This Week's Intention: Find the places within you that resist the process of letting go. Your ability to be nourished in life requires that you make space for the new. Where do you need more space within- in order to hold that which you desire? Manifestation requires that you deepen your relationship with your emotional body, that you can feel when you are nourished and satisfied. Honor these moments. The week begins with Moon shifting into Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac- sparking endings, release and closure. A waning Moon and new Moon later this week, provoke deep introspection and strong potential. Sun and Venus continue their combustion, causing heat, friction and tension with feelings and body, as well as passion with spirit and connections. Relationships, finances, creativity and comfort continue to be challenging. The stop and start energy of retrograde Saturn and Mars offer opportunities for slow, steady steps. Watch carefully where you're forcing or pushing as there will be increased challenges as a result. Spiritual and material conflicts continue as well with Rahu and Jupiter still in close degrees. Notice where you are misaligned with your human and spiritual needs. Where are you confused and overwhelmed? It's time to clarify and let go of who and what is not serving your path. The clearer you are, the more clearly you can receive. Monday, May 30th Moon in 9th & 10th tithi Navami to Dashami Start your week with the theme of balance, integration and embodiment. Keep landing within and honor the parts of yourself that are in conflict, confusion, disoriented. Part of you is moving forward, but the rest of you is resistant to the change. Part of you is in the body, the other part of you is trying to jump out. Moon moves to Pisces late morning, but continues through Ajaikapada's domain. Staying grounded is imperative. What grounds you? What reminds you that you have arrived within? That you are present to your being? Reach in, move within, land within your inner landscape. As Moon shifts to Uttarabhadrapada early afternoon, Ahirbudhnya arrives with depth, introspection and a call to the inner wisdom that lives inside you. Dive deeply into your inner terrain and find the places that are keeping you from wholeness, empowerment and strength. Ruling planet of this constellation is Saturn. His placement in Scorpio right now will certainly support your deep, inner exploration, but you'll have to lean into the resistance that blocks your path. Tuesday, May 31st Moon in 10th & 11th tithi Dashami to Ekadashi Moon continues through the latter half of the Bhadrapada constellation until midday. Spend the first half of your day moving within, reaching into your depths, harvesting inner pearls. As Moon shifts to the final nakshatra of the zodiac, Revati, a certain nourishment is needed to find your way forward. What sustains your path and purpose? What needs do you have for reaching your goals and arriving at your end results? Release and let go of stories, mental body programing and limiting beliefs keeping you locked in struggle and suffering. Life can be easier. Are you resisting the ease as well? Gather the resources you need to move towards gentle, support, guidance and inner stability. Wednesday, June 1st Moon in 11th and 12th tithi Ekadashi to Dvadashi Just before noon, Moon arrives in Aries, bringing beginnings, fresh starts and new steps. The leap from Pisces (water) to Aries (fire) is often challenging for the sensitive Moon. You may notice extra emotions as a result- from tears to anger. Moon joins Mercury in Aries, while both Jupiter and Rahu give their gaze. Emotions and mind struggle to find peace and calm in the coming days, while Rahu gives confusion, overwhelm and uncertainty. Jupiter can act as a buffer and may add some softening, however he is currently transiting a Venus ruled nakshatra, while transiting a Sun ruled sign. Both Venus and Sun are in a heated battle currently. You may experience this as tension between human and spiritual desires. While confusion and conflict with masculine and feminine energies increases inner conflict as well. Ride the waves thoughtfully. Stay out of the stories and land in the body and its wisdom as much as you can. Notice when your mental body is dragging you through the mud. Rejuvenation and release will be necessary today. Spend time relaxing, using healing treatments and with spiritual resources. How can you release whatever feels too heavy to carry forth? Thursday, June 2nd Moon in 13th tithi Trayodasi Late morning, Moon shifts to Bharani nakshatra, a Venus ruled constellation with the severity of Yama. Transformation comes with this star through both life and death, endings and beginnings, loss and gain. What are you awakening to and allowing to birth from your efforts? What needs to be let go and released in order for you to have space for the new? If there are challenges, you must take an honest look at where you're resisting or refusing to heal and transform blockages within. Part of you is saying yes, but there's a part of you saying no as well. Get honest about the needs hidden in your desires. Moon and Mercury collide today in Yama's nakshatra of restraint. Clarify mental and emotional body differences and how they interplay. The mind stirs the emotions, the emotions can stir the mind. The safe zone is your body. Land in sensation and avoid the overwhelm of the choppy waters. Friday, June 3rd Moon in 14th tithi Chaturdasi Moon begins to separate from Mercury mid morning, moving into Krittika nakshatra, the domain of Agni. Sun rules this star, which amplifies the heat of the fire god, Agni, while increasing transformation and purification. Currently, Venus and Sun are in a heated battle, one that is closely connected to purifying and releasing toxicity, excess, obstacles and blockages that keep you from feeling comfort and support. Where are you resisting and refusing to receive the nourishment you need? Your desires intensify, yet the other half of you is in strong resistance. Your job is to find all the obstacles and blockages keeping you from getting the resources that you need. Transformation is vital at this time. Are you even resisting this need for change? Moon joins Venus and Sun in Taurus midday, while moving through its exaltation degrees. The emotional body is at high tide, even though it is dark, empty and sensitive. Honor your emotional body with diligence. Moon is almost completely empty. Potential and possibility abound! What seeds are you planting? What seeds are you afraid to plant? What seeds do you wish you could plant, but are still playing small instead? Your resistance to your greatness is keeping you in the dark. Saturday, June 4th Moon in 15th tithi Amavasya Moon moves into exact conjunction with Sun and Venus early morning, shifting into Rohini nakshatra. This highly creative nakshatra is a potent manifestation resource if you know how to use your inner Creative Intelligence properly. Lord Brahma and his feminine counterpart Saraswati, rule this domain, creating and supporting manifestation, bringing desires into form. Deep feelings and intense emotions are also possible as a result of the Moon ruling this constellation. After all, feelings and emotions are potent manifestation resources. How do you use your Creative Intelligence? Attend diligently to your inner waters at this time. It will be easy to misdirect your energy with the excessive emotional energy. The Moon is fragile however, so honor this inward time. Don't burn out your life force energy with too much externalized effort. New Moon is at 21:00 while the Moon is in Taurus, it's exaltation sign. Moon will be in strong degrees, in Rohini nakshatra at the time of the New Moon on June 4th. There will be confusion between inner and outer in the cycle to come, so finding balance between external needs and internal needs will be important for the first half of the month. At the time of the new Moon, Sun, Moon and Venus are all in exact degrees, placed in the highly creative Moon-ruled nakshatra, Rohini. All three planets receive direct gaze from retrograde Saturn and Mars, adding pressure and heat to the mix. There is a deep purification process happening with relationships, money, comfort and support in this waxing cycle. Clarify what you are creating, burn away what doesn't serve or honor your needs, turn the discomfort into resource for inner and outer change. Read more about the New Moon and Waxing Moon Cycle in my Moon Wisdom. Sunday, June 5th Moon in 1st tithi Pratipad Moon shifts to Mrigashirsha nakshatra just as Sunday begins. This is a nakshatra ruled by Soma, the divine nectar personified as the Moon. Mars rules this nakshatra, which brings much movement and action. Its symbol is a deer head with antlers. A deer is flighty, constantly in motion, covering new ground. Its antlers continue to grow, branch out, extend, then they fall off and the process begins again. This is the story of Mrigashirsha- always changing, reaching, growing and extending. Part of you is really ready to take the leap. The rest of you is dragging its heels and resisting the process of change. What does this part of you need in order to feel safe enough to move forward? Midday Moon shifts to Gemini increasing the fickle nature of this nakshatra. Tension and confusion may arrive with anger or frustration as Mars gives his gaze to the Moon now. Slow, gentle, methodical steps. Pause, breathe, repeat. Just before midnight, Moon moves into the sharp and dreadful (Tikshna) nakshatra, Ardra. The power of Rudra may prevent sleep as he stirs your emotional body. Get to be early and calm your emotions with gentleness and self care. Monday, June 6th Moon in 2nd tithi Dvitiya The week begins with the intense energy of Ardra just as Moon begins its waxing cycle. The emotional body is still fragile, inward and sensitive. Moon moves through Gemini, while its ruling planet Mercury moves to the edge of Aries. The mind and emotions are delicate today and Ardra's ferocity may provoke unpredictable emotional outbursts from you and from others. Passions are high, confusion is strong, overwhelm is present. Do you choose to land in the storm or in the eye of it. You get to use your power with freewill. How do you use your inner strength? Before midnight, Moon shifts to Aditi's domain- offering nourishment, resources and softer, gentler steps. Where do you feel this sense of support in your body. Keep landing back here again and again. * All timing is in Mountain Daylight Time- one hour ahead of Pacific Time, one hour behind Central Time and two hours behind Eastern Time.

This Week's Intention: Move into the receptive, the sacred pause, the inner listening. Align with your yes- the one that accepts support, resources, new possibilities, more guidance. Drop your arms. Identify all the places within you that resist the nourishment you need. The struggle is real, honor it, but use it to heal and transform, rather than staying stuck. The week begins on the tail end of a full Moon weekend. Moon continues through its debilitation sign, offering remnants of the Scorpio full Moon. Deeper receptivity is available in this waning cycle, let this be an intention as the days get darker and turn more inward with the waning Moon. Mercury is now direct, though Saturn and Mars continue in retrograde motion causing challenges with stops, starts, frustrations and confusion with actions and pauses. Jupiter and Rahu continue to track each other closely in Leo, only a few degrees apart- causing conflicts with spiritual matters, authority, teachers and leadership matters, as well as power and passion. Additionally, Sun and Venus move together, combust, through the sign of Taurus. The heat is on! A purification process is taking place within you. Honor this clarifying process with rest, pause and attention to your receptive self. Whatever the challenge, the answer is healing your inner conflicts, the battle within. Gather the resources you need to create new pathways of healing. Monday, May 23rd Moon in 2nd tithi Dvitiya Moon continues through Jyestha until noon. Let your morning be simple and clarify what you need for mental stamina this week. Write to-do lists, clarify and organize. Let meditation and nature be your morning resources in order to set the tone for the week to come. As Moon leaps to Mula midday, Nirrti arrives with her chaos and confusion. She is adharma, against dharma, meaning she can provoke challenges that will derail your best efforts for success. Often there is a silver lining and a spiritual purpose for this challenge and calamity, but it can also instigate the addiction to chaos that comes with systemic overwhelm, over stimulation and over attachment to the pain body. Mula nakshatra is a sharp and dreadful nakshatra (Tikshna) which means that strong actions will be supported, while gentle and soft actions will not. Whenever Mula arrives, it is a powerful opportunity to identify how you work with chaos in your life. Do you resist it? Get sucked in? Or do you find the center, where your stability and support is? Today, get embodied. Find your grounding cord. Align with your center. Tuesday, May 24th Moon in 3rd tithi Trityiya The majority of the day, Moon continues through Mula nakshatra. It's important to keep grounding and landing in your body, connecting to your core wisdom. Continue to notice your relationship with the chaos. Early afternoon, Moon shifts to the 2nd constellation within Sagittarius. As Moon moves into PurvaAshada nakshatra, the water goddess, Apas, arrives with her watery ways. There is extra receptivity available as a result. How do you use this? Ruling planet of this nakshatra is the water planet Venus, who is currently in combustion with the Sun. Even with the extra water today, notice the heat, agitation, fire, provoking conflict. Pause, land in the creative flow, honor the wisdom of slow movement and your watery inner landscape. Wednesday, May 25th Moon in 4th tithi Chaturthi PurvaAshada continues to share its watery wisdom the majority of the day. Venus and water goddess, Apas, rule this constellation. Flow, fluidity and movement continue to be resources for the day. Water moves- whether gently or harshly. She reminds us to move the inner waters and keep the emotional body in transformation. Where are you resisting the flow? Resisting your emotional body waters, your creative power? As Moon shifts into the latter half of this constellation late afternoon, the Vishvadevas bring their support with UttaraAshada. Nobility and right conduct are the orientation of this star. There is dharmic support here when you align with your inner knowing. When you by-pass this inner intelligence, you will miss the messages. Sometimes when you think you're doing something right, you're still not listening. Inner wisdom is not about the "should" or "have to" or the "supposed to". Listen to that part of you that says stop, slow down, the part that knows what changes to make. Just before midnight, Moon moves to Capricorn, receiving Saturn's structured gaze. The Moon will feel this pressure in the coming days. Honor Saturn's need for slow, steady steps. Honor challenges as warning signs that you need to make adjustments, changes and find new resources. Thursday, May 26th Moon in 5th tithi Panchami Moon moves through Capricorn and UttaraAshada until late morning when it arrives in the sacred 28th nakshatra, Abhijit. This is a time to attend to spirit and the needs of your spiritual body. Meditate, spend time in nature, set intentions for the days and weeks to come. Stay connected to your inner realms and be in the receptive. This portal lasts until early evening. Use this day to align with your spiritual center and choose your actions accordingly. Moon shifts to Sravana as the Abhijit portal closes, ushering in the wisdom of Vishnu and his expansive, dharmic awareness. Vishnu and Sravana will deepen your ability to hear, listen and absorb wisdom through the ears. Vishnu is connected to Akasha, space. He is omnipresent and flows through you and around you, allowing you to sense, feel and hear spiritual guidance. Trust your inner compass and let it guide you. Listen carefully. Friday, May 27th Moon in 6th tithi Sashti Today offers strong feelings and a connection to your emotional body wisdom- if you listen and honor the messages. As Moon continues through Sravana, a Moon ruled nakshatra, your feelings will be enlivened. The 6th tithi (Moon phase) is ruled by Venus, another layer of your feeling body. Creativity and your ability to manifest, require that you are aligned with your feelings properly. If you block them or resist, your creative powers will be suppressed as well. Are you in right-relationship with your emotional body wisdom? You'll know by the way you respond to the waves. Be present to what arrives. Use this to guide you into action. As Moon shifts to Dhanishta nakshatra early evening, the Vasu Devas bring their light, shining and jyoti. They want you to shine- from the inside out. What is keeping you from shining your brightest? What part of you says no to being seen, noticed, acknowledged, accepted and fully able to love yourself? Saturday, May 28th Moon in 7th tithi Saptami Mid morning, Moon arrives in Aquarius, the domain of Saturn and Rahu. Moon will be conjunct Ketu in the coming days, while receiving drishti from Jupiter, Rahu and Mars. There's pressure, heat and wisdom available. Can you sift through the shadow in order to find the light? Moon moves through the territory of the Vasu Devas today, bringing light, shine and illumination. The Vasu Devas support being seen and they shed light on things- both internally and externally. They like to declare and proclaim, shout from the mountain tops and have their revelations be heard. They like to be in the light and as a result they want to be seen and acknowledged. This illumination and witnessing is yours if you move towards your truth and inner power. You are an attractive, powerful force. What is standing in the way of your full illumination- being seen and witnessed as a powerful force of truth, light and authority? What is keeping you from your dharmic path, from wealth and ending the struggle with your destiny? Early evening, Moon shifts to Satabisha nakshatra. Honor your health and inner needs. Ruling deity Varuna sees all. He brings punishment through challenges when you don't honor your body wisdom. He forces you to align with Natural Law and reminds us that prevention is the best medicine. Sunday, May 29th Moon in 8th tithi Ashtami Moon continues through Satabisha today until mid afternoon. Spend the first part of your day, clarifying and clearing, attending to health and healing needs. Ruling god of Satabisha is Varuna, who is considered the king of kings, ruler of Nature's Laws, cycles and rhythms. He keeps order in the universe and sees all mistakes, misalignment and misdeeds. He has immense, vast knowledge and awareness which is his offering today. Do you stay in the critic or invite in a more full vision of truth and right? Where are you resisting parts of yourself and others and staying limited in your site? Let go and release as Moon conjuncts Ketu today. Once Moon moves to Purvabhadra Nakshatra, a need for balance emerges between inner and outer. Ajaikapada, a form of Nataraja, brings presence to both realms- heaven and spirit, as well as earth and human. How can you integrate and land on both feet? Monday, May 30th Moon in 9th tithi Navami Start your week with the theme of balance, integration and embodiment. Keep landing within and honor the parts of yourself that are in conflict, confusion, disoriented. Part of you is moving forward, but the rest of you is resistant to the change. Part of you is in the body, the other part of you is trying to jump out. As Moon continues through Ajaikapada's domain, staying grounded is imperative. * All timing is in Mountain Daylight Time- one hour ahead of Pacific Time, one hour behind Central Time and two hours behind Eastern Time. The new Moon in Aries and Bharani nakshatra sets up a waxing cycle of death, restraint and transformation. Yama forces accountability, focus and righteous actions- which he'll do brutally if he has to. As the Moon waxes, Sun shifts out of exaltation and into an enemies sign. Less than a week later, Venus joins the Sun here as well, but it's her own sign, which cancels some of the challenges between Sun and Venus. Still, the conjunction of Sun and Venus in Taurus will cause heat to increase within relationships. A theme that's present for the month ahead. Nourishment, comfort and increasing resources are a focus for the coming cycle. Notice where you are getting what you need. Honor the nourishment that is alive, present and awake in your life. Then look for the holes. The only way to increase more of what you do want, is to clear away and let go of that which is not nourishing and supportive to you. Get radical with your no's. Jupiter Direct Jupiter goes direct in Leo at 06:07 MDT, Monday May 9th and has been retrograde for over four months now. Three planets are still in retrograde motion (Mars, Saturn and Mercury) but this does promote more forward momentum for power, strength, masculine energy and with regard to our light source, the Sun, ruler of Leo. Rahu and Jupiter, both in Leo, continue to move into close conjunction with each other. Now that Jupiter is moving in a forward direction, and Rahu continues in his always retrograde motion, the two will be moving into closer and closer conjunction in the coming days. Exact collision will be late June, but in the meantime, they are only several degrees apart. The collision of Jupiter and Rahu in Leo will provoke an interesting dance between the god-self and human-self. Saturn gives his stern, forceful gaze to these two planets from his perch in Scorpio. This focused energy will add an extra layer of intensity to the already powerful force of Jupiter and Rahu. When the energy of Rahu and Saturn conjoin, a Rudra effect is stirred. This can bring power, potency and intense movement as well as quick changes. This combination increases the theme of working with power authentically and carefully which will intensify after Jupiter moves to Virgo in August. Rahu and Jupiter invite an integration of opposing forces. This is a time for your inner god to meet your inner demon, your light to meet your darkness. These forces are at play within each one of us. What is your relationship with your darkness? With your light? This will be an opportunity to get more intimate with your modes of operation. Wherever you've been neglecting your darkness, spiritually by-passing, or avoiding it unconsciously, it will show up to test you and your power at this time. Normally, Jupiter is a comfort and a support, yet the relationship between Jupiter and Rahu is contradictory. Your demon and god qualities will be forced to face each other in the first six months of this cycle. How can both get their needs met, in order for greater harmony within? Where have you been avoiding this integration of your human and god qualities? This is a great time to be aware of where you may be refusing to look at your human parts with authenticity. Simultaneously, spirit is a great ally and a wonderful resource for extra support. However, even spirit wants you to evolve as a human being. It's time to be a fully integrated human. Gather the resources you need for this process. Read More About Rahu and Jupiter and Their Transit Through Leo Sun in Taurus On May 14th at 04:48 MDT, Sun moves to a challenging sign, Taurus for the coming month. Ruling planet of this earth sign is Venus, the water planet that gives life and fruitful existence- inside and out. Sun as fire, heat and all that burns, purifies and clarifies, doesn't mix well with the watery nature of Venus. Sun in Taurus will increase the desire for more nourishment, comforts and support. Money, relationships and all things Venus get a sudden dose of light, causing increased focus and awareness. This may intensify challenges with these areas of your life, while also forcing you to make transformations and changes. Working with your creativity is a vital resource for this process of change. Where are you blocking this creative energy, your creative power? Where are you saying no to more nourishment from life? These blockages are your resistance to more life force energy. As Sun transits through Taurus, expect the light to help you identify what is not working, what needs to change. You may also gather new resources and support as a result of shifting your focus. There is a lot of creativity available in this cycle, but you must know how to work with it in order for it to be used effectively. The power available to you is dharmic, ancestral and connected to Spirit. Are you allowing these resources of support to help you grow, change, heal and transform? It's crucial that you're brutally honest about what is working and what is not working. Release and let go of the stories, behaviors, relationships, possessions and desires that are strangling your progress and keeping you stuck. What happens when you free yourself of these attachments? Who can you be without this extra baggage? Saying yes to more nourishment requires that you are clear and aligned with all that is truly supportive- physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Honor your needs and say yes to resources that increase your sense of being alive! Work diligently on your manifestation process. The truth is, you can create anything you want. So why aren't you? Venus in Taurus Just before the full Moon, Venus moves to its own sign, Taurus, joining enemy, Sun, here. Venus arrives in Taurus on May 19th at 07:56 am Mountain Time. This transit increases the themes that are present with Sun transiting the same sign. Venus is the karaka (indicator) of relationships, wealth, nourishment, vitality and creativity, as well as the feminine. Sun is shining its light on the sign of comfort and support, Taurus, challenging the needs you have for safety, support and stability. As Venus shifts to this sign as well, the comfort as well as the tension will increase simultaneously as Venus and Sun oppose each other energetically. Polarities will increase as a result, manifesting in challenges, conflicts, arguments, expenses or relationship tension. Part of you is not being authentic, clear and direct with your own needs. Where are you neglecting, subjugating and resisting your emotional body wisdom? This is where you'll find direct access to your needs. Challenges are mirrors of what is not working, so use them as a resource for making necessary change. The emotional body will be your ally in this cycle. Make friends with the power it offers you. Find ways to deepen your emotional body literacy and honor this wisdom within you. There's a powerful transformation process taking place if you step into the strength of your feelings and creative intelligence. Your creativity is your power. Your emotions are your strength. Find the edge between vulnerability and strength. Use the clarity within your knowing to manifest your exact desire into being. You have this ability! The only thing in your way is resistance to being nourished fully. This discomfort, avoidance and even withholding of what you need from your Self, from your life, from others, is keeping you malnourished. The attraction, repulsion dynamic of I want more and simultaneously resisting that desire, is taking away your power, purpose and clarity. It's essential you harmonize the polarities within so that you can be well fed by life. Everything starts with digestion. Transform the challenges into new resources. Aries: Creativity and relationships will have their challenges, but if you can turn down the heat, you'll find ample creative juiciness. Romance, child-like wonder and intuitive wisdom begin to move forward as Jupiter goes direct. You must continue to work with your hidden blockages and obstacles though. These are the places that are resisting a sense of ease, gentleness and your own sensitivity. Parts of you are refusing to get their needs met, instead opting for pain, struggle and suffering. Why live in the dark, when you can have more light? Fearlessly rip off the band-aids, the parts of yourself that refuse to go into your dark, murky inner landscape. The solutions are hidden here. Don't keep walking in circles. Taurus: Light increases for you, once Sun emerges from its hiding place in the 12th house and moves into your head, the first house. Allow creativity, alone time and extra moments in bed to serve your self care practice. Relationships will feel unsatisfying- lurching forward at times, while stopping and slowing down at other times. Your heart is unclear about what it wants. Part of you is in and ready to say yes to more connecting and co-creating. The rest of you is resisting and saying no. Honor the part of you saying no and ask it to tell you what it needs for greater nourishment and ease. You must be willing to lean in closer and listen to your pain with tenderness. Begin this year long Sun cycle for yourself with clarity, pro-active measures and dedication to growth and change. Gemini: As Sun moves out of your house of gains and into its place of reclusiveness, the 12th house, it's time to pause and check-in with yourself. This is not a cycle of external focus, so best not force this. Your time will be well spent in bed resting, meditating or taking extra alone time. Still, creative power is yours and in fact the extra rest will support you in recharging your batteries and increasing your creative potency. Attend to health matters and stomach, digestion and assimilation of all that you are eating- on all levels of life. Taking time for rest and rejuvenation will support this digestion process from the previous months. As you near the end of a year long Sun cycle, it's time to take stock of the previous year and let your body hit re-set fully. Cancer: As Sun leaves your 10th house of career, it's a time of harvesting from your previous efforts and finding ways to fill your container with more resources. The conflicts and challenges you are facing are just your resistance to receiving. Why are you refusing to be nourished and supported from your work? Where are your limiting beliefs and self sabotage blocking you from greater success and fulfillment? Use your creative powers to imagine something more brilliant for yourself, then seek all the places within you that are saying no to these dreams and desires. Nourishment will move in a more forward direction after the 9th, but part of you still doesn't believe you deserve it. That negative self talk is the gateway to shifting into higher states of being. Are you ready to do the work, to follow those stories to their source, in order to change, transform and heal? Leo: Your inner power and awareness begins to turn outward once again after the 9th. The inner strength you've been cultivating over the past four months, starts to find a way to externalize now. Diligently share your energy through actions, choices and behaviors that support your gifts, talents and abilities. Part of you is saying yes to a more brilliant and powerful life, while the rest of you is resisting and staying in the shadows. Your heart wisdom is a potent resource for radical inner and outer shifts if you use your resistance as a resource for change. Where are you refusing to be nourished, supported and in comfort and ease? What parts of you refuse to accept your big dreams, goals and desires? What can your fear and discomfort tell you about refusing intimacy and deeper relationship with yourself and others? Seek creative resources and guidance to support your change and transformation process. Virgo: Once Sun shifts out of your 8th house, moving to your house of dharma on the 14th, a new level of illumination strikes you. The transformational process you've been in the past month will begin to pave the way for more dharmic support. Tap into your inner creative resources and channel this into projects, actions and imagine a bigger idea of what is possible for yourself and your life. Creativity is available to you in potent ways, but you must work diligently with the resistance simultaneously. The hands can be an ally of support for your self discovery. What can your hands share about what you need? What you want? What does your resistance need in order for more harmony to take place within you? Ask this part of yourself to share its challenges with you. Lean in and honor the needs of your pain. This is your radical liberation process taking place. Say yes. Libra: As Sun dips into your 8th house on the 14th, you begin a month of inner transformation. There is potential for deeper inner work and healing to take place if you say yes to the change process and allow the challenges to support your shifts. Strong desires for relationship arrive, yet you're unclear how to direct this energy fully. Part of you is saying yes to more passion, creativity and inner power. The other part of you is stuck in the fear, challenge and conflict. You want more nourishment, yet you don't know how to make it happen. The fear of your own power is keeping you stuck, resisting the comfort, support and security you crave. If you can address the fear head on and use the challenge as a resource for self growth, you'll be using this Sun cycle to its fullest. Take a step forward. Scorpio: Life is moving in jolts of stops and starts, yes and no, open and close. You are finding your dance with life in new ways, embrace the process. As Sun shifts to your 7th house of relationships on the 14th, looking in the mirror will do you good. Notice how relationships, the "other", are challenging you and causing amplified inner awareness- the comfortable kind and the uncomfortable variety. This is a time of healing heart and digesting old relationship wounds if you use the discomfort constructively. What works? What feels nourishing and supportive? Who and what does not? Listen carefully to your inner wisdom and investigate further. The painful mirrors are the door to self discovery, transformation and radical inner shifts. If you can clear the blockages effectively, you'll see shifts on all levels of life- personally and professionally. Sagittarius: You experience power shifts once Sun moves to your 6th house on the 14th. Suddenly there's a change in your purpose, inner knowing and desires. It's time to radically address where you are stuck, frozen and resistant to greater comfort, stability and support within. There's powerful liberation available to you, but you must be willing to look at your own fear directly. The fear that is paralyzing you from living a more powerful and potent life, one that fulfills you and aligns you with dharma. Take action steps towards your personal development and allow spirit to support your growth process. Seek guidance, wisdom and support for your steps. Find ways to increase the nourishment by working directly with your resistance to receiving. Capricorn: Let your heart swell with passion, creativity and inner wisdom. Your intuitive knowing and your creative power are directly connected to your heart, your ability to feel. Gains and increases come when you work with the heart blockages, the places within you that resist nourishment and feeling your emotional power. This receptivity is vital for manifestation, for bringing your visions, desires and goals into form. This power is yours when you say yes to feeling what you feel and honoring the needs that come with your emotional body landscape. This is a time of deep inner excavation. Learn from your inner depths so that you can more deeply honor and accept your full self. Say yes to all that is arriving and ask what your pain needs from you. Lean in closer. Aquarius: Chip away the illusions and the false parts of yourself. Rip of the veils and masks that are hiding your true, raw self. What is keeping you in the shadows? You say you want more in this life, to feel more satisfied and sustained, yet you resist the necessary changes in order to make this happen. Certain people, relationships and partners are keeping you in the dark. It's time to cut the cords. These mirrors are your reminders. The challenges are your messengers. As Sun enters your 4th house on the 14th, new light enters your heart. Start seeing things as they are, not as you wish they were. Be bold, creative, courageous. Invision and imagine your dreams into reality. Start by letting go of all that doesn't serve the vision you are creating. Pisces: Nourishment is key. Be fed, be well fed, by life. What are the ingredients you need to make a satisfying life, a life worth living? What are you missing for this recipe? Feed yourself well and let your digestion support your transformation and healing process. The mouth and gut are direct connections to your dharmic work. Are you paying attention to what feeds you? You are still clearing away and liberating yourself from past pain, digesting the emotions and strengthening your sense of self and power. Be courageous, creative and bold with your new life. How far are you willing to go in order to create a life of happiness and nourishment for yourself? How much are you ready to release and shed, in order to create space for your biggest desires to have room in your life? It's time to shed the old like a bad habit. * All timing is in Mountain Daylight Time- one hour ahead of Pacific Time, one hour behind Central Time and two hours behind Eastern Time.

The May full Moon will bring a debilitated Moon with Anuradha nakshatra- stirring precision, focus and regeneration for the cycle to come. This is a mild, tender and soft constellation, which will deepen the introspection and inward focus of the full Moon energy. Expect a waning Moon cycle that takes you deeper than you thought possible. Have a life preserver ready if you aren't schooled in the ways of Scorpio and the 8th house! The full Moon also falls on Buddha Jayanti, the celebrated birthday of Lord Buddha. It's an excellent time to stay inward, in contemplation, meditation or spend time in nature. Full Moon is May 21st at 15:14 Mountain Time, with Virgo on the ascendant at the time of the fullest portion of the Moon. Three planets sit in Scorpio at this time- Moon and retrograde Mars and Saturn. Moon is in exact conjunction with Mars, which instigates charged emotions and a fiery inner landscape. Aggressive, warrior Mars, ripples the soft and gentle waters of the Moon, causing anger, frustrations, emotional outbursts and violence. The pressure from Saturn simultaneously increases the intensity, while inviting in grief, sadness and pain connected to loss. Repressed emotions will be surfacing, emerging from your depths- which is the nature and essence of Scorpio. Anger is often connected to repressed power, while frustration is the repeated cycle of repressed anger and lack of momentum, action steps and movement. Expect emotions that have been very hidden, to surface at this time as well as in the cycle to come. Uncomfortable, yet extremely vital to increase life force energy and the circulation of more space within your bodies. Find safe, healthy ways to release the emotional pressure. Sun and Venus will be combust (in the 10 degree range of each other) in Taurus during the full Moon, a theme that continues through the end of June. These planets war fiercely- as the Sun is fire (masculine), while Venus is water (feminine). These two elements oppose each other. The conflict between these polarities will effect relationships, money, creativity, nourishment, comfort, health and vitality especially. Expect discomfort in these areas of your life. Notice where masculine and feminine energies are misaligned. The energy of Sun and Venus in Taurus, gives direct gaze (drishti) to Scorpio, inviting in this mirror to the Moon, Mars and Saturn. Are the frustrations and challenges you're feeling connected to an imbalance in your masculine and feminine energies? Where are your giving and receiving dynamics in conflict? Notice where Sun and Venus are moving through Taurus in your jyotish chart to determine where this battle is taking place. The cycle to come is a potent healing cycle, if you choose to use it as such. It's a time to clarify, get precise, hone in on exactly what you need and want, without frivolity. For many it will be a very dharmic time, pruning away the parts of your life that don't honor or serve your path fully. Challenges will be reminders of what must be released in order to simplify your journey. Let go of distractions and parts of your life that keep you away from your inner wisdom. It will be essential to tame the mind and cut away old stories, patterns, beliefs, conditioning and mental body illusions that keep you in lack, stuck, less than and away from your empowerment. At the same time, there is ample creativity and imagination available for those who actively participate in their creative power and potential. Do you know how to use your inner challenges and conflicts as a transformational and healing resource? Can you take your challenge and use it as a tool for re-shaping, re-creating your life? If ever there was a time to make lemonade out of the lemons, start juicing! Undeniably, this is a time period of great challenge for many. Multiple polarities and inner battles are taking place due to such opposition within the planets. Jupiter and Rahu intensify the challenges between purity and darkness, human and spirit. This battle is intimately connected to your path of clarity, purpose and inner trust. Anuradha nakshatra invites a cycle of triumph, success and immense transformation- for those who walk through the gateway. Out of darkness comes light. From mud, grows the lotus. From pain, one can appreciate the joy. From the process of death, new life can emerge. Let yourself be swept up in the transformational tides. Find your grounding cord within. Let the body be your channel, the entry point for deeper inner listening and awareness. Use embodiment as your mantra. Gather a new support team around yourself- one that is truly available to help you weather all storms. Full Moon Creative Ritual Class. Sunday, May 22nd @ 11am Mountain Time. In This Class... I shared more about the impact of this Scorpio full Moon and the cycle to come- as well as the impact of the current challenging transits. We worked with transforming challenges, polarities, obstacles and inner conflicts. I helped those in the class recognize what the challenge is actually telling them. What the need is. In order for movement, change, harmony and healing to take place. May Full Moon Creative Ritual1) Identify a challenge or conflict you are working with currently. Create an image of this challenge you feel emerging emotionally- as well as any other feelings or emotions that come up with this. What images emerge as you explore this feeling? What colors, textures and shapes arrive? Create an image that expresses your experience with this feeling. Spend at least 20 minutes creating this image. I suggest using paints or craypas and a large piece of paper. Title your image. In your journal or on the back of the drawing answer this question: If your image could speak what would it say? 2) Movement Exploration. Using your image as the inspiration for your dance, begin to move your body in response to your image. Move as though your body is having a conversation with your image. Let the colors, shapes, textures etc. invoke a response and let your body express this through movement and sound. Continue to develop your dance for 5 to 10 + minutes. Then respond to these questions aloud: I sense, I feel, I imagine. 3) Harvesting. Answer these baseline statements in your journal once you have completed the previous steps. Baseline Statements: I am___ I want___ I need___ I feel___ I sense___ I imagine___ What am I moving towards? What am I moving away from? * All timing is in Mountain Daylight Time- one hour ahead of Pacific Time, one hour behind Central Time and two hours behind Eastern Time.

I always know this means people are feeling what I'm feeling- the intensity of the transits. Sure, we got through four retrograde planets this past month. Yes, we've had a breather in some ways as Sun and Venus have separated momentarily. And honestly, life started to feel a forward shift last week when Jupiter went direct. But the reality is, we aren't in the clear. In fact, things are just heating up. I always try to be a truthful, yet optimistic astrologer- because the rest of me is a healer and coach who knows there's free will involved. Besides, there's enough negativity out there! During even the most challenging transits, I always see the gifts, positives and opportunities for growth and transformation. My guru always said "speak the sweet truth" and I honor this intention. So let me lay out the facts for you. But know that the only reason for this reality check is so you can use the difficulties you are experiencing in order to deepen your healing process. Honestly, what else is the point? Why read about horrific transits and not use that information to create lasting, inner change? When transits intensify and cause challenges, it's time to be more stringent with self care and reaching out for support. I encourage my clients to build a team of support around them. This means gather new resources, connect with guides, healers and therapists- while also getting extra rest and grounding through embodiment practices. Transit #1 First of all, Jupiter is direct, yes. But now he's moving towards Rahu, not away from him, as a result. They are in tight conjunction currently and will be moving into exact conjunction at the end of June. This means your "god self" and "demon self" are having a face off. Conflicts abound with light vs. dark energy! Expect challenges between spiritual needs and human needs. Not a comfortable dynamic for most. Make sure you don't miss my transit reports and updates. Get A Membership Transit #2 Venus and Sun will also be in tight conjunction in Taurus the majority of June. These planets war fiercely- as the Sun is fire (masculine), while Venus is water (feminine). Two elements that oppose each other. The conflict between these polarities will effect relationships, money, creativity, nourishment, comfort and health/vitality especially. Expect discomfort in these areas of your life. Notice where masculine and feminine energies are misaligned. Transit #3 Late June, Mars will finally step back into Libra, separating from Saturn until mid July. There will be a short breather from their intense dance of stop and start, yes and no, old and young, fast and slow. These polarities are currently effecting everyone's ability to take powerful action steps and gain momentum. There is a strong need to look at very unconscious self sabotage behavior as a result of this transit- since both planets are moving through Scorpio, the territory of the hidden parts of ourselves. Frustrations, challenges and resistance are all signs you are stuck this polarity battle. Transit # 4 The icing on the cake is a full Moon this weekend in Moon's debilitation sign. Moon will be transiting Anuradha nakshatra at the time of the full Moon, which stirs precision, focus and regeneration for the cycle to come. This is a mild, tender and soft constellation, which will deepen the introspection and inward focus of the full Moon energy. Expect a waning Moon cycle that takes you deeper than you thought possible. Have a life preserver ready if you aren't schooled in the ways of Scorpio and the 8th house! Make sure you don't miss my full Moon wisdom. Get A Membership These planetary challenges are gripping everyone in different ways, depending on the natal karma you are working with. But remember, even in the darkest of times, there is light. If you are struggling, please know you do not have to do this alone. You likely are experiencing deep growth and you just need new resources and support to help you integrate and move through the changes. I'm here to help you see your inner light and to start shining more brightly. I believe in you and your success. I believe in your creative power and your ability to thrive. I am here to help you expand what you think is possible for yourself. Swati* PS: I hope you'll join me for my *free* Full Moon Creative Ritual class this Sunday, May 22nd. We'll be discussing the debilitated full Moon + I'll be sharing resources to support you during these challenging transits. Join the Class List This Week's Intention: Opposing forces within you are forcing you to address your inner pain, challenges and torments directly. Your only job is to find a way to honor all your parts, pieces, stories and conflicts. Resistance will only intensify these battles. Instead, try leaning in closer, listening, honoring the needs of both sides. What does it mean to show up for yourself fully? Moon continues to wax this week, expanding and growing into fullness later this week. Venus moves to its own sign, Taurus, just before the full Moon this weekend. As Venus lands in Taurus, it joins Sun here. These enemy planets will be combust for nearly a month, causing tension, turmoil and challenges with relationships, comforts, nourishment and money. Moon will be in its debilitation sign during the full Moon, causing an unusually inward experience for the externally charged full Moon energy. Use this week to be gentle with yourself and your needs. Tend to your emotional body with care and patience, honesty and tenderness. Grief will be stirring- before, during and after the full Moon, whether you're conscious of it or not. Let it move. Simultaneously, Jupiter and Rahu move into tighter conjunction, causing uncertainty and confusion with wisdom, support, teachers and spiritual matters. Over all, this is a delicate week for inner and outer needs. Polarities are intensifying, which will increase the need to address parts of yourself that need more harmony. Don't resist, lean in and listen closely. Monday, May 16th Moon in 11th tithi Ekadashi Moon continue through Virgo today, outside of the gaze of the other planets. Aryaman still brings his physical and ancestral support, which strengthens today as a result of the Sun moving into stronger degrees. What is your relationship with your inner Sun? This will determine the results you feel- either nourishment or challenge. Late evening, Moon shifts into Hasta nakshatra, Savitr's star. He brings a different sense of light. His energy is awakening, enlivening and invites greater awareness and knowledge as a result. Let your hands be a tool for this awakening process. Find ways to invite in more creativity, wisdom and knowledge. Align with your inner knowing and let Savitr bring you the light you need to shine more brightly. Reciting Gayatri Mantra will help with this. Tuesday, May 17th Moon in 12th tithi Dvadasi Moon continues through Hasta the majority of the day. Savitr brings his light, wisdom and awakening through flashes of insight and brilliance. Pause to notice these moments or you'll miss them. You may find yourself re-visiting old stories, patterns and mental body cycles as Moon moves through Virgo- Mercury's sign, currently retrograde in Aries. These old stories may provoke emotional responses. Honor the mind by staying in the body. Move your physical body in order to transform the mental body. Get embodied using subtle and gentle movements- not forced, harsh or extreme. Allow the hands to create and get creative! Hasta invites extra magic and creative power through the hands, so let them be a healing resource for you today. Just before midnight, Moon moves to Chitra nakshatra. This Mars ruled nakshatra may bring frustration, agitation or anger. Try to get some rest and get to be early- before the mind takes over and increases tension between thinking and doing. *free* Full Moon Creative Ritual Class this Sunday, May 22nd at 11am MDT. Join live for personal support and guidance. Join the Class List Wednesday, May 18th Moon in 13th tithi Trayodasi Moon moves through Chitra today, Vishva Karma's domain. He is action oriented, yet as Moon moves through Mercury's sign, Virgo, there is tension between thinking and doing. Ideas are strong, grande and passionate, but the next step is the action needed for movement, momentum and the creation process to take place. What action steps are you resisting? Where are you staying in thinking, rather than doing? Where are you stuck? Moon moves to Libra after noon, receiving gaze from both retrograde Mercury and Venus. Increased creativity arrives. Ketu's drishti on the Moon gives sudden insight, spiritual connection and unexpected changes. Expect ideas and visions to arrive, yet confusion about how to put them into action. Part of you wants to move forward and say yes, the other part of you is saying no and resisting. How can you honor both sides? What do both sides need from you? Thursday, May 19th Moon in 13th to 14th tithi Trayodasi to Chaturdasi Just as Thursday arrives, Moon shifts to Swati nakshatra, bringing powerful winds of change. Vayu, the wind god brings his Rudra energy to this constellation. There is movement here- both gentle and strong. Changes are inevitable, but which direction will the winds take you? Get in touch with your inner Prana today and channel this energy with consciousness, rather than using it frivolously. Ruling planet, Rahu, brings a certain level of uncertainty and unpredictability with this nakshatra. How will you use the power of change? Will you direct the currents or resist them? Resistance intensifies, while surrender can neutralize. Just before the full Moon, Venus moves to its own sign, Taurus, joining enemy, Sun, here. Read more about Venus in Taurus in my Waxing Moon Horoscopes Friday, May 20th Moon in 14th to 15th tithi Chaturdasi to Purnima Moon moves to Vishaka nakshatra mid morning, inviting in Indra and Agni's support for the day. These are dual gods, opposing forces, yet they find harmony within co-creation. Indra is the king, while Agni is the priest. One entity represents the material world, while the other represents the spiritual world. How can these two energies find a way to integrate and harmonize when they have different needs? Each one is reliant on the other and they know this. Just like all polarities within your own being. The yes needs the no, the no needs the yes. The dark needs the light, the light needs the dark. Your only job is to honor both, rather than resist one or the other. Today, find ways to honor all your many parts, pieces and differences. Embrace your totality. The ruling planet of this nakshatra is Jupiter, who is currently in tight conjunction with shadow, demon planet Rahu. The spiritual parts of yourself are being confronted by the demon parts, intensifying a battle between good and evil. Resisting your inner darkness will only intensify it. Instead, try another way. Try compassion, honesty and deep listening. *free* Full Moon Creative Ritual Class this Sunday, May 22nd at 11am MDT. Join live for personal support and guidance. Emotions will be deep and inward. Moon moves out of Vishaka nakshatra and into Anuradha late morning, moving into fullness and conjunction with Mars. The May full Moon brings a debilitated Moon with Anuradha nakshatra- stirring precision, focus and regeneration for the cycle to come. Read more about the full Moon and the Waning Cycle to come Sunday, May 22nd Moon in 1st tithi Pratipad Moon moves to Jyestha nakshatra late morning, just before noon. This is Indra's nakshatra, as well as Mercury's domain. There is a profound sensitivity with the sense here- which can be a great strength or a great challenge. Attend diligently to your sensitivity today. Limit the input it receives, while spending time in nature to re-charge your receptors. Mercury goes direct at 07:18 MDT, with a debilitated Moon conjunct two opposing forces- Mars and Saturn, both retrograde. Warring factions, Sun and Venus move through Taurus, while Jupiter and Rahu battle for the power in the King's sign, Leo. As the mental body begins to move forward, it will be facing challenges in the weeks to come, especially as it continues to move through it's enemies sign, Aries. Mercury has been transiting this fiery and aggressive sign since April 2nd. This mental body cycle has provoked the mind to feel fragile and agitated at times. A release process is being instigated. Notice where necessary clean-up and final release must take place. Honor this process of endings and beginnings. As Mercury begins forward movement, the mind plunges into acute awareness, confronting and identifying with diligence. Do you notice or do you push past the messages? The mind requires your witnessing in this cycle- in order to work more consciously with mental body. Fiercely sift through the stories in the conscious mind. Bravely use this information to navigate and pull up old stories from the subconscious and unconscious parts of your being. This takes vigilance and dedication, yet is the only way to re-write old patterns and behaviors. * All timing is in Mountain Daylight Time- one hour ahead of Pacific Time, one hour behind Central Time and two hours behind Eastern Time.

This Week's Intention: Allow your steps to move you in a forward direction. Unify, connect, co-create and let your actions support your desires. Gather resources and support for greater strength and momentum. Where are you stuck or resistant- to inner and outer movement and change? The week begins on the heels of the most auspicious day of the year, Akshaya Tritiya, and Mother's Day for the USA. Monday arrives with Jupiter going direct- which leaves only three planets retrograde now (Mars, Saturn and Mercury). This week Sun will move to Taurus and Moon continues to wax- increasing in externalized strength. The light increases and comfort, nourishment and support become stronger themes for the weeks ahead. Read more about Akshaya Tritya in my New Moon Wisdom article. Monday, May 9th Moon in 4th tithi Chaturthi As Monday begins, Moon shifts to Gemini, receiving gaze from both Ketu and retrograde Mars. The week begins with a bang, literally. Watch for sudden outbursts, events and issues with heat and fire. Emotionally, you may feel overheated today or like the mind is full of hot air. Stay grounded and in your body as much as possible. Keep cool on all levels of your being. Moon continues through Mrigashirsha until noon. Find the nourishment and support of Soma as your day begins. Attend to health on all levels of your being and take time for sacred pause and actions that support your well being. As Moon shifts to Ardra, a certain sharpness arrives. Do you notice the sudden roar? The harshness? An ability to take executive action? Be in touch with your emotional body today and notice what it needs for greater understanding. You may find yourself intensely agitated, filled with grief, overwhelmed with joy or sadness, pain or anger. The waves come strong with Ardra. Rudra's power and strength is ultimately teaching you how to surf with the strongest, hardest waves. Jupiter goes direct in Leo at 06:07 MDT, Monday May 9th and has been retrograde for over four months now. Read More About Rahu and Jupiter and Their Transit Through Leo Tuesday, May 10th Moon in 5th tithi Panchami Moon moves through Ardra, a sharp and often dreadful nakshatra. The strength and power of Rudra is behind this nakshatra, which usually indicates emotional body intensity. Rudra was born from the creator's anger and thus brings destruction. Tears are a necessary part of the release process as a breaking open arrives within. Allow emotions to move today in healthy and helpful ways- don't stay bottled up and contracted. Just as Noon arrives, Moon shifts to a softer, gentler star. Punarvasu is Aditi's domain. She is the Mother of All Goodness, bringing resources and support to us on the Earth plane. She birthed the 12 signs of the zodiac and offers unification within. Her sister, Diti, is duality. Aditi is non-duality- which she gives through harmonizing and uniting opposing forces. She brings the ultimate polarity support. Find the nourishment today in uniting the opposing energies within you- the contradictions, battles and conflicts within your different parts. Where can shadow and light come together, connect and find harmony? What resources do you need for this process? Where are you stuck? Where are you resistant? Wednesday, May 11th Moon in 6th tithi Sashthi Mid morning, Moon arrives in its own sign, Cancer, finding a sense of comfort, support and nourishment as it does. Being out of the gaze of the other planets, increases this feeling of emotional strength. Moon brings a sense of safety within, allowing feelings to be honored and addressed supports your human needs. Just before noon, Moon shifts into the nourishing star, Pushya. This star will remind you that nourishment comes from yoga (unity), alignment and integration of opposing forces. The inhale and the exhale, the open and the close, the shadow and the light. Finding the intersection between your inner polarities is the fast track to deeper nourishment, clarity and inner strength. Acknowledge feelings, emotions and the wisdom coming from within you. Identify needs and honor the parts of you that yearn for connection, comfort and heart support. How can you get your needs met in more conscious ways? What type of support do you need for greater wholeness? Where are you feeling stuck or in lack? These challenges are opportunities, waiting for you to lean in closer and listen. Opportunities for greater balance and harmony. Thursday, May 12th Moon in 7th tithi Saptami Moon continues through Pushya nakshatra, deepening the ability to receive nourishment and support. There is a certain alignment with the heart and its wisdom since Cancer correlates to the fourth house- home of the chest, lungs, heart and emotional body. The emotional body will be more touchable and felt at this time. Do you honor it or push past its wisdom? As Moon shifts into Ashlesha nakshatra, the final star of Cancer, the mental body takes over. There may be conflicts and struggles between feeling vs. thinking as a result. How can you keep landing back in your heart wisdom? Your ability to feel is your deepest gift as a human being. This inner wisdom is your biggest resource for truth, strength and your unique power. Ruling deity of Ashlesha is the serpent Sarpa. In order to work with his dark, shadowy ways, you must be able to transcend and transform the mental body illusions. Honor its abilities, but understand that it is not real. The mind is an invaluable resource for creativity or a tool of destruction. Sun moves to the edge of Aries, preparing to leave its sign of exaltation. Inner power is strengthening now as our light source prepares to leap into a new cycle. Harness the strength and find your final moment with this energy. Sun won't be in Aries again until next year at this time. Friday, May 13th Moon in 8th tithi Ashtami Moon makes the potent leap into Leo just after noon. Half the day is spent finishing details with Ashlesha nakshatra and the Moon's favorite sign, Cancer. The mental and emotional bodies will require balance and harmony in order for your inner feelings to be recognized and fully experienced. Honor your feelings and stay connected to your heart. Once Moon shifts into Leo, a sudden burst of power and strength will be felt. Moon joins Jupiter and Rahu here, while all receive gaze from Ketu and retrograde Saturn. There's a certain spiritual support available in this energy, but it won't be tangible unless you seek it. Rahu brings worldly cravings and challenges. Drop into body, drop into heart, drop into spirit and move into deeper surrender. As Moon moves through Magha nakshatra the rest of the day, call upon the ancestors for guidance and support. Let them be a resource for you and your actions. Ask them to help you with strength, power and purpose, in order to align with dharma more fully. This is their job, and they will gladly help you with your needs. Venus and retrograde Mercury are in exact conjunction today within Aries. Both are friendly, creative and connectors. As Sun, the heat source, intensifies, leaving Aries, he brings a certain fire and charge to this creative dynamism. It's also Friday, Venus's day. Channel your creative energy intelligently. Move with it, dance with it, let it flow! What are you creating? Who are you creating it with? Saturday, May 14th Moon in 9th tithi Navami Moon transits Leo today and Magha nakshatra the majority of the day. Align with ancestral support today and ask for their guidance, resources and wisdom to hold you. That strength you feel? It is their gift to you. That weakness you feel? It is also their gift. Reach out and ask for them to help you align with your highest purpose. Late afternoon, Moon shifts to Venus's nakshatra, Purvaphalguni and desires increase. This is a sensual, creative and fertile star. It provokes creative power and the essence of spring time. It is alluring and sexual. What are you attracting, creating and drawing towards yourself? Be conscious about your manifestation powers. Where are you blocking and resisting this divine feminine wisdom? On May 14th at 04:48 MDT, Sun moves to one of its challenging signs, Taurus for the coming month. Ruling planet of this earth sign is Venus, the water planet that gives life and a fruitful existence- inside and out. As Sun transits through Taurus, expect the light to help you identify what is working and what needs to change. Be open to gather new resources and support as a result. Moon moves through the Sun's sign today and through the weekend, while Sun has just newly landed in Taurus. Expect an adjustment period to take place, with pushes and pulls, yes and no. The Sun will be working diligently with polarities in the coming month, so make note of this within your comfort zones- money, relationship, food, etc. Read more about Sun in Taurus in my Waxing Moon Horoscopes Sunday, May 15th Moon in 10th tithi Dashami Moon continues to transit Purvaphalguni nakshatra, ruled by Bhaga, the provider. As an Aditya, a form of the Sun god, he brings resources in life. Bhaga is particularly responsible for sharing wealth and happiness which he does through luck, fortune, fate and destiny. Bhaga's wife is Perfection (siddhi), while his children are Greatness (Mahiman), Power (Vibhu), Sovereignty (Prabhu) and Hope (Asi). As the Moon shifts into the latter half of the Phalguni stars early evening, Aryaman takes over. He is also an Aditya, however his wealth is connected to the physical body and that which sustains life, health and lineage. This is a Sun nakshatra, it is the day of Sun and Sun is still weak in degrees in Taurus. Pay attention to subtleties in your physical body today and through Monday. Honor your sensitivity and be gentle with your physical body needs. Let self care be a priority. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to Virgo, and the flavor within your inner realms shifts as well. Look for a mental body flavor and notice a sharpness arriving. Let this move you into creative acts and increased imagination. What are you creating for yourself, for your life? * All timing is in Mountain Daylight Time- one hour ahead of Pacific Time, one hour behind Central Time and two hours behind Eastern Time.

New Moon is at 13:30 MDT, while transiting the fierce star, Bharani nakshatra. This is Yama's domain and he requires restraint and simplicity, while also honoring vulnerability and strength simultaneously. He offers the ultimate relationship with transformation- through the death and dying process, as well as birth. The symbol of this nakshatra is the yoni, which signifies great beginnings. Birth after all, is a death process in and of itself. Bharani reminds us that death and life are one and the same, that unity, presence, and ultimately, simplicity, are the path of Yoga. Yama is quick to remind when you are not in alignment with Natural Law, nor in right-relationship with restraint and self control. This waxing Moon cycle promotes cutting away, butchering, anything that is keeping you from your purpose, path, dharma. Excess must be radically released, killed, transformed and ultimately simplified so that you are in deeper harmony with your truth. Extravagance in action, choices and energy will not be tolerated or respected by Yama. He requests simplicity in order for clarity. It is a powerful cycle, however, for those who are honoring and in alignment with their dharmic work and endeavors that support one's True Path. If you aren't aligned with this truth, you will be notified. Look for discomfort, challenges and obstacles as messengers. They are here to declare this misalignment and help you notice what needs to be released. In many ways this cycle is a radical birth process. But birth does not come without death. What doors are you opening consciously? What doors are you closing and honoring? You can't have one without the other. Too many doors open? Not enough closing? Yama will not tolerate this level of excess and lack of clarity. Make some decisions, make some choices, that determine closure. Where are you stuck in fear? Fear of a "wrong" choice? Choices help you prune and create new pathways. Keep stepping, keep moving, keep creating. Your work is to continue to be receptive to the creative process and re-create your life again and again. How are you honoring your Creative Powers? Bharani nakshatra's planetary ruler is Venus, supporting a connection to the creative wisdom of the Divine Feminine. Her power is aligned with the birth process and the many acts of creativity. Venus can bring life, or She can bring death. She can also bring life through death. She is the life force energy, Shakti, that moves through your being, sparking you alive, vital and potent. When Her forces dwindle, or they are squandered, the being dries up, moves towards death and loses its powerful life force energy. Align with your Creative Powers, your Shakti, life force energy, more consciously in this cycle. Where are you saying YES to life? Where are you saying NO? What actions, choices and relationships continue to move you towards death? Which ones move you towards life? Be direct, harsh and fearless in your actions. Move towards right-relationship with both life and death. The ancestors are here to support your process of awakening, dharma and wisdom. Call upon them for clarity, answers, guidance and resources. Be receptive to Spirit and the many gifts available through accessing your spiritual center. The ancestors are waiting for you to say yes to your path and purpose with strength and vigor. How do you honor them? Days after the new Moon, the most auspicious day of the year arrives, Akshaya Tritiya- when Sun and Moon are exalted simultaneously. It is said that only positive outcomes can emerge on this day, that there can be no harm. All actions will be fruitful and yield positive results. As the third tithi arrives (Tritiya) of the waxing phase, with exalted Sun and Moon, the power and energy will be palpable. Luck, success and powerful results occur when you align with the strength of this day. Akshaya Tritiya officially begins at 06:22 am MDT, once the Moon moves into the third tithi and ends as Moon shifts into the 4th tithi of the waxing cycle at 03:23 am MDT on Monday, May 9th. Moon will be transiting Rohini nakshatra the majority of the time, a highly creative star- connected to manifestation and ruled by Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma and his wife Goddess Saraswati, are the ultimate united team of manifestation, since Lord Brahma created the universe from his navel. Moon shifts into Mrigashirsha nakshatra, ruled by Soma, during the final portion of the Akshaya Tritiya festivities. On this day, take a powerful action step towards your desires, dharma and purpose. Step forward with confidence and clarity! Vishnu, the god of preservation in the holy trinity of Vedic gods, rules over Akshaya Tritiya. This year, it is also Parushuram Jayanti, the celebrated birth date of the 6th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Parushuram's role is to destroy the ignorance of those in power positions and those misusing their authority. He removes sin and exterminates those leaders who are misaligned with power and right-action. May 8th is also considered Mother's Day in the USA. May New Moon Creative Ritual My Creative Rituals are intended to support your transformation and healing process in the cycle to come. Each ritual is in alignment with the cosmic tides- in order to help you adjust, shift and move more fluidly in balance with Nature's rhythms. Recycle this ritual more than once for added benefits. * Amavasya, or the new Moon, is the moment during the cycle where Kali and Durga meet. Durga is all gods and goddesses in one form. Kali emerged from Durga's anger. Durga is the universal mother, Jagadambe, whereas Durga is a powerful force that has the power to fearlessly destroy. Both are expressions of the vast essence of the Divine Mother and her many strengths. Read more about the importance of the Moon. 1) Answer these questions in your journal: What am I opening to? What am I closing to? 2) Use craypas, paints, pencils or collage, to create your images. Create one image for Opening and another for Closing. What does this opening feel like for you? What does this closing feel like? What colors, shapes, textures arrive? Put this on paper. Create images that express the feeling of opening to and closing, using colors, textures and shapes. Allow at least 20 minutes at for these image to emerge. Title your images. 3) Movement exploration. With your images in front of you, take 5 to 10 minutes to move each image. How does your body respond to your opening image? Your closing image? Let your body move in response to the colors, textures, shapes and feelings provoked through your image. As you come to a pause, closing your exploration process, answer these questions: I sense I feel I imagine * All timing is in Mountain Daylight Time- one hour ahead of Pacific Time, one hour behind Central Time and two hours behind Eastern Time. Get the Details. This Week's Intention: Keep moving towards your soft, silent center. Notice the whispers of your soul and allow this inner wisdom to move you into being. Honor the closings and openings present. Say yes to forward movement by aligning with right-action. This new Moon week begins with depth and silence as four planets continue in retrograde motion. The inward pull is strong as the emotional body turns inward and multiple retrograde planets invite deeper internal excavation. Sun moving through its sign of exaltation, provokes intensified experiences with power, wisdom, awareness and truth- as well as conflict and challenge. Exalted planets express themselves outwardly, while retrograde planets do the opposite. With Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and Mercury all moving in reverse right now, there is a deep inner calling presenting itself. What part of you is being pulled inward? What part of you is being pulled out? The week finishes with a new Moon and the most auspicious day of the year. Set intentions and be prepared for action steps. Monday, May 2nd Moon in 11th tithi Ekadashi The week begins with Moon in close conjunction with Ketu, moving through Aquarius and Purvabhadra Nakshatra. Duality is strong today, yet there is great possibility for awakening the inner conflicts very consciously as a result. Aquarius exemplifies two paths, opposing forces- opens and closes. Ruling deity Ajaikapada strengthens the polarity dance with his "foot in two worlds" expression. He begins the release and transformation process that the latter half of this constellation, finishes off. Open the door of your awakening process. Notice where you are stepping forward and where you seem to be stepping backwards. Where is the tension between opening and closing? Saying yes and saying no? Tuesday, May 3rd Moon in 12th tithi Dvadashi Just as Tuesday begins, Moon moves to Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac, representing endings, release and liberation. Mid morning Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadra constellation, Uttarabhadrapada, ruled by Ahirbudhnya, serpent of the deep. He provokes deep inner investigation and inquiry, digging up hidden, unseen parts of ourselves in order to bring them to the surface, the light. Though Moon is outside of the drishti (gaze) of the other planets, the sign of Pisces is difficult for the emotional body. Notice the movement, change and flux and find a way to dance with the currents. Allow the changes, rather then resisting them. The mind will be challenged by the surrender. Find a way for both to harmonize. Wednesday, May 4th Moon in 13th tithi Trayodasi Mid morning, Moon shifts to Revati nakshatra, ruled by Pushan. Pushan ensures safe travels and fruitful endeavors as well as abundant resources along the way. Ruling planet is Mercury here, who is currently moving in reverse through Aries. Mind is hot, one-pointed and fixed on an outcome, goal and purpose. Notice where you're stuck in accomplishment at all costs. Leave room for surrender, release and honoring your process, rather than product. Mind wants outcome, to know with certainty. Your job is to find the balance between inner and outer, flow and structure. As Moon moves through the final sign of the zodiac, it's as though your inner intelligence has a foot in two worlds- endings and beginnings. What are you releasing and sending off? What are you opening to and inviting towards you? Thursday, May 5th Moon in 14th tithi Chaturdasi Moon leaps to Aries just after Thursday arrives, jump starting a new cycle with opens and arrivals. Where do you feel possibility enlivened? Where are you noticing release is necessary? As Moon moves into Aries, it joins exalted Sun, retrograde Mercury and Venus as well. All receive gaze from retrograde Jupiter and Rahu. Expansion comes with the opening, yet requires release and letting go in order to do so. Where are you resisting the release? Seek new resources and support today for your healing and awakening. New resources mean new results. The first nakshatra of the zodiac, Ashwini, supports your renewal process. Step forward! Moon moves to the final phase of the waning cycle in the evening. Surrender to the silence, the serene, unlimited peace within you. Find ways to pause, listen and check-in with your needs. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to the second nakshatra of the zodiac, Bharani. This fierce star brings Yama's restraint with him. Simplify tonight. Friday, May 6th Moon in 15th tithi Amavasya Moon moves through Bharani nakshatra today, sandwiched between Venus, exalted Sun and retrograde Mercury. The emotional body is vulnerable and charged. On this new Moon day, the inner realms will be activated and easily accessible. Access your inner wisdom with creativity, meditation, movement, dance and yoga. Move inwards, towards your Self and listen to the guidance in your silent, soft center. Take time for harvesting your inner wealth and honor the closing and beginning of another cycle. Read more about the new Moon and use my Creative Ritual for deeper harvesting. Moon moves from Bharani nakshatra to Krittika nakshatra early evening. Agni and his transformational energy takes over. Saturday, May 7th Moon in 1st to 2nd tithi Pratipad to Dvititya Moon transits krittika nakshatra, moving to Taurus just as the day begins. As Moon lands in its sign of exaltation, emotional body waves increase but with a certain softening effect. Krittika brings mixed results- both soft and hard. Ruling deity Agni brings a sacred transformational quality with him. He is responsible for change on all levels of your being, clarifying, awakening and healing in the process. All nourishment is digested and assimilated because of Agni, the fire of life. Retrograde Saturn and Mars give their drishti to the Moon over the coming days, bringing a certain heat and pressure with it. Notice how the emotional body feels with the tension of stop and start, yes and no. Saturn is the no, while Mars is the yes. How do you work with the energy of conflict that is arriving, your inner polarities? Early evening, Moon shifts to the powerfully creative star, Rohini. Lord Brahma and Saraswati bring their manifestation qualities to this nakshatra and allow abundant creative potential to take place. Sun and Moon are both exalted and in strong positions right now, leading up to Akshaya Tritiya on Sunday- the most auspicious day of the year. Plant your seeds and tend to your desires with action steps and purpose. Sunday, May 8th Moon in 2nd to 3rd tithi Dvitiya to Tritiya The most auspicious day of the year arrives with Moon and Sun both in their favorite signs of exaltation simultaneously. * All timing is in Mountain Daylight Time- one hour ahead of Pacific Time, one hour behind Central Time and two hours behind Eastern Time.
