Jupiter Transit Dates: Transits Capricorn November 19th, 2020 to April 5th, 2021 Transits Aquarius April 5th, 2021 and retrogrades back into Capricorn September 14th, 2021 until November 20th, 2021. Jupiter retrograde June 20th, 2021 to October 17th, 2021 Transits Aquarius November 20th, 2021 to April 13th, 2022 An unusual dance of Jupiter begins November 19th, 2020. As he shifts into his debilitation sign, Capricorn, he joins Saturn here. Jupiter transits usually last about one year, but his dance will be a bit of a slide forward and backwards in the months to come. This movement provides a chance to retrace your steps and do some necessary clean up that may have been missed along the way. Saturn is content in his own sign of Capricorn, while Jupiter feels too constricted here. Saturn feels balance and Jupiter feels restraint, yet the two planets actually can provide balance and harmony when they collide. In fact, Jupiter’s expansion and Saturn’s contraction, create alignment with both inner and outer realms. What does balance and harmony feel like in your body? In your life? Saturn is the planet of grief and effort. He can squeeze and cause pressure to Jupiter's expansive ways. A debilitated planet can't offer much outer support as its energy turns inward. This transit can cause challenges with all things Jupiter- so be mindful of what needs are surfacing and what changes and adjustments need to be made on your dharmic path. Jupiter in his sign of debilitation will turn him deeply within, which is not great for worldly, external pursuits. No debilitated planet loves being seen, expressive, bold, or visible because they can only express themselves at 0% capacity. The energy is vulnerable, weak, invisible at times. Yet it can awaken the inner realms in very potent, magical ways. I find debilitated planets to be very spiritual as a result- if we are willing to take a deep dive into our depths. They ask us to move closer to our vulnerabilities, insecurities, and in many ways our shadows. How can that be a bad thing? Capricorn is a hard working sign of effort. Hence, ruling planet and blue collar worker, Saturn, feeling comfortable here. Jupiter, however, has more of a royal expression. He wants ease, comfort, grace, and doesn’t do well with hard work or effort- unless it involves knowledge and wisdom. Are you resisting your visibility in some way? Do you notice yourself holding back or hiding? Challenges With This Transit The mistake that many people will make in this transit is resisting necessary support and guidance. You might also make poor choices with guidance and support, so be mindful that the resources you use check out. Be cautious of fraudulent behavior or people who misrepresent themselves. Don’t push away support that has been helpful, just because you think “I can do it alone”. Debilitated Jupiter often causes people to derail their progress or move into patterns of adharma because they are not listening to their inner wisdom or facing their fear fully. Poor judgement and missed opportunities are likely in this transit if you are not honoring your body, its needs, and your dharmic path. You will need a solid team of support in place for this transit. This is nonnegotiable! Wherever you lack proper holding and guidance, or you are missing support, the hole will become more obvious at this time. More support is better in this cycle, not less. Be careful of falling into old sabotage behaviors or getting lazy. Debilitated Jupiter can’t offer much support, so it will require diligence with your dharma, your inner wisdom, and the guidance that you offer others. If you are a teacher, wisdom worker, or someone who shares knowledge and wisdom as your purpose, this transit will require extra resilience, focus, restructuring and intention. You may lose sight of your goals, desires, clarity or focus. You may feel disheartened, burned out, overburdened. All the more reason to have the right people around you to help you remember your strengths, direction, and truth. Jupiter will be vulnerable and weak in this transit for many. Get extra rest, attend to your inner needs, and listen carefully to your body wisdom. Make meditation, time in Nature, and simplicity a top priority. If you are willing to dive deeply, you will find some very potent wisdom within. Resisting your inner wisdom and deepest needs, however, will cause unnecessary suffering and grief. Look to see where Capricorn lives in your jyotish chart. The theme of this house will provide you with more insight about this transit. This house theme will show you what areas of your life will need extra support and where your vulnerabilities may feel more visible and challenging. Seek balance in this area of your life and body. Listen carefully to this body part. The Nature Of Jupiter Jupiter is a planet of sattva, purity. His intention is to purify what is impure and to awaken pure knowledge. He prefers the spiritual realms and offers spiritual support and guidance when well placed in the natal chart. When we go against him, he can be overpowering in his attempts to bring us back to spiritual harmony and balance. When strong, he brings us pure knowledge, wisdom, and support. When he is weak, he disrupts our ability to receive wisdom, support, and proper guidance- which can have dire impact on your dharmic path. As the planet of expansion, satwa (purity) and akasha (space), Jupiter brings us knowledge and wisdom as well as new awareness. The Sanskrit name for Jupiter is guru (teacher), expressing the support and nourishment he provides. As Jupiter moves around the zodiac, he sparks learning and growth through wisdom, guidance, support and resources. Whatever he touches, he expands- which may feel helpful or uncomfortable at times. Jupiter transits are roughly one year long and impact all levels of wisdom, knowledge, comfort and support. He leads you to your dharmic path and supports the nourishment gained along the way. Positive effects of Jupiter bring comfort, support and understanding. He brings learning through greater awareness and expansion of consciousness- which of course is not always comfortable. He is the ultimate teacher (for better or worse) providing some of the most poignant life lessons. Challenges with Jupiter include lack of support, knowledge, and dharma. When Jupiter is not strong in the chart, there may be little to no support offered, few resources or missed opportunities. Dharma may be impossible to find with a weak or challenging Jupiter in the natal chart. Everyone can benefit from the helpful and supportive resources that Jupiter provides. However, without his support, challenges and struggles increase- which often bring tragedy, trauma and chaos. As the guru, he represents teachers of all sorts- including coaches, healers, guides, mentors, therapists, wisdom keepers and shaman. Receiving the blessings of Jupiter requires that you allow the nourishment and wisdom of this type of support to be received. Negative influences upon Jupiter in the jyotish chart, will create challenging experiences with teachers and a resistance to knowledge and wisdom. Whereas positive influences upon Jupiter in the jyotish chart will offer nourishing and supportive experiences with teachers, wisdom and guides. If Jupiter is a naturally benefic, or positive planet, in your chart, the coming transit may be offset slightly. Jupiter loves dharma, right action, spiritual gifts and wisdom. He is a great support for aligning and clarifying your dharmic path. Using this time wisely will be important for making progress on your path and getting soul level support. If Jupiter is not a positive resource for you, this transit can offer certain challenges with knowledge, wisdom, guidance and support- especially for your dharmic path. You may lose support, be forced to restructure, face hardships and lack of resources. The impact of a weak Jupiter will mostly be felt as he moves through Capricorn and will improve with his entry into Aquarius. Notice what comes to light and take action. For everyone, a Jupiter yagya is strongly recommended for this transit to buffer the vulnerabilities. Do you have the right kind of support right now? Do you have enough support right now? How Prepared Are You For This?Just after the May full Moon, an unusual series of retrograde planets kicks off- sparking many months of re-balancing, clean up, intensification, and shadow work. Two of the most important planets, Saturn and Jupiter, have lengthy retrogrades starting this month- which will bring lasting changes and important insights for life and purpose. Because they are both slow moving, their impact is much more powerful. Saturn retrogrades for five months in Capricorn, starting on May 10th. He won't go direct until end of September. This is an important time to clean up grief, structure, support, systems, and your dharmic offerings- or career if you are not sharing your dharmic gifts. Saturn doesn't tolerate excess or messiness so clean up the disorder in your life and start simplifying! Jupiter is currently in Capricorn as well, beginning his retrograde motion on May 13th, returning to his own sign Sagittarius on June 29th. He continues to move in reverse until mid September. Whatever you missed these past months on your dharmic path, Jupiter will be requesting more of your awareness this time around. This Jupiter retrograde is a vital transit for your path and purpose, for spirituality, and cleaning up impurities in your life. You will need more support, focused guidance, and a very clear intention for this next phase. Don't make the mistake of staying stuck where you are and refusing to take effective action. This transit is asking you to take a different approach in order for very different results. This opportunity won't come again. Jupiter does not tolerate adharma, so notice where he is nudging you to align more fully with your dharmic path. Venus starts his return process on May 13th, continuing his transit through his own sign, Taurus. He will retrograde until June 25th, offering an unusually lengthy transit through one of his favorite signs. He won't enter Gemini until July 31st. All retrograde planets are asking us to pay closer attention and attend to parts of ourselves and our lives that are challenged or imbalanced. Venus will be asking you to focus on the material world- finances, nourishment, wealth, speaking, manifesting, bringing desires into form. Relationships, love, and sensuality will request attention as well. What needs to change in order for you to feel more nourished in your life? Later in June Mercury will retrograde as well. For a short time, four planets will be moving in reverse. Retrograde planets act like the shadow nodes Rahu and Ketu. That means they bring extremes, chaos, distortion, and intensification. Be mindful that things often have to intensify so we can see them more fully. Wherever we've been ignoring the truth, bypassing or avoiding reality, the intensification can help us re-focus and re-align with more clarity and insight. Notice where you are receiving a pinch in your life and take effective action. It's an important time to make necessary adjustments, and make new choices that support the outcome you desire. Rarely do we get such a powerful opportunity to clean up all areas of our life simultaneously. Thanks to Saturn, Jupiter, Venus and even Mercury, you will be asked to do many layers of clean up at the same time. Be vigilant! Never miss my Moon Wisdom, transit reports, or horoscopes! The entire world is being forced to hit reset right now. Our choices, actions, and behaviors have long been unsustainable. Now we have the chance to restructure and move forward differently. Saturn is taking his time moving through his own sign of Capricorn right now. As much as he loves his own sign, Saturn is forcing a new kind of balance on every level of life as a result. He doesn't care for excess and won't allow it. Wherever you have gotten away with excess in the past, it's not being tolerated in this cycle. This can bring a new overall balance and harmony into our world, but not without simplification, release, and slowing down. He allows for necessity, but nothing extra. Saturn is a loner, and brings loneliness and separation. He reminds us of what is important as a result. As Saturn arrives in Capricorn, structures shift and take on new shape for the coming 2.5 years. The impact of this transit on your body and life will greatly depend on your relationship with Saturn. Are you in alignment with natural time? Are you listening to your body wisdom? Are you honoring the cycles and rhythms of your body, the seasons, the Transits? Are you balancing work and rest, movement and meditation, silence and stillness? Remember that wherever you are out of balance with Saturn, he will give you a pinch. Always pay attention when he gives you a small pinch because the more you resist or avoid his messages, the louder he will get. When Saturn is shouting, there is dis-ease already fully established in your body already. Since Saturn is the planet of grief, he will be asking you to find a new relationship with your grief, emotions and losses in this 2.5 year transit. Read Even More About This Important Saturn Transit in My 2020 Moon Wisdom and Transit Calendar While Saturn is asking us to simplify and ultimately find a new sense of structure and balance, the lunar nodes, Rahu and Ketu, are much more disruptive and chaotic this year. We are seeing the challenging impact of the shadows through the Corona Pandemic, as well as natural disasters, extremes in the stock market, sudden losses and disruptions on all levels of life. The nodes, as Rahu and Ketu are referred to, are mischievous in nature. They present our karmas to us in this incarnation. They represent forces that can't be seen and are the parts of ourselves that go unnoticed and unrecognized. When, and if, the shadow or veil of illusion is removed, and we do see what has been hidden from us, it is often extremely painful. On March 7th 2019, our karmas shifted. Rahu moved to creative, airy Gemini and Ketu shifted to Sagittarius. This 1.5 year transit lasts until September 23rd, 2020. During this transit, both planets move through mulitrikona degrees, then into exaltation, creating even more intensified results with our shadows. As Rahu shifted into Ardra nakshatra and Ketu into Mula nakshatra, the challenges have greatly intensified. Both of these constellations are arguably two of the most challenging stars in the entire zodiac. With both Rahu and Ketu in challenging nakshatras simultaneously, it's a time to be extra cautious and honor the vulnerability of this time. Ketu in Mula Nakshatra: January 15th, 2020 to September 23rd, 2020 Ketu in Mula nakshatra, forces the entire world to feel a deep uprooting taking place. It's important to understand that everyone on the planet will simultaneously be experiencing the instability of this transit. None of us will come out of this cycle the same person. Mula is considered a gandanta, notorious for pulling up the weeds within the psycho-emotional body levels of our being. The dark goddess, Nirrti, rules this constellation- often causing havoc, chaos and choices that lead to adharma. This is a time period that will provide immense, radical clearing in very unpredictable ways. The planet as a whole may feel very unstable as a result. The best use of your energy is to stay close to your dharmic path and do not get derailed. Slow down even more. Don't take unnecessary risks and focus on staying close to the body. Gather even more support than you think you need. You will need it. Rahu in Ardra: September 11th, 2019 to May 20th, 2020 With Rahu in Ardra nakshatra, storm god, Rudra, takes center stage. His powerful energy increases exponentially with the magnification of Rahu. Big waves are likely- physically, materially and within Nature. Sudden, unpredictable surges of power will occur. Be very mindful how you use this big energy or the storms will swallow you up. This is a time period to be very diligent with staying grounded. Stay on top of the mind and don't let the imaginal realms pull you off path. Strengthen your roots so the storms don't destabilize you. Emotions will be strong, overpowering and challenging at times. Are you in right relationship with your emotional body waves, or are you getting lost in the depths of the ocean? Be careful with yourself and others. Challenging people may surface just to test your strength. Diligence with your shadow work is non-negotiable right now. Take responsibility for your own triggers and feelings. Gather even more resources and support to help you navigate the choppy waters. Read Even More About the 2020 Transits + Use Your Personal Horoscope for Even More Clarity in 2020 Remember that this is not a time to take risks. Heed the desires of Saturn and honor his wisdom of slowing down, simplifying life, and honoring the need for silence, rest, and quiet. When we honor the desires of Saturn, the other planets fall into line naturally- even the extremes of the shadow nodes. As Jupiter shifts to its debilitation sign, Capricorn, joining Saturn here, the need for honoring vulnerability strengthens. Jupiter is a planet of sattva, purity. On March 29th, Jupiter enters Capricorn and becomes debilitated. Here, he will have to contend with Saturn once again- while feeling the pinch of debilitation simultaneously. This can squeeze and cause pressure to Jupiter's expansive ways. A debilitated planet can't offer much outer support as its energy turns inward. This transit can cause challenges with all things Jupiter- so be mindful of what needs are surfacing and what changes and adjustments need to be made on your dharmic path. Pay attention to this short transit of Jupiter in Capricorn as this will give you insights into what to expect in 2021 when he goes debilitated for an entire year. For now, we will see Jupiter re-enter his own sign, Sagittarius, on June 29th, 2020. This is an important time for restructuring your life and making necessary adjustments to your life path. Rather than waiting until you are forced to make changes, be proactive and make adjustments to prevent crisis. I am reminding clients that restructuring your dharmic business is inevitable this year. If you don't have an online offering yet (Ketu), now is the time to make it happen. Prepare for business challenges and disruptions in advance, and don't wait to make the changes that need to be made- or you will face unnecessary losses and challenges. Check in with me if you need help with these changes to your soul based business. Remember that challenges are an opportunity to transform, change, and grow. Use the difficulties this year to create something new, innovate, get creative, and move in a new direction. This year does not have to be horrific- if you are willing to make big adjustments to yourself and your life. This includes doing your shadow work and being honest about your resistance and fear. When you are willing to show up for your own darkness, the path becomes more gentle. Let my 2020 Moon Wisdom Calendar Help You Clarify Your Path in 2020 2020 MOON WISDOM CALENDAR

Sagittarius is Jupiter's most balanced transit, however, he must contend with Saturn and Ketu for the majority of his passage through his favorite fire sign. Sadly, a large part of this transit is cut short as Jupiter enters his debilitation sign for several months. Unfortunately, we won't get the full benefits of Jupiter in his most balanced, comfortable placement, however, there are still many spiritual benefits that we can look forward to. As Jupiter lands in Sagittarius on November 4th, he enters the challenging gandanta of Mula nakshatra while also joining Saturn and Ketu in this sign. Expect inevitable restructuring, contraction, losses and grief thanks to Saturn and Ketu. There will be clearing and releasing taking place, which can ultimately lead to more gains further down the road. Remember that Jupiter wants to purify, so listen carefully to his requests. What are you making space for? When Jupiter collides with Saturn and Ketu, a natural restructuring will be taking place. Saturn is the planet of grief and has an energy of contraction. Ketu is highly spiritual, disembodied, and shows us where we need more connection and awareness. Jupiter will be bringing the necessary wisdom and support that is needed to heal, grow, expand, and find more wholeness on your dharmic path. Saturn will move to his own sign, Capricorn, on January 23rd, 2020 which will give Jupiter a little breathing room while he transits Sagittarius. However, Jupiter then shifts to Capricorn, his sign of debilitation, on March 29th, 2020, where he will have to contend with Saturn once again- while feeling the pinch of debilitation simultaneously. Once Jupiter lands in Capricorn and goes debilitated, then goes retrograde on May 14th, a reversal will take place called Neecha Bhanga. A debilitated planet that goes into retrograde motion is said to become exalted- almost. This will strengthen the effect of Jupiter and will offer more support while he moves through Capricorn, however, it's not a complete cancellation. I've found personally that much of the impact of the debilitation can still be felt- so be mindful that this is still a delicate transit. Sagittarius is a fire sign that is deeply connected to spiritual desires. As the number nine, it naturally reflects the wisdom of the 9th house of dharma. Symbolized by an archer pulling his arrow back, this sign needs to remember to take action, not just prepare. There is a tendency for "over-preparation" with this sign, rather than taking focused, right-action. Notice where you are causing delays, creating obstructions, resisting forward momentum. The support will be here for you to move forward, but you must take the steps to make it happen. This sign wants fairness and justice, as well as truth. The shadow side to this sign is dogma, puritanical beliefs and ideals. Jupiter in Sagittarius: November 4th, 2019 to November 19th, 2020: Moves to Capricorn on March 29th, 2020 Retrograde May 14th, 2020 Moves back to Sagittarius on June 29th, 2020 Goes direct on September 12th, 2020 Jupiter is a planet of sattva, purity. His intention is to purify what is impure and to awaken pure knowledge. He prefers the spiritual realms and offers spiritual support and guidance when well placed in the natal chart. When we go against him, he can be overpowering in his attempts to bring us back to spiritual harmony and balance. If Jupiter is a naturally benefic, or positive planet, in your chart, the coming transit can naturally offer more gains, expansion and support on your spiritual path. This can be an especially powerful time for your dharmic path as Sagittarius naturally pulls from the 9th house of dharma. The impact of a weak Jupiter will likely be felt as he moves through Mula nakshatra and goes debilitated in Capricorn. November 4th, 2019 to January 4th, 2020: Jupiter in Mula Nakshtra This is a time of powerful restructuring, uprooting and change. Mula is a gandanta- a gap between water and fire- notorious for uprooting on the psycho-emotional body levels. Ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti, this cycle is especially important for your dharmic path. Are you making choices that move you closer to dharma or further away from it? Address self sabotage, resistance to your growth, and the neglect of your souls purpose. You may experience challenges, obstructions, or delays on your dharmic path. Gather the support, guidance, resources and tools you need to move forward with more clarity and focus. Don't lose sight of your goals, disires and spiritual intentions. Seek spiritual insights and wisdom, as well as deeper self trust. What needs to change once and for all- so you can finally move forward with more ease and gentleness? A clearing is taking place. Allow the release to take place. Next steps will be planting your seeds of desire and intention. January 4th, 2020 to March 7th, 2020: Jupiter in PurvaAshada Nakshatra As Jupiter moves through PurvaAshada, the water goddess, Apas, enlivens. This is a constellation of perspiration and effort- which results in fruitful rewards. This transits supports purification, release and transformation- especially on the phsyical body level. This is powerful time for cleansing and cleaning up your lifestyle and diet. Seek resources, support, guidance and tools that help you purify your life. Where there is impurity, Jupiter will be requesting you do clean up. Clear away the excess, the impure, the malnourishment. Make space for your deepest desires, nourishment and support. It's time to up-level on all levels of your life! Use this time to water the vision, desires and goals you have for your life path and purpose. Focus your attention and actions on the direction you want to go and make the necessary space for what you truly desire. March 7th, 2020 to July 26th, 2020: UttaraAshada Nakshatra The intention of UttaraAshada is right action. Ruled by the Vishva Devas, goodness, truth, and purity are their desire. The "all gods" will support righteous behavior and choices, but adharma will not be tolerated. Are you in right-relationship with your dharmic path, your souls purpose? This constellation can be a powerful boon for the dharmic path, but if you are misaligned, you will be asked to clarify and refine your actions and choices. If you aren't getting the support you would like, it's time to take a different course of action. You are off path somehow. What needs to shift in order for more right-action? What is your focus and intention right now? What are your desires? Clarify your direction and where you are putting your energy. What action steps move you closer to your goals, your dharmic path? What action steps are wasting your time and energy? Now is the time to get the lasting results you truly desire for your path and purpose. Don't hesitate and don't delay. July 26th, 2020 to October 29th, 2020: Back to PurvaAshada Nakshatra October 29th, 2020 to January 6th, 2021: Back to UttaraAshada Nakshatra |
