December New Moon Eclipse Wisdom + Creative Ritual

The last new Moon of the year (and decade) is an interesting way to close this chapter, while opening to the new. On December 25th at 22:14 MT, the new Moon arrives in Mula Nakshatra with six planets transiting Sagittarius. Mercury and Mars change signs the same day, while the annual Solar Eclipse begins simultaneously. Many around the world also celebrate Christmas on the 25th, which creates another interesting dynamic with this very unusual new Moon.

Six planets transit Sagittarius around the new Moon- Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Ketu. Four of these planets will be moving through the challenging constellation of Mula nakshatra at this time- Sun, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter. The same day of the new Moon, Mars enters his own sign, Scorpio, causing some instability for action. Mercury moves to Sagittarius on the 25th as well, leaping right into Mula nakshatra, conjunct five other planets. The mental body will be in a chaos of sorts in the coming days. Not a good time to make big decisions. Watch your money and communication.

Sagittarius is a fire sign known for its spiritual inclinations. As the number nine, it naturally reflects the wisdom of the 9th house of dharma. Symbolized by an archer pulling his arrow back, this sign needs to remember to take action, not just prepare. There is a tendency for "over-preparation" with this sign, rather than taking focused, right-action. Notice where you are causing delays, creating obstructions, resisting forward momentum. The support will be here for you to move forward, but you must take the steps to make it happen. This sign wants fairness and justice, as well as truth. The shadow side to this sign is dogma, puritanical beliefs and ideals.

The first constellation of Sagittarius is Mula, considered one of three gandantas in the zodiac- a gap between water and fire. Gandantas are notorious for uprooting the psycho-emotional body levels. This particular gandanta, or gap, is connected to the nakshatra, Mula. Ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti, this constellation is often disruptive for the dharmic path. Nirrti in fact is married to adharma, that which goes against dharma, causing calamities, chaos and misfortune on the path that obstructs or delays dharma. Four planets transit Mula nakshatra at the time of the new Moon- Sun, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter. Expect your tap root to feel unstable at this time. A poignant uprooting is taking place physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually at this time. Grounding and stability are vital.

Are you making choices that move you closer to dharma or further away from it? What are you releasing, removing or uprooting right now? What needs to be cleared and eliminated so that you can move forward in a different way? What needs are surfacing as you sift and sort through the rubble? What are you making space for and how do you want to move forward differently?

The annual solar eclipse will intensify the instability surfacing so pay attention to what is emerging from your depths. This opens a two week cycle that will invoke the depth of your shadows.
Eclipses intensify everything and tend to make mountains out of mole hills- so we can see what we have been avoiding or negating within the unconscious realms. We may get lost in the overwhelm and negativity during this two week cycle, so keep moving toward the light. Stay positive and look for solutions rather than focusing on the darkness, but do not bypass the necessary inner work that you are being asked to show up for. This is a powerful time to address inner shadows head on and release inner blockages that you've been overlooking.

Your willingness to honor your big emotions will support their release. Stay present and willing to be with your challenging parts. There is something trying to push through and come to the surface. Are you listening? What needs to change? Your emotional body waves are asking for more nourishment. Be willing to support the release so that you have space for more of what you truly want and need.

This eclipse portal begins with a solar eclipse on December 25th and lasts for two weeks, ending with a Gemini full Moon on January 10th with a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. The December 25th solar eclipse begins at 19:29 MT and ends at 01:05 am on the 26th, with the maximum eclipse occurring at 22:17 MT on the 25th.

A reminder that this begins a two week cycle that is not good for starting new projects.
Emotions tend to intensify during eclipses and shadows are much stronger. You may feel less clear and focused so don't make sudden decisions. Challenges often intensify so we can see them more clearly and make the necessary changes that will support new growth. This can be a time of immense inner transformation if used properly.

Even though this eclipse is not visible in the Northern Hemisphere, from a Vedic perspective, it is not advised to be outside during an eclipse or to look directly at the eclipse taking place. Wear a head covering if you have to be outside so you don't absorb the shadow. Ideally, this is a time for spiritual practices such as meditation, chanting and fasting. Set intentions and honor the sensitivity of this time. It is also widely recognized that during and between eclipses, starting new endeavors will not bring positive results. No new projects, relationships or activities should start in the eclipse portal. Notice what needs are arriving, then take action after the eclipse portal closes. Best to lay low, attend to spiritual pursuits, get extra rest and work with your inner shadow very consciously during this cycle.

Use the two week Eclipse cycle for spiritual practices, rest, retreat and your dharmic path. Set intentions for the coming weeks and honor your self care. Honor you emotional body wisdom and confront your inner shadows. Make necessary changes in your actions and choices. Release negative thought patterns, behaviors and inner dialogue that is keeping you stuck in patterns and cycles of lack. Clear, release and let go so that you have even more space for your deepest nourishment.

This final new Moon of the year and decade is a dramatic closure, while ushering in a fresh start promising change and uprooting. The old stories you have been carrying with you need to be re-evaluated. Are they accurate and true? Do they really represent who you are and what you want for your life? You have a powerful opportunity with this new Moon eclipse cycle to eradicate the past, clear and remove the parts of yourself that no longer serve you. You must be willing to courageously see your darkness and shadow first. In the coming two weeks be diligent with your clearing and release process.

The timing of this new Moon and eclipse at the end of year and decade is remarkable and poignant. Do not underestimate the power of this moment- for your life and your dharmic path. You have a unique opportunity to move forward in a completely different way- if you have the courage and willingness to create something new. Declare your intentions, desires and dreams. Commit to taking the bold action steps required to make this a reality in the coming year and decade.

Creative Ritual

As you move through this eclipse portal cycle, integrating and digesting the powerful themes of this shadowed time, there will be strong emotional body waves activated. This is a cleansing cycle, a time to release old, undigested grief and harvest rich inner wisdom that has long been covered up by your shadow.

Use this Tapping Meditation as a resource for uncovering your emotional body wisdom, so you can find the needs underneath the big feelings. Then follow up with the Creative Ritual below. Attend to the space you've created with consciousness and presence.

Step One:

Tapping Meditation for Clearing and Release

Step Two:

Awakening Inner Space ~ Creative Ritual

After you complete the Tapping Meditation and move some emotion, notice your internal landscape. What is arriving?! As you continue to cultivate inner presence, I invite you to notice the space within your body. Where do you feel more space in the body? Where does this space arrive within you? How does it feel? This space within is ripe with potential and possibility. It is fragile and vulnerable, but also very powerful.

This creative ritual will help you continue to cultivate a relationship with this inner space.

1) Create An Image. Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of the space you are cultivating a relationship with. What does this space feel like within you? Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow 10 to 20 minutes at minimum for this image. Title your image.

2) Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your space image. Use the intention of "moving with this feeling of space in the body". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process.

* If you are in an acute grief phase, you may wish to simply hold a shape in the body, to mirror your space image, rather than move the image.

3) Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions:

I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine, I express.

How do you want to attend to this space within?
What is your intention moving forward?
What am I opening to? What am I closing to?

Jupiter in Sagittarius: Seeking Spiritual Balance and Support + Horoscopes

10/30/2019

Picture

Normally, Jupiter's transits are a year long, but this year-long transit of Jupiter moving through Sagittarius is unusual and not straight forward. Sagittarius is Jupiter's most balanced transit, however, he must contend with Saturn and Ketu for the majority of his passage through his favorite fire sign. Sadly, a large part of this transit is cut short as Jupiter enters his debilitation sign for several months. Unfortunately, we won't get the full benefits of Jupiter in his most balanced, comfortable placement, however, there are still many spiritual benefits that we can look forward to.

As Jupiter lands in Sagittarius on November 4th, he enters the challenging gandanta of Mula nakshatra while also joining Saturn and Ketu in this sign. Expect inevitable restructuring, contraction, losses and grief thanks to Saturn and Ketu. There will be clearing and releasing taking place, which can ultimately lead to more gains further down the road. Remember that Jupiter wants to purify, so listen carefully to his requests. What are you making space for?

When Jupiter collides with Saturn and Ketu, a natural restructuring will be taking place. Saturn is the planet of grief and has an energy of contraction. Ketu is highly spiritual, disembodied, and shows us where we need more connection and awareness. Jupiter will be bringing the necessary wisdom and support that is needed to heal, grow, expand, and find more wholeness on your dharmic path.

Saturn will move to his own sign, Capricorn, on January 23rd, 2020 which will give Jupiter a little breathing room while he transits Sagittarius. However, Jupiter then shifts to Capricorn, his sign of debilitation, on March 29th, 2020, where he will have to contend with Saturn once again- while feeling the pinch of debilitation simultaneously. This can squeeze and cause pressure to Jupiter's expansive ways. A debilitated planet can't offer much outer support as its energy turns inward. This transit can cause challenges with all things Jupiter- so be mindful of what needs are surfacing and what changes and adjustments need to be made on your dharmic path.

Once Jupiter lands in Capricorn and goes debilitated, then goes retrograde on May 14th, a reversal will take place called Neecha Bhanga. A debilitated planet that goes into retrograde motion is said to become exalted- almost. This will strengthen the effect of Jupiter and will offer more support while he moves through Capricorn, however, it's not a complete cancellation. I've found personally that much of the impact of the debilitation can still be felt- so be mindful that this is still a delicate transit.

Sagittarius is a fire sign that is deeply connected to spiritual desires.

Jupiter in Sagittarius: November 4th, 2019 to November 19th, 2020:

Moves to Capricorn on March 29th, 2020
Retrograde May 14th, 2020
Moves back to Sagittarius on June 29th, 2020
Goes direct on September 12th, 2020

Jupiter is a planet of sattva, purity. His intention is to purify what is impure and to awaken pure knowledge. He prefers the spiritual realms and offers spiritual support and guidance when well placed in the natal chart. When we go against him, he can be overpowering in his attempts to bring us back to spiritual harmony and balance.

As the planet of expansion, satwa (purity) and akasha (space), Jupiter brings us knowledge and wisdom as well as new awareness. The Sanskrit name for Jupiter is guru (teacher), expressing the support and nourishment he provides. As Jupiter moves around the zodiac, he sparks learning and growth through wisdom, guidance, support and resources. Whatever he touches, he expands- which may feel helpful or uncomfortable at times.

Jupiter transits are roughly one year long and impact all levels of wisdom, knowledge, comfort and support. He leads you to your dharmic path and supports the nourishment gained along the way. Positive effects of Jupiter  bring comfort, support and understanding. He brings learning through greater awareness and expansion of consciousness- which of course is not always comfortable. He is the ultimate teacher (for better or worse) providing some of the most poignant life lessons.

Challenges with Jupiter include lack of support, knowledge, and dharma. When Jupiter is not strong in the chart, there may be little to no support offered, few resources or missed opportunities. Dharma may be impossible to find with a weak or challenging Jupiter in the natal chart. Everyone can benefit from the helpful and supportive resources that Jupiter provides. However, without his support, challenges and struggles increase- which often bring tragedy, trauma and chaos.

As the guru, he represents teachers of all sorts- including coaches, healers, guides, mentors, therapists, wisdom keepers and shaman. Receiving the blessings of Jupiter requires that you allow the nourishment and wisdom of this type of support to be received. Negative influences upon Jupiter in the jyotish chart, will create challenging experiences with teachers and a resistance to knowledge and wisdom. Whereas positive influences upon Jupiter in the jyotish chart will offer nourishing and supportive experiences with teachers, wisdom and guides.

If Jupiter is a naturally benefic, or positive planet, in your chart, the coming transit can naturally offer more gains, expansion and support on your spiritual path. This can be an especially powerful time for your dharmic path as Sagittarius naturally pulls from the 9th house of dharma. Jupiter loves dharma, right action, spiritual gifts and wisdom. He is a great support for aligning and clarifying your dharmic path. Using this time wisely will be important for making progress on your path and getting soul level support.

If Jupiter is not a positive resource for you, this transit can offer certain challenges with knowledge, wisdom, guidance and support- especially for your dharmic path. You may lose support, be forced to restructure, face hardships and lack of resources. The impact of a weak Jupiter will likely be felt as he moves through Mula nakshatra and goes debilitated in Capricorn.

November 4th, 2019 to January 4th, 2020: Jupiter in Mula Nakshtra

This is a time of powerful restructuring, uprooting and change. Mula is a gandanta- a gap between water and fire- notorious for uprooting on the psycho-emotional body levels. Ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti, this cycle is especially important for your dharmic path. Are you making choices that move you closer to dharma or further away from it?

Address self sabotage, resistance to your growth, and the neglect of your souls purpose. You may experience challenges, obstructions, or delays on your dharmic path. Gather the support, guidance, resources and tools you need to move forward with more clarity and focus. Don't lose sight of your goals, disires and spiritual intentions. Seek spiritual insights and wisdom, as well as deeper self trust. What needs to change once and for all- so you can finally move forward with more ease and gentleness?
A clearing is taking place. Allow the release to take place. Next steps will be planting your seeds of desire and intention.

January 4th, 2020 to March 7th, 2020: Jupiter in PurvaAshada Nakshatra

As Jupiter moves through PurvaAshada, the water goddess, Apas, enlivens. This is a constellation of perspiration and effort- which results in fruitful rewards. This transits supports purification, release and transformation- especially on the phsyical body level. This is powerful time for cleansing and cleaning up your lifestyle and diet.

Seek resources, support, guidance and tools that help you purify your life. Where there is impurity, Jupiter will be requesting you do clean up. Clear away the excess, the impure, the malnourishment. Make space for your deepest desires, nourishment and support. It's time to up-level on all levels of your life!
Use this time to water the vision, desires and goals you have for your life path and purpose. Focus your attention and actions on the direction you want to go and make the necessary space for what you truly desire.

March 7th, 2020 to July 26th, 2020: UttaraAshada Nakshatra

The intention of UttaraAshada is right action. Ruled by the Vishva Devas, goodness, truth, and purity are their desire. The "all gods" will support righteous behavior and choices, but adharma will not be tolerated. Are you in right-relationship with your dharmic path, your souls purpose? This constellation can be a powerful boon for the dharmic path, but if you are misaligned, you will be asked to clarify and refine your actions and choices. If you aren't getting the support you would like, it's time to take a different course of action. You are off path somehow. What needs to shift in order for more right-action?

What is your focus and intention right now? What are your desires? Clarify your direction and where you are putting your energy. What action steps move you closer to your goals, your dharmic path? What action steps are wasting your time and energy? Now is the time to get the lasting results you truly desire for your path and purpose. Don't hesitate and don't delay.

July 26th, 2020 to October 29th, 2020: Back to PurvaAshada Nakshatra

October 29th, 2020 to January 6th, 2021: Back to UttaraAshada Nakshatra

Horoscopes for Jupiter Transit:
November 4th, 2019 to November 19th, 2020

These Horoscopes will give you general themes for the year to come based on your rising sign. Horoscopes are based on your sidereal, or Jyotish rising sign, not your Western or Tropical sign. There is likely no correlation. You may also use with your sidereal Moon or Sun sign for extra insight.

Needing more support and guidance for the Jupiter cycle ahead?
Book a session with me here.

Aries: Your dharmic path has been going through major transformation and restructuring over the past year. You are being asked to make some very different choices on your path. Continue to notice where there is trauma, disconnection and disharmony with your choices, actions and behaviors. Are you resisting spiritual guidance and support? It's time to find more alignment with your true purpose and deeper needs. Get creative! Be courageous! Try something new! Move in the direction of your passion and purpose. As Jupiter shifts into your 9th house of Dharma, he brings more support, resources and guidance to help you clarify and affirm your path. Share your knowledge and wisdom in a new way. The good news is that Jupiter is leaving his most challenging transit through your 8th house, however, in the coming year he will be debilitated in your 10th house for a portion of the year, which causes challenges with your offering and visibility. Take note of the adjustments and changes that need to be made so that you can be seen and noticed more fully for your offerings. Growth and new wisdom is possible in this new phase so pay attention to your resistance and notice where you are refusing to grow. It's time for an upgrade.

Taurus: It's been a challenging year for you with lots of deep, inner changes. Fortunately, Saturn will be leaving your 8th house early 2020, which releases you from his most challenging transit. However, as Jupiter moves into Sagittarius, he enters your 8th house as well. Any planet that goes through the 8th house does not come out the same. You are going through immense transformation right now and it's important that you get the necessary support to help you move through this time. The 8th house is our unconscious terrain, which inevitably digs up our own darkness and undigested emotions. This is a very important time for you to be doing your shadow work, trauma work, and deep spiritual awakening. As Jupiter moves to your 8th house, seek new support, guidance and resources to help you move through this powerful transformation process. When Jupiter enters your 9th house of dharma, he goes debilitated. Be mindful of your relationship with authority figures, spiritual guides and gurus. Are you aligning with what you need? Are you refusing the support you desperately need? Turn the mud of the 8th house into the necessary knowledge and wisdom for your dharmic path. Be willing to face your fear so that you have more space for the joy. I highly recommend a Jupiter yagya for this transit to buffer the inevitable challenges.

Gemini: Self awareness is key right now. Focus on your inner growth and outer expansion. Relationships have been causing many challenges and delays, but soon the heaviness of Saturn will leave your 7th house, lightening things up a bit with relationships. However, early 2020, Saturn moves to his most challenging placement in your 8th house. The coming 2.5 years bring up very old, undigested grief- so get the support you need to transform your darkness into light. No planet that goes through the 8th house comes out the same. I highly recommend getting a Saturn yagya for this transit to buffer the inevitable challenges. The good news is that Jupiter entering your 7th house offers more solid support and stability- especially within relationships. Gather what you need for more holding, strength and community in the coming months. Seek the spiritual support and guidance that will help you navigate the cycle ahead. Clarify boundaries, relationship needs and work with the wisdom of your pelvis. When Jupiter dips into your 8th house for part of 2020, this will present some very real vulnerability. It's vital that you do your grief work at this time and get a yagya for Jupiter as well. This does not have to be a horrible year, but you do need to be diligent and honest with your challenges and needs, while seeking the right kind of support for your healing and transformation. Be vigilant!

Cancer: Saturn and Ketu have been living in your 6th house of healing for the past year and Jupiter will join them as he enters Sagittarius. This provides a new strength and wisdom to your support team, providing new wisdom, insight and clarity with your healing and inner guidance. If you are on a healing path, or a healer, this cycle will be especially beneficial to you as you deepen your understanding and depth. Expect your dharmic path to clarify and strengthen as well. Saturn shifts to your 7th house early 2020, which brings more solid support into your life, but when Jupiter enters Capricorn as well, you may feel vulnerability and lack of support on some level. Seek balance with relationships, your community and support team. Focus on your healing and health in the coming cycle and gather new resources, support and guidance for your path and purpose. This can be a time of more balance and harmony with your self and others. Work on releasing bad habits, self sabotage behaviors and the parts of yourself that keep you stuck in lack and malnourishment. Clear away the blockages and make space for more of what you need and want. Watch out for stagnation in your gut and digestion.

Leo: Jupiter shifts into your 5th house as he enters Capricorn, joining Saturn and Ketu here for part of his transit. It's been a challenging time for your children, joy, and sense of power over the past year, but Jupiter will provide new insight, wisdom and support moving forward. His balance and resources can offer you new awareness and focus for your path and purpose so use it wisely. Pay attention to your upper gut and clear and release stagnation with digestion. Saturn shifts to your 6th house early 2020 which means doing some grief work around bad habits and poor choices. When Jupiter moves to Capricorn and becomes debilitated, this reminder is even more important. Vulnerability and lack of support may cause challenges so pay attention to where you are self sabotaging and resisting the support and guidance you need. The coming cycle will require deeper healing, wisdom and resources for you so don't neglect your path and growth. Focus on where you want to go and gather what you need to get you there.

Virgo: You've had so much clearing and releasing taking place in your heart center this past year that you now have space for something new. The wisdom and nourishment of Jupiter is moving into your 4th house of heart, home, land and mother so use the coming transit to strengthen your emotional body and heart wisdom. As Saturn shifts to your 5th house of children and power, you will need to do some grief work in this area of your life. Once Jupiter enters your 5th house and goes debilitated, this area of your life will require you to listen more fully and deepen your harvest. What are you learning about your relationship with power? How is your heart wisdom supporting your inner wisdom? Use this time to clear the trauma that has been keeping you disconnected from your heart, emotions and mother. This pain is keeping you stuck in malnourshment and instability. It's time to heal, transform and awaken your inner wisdom and listen to your emotional body more fully. Use this wisdom to support your offering, deepen your path, and clarify your purpose in this world.

Libra: This is a time of strengthening your creativity and courage so that your dharmic path can deepen. Over the past year, you have been experiencing challenges with your creativity, hands, and courage- which has directly impacted your dharmc path. A restructuring has been taking place, clearing space for something new. Now that Jupiter is arriving in your 3rd house, more balance, support, resources and guidance can arrive. This will help challenges with authority figures, your support team, and spiritual growth as well. Saturn moves to your 4th house early 2020, requiring you to do some very concentrated grief work. Lean closer to your emotional body wisdom. As Jupiter moves into debilitation in your 4th house, the wisdom of your emotional body will require even more attention and intention. Challenges with heart, home, mother, land and property will require your focus so don't be neglectful. The wisdom surfacing can directly support your offering in this world so pay attention to what you are learning and how you want to share this with others. It's time to create something new. Be courageous.

Scorpio:  Jupiter is leaving one of his most powerful transits for you, but the good news is he will be in his own sign for at least part of his new cycle- which directly impacts your sense of nourishment. The expansion you've been experiencing this past year will continue to blossom and support your finances, wealth and resources. However, this comes with restructuring and  necessary changes. Once Saturn shifts out of your 2nd house and into Capricorn, you will feel even more lightening up in your pocket book, but the restructuring continues throughout this coming year. It's time to make some very real changes with your finances and how you deal with your money, as well as your relationship with food and sustenance. When Jupiter enters Capricorn and goes debilitated in your 3rd house with Saturn, your courage will faulter- which impacts your dharmic path. Be mindful of this inner cycle and what needs to change in order for you to return to a new sense of strength and self. You are making space to receive a whole new level of nourishment and creativity, but some clearing and restructuring must take place first. Be diligent with clearing out the old and making space for the new. It's time for a deeper sense of nourishment in your life and body. Use this cycle to upgrade your speech, voice, diet, and money.

Sagittarius: It's time for you to do some celebration as Jupiter lands in your first house in his own sign. You've come full circle and a 12 year Jupiter cycle is now finally complete. As Jupiter arrives in your head, expansion, possibility, and hope awaken. Maybe it's time to refocus your time and energy in a new direction? As Saturn moves to your 2nd house early 2020, even more ease and gentleness arrive for you at long last. For part of the coming cycle, Jupiter will be debilitated in your 2nd house with Saturn so be mindful of your finances and don't overspend. Upgrade your diet and eating habits and don't overindulge on sweets, alcohol, bad food, etc. This is a time best used for changing your relationship with nourishment in general. With Jupiter in your 1st house for part of the coming year, focus on expansion, growth and new wisdom. Relationships, children and your dharmic path all receive the support and guidance of Jupiter so focus on the positive and honor this powerful new chapter awakening for you and your life!

Capricorn: Layers of closure, release and emptying are strengthing for you. Saturn's long, belabored 30 year transit through your chart is starting anew as he enters Capricorn early 2020. This will feel like a fresh start for you on many levels, but some final clean up and release is necessary before you can hit refresh. Do your grief work and support the release process. A very spiritual transformation is taking place for you as Jupiter arrives in Sagittarius. Awaken the support and guidance of your ancestors and deepen your relationship with alone time, solace and retreat. Get comfortable with meditation and your dreams- and use them to strengthen your dharmic path. When Jupiter goes debilitated in Capricorn for a portion of 2020, your relationship with vulnerability and insecurity requires some attention. You will need to rely on your relationships, community and support team in new ways. Allow yourself to be supported and notice where you resist being held, seen and supported. Part of your support team is spirit, so don't neglect the relationship with your ancestors and spirit guides. Let them be your greatest resource.

Aquarius: Gains are arriving at long last. Have you made space for them? How much room have you created for receiving the nourishment you desire? Focus some attention on clearing and releasing, so you can benefit from the naturally beneficial transit of Jupiter moving through your 11th house in his own sign of Sagittarius. As Saturn shifts to your 12th house, early 2020, even more ease is created in your house of gains. Some necessary restrucutring needs to be done still, so don't neglect the clearing, transformation and release that is being asked of you. When Jupiter hits your 12th house and goes debiliated, much of this release work will become more clear and poignant. Let spirit and your ancestors guide you. Take time for rest, solace and meditation. Gains are likely as Jupiter moves through Sagittarius, so be diligent with your manifestation skills and be clear in what you are asking for. If you make space for it, you will be able to receive it more easily.

Pisces: You've had a powerful year of growth and expansion on your dharmic path and now it's time to bring this learning into action. You are in a process of restructuring your offering to this world, but as Jupiter shifts into your 10th house, more support and wisdom will arrive to help you create something new. Saturn shifts to your 11th house of gains early 2020, requiring you to focus on release, letting go and loss. This is part of the necessary clearing and new structure that must be implemented in order for the new gains to arrive. What needs to change and transform? What is the direction you want to move in? What are you creating for your new offering in this world? During part of this transit, Jupiter will be debilitated in your 11th house with Saturn. This is a delicate time for your growth and receiving. Be diligent and mindful with the necessary clearing, shifts and simplicity that are being asked of you. Cut, clear, delete. Refocus and realign with what truly matters to you. Strengthen your passion and purpose. It's time to create a whole new offering in this world.

I am on a mission to help sensitive women connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!

The June full Moon occurs on Monday the 17th at 2:30am MT while Moon is transiting Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra, a lunar constellation ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti. Moon joins the sensitive and complicated planets in exact conjunction here as well- Ketu and Saturn. We also have four planets conjunct in Gemini looking directly at Sagittarius, causing an intense emotional dynamic that will make this full Moon feel like a release of immense emotional build up. Mercury, Mars, Rahu and Sun are asking for intensified clarity, courage and creativity right now. Don't drop the ball.

This is a powerful full Moon and waning cycle for your dharmic path. Don't miss the messages arriving to support you, nor the opportunity to clear your path. If used properly, this cycle can be of great benefit to your dharma, your life path and purpose. For others, immense calamity and confusion may arrive. Try to stay on path and don't let the goddess of adharma pull you from your inner wisdom.

When any planet transits this portion of the sky, they go through a powerful uprooting process. Mula nakshatra is considered one of three gandantas- junction points in the sky that cause immense psycho-emotional body uprooting. This powerful transformation process can clear away blockages and obstacles so the path is clear, or it can create such confusion, calamity and misfortune that the dharmic path becomes unclear, misdirected and completely disconnected. It takes great strength, courage and intention to stay on path with Mula nakshatra. Those born under this star often go through painful life challenges that keep them from fully utilizing their innate gifts. They may struggle with such self doubt as a result of misfortune that they can't clearly see their purpose or offering in this world.

The ruling deity of Mula nakshatra is Nirrti. Married to adharma (that which goes against dharma), the dark goddess of calamity, chaos and misfortune, presents unusual challenges on the dharmic path that can lead souls astray. It is therefor vital that when Mula is influencing us we take stock of our actions, choices and behaviors with honesty and truthfulness. Because this constellation is notorious for creating a sense of overwhelm, simplicity and editing our choices is important. Less is more with this constellation. Through simplicity and consistency, a deeper spiritual awareness is possible. Nirrti can clear the path of rubble and debris so that we can focus our attention and intention on what truly matters. However the diligence required takes great skillfulness and strength.

Use the waning cycle ahead to clarify your path, purpose and offering. Where are you getting stuck in overwhelm, overdoing and fear? How is this impacting your results and behaviors? It's time to get truly honest about your focus, direction and desires. Are you making progress or spinning your wheels? Are you truly aligning with your highest potential, or settling for less than you deserve? Have you truly done all that you can to make sure your dharma is awakened, or is your self doubt keeping you stuck in painful choices and behaviors?

The June full Moon is powerful opportunity to awaken your dharmic path and clarify your life purpose- however it will take your diligence and focused action steps. If you feel yourself getting off path or you realize that you are not aligned with your true purpose, it's time to make some adjustments. Make the necessary changes that puts your dharma first and allow your big dreams to be your top priority. Ask for the help you need and expand your vision. Step up and align with what truly matters to you. Your soul is asking for more. Are you ready to finally listen? Be very conscious in this cycle of what is moving your closer to dharmic alignment and what is moving you further away from it.

Sun has now shifted to Gemini, joining Mars, Mercury and Rahu here as well. He transits the air sign of communication and creativity until mid July. This transit illuminates communication- physically and mentally- supporting a deeper understanding of your body and its self expression. Challenges may occur with self expression and creativity as well. Blockages are resistance in disguise so be willing to address your shadows and illusions. Watch for self doubt and uncertainty as Sun collides with Rahu. Break through the old stories, patterns and behaviors that are keeping you stuck, playing small and stuck. It's time to expand your creativity and self expression. Use a multi-modal approach through dance, writing, painting and music.

Summer Solstice (Northern Hemisphere) occurs on Friday, June 21st at 09:54 am MDT. In the Northern Hemisphere, this is the longest day of the year in terms of daylight. In the Southern Hemisphere, on the other hand, it is the shortest day of the year and is known as the Winter Solstice. Solstice comes from the Latin words sol, meaning Sun and sistere, meaning to come to a stop or stand still. On the day of the June Solstice, the Sun reaches its northernmost position, as seen from the Earth. At that moment, its zenith does not move north or south as during most other days of the year, but it stands still at the Tropic of Cancer. It then reverses its direction and starts moving south again. The opposite happens during the December Solstice. Then, the Sun reaches its southernmost position in the sky - Tropic of Capricorn - stands still, and then reverses its direction towards the north.

This is a potent time to take stock of your life, your actions and choices. Think of it like a tipping point. What direction are you moving in? Are you actively moving towards your desires and life purpose? What shifts and changes need to take place in order to align with your inner light, your souls offering in this life time?

Creative Ritual

Clarifying Your Dharma. Turning Dreams into Reality.

Use this Creative Ritual, to deepen and cultivate more presence with your dharma. Allow your dharmic vision to come alive!

1) Creating Your Dharmic Vision.

Get out your drawing pad and craypas. Create an image of your dharma, fully realized and activated. Maybe this feels impossible, but try anyway. If you feel stuck, pick a color and just start running it across your paper. Notice carefully what begins to emerge within you.

What colors, images, textures and shapes express your dharma? Let that gentle sensation that arrived from reading your passion list carry you through this activity. Keep returning to the list, adding to it if you need to, and creating an image that expresses the feelings you receive from looking at your passion list.

Get into this and let yourself play, fully arriving into the reality of joy and passion. Let this image serve as your reminder, your dharmic map. Hang it up on your wall and let it inspire your action steps. Be sure to title your image.

Once your image is complete, let it answer this question:

If your image could speak to you, what would it say?

Take 20-30 minutes for this unless you feel like extra time would serve you.

2) Activating Your Dharma.

The next step requires the physical integration of this joy and passion. Moving it from the imaginal realms, and letting it become a recognized, physical sensation in the body.

Set a timer for 20 minutes. Look at your image and let a certain part of your drawing attract your attention. Let a color, shape, or image draw you in. This is your starting point. Begin to move this part of your drawing with your body. Let your body move in response to the image. Develop your dance using the intention of increasing awareness, activation of your desires, and the sensation of joy and passion. This is both an activation of your desires, as well as an exploration of your body's messages and sensations. Invite in the information. Remember, you are activating your dharmic map! Let this be your intention.

As your timer rings, hold the shape of your body, as though you are a statue. Let a word or phrase come to you that describes your statue. Declare this!

Take at least 20 minutes for your dance.

3) Harvesting and Planting Seeds.

Once you have completed your image and your movement exploration, it's time for some harvesting and further activation. Answer these baseline statements in your journal separately: I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine.

Circle one of these baseline statements that speaks to you most loudly. Create an action step for yourself that will help you honor and activate this sensation. How does this aligns with your passion list? If your statement is "I feel joy", then affirm that you will take an action step that creates more joy for yourself, perhaps doing something on your passion list for example.

Clearly identify an action step and then make a doable goal with it. Such as "I will work in my garden once a week which makes me feel joyful." Write your goal down on a piece of paper. Now, look at your image, recall your dance exploration, and read your baseline statements once again. How does your action step and goal align with the dharmic vision you have created?

Remember you can recycle this process again and again, finding different options for yourself (which I encourage you to do). Keep exploring and taking these action steps. Let your passions be your focus and set an intention for at minimum, once a week (daily is best), working directly with these sensations you've uncovered in this process. Let them motivate you. Remember, these sensations are like seeds. Tend to them gently, honor and nourish them.
You are well on your way to creating your dharma. Step by step!

Share your harvest with us in the Embodied Dharma Tribe!

June Full Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual

Deep uprooting takes place in the coming cycle as the Sagittarius full Moon arrives in Mula nakshatra. On June 27th at 22:52 MT, the Moon will be at its fullest. Where are you feeling full in your life? What needs to be pulled up by the root and released? The next two weeks support a deep release, transformation and change. In this process, healing and new possibilities arrive. Are you actively making room for something new to arrive?

Mula nakshatra is the first constellation in Sagittarius, notorious for creating chaos, upheaval and sudden changes. Symbolized by a bundle of roots, this nakshatra brings the kind of release that comes from the root. It's not surface or mundane. Major life changes- inside and out- occur with this lunar constellation. There are three gandantas in the zodiac and Mula is one of them. These gaps between water and fire signs are notorious for creating deep psycho-emotional body shifts. Whatever is released will make room for new awareness, more clarity and life supporting choices. However, don't get lost in the chaos of the change process. What is clearing? What new insights and awareness have emerged? Don't be too hasty to fill the space being created. Linger in the opening and be intentional.

Nirrti, the Dark Goddess, rules over this portion of the sky. She is married to adharma, that which goes against dharma. The chaos and calamity that can be produced with this constellation, can pull you away from right action and a clear path. Often people under the influence of this constellation will endure deep hardship, only to eventually find the spiritual awareness out of all the immense compost. Notice where you are making life too hard. Does it really need to be such a struggle? The way you use your challenges is the key to your awakening. Find the Middle Way- the path of least force. Re-align and re-commit to your dharmic path. Are you on path or making choices that keep you disconnected and further from your purpose?

How to tell if the Dark Goddess is destroying your path.

As the Moon arrives in Sagittarius, it collides with Saturn currently transiting Mula. Saturn brings a certain compression to the Moon, restricting it. This grief Moon will force the emotional body to release past hurts, pain and emotions that have not been fully digested. Expect discomfort in the coming cycle as emotions are churned out, released and transformed. Keep life as simple as possible in the coming cycle. Less is more. Find your ground and come back to your body. A simple routine and lifestyle will be best at this time.

Read more about Saturn in Sagittarius.

Use this time to focus on relationships- with self and others. Who and what needs to be released in order for more stability, safety and support in your life? What emotions are your relationships bringing to the forefront? What needs to be digested and acknowledged more fully? The grief of past loss may be re-emerging. Can you honor the wisdom of your pain? What needs does your grief share with you?

Creative Ritual

1) Identify your grief.  If you could find your grief living somewhere in your body, where would it be? Lean in closer. Notice the sensations you feel with this grief in your body.

2) As you lean into the grief living in your body, notice if it has a color, shape, or texture. If this grief had a sound, what would it be? Let this sound out of the body until you feel complete.

3) If this grief in your body could share a message with you, what would it say? What does it need?

4) Create an image of your grief, using craypas, paints, collage, or any other medium that inspires you. Spend at least 20 minutes on this image- until it feels complete. Give it a title.

5) Spend some time with your grief image and let it speak to you. If your image could share a message with you, what would it say? Let is respond to these statements:

I am, I want, I need
I sense, I feel, I imagine

December New Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual

12/14/2017

Picture

As the Moon becomes dark and empty this month, themes of uprooting, untangling and destruction arrive. Just days before the new Moon, Sun shifts into his month long transit through Sagittarius.  The December new Moon brings a collision of Moon, Saturn and Sun- all in Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra. The process of uprooting will be happening on multiple levels- including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Radical release is taking place and will require as much grounding as possible in order to navigate the chaos and change process. Stay close to the body.

The new Moon occurs on December 17th just before midnight Mountain time. At 23:31 MT, Moon is completely empty and Sun, Moon and Saturn conjoin in the domain of the dark goddess, Nirrti. The constellation of Mula is synonymous with change and transformation. Uprooting on the psycho-emotional level will take place as Moon, Sun and Saturn shift through this notorious gandanta (gap). Ruling deity of this portion of the sky is Nirrti, who brings calamity, misfortune and chaos in her wake. As a result of these challenges, deep healing, insights and wisdom can occur. But without diligence, the chaos and adharma (that which goes against dharma) can also keep one from finding their way back to the path. This is an extremely fragile cycle. Do not take unnecessary risks in the coming days.

This coming cycle destroys and uproots the parts of you that are disempowered. Seek truth, purpose and dharma above all. These are the sources of light that will help shine the light on your path. Seek your light source and tirelessly move closer to your shadow, the parts of you refusing to awaken. Crack open your ego. fearlessly lean into your inner masculine, and look closely at your fear. Why are you resisting your vulnerability, your heart and emotions? This is a time of immense healing, but it requires strength, willingness and courage to make strides.

Pull the weeds from your garden. What is choking the life out of you? What is clogging your channels of nourishment and life force? What is keeping you playing small and pretending to be insignificant? Your power is immense. Let the strength and wisdom of your heart lead the way. Unpack the dynamics within your relationships and let them mirror to you what you need the most. Listen to your gut and let it share its wisdom with you. What are your deepest needs for nourishment? Ask the ancestors for support.

As you attend to this powerful release process, intentionally create space for the new. What are you making space for in your life? What needs to be healed or released before you can fully receive these needs?

Creative Ritual

The gut, or solar plexus, is the seat of power and connects us to the masculine, power and by default the fifth house of the jyotish chart, as well as the sign of Leo.

The metaphors for gut have to do with digestion and assimilation as well as elimination. What are you digesting and assimilating? How effectively do you eliminate and release what you no longer need, what is no longer nourishing you? We use this process of digestion in our lives on multiple levels; with our assimilation of environment, our internal/external landscapes, with words, ideas and life's experiences.

The gut is connected to intuition, our "gut responses". Stomach problems are associated with "the inability to process and assimilate impressions received from our outer environment. Our ability to eliminate, or how we eliminate, is connected with the abdomen. In Eastern traditions, the belly is considered the center of the body, and the place form which a state of balance emanates. The abdomen acts as a transit area between the upper and lower areas of our body." -The Expressive Body in Life, Art and Therapy by Daria Halprin.

1) Use movements such as "cat and cow" and gentle spinal twists to activate the gut. Notice if your breaths are going all the way to the base of the stomach, or stopping short. Lie on your back and place your hands on your belly. Feel the gentle undulations of its rise and fall with each breath. Gently knead your gut with your fingers. Notice any sore spots or lumps? Move around the navel in a circular pattern. Stop and let your body relax and respond to the touch of your hands on your belly. Move and connect with your stomach for 10-20 min.

2) As you complete your movement exploration, pause and check. What do you notice in your belly? What sensations and feelings arrive? Notice if any images, colors or shapes are present within. If your belly could share a message with you, what would it say?

3) Come to your drawing pad. Draw an image your belly. What feelings and images were invoked during your body part exploration? Let your image express these feelings and sensations. Spend 10-20 minutes on your image. Give your image a title then answer these questions:

If your image could speak to you, what would it say?

What am I releasing? What am feeding myself with?

Transit Report ~ April/May 2017

5/1/2017

With all three gandantas open right now and three retrograde planets, it feels like we are traversing the netherworlds!

You may be asking yourself: Has anything really changed since last year? It feels like the same old ground. Lots of foggy uncertainty, not sure what is real, or how to move forward.
You may be questioning since the Aries new Moon: How can I shift and change the challenges that are re-emerging right now?!

What are you noticing?! What is returning?! How does it feel?!

Moon is transiting Gemini until Monday, May 1st. This is Mercury's sign and will invite in more mental body returns. What stories and connections are showing up as reminders?! These are places where you might need to do more mental body clean up.

All three gandantas are open once again- now that Mercury has retrograded back into Ashwini nakshatra. Gandantas are points in the zodiac between water signs and fire signs (Pisces/Aries, Cancer/Leo, Scorpio/Sagittarius). These points are notorious for causing immense upheaval, as deeply rooted knots within your being get released.

Ashwini, Mula and Magha are nakshatras situated in these powerful gaps that trigger immense change processes to take place. These nakshatras are also ruled by Ketu, a non planet notorious for sudden release, forced letting go and remarkable changes. His goal is to support your moksha, liberation, to release you from your attachments.

Mercury is currently retrograde moving through Ashwini. This is impacting the mental body. Clean up the mind, restore and harmonize. Rejuvenate and spend time in nature. Meditation and health resources such as Ayurveda will be especially important for this transit. The mind is getting uprooted, retracing old stories, and overheated as it conjuncts with exalted Sun. Mercury goes direct on May 3rd but will continue to transit Ashwini until May 23rd, which keeps the gandanta propped open most of the month.

Saturn is retrograde in Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra. Mula nakshatra is ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti, responsible for adharmic activity- that which is against dharma. She is notorious for causing chaos, calamity and misfortune, while also pulling you from your dharmic path. There is a risk in this year of losing your path, getting stuck in the storm of uncertainty, confusion and misalignment.

If you find yourself lacking clarity about your life purpose, or confusion seems to increase, it's time to seek support and guidance. Resources, guidance and support will be even more important at this time because it will be so easy to fall into the chaos and confusion that Nirrti provokes. With great diligence however, this can also be a time of strengthening your determination, focus and alignment with dharma. Do not lose hope. Do not get lost in Nirrti's perfect storm. Stay connected and aligned with your dreams, desires, goals and passions. These are important resources to help you honor your dharmic path.

Rahu is always moving in reverse and is currently in the gandanta situated in Leo and Magha nakshatra. This transit is bringing ancestral karma to the surface, intensifying shadows and woundology that is connected to the masculine and father. Old karmas, lineage karmas, karmas related to the masculine, are asking you to look more closely, clear and release. The spiritual body is impacted by this transit as Magha closely relates to the ancestors.

What challenges are you noticing with these planetary themes?

Gandantas are door openers. They are portals of the in-between. Neither here nor there. Due to their nature of uprooting, they can cause a sense of ungroundedness and sudden, painful loss. You may be noticing a lack of footing, clarity and purpose. Much uncertainty is arriving right now- mentally, spiritually and physically. You may be feeling uncertainty in the spiritual, mental and physical bodies as a result.

Stay as close to your body and its wisdom as you can right now. More inner resourcing is important, and in many ways can be easier to do as a result of the liminality of these gandantas and the current transits moving through them.

What are you noticing- spiritually, mentally and physically?

I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!

Six Signs You've Lost Your Path.

2/10/2017

Picture

Saturn shifting to Sagittarius and the constellation, Mula, for the majority of 2017, brings dharmic themes to the surface. Many will hone and align with their highest purpose, others will lose complete sight of their dreams and desires, succumbing to the chaos of this cycle. Those who choose dharma consciously, will be required to face challenges and obstacles head on, in order to continue to align and clarify their path.

Read more about Saturn in Sagittarius

Dharma is Sanskrit for the path of your soul, your highest purpose.

If Dharma is your life path, your soul's true purpose, then Adharma means that which goes against your dharma.

What is Adharma?

When you lose your path, your joy, passion and what lights you up. When you do not fully align with your soul's purpose, or when you fall off the path, this is considered adharma. Anything that causes you to lose sight of your destiny, dreams, goals or visions, can also be considered adharma.

The impact of Adharma can be physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

6 Signs of Adharma

1) Chaos, confusion, and uncertainty about your purpose and dharmic path. Especially note if this dharmic confusion is systemic in your family and lineage.

2) Thought patterns that keep you stuck, misaligned, resistant or avoidant. Often rooted in the story of "I can't do it because..."

3) Behaviors and choices that sabotage alignment with your soul's purpose. Toxic mental, emotional, physical or spiritual patterns that shadow your inner wisdom and truth.

4) Spiritual by-passing and avoidance of challenges, hardships, struggle and pain. Watch for stories like: "It wasn't meant to be" or "everything happens for a reason." These are often rooted in avoidant behavior.

5) Getting stuck in repeated cycles of loss, failure, challenge and hardship- without clear transformation or change.

6) Lack of joy, pleasure, passion and enthusiasm for what you do and how you offer it to the world.

These six signs are key reminders that you are stuck in adharmic patterns, cycles and behaviors.

Many of these adharmic tendencies are ancestral and given to you by your lineage. This is actually part of your path- to unravel the legacy of adharmic actions, choices and behaviors.

If you can say yes to any of these signs of Adharma, it's time to be realistic about your path!

You will need new resources, consistent support and greater clarity to create change and transformation on a deep, lasting level. It is vital that you learn how to move beyond your "stuckness" and get targeted guidance for your journey- or the adharma will not change.

Clarifying and honing your dharmic path can not (and should not) be done alone. It is a process of unfolding that requires consistent support, resources and guidance along the way.

I know you are feeling the chaos of Adharma because it is so alive right now in the environment and society!

This is why I'm sharing my Dharma Foundations Course with you.

Saturn in Sagittarius: Transforming Fear, Awakening Dharma

The Nature of Saturn

Saturn is a powerful planet, one that dishes up our karmas to us- but not on a silver platter. He is our greatest suffering and sorrows, but ultimately our enlightenment. He moves slowly and methodically, taking 2.5 years to move through each sign. What Saturn offers us is the depth of our being, our humanness, whether through experiencing the human form, the physical body, or through the reactions of our actions. Life might be easier without him, but it would truly lack depth, lessons learned, and the necessity for consistent effort which is necessary for us to grow and evolve.

As per my article, Ripening Slowly with Saturn:

"Saturn brings both the blessings and the curses of life- as he gives his wisdom only through the slow ripening of time, effort, suffering, loss and age. It takes time to learn the deepest, hardest and most important wisdom of life. This wisdom has to be worked for and requires effort to receive. Thus, Saturn pays us in enlightenment for the work, effort, steady actions, that we make over a long period of time. If we don't adhere to his rules for wisdom, he will make us suffer the consequences."

Saturn is worth studying, working with, not against. Being very familiar with his ways is vital for life and living. This will cause less suffering, less misery, fewer health issues, and less depression and despondency. For on the other side of suffering is great alliance with Nature and her wisdom, as well as the sacred Laws of the Universe. This is one of the gifts that Saturn grants us when we are in alignment with Source.

Saturn in Sagittarius

Saturn shifts to Sagittarius on January 26th, 2017 at 02:55am MST for his first pass through this sign. He will be in Mula nakshastra the majority of 2017. This is a powerful re-structuring transit. As the planet of grief moves through the star notorious for adharma (that which is against dharma), it is imperative to stay close to resources, support and guidance that will help you stay true to your inner wisdom, your dharma and life path.

Sagittarius correlates to the 9th house of your natal chart, which is the house of dharma. The 9th house is considered the most auspicious house of the chart, offering support and resources, more than challenges and struggles. It is also the house associated with teachers, but most importantly, one's guru. These days, most people have many gurus- so how you receive knowledge and who guides and supports you on your path, is also honored by this house. This can include coaches, therapists, healers, teachers of all kinds and anyone who shows up in a support role. The ninth house is spiritual, wisdom oriented and connected to higher education. There is also a correlation to the father, but most often the step father- as the guru was in ancient times. For everyone, understanding their natal 9th house, and how it expresses itself in the chart, will be important right now. As Saturn enlivens the themes of the 9th house during this transit, he will also by default, be activating your natal 9th house themes.

This year, Saturn spends the majority of his time in Mula nakshatra- the first constellation situated in Sagittarius. It will be easy and tempting to succumb to fear and anxiety with this transit. It will provoke challenges and discomfort that might make you lose hope, trust or certainty with your inner light, your inner truth. Through facing your fear directly, using it as a resource for deep inner growth and transformation, you can awaken in very spiritual and empowering ways in the coming months.

This transit of Saturn in Mula can bring great awakening, but only through your diligence, willingness and consistently showing up for your inner wisdom. This process will take your resolve. You must show up for yourself and others repeatedly in order to harvest the power of this process. What is your highest truth? What intentions are you aligning with right now? What is your heart and soul longing to bring forth into this one precious life?

Saturn will stay in Mula nakshatra until June 21st of 2017. Part of this transit includes his retrograde dance back through this chaotic gandanta (gap). Saturn will retrograde on April 5th, 2017. Saturn will then re-enter Scorpio on June 21st for another four months, before re-entering Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra on October 26th, for the remainder of his 2.5 year transit through this fire sign. Saturn stays in Sagittarius until January of 2020.

As Saturn shifts into Sagittarius, Rahu in Leo gives his gaze directly to this heavy, challenging planet of hard work and structure. When the energies of Rahu and Saturn come together, storm energy is enlivened, the power of Rudra (the Storm God) is invoked. This offers immense strength, but it must be channeled effectively in order to be utilized properly. With great power, comes great responsibility, Channel this power, force and strength effectively, and you will feel the wind in your sails. Allow this storm energy to control you, and it will induce more struggle, suffering and calamity. Find the calm within the storm and activate grounding, embodiment and core strength.

This ongoing lengthy transit will be the most provocative and transformational since Saturn is the slowest moving planet and the grief giver. He impacts the physical body directly and brings ongoing duress because he is so heavy, old and slow. As the planet of grief, this is also an important time to pull out the roots of grief that have been living in your bodies unconsciously. Attending to your grief process and healing old wounds will be especially important in 2017. Everyone will be forced on some level to look directly at their suffering and pain. Hopefully this will bring new awareness.

Why is this transit so provocative?

Mula nakshatra is ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti, responsible for adharmic activity- that which is against dharma. She is notorious for causing chaos, calamity and misfortune, while also pulling you from your dharmic path. There is a risk in the coming months of losing your path, getting stuck in the storm of uncertainty, confusion and misalignment- losing your path by succumbing to fear, doubt, and challenges.

If you find yourself lacking clarity about your life purpose, or confusion seems to increase, it's time to seek support and guidance. Please reach out to me.

As challenging as this Saturn transit will be for many, it is also an opportunity to do some very powerful healing work in ways that will support deep, lasting change for the physical body. Saturn has not transited Sagittarius since December of 1987. You might recall what took place for you from the end of 1987 to December 1990, the length of Saturn's transit through Sagittarius. This will give you a good idea of what to expect in the next few years. You can also look at your jyotish chart and notice where Sagittarius is for you specifically.

As painful as this process of letting go and uprooting will be in the coming months, it's also an opportunity for great change and transformation. Release and letting go allows new space and possibility to arrive- on all levels of your being. How you work with your pain, grief and challenges will determine your outcome. Remember that there's always a resource hidden in the challenges. The trick is to find them! It will be important to get extra support, resources and guidance in the months to come to help you transform challenges into possibility.

Do not lose sight of your visions and dreams, goals and aspirations. Stay close to your body and breath and deepen your inner roots. Use resources to help you expand your creativity and what you think is possible for yourself. Try to keep life as simple and stable as possible.

Saturn enters PurvaAshada nakshatra on November 27th 2018 for one year.

Saturn enters UttaraAshada nakshatra on December 27th 2019 until he moves to Capricorn on January 23rd 2020.

Horoscopes
~ For Saturn in Sagittarius

*Horoscopes are based on your sidereal or Jyotish rising sign, not your Western or Tropical sign. You may also use for your sidereal Moon or Sun sign for extra insight. For these particular horoscopes, understanding where Saturn sits in your natal chart is key.
This will determine your relationship with him and how he gives his effects.

Aries: As Saturn steps into your 9th house of dharma, it's time to truly enliven your purpose for being alive. This is a very important year for you. Changes, transformations and shifts in how you share your wisdom and gifts with the world are invoked. The dharmic process you are embarking on will test your courage and abilities, but will be well worth your efforts in the coming years. It will take your courage and creativity to embrace your new path. This year particularly will present you with challenges that must be addressed head on- in order for you to truly step into your purpose more fully. What is holding you back from activating your passions, purpose and biggest desires? Strengthen the thighs for more stability, support and power.

Taurus: This is a vital year of transformation for you as Saturn dips into your unconscious territory, the 8th house. Think of it as a major internal house clearing. You will be forced to look at parts of yourself that you’ve had under lock and key for years. These parts of you must be acknowledged, brought to the surface, in order to release and heal them. They are taking up a lot of space in your being, but you must make room for the new. After this 2.5 year transit, Saturn moves to your 9th house of dharma. The process you are undergoing is absolutely necessary so you can understand and acknowledge your soul’s purpose more fully. Commit to self development, healing undigested grief and releasing parts of yourself that are not nourishing you. Do your ancestral work. Work with your digestion and sexual organs for maximum healing.

Gemini: Saturn will be moving through your 7th house of relationships. There is a radical release and restructuring process taking place within you and your relationships at this time. It’s time to let go of the people you’ve been hanging on to for no good reason. The relationships that drain you and take more than they give. Your intimate relationships will be going through a big overhaul and may feel extra challenging. Gather resources and guidance so you can deepen your understanding. The process of letting go requires that you honor your grief consciously- especially old grief that has not fully been digested. It also requires that you look honestly at yourself and look in the mirror. What parts of you are needing to be healed and released so you have space for more nourishing and supportive relationships? What can your shadow tell you? Seek stability in your heart and in your body. Use your pelvis to increase the inner support you are seeking.

Cancer: Saturn transits your 6th house as it moves into Sagittarius. This is a house of conflict, strength and determination, as well as finances and debt. It is also a place of great healing and overcoming enemies. The enemies you face are nothing more than parts of yourself that must be honored and healed. There is great opportunity for self development and inner growth if you empower yourself with resources and support for this process. Diligently work with speech and self expression as well as looking at your shadows and subconscious. You are learning about courage and in this process, stepping into your dharmic work more fully. Let your desire for deeper nourishment in life be the catalyst for your biggest inner change. Work diligently on gut health and digestion- especially constipation.

Leo: The 5th house is enlivened as Saturn moves to your place of power and passion. It is also the house of children, romance and past life credits. Saturn’s passage through the solar plexus of your chart, increases challenges, hardship and grief with these parts of your life. Try to lighten up and soften your load. You are learning a new way of being right now. How can you step into your power more consciously- with extra support and stability within you and around you? Relationships are a big part of your awakening process right now. Expect some restructuring. There’s some storm energy coming that directly impacts your power. How do you channel this power effectively, rather than letting it over take you? Work with digestion and the upper gut for more awareness.

Virgo: The fourth house of heart and home, mother and land, will be the focus of much transformation as Saturn transits through your chest. Grief must be attended to, digested and released. Pay attention to the heaviness in your lungs and heart so that you can fully acknowledge the grief that is asking for your focus. It’s a time of needing extra support, guidance and wisdom in order to make sense of the emotional challenges you are encountering. You need more support and stability at this time, so ground and land as much as you can. Attend to your breath, chest and lungs, as well as your emotional body. Seek spiritual resources to support the awakening that is taking place in your heart center. Practice gratitude and giving thanks.

Libra: This transit of Saturn impacts your third house of courage and creativity, as well as self expression and artistry. Step into your artistic endeavors more fully and use the hands! Write, draw, paint and dance. Find new ways to share yourself with the world. This is a big part of your dharma- which is coming to life in new ways right now. Spend time on retreat, alone and in silence. Strengthen your sense of empowerment and purpose. Use your self expression as a resource for awakening new parts of yourself, as well as transforming parts of yourself that have been suppressed and negated. Use your hands to create a more nourishing and empowering life!

Scorpio: As Saturn moves out of your head and into your mouth, nourishment becomes the primary theme for you this year. This also marks the tail end of Saturn’s return and major restructuring (only 2.5 years to go!) Saturn in your 2nd house of wealth, food, speech, and that which sustains you, is all getting uprooted, changed and transformed. Self expression is a key component of receiving more nourishment- especially verbally. Let yourself be heard and work directly with blockages and hinderances to your voice. Attend to your wealth and finances diligently and focus on finding new ways of nourishment to sustain you. Pay attention to your food and especially how you eat. Go slow and find time for meals that deeply nourish you. Work directly with mouth and speech for greater healing in this transit.

Sagittarius: This is a time of radical transformation as Saturn moves into your 1st house of self and head. The heaviness of Saturn moving through your head, can bring depression and sadness to the surface. You are going through a Saturn return in many ways, which provokes deep, inner change. You won’t be the same person on the other side. What needs to be released and let go of, in order for you to more fully align with your soul’s purpose? How can you clarify and focus more on your dharmic work and a path aligned with your highest desires and truths? There is a release process taking place this year that will help you strengthen your inner wisdom, but it will require your willingness to change. Surrender to the process and trust. The head, brain and vision are the primary body parts for the coming year. Keep your head on straight and stay out of the chaos as much as possible. Stay grounded.

Capricorn: Your ruling planet, Saturn, moves into your 12th house, invoking deep introspection and a need for alone time and retreat. This is a time of deep silence and inner listening. It’s an ending, preparing you for a new Saturn cycle, with new structure and physical body awareness. Think of this as your final harvest of the last 30 years. It is a mini Saturn return in many ways as Saturn rules your first house. Deep, inner transformation is taking place, so give yourself the necessary silence and meditation time in order to digest the wisdom fully. What you are awakening is touching your dharmic path very intimately, helping you find more balance with the way you offer your wisdom in this world. Go slow and be gentle with this release phase. What needs to be let go of once and for all- physically and in your physical world? Work with feet directly in order to increase support and stability.

Aquarius: Your ruling planet, Saturn, moves to your 11th house of gains. This is a house of pluses and minuses, requiring you to let go and release, in order for more receptivity. Become more aware of your needs- especially with relationships. What is serving you and what needs to be released and let go of? You are learning how to go more deeply into your unconscious terrain, while harvesting the wisdom in the process. The crucial process you’ve been undergoing with your career, is now finding some radical shifts, supporting more gains. If you want the gifts, you must surrender to the restructuring process. Let go and notice where you resist. Work directly with calves and shins for finding extra support and stability in this cycle.

Pisces: Your career will require consistent effort and action steps in order to receive the rewards of Saturn in your 10th house. There is much power activating in your offering for the world, but you must be diligent and stay true to course. Saturn likes hard work- which means consistent and focused efforts over a long period of time. This is how he gives his rewards. Get plenty of rest and stay on a good routine. The early bird catches the worm! Appease and honor Saturn and his ways for maximum gain and channel the power of giving with focus and action. Don’t give more than you receive or you’ll burn yourself out very quickly. This is an opportunity to learn more about balanced giving and clear boundaries. The knees are associated with the 10th house, which metaphorically suggests flexibility and mobility, while providing strength and stability for the legs. Take a leap!

Transit Alert: These Big Changes Are Coming.

11/27/2016

With all the big upheaval and changes that have recently taken place, I'd like to be able to say it's smooth sailing from here on out.

I wish I could say that the transits will be agreeable and offer ease and simplicity for the next few months. That there will be a pause and some gentleness. Unfortunately, the upcoming transits show big changes in the weeks and months ahead, and through 2017.

My intention is always to speak the sweet truth, so I will share the challenges here- with some important resources as well. Remember, there are always gifts! It may be more challenging to find them in the coming days, but moving closer to what you are grateful for is a balm for the heart.

This is a particularly tumultuous time. Unlike anything I've seen before- because there are multiple layers of challenges impacting us simultaneously. The aggression being stirred in the environment is activating individuals very acutely, and individuals are intensifying the collective energy as well. The churning is extreme right now.

In the Vedic literature, demon god, Rahu, was instrumental in the churning of the ocean of milk. The gods realized that by churning the ocean of milk, they could extract some Amrita, the divine nectar of immortality (like churned cream becomes butter). But they couldn't do it alone. They had to employ the support of the demons (asuras) to create the momentum needed.

The demons and gods worked together and the Amrita rose to the top, but the asuras ended up stealing it for themselves. The gods fought back and with the support of Vishnu (the sustaining force of dharma) they were able to regain the Amrita. Vishnu gave each one of the gods a drop of the immortal nectar, but Rahu (Svarbhanu) received a drop accidentally.

Rahu was positioned in between the Sun and the Moon as he received the nectar, and they recognized him at once. Vishnu chopped Rahu in half with a chakra and thus Rahu (head of the serpent) and Ketu (tail of the serpent) were born. Rahu continues to chase the Sun and Moon out of disdain.

The formless entities Rahu and Ketu are representative of the unseen forces at play within all humans. Rahu drives the cravings and the appetite for this material world, while Ketu forces the inevitable release process, severing us from worldly attachments.

Right now, this epic "churning" is taking place very acutely- inside of you and on the world stage. You are likely feeling this within mind and emotions directly. But all you have to do is look at what is taking place within our society right now to see how this churning is impacting the world- socially, politically, environmentally, etc. What is activating this dynamic right now is the Kala Sarpa Yoga effects. Sarpa means snake in Sanskrit, which is intensifying the serpent energy in extreme ways right now. Rahu is transiting through Leo and Ketu in Aquarius which is creating highs and lows and activating polarities very elaborately. Once the Kala Sarpa Yoga officially ends on January 20th when Mars shifts into Pisces, there will be some leveling out, but the churning will continue with the impact of Ketu.

Read more about Kala Sarpa Yoga's effects.

In the coming weeks and months, there will be an increase of Ketu's cutting energy. Ketu is the tail of the serpent who brings release, cutting of attachments and forced letting go. He brings liberation, ultimately, but usually not without pain. He can also show you specifically where there is trauma in your natal chart, as his detachment causes disconnection on multiple levels- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

On December 9th, Rahu shifts into a Ketu ruled nakshatra, Magha. This nakshatra is considered one of the three gandantas- junction points between water and fire signs. These portals are particularly notorious for creating immense transformation and change. Ketu is currently transiting a Rahu ruled nakshatra, Satabisha. This exchange between Rahu and Ketu will bring to light much of the darkness and deception that seems so illusive right now. Nothing is what it seems. The Sarpa (serpent) energy being activated right now is increasing the extreme highs and lows taking place inner and outer. Things go well and support comes, but then this is taken or it vanishes somehow. All is illusive and in constant change.

The shift of Rahu into Magha will activate the ancestors and increase the forced cutting and release process taking place currently. Magha brings magnanimous action and a royal spirit with profound accomplishment and visibility. It's shadow side is excess ego, misuse of masculine power and extreme or aggressive force.

As the necessity for being in right-relationship with the masculine energy comes to the surface right now, notice where you are pushing too hard and forcing outcomes. Notice where your ego is controlling you, rather than heart and spirit. Learning the art of detachment and release is an important lesson right now. We are also learning how to integrate extremes and polarities very intimately. Working with the spine very specifically is an important resource right now. Track sensations in your spine and use this as a resource for finding greater stability and support within.

As the new Moon in Scorpio arrives, the coming cycle brings an even greater necessity for integration, harmony and balance with your polarities and extremes. Let your spine lead the way as it is the Maha channel of integration for the entire body. As Sarpa (snake) energy continues to activate and intensify in the coming weeks, illusions and deceptions come to the light. Are you willing to look at your own shadows? Your own darkness is being mirrored to you through others- in challenging and confrontational ways right now. Look deeply within and clear away your darkness. Bring it to the light. Let your body and spine support this integration process of merging shadow and light. Stay connected to sensations in the spine. Listen for messages. Ask your spine to speak to you. What do you hear? Track this closely in the coming days. The body has all the wisdom you seek.

The theme of forced cutting and release will be amplified as a series of planets march through Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra in the coming weeks and months and through 2017. Mula is a Ketu ruled nakshatra, which is notorious for uprooting and forced releases. We've already experienced Mars and Venus transiting this challenging gandanta recently (the gap between water and fire signs that are particularly connected to untying knots within the psyche). Mercury begins his lengthy passage through Sagittarius on the 28th of November, marching in and out of Mula nakshatra several times between now and February. Sun shifts into Sagittarius next, creating big changes starting December 15th. Then Saturn arrives in Sagittarius for a few months, beginning January 26th.

Why do these transits provoke such change and upheaval?

Both Mula and Magha are gandanta points which trigger extreme inner turmoil and change. Gandantas are points in the zodiac between water signs and fire signs (Pisces/Aries, Cancer/Leo, Scorpio/Sagittarius). These points are notorious for causing immense upheaval, as deeply rooted knots within your being get released. Both Mula and Magha are nakshatras situated in these powerful gaps that trigger immense change processes to take place. Both nakshatras are also ruled by Ketu, a non planet notorious for sudden release, forced letting go and remarkable changes. His goal is to support your moksha, liberation, to release you from your attachments.

Mula nakshatra is ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti, responsible for adharmic activity- that which is against dharma. She is notorious for causing chaos, calamity and misfortune, while also pulling you from your dharmic path. There is a risk in the coming months of losing your path, getting stuck in the storm of uncertainty, confusion and misalignment.

As Mercury moves through Mula nakshatra on November 28th, the uprooting will take place especially in the mental body and all things impacted by Mercury including money, communication, commerce, technology, imagination and creativity.

Read more about Mercury in Sagittarius.

Sun's movement through Mula nakshatra begins December 15th and lasts until the 28th. This will impact the masculine energy very directly. We've already been experiencing the extremes of the weak masculine taking its toll in overtly aggressive and egocentric ways. As this energy continues to rise to the surface, exposing its self, it also loses its power. The passage of Sun through Mula will be a cleansing of sorts, an untying of the deeply embedded knots that keep you from your divine feminine wisdom. Notice where you are resisting this new way of being. Allow a softening and ease to arrive through deeper surrender. Being in right relationship with your masculine energy requires a new expression of what it means to feel safe, supported, clear and focused. What are you refusing to let go of? Notice where your ego and its sense of righteous indignation (I'm right, you're wrong) gets in the way of your compassion and loving kindness. This includes self compassion!

On January 26th, Saturn leaves Scorpio, entering Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra. He will stay in Mula nakshatra until June 21st of 2017. Part of this transit includes his retrograde dance back through this chaotic gandanta. Saturn will retrograde on April 5th, 2017. Saturn will then re-enter Scorpio on June 21st for another four months, before re-entering Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra once again for his 2.5 year transit through this fire sign.

I share more details about how to assess your chart in my Jyotish Mastermind. Listen for free until November 30th.

As painful as this process of letting go will be in the coming months, it's also an opportunity for great change and transformation. Release and letting go allows new space and possibility to arrive- on all levels of your being. How you work with your pain, grief and challenges will determine your outcome. Remember that there's always a resource hidden in the challenges. The trick is to find them! It will be important to get extra support, resources and guidance in the months to come.

Do not lose sight of your visions and dreams, goals and aspirations. Stay close to your body and breath and deepen your inner roots. Use resources to help you expand your creativity and what you think is possible for yourself. Try to keep life as simple and stable as possible.

Please know that I'm here to support you in any way I can. I will continue to offer resources and articles to help you navigate the choppy waters ahead.

Wishing you gentleness, ease and inner wisdom.

Looking Ahead:

October 30th: New Moon in Libra and Swati Nakshatra + Diwali

October 31st: Mars in Capricorn, exalted

November 6th: DST ends in USA + Venus moves to Sagittarius

November 8th: Election day in USA + Mercury moves to Scorpio

November 14th: Full Moon in Aries and Krittika Nakshatra

November 15th: Sun moves to Scorpio

November 28th: Mercury moves to Sagittarius

November 29th: New Moon in Scorpio and Anuradha Nakshatra

Mars in Capricorn

On October 31st at 20:35 MDT, Mars moves to his exaltation sign, Capricorn, until December 11th. This begins many fiery days ahead, with potent action oriented expression, as the warrior planet steps into his most powerful sign. There is much movement in the weeks ahead. The intention and driving force is nourishment and attaining the nectar of life. However, this process must be done with balance and attention to integration and harmony. If there is imbalance within physical, mental, emotional or spiritual bodies, challenges, pain and hardship will arrive. Suffering is optional. Pay close attention to your inner aggression and force. At the same time, notice where you are resisting the nourishment you crave.

Gains come when you honor your dark, hidden desires. Lean into your fear more closely. Align with this resistance and keep moving closer to your pain. Keep peeling back layer by layer, to expose your needs more fully. Without moving closer to your terror, you are missing out on the deep nourishment and satisfaction you crave.

The heart seeks stability, grounding and focus. It needs integration, balance and co-creation. It wants to heal old pain and darkness. It wants your hidden grief to come to the light. Will you lean closer to it, in order for it to touch your conscious awareness? You want depth and pleasure, connection and pure relationship. How will you connect with this feeling unless your your heart is pure? Purify, clarify, release all that is stagnant within the chambers of your heart. Seek receptivity, openness and more life force energy. As you clean and clear, release and liberate yourself, an immense power can be released from within. Channel this power in effective and dharmic ways in order for maximum gains.

Venus in Sagittarius

Just before midnight on November 6th, Venus moves to a new friends' sign, leaping into the tricky gandanta (gap) between watery Scorpio and fiery Sagittarius. This transit lasts just under a month, until December 2nd. As Venus arrives in Mula nakshatra, expect change and turmoil with all things Venus related- money, relationships, comforts, women, creativity, the arts and commodities. The entire constellation of Mula is considered a gandanta, a gap, that provokes challenges, uprooting and change. As planets pass through this nakshatra, an inevitable transformation takes place with the indications of that planet. Mula is infamous for chaos, calamity, uprooting and imbalance, as well as adharma- that which is against dharma. At the same time, Mula can also bring great depth and spirituality, but often due to navigating hardship and challenge. Venus moves through Mula for the first 12 days of this transit and won't shift to Purvashada until November 18th. This is a delicate time- as transitions are taking place. Deepen your intentions and resolve. Clarify your purpose and needs. Take right action towards dharma; notice where you are derailing yourself and meeting your own self sabotage.

The transit of Venus through Sagittarius will take a certain mental body strength and determination. The overall theme of this cycle is balance and integration- but through mental body channels. It's time to clean up the mind, the stories, illusions and imaginal realms that leave you in lack and misfortune. This is an opportunity to lean closer to challenges and seek the resources within them. A way to heal and transform hardship and turn it into support, guidance and wisdom. Take your lemons and make lemonade.

The heart is tender and soft, while relationships are passionate and fiery. Calm aggression and agitation by leaning closer to your heart wisdom. Listen carefully to your needs- for safety, support, holding and harmony. What is the deepest need you can find? How can you release and let go of fear and inner violence? The aggression towards the self? The aggression that gets transmitted to others as a result? Find the stillness. This is where your power, strength, courage and wisdom resides. Keep moving closer to your soft center. Lean in to you pain and struggles and seek compassion and loving kindness- for yourself and others.

The unavoidable changes of this Venus cycle provoke challenges with all things Venus. Women and your relationships will feel the most impact. This will not a comfortable ride for many.

In the coming days, stay closely connected to your needs, to heart and to your emotional body wisdom. Notice where you are disconnecting from your self, rather than staying close to home, to Self and spirit. What actions and choices need to be removed once and for all?

Stay away from excess sugar, intoxicants, alcohol, foods and choices that keep you disconnected. Be mindful of old addictive patterns and behaviors that may return at this time to sabotage your forward momentum.

Seeking clarity for the weeks and months ahead? Wondering how the transits will impact you- short term and long term? Get guidance, support and resources. Gather clarity for your path. Experience more ease and empowerment. Book A Session With Me

Mercury in Scorpio

Mercury shifts into Scorpio on November 8th at 11:54, for roughly three weeks. His fairly quick transit through the sign of depth and inner awareness, also brings a connection to Saturn at the same time. Mental body meets physical body, so it will be important to stay as resourced from your body wisdom as possible- for grounding, stabilizing and integration. This combination of Mercury and Saturn can increase mental worry, grief and fear. Look closely at these parts of your mind and work diligently to attend to and release the struggles and pains they provide. The fear is not the problem- it's your relationship with the fear that matters. Much learning can take place while attending to the mental body- stories, the imaginal, thoughts and perceptions. Track the mind carefully and lean in closer with compassion and loving-kindness. The mind will be your teacher in the coming weeks, attend to these challenges thoughtfully. The Sun continues to be weak and vulnerable until the 16th, which impacts the mind intimately. Mercury is the prince, whereas the Sun is the King. When the king is weak, so is the prince. This is a time to be inwardly focused and do necessary self development work. Just as seasonal cleanses are important for the physical body, use this time to detox and clear out the mind and emotions as well.

Full Moon in Aries

The November Full Moon is both vulnerable and dynamic. Moon will be transiting Aries and Krittika nakshatra at the time of the full Moon on November 14th at 06:52 am MDT. Beginnings arrive as Moon passes through the first sign of the zodiac, while Krittika nakshatra brings transformation, alchemical changes and fiery transitions. There is a potent co-creative energy taking place in the cycle to come. An interdependence and interdependence arrives with self and others. This supports passion, creativity, strength and clarity of purpose.

More details about the Full Moon coming soon in my November Full Moon Wisdom.

Sun in Scorpio

Sun moves to Scorpio on November 15th at 17:24, bringing more light and strength with it. However, this will translate as more inner light and strength due to the depth and mysticism of Scorpio. Turn your focus inward and deepen your awareness. Shine your light within. Sun joins Mercury and Saturn here, which is challenging for both Saturn and Sun as they are not friendly towards each other. The Sun purifies all that it touches, through heat, fire and agni. Saturn is old, slow and cold. He is set in his ways and requires steady, consistent steps in order for progress to be made. This opposes the forceful and powerful energy of the Sun. The challenge will be integrating the hard parts of yourself this month, the pieces that are stubborn, resistant, and that which refuses to change within your personal mythology. This process will require you are willing to bravely look at parts of yourself that have been hidden and in the dark far too long. Sun will shine the light. Will you be willing to see?

At the same time, this is a potent cycle to step towards your passions and purpose with more dedication, enthusiasm and authenticity. Moon is exalted in Rohini nakshatra just as Sun shifts into Scorpio. Don't discount the immense creative powers available to you during the cycle ahead. The old must be released, in order to make space for the new. What are you clearing out and letting go of? What are you consciously filling this space with?

Mercury in Sagittarius

Just as the month comes to a close, Mercury transits into Sagittarius and into Mula nakshatra for an extended stay on November 28th. The entire transit will last until February 3rd, an unusually lengthy dance of forward and backwards for this swift moving planet. Mercury will retrograde on December 19th for roughly three weeks, until January 8th. This prolongs his stay in the fiery sign of Sagittarius, who is fortunately a friend. Retrograde planets increase the strength of the planet and its indications, expressing themselves more as the nodes do- with excess, confusion and intensity.

As Mercury arrives in Sagittarius at the end of November, he also lands in Mula Nakshatra. This constellation is notorious for sparking change, transition, release and uprooting. As the planets continue to move through this portion of the sky (Sun next, then Saturn in the first part of 2017) inevitable shifts take place. Mercury will be in Mula for a lengthy stay in the coming months, moving in and out of this challenging gandanta of change. Mercury will leave Mula for the first time on December 8th, but will return on December 28th for over three weeks, until January 21st of 2017. The dance of Mercury in and out of Mula, will provoke deep mental body changes and challenges in the coming months. This is a powerful opportunity for uprooting old, outdated personal mythology with all things Mercury. This includes communication, connections, commerce, business, money, creativity, writing, computers and all resources of connection.

This transit of Mercury impacts the mental body, the mind, stirring a change process that impacts relationships, money, the feminine and creative powers. The cycle ahead supports change towards nourishment, fluidity and ease. An ability to arrive in the love and stay oriented towards the heart is possible- with courage and commitment. Get clear on what works for you and what doesn't. Communicate your needs authentically and purposefully, but through loving kindness. Work towards clarity with your inner authority and notice when you go against your needs out of fear or a misuse of your power.

Use this cycle to step into your creative powers more fully and bring more beauty into your home and heart. Seek balance- inner and outer. Move closer to your emotional body and deepen your feminine wisdom. Say yes to integration of fluidity and structure. Find your middle ground. Land and reconnect.

New Moon in Scorpio

Just as the month comes to a close, the Moon empties. On November 29th at 05:18 Mountain Standard Time, the new Moon arrives in Scorpio and Anuradha nakshatra. Moon is debilitated and sits with Sun and Saturn in the sign of depth, transformation and the hidden realms. Debilitated Moon turns inward, softens the expression of the Moon and requests deep contemplation. This coming waxing cycle brings changes in creativity and courage while the passion of the heart strengthens and awakens convictions and empowerment.

More details about the new Moon coming soon in my November New Moon Wisdom.

Horoscopes

Aries: It’s a powerful time for career as your planet of luck, Mars, is exalted in your 10th house this month. Take action with clarity, focus, determination and commitment. Some release of old fears clears as a new stability arrives. Trust your steps. Meanwhile, Sun is debilitated in your relationship house until mid month, which asks you to be steady, gentle and inward, more than outward. Relationships may prove challenging, confrontational, harsh and unsupportive in the coming weeks. Address your deeper needs and notice what your heart is truly asking for. Allow relationships, children and clients to truly awaken you. What do you need? What are they mirroring to you? Everything that arrives is a mirror of the self. Enjoy the November full Moon in Aries!

Taurus: Continue seeking the stability and support you deeply crave and yearn for- especially in your relationships. There is a powerful transformation taking place on this level for you this month. Get clearer about your needs and requirements with self and others so that you can express and communicate these needs more authentically and fully. There is healing taking place with your needs and a release of past hurts. Uproot and let go of the past. Shine the light on your dark places and lean in closer to your pain. It’s the only way you’ll be able to fully confront the challenges you are feeling. As you release, deepen your intentions for what you are inviting in. Give to others what you seek.

Gemini: Relationships and romance get your focus this month, requesting clarity, communication and creativity. You are working on releasing and healing some very old grief and pain. Your digestion is working over time to let the past go. Do everything you can to support your stomach, the release process and constipated grief sitting in your gut. Exalted Mars in your 8th house forces the issue and is blatant about making you confront your pain, challenges, illusions and past. Debilitated Sun in your 5th house requests gentleness and softness with children, romance, clients and your own power. If you’re forcing, you’re missing the messages. Let your heart guide you and allow its wisdom to support your journey of awakening. Lean in to your emotions and the stories they provoke.

Cancer: Passion is alive in your 7th house of relationships as Mars moves through its exaltation sign. This can have powerfully positive effects on relationships or very challenging and aggressive tendencies. There may be disappointments or overly high expectations with others right now. You’ll certainly be confronting your inner challenges and anger. What are the needs not being met? What do you need for more trust, safety and security? As Sun moves through its debilitation sign in your 4th house of emotions, heart and home, there’s softening and an inward pull. This requires your attention and intention. Honor your needs for soft, gentle landings. Notice where you are being aggressive with yourself, where you are in battle with yourself. Seek resolution, integration and harmony.

Leo: The self is still in shadow and illusion with Rahu in the first. Life and direction likely feels confusing and uncertain. Emotions may feel stuck and burdensome as you navigate very old grief and pain. It’s a radical time of confrontation and healing as Mars exalts in your 6th house of conflict and bad habits. Look directly at your challenges and hurts. Some of this pain is yours and some of it is very old, ancestral suffering that you need to let go of once and for all. Debilitated Sun in your 3rd house is challenging to your courage right now, but lean in any way. Soften through creativity, hands and vulnerability. Channel this softness into your dharmic work. Find new angles, new approaches to your offerings. Open new pathways and surrender to the transformation.

Virgo: You are learning and growing so much right now. Learning how to stabilize and ground, while deepening your relationship with self and others. The heart awakens this month and requests that you look closely at your needs- especially in regard to relationships. Integrate and harmonize self with others and notice where you’re not in right-relationship with either. Mars exalted in your 5th house increases passion, purpose and power. Courage is strong right now, but being in alignment with your action steps is crucial for balance and stability. Sun is debilitated in your 2nd house of nourishment and support until mid month. As Sun lands in Scorpio, courage requires that you face your grief and pain more directly. Past pain and hurts are effecting your ability to thrive and be nourished. Are you willing to look at your past and release it in order to make space for the new, the stable, the supportive, the loving and kind?

Libra: Your heart is on fire this month as Mars exalts in your 4th house of home and emotions. Seek balance and integration with your inner and outer waves. There’s an opportunity for greater stability and harmony right now, but you must pay attention to your needs- for nourishment, support and vitality. Let go of relationships that do not honor these needs. This includes certain relationships with your past- bad habits and behaviors and old personal mythology. Get creative and use your hands to connect, communicate and share. Get inspired and inspire others! Step into your courage and creativity more fully.

Scorpio: You are being squeezed and feeling pressure on multiple levels. The only solution is your immense creativity and courage to persevere. As your planet of luck exalts in Capricorn, your third house is enlivened with creativity, communication and courageous passion. Your creative powers are awake, so channel them fully. Open new pathways and say yes to more creativity, wealth, wellbeing and enthusiasm. Find integration between polarities, life and death, masculine and feminine, stability and chaos. Notice how your dysfunction and old patterns of self sabotage effect all levels of your life. Eradicate these old behaviors and personal mythology. The medicine is greater stability, grounding and embodiment. Reconnect. Notice the places you disconnect from your needs, your nourishment, your inner stability. Find your grounding cord and hang on.

Sagittarius: Your mouth is full of fire right now as exalted Mars moves through your 2nd house. A  renewed sense of power and purpose arrives and a need for comfort and support increases. Your next steps and dharmic action are still confusing and uncertain. Take action anyway. Allow yourself to be nourished through relationship this month. Connect, co-create, align and befriend self and others. Keep teaching and sharing through your wisdom, advice and awareness. As debilitated Sun moves through your 11th house, gains are somewhat challenged. You must release, before you can receive. This theme increases mid month once Sun moves to your 12th house. It’s time to hit reset. Let go and purge. What are you moving towards?

Capricorn: With exalted Mars in your first house, there is passion, power and strength arriving. Feel the dynamism! Relationships however are vulnerable and require your gentleness. Pause, land, ground. Lean in and listen. You may be pushing past important messages and missed opportunities for depth and awakening. Sun is debilitated in your 10th house of career until mid month. This requires your willingness to soften as well. Notice where you are pushing too hard and not paying attention to subtleties and inner awareness. Emotions are fiery and intense this month. Keep them moving and flowing, while grounding in the body. Teach what you learn.

Aquarius:
The intense desire for being alone, on retreat and on vacation increases while your passion and relationships begin to heat up. For some, relationships will continue to be a challenging illusion of disappointment and toxicity. Others will clarify and strengthen bonds with partners. Bottom line: get your needs met and notice where you are not being clear about your expectations and requests. This is a great time of clarification and learning about the heart. But you must dig into your depths to find the pearls of wisdom. Right now, soften and quiet yourself as much as you can. Debilitated Sun is asking you to come to stillness and learn from your quiet center. This shifts to a more outward focus mid month. Recharge now.

Pisces: Relationships are a stabilizing force for you right now. Ground, land and seek support from others. There are gains from reaching out, sharing and connecting. Exalted Mars in your 11th house increases gains, but request that you release and let go simultaneously. This is a call for integration and balance between yes and no, go and stop. Ultimate alignment with right-action is required for increases to be supported. Notice where you are forcing or pushing too hard. As debilitated Sun moves through your 8th house, shine the light on your past and lean in closer to pain, challenges and hurts- especially with relationships. Once Sun shifts to Scorpio, you will feel more dharmic support and focus. Find your passion and put it into action.
