This December Full Moon arrives on the 11th at 22:12 MT, while Moon travels through Taurus and Mrigashirsha Nakshatra. Moon's favorite sign is Taurus and truly loves this constellation of Soma where he is considered in his mulitrikona degrees, or his "office". Full Moon in Taurus supports earth magic in the cycle ahead so be clear on what you are manifesting and bringing into form. This is an important time to create something new. At the time of the full Moon, Mars, Mercury and Sun give their drishti to the Moon, creating sharp, clear and focused perception. Four planets are still navigating Sagittarius, including Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Ketu. Dharma and your spiritual path should be a strong focus right now. Move into right relationship with your dharmic path and purpose. Mrigashirsha nakshatra falls in Taurus and is ruled by the personification of Moon, the god Soma. From a Vedic perspective, the Moon is Soma itself, the divine nectar of life. From an Ayurvedic perspective, staring at a full Moon will allow you to soak up Soma directly and the Moon glow can even heal your eyes. A drink of Moon's Soma supports longevity, vitality and life force. The qualities of this constellation directly support increased Soma- on all levels of life. Soma is lord of the plants, giving them healing and nourishing qualities which are most potent in the waxing cycle. Symbolically, the constellation of Mrigashirsha correlates to the deer and its antlers. Traditionally, deer antlers were ground into a fine powder and used as an aphrodisiac. The quality of the deer and its antlers is constant movement and growth, branching out, extending, finding new green grass, new food sources, more abundance. Mrigashirsha is a soft, gentle constellation with fickle and changeable inclinations just like the Moon and the deer. This full Moon and the waning cycle ahead supports new growth, branching out, extending beyond your comfort zone and moving towards the new. Stagnation is a certain death for anyone born with this constellation placed prominently in their chart. A reminder to move in a new direction in the cycle ahead with conscious intention. Use this cycle to focus and align with your path, purpose and the direction you want to move in. Take action steps and be clear with your intention. Move in a life supportive direction. One that honors your growth, health, vitality and deepest desires. Look for and seek out opportunities that increase your nourishment. Open up new channels and pathways that support life. Expand and branch out. Are you moving in a direction that supports your nourishment? Where are you moving closer to your joy? Where are you moving further away from it? Where do you need to change direction or find a new path? Solstice arrives in the waning cycle ahead on December 21st at 21:19 MT. Considered a time when life seems to stop, or stand still, use this time for pause, meditation and silence. "The term Solstice comes from the Latin word solstitium, meaning 'the Sun stands still'. This is because on this day, the Sun reaches its southern-most position as seen from the Earth. The Sun seems to stand still at the Tropic of Capricorn and then reverses its direction. It's also common to call it the day the Sun turns around." - Via Time and Date As the still point arrives and the reversal of the light takes place, it is a powerful time for introspection and release. This is a time to attend to shadows, grief and undigested emotions. Clearing, purging and releasing lingering emotions from the past cycle will create space for the new, opening you to more life force in the months ahead. What needs to be cleared and released? What is undigested from the previous year, decade? What are you making space for in your life? In 2020, my complete Moon Wisdom offerings will only be shared in my Moon Wisdom Calendar. Coinciding with the still point of the year, the December Full Moon comes in with a powerful roar in Ardra nakshatra. Winter Solstice (in the Northern Hemisphere) occurs on December 21st at 15:23 MT, a time when life seems to stop, or stand still. As the darkness strengthens right now, lean closer. Lean into your fears, challenges, pain and grief. Let it speak to you. Honor its wisdom and validity Remember that ignoring your darkness only makes it stronger. Your capacity to feel the joy of life is determined by how much grief you have in your body. The natural cycles of darkness support the healing and release of grief within your body- if you honor and acknowledge it. Pay attention to your darkness and listen carefully. The Sun (light) has just left Scorpio, the darkest of the twelve signs. He's now in the gap between Scorpio and Sagittarius in a notorious gandanta- Mula. You may be feeling this instability and uncertainty surface in your life right now. Notice it and don't turn away. What changes are needed in order to find more ground? With all the layers of darkness present right now, it's an important time for honesty- with ourselves and others. As we arrive at the still point of the year, deep presence is possible. What are you noticing? What do you see? What are you acknowledging- even though it's hard to look at? Be courageous in your presence. Honor the dark wisdom arriving. Show up for yourself and your shadow. Be with your darkness so you can find the other side, the light. The December Full Moon occurs hours after the transition of the Sun, occurring on the 22nd at 10:48 am MT. This is a particularly powerful full Moon as it takes place in the portion of the sky ruled by the storm god, Rudra. He is notorious for big emotional expression- the release of grief through anger, tears and violence. He brings big waves within the emotional body and activates release, purging and destruction. Rudra rules the portion of the sky called Ardra nakshatra which falls within the sign of Gemini. This constellation is considered Tikshna, which means sharp and dreadful. It cuts, severs and attacks. It is particularly useful when harsh, destructive or painful actions must be taken. Though Ardra nakshatra can offer immense pain and suffering, the relationship with grief must be acknowledged here. Suffering intensifies when we resist the darkness, the struggles, the pain and losses we experience. The intensity of Ardra nakshatra (and Rudra) occurs when the powerful emotional body within is ignored, suppressed, avoided or disconnected. The violent inner storms increase when the waves are not attended to regularly, when they are not honored or acknowledged as normal, valid and valuable parts of the human experience. Ardra nakshatra invites (or forces) us to look at our challenging emotions, our grief, so that it can be released and cleared. On the other side of this grief is space to feel something else- equally as powerful. The waning cycle ahead is a request to lean closer to your own darkness and shadow. Your grief, losses and struggles. It's a call for help, a beckoning from your emotional body wisdom. Do you lean closer or do you keep resisting the pain? What needs are surfacing? What does your emotional body tell you it needs? What shifts, changes or adjustments need to be made in order to get your needs met? Need clarity for the year ahead? Wondering what direction to take? It reminds you that a boundary has been crossed, that something feels unfair, that you have been wronged in some way. When you experience anger, there is an opportunity to find clarity about your needs and step into your power with more purpose. Far too often though, anger becomes an unconscious reactive emotion that never gets to truly serve its purpose- to wake you up! Right now, the planet and particularly the United States, is being called into action. So many are feeling very old, deeply embedded anger and rage rise to the surface. You may be feeling anger as a result of your own personal mythology, as well as a result of the collective consciousness. Allowing your anger to move through you is potent medicine. But even more important than it's movement, is actually harvesting from this emotion. Understanding the deeper layers of your anger can help you awaken to needs, more nourishment and empowerment. What you don't want to do is suppress your anger, or use it in ways that harm yourself and others. Systemically suppressed anger can become depression- which is ultimately a result of resisting your power. Anger is in fact a resource for tapping into your power, purpose and dharma! Here Are Four Ways to Release Anger Right Now: #1: Anger is often a first response emotion. It can become an addiction to feel anger- especially if this is the way you learned how to feel and express. Anger happens to be the most socially acceptable emotion, so most people default to anger quite easily. Step number one is to get into the habit of checking in with the four levels of your being and do a self audit. This process can help you identify the experiences happening within your inner landscape so you don't disconnect from your body and emotions. Do A Self Audit #2: What are you angry about? Who are you angry at? Consider this your challenge. Now use my Challenge Creative Ritual to identify, move and transform your anger into potent awareness. #3: Move your anger safely. Release anger and rage by screaming, yelling, punching pillows, throwing things (without harming yourself or anyone/anything else) and stomping. Get the sound of your anger out in a safe, contained space. Let the emotion move out and through your body. #4: Tap and Rant. EFT is a powerful resource for moving emotions- especially anger. Tap on the heart point in the center of the chest or tap through the points as you speak your anger aloud. Don't hold back. Tapping through the points as you express your anger, will support its movement and release, without it getting stuck in your body. Need some extra support? Use my Tapping Meditation Podcast for Big Emotions. Hi Sensitive Souls!
I am on a mission to help sensitive souls (like you) clarify your inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with your purpose and leadership skills. We need you now more than ever! Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: [email protected] Are you wondering why you're not healing? Are you still feeling stuck and lifeless- despite your efforts? Do you feel like your healing process isn't working fast enough? Healing requires letting go and releasing. Without a willingness to let go, you won't have space for the new. Grief is a vital part of the process of transformation. Without the grieving process, there can be no space for life. Most people, however, are resistant to their grief on multiple levels. They resist feeling losses that build up on a day to day, year to year, season to season basis. They aren't purging their emotions regularly and do not have a relationship with their inner emotional body waves, cycles and rhythms. As the grief and undigested emotions pile up, the body gets clogged with grief and all the emotions that have not been processed. The more grief you carry in your body, the less life force you will have access to. I often remind my clients that your capacity to feel your grief determines your capacity to feel joy. Most of the clients who come to me start out feeling very disconnected. They tell me they have lost their desire for life, they feel numb, unhappy and lack clarity with their path and purpose. They struggle with relationships, feeling loved, seen and valued. They want to feel more passion for life! They want to have a direction, a purpose. They want to feel nourished, loved and supported. As they process and release the undigested grief in their bodies, space is created for more nourishment, joy and life. Through consistent grief work, my clients awaken new doors, new desires, more empowerment and creativity. This is what healing looks like! Grief is a powerful catalyst for change- when we know how to use it for healing, transformation and spiritual awakening. Please watch my Monday FB Live class. I discuss the importance of the grief process for healing and why so many people are sadly not healing and transforming. The most important thing about grief that most people do not know is that grief requires witnessing- in order to release and heal. In order to heal grief, it must become visible, seen, acknowledged. Grief can not be healed alone! It requires expression and voice. More importantly your grief must be witnessed by others in order to be fully digested and released. This is where most people lack the support and resources they need to fully heal. Every month I offer my clients grief rituals to support them in releasing with the waxing and waning Moon cycles. This month, I'm opening up our final 2018 ritual to the public- in honor of the Solstice. I am personally inviting you to join us for this powerful end of year ritual for release. PLEASE JOIN US! Attend to your emotional body wisdom and let your grief support clearing and letting go. Make space for the new and invite in more joy into your life! Be silent and listen." ~Rumi Moon is waning and the week begins with Moon in the 7th tithi, Saptami, half way through the dark half cycle. This phase of the Moon is Indra's domain, the god of the gods. His weapon of choice is a thunderbolt as he rules the rain, opening the clouds and controlling the nourishment of the earth. Consequently he is connected to powerful dharmic works. This is a Tikshna nakshatra- sharp and dreadful. In the USA, the Electoral College votes on Monday, the 19th. The Moon is under strong illusion today, while a theme of harsh action, confusion and Mental reversals arrive. Interesting timing for the vote to take place. Winter Solstice (for the Northern Hemisphere) occurs this week, which is a turning point in our orientation to the light- both inner and outer. For the Southern Hemisphere, there will be an increase of darkness, inward awareness. For the Northern Hemisphere, an increase of light begins, which begins to shift our attention externally. Themes of integration and balance continue this week as the Kala Sarpa Yoga effects awaken once again for a two week period of heightened extremes and deeper shadow work. . Moon continues through Leo, receiving gaze from Ketu, Mars, and Saturn, while in conjunction with Rahu. There is a lack of clarity and certainty about action steps today. Don't force outcomes, but take thoughtful action steps regardless. Moon is waning and half way through the emptying cycle now. Mars will break the Kala Sarpa yoga on the 28th of December, but won't officially leave Aquarius until January 20th. There is still extreme ups and downs, polarities and binary energy at play. Integration and harmonizing opposites and extremes is vital right now. As Moon transits Purvaphalguni, Bhaga, the god of resources and material enjoyment is enlivened. There's a tendency to overspend and over indulge right now. Watch how your shadows are impacting excess and extremes. This includes finances, eating habits, food, drugs and alcohol, as well as your relationships and behaviors. Seek simplicity, gentleness with yourself and others, as well as clarity with boundaries, and needs. Find more stability- inner and outer- rather than overwhelm through pushing or forcing outcomes and agendas. Mercury goes Retrograde in Sagittarius early this morning. This lengthy transit of Mercury in Sagittarius will last until February 3rd, an unusually long dance of forward and backwards for this swift moving planet. Mercury will retrograde on December 19th for roughly three weeks, until January 8th. This prolongs his stay in the fiery sign of Sagittarius, who is fortunately a friend. Retrograde planets increase the strength of the planet and its indications, expressing themselves more as the nodes do- with excess, confusion and intensity. This transit of Mercury impacts the mental body, the mind, stirring a change process that impacts relationships, money, the feminine and creative powers. The cycle ahead supports change towards nourishment, fluidity and ease. An ability to arrive in the love and stay oriented towards the heart is possible- with courage and commitment. Get clear on what works for you and what doesn't. Communicate your needs authentically and purposefully, but through loving kindness. Work towards clarity with your inner authority and notice when you go against your needs out of fear or a misuse of your power. Read more about Mercury in Sagittarius Tuesday, December 20th Moon in 8th tithi Ashtami Just as Tuesday arrives, Moon shifts into Uttaraphalguni, Aryaman's domain. Late morning, Moon moves to Virgo, joining Jupiter here and receiving gaze from Mars. Try not to force action steps, but be diligent with your choices and momentum. As an Aditya, Aryaman, provides resources- specifically to support the health and well being of the body. This connection to the physical body is a way to honor the ancestors and carry forward one's lineage. Aryaman also supports marriage and that which allows a relationship to be sustained, such as commitment, children and the inner work required to heal and grow together. This nakshatra shows a connection to repaying the ancestors. Honor, respect, connect and give gratitude to your ancestors today. Bring offerings to your altar and attend to your physical body as the maha altar of sustaining the legacy you are alive to bring forth. Notice omens, symbols and messages arriving from your ancestors. Mars moves to Satabisha nakshatra, moving closer to Ketu, who is still transiting this domain of the sky. There is deep healing possible, but only by cracking open and looking at the depth of your darkness. Do so with diligence, yet with gentleness and loving kindness, or there will be resistance to fully arriving in your truth, light and wisdom. The coming weeks provoke sparks of awakening, albeit through possibly painful and challenging encounters. Stay connected to body, breath and your inner truth. Seek integration, harmony, and above all, love. Wednesday, December 21st Moon in 9th tithi Navami Moon moves through Virgo and into Hasta nakshatra early morning. Savitr rules this constellation, bringing the dawning, the light, through greater wisdom and awareness. There is a new dawn arriving today. Look for the moments of awareness, move towards your truth, connect with your body and breath, find your grounding cord. Ask for guidance and support to help you unfold your truth. The first day of winter for the Northern Hemisphere (first day of Summer for the Southern Hemisphere) arrives on December 21st at 03:44 am MST. For those of us beginning the silence of winter, Solstice marks a powerful turning point. It is the darkest day of the year with the least amount of sunlight, creating the longest night. It is a still point in the season, inviting deep silence, pause and reflection on the past seasons. This is a powerful time to attend to release, letting go and purging of emotions and grief that have been undigested. Use this time to let go of your past cycles, that which has been stored in the bodies- in order to cultivate more space for the coming cycles. More light is to come! The days will continue to increase in length and strength, inviting in more brightness in the days and months to come. For the Southern Hemisphere, there will be an increase of darkness, inward awareness. For the Northern Hemisphere, an increase of light begins, which begins to shift our attention externally. Themes of integration and balance continue as the Kala Sarpa Yoga effects heighten extremes and deeper shadow work. . Vishvakarma rules this portion of the sky, bringing his creative powers to life. He is a powerful creator who supports the construction and creative process intimately. He likes action steps and grande plans, and he will support bringing your goals to life with diligent action steps. Chitra is ruled by Mars, the soldier, which expresses the power and focus possible here. Service and karma yoga are particularly aligned with this star's intention. Make your steps count today. Are they aligned with your highest truth, your dharmic purpose? Let everything else go. Allow dharma to be your highest calling, your highest truth. Organize around this. Late evening, Moon shifts to Libra. Integrate, harmonize, align. Friday, December 23rd Moon in 11th tithi Ekadashi The need for integrating polarities and extremes is enlivened today as Moon moves through the sign of balance, Libra. Late morning, Moon arrives in Swati nakshatra and great movement and momentum is stirred. Vayu, the wind god, rules this domain, offering change, illumination, dharma and a lack of grounding. Swati nakshatra has an easily changing nature and often a lack of grounding, landing and support. Vayu is a powerful force that, when on your side, can carry you great distances, like the wind in your sails. Can you ground even as you move? Can you land in your breath, even with such momentum? Can you pause and check, even when the winds are carrying you quickly? Don't get lost in the big gusts of wind, harness it and use it as your strength. Saturday, December 24th Moon in 11th to 12th tithi Ekadashi to Dvadashi The first half of the day is devoted to Swati's movement and momentum. Stay grounded as much as possible. Mid day Moon moves to Vishaka nakshatra and the dual god Indragni brings greater need for integration, harmony and balance between opposing forces. What needs to activate in order for more co-creation within your self and with others? Indra and Agni remind us that when multiple forces combine, the power is stronger, more sustainable. This process of integration and harmonizing is supported through an alchemical transformation process, as opposing forces come together. Notice your resistance to syncing with your inner power. Who are you when you say yes to your power, fully? Where are you saying no to your highest truth, light and power? How can you step towards your empowerment with more clarity and ease? Sunday, December 25th Moon in 12th tithi Dvadashi Late morning, Moon arrives in Scorpio, its debilitation sign and into conjunction with Saturn, planet of grief. The next few days require slowness, stillness and introspection, especially as the new Moon approaches. Continue to find integration, alignment and harmony between opposing forces, as Vishaka rules the day. Late afternoon, Moon shifts into Anuradha nakshatra, Mitra's domain. As an Aditya, Mitra brings resources and support- usually through friendship and alliances. Who and what are you aligning with? Anuradha can get overly focused on details at times, so try to stay with the big picture. For many, it is Christmas Day. Seek harmony and connection today, while honoring your grief and emotions intentionally. Spend time in silence, with body and breath. Set intentions for being in relationship with self and others at this time. What do you need to feel supported and honored? Monday, December 26th Moon in 13th tithi Trayodasi Moon continues through its debilitation sign, Scorpio, and through Anuradha nakshatra. Mitra brings deeper connections through friendships, alliances and support. As an Aditya, he is a form of the Sun, bringing resources in the form of relationships. With Moon conjuncting Saturn right now, there is a need to look at grief, personal and ancestral, that may be hindering your ability to connect on deeper levels. There is an uprooting taking place that will allow you to release and let go of parts of yourself that are no longer serving you. This includes relationships and connections that are not aligned with your hightest needs. Allow the release to take place. Why might you be resisting the letting go? Who are you when you no longer have painful relationships in your life? What does your life look like when you are aligned with those who fully love and honor you? Early evening Moon arrives in Jyeshtha nakshatra and Indra brings his strength, tenacity and clarity. Pause and check in with your inner needs. Tuesday, December 27th Moon in 14th tithi Chaturdasi Moon moves into exact conjunction with Saturn today, provoking grief, hardship and pain to rise to the surface. Both planets are navigating Jyeshtha nakshatra right now, Indra's domain. Let grief release, find channels to let the emotional body move and stay close to the physical body. Saturn is also the container, the body, of the cosmic self. As the Moon magnifies the grief of Saturn today and the dynamics of the mental body in Jyeshtha nakshatra, it's important to not get lost in the confusion and overwhelm. Stay close to your body and breath, in order to harvest your needs. Find stability within the body, but surf the emotional body waves diligently. Get clear on what is mind stuff (chitta vritti) and what is emotions. These bodies are very different and have very different needs, but so often get intertwined, sparking confusion, intensified pain and suffering. What does your emotional body need right now? What does your mental body need? What does your physical body need? What does your spiritual body need? * All timing is Mountain Standard Time.

In the coming weeks and months, there will be an increase of Ketu's cutting energy. Ketu is the tail of the serpent who brings release, cutting of attachments and forced letting go. He brings liberation, ultimately, but usually not without pain. He can also show you specifically where there is trauma in your natal chart, as his detachment causes disconnection on multiple levels- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Get an overview of the coming months and what to expect with the big changes ahead. Mercury in Sagittarius Just as November comes to a close, Mercury transits into Sagittarius and into Mula nakshatra for an extended stay on November 28th. The entire transit will last until February 3rd, an unusually lengthy dance of forward and backwards for this swift moving planet. As Mercury arrives in Sagittarius at the end of November, he also lands in Mula Nakshatra. This constellation is notorious for sparking change, transition, release and uprooting. As the planets continue to move through this portion of the sky (Sun next, then Saturn in the first part of 2017) inevitable shifts take place. Mercury will be in Mula for a lengthy stay in the coming months, moving in and out of this challenging gandanta of change. Mercury will leave Mula for the first time on December 8th, but will return on December 28th for over three weeks, until January 21st of 2017. The dance of Mercury in and out of Mula, will provoke deep mental body changes and challenges in the coming months. This is a powerful opportunity for uprooting old, outdated personal mythology with all things Mercury. This includes communication, connections, commerce, business, money, creativity, writing, computers and all resources of connection. Use this cycle to step into your creative powers more fully and bring more beauty into your home and heart. Seek balance- inner and outer. Move closer to your emotional body and deepen your feminine wisdom. Say yes to integration of fluidity and structure. Find your middle ground. Land and reconnect. New Moon in Scorpio Just as the month comes to a close, the Moon empties. On November 29th at 05:18 Mountain Standard Time, the new Moon arrives in Scorpio and Anuradha nakshatra. Moon is debilitated and sits with Sun and Saturn in the sign of depth, transformation and the hidden realms. Debilitated Moon turns inward, softens the expression of the Moon and requests deep contemplation. This coming waxing cycle brings changes in creativity and courage while the passion of the heart strengthens and awakens convictions and empowerment. Venus in Capricorn Venus arrives in Capricorn at 05:53 am MST on December 2nd, joining exalted Mars here. Jupiter gives his gaze from Virgo, supporting some extra benevolence and communication. Without Rahu's drishti (gaze) on Venus, there will be more clarity, focus and strength with relationships, comforts, ease and grace. Mars and Venus are a dynamic pair, often bringing great courage with co-creation and connection. This 25 day transit of Venus will bring more creative courage and dynamism with hands, the arts, expression and connection. The first 10 days of this transit may increase challenges with the same- especially relationships. Watch the tone of your self expression and try to stay rooted in compassion and loving-kindness. Even if there seems to be aggression coming towards you. You may notice confusion in the coming days between thoughts and feelings, mind and emotions. Try to clarify which body is driving the big waves. This cycle brings a desire for co-creation and collaboration, while presenting challenges with the same. Sustain connections through compassion and loving kindness, even though passions may be high. Think about your words before speaking to avoid conflict and excess confusion. Be clear about what you need to say before doing so. This includes communication with work and personal relationships. Immense movement and shifts can come with this cycle- mentally, emotionally and physically. Take empowered action and lead from the heart. Activate your creative power and use your hands and embodied dance to align more fully with your desires. Mars in Aquarius Mars moves to Aqurius on December 11th at 05:54 am MST, joining Ketu here. Both receive direct gaze from Rahu which will instigate a certain closing of the Kala Sarpa Yoga effects. No doubt there will be an intensification of the rocky past few months as Mars nears exact conjunction with Ketu on December 27th. There will be some final release and forced letting go as a result of these two fiery planets conjoining in the sign of duality. There may be confusion about how to integrate porlarities and extremes until Mars shifts to Pisces on January 20th. Mars is the warrior planet- not a thinker, but an action taker. He does not lead with his mind or his heart, but with his action-oriented approach to life. "Doing" is his claim to fame. Ketu brings cutting, sudden shifts and changes, awakening through release, as well as trauma through sudden loss. He is the tail of the serpent energy that Rahu instigates. As the Kala Sarpa Yoga comes to a close with this Mars cycle, expect themes with polarities to present themselves more aggressively. This is a time of radical integration and alignment with your True Self. Who are you beyond the confusion, uncertainty and extremes? Rahu's gaze promises confusion and deception to be a part of the story, but your job is to find the your center- beyond right and wrong, black and white. Can you feel your way through the uncertainty? You body will be an important resource for navigating the extreme landscape. Stay close to the body and breath. Stay close to feelings and sensations to ground you. Read more about the Kala Sarpa Yoga effects Full Moon in Taurus The December Full Moon is on the 13th at 17:05 MST. Moon is in its mulitrikona sign, a great place for emotional expression and connection. Full Moon in Taurus and Mrigashirsha nakshatra brings reaching and extending into new territory and resources in the coming cycle. Branch out and seek new nectar for your soul. Attract more of what you need. Go out on a limb and try something new. Be bold in your action steps. Watch for fickle and flighty responses. Try to follow through and stick to your word. You may find yourself in challenges where you were not clear about your needs and intentions. Focus. Sun in Sagittarius Sun shifts out of Saturns energy, away from conjunction with this heavy, planet of grief, on December 15th, arriving in Sagittarius at 08:02 am MST. As our light source lands in this fire sign, he enters the challenging gandanta of Mula. There are only three of these junction points in the zodiac, but this is a particularly important one- notorious for uprooting and chaos. This is an important two week period for the masculine, ego and sense of empowerment. Expect deep transformation, uprooting and release on the levels of your masculine self- as well as with the male relationships in your life. This is a restructuring phase and will impact how your relate, as well as who you relate to. For months there have been an intesification of masculine themes and confrontation with male based ego, the weak masculine and excess aggression. This is an opportunity to align with masculine parts of yourself that are more about right-relationship, conscious relating and deep intention for integration and balance. Use this time to uproot that which is not serving you, that which is overtly aggressive- towards yourself and others. As you release the pain and the parts of yourself that are no longer serving you, let this month bring you back to a deeper sense of harmony and inner trust. Find clarity with your true nature, your essence and your divine feminine wisdom. Step into your power more firmly and declare your sense of self more firmly. Use this time to let go of your past cycles, that which has been stored in the bodies- in order to cultivate more space for the coming cycles. More light is to come! This air sign is dual ruled by both Rahu and Saturn. Venus joins Ketu and Mars here, while Rahu gives his gaze 7 houses away. This is a highly transformational cycle for Venus- the planet of love, beauty, the feminine and all creative acts. Your ability to transform and change, will determine the success you experience in the weeks ahead. Stagnation and resistance to change will bring challenges, confusion and pain- especially with relationships and your power. A deeper level of letting go is required for you right now- in order to allow more nourishment and clarity in the coming days and weeks. Get clear on your offering to the world. Who are you working with? Why? What is your purpose? It's time to make connections and step boldly into the world. Share your wisdom and connect with more empowerment. This will require that you let go of the parts of you that keep you in the dark. What is holding you back from true greatness? Let it go or you'll be left in the dark. Your true power lies in integrating your shadow and light, your polarities. Align and harmonize the parts of you that are in conflict with your greatness. Lean closer to your shadow rather than resisting it. New Moon in Sagittarius The December New Moon is the 28th at 23:54 MST as Moon moves through Sagittarius and Purvashada Nakshatra. This is a cycle of healing through awakening, inner wisdom and seeing the light. Relationships will be a particularly important part of this healing process. Release anger and resentment. Get clear on your needs and focus on what you do have control over, not what has left you feeling depleted and stuck. Deepen your inner growth and awareness. Be courageous in your release of past pain, grief and undigested emotions. Clean and clear the heart. Focus on what you want to create and set intentions for the coming cycle. * All timing is Mountain Standard Time. HoroscopesAries: This is a powerful time for your career and relationships. Step forward with action, purpose and clarity. Gather your gains. Use this time wisely as there is much strength to build upon right now. Mid month, luck becomes yours as Sun moves into your 9th house- the most auspicious house of the chart. You may be asked to re-visit some old stories and personal mythology in order to capitalize on the gains right now. Due diligence is required with mind and mental body stories so you can maximize this cycle. Use it as a clean up phase and step into your power more consciously. Taurus: The heart and home continue to be unclear and unstable. This is a request to look more closely at your confusion and uncertainty, your inner shadows. Relationships are instigating the chaos. What do you really need for support, stability and grounding? Get clear on your needs so you can be clear on what to ask of others. This requires some deep introspection and inner work. You’ve been learning a lot and seeking new resources. It’s now time to put that knowing into action and strengthen your purpose. Let your anger be a teacher. Gemini: Allow your heart and home to continue to teach you about relationships and co-creation. Your career and creativity are going through deep transformations. Let this process be empowering rather than debilitating. Clarify your needs with others and clear away the parts of you that are stuck, stagnant and outdated. Your personal mythology is going through an overhaul, but this requires willingness to release and let go. Learn from your pain and let it be a messenger of strength and courage. Cancer: Relationships bring both power, passion and anger. Look more closely at your responses and notice where you are stuck in victim. There is healing to be done on your disempowerment. You often let your emotions keep you stuck in old patterns, stories and behaviors. It’s time to clean up these places within your emotional body landscape and take your power back. Use frustrations with relationships as a resource for personal growth and inner awakening. You are not stuck! Be courageous and step towards your challenges- not away from them. Leo: Confusion and inner turmoil are becoming the norm for you. There’s a storm in your head. Can you channel this power effectively without it taking you down? What does it feel like to be in right-relationship with your inner power? Get clear on how to channel this strength so that you can be more aligned with your empowerment. Relationships will request your diligence in the cycle to come. Let your anger be a resource of teaching for you. Where are you being unclear about your needs and boundaries? Plug any leaks and quit giving your power away unconsciously. Virgo: Deep inner learning continues as you awaken your self wisdom. Relationships are part of this steep learning curve. Can you find the nourishment, or are you too stuck in your old pain? In order for more nourishment and strength, you must be willing to lean into your heart more closely. Take what you are learning and apply it to deeper listening, greater clarity about your needs, and inner healing. The trick for you is to keep softening, rather than becoming more rigid and hard. Don’t use the wisdom arriving to create more walls. Instead use what you are learning to awaken compassion and loving-kindness for yourself and others. Libra: Heart burn is real and it’s impacting you greatly right now. What is not digesting and where are you resisting your emotional body pain? It’s vital that you look more closely at your painful stories, relationship wounds and personal mythology. The lack of nourishment arriving is old, systemic inner resistance. You must be willing to look at your shadow more closely in order to change these old patterns and behaviors. This resistance to being well fed by life and love is keeping you in the dark. This will take courage on your part, but lean in closer to the pain rather than pushing past it. Notice where you disempower yourself, rather than taking ownership. Scorpio: Gains come from speaking and honoring your word. Clarify your needs for greater nourishment and ask directly. You have been experiencing great hardships and grief over the past many months. Keep simplifying and letting go of the frivolous parts of yourself. This is a time of clarifying the essentials for yourself, your life and your relationships. As you clarify and clear your heart, it strengthens. Release undigested emotions and grief. Don’t rush to fill the spaces you are creating within. Linger in the simplicity and silence. Sagittarius: A clarifying process is taking place right now that supports more inner wisdom and purpose. How do you want to use your power? Step into your authority and quit waiting to be asked or given permission. Be courageous with your actions, choices and wisdom. Share what you know and allow your wisdom to be an offering to others. There’s still a need to be in isolation and retreat, a resistance to stepping out of your own shadows and hiding. What is holding you back from your greatness? From you sharing your greatness with others? Look closely at the grief that keeps you in the dark. Capricorn: There’s a lot of power sitting in your head right now as Mars exalts in your first house. Once Mars shifts to your 2nd house on the 11th, the mouth and nourishment become a strong focus. You are learning a lot about yourself right now and rising to the occasion. Try to do this in a balanced, embodied way. Integrate the stops and starts, the polarities at play. There is resistance to looking closer at yourself, and simultaneously an addiction to your self loathing and pain- especially with regard to relationships. Get clear on your boundaries and personal needs. Say “no” more, and clarify your interactions. As you get into right-relationship with your own body, you will naturally be in right-relationship with others. Cut out bad habits with food and old patterns of systemic malnourishment. Aquarius: Structure and clarity are important right now. Use this as a way to get your needs met in more powerful ways. Where are you stuck in confusion and uncertainty? How does this undermine your sense of purpose and power? Relationships are still particularly challenging. What you’re learning is how to clarify yourself and your own needs in concrete ways. Keep leaning closer to your self. Use this time for deep release and letting go. Notice how your anger at others is really just anger at yourself. Where can you be clearer about your needs? How can you be more direct about asking for your needs to be met? Pisces: Relationships hold great resources for your inner growth. What are you learning from others? Your willingness to lean in closer to your challenges in the coming month will support gains and expansion. Notice when you resist your power and when you hand over your power to someone else too quickly. What choices, actions and relationships disempower you? You can take your power back at any time. Get clear on what it feels like to stand in your power more fully and don’t hand over your inner knowing, your precious wisdom, so easily.
