Awakening your dharmic path is not a linear process. It doesn't occur in a straight line or in a way that even seems logical. As a result, I often hear clients confused, frustrated, uncertain and fearful that their path is not unfolding properly. They doubt that they have found their dharmic path, which can often derail them from ever moving forward. Do you ever have doubts? Do you doubt your gifts and wisdom? Do you doubt if you are on path, or off path? Do you doubt if the challenges you are facing are keeping you stuck and disconnected? Do you doubt if you're making progress? It's important to realize that your dharmic path has many phases, steps and transformational experiences along the way. This is a life long process. You only have one soul purpose. Each phase of the journey is supporting the path as a whole. Each part of the journey is unique. If you know how to use each phase of the growth process, it can keep you connected to your path for the long term- and trust your steps. Without the ability to trust your path, your gifts and wisdom, you can get lost in adharma- that which goes against dharma. Consciously choosing to connect with your path and purpose is key. This takes commitment and a willingness to show up- even when its hard. What phase of your dharmic path are you in right now? What phases of this journey have you already completed? The Durga Phase of the Dharmic Path: 1) Challenge. This phase of the journey is often wrought with crisis, turmoil, grief, or hardship of some sort. When you are in a challenge portion of the process, it can be a powerful catalyst for major life change and growth. It can also keep you stuck for days, weeks, years, or lifetimes. Are you addicted to the turmoil and chaos? Or do you know how to use challenge as a life-changing catalyst? Every challenge has a gift. You must learn how to use challenge as a change agent- so that it becomes a resource for powerful growth. 2) Release. There is no possibility for gain without letting go of something. Release, loss, death are all necessary and vital parts of the transformation and healing process. When we let go of something, we are creating space. Space for something new. If you are not willing to let go and experience loss, you will never have the space to receive what you truly need and desire. One of the most powerful parts of the dharmic path is learning how to grieve and be in right relationship with your emotional body. 3) Resistance. Most people are afraid of powerful life change- even if it means life will be better than they can imagine. Fear keeps you resistant to moving forward, creating something new, manifesting your needs, allowing the nourishment to flow. Fear and resistance are one and the same. When you are not in right relationship with your fear, it will create resistance to moving forward, resistance to clarity, resistance to awakening your gifts and wisdom. One of the biggest forms of resistance I encounter with clients is a fear of success, a resistance to actually creating what they truly want in their lives. Resistance and fear can keep you stuck your entire life- unless you are willing to face it directly and awaken its gifts. Lakshmi Phase of the Dharmic Path: 4) Growth. Sometimes you allow the growth to take place, sometimes the growth is forced upon you. Either way, growth is asking you to move in a different direction, to expand. I often tell clients to move in the direction of their nourishment. Whatever nourishes you will be life supporting. True dharma creates deep nourishment on all levels of life. Are you moving towards your nourishment or away from it? Growth and change go hand in hand. Don't resist your own growth. 5) Desire. All growth comes from some desire- conscious or unconscious. Your desires are powerful- and the key to manifestation. Desire is what brought you into human form and desire is what supports your evolution. Without desire there is no growth, change, transformation- or even healing. Let your desires be the spark that supports the life changing results you truly want. Make sure your action steps align with your desires. Desire is a good thing! 6) Abundance. When you are able to receive the nourishment that life has to offer, you will feel abundant. Receiving is key to feeling the abundance of Nature whether it's more vitality, money, love, nourishment, creativity or any of the other blessings of Lakshmi. Are you in right relationship with receiving? Does your body feel safe to receive the nourishment of life? Receiving can not be forced. Life sustaining nourishment comes when the body feels safe to receive. Always work on creating safety within- so that the body can naturally begin to receive the nourishment it truly needs. What helps you feel safe? Saraswati Phase of the Dharmic Path: 7) Creativity. Ideas, imagination, and creativity are powerful forces of transformation and change. This entire existence was, and is, a result of creative life force energy. What are you creating in your life? Consciously direct your creative powers. Your immense human imagination is capable of creating whatever you desire. How are you using your creative powers? In order for your life path to unfold, you must be willing to honor your creativity, imagination and ideas with consistent action steps. Manifestation skills are directly connected to creativity and innovation. 8) Learning. The dharmic path requires a willingness to expand, learn, and grow. You must be willing to gather new insights, wisdom, tools and support along the way. Are you seeking out guidance for your path? Or are you trying to do it all alone? Acquiring wisdom and guidance for the journey is nonnegotiable, but you also must know when and how to trust yourself and your own inner wisdom. This requires balance with inner and outer seeking. What have you learned on your journey so far? Do you trust your inner wisdom, or are you still seeking all your answers outside of yourself? Dharma requires deep self trust and the ability to listen to your inner wisdom. 9) Connection. Dharma is not a lonely journey, meant to be done in isolation and no contact with others. You are a householder- meaning that your dharmic path includes others in some capacity. True dharma is reciprocal. When you share your gifts and wisdom with others, they benefit as well as you. Connection, co-creation, expansion, and relationship are vital for the path of dharma to fully blossom and unfold. When you are willing to share your light with others, the whole world becomes enlightened. You must be willing to touch lives in meaningful ways or your dharmic path will not unfold and grow- and neither will you! Connection supports your ability to awaken through learning and wisdom. All parts of the dharmic path are important. You will move in and out of these phases in a non-linear way. You will circle back and through these steps over and over again along your life path. You may touch parts of this phase continuously throughout your journey, and revisit each phase more than once. The important thing is that you must keep moving on not get stuck. Honor where you find yourself on the path right now, but continue to grow, change and transform. This requires seeking out guidance and support from those that understand the dharmic path- while also deepening your self trust and your own ability to hear your inner wisdom. Dharma requires skill in action, strengthening your gifts and wisdom- and sharing it with others so the whole world benefits. Where do you find yourself in this process? What needs are surfacing? What is feeling nourishing and supportive? Where are you stuck or stagnant? Don't forget to ask for help and be willing to try something new. Just as December begins, the Full Moon arrives on the 3rd at 08:47 am Mountain time. Moon is transiting its mulitrikona degrees in Taurus and the creative star, Rohini at the time of fullness. Taurus supports the Moon with grounding, creativity and themes of nourishment. Rohini is extremely creative and brings desires into manifest form. The coming waning cycle requires deep release and uprooting in order to make space for the new. What are you wanting in your life that has not yet arrived? What space do you need to create in order to make room for the newness? Both Ketu and Mars give their gaze to the tender and sensitive Moon- which represents the Emotional Body. Expect sudden emotional release in the coming weeks- especially anger, rage and passion. The Moon will be extra fragile and sensitive to trauma. The emotional body is thawing out, releasing past trauma and numbness. Pay attention to your emotional sensitivity. Use clear boundaries, express your needs, release emotions carefully and don't let your feelings get bottled up. This cycle brings a powerful uprooting in the psycho-emotional body that also impacts the physical body directly. Grief is being released in a variety of ways and through a variety of emotions. It needs to be released from the body so support this process. Remember that this release is creating space for the new. You must make room for the nourishment that you seek. Where are you stuck, frozen or numbing your emotional body? Where are you feeling disconnected from your body and its wisdom? Support the release of emotions through art, music, song, dance and writing. Of the holy trinity of gods in the Vedas, Lord Brahma is the Creator. Because of him, visions, dreams and desires become manifest form. Lord Brahma (and his wife goddess Saraswati by default) are the ruling energies of Rohini nakshatra. Lord Brahma created the universe and it sprung forth from his naval. Thus Rohini is immensely creative and skilled at manifesting. Goddess Saraswati rules over the arts, wisdom, music and technology and brings her influence to this nakshatra as well. This constellation supports desires coming into fruition, as well as increases resources and creativity. Clarify your desires and take action steps to bring them into fruition. Use the coming weeks to create. Set big goals for the months ahead. Start moving towards your desires now. Use the arts to inspire creativity and life force energy. Move towards nourishment and identify where you are resisting your needs for more money, vitality, life force energy, passion and purpose. Are you moving closer to your goals and desires, or further away from them? Are you aligning with your inner wisdom or choosing adharma- going against your dharmic path and purpose? Send me a message to see if I have any openings: [email protected] This Week's Intention: Release, let go, transform, liberate, heal. Repeat. Moon continues to wax as the sacred nine day celebration of Navaratri continues to unfold. The week begins with the last day of three dedicated to Ma Durga. Cutting, clearing and transformation abound! What are you releasing and letting go of? Work actively this week to change and release that which is not serving you on the psycho/emotional levels of your being. The coming days offer support from exalted Mercury. This is a short window of time to accomplish tasks, clarify needs and take potent action steps. Make hay while the Sun shines (literally- Sun will be debilitated later this month, becoming dim and inward). As you enter the sacred gap of time that is the 10 day Navaratri celebration, notice what's arriving. I have experienced that the first three days of Navaratri initiate the changes and transformations you are working with in this release cycle. Often you must confront challenges and obstacles as a result. More nourishment and support is coming, but you can't receive it without this important step. What is arriving? What parts of your personal mythology are showing up as a mirror for you? How can you clear more space within? Let Durga's fierce warrior energy initiate and provoke awareness. Read more about the power of Navaratri Monday, October 3rd Moon in 3rd tithi Tritiya Swati nakshatra continues to bring powerful changes to feelings and emotions. Ruling Deity of Swati nakshatra, Vayu, the wind god, invites in swift movement and change. Whether it's a gentle breeze or huge gusts, winds of change are ushering in transformation. What are you tracking within your own personal landscape? Use your emotional body as a resource for discerning your needs. What is working? What is not? What resources and support are you missing? Late evening, Moon moves to Vishaka nakshatra. It is the third day of Navaratri and the third day and night dedicated to Ma Durga. Recite Durga mantras and listen to Chandi Path recitations for extra support. Today, use connection and integration as a way to transform. Dual gods, Indra and Agni rule over Vishaka and instigate the need for partnership and co-creation. Agni, the ultimate transformational element provides the spark for change. What are you burning and releasing? Allow the strength of Indra to supply you with the power you need to awaken your inner wisdom. Clarify, purify, release. Mercury moves back into its favorite sign, Virgo today. As he re-enters his sign of exaltation, he joins Jupiter and Sun as well. At this point, we may finally get the positive effects of an exalted Mercury, with the expansive wisdom of Jupiter and the illumination of the Sun to support the awareness. A strong mind will bring more clarity, purposeful communication and potent resources. For the benefits of exalted Mercury to be felt, it will require patience and strong intentions. Stay true to your direction and continue to take action towards goals and desires. Increased financial support will come with your diligence. Work consistently and pro-actively on clearing limiting beliefs and mental/emotional blockages during this cycle- all that is hindering your ability to step more powerfully into financial abundance. Gather resources and support for this process. Jupiter will be activating your expansion, but only with the right guidance and support. Tuesday, October 4th Moon in 4th tithi Chaturthi Moon continues through Vishaka nakshatra today, increasing the need for co-creation and collaboration. Gather, collect, connect, get support. What resources are you missing for more nourishment and holding? More guidance and wisdom? Say yes to what you need. Where are you blocking this receptivity? Where are you not allowing in what you need? Notice your inner battle with power and step into your vulnerability. Late afternoon, Moon moves to Scorpio, its sign of debilitation, joining Saturn here. As Moon and Saturn conjoin, grief and emotion are released. Where are you suppressing, avoiding or resisting this natural process? What undigested grief are you holding onto? What unprocessed losses continue to impact you- consciously and unconsciously? Late evening, Moon shifts to Anuradha nakshatra and Mitra brings his support through friendship, connection and relationship. He allows deeper connection to take place. Where are you resisting feeling, connecting, allowing and aligning with love? Hint: resisting your grief will keep you from being able to feel more love. It is the first day of three dedicated to Maha Lakshmi in the Navaratri celebration. It is a time of gathering resources for deeper nourishment- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Lakshmi will be soothing you in the coming days. A washing of your wounds will take place. Her abundance, nurturing, and wealth offer nourishment and support to us on all levels of life. Health is the ultimate wealth and Lakshmi brings this support at this time. Be receptive and receive her gifts. During the three days of Lakshmi, bring sweets and flowers to your altar, cook nourishing foods for your Self, decorate and adorn your body, the physical temple. This is a time to focus on self care diligently. Listen to Chandi Path recitations and use rituals that honor Lakshmi's nourishment and abundance. Did you miss my *free* Class? This is a powerful time to release undigested, unprocessed grief. Ruling planets of Scorpio, Mars and Ketu, provoke deep clearing, cutting and purging of embedded emotions. Mars is still moving through the challenging constellation Mula, which is dedicated to uprooting and harsh release. Ketu is transiting Satabisha nakshatra, a constellation that offers depth, healing and intense confrontation with the shadow. Be gentle with yourself today and tomorrow as your darkness will be meeting the light, coming to the surface- your conscious awareness. Use resources, gather support and take action steps that help you get your needs met. Consider this a wake up call. Thursday, October 6th Moon in 6th tithi Sashthi Just as Thursday begins, Moon moves to Jyeshtha nakshatra, in exact conjunction with Saturn. Mind and emotions will be feeling the pressure directly today. Indra will be provoking high sensitivity, while simultaneously bringing depth, power and clarity. How do you use this wisdom for empowerment, rather than self destruction? Honor your senses today and avoid over stimulation. Spend extra time with Nature and stay as close to the body as possible. Get embodied, rather than letting the mind win the battle. It is the third day of three dedicated to Maha Lakshmi in the Navaratri celebration. This is a gandanta point, a gap, which is notorious for being extremely challenging. Moon conjuncts Mars here, and receives gaze from Rahu, which heats and agitates the emotional body. It can also bring powerful experiences of the Divine Mother. The entire constellation of Mula is considered a gandanta point which can feel very ungrounded, overwhelming and traumatic. Ruled by Ketu, this nakshatra is notorious for disconnection. Its symbol is a bundle of roots. Uprooting is synonymous with Mula nakshatra. Consider today as a potent day of change and transformation. This process will likely be uncomfortable and challenging. Release is often painful. What are you releasing and letting go of? What grief and big emotions have you been avoiding, resisting? Now is the time to allow the flow, the waves, the crash. Trust you will find your way back to shore. For now attend to the letting go. Seek illumination, resources, answers and explanations. UttaraAshada is ruled by the Vishva Devas who seek right action and dharmic alignment. Where are you honoring your dharmic path? Monday, October 10th Moon in 10th tithi Dashami Just as Monday begins, Moon arrives in the six degree range of Capricorn and moves into the sacred 28th nakshatra, Abhijit. This is a spiritual gap that supports healing, awakening and resources that support the inner realms. Use this time for aligning with your inner knowing and inner abundance. Rest, meditate, restore. Use the space you've created over the past days of clearing and cutting away the excess, with intention. What seeds are you planting? How do you want to honor this new space? Let your creative life force energy fully awaken. This is a very poignant time in the Navaratri celebration. A time of closures and completion. As moon shifts into Sravana nakshatra late morning, Vishnu arrives with his dharmic support. He brings alignment and clarity with your path and purpose. Pay attention to how he arrives and what resources he offers you. Expansion and awakening are happening right now. The extent to which you have been clearing and cleaning out the shadow recently, will determine the space in which you have to receive the gifts. Make room for more. Continue to attend to goddess Saraswati and her wisdom today, until midday. As Moon shifts into the 10th tithi, Dashami, around noon, the inner battles begin to find their resolution. The 10th tithi (Moon phase) is aligned with dharma and right action. Aryaman is the ruling deity, who connects to the ancestors and carrying forth the lineage. Once Moon lands in Dashami, there is a 24 hour cycle that enlivens Durga's victory over the demon Mahishasura. The battle between light and dark, good and bad, masculine and feminine, transformation and healing, is finding closure within you right now. Polarities begin to integrate and find harmony. Notice how this arrives within physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Where do you feel this gentle balance arriving within your body? Listen to its wisdom? Use rituals to support your integration process, especially those that include breath and embodiment. Tuesday, October 11th Moon in 11th tithi Ekadashi Vijaya Dashami, the day of victory, continues today until Moon shifts into the 11th tithi midday. Celebrate the power of Durga and her fierce energy of awakening. She represents the light within and this resource will always win over the shadow and darkness. We need the darkness to arrive into the light; both must be honored equally as they support the nature of each other, they express the wisdom of Nature and her laws. Day brings night, and night brings day. Death is life and life is death. Today, Durga overtakes the demon Mahishasura, representing this powerful truth within us and within Nature! Notice clarity, resources, peace, wisdom and unification arriving. Use rituals that support your integration and alignment with Nature. Spend time outside touching the earth and finding grounding. Meditate, chant, dance and sing. Celebrate! Awaken your inner light and align with your pure truth. As the Moon shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra late morning, the Vasu Devas bring increased light (jyoti) and awaken resources of support. The eight Vasu Devas are sources of illumination and prosperity. Their light illuminates the world and each one of us is illuminated by them. They dwell within us and help us awaken to our own light, while also showing us our light externally. Their light is two fold. Through their brilliant light and resources, we are able to manifest and create on the material plane of existence, thus they uphold dharma, truth and support the activation of right action. Move towards your dharmic path with conviction today. Use the resources arriving actively. Gather guidance, support and the wisdom you need to continue your path of awakening, healing and transformation. Thought the work is never complete, rest in this moment where light has for now, re-established its rightful place within. * All timing used is Mountain Daylight Time

Let's connect for a session. Together we can create a plan of action for you. As the Moon shifts into the first tithi of the waxing Moon cycle, the sacred nine day and night celebration of Maha Navaratri begins. Nava means nine and ratri means night in Sanskrit. Each day and night of this powerful junction point, correlates to the epic battle between the goddess Sri Devi Mahatmyam and the demon Mahishasura. Maha Devi Mahatmyam is connected to both Durga and Shakti, powerful forms of divine feminine energy that awaken, clear, transform and heal. Sri Devi is understood to be the supreme creation power of the universe, the Tridevi, or triple goddess, as she expresses the creation, sustaining and destructive energies that perpetuate all forms of life. In the sacred text known as the Sri Devi Mahatmyam, composed between 400 and 600 CE, the many forms of the goddess are expressed. "She is presented, through a language of praise, as the one who dwells in all creatures, as the soul, as the power to know, the power to will and the power to act. She is consciousness of all living beings, she is intelligence, she is matter, and she is all that is form or emotion." - Via Wikipedia During the nine day and night Navaratri celebration, the battle between light and dark forces enlivens, ending on the 10th day with Victory Day, Vijaya Dashami. This battle between light and dark, good and bad, masculine and feminine, transformation and healing, is taking place within all beings at this sacred junction point. It is a time to heal and integrate polarities within. During Chaitra Navaratri in the spring, the ninth day is celebrated as the birth day of Lord Ram, called Ram Navami. The Navaratri celebration is an expression of what is taking place within Nature, through the Laws that govern Nature, marking an important transition within us and around us. These important junction points (know as a gap, or sandhi in Sanskrit) happen multiple times a year, however, the Shardiya, or Maha Navaratri, junction point is considered the most powerful. This is a death cycle for both Northern and Southern hemispheres. As life is being called into silence in the North, and called into action for the South. In either case, doors are opening and closing. Align with Nature and Her powerful energy of change and transformation during Navaratri. Ritualize your connections with Nature- in order to land more closely to your own inner wisdom, to Her wisdom. Strengthen your connection to self and Spirit. Navaratri is a poignant time in the Vedic Calendar. This ancient calendar is one that is dedicated to Nature and her cycles and rhythms, the planets, and most importantly the Moon. In the Vedic Calendar, time is connected to what Nature and the cosmos are doing, and these elements are intimately related. Navaratri occurs several times a year, though the main celebrations are twice a year- in the "gap" seasons of spring and fall. These times are considered sandhi times; delicate times that feel like you are neither here, nor there. We might call it the netherworld. This time, though delicate, is considered sacred. In the spring, Navaratri marks the "waking up" of the devis or the goddesses; the aspects of Natural Law that enliven growth, abundance, prosperity, learning, well being, change and transformation. In the fall, Navaratri invites in destruction, removal, change, transformation and healing. The goddesses Durga, Saraswati and Lakshmi symbolize these parts of life and Nature, while also being parts of our own innate being. The three of them together represent our wholeness, the trinity of life, alive in and around us. These three goddesses also connect to Shakti, the goddess who gives the spark of life to every being, to Nature, and to existence. Fall Navaratri, or Maha Navaratri, is by far the most potent as it brings deep transformation and the ability to remove, destroy, release and transform, our darkness into light. The holy trinity of goddesses supports this process and allows us to let go of what needs to be released in order for greater nourishment. As we let go of our darkness, an increase of light and wisdom can take its place. This process is marked by Durga's powerful battle against the demon Mahishasura. On the 10th day, she destroyed him and was victorious. This day is called Vijaya Dashami (Dashami is the 10th lunar day of the Moon cycle, connected to dharma). This is a nine day and night celebration that is divided into three parts. The first three days are dedicated to the goddess Durga. Her warrior spirit cleanses, shifts, uproots, changes and transforms. Think of her as tilling the soil, prior to planting seeds. The next three days of celebration are dedicated to Lakshmi. Her abundance, nurturing, and wealth offer nourishment and support to us on all levels of life. Health is the ultimate wealth and Lakshmi brings this support as well. Finally, we have three days dedicated to goddess Saraswati. She gives us knowledge, understanding, wisdom, creativity and artistry. She is the rasayana (or healing balm) if you will to close this sacred nine day celebration. Together, these three goddesses bring wholeness, renewal, and the life giving offerings of Shakti. This creative life-force energy is truly what inspires life, living and abundance. It is at this time that we can connect to these three goddesses most easily- inside of us, and around us. Because of this, Navaratri is considered a very sacred and powerful time of year- one that influences our inner and outer experience of life for months to come. To connect with the goddesses more closely, make special offerings on your altar for them during the nine days. You can also dedicate your actions and intentions to them for greater communication. Connecting to fire and stoking the internal flame (or agni) can be valuable for the first three days of Durga. You may wish to write intentions that focus on empowerment and action steps for the coming months as well. Using self development tools to transform negative thoughts and mental body stories, will be well supported at this time. During the three days of Lakshmi, bring sweets and flowers to your altar, cook nourishing foods for your Self, decorate and adorn your Self. This is a time to focus on self care diligently. For the final portion of Navaratri, dedicated to Saraswati, music, art and poetry can be a good way to focus your energy, efforts and intentions. Use creativity, artistry and embodiment resources for grounding and landing in your intentions. Use one of my Creative Rituals for support with this process. On this first day and night of Navaratri, notice what's arriving. Emotionally, you may feel anger, pain, frustration or sadness emerge in the coming days. Physically you may need more rest or silence. Mentally you may need more inward reflection as well as time for meditation. Spiritually, you may need time with nature and rituals that help you land in deeper presence. Understand that this is a part of the change and transformation process. Where can you land into deeper presence with your needs? As you deepen your intention for this Navaratri celebration, find meaningful rituals for yourself that bring you closer to spirit. Spend time in nature and in meditation. Listening to Durga mantras right now is excellent for inviting in her presence. Traditionally, listening to Chandi Path recitations is also encouraged. During this sacred and potent time, treat your Self like the goddess that you are and share your abundance with others. May we each remember our abundant true nature, our immense creative life giving energy! Read more about Navaratri from Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra, renowned Shaka Vansya Ayurvedic Doctor. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever! Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: [email protected] This Week's Intention: Linger in the subtle realms, the in-between. Use this ambiguity for creative activation. What are you leaving behind? What are you inviting in more of? Let soul and spirit guide you home. Multiple planetary shifts this week create a sense of change, instability and new beginnings. Be very intentional about what you are creating for your self and your life. The week begins with a new Moon in Capricorn, setting the stage for Mercury and Venus moving to Capricorn. Our inner and outer light source, the Sun, changes signs late in the week, entering his one month transit through Aquarius on Saturday. Earth and air elements increase for the month to come. Monday, February 8th Moon in 15th (Amavasya) and 1st tithi New Moon is Monday morning at 06:39 am PST, while Moon is in Capricorn and Dhanishta Nakshatra. The coming waxing cycle is oriented towards expansion, while also supporting shining more brightly in the world through the blessings of the Vasu Devas. Resources, support and abundance can be delivered through alignment with right action, dharma and sharing one's talents and creative forces. Vas means "to shine" in Sanskrit. This nakshatra brings visibility through one's light (jyoti), but mostly through sharing this inner light with others. Both Sun and Moon receive drishti from Mars and Saturn at the time of the new Moon. Saturn rules Capricorn, offering stability, support, structure and a methodical, hard working nature. Mars is considered exalted in Capricorn, and his gaze provides a fierce tenacity and focused warrior spirit. Together, these planets inspire the Sun and Moon to find clarity, purpose and power for the coming cycle. Themes to work with for the next two weeks include expanding what you think is possible for yourself and your path, while finding new resources to support this task. It will be your creativity and how you use your potent inner wealth, that will determine your success. Do you suppress or resist your passion and creative powers? Or do you channel them effectively with clear actions that are aligned with your purpose? Don't waste your energy on tasks that are frivolous or mundane. Step into your full power and say yes to life! Monday continues with Moon transiting Dhanishta nakshatra, shifting to Aquarius late afternoon, where she joins Ketu- still transiting the 29 degree range. Rahu and retrograde Jupiter give their gaze seven houses away. The emotional body becomes extra sensitive at this time, though increased wisdom, insights and awareness may arrive. Pausing and attending to your sacred inner realms will be vital in order to catch the messages. Find your inner pause and use it to harvest insights and clarity. Read more about the New Moon + Creative Ritual here. Just hours after the new Moon, Mercury jumps to Capricorn. This is a return for him as he moved into Capricorn briefly during his January retrograde cycle. Mercury moves to Capricorn once again Monday the 8th at 13:17 PST. Multiple gazes are given to Mercury, stirring the mind and provoking textures in the mental body landscape. Saturn and Mars give their drishti to Mercury, instigating tension and frustrations. This is a time to seek balance with your momentum. Leap and land carefully- and with intention. Desires may be strong and intense on the mental body level. Are these desires controlling you? Find ways to soften and surrender. The tension between Saturn (stop, slow) and Mars (go, fast) can also be an opportunity to find a new integration with polarities, extremes and challenges. Find ways to surrender, while still taking effective action steps. Capricorn's nature is to push really hard, overwork and to tenaciously take on a challenge. Are you biting off more than you can chew? Saying yes when you really need to say no? Find ways to delegate, get extra support and notice where you invite in overwhelm. This is often a strategy for self sabotage, perpetuating cycles of "not being enough" or "not doing enough". Remember that challenges are an opportunity to notice what needs to change or shift within us or our choices. What needs to change in order for smoother sailing? Use this Mercury cycle to dive deeply into the depths of your mental body and harvest rich rewards. Keep reaching, extending and trying new things. What you will find is new possibility, new purpose and rich creative rewards. Find ways to keep resourcing from your inner light. Let this light ignite your power. The sensitivity of the mind during this cycle will require that you meditate and find time for sacred pauses. Look, listen, watch. Once Venus joins Mercury in Capricorn, a creative shift occurs. How can you channel ideas, passions, imagination and possibility into containment? Get product oriented. Structure the feminine into the masculine. Shape it and re-shape again and again. Tuesday, February 9th Moon in 2nd tithi Just after Tuesday begins, Moon shifts to Satabhisha nakshatra, the star of "a hundred medicines", while continuing through Aquarius. Varuna rules this constellation, providing a stern, watchful gaze which no one can escape. The symbol is an empty circle, which shares unlimited potential, yet a clearly defined space. Boundaries are necessary here and are also supported. Find ways to contain yourself safely today. This is an essential resource for self care. What are you saying yes to that you should be saying no to? Clarify your position and spend time alone in order to align with your inner truth more clearly. Be mindful of health today and use Ayurvedic principles to align with Natural Law. Varuna causes disease when you disobey the wisdom of nature. The emotional body is still being effected by conjunction with Ketu and the gaze of Rahu and Jupiter. Tend to this sensitivity with slow, steady steps. Minutes before midnight, Moon moves to Purvabhadra nakshatra. Wednesday, February 10th Moon in 3rd tithi Moon transits Purvabhadra nakshatra, moving into exact conjunction with Ketu late afternoon. Retrograde Jupiter and Rahu continue to give their gaze. The emotional body is very fragile today. Intensified feelings may come to the surface as emotions, finding their way through your internal waters. Surrender to these waves. Venus at the edge of Sagittarius creates more of this theme. You may feel as if you have a foot in two worlds today. Ruling deity Ajaikapada can help you balance the impossible, while integrating challenges and resources. Use creative tools to help you move your inner waters and harvest from them. What is your divine feminine asking of you? What does she request? Slowing down to stillness will help you gather these messages. Unite your two halves and step more gracefully into the now. Late afternoon, Moon moves to Pisces, increasing the themes of movement, creativity and the emotional body. Keep the movement, keep the flow. Once Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadra constellation, Uttara Bhadrapada, as Wednesday comes to a close, release arrives. Thursday, February 11th Moon in 4th tithi Moon transits Pisces and Uttara Bhadrapada today, symbolized by the back legs of a funeral cot- indicating release, letting go and endings. As one door closes, another one opens. Death is indicative of life. Inhale brings exhale. The dance of life is integrating opposing forces and bridging differences into union. The human body is such a vessel, a container of integration and balance. Dig deeply into your subconscious territory today and gather resources for life, for union, for balance. What action steps are you using to support this process? Stir up your depths and let the parts of your being that have not seen the light, emerge and reawaken you. Venus is now at the very edge of Sagittarius, increasing creativity, feelings and life force energy. How do you put these resources to good use? Where do you need to slow down and stand more deeply in your feminine essence? Late evening, Moon moves to Revati nakshatra, ushering in the nourishing support of Pushan. Friday, February 12th Moon in 5th tithi Friday begins with Moon moving through Revati nakshatra and Venus changing signs- from fire to earth. At 01:00 am PST, Venus leaps to Capricorn, joining Mercury and a sandhi Sun here. Sun is now in the nakshatra of the Vasu Devas, Dhanishta, increasing light (jyoti) and being seen in dharmic ways. Rahu and Ketu are also sandhi, still in the 29 degree range, propping open the portals between signs. These gaps between signs are sacred junction points where spirit can be accessed more actively. There is vulnerability, sensitivity and new awareness enlivened as a result. Connect with your spiritual body intentionally and create space for deeper listening. As Venus lands in Capricorn, conjuncting Mercury and Sun, all three planets now receive gaze from Mars and Saturn. These two planets are frustrating and often cause challenges due to their opposing energy. Mars is a warrior, fiery and action oriented, whereas Saturn is slow, methodical and needs a certain steadiness with ample pauses. Both energies rule over the earth sign Capricorn, giving it a stable, yet determined essence. This is a courageous cycle for Venus, one that brings new endeavors and creativity. The hands are a primary entry point for accessing this creative wisdom, so let them guide you towards new awakenings. Allow the imaginal to come into form. Spark the soul and illuminate your spirit through grounding and landing within. Align with the laws of nature in this coming cycle, the elements of existence, to support your awakening process. What feels like right action? How do you know this is real? Sense the connection you are creating with your inner truth. Feel this deepening from inner to outer. Is there a place in the physical body that you can feel this power strengthening? Once Sun leaves Capricorn on the 13th, Venus and Mercury align once again as a creative, resourceful team. These creative tides will be stirring and activating more potent receptivity. Take this creativity into action. Land internally, track sensations, notice the physical body messages. These are vital resources for your creative and healing activation. The body will be sharing very clearly what you need, so harvest this wisdom consciously. Use these messages as resources for your path. There's support coming from within. Use this to deepen your inner gaze. Relationships can be instrumental in this inner awareness. Pay close attention to the mirrors you are looking in. Be courageous in your co-creation. Friday, Moon moves through Revati nakshatra, Pushan's domain. The symbol here is a drum, used to keep time and mark occasions. Pushan helps travels be nourishing and fruitful, while also having the skill of returning what has been lost along the way. What are you calling back to you? What are you moving towards? Take an action step towards what you need for deep nourishment. Call in your guides, resources and spirit to support you. Today is also Vasant Panchami, the celebrated day of goddess Saraswati- who governs knowledge, wisdom, creativity and technology. It is said that this day brings all goodness and success to your actions. It is an Abujha day, one that offers auspicious results. Honor, celebrate, chant and pray to Ma Saraswati. Let her blessings of wisdom, creativity and greater awareness arrive through you. The fifth tithi, Panchami, ends at 17:09 PST so be sure to do your pujas and celebrations prior. Late evening, Moon makes the tricky leap from the end of the zodiac (Pisces) and into Aries, the beginning. A door closes, while a new one opens. What loose ends need to be finalized and completed to prepare you for the cycle to come? Saturday, February 13th Moon in 6th tithi Minutes after Saturday arrives, Sun jumps to Aquarius, joining Ketu here. He receives direct gaze from Rahu and retrograde Jupiter seven houses away. This is the third planetary change this week, rendering multiple sandhi (in the gap between signs) planets simultaneously. Accessing spirit will be supported at this time, though a certain fragility and vulnerability will be present. Sun's transit through Aquarius gives rise to a certain spiritual focus in the coming month. One where we can more clearly identify polarities that need integration. As shadow emerges and rises to the surface, it can transform, more light can bring awareness and awakening, and suppressed energy can give rise to something new. Sun's conjunction with Ketu amplifies this process, while also bringing past traumas to the light. The process of healing and transforming may intensify once Sun shifts into Satabisha nakshatra on February 19th. Varuna's watchful gaze does not let anything go unnoticed. This is an opportunity to align more closely with the Laws of Nature and bring yourself back to a sustainable balance point. Mind your health and be diligent with what you eat and how you eat. A good routine and following Ayurvedic principles will be ideal. Health issues that arise within Satabisha are said to be impossible to remove. Heyam dukham anagatam- avert the danger that has not come; use prevention. By March 4th, Sun moves to Chitra nakshatra and Mercury will have joined Sun and Ketu in Aquarius as well. Clear action steps and innovation will be supported at this time. Creativity will be more unique, fresh and out of the box. Are you allowing in all possibilities? Let your entrepreneurial spirit shine! Computers will support this process as will the internet. Connect, co-create and find ways to share your ideas in bigger ways. Use the coming month to chip away anything holding you back, keeping you from accessing your creative power. Where are you resisting your empowerment? Why? What is keeping you from fully accessing your full potential? Think big! Expand what you think is possible for yourself and your life. Ask for spirit to support you with this process. Allow your team to help- both on the material and spiritual planes of existence. Let your ancestors help you get your needs met. Call them in! Saturday the 13th may feel like a fresh start as Moon moves through the first sign of the zodiac (Aries), signifying new beginnings. Moon receives gaze from Mars, Rahu and retrograde Jupiter as it moves through Aries. Emotionally, sudden outbursts of anger may arrive as well as frustrations and irritations. What is the underlying need and the lesson? Where are you forcing, when you should be surrendering? The horse-headed twin Ayurvedic doctors bring magic, medicine and miracles with them- usually suddenly and with precision. Gather resources for healing, rejuvenation and revitalization. Where can you drop in and listen more intently to your inner wisdom? What messages are arriving to support your health- physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually? Late afternoon, Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra and sensitivity is stirred. Transformation is provoked, inviting in possibility, new awareness and insights. Let your feelings support the imaginal. Contain the big picture and give it focus. Sunday, February 14th Moon in 7th tithi Moon continues through Aries and Bharani nakshatra, instigating Yama's strong arm of restraint. This nakshatra is symbolized by a yoni and is highly creative. There are openings and birthing offered, as well as closings and death. Opposing forces conjoin, giving rise to new possibilities. Use integration as your theme today. What needs to be connected, bridged and aligned so that more stability and ease is birthed? What restrictions can help you fulfill this process? Less is more. Let Yama's restraint be a resource. Late afternoon Moon changes to Krittika nakshatra, Agni's domain. Get exact, clear and focused about your needs. Pay attention to your digestion and what you are feeding yourself. Attend carefully to your life fire. What are you ingesting in your life and are you well fed? Where is the nourishment coming from? Where do you need more? Once evening arrives, Moon leaps to Taurus and becomes exalted. The feeling body and emotions will be sparked. Saturn and Mars give their gaze, invoking passion and frustration simultaneously. What is working? What is not? How can you get your needs met in new ways? Many Westerners celebrate Valentine's Day on the 14th. This is an interesting day to celebrate love and union. Uniting masculine and feminine energies can be supported today, but with restrictions and restraint. If you're birthing new love or re-igniting old love, create clear boundaries and intentions in order to get your needs met. Communicate carefully and consciously to relationships. What needs to transform within you, in order to find the connection you long for? Monday, February 15th Moon in 8th tithi Moon transits Krittika nakshatra and moves through its mulitrikona degrees, while receiving gaze from Saturn (contraction) and Mars (dynamism). These energies provoke a certain emotional body frustration or confusion. There may be emotional build-up released. Find safe and comfortable ways to open the valves. As afternoon arrives, Moon moves to Rohini nakshatra and creativity is amplified. How can you channel the emotional body spikes through your creative power? Lord Brahma supports this process by turning the unmanifest into manifest form. Use sensation and enliven your sensuality through touch, taste, sight and sound. Relish in the uniquely human qualities of the feeling realms. Lord Krishna was said to have been born with Moon in the first house in Rohini. His beauty, charm and unyielding love expresses the devotional qualities of this star as well. Bhakti is the balm that can soothe challenge. Where can you surrender to divine devotion more consciously? Who and what are you inviting in to support you in this process? My Jyotish Basics courses will resume in March 2016.
