colonialistic mindset that keeps women in lack generation after generation. You do not need martyr yourself, over give, starve, or be depleted when sharing your dharmic gifts and wisdom. Your dharma and the money you receive from sharing your gifts, is a source of nourishment, support, creativity, safety, ease. Honoring the wisdom of your body is a powerful way to adjust your pricing and your nourishment.

There is no one size fits all approach to pricing. I often hear business models and business approaches that do not take into consideration the body, its needs, the embodied wisdom you are expressing, nor the legacy you provide. Everyone's needs are different and we should approach pricing in the same way. Making more money does not make you a better person, or more enlightened. Pricing is an individual process that can support your growth, transformation and healing- if used properly. Remember that your pricing should support your overall wholeness and nourishment.

Here are four considerations when pricing your offerings:

- Your Value

The gifts, wisdom and tools you share with the world have required immense time, energy, and willingness on your part. Likely it's taken years for you to have this level of embodied awareness. You've been through so many obstacles, transformations, and overcome so many challenges on your path. The education you've cultivated in your life has come mostly from lived experience. This is part of the value you offer and provide to others.

Also consider how much of your embodied value- your inner knowing and inner wisdom- comes from your ancestors. Without the gifts that they have passed down to you epigenetically, you would have no dharma, no purpose, no unique offering. The ancestors are a vital part of your Value and must be acknowledged as part of the vast awareness you bring to this world. Your pricing should honor the value of your gifts, wisdom, ancestors, and all the learning you've gathered thus far in your life.

Does your current pricing honor your full embodied value? How have your ancestors influenced your gifts, wisdom, and offerings?

- Your Energy

Your energy is your life force. It's your body wisdom and all the power and strength of who you are in this body and life. Your pricing should honor the energy you use with your offerings, as well as the energy required to take care of your body, wisdom and gifts. Your self care and spiritual practices are part of how you maintain your energy and gifts. When you are depleted and burned out, you will have nothing to offer, and no energy to share or connect in meaningful ways.

Your pricing should reflect the time and energy you spend offering your gifts, as well as the time and energy it takes to maintain your body, emotions, mind, and spirit. In other words, your pricing should allow you to attend to your wholeness. Dharma is your wholeness, which means you can not offer from an empty cup and still be nourished. Receiving money for your offerings and gifts is part of your nourishment and supports your wholeness.

Does your current pricing honor your whole body and all its needs? Are you receiving what you need in order to take care of your body, mind, emotions and spirit?

- Your Needs

Yes, your needs are part of your pricing strategy. Honoring what you need to live a comfortable, safe, healthy, and nourishing life is why you make money. Taking into consideration what you need- on all levels of your life- is part of how we create our pricing and dharmic offerings. Your needs must be part of the equation. Everyone has very different needs and so there can't be only one way to price your offerings.

Every woman must know her numbers though. Being able to tangibly clarify what your financial needs are is vital for your pricing. Clarify your monthly expenses and what you need for savings, paying off debts, getting all your basic needs met, getting taxes paid on time. Based on this number, figure out your annual financial goal. Your monthly and annual goals can be used to figure out how many clients, products, packages, etc you need in order to get your needs met.

Most of the women I meet don't know how much money they actually need to make for their needs to be met. Their current pricing doesn't fully support the needs they actually have and they find themselves in lack and ongoing malnourishment. You must know how much you need before we can even address your pricing strategy and growth strategies.

Do you know how much money you actually need to make? Does your current pricing honor all of your needs- including your energy and your body? Do you find yourself underpricing so you can sell more or giving your gifts away for free? Are you afraid to ask for what you really need?

- Your Legacy

Legacy takes into consideration past, present and future. Much of your legacy comes from your ancestors. The majority of the embodied gifts you carry with you are given to you by the ancestors. This is part of who you are and what you offer the world. You've also gathered an immense amount of knowledge and wisdom on your path so far. This is part of your offering as well. The gifts, wisdom, tools, and knowledge you provide will support a ripple effect on this planet.

Think about all the lives you will touch by offering your medicine. Every life you touch will touch countless other lives as well. You are planting seeds that may come into fruition many years to come. You are supporting souls in their growth and transformation process and that will impact their families, children, partners, friends, community and beyond. You are increasing the quality of life for your clients and offering resources that will prevent more struggle, suffering, and pain. How much is this worth- to you, your clients, the world? For the most part, the positive shifts we support our clients with are truly priceless. Considering your legacy impact in your pricing equation, however, must be honored.
Does your current pricing truly honor your legacy and the lasting impact you provide? What is the legacy you want to provide for your clients and the world?

Wondering how Dharmic Mentorship can help you become more nourished, embodied, and whole?

Can You Answer These Five Questions?

Picture
Jyotish is a Sanskrit word that translates as the study of light (Jyoti means light).

Rooted in a tradition that can be traced back thousands of years, Jyotish has a very long history of being a tool of self discovery and awakening.

For thousands of years, Jyotish has been used as a powerful tool for clarifying dharma. The purpose of Jyotish has always been to keep the soul connected to its purpose so it does not lose sight of how to awaken in this lifetime. It's so easy to get lost, distracted, and unclear with so much maya (illusion) in the body. If used properly, Jyotish supports clarity and understanding so the light of the soul can be illuminated.

If You Can Answer These Five Questions,
You Can Clarify Your Dharma.

Do you have an accurate birth time?

An exact birth time is vital for creating an accurate jyotish chart. This means you know the exact timing of your birth, location, and date. Your jyotish chart is a map of the eastern horizon at the time of your birth. This map indicates your souls karma in this lifetime.

Can you identify your rising sign?

Your rising sign, or ascendant, determines the overall structure of your entire birth chart. If you can identify your rising sign, you can clarify the other important parts of the chart. Your ascendant shares a lot about you as a person and how you view the world.

Can you identify the twelve houses of the jyotish chart?

Every house has a very specific meaning and purpose. Each house has a direct connection to your body and life experiences. Knowing the houses and their meanings is vital for unpacking your purpose and path.

Do you know what the twelve signs of the zodiac are?

If you can identify the twelve signs of the zodiac, you can clarify important layers and themes of your jyotish chart. Understanding the signs and where they live in your chart is important when unpacking your houses and planetary expressions.

Can you locate the nine planets in your chart?

The flavors of the planets and where they live in your jyotish chart give a lot of valuable information to you about who you are and how you experience the world. The subtleties and nuances of their placements offer valuable details about your path and purpose in this life time.

Studying your jyotish chart is an essential tool for understanding your dharmic path.

The Wisdom of Rahu and Ketu ~for your Dharmic Path

7/31/2020

The Wisdom of Rahu and Ketu
~for Your Dharmic Path

Whenever the darkness is not integrated and unified with the light, the effects will not be balanced or harmonious. The shadow always seeks the light and the light will always return to darkness. This is a Law of Nature- as they are one and the same.

Ultimately, Rahu can not be denied, nor Ketu- his counterpart in karmic liberation. One's jyotish chart shows where the shadow is seeking light and how it will bring your awakening.

The blessing of your courageous efforts and your willingness, is finding that within the darkest and most disturbing parts of yourself, you will actually find the missing pieces you are desperately longing for; your whole and empowered life. If you are truly willing to courageously look into your own shadows you will undoubtedly find the very gifts you so desperately long to receive. Your shadows in fact hold the gifts you seek for wholeness, for your dharmic giving, your offerings to the world, and for a meaningful life.

This is What your Karma Tells You About Your Dharma

We all have resistance. Finding the resistance within yourself and within your life, will point the way towards your own shadow parts. Remember that the energy you use to resist your own darkness takes incredible energy to maintain, and is a drain to the vital life force energy that could be put to good use elsewhere. Energy you could put into living your one precious life- actualizing your dreams, taking bold, fulfilling action steps!

We each have an attraction and repulsion dynamic within us-
a push and a pull.

What you desperately long for and desire is the core of your shadow work and points the way to all the pieces of your darkness. What you deeply long for is seeking you in other words. And it's hidden beneath your shadows. This shadow, and working with one's darkness in order to awaken, is the juxtaposition of Rahu (shadow) and Ketu (light) in ones Jyotish chart, and why Rahu is both darkness and compulsions, as well as desires and insatiable needs.

Let Rahu drive you towards your own wholeness. Let him show you what you long for, what you need the most in this life, and let him also show you what you are resisting simultaneously.

Wherever Rahu sits in your jyotish chart (the house, the sign, the planets he interacts with, the nakshatra he resides in etc.) points directly to the main theme of your personal life story. Rahu and Ketu are quite literally karma points and they show you why you have incarnated into this body, into this life, and what you are here to learn. The dance of shadow and light, Rahu and Ketu, fully express your ability and your willingness to grow and awaken in this life time. Will you continue to resist your shadows, your darkness (Rahu)? Or will the compulsion to emerge from the illusions be strong enough to force your awakening and crack you open (Ketu)?

Join My Upcoming Jyotish Masterclass

The power within the shadow is two fold. When you resist your darkness, you refuse and resist the healing and the medicine that your life has to offer. You are essentially refusing and resisting awakening to your most essential gifts. These gifts always reveal your dharma, your life purpose, your reason for being alive, and thus there is an immense reward for your efforts- if you choose to take on the task fully.

However, it is not the path of ease, numbness, ignorance and denial. In order to awaken, you must invite in your shadow parts, continue to go deeper into your darkness in unending cycles, to dive for pearls of truth tirelessly- as though your life depends on it. It does.

This is why aligning with one's dharma, one's true reason for being alive, is not for everyone, and is in fact evasive for most people. For those who thrive on transformation though, the gifts are unending and continue to unfold.

The shadows after all, hold your most potent power, and the wisdom you need for your life and your cycles of death and rebirth. The skill then becomes not just the willingness to go into your shadow, your darkness, but to also know when to let go of it, to release and shift into something new.

Some will never walk into their shadows and bravely peel back the layers of their suffering and pain. For those willing to do this courageous work, you must also remember how to come up for air, to take a breath, to dance with both the darkness and the light, to heal and overcome the vow of brokenness, while continuing to bravely dance with your shadows cyclically.

Clients who come to me are walking this fine edge of wanting to awaken; there is a desire to know what their life means and how to overcome their biggest obstacles- and yet simultaneously there is a strong fear to look. This is the attraction/repulsion dynamic at play, a true expression of Rahu driving us towards answers, yet fearful of what we will find once we get there.

Join my August Jyotish Masterclass at 50% OFF

Rahu and Ketu are not planets at all, they are mathematical points on either side of the Moon with rather significant implications on our Self experience.

The Moon is arguably the most influential part of the chart- indicating our experiences within the womb and our relationship with mother, as well as our inner nature.

The Moon is our guide for emotional well being and our connection to our intuitive self. In fact, the Moon is so important to our life experience, the relationship the nodes have with the Moon indicates their impact on our emotional well being- among other things. Rahu and Ketu, the Moon and the rest of the chart, all create our own unique stories, mythologies and individual karmic dramas.

The nodes, as Rahu and Ketu are referred to, are mischievous in nature. They present our karmas to us in this incarnation. Without them, and their very valuable life lessons, we would not have incarnated into a human body. They are essential to this lila, this play of life, that we are involved with in this dimension.

Both Rahu and Ketu have their own unique array of offerings, but because they are shadow "planets" they often evade prediction.

Their nature is to deceive, mystify, to be illusive, and to blind us from our true nature. They represent forces that can't be seen and are the parts of ourselves that go unnoticed and unrecognized. When, and if, the shadow or veil of illusion is removed, and we do see what has been hidden from us, it is often extremely painful.

Rahu and Ketu request that we ask ourselves:
What am I not seeing or what am I not willing to see?
What am I clinging to and unable to let go of?

Studying your jyotish chart is an essential tool for understanding your dharmic path.

HOW PREPARED ARE YOU FOR THIS?!

How Prepared Are You For This?

Just after the May full Moon, an unusual series of retrograde planets kicks off- sparking many months of re-balancing, clean up, intensification, and shadow work.

Two of the most important planets, Saturn and Jupiter, have lengthy retrogrades starting this month- which will bring lasting changes and important insights for life and purpose. Because they are both slow moving, their impact is much more powerful.

Saturn retrogrades for five months in Capricorn, starting on May 10th. He won't go direct until end of September. This is an important time to clean up grief, structure, support, systems, and your dharmic offerings- or career if you are not sharing your dharmic gifts. Saturn doesn't tolerate excess or messiness so clean up the disorder in your life and start simplifying!

Jupiter is currently in Capricorn as well, beginning his retrograde motion on May 13th, returning to his own sign Sagittarius on June 29th. He continues to move in reverse until mid September. Whatever you missed these past months on your dharmic path, Jupiter will be requesting more of your awareness this time around.

This Jupiter retrograde is a vital transit for your path and purpose, for spirituality, and cleaning up impurities in your life. You will need more support, focused guidance, and a very clear intention for this next phase. Don't make the mistake of staying stuck where you are and refusing to take effective action. This transit is asking you to take a different approach in order for very different results. This opportunity won't come again. Jupiter does not tolerate adharma, so notice where he is nudging you to align more fully with your dharmic path.

Venus starts his return process on May 13th, continuing his transit through his own sign, Taurus. He will retrograde until June 25th, offering an unusually lengthy transit through one of his favorite signs. He won't enter Gemini until July 31st.

All retrograde planets are asking us to pay closer attention and attend to parts of ourselves and our lives that are challenged or imbalanced. Venus will be asking you to focus on the material world- finances, nourishment, wealth, speaking, manifesting, bringing desires into form. Relationships, love, and sensuality will request attention as well. What needs to change in order for you to feel more nourished in your life?

Later in June Mercury will retrograde as well. For a short time, four planets will be moving in reverse. Retrograde planets act like the shadow nodes Rahu and Ketu. That means they bring extremes, chaos, distortion, and intensification.

Be mindful that things often have to intensify so we can see them more fully. Wherever we've been ignoring the truth, bypassing or avoiding reality, the intensification can help us re-focus and re-align with more clarity and insight.

Notice where you are receiving a pinch in your life and take effective action. It's an important time to make necessary adjustments, and make new choices that support the outcome you desire. Rarely do we get such a powerful opportunity to clean up all areas of our life simultaneously. Thanks to Saturn, Jupiter, Venus and even Mercury, you will be asked to do many layers of clean up at the same time. Be vigilant!

A Complete Guide to Awakening Your Dharmic Path.

4/21/2019

The Powerful Purpose of Dharma

Dharma is a loaded word. It's a powerful word that expresses the journey of the soul moving closer to enlightenment. This is a process of growth, transformation, healing, discovery, awakening and deeper self trust. It is a journey of discovering truth- within your self and your body.

The path of Dharma is unique for everyone. No one has the same path, just as no one has the same thumb print. Growing in dharma requires that you honor your gifts, purpose, passions and the special soul offering that you came to this world to share.

Yes, the power of your dharma has the ability to move you closer to enlightenment, but it also requires your willingness, courage and desire; sadly, not everyone has this. Everyone has special dharmic gifts they are here to awaken and share, yet not everyone will do what is required to share them in this world and grow as a result.

Some individuals also have the ability to share their dharmic gifts through a dharmic business, making money in the process. The ability to thrive on a worldly and material level through dharma is not for everyone, however, for those that have the karma to support this, there is an opportunity for nourishment from all sides.

Sharing your dharmic gifts in this world has the ability to deepen your sense of nourishment, vitality, insight, wisdom and power. Dharma is an offering to the world from your soul. This offering inspires others, and in turn, inspires you. The feeling of being aligned with dharma is deeply nourishing. Dharma implies a reciprocity between you and the world. What feeds you, feeds others, which feeds your soul even more.

Dharma is not a career. In fact, these are two vastly different paths with entirely different purposes. Career is seen from the tenth house of the jyotish chart, while Dharma is seen from the ninth house. Dharma has spiritual implications and supports the awakening of the soul. Career is likely more about making money and doing what is necessary to survive in this world. A select few are able to do both. Some of us are actually able to use our Dharmic gifts, our soul purpose, as a means to make money, be visible in this world, and help others do the same. (These special souls are the clients I work with).

Everyone has a dharmic path, a unique journey that supports their awakening, healing and transformation, yet very few people even know this is possible. Very few people even know they have a dharmic path, let alone how to awaken it. Why is that?

Thousands and thousands of years ago, there was a time period in the Vedic Calendar known as Sat Yuga, the time of purity. Dharma was the norm and everyone was guaranteed a clear dharmic path, support for their journey, and resources to help them stay on path. All parts of society were aligned with dharma, which helped dharma to stay intact for individuals and families for centuries.

Fast forward to Kali Yuga, a 432,000 year time period of adharma, when finding dharma is close to impossible. This is the time we are currently living in, according to the Vedic Calendar. Very few people will be born with the desire to awaken their dharmic gifts, and even fewer will know what dharma is. It is a time period known to cause suffering, struggle and a loss of connection with one's purpose. Becoming enlightened, awakening from the slumber of adharma, is very rare. This disconnection with the purpose of the soul is the root cause of the immense suffering of our time. Without purpose, without a connection to your soul's mission, life loses meaning and deep sadness, hopelessness and pain is inevitable.

Those who are born desiring dharma are actually quite special. We are the torch carriers. The unique individuals alive to keep the flame of dharma alive during this time of darkness. We are insuring that dharma is not completely lost. This is one of the main reasons I am so immensely passionate about what I do and why I am committed to my own dharmic path. As the Embodied Dharma Coach, I support my sensitive, gifted clients in staying aligned, connected and committed to their souls mission- even when it feels extremely challenging and uncertain. I believe this is needed now more than ever.

What Happens When We Lose Our Dharmic Path?

There are so many reasons why losing Dharma is painful. Remember, dharma implies you are connected to your inner light, wisdom and truth. Dharma is alignment with your unique insight, your special gifts, the power of your soul. When you disconnect from the truth of your own soul, it causes immense suffering. This is in fact, the root of all suffering in our society. Without purpose, there is no direction, no hope, no focus for humanity. When you lose hope, darkness increases, you give up, life feels meaningless.

Self trust is a requirement for awakening your gifts and sharing your wisdom in this world. Without it, you will not trust your path or your purpose. Self doubt and the inner critic are two ways that your dharmic gifts get blocked, sabotaged or even destroyed. Lack of clarity, direction or focus are all clear indications that you are stuck in self doubt and your critic is keeping you from moving forward.

If you have self doubt or a strong inner critic, you might notice these stories showing up:

My gifts aren't special enough.

I don't know what I'm doing yet.

Other people do this better.

I don't even know what my gifts are.

I doubt that I have anything special to offer.

I need more training or education before I will be good enough.

Without self trust, you will never feel safe enough to share your gifts in this world. Self doubt is the biggest obstacle to awakening your gifts and will keep you stuck in patterns, behaviors and choices that lead to adharma.

There are only two reasons why people avoid, neglect, destroy or abandon their dharmic path. Fear and lack of guidance keep the dharmic path at a distance, further and further out of reach. When you let the fear win, and you don't seek resources, support and guidance for awakening your dharmic path, it will never actualize.

In this time of Kali Yuga, working consciously with the fear, doubt and uncertainty is vital for honing the dharmic path. One of the best ways to do this is having specific dharmic support from a vast support team- mentors, guides, teachers, healers, therapists, and coaches. Without ongoing, crucial reminders and guidance for your path, the flame will be lost and the necessary support will not be present to keep you going- especially when challenges show up.

Dharma take immense courage and desire. You must be willing to face your fears, your shadows, doubts and resistance in order to keep walking your path. This is one of the reasons I see people give up, turn their backs, and resist the messages and wisdom that are coming from within them. Resisting, avoiding and negating your inner wisdom has dire consequences. Most people have been resisting their inner wisdom, special gifts and unique souls purpose all their lives. The body has been whispering for years, but they don't hear it. They don't even have the right tools to listen.

The body is very wise and it is constantly trying to help you align with your inner truth and wisdom. When you don't listen to the whispers, it starts to speak louder. If you continue to neglect its messages, it will start to yell. It will yell as loud as it needs to in order for you to pay attention. By the time the body is yelling at you, there is already so much pain, suffering and challenge present, that you will be forced to make changes and listen to your body.

When a sensitive woman resists her dharmic gifts, there are dire consequences for her- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Often your body has been trying to tell you for years that you need to align with your gifts and purpose, but most women don't have the tools necessary to hear what their body is saying. When you resist your inner wisdom, your truth, the body will start by whispering, then speaking louder, and finally shouting, until it gets your attention.

Physically, you may have health challenges- as parts of your body start shouting louder and louder at you. The body part or body challenge you have is specific to the dharmic need arriving. Pay attention to the messages showing up and ask your body to share its wisdom with you. There are clues about your dharmic path in the body challenge arriving.  The body is very wise and wants you to thrive!

Emotionally, you may feel depressed, frustrated, lonely, isolated, malnourished, lack joy and even feel hopeless- all because you aren't using your precious gifts. Often undigested grief, loss and trauma is at the root of your emotional disconnection. Without honor the losses and trauma of your past, you will never be able to fully connect with your dharmic path. You must make space for the new nourishment.

Mentally, you may feel drained, overwhelmed, burned out, scattered, stressed and lack enthusiasm for your life. These are clear signs you are not living your passion and purpose. I have seen women consistently create adharma by unconsciously making choices that keep them unclear, stuck and unfocused. Putting energy into the wrong things at the wrong time is a recipe for adharma. Self sabotage (fear) will keep you from your dharmic path for lifetimes.

I often see woman having a spiritual crisis when they are not aligned with their dharmic path. Painful losses, the death of a loved one, traumatic experiences and sudden changes can disrupt your trust in yourself and Spirit. When you experience extreme challenges, it can have dire consequences for your dharmic path. When life loses all meaning because there is such a void and disconnect from Spirit, this is a clear indication of adharma. The challenges arriving on your path, however, are important for strengthening the path, your purpose and your self trust. Without support, guidance and wisdom, you will continue to mistrust your self and the messages that Spirit is sharing with you.

Being disconnected from your dharmic path as a sensitive woman is problematic on so many different levels, and it is also very costly.

Without dharma, you will spend years trying to fix parts of yourself- without fully understanding the real underlying issues. You will never ever really get to the root of your problems. Your sadness is not just sadness. Your disappointment is not just disappointment. Your loneliness is not just loneliness. These are all symptoms of your disconnection- from your body wisdom, your gifts and your powerful soul purpose.

The cost of being disconnected from your dharmic path is immense!
Think about all the years you've been lost, unclear, unfocused, uncertain about your path and purpose. How much is this costing you? Physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually- and financially?

This is Why Dharma is Not For Everyone

Even though everyone has a unique dharmic path and special gifts their soul is on earth to share, this does not mean everyone will choose to use their gifts. The saddest thing I encounter as a Dharma Coach is watching people turn their backs on their own inner wisdom, neglect their gifts, refuse to make the necessary life changes that their Dharma is asking them to make, or resist the necessary guidance and support for dharma to blossom. When someone refuses to face their own fear and shadow, dharma can not fully awaken.

The first requirement for aligning with your dharmic path is- a willingness to face your fear. This weeds people out almost immediately. Rather than moving closer to their fears, doubts and uncertainties, most people resist them. They shut the door. They turn around. They don't even look. This is the number one reason I see women fail to awaken their gifts. They let their fears stop them. Dharma requires that you are willing to face your fear. Again and again and again. It takes courage, determination and honesty. It takes a strong desire to live your purpose- to keep showing up for your passions and gifts.

The second reason people never share their dharmic gifts is they try to do it alone. They don't ask for the right resources, guidance or support. Most people who fail are resisting the necessary guidance required for deepening self trust, honing their gifts and sharing their offering. This is the recipe for staying stuck- for the rest of your life. The truth is, we can never, ever succeed alone. We must have the right resources, guidance and support in order to stay focused, connected and aligned with our dharmic path, our life purpose. The dharmic path is a process, an unfolding, a deepening of your self trust, inner wisdom and unique gifts. Everyone has a unique dharma, but not everyone will do what it takes to make it happen.

Everyone says they want dharma, but sadly not everyone is willing to do what it takes to make it happen.

How to tell if you are ready to live your dharmic path and share your gifts in this world...

  • Dharma is NOT a career. There's a huge difference.

  • Dharma means living your purpose, sharing your unique gifts and wisdom in this world.

  • Dharma means that your offering won't look like anyone else's. There's no one else like you!

  • When you share your dharma in the world, it takes courage and commitment. It requires self trust and guidance. You must have a connection to your inner wisdom and truth.

  • The most important thing is that dharma requires you to face your fear- regularly. You must be willing to face your fear and not let it stop you.

  • Dharma is not for everyone. Because it requires willingness and a strong desire.

When your voice isn't heard, when your gifts are never shared, when your power is never fully activated....what happens to your soul?

What happens when your dharmic gifts are never offered to this world? When it is never fully awakened within you? When you refuse to change, heal and transform, so that you can rise and shine and fully awaken? When you never even step onto your dharmic path?!

This is called Adharma (that which is against dharma). It is the root cause of all suffering in this world. It is pain that is self-induced. Don't neglect your path. Don't avoid your inner wisdom. Don't negate your power, purpose and passion.

The world needs you now more than ever. Remember, when you have the courage to shine brighter, share your gifts, and align with your dharmic path, it benefits others. This is how we change the planet- by all of us awakening our souls purpose and reminding others to do the same.

Rahu in Gemini & Ketu in Sagittarius: Spiritual Awakening and Creative Awareness + Horoscopes

3/4/2019

Picture

On March 7th 2019, our karmas shift. Rahu moves to creative, airy Gemini and Ketu shifts to Sagittarius, joining Saturn in this spiritual, fire sign. This 1.5 year transit will last until September 23rd, 2020. During this transit, both planets will move through mulitrikona degrees, then into exaltation, creating even more intensified results with our shadows.

Why We Need the Shadow. Read more about the powerful impact of Rahu and Ketu.

Ketu in Sagittarius:

The combination of Ketu and Saturn in Sagittarius will make for a bumpy ride during 2019- as old grief is cleared, dismembered and released. Sagittarius is a highly spiritual fire sign. It aims high, but rarely hits the target because of hesitation to pick a direction. When focused and determined, Sagittarius creates pure, spiritual desire that can lead to alignment with dharma, inner growth and right action. A new sense of space and awareness is being created within you and your life during this transit- unlike anything you've experienced before.

In the months ahead, it's important to ask yourself:

What am I making space for? How do I want to use this space? How can I simplify my life even more? What past trauma needs my attention?

Saturn is the planet of grief. He is heavy, slow and old. He will show you where undigested grief is living within your life and body. This old, cold and heavy planet represents established, traditional structures, as well as progress that comes through slow and steady steps. His transits take 2.5 years in length, the longest of all the planets.

Read more about Saturn's transit through Sagittarius.

Ketu is a planet that changes in the blink of an eye, like a flash of lightening. The contradictory nature of Saturn and Ketu will cause challenges with speed, focus, and outcomes, while creating sudden, lasting impact. Perhaps the positive experience with these two planets is that both can offer very spiritual awareness and support awakenings in various forms.

Trauma, sudden loss and terror come with Ketu. The coming transit may force us to revisit past traumas or losses. Use this time to stay as close to the body as possible and keep life simple and slow. Gather resources, support and guidance to help heal and re-pattern old traumas.

Saturn's enlightenment comes through years of consistent action and putting in a great deal of effort. He polishes the lump of coal through constant heat and pressure, eventually revealing the diamond. Ketu, however, serves his Moksha suddenly- through flashes of insight, shocking revelations, and instant shifts in awareness. He can bring trauma and sudden loss with him as he sheds layers of illusion.

Though the intention of both planets is transformation and awakening, they go about it in totally different ways. When their differences collide, it may be challenging to stay grounded and connected to the body.

The house that Sagittarius occupies in your jyotish chart will show the area of your life that will be impacted by this incompatible relationship. What themes are present?

Ketu in UttaraAshada: March 7th to May 9th, 2019

Ketu transits UttaraAshada Nakshatra until May 9th, 2019. Use this time to sever, clear, and release past habits, behaviors and identities. The harder you cling, the more struggle you will experience. Less is more. Let go and hand whatever you can over to Spirit. Honor and acknowledge traumas and triggers surfacing. Your ego identity going through a massive upgrade. The more you can accept and release, the easier this process will be. Align with integrity and right action as much as possible. Don't lose sight of your goals and direction.

Ketu in PurvaAshada: May 9th, 2019 to January 15th, 2020

Once Ketu arrives in the 2nd constellation of Sagittarius, he moves into exact conjunction with Saturn. This triggers a powerful release process that will result in sudden changes. The tight Saturn/Ketu conjunction will force release of old, outworn patterns and behaviors. Relationships will change and shift in unpredictable ways. Your physical body will require your attention right now. Notice the urge to force and push for results. Where can you slow down and let go even more? You are in a powerful purification process. Support the clearing taking place physically and spiritually. Don't get lazy.

Ketu in Mula Nakshatra: January 15th, 2020 to September 23rd, 2020

As Ketu moves to Mula nakshatra, the entire world will feel a deep uprooting taking place. It's important to understand that everyone on the planet will simultaneously be experiencing the instability of this transit. None of us will come out of this cycle the same person. Mula is considered a gandanta, notorious for pulling up the weeds within the psycho-emotional body levels of our being. The dark goddess, Nirrti, rules this constellation- often causing havoc, chaos and choices that lead to adharma. This is a time period that will provide immense, radical clearing in very unpredictable ways. The planet as a whole may feel very unstable as a result. The best use of your energy is to stay close to your dharmic path and do not get derailed. Slow down even more. Don't take unnecessary risks and focus on staying close to the body. Gather even more support than you think you need. You will need it.

Read more about the impact of the dark goddess and Mula nakshatra.

Rahu in Gemini

Rahu in Gemini will create forceful shifts and strong, unpredictable movement. This transit also brings stormy energy and powerful currents, making sweeping, sudden changes. As the shadow of desire, Rahu intensifies whatever he comes into contact with. Desires may become irrational and inflated, as well as overly materialistic. However, this is also an important creative transit that can lead to new ideas, innovations, and immense worldly success.

Creativity and the imagination will be wild and untamed. Imagination can be used as a powerful boon or a dangerous dragon of illusion. The mind will need you to keep it tame. Remember that the mental body is the imaginal. Don't believe everything you think.

The wild imagination emerging can be put to good use if you are an artist, musician, writer, dancer or entrepreneur. Money, commerce and communications may expand and grow quickly, but will likely experience loss and change just as suddenly. Nothing about Rahu is predictable- so never expect his results to last or endure. Do not put all your eggs in one basket and don't count your chickens before they hatch. If he gives you gains, change this into a new form so that you are able to keep it. Don't let your greed get in the way of common sense and rational behavior.

Mind the mind in this cycle. Take time for meditation, pranayama, and yoga. Spend extra time in Nature, walk barefoot and hug trees. Stay grounded and commune with Spirit. Eat more greens, clean up your diet and routine. Get creative and try new things. This is a great cycle to learn a new creative skill or upgrade your passions and talents. Focus on upgrading your communication skills and be sure you are speaking clearly. Put everything in writing and don't make assumptions. Intuition may be stronger than normal, but not everyone can read your mind.

Gemini brings the arrival of the third, transformation and transcendent. From the churning and storms, the amrita arrives. Through the creative process, awareness and understanding emerges. The symbol of Gemini, from a Jaimini perspective, is the two lovers. Their union creates a third energy, a powerful expression of love. Rahu may inflate the desire to create, procreate, and fall in love. Don't rush, slow down, and don't get lost in just the idea of love. Make sure there's actually something solid behind the vision. Something new is being created right now and it may not happen exactly how you think it should. Trust the process of what is being created. This will require your deep surrender.

Look at your jyotish chart and notice where Gemini lives. The house that Gemini occupies will show you the themes activated through this transit. What do you notice?

Rahu in Punarvasu: March 7th, 2019 to September 11th, 2019

This is an important time to seek more guidance and support, but you will also be asked to look at your own shadows and illusions even closer. Are you willing to dig deeper? Don't fall for false gurus or materialistic approaches to spirituality. Upgrade your creative resources and try something new. Take a new class, gather new wisdom, and expand what you believe is possible for yourself. Find the wholeness, and be open to receive more nourishment from all sources. Ask for what you need and open up to the abundance of life. Clear the blockages keeping you from receiving- especially on the mental body level.

Rahu in Ardra: September 11th, 2019 to May 20th, 2020

When Rahu moves to Ardra nakshatra, storm god, Rudra, takes center stage. His powerful energy increases exponentially with the magnification of Rahu. Big waves are likely- physically, materially and within Nature. Sudden, unpredictable surges of power will occur. Be very mindful how you use this big energy or the storms will swallow you up. This is a time period to be very diligent with staying grounded. Stay on top of the mind and don't let the imaginal realms pull you off path. Strengthen your roots so the storms don't destabilize you. Emotions will be strong, overpowering and challenging at times. Are you in right relationship with your emotional body waves, or are you getting lost in the depths of the ocean? Be careful with yourself and others. Challenging people may surface just to test your strength. Diligence with your shadow work is non-negotiable right now. Take responsibility for your own triggers and feelings. Gather even more resources and support to help you navigate the choppy waters.

Rahu in Mrigashirsha: May 20th, 2020 to September 23rd, 2020

As this powerful transit of the shadows comes to a close, Rahu moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra. This is a constellation of Soma, the immortal nectar of life. It has an important lunar quality that brings pure nourishment, growth and branching out in new directions. The shadow side of this portion of the sky is erratic behaviors and choices, as well as excess movement. It can be highly ungrounded and lose too much life force energy from over-activity. At the same time, Ketu will be in Mula nakshatra- another highly ungrounded portion of the sky. Changes will be taking place at immense speed during the final months of this transit. Simplifying life on every level may be the only way to stay sane.

Rahu in Mrigashirsha could amplify desires for growth and expansion- both positively and negatively. Tame the beast of cravings and get back to the basics. Some movement is good, but get honest about how you are using your energy. Plug the leaks and notice where you are frittering away your life force energy. Take a good look at over-indulgance and clean up your diet and routine. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Take risks with immense caution.

Horoscopes for Your Shadow Work ~
March 2019 to September 2020

These Horoscopes will give you general themes for the year to come based on your rising sign.
Horoscopes are based on your sidereal, or Jyotish rising sign, not your Western or Tropical sign. There is likely no correlation. You may also use with your sidereal Moon or Sun sign for extra insight.

Aries: Your life path and purpose is shifting. You're being forced to simplify how you interact in this world. Clarity and space come through letting go of old, heavy burdens that you've been carrying far too long. This requires immense courage and resourcefulness to transform and release. Are you up to the challenge? You need even more support right now- more than you think you do. Ask for help- in all areas of your life. This is not a time to drop your guard or get too cocky. Use your hands in new ways and clean up your life. Relationships and self development need your focus. Clean up your diet and make space for what you truly want. Work on stabilizing your self through your legs. Create something new with your arms and hands.

Taurus: Relationships require even more focus, resources and guidance right now. It's your shadow that is getting in the way of your receptivity. Attend directly to past trauma and old karma keeping you stuck in vulnerability and safety issues. Changes with heart and home are inevitable, while career and offering will require more focused attention. You may be very unclear, but move methodically in the direction of your goals anyway. Put more focus on your speech, nourishment, money and healing process. Attend to losses, release, and letting go. Ask for more help than you think you need and do not take risks at this time. Lighten your load and release the burdens that have been holding you back from the progress you want and deserve. This will require an upgrade so be sure to gather the guidance and resources you need to make it happen.

Gemini: You and your life are in for some major re-structuring in the months ahead. You will become more visible and have more desire for worldly success. Don't run away with yourself or get lost in your immense worldly desires. Work with power issues and path diligently. Strengthen your support team even more and gather new resources to support your awakening. Relationships bring sudden loss and changes. Work on safety and support issues. Avoid putting yourself in risky situations or relationships. Give yourself a spiritual tap root and gather even more guidance, resources, wisdom and therapeutic support for your journey. Surround yourself with more spiritual people. Remember who you are and what you stand for. Don't get side-tracked by flashy objects or ideas. Heal the trauma around instability that is keeping you and your life stuck.

Cancer: Your relationship with power is getting your focus and demanding attention. A healing process is taking place as you face truths, conflicts and needs directly. No more hiding from your self! No more avoiding your needs! No more passive/aggressive behavior! Get congruent! Where do you need to realign and refocus so you are in right relationship with your authentic voice? You're about to get cracked open and forced to be even more straight forward with yourself and others. Loss, release and letting go are inevitable in the months ahead. Become a better money manager and take care of your animals. You need to re-assess your shadow work and make sure you are truly digging deeply. It's time do digest some very old emotions- so work on your gut health to help you with this. Go beyond the surface. Let your emotions guide you. Ask you ancestors for help with this.

Leo: Heart and home continue to expand, while children, power and gut intelligence demand your focus. There is a certain vulnerability in these areas of your life so pay close attention and don't drop your guard. Clean and clear trauma with your power and awaken the wisdom in your gut. A clearing is taking place in your solar plexus. Who are you with even more access to your power? Who do you want to become? You and your dharmic path are getting even more insights. Are you ready for the light? Gains come when you make space for them so be conscious about what you are attracting- especially with relationships. Use courage and creativity in new ways. Write more and find new channels of self expression.

Virgo: Keep growing in your courage. Focus on learning and expanding your creativity, courage and self expression. Home, heart, land and mother are highly unstable in this cycle. Stability is a strong desire in the months ahead, but will likely be evasive. Open your heart and attend to the trauma surfacing. Wounds with mother, home and ancestors need your attention. The emotional body is clearing old, undigested grief and requesting you to get even more honest about your feelings. Where are you hiding from yourself? Get clear and be congruent. Avoiding conflict will not make it go away. Your worldly desires may be increasing so don't lose sight of reality. Try to clarify your direction. Find more purpose and meaning beyond worldly desires. Remember that money won't make you happy in the long run- it's just masking some deeper needs for safety and stability. Find solid ground within.

Libra: Nourishment and wealth continue to expand, however, issues with  authority figures and your relationship with power could prove problematic in the months ahead. Diligence with your ego and addressing power issues become non-negotiable. Find trust worthy support and guidance to help you navigate the murky waters. Awaken your courage and clean up your actions and choices. Be careful with your hands and use your creativity- even if it feels burdensome. Relationships are prone to sudden loss and endings as well as new clarity and insights. Who and what are you truly making space for? Now is a good time to move closer to dharma- even though it might feel daunting and unclear. Putting your attention on a higher purpose will serve you well. Gather support for your path that feels aligned with your spiritual and personal needs.

Scorpio: You are still in a powerful and important growth phase. Keep going! Money, nourishment, speech, and voice need your focus. Trauma and grief resurface with your voice, mouth and money. Pay attention to the deeper messages surfacing. Keep life simple (simpler than you think you need to) and clean up your diet. Focus on being a good money manager. Clean up the excess and plug the leaks. This is not a time for excess or extravagance. Don't get lazy. There is a certain vulnerability with this cycle so do not take risks or put yourself in dangerous situations- physically, sexually or financially. This is a very powerful time for deep shadow work. Clear away the heaviness you've been carrying unconsciously. How can you lighten your load even more? What stories are keeping you stuck? It's time for a total life upgrade. Be brave and don't be afraid of your darkness. You are transforming in life changing ways and you won't be the same person after this transit. Trust the journey and don't look back.

Sagittarius: This cycle is a total make-over in all areas of your life! You are getting cracked wide open. This is an immensely spiritual time, and also very vulnerable. Watch your head and avoid dangerous or risky situations. Do not put your body in compromising situations. Less is more in the months ahead. Simplify and clear all areas of your life. Slow down- even more than you think you should. Support the release of undigested grief and put more focus on relationships. People in your life will be demanding more of your attention and it may feel draining. Get more resources and support for your relationships. Ask spirit and the ancestors for even more help right now. Seek solitude, alone time and extra rest. You are in a powerful metamorphosis. Trust yourself to become the butterfly, but don't try to re-birth alone. The need for support and resources is even more important right now and will make the change process smoother.

Capricorn: Gains continue to arrive as you make the space for more receiving. Loss, letting go and endings are inevitable in the months ahead. What parts of your self are you leaving behind? What parts of yourself are regenerating and regrowing? Ask the ancestors to support you in this process of cut, clear, delete in all areas of your life. Limitations may be felt with finances so clean up your relationship with money and upgrade your money management skills. Be clear with all forms of nourishment. You may have trouble being direct and focused in the months ahead. Try to be congruent in order to avoid conflicts. Where are you not being clear? Where are you avoiding important conversations? Think bigger and share your gifts in new ways, but keep it simple. You are learning how to let go even more. Clarify what you need for stability and support. Growth will come next, but not without making space for what you truly want and need. Take more care of your gut intelligence and your animals.

Aquarius: Putting attention on your offering is worth your time and energy. It's time to expand in new ways. More gains are coming, but you must make room for what's arriving. What are you willing to let go of- in order to have space for what you truly want and need? Attend to power issues and gut intelligence. The shadow in your upper gut is creating constipation and power issues. Clear up what is keeping you stuck and work diligently with digestion. Pay attention to your children and your dharma as these areas of your life will be demanding attention. Self, path, purpose and visibility are asking you to clarify and upgrade. Get creative, use your hands in new ways, and attend to relationship losses. You are getting clearer on what you need right now- especially with friendships, siblings and your own path. It's ok to let go of what is not yours to carry. Lighten your load and allow more playfulness.

Pisces: Keep focusing on your dharma and gather the resources, support and guidance you need for a total path upgrade. Your offering and carer are going through immense shifts and changes. You need to share yourself in an entirely different way  moving forward. Get out of your own way and keep it simple. Clean up and clarify diet, speech, money and conflicts. Watch out for your knees and try to stay flexible. Get more congruent with your desires and your actions. Do what you say and keep moving towards your goals with conscious, determined choices. Focus more on home, heart, mother and land. The emotional body requires your diligent efforts in order to clear away the masks and illusions. Address your shadow and support the release process taking place. Ask your ancestors for more guidance and resource.

Ask for the help you need- in order to truly transform your life!

The Sensitive Soul Survival Guide- for Work

A Self Care Survival Guide for Sensitive People in Work Environments:

My struggles with sensitivity have effected my ability to work. How I work, who I work with, and what I can do for work. It has felt limiting to say the least.

I've had to learn- step by step- how to work with my sensitivity, not against it. How to nurture it, value it, and ultimately treasure it- even when it's a challenge and feels like it's holding me back. I'm different, I work differently, and as a result, my work is different than the rest of the world. I now understand this is something to celebrate!

If you've been following my recent posts about being highly sensitive, you know that I'm passionate about offering you resources for taking care of yourself, working with your sensitivity, not against it, and realizing the gift that is your sensitivity. I believe that your sensitivity will lead you to your gifts, your dharmic purpose- but I'll be sharing more about that in the coming days.

You already know that you have to treat yourself differently than the majority of the population. You have to eat differently, rest more, take care of your body more consciously. You probably already know that you need more alone time and that you may get frazzled more easily than others. These are very important considerations to be aware of for your daily life, but also for your work situations.

My Survival Guide is below- a short list for self care in work environments, essentially.

Here's how to thrive at work when you're extra sensitive:

1. Healthy Boundaries: If you're familiar with my work at all, you know that I speak about healthy boundaries rigorously. Healthy boundaries are different for everyone. But for sensitive types, boundaries are even more vital for well being. Boundaries keep in what nourishes, and keep out what is harmful and draining. Boundaries are a constant dance; I consider boundary work an ongoing process. But as we become more aware of our personal needs, what nourishes and what does not, boundaries become clearer and more accessible. The first step for healthy boundaries is the 3 Level Check In. It's an ideal tool for helping you clearly identify what is happening within your body, mind and emotions. You can't know what you need until you have a relationship with the felt senses.

2. Trust your differences: You are one of the "gifted and talented" as I call us. A select group of individuals who has high sensitivity, who require extra TLC, yet we are likely gifted with immense depth, awareness and experiences that might as well be an honorary title. Just because our culture doesn't honor sensitivity as a trait worth having, or a trait that is valued in our fast paced aggressive culture, doesn't mean that you aren't a valuable asset to your world, to your team, to your company or business. Play up your differences and start to honor them as the brilliance that makes you special.

3. Take Ample Pauses: Whether it's a fresh air break or a pause to breathe from your desk on the hour, it's vital that you step away, pause, or get up and move consistently and regularly. I suggest hourly pauses. Use the restroom, walk to a window, get some water. Get up from your chair, away from your computer, change your task. When you return, a fresh perspective, a new clarity, will be available to you. Make sure breath awareness is part of this "pause" and maybe a 3 Level Check In for extra good measure!

4. Take Alone Time: Though many sensitive types are extroverted by nature, the grande majority of us tend towards introversion- or at least we require
longer bouts of alone time. Honor this and do as many projects alone as you can. If you have to do group work, see if tasks can be broken into individual projects that can be tackled away from the group. If your work requires constant socialization, take breaks as much as possible.

Create a ritual in order to check in with yourself. I often go to the restroom for a moment of quiet and alone. Washing hands can be another ritual that can help you re-center. The water clears energy and if you've been touching a lot of people with your hands, a little soap and water can feel re-energizing. Make sure your schedule includes solid days where you can be quiet and inward- especially if the majority of your work requires a lot of external focus and extroversion. You need these days to recharge. Take them.

5. Do What You Love: This is especially important if you are not working in an environment or a job that fulfills you. It is essential to use all your spare time doing activities that bring you joy, recharge your batteries and inspire you. Get creative  at home or perhaps take a new workshop. Walk in the woods, write poetry, dance, draw, journal, play with your animal companions, cook nourishing foods, do yoga. Whatever it is, fill your non-work moments with these types of self care joy! You not only deserve it, you require it for your well being. Consider this to be your part time job- or full time job! Do what you love, your life depends on it!

6. Less is More: If over-stimulation is an issue for you, then you will especially want to pay attention to keeping life, activities and relationships as under-stimulating as possible. Instead of thinking that there's something wrong with your life because it's not big, exciting and always moving, consider your needs for comfort, safety and security as your number one priority. Less can be more for highly sensitive types. We tend to need much less stimulation for our well being and need to keep our lives simple, as well as our relationships, in order to increase a sense of security and nourishment. Are you piling your plate too high and forcing yourself to comply? Only do the essentials in each day, then let self care be your number one priority.

7. Quality Not Quantity: Humans are communal creatures. And even though as a sensitive type, we tend to need  more alone time, we still need quality connection to be healthy and well rounded. The type and quantity of connection we need will vary from person to person, but I suggest adding quality and meaningful connection to your self care regimen. Stay out of frivolity in your relationships- both personal and professional. Gossip and talking about people will not be fulfilling, it will be a drain of energy in the long run. Find people that you can talk about ideas and dreams with. If they can converse on those levels, they're likely worth keeping around. If the group dynamics at work seem to always fall into petty surface chit chat, be the one who provokes more intelligent conversation. Speak about books, movies, culture, activities and projects you are working on etc. Be the uplifter and keep it positive.

8. Do the Obvious: Make sure you are eating well and eat your meals at regular times. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch should be your main meal of the day, so make it count and have it be relaxed. Keep a good schedule- one that is more in tune with Nature. Get plenty of sleep- 8 hours is ideal, but some sensitive types actually need more. Exercise daily. Move your body, move your breath, every day! Life will improve with this one tip alone! Have you had a massage lately? An acupuncture tune up? Seen your chiropractor? Consulted with an Ayurvedic doctor? Call in support when you need some extra TLC.

9. Don't Take It On: This is another boundary reminder. Don't take on what is not yours. Don't be a therapist, coach, parent, healer or self help guru for anyone and everyone. Don't try to fix others or be the savior. Don't even think about fixing others. It's not your job (unless it is your job, and then it's only your job during certain hours of the day. And healthy boundaries will be extra important for you!) Let go of any attachments you have to "make others feel better". They are right where they are, just like you are right where you are. Your sensitivity doesn't need to be 24/7 empathy. Learn to create healthy energetic boundaries and tend to you own needs. This is ultimately the most compassionate use of your energy.

10. Contain Yourself: Since sensitive types tend to feel more, we tend to have more to feel, and deeper experiences as a result. This can mean that we are more expressive, or less expressive (we bottle it up inside). There's a risk of sharing too much, too little, or sharing our feelings inappropriately. (Displaced aggression? Crying for "no reason"? Withdrawing or self isolating?) This is why we as sensitive types must be working directly with our 3 Levels of Awareness, to navigate what we are feeling and what our needs are. When we can identify our needs, we have a better chance of doing something that will be helpful for ourselves.

We also don't get to take out our sensitivity on others and we need to be able to self care when we are having an extra rough day- which may be more often than others. Make sure you are attending to the previous suggestions especially on these days. And don't forget to communicate with others that you are having is a particularly challenging day. They will likely appreciate the communication more than withdrawal or lack of communication- even if they don't fully understand the reason.

Be sure you have ongoing support for yourself. I suggest a trustworthy therapist, counselor or coach for helping you work through your emotional challenges, getting your needs met in healthy ways and finding new resources for yourself. This relationship can often be the missing level of support in our lives and can take the burden off our other relationships.
