The significance of this waning cycle is a strange mix of beginnings and returns. It may feel as though you are making a fresh start on some level, while multiple experiences make you feel otherwise. The pull, the desire for something new will be strong, yet with four of the nine planets retrograde (six counting the nodes), returns and retracing your steps will be forced and obligatory. You say you want something new, a fresh start, and yet there's a part of you saying it's not possible. Your job is to find all those places within you that are resisting and refusing your inner growth, the change process. This will be evident and necessary on all four levels of your being- Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual. Your bodies will bring the messages, so listen carefully to the challenges, reminders and desires returning. Venus in Aries On April 24th at 23:02, Venus moves from its harmonious sign of exaltation, where it received no gaze from the other planets, and crosses the tricky gandanta (gap) into the first sign of the zodiac, Aries. This is a challenging gap because of the endings and beginnings that it provokes, while also being the change between a water sign and fire sign. Inner polarities may intensify as a result. What are you identifying within your relationships, finances, comfort and creativity? Aries feels like an enemy to Venus because its watery wisdom does not care for the fiery, one-pointed nature of Aries, Sun's most potent sign. Sun and Venus are not fond of each other for the same reasons and water and fire don't mix. As these opposing forces conjunct with Mercury, changes take place within all four bodies- Physical, Spiritual, Mind and Emotions. Allow release and letting go to take place, in order for the new to arrive with more clarity. Notice which house Aries is in your jyotish chart. This will express where these challenges will effect you personally. This cycle brings a dramatic glimpse at parts of yourself that are in need of healing. Look at your bad habits directly as the light will be shining on them in order for you to truly see what needs to change. Your mental body will be a potent resource for this change process, so dig deeply to uncover all the places within your mind that are keeping you in the dark. Allow mental doors to open, to unveil the shadows that are holding you hostage. As you bring these parts of your unconscious territory to the surface, you can then find resources to further support your awakening. There will be a strong tug of war between polarities and opposition. Anger will be a default emotion in the coming weeks so start getting more intimate with its messages. Much of the agitation will be a result of frustrations, delays, set backs. The emotional body will be feeling pierced, subjected to pain and challenges, hurt and struggle. You are being handed an opportunity to face your pain more directly so that you can release it and transform it. But first, the battle begins. How do you fight with yourself? How long will you choose to stay in battle before dropping your arms? When will you start listening to what this battle is telling you, what it needs from you? As Venus continues through Aries, each of us will be given an opportunity to deepen the relationship with Self, with the inner realms. The starting point will be discomfort and challenge, but the end point is potentially a grande release, providing you with more space for creating what you truly desire in your life. It is a challenge worth taking on. But one that requires you begin a new path, take new footsteps and gather new guidance and support. Trying to get new results, by doing what you've been doing is a recipe for lack of progress and more intensified struggle. Do something different. It's time for change. Mercury Retrograde Just as Mercury moves to the edge of Aries, it begins to retrace its steps. Mercury has been transiting this fiery and aggressive sign since April 2nd. This mental body cycle has provoked the mind to feel fragile and agitated at times. A release process is being instigated. Notice where necessary clean-up and final release must take place. Honor this process of endings and beginnings. As Mercury transits its enemy's sign, the mind plunges into acute awareness, confronting and identifying with diligence. Do you notice or do you push past the messages? The mind requires your witnessing in this cycle- in order to work more consciously with mental body. Fiercely sift through the stories in the conscious mind. Bravely use this information to navigate and pull up old stories from the subconscious and unconscious parts of your being. This takes vigilance and dedication, yet is the only way to re-write old patterns and behaviors. There will be a sense of renewal and a new commitment to growth and life force in this cycle. Do you capitalize on this, or let it only be a subtle reminder of your greatness? Step into your power with new conviction, new authority. Clear away the challenges and obstacles and activate a more powerful way of being. Do this by working directly with what you encounter along the path. A strong desire to be more powerful and awake arrives with this cycle. Suddenly bigger, better, bolder actually feels possible, attainable. But the shadow lurks as a saboteur. With retrograde Jupiter and Rahu giving their gaze to Mercury, the expansion is possible, but not without attending to the limitations of the shadowed mind. Do you move towards this desire or let the old stories keep you in lack and limitation? Your mind determines your actions, so work with this old programming consciously to create new pathways and possibilities for yourself. Reprogramming the mind is a valuable use of your time and effort right now. As you move into expansion, notice where the blocks and obstacles come up. This is your limiting belief system at work. Be strategic with your growth process. Use a combination of resources that work with all four pathways of healing for best effects. EFT (emotional freedom technique), mental body therapies, meditation, art therapy, movement therapies, energy work, etc. Once Mercury retrogrades on April 28th, the mental body clean up will intensify. Retrograde planets act like the nodes Rahu and Ketu, which invites in more karmic experiences, more intensity. From April 28th to May 9th there will be four planets in retrograde motion- six counting the always retrograde karmic planets, Rahu and Ketu. Many returns will take place simultaneously- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This is a strong and powerful clean-up phase. Don't take it lightly. Use this period of time to diligently work through old stories, haunts and shadow parts that you notice re-emerging. You are getting an opportunity to hit rewind- a rare and beautiful gift as a human being. This time, reach out for different resources, something new. Find new support, guidance and wisdom to support your change process. New Moon in Aries and Bharani Nakshatra May 6th, sparks the beginning of the beginning. Renewal and openings roar in with a loud awakening. Heal, awaken and transform. Deepen your relationship with the Divine Feminine and your feminine wisdom. Aries: Your power is captivating- even to you! You are in an attractive cycle, work it like bees to honey. There are parts of you saying no to the pleasure, ease and increases. It's vital that you look at these limiting beliefs within, in order to maximize the potency of this time. The places where you are resisting your strength and pleasure, are ultimately effecting your relationship with your inner power. Where there is pain, there is also joy. Where there is joy, there is also pain. Notice how your relationships can also mirror very acutely this story about receiving. Where are you saying no to receiving more abundance in your life? Start here. Taurus: Your inner Sun is being asked to bow down and renounce its thrown. As challenging as this may feel, there is great opportunity in the discomfort. Your ego is getting an overhaul in the process and a certain liberation is taking place. Surrender to the moments of release and letting go. Your spikes and edges are being worn down in order for your heart to expand more deeply. Clear the shadows out of your heart space by looking intimately at your relationships. You are saying yes and no simultaneously. You are creating the challenges, conflicts and obstacles. Harmonize these polarities in order to find clarity about what you need, about what works for you and your life. If you're addicted to the pain, seek to find resolution with this. Ask for more support. Gemini: Bad habits are your starting point. Where do you continue to struggle, stay in the dark and use shadow as your vice? Part of you wears your suffering as a badge, the other part of you says it wants liberation, freedom, release. There can be no ease without harmony. Identify all the parts of you saying no to softness, ease and comfort. All the places that refuse to let you have peace. Gains come when you find the places within you that are still resisting. Inner conflicts are keeping you from attaining inner harmony. They are zapping you of power, strength and clarity. It doesn't have to be so hard. There is a simpler way. Find the way of least resistance. Cancer: There is a certain strength, power and brilliance showing up in your work right now. Get seen, noticed and allow people hear your message. Parts of you are saying yes to more power and pleasure, more nourishment and money in life. But fears and doubts are plaguing you, pushing you towards the no and the lack instead. It is an old fear- rooted in uncertainty and instability. Fear of the unknown. It effects your ability to say yes to your life, to your self and to your dreams and desires. It's time to look at this fear straight on. You want the expansion and growth in your life, but you won't be able to find it without being honest about your resistance to it. It's time to find harmony between the yes and the no. Leo: Polarities are working their magic on you as challenges give rise to clarity within. When you can address the conflicts within you directly, deep inner change can begin. These polarities effect your sense of strength and power, your heart wisdom and ability to give and receive love. Conflicts with your dharmic path vs. career path will begin to intensify in the coming weeks. Part of you is saying yes, while the rest of you is saying no. Find all of the yes's and all of the no's. Notice where these inner conflicts are keeping you stuck, resistant, avoidant and not in your dynamic, Leo power place. Letting go is essential for your growth. Where you are gripping too tightly? Allow harmony to support your release process. Virgo: Continue to shine the light on your inner darkness. Keep finding all those places where you are suppressing your strength, power and greatness. This requires consistent, courageous steps and a willingness to stay true to your course of action. Digging deeply will help you discover the places within you that stay in lack, debt, pain and struggle. Part of you doesn't believe there is another way- or that you deserve it. Part of you is more than ready to say yes. Your courage to uncover your darkness and bring in the light, will take you far. Gather new wisdom and support for your liberation process. You'll get radically different results during this transformational time. Libra: Relationships are a powerful mirror for you right now. They are showing you challenges and difficulties, places that make you feel uncomfortable in your power and strength. Are you in right-relationship with your power? Does it feel harmonious and peaceful when you use it? Or do you use anger as your method of power? You are stuck in a paradigm of wanting more nourishment, while also saying no to it. This confusion is creating inner conflicts with yourself and others. Harmonizing your extremes is the only way to create more clarity about what you really need. Nature can't provide for you until you know for certain what you need. This inner knowing arrives when inner battles find resolution. Quit fighting. Seek balance. Scorpio: Deep healing can take place if you allow yourself to re-trace some old, familiar steps. Cover the territory of your heart with new creativity, new courage. Step into your warrior spirit and honor your inner strength. There are parts of you that still don't trust or accept your inner power. These are the pieces that must be integrated and harmonized so the you can step into your power more fully, in a more awake way. Channel this power effectively and turn it into an offering for others. Let your power be known, let it be seen and heard. Why are you still hiding? Where are you still shrouded by your past? Sagittarius: You are working intimately with power and strength right now. Learning how to step into empowerment more clearly, while figuring out how to use this power to move you forward. Your gut intelligence is a vital part of this process. Listen carefully to the messages arriving within. Intuition is your ultimate power; unwavering inner knowing. This inner awareness will help you clarify your dharmic path and purpose. Seek to harmonize the parts of you that say yes to a more fruitful and passionate life and integrate them with the places you are still saying no through resistance, avoidance and self sabotage. Liberation is possible right now, but only with greater awareness about what you're actually letting go. Capricorn: Your heart is teaming with power and potential. Passion and inner fires are being stoked. Reside and linger in this place of warmth and strength. Your power comes from within. Can you find its source? Beyond the conflicts and struggles, the pain and the torment, is a place of stability, grounding and unwavering earth energy. Deepen your relationship with this inner grounding force. What are the resources that help you connect with this place of resolution? Beyond the battle ground of right and wrong, is this place of deep inner knowing and certainty. This is where all your strength lies and where gains are acquired. Keep leaning in and saying yes to this certainty. You actually do know. Aquarius: Your awakening continues to take shape from head to toe. Creative courage is taking place, but requires your diligent action steps and some re-programming on your part. Start with your mind and re-pattern from inside to outside. This will pave the way for new possibilities and greater potential in your life. Relationships will still be supporting your change process- if you use them for teaching you about yourself. There are struggles and gains with "the other", but if you can use both as a resource for inner growth, it's only going to be a win. Career steps may be frustrating. Harmonize action steps with attentive pauses. You'll get a lot more done. Pisces: Nourishment continues to play a key role in your path right now. With Venus newly in your 2nd house, conjunct exalted Sun and Mercury, watch for resistance, struggle and conflict with your needs. Part of you desires more, but part of you is saying no simultaneously. Find those places within that are refusing to accept more life force, more nourishment, money, love and comfort. This is a great source of healing for you. Clean up these conflicts, and you'll be cleaning up some very old habits that keep you from stepping into your power more fully. Freeing up more power and clarity will do wonders for your dharmic path. Heal, awaken and transform. Deepen your relationship with the Divine Feminine and your feminine wisdom. This Week's Intention: Part of you is ready to awaken, the other part of you is resisting. Part of you is moving forward, while the rest of you is moving in reverse. Where are you in conflict with opening and closing? Seek to unite these opposing forces within. The week begins with a debilitated Moon sandwiched in between retrograde Saturn and Mars. This puts pressure on the emotional body and stirs conflicting feelings. Transformation is afoot. Can you feel it? By the end of the week there will be four of the nine planets in retrograde motion (six, counting the always retrograde nodes, Rahu and Ketu). Returns are inevitable. Wherever transiting Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and Mercury are moving through your personal jyotish chart, you can expect returns in these areas of your life. Themes surface of inner transformation, personal power and sense of self worth. Where are you saying yes within? Where are you saying no? Look for these conflict zones within your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual bodies. Monday, April 25th Moon in 4th tithi Chaturthi Moon continues through Anuradha nakshatra until midmorning when it shifts into Jyeshtha nakshatra. Moon is neatly sandwiched in between two challenging planets- Mars and Saturn- both retrograde. There is pressure, heat and conflict being provoked. Saturn and Mars represent opposing forces, while Scorpio increases the symbol of polarities and seeking transformation. The mental body will be your most potent resource for change today. How are the inner conflicts keeping you locked in old programming, stories and limiting beliefs? How do they zap you of your power, focus, clarity and ease? Seek harmony with these extremes, the yes and the no. What do they really need for deep surrender? As Moon shifts to the other side of Saturn early evening and out of the intense conjunction of being in-between both Mars and Saturn, some relief will be felt. Notice your feelings change late evening and invite in a new wave of possibility. Tuesday, April 26th Moon in 5th tithi Panchami Today may feel like a chaos day as Moon shifts into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra mid morning. Retrograde Jupiter and Rahu give their gaze. Chaos gives you direct access to your polarities, the energies that are stirred when opposing forces collide. Ruling deity Nirrti purposely works with chaos as a means of keepoing you from your dharmic path. Her darkness breeds adharma, or lack of dharma, which is why she's considered a Rakshasi, a female demon. Your lack of clarity is Nirrti, as well as your invitation to chaos and overwhelm, stress and the shadow. The solution is dissolving the conflicts within, finding unity, harmony, yoga. Take extra time today for sacred pause, deep listening, meditation, honoring your needs and finding creative solutions. Don't feed the darkness, honor it and set yourself free. Integrate dark and light forces within. Wednesday, April 27th Moon in 6th tithi Sashti Late morning, Moon shifts to Purvashada nakshatra and the strength of Apas arrives with clearing, purification and cleansing. Her watery wisdom is not always gentle, but insures change and transformation by default. Ruled by Venus, this nakshatra will invite issues with power, sense of self, and a certain stubborn tenacity with it. Where are you being too rigid? Where do you need to surrender to the flow more? These polarities are at play and magnifying the need for integration. Can you find the middle of yes and no? Find the places within your mind that are showing mirroring your own rigidity and resistance. Allow the softening, the loosening of what is gripping you. If you're serious about creating inner harmony, yoga, within all four bodies, please join me for my new Jyotish Astrology Course for Transformation and Healing. Email Me For Details: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Thursday, April 28th Moon in 7th tithi Saptami As Moon shifts to the latter half of the Ashada constellation, Uttarashada, late morning, the Sun's energy takes over. Whereas yesterday a Venus quality was offered, today has a different tone. Sun is currently exalted and conjunct its enemy, Venus, as well as Mercury, who is at the edge of Aries. The expression of the Sun is hot and will bring heat to feelings, relationships, money and the mental body, while provoking its clear agenda. The masculine nature of the Sun is in direct conflict with the watery, feminine expression of Venus, while Mercury (the mind) follows the orders of its king directly. The Vishvadevas preside over this nakshatra, requesting right action, integrity and alignment with the Laws of Nature on multiple levels of life. Today may have strong flavors of right and wrong arriving. Your job is to seek the middle ground. Notice where you tend to stay in black and white. Find the gray and linger. Late afternoon, Moon moves to earthy Capricorn, receiving gaze from Saturn directly. The emotional body is extra sensitive and will request stability and support. Get physical and move the emotions before they get stuck in a lingering mood. Friday, April 29th Moon in 8th tithi Ashtami Moon moves through Capricorn with Saturn's gaze. The coming days will require structure, support, timeliness and consistent action steps in order to accomplish or achieve. Working with the needs of the physical body and balancing rest and activity will be essential. The emotional body may be depressed, agitated or extra porous, so honor the needs of your watery wisdom with attentiveness. Early morning, Moon moves through the sacred portal and 28th nakshatra, Abhijit. This is considered a special junction point with specific spiritual connections. Use your morning for spiritual practices, deep listening, and spiritual body presence. As Moon shifts into Vishnu's domain, Sravana nakshatra, just before noon, a certain connection to expansion arrives. Vishnu and akasha (space) exist everywhere, bringing dharma, truth (sattya) and powerful wisdom with him. Attend to you sacred steps today. Honor your path with devotion, commitment and attend to your inner wisdom. Align with spirit today and ask for extra support and clarity. Saturday, April 30th Moon in 9th tithi Navami Late morning, Moon shifts to Dhanishta nakshatra, the domain of the Vasu Devas, or the light bearers. They bring light, awareness, truth and clarity, while supporting manifestation on the material plane. The Vasu Devas originated from jyoti, light, and therefor are the originators of Jyotish. There is a strong desire to achieve and create with this nakshatra and as the ruling planet Mars expresses, this is not an idle star. Use your time wisely today. Notice where you are stuck, restricted, frozen and resistant to creating change in your powerful life. Look for the conflicts within you between yes and no. What does the "no" need? Lean in and listen, let the tension and pressure dissolve and release. Late evening, Moon shifts to Aquarius, joining Ketu here. Retrograde Jupiter and Rahu give their direct gaze, as does Mars. The emotional body may feel extra heat and pressure in order to expand in the coming days. Soften your steps and lean in closer, rather than pushing or forcing outcomes. Sunday, May 1st Moon in 10th tithi Dashami Moon continues in Dhanishta until late morning, shifting to Satabisha around 10:30. Varuna's nakshatra brings a stern and punishing gaze to all. He has a certain agenda, one that forces order, restriction, "right" and "wrong". Disobeying his laws will bring afflictions to health and well-being. He sees everything and nothing gets past him. Today it is necessary to follow his orders, align with Natural Laws and cycles. Eat on time, rest on time, eat nourishing foods and balance rest and activity. Moon's conjunction with Ketu will insist that you simplify and cut out anything that brings disconnection or disassociation to your being. Keep it simple, get embodied, go for nourishment. Release and transform. Monday, May 2nd Moon in 11th tithi Ekadashi The week begins with Moon in close conjunction with Ketu, moving through Aquarius and Purvabhadra Nakshatra. Duality is strong today, yet there is great possibility for awakening the inner conflicts very consciously as a result. Aquarius exemplifies two paths, opposing forces- opens and closes. Ruling deity Ajaikapada strengthens the polarity dance with his "foot in two worlds" expression. He begins the release and transformation process that the latter half of this constellation, finishes off. Open the door of your awakening process. Notice where you are stepping forward and where you seem to be stepping backwards. Where is the tension between opening and closing? * All timing is in Mountain Daylight Time- one hour ahead of Pacific Time, one hour behind Central Time and two hours behind Eastern Time. Whatever you're calling into your life- wanting, desiring, creating- there are guaranteed obstacles in your way. This may sound pessimistic, but the simple truth is, if there weren't obstacles keeping you from having what you want, what you desire, you'd already have your goal accomplished.
These obstacles and challenges that are keeping you away from your desired goal or outcome are necessary change agents- if you know how to work with them directly. I often speak about being grateful for challenges and obstacles for this very reason. If you didn't have these challenges, you wouldn't grow very much in this lifetime. That said, too often people do not know how to work with their challenges effectively. They don't continue to gather new resources, they don't reach out for guidance and support, and they don't keep up the consistent work it takes for sustainable results. Getting a new resource here and there, some guidance and support periodically, but not taking consistent, daily measures to create inner change, will not get you the outcome you desire. And certainly not quickly. There are many reasons people don't take consistent, effective action steps for creating life change. Reasons why people don't change, why life never gets better, smoother, more harmonious and nourishing. The most common factors are resistance, avoidance, self sabotage, chaos addiction, high pain tolerance (usually connected to pain addiction). The reality is that life could be radically different tomorrow, just by making different choices today. We all have this option. I find it curious why so often we don't. Why so many people keep choosing ill health, bad relationships, being poor, malnourishment, disempowered, etc. over and over and over again. Why stay in the lack? When these stories can change? I am fascinated by the process of creating life change, and what the factors are that necessitate the change process. Truthfully, every human being on the planet is a powerful creator. Each of us is here to create the most powerful life we can imagine. And yet the grande majority of humans do not. They choose not to live their full potential- or even a small percentage of it. I've never been satisfied with this story, when I know that every human is capable of so much more! Herein lies the biggest part of the change process: potential. It's here. Like a seed. It just needs the right conditions in order for the growth process to take place. That's where you come in. That's where your seed tending requires willingness and diligence. Each one of us gets to decide what types of seeds we choose to grow- more weeds or something more brilliant, more fruitful. As the theory of epigenetics states- conditions, choices, environment and behavior have more to do with a person's life experiences, than genetics. Quite simply, it's your choices that determine what genes are turned on and which ones are turned off. What you choose to turn on and off is solely determined by your choices. This is the free will expressed in your jyotish chart. The reason why a chart expresses the karmas you've arrived with (that which can't be changed), yet the rest is an expression of tendencies, not precise outcomes. Thankfully, you can change much of your chart, your karmas, and create very different results for yourself. I am passionate about helping my clients see the possibilities they have karmically and supporting their change process. After all, being alive in a human body means there is potential for growth, evolution, change, awareness and expansion of consciousness. Why be here on the planet if you have no ability to change your life circumstances? I continue to study the change process, which in my eyes is the healing process. Healing is not a linear process, neither is change. The resources I use for creating change, support the Four Pathways of Healing, in order for well-rounded, fully integrated healing to take place. But all healing starts with identification. Which is why I love jyotish so much. It is the ideal resource for identifying blockages, challenges, obstacles. Remember these factors are the change agents that support your healing process. This is truly step number one. Every challenge, obstacle or struggle in your way to changing, is a result of inner conflict- polarities that are not in harmony with each other. The outcome you desire would easily arrive, if it weren't for this inner battle. The reality is that part of you wants to change, while another part of you does not. It's vital to identify these two parts of yourself in order to heal and transform. If you're serious about creating inner harmony, yoga, within all four bodies, please join me for my new Jyotish Astrology Course for Transformation and Healing. I'm still accepting a few more students into the group but you must register before April 30th. Email Me For Details: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com So what's the fast path to healing, transforming and creating change? Here are my six steps for creating lasting change and diffusing inner conflict: 1) Acknowledge and Identify What's Not Working. What challenge, obstacle or struggle are you facing? What level of your being is this obstacle manifesting on? Physical, Mental, Emotional, or Spiritual? Perhaps one or more levels of your being is being effected. Take note of where and how this challenge is emerging within you. This is the first step to creating change. Using your jyotish chart to clarify how these challenges are effecting you will support swift and lasting change. For example if you are struggling with finances and lack of money, this will be apparent in your jyotish chart- possibly through Venus or the Second House. It may be an imbalance (ie: conflict between opposing forces) that is rooted in the mental body, but effecting your physical body. 2) Identify Polarities. Once you identify what is not working, what the challenge or obstacle is, you can identify what the conflict truly is. Remember that whatever the desire, whatever you say you want to create in your life, always has another side that isn't in agreement. The conflict will always sounds something like "I want this but". Listen to the "but" because this is other side, the duality that is keeping you from creating your desire and manifesting it. Part of you wants the change. Part of you does not. You must start here in order to get somewhere else. 3) Find the Need. Now that you have identified the challenge and the opposing forces within you, it's time to acknowledge the needs that each of these parts has. Part of you wants the change, part of you does not. Listen closely to the part of you that does not want the change. This part of you is a vital messenger- the part of you that will disclose the reason for your resistance, avoidance, self sabotage, etc. Ask this part of you what it needs. "I hear you do not want this change. What do you need from me? What are you trying to tell me?" Imagine yourself asking a small child, a loved one, or perhaps a client. Let this part of you speak and share with you. 4) Honor Your Polarities. So you have these two parts. One says I want this change, the other part of you says it does not. You've asked, you've listened to this part of you that says "no" and you've heard it whisper a message to you. You're leaning in. You're listening. You're honoring. Just by listening and acknowledging, you are honoring. When you honor, you are present, holding, giving space to parts of yourself that may have never been witnessed before. Honoring means offering loving kindness, compassion and on some level, acceptance, for these parts within that may not be speaking to each other, that may have never learned how to speak to you, let alone to each other. 5) Opening to Harmony and Integration. Something begins to dissolve, loosen its grip, when it gets heard, acknowledged and spoken. When the darkness and challenges that are so often suppressed and locked away, hidden within, emerge on the surface of our being and they are honored, change can take place. As you honor your inner conflicts and their needs, a new possibility can emerge. You may even say to yourself "I am open to the possibility of finding a new way of being with these two parts of myself." As you open to new possibilities, you open the door of harmony and integration automatically. Notice how this possibility feels within you. Do you feel some softening arrive, just saying yes to possibility alone? 6) Stay Open to Possibility. As you continue to say yes to the possibility of finding a new way of being with your inner conflict, these opposing forces within you, keep allowing the possibility to arrive. Keep saying yes to the possibility of finding a new way of being with your opposing forces- the yes and the no. Acknowledge that you don't know what this looks like, what it feels like, what this means for you and your life. But simultaneously, keep saying yes to the possibility that there is a way. There is a way to find harmony and integration with your inner conflicts, with the part that says yes to change and no to change. This is a vital step in the change and transformation process. The mental body far too often "needs to know" an outcome, which can stop you from staying open and receptive to possibility and new pathways. Try to stay out of the "how" and stay in the "I'm open and receptive to a new way". 7) Finding Unity. Unifying polarities has a distinct feeling. It brings ease, release, softness and a certain gentleness with it. Often it is marked with a swelling of gratitude, love, joy and peace. The conflict dissolves and more fluidity takes its place. There is no force- just surrender to the flow of energy. Unifying polarities can take moments, or it can take days, weeks or months- depending on how effectively you are working with the layers of resistance. Continuing to arrive into the "possibility" of harmonizing your opposing forces, opens the door to creating more dialogue between these different parts of yourself. Continue to hold the different parts of your being and allow them to be witnessed, acknowledge and listened to. This is a process of learning how to love and accept all parts of yourself, which is essentially how inner unity takes place. These seven steps are greatly supported with resources, tools and modalities that create energetic shifts on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body levels. You can also use these steps directly with your tapping (EFT) process, as well as embodiment and art therapy processes. The path from challenge and conflict, to inner harmony and unity, is supported with deep listening, acceptance, allowing needs to emerge, while staying open to possibility, but staying out of the "how". Balance is achieved through a process of integrating and harmonizing inner polarities- on all four levels of your being. The true meaning of balance is unifying the opposing forces within the bodies- mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. This is the path of yoga, union, and includes the integration of masculine and feminine polarities. As you keep dipping into the unity and finding the harmony within, the energy being used to stay in battle with yourself, dissolves, releases and transforms. Suddenly this inner power unleashes your creative intelligence and you are moving swiftly towards your goals and desires- with clarity, purpose and deep inner knowing. You are a powerful force! Dissolve the inner battles and reclaim your power. Throughout the Vedic texts, there are countless tales of good forces battling evil forces, the light always overtaking the darkness. One of the most potent example of dissolving inner conflict between opposing forces, is depicted in the Bhagavad Gita. Arjuna contemplates whether to fight his family members in order to restore dharma. It is a timeless battle between polarities, duality- one that is expressed both internally and externally for Arjuna. This battle mirrors the story each one of us faces daily- as we choose to take on inner conflict, or choose to avoid it. Avoiding does not make it go away. Lord Krishna was clear to Arjuna that he must go into battle, he must address this conflict head on. This is my philosophy for healing and transformation. By using our warrior spirit, we can make great strides quickly, and restore balance, harmony and dharma- inner and outer. The Bhagavad Gita speaks of the path to yoga, to moksha or liberation using jnana (knowledge, especially through experience), bhakti (devotion on the heart level), karma (action), Raja Yoga (transcendence or samadhi), samkhya (philosophy). These are resources for awakening pathways of change and transformation. They also uphold and support change on the four levels of being- Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual. The steps I've outlined above are an expression of this inner change process, the process of resolution or inner harmony. Balance, peace and integration do not come from force or brutality, but from acceptance, acknowledgment, compassion and honoring. When all parts of our being feel safe, feel held and supported, then, and only then, can inner unity take place. If you're serious about creating inner harmony, yoga, within all four bodies, please join me for my new Jyotish Astrology Course for Transformation and Healing. Email Me For Details: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com This Week's Intention: Harmonize extremes, find balance within. Where are your inner conflicts keeping you from the nourishment you crave? What external mirrors are showing you where your internal disharmony is? Seek unity, seek yoga. Moon continues to wax this week, filling and becoming full on Thursday. As the Moon moves towards Purnima, a swelling of the inner tides will be felt. Ride the waves and feel the emotional body increase its wisdom. Are you listening? With three major planets now retrograde (Saturn, Mars and Jupiter) you are being asked to make multiple returns. Expect to be revisiting physical and spiritual bodies in new ways, though the emotional body will be your most potent guide. Inner conflicts may increase as Sun and Venus are exalted simultaneously, however this will be mirrored to you through external conflicts. Who are you blaming or accusing? These battles are within you. Seeking integration with your polarities is the only path for unity. Monday, April 18th Moon in 12th and 13th tithi Dvadasi to Trayodasi Moon continues through Leo, but enters Uttaraphalguni around 11 am MDT. This is the latter half of the Phalguni constellation, which is ruled by Aryaman and the Sun. The ancestors provide the nourishment and support in this constellation and they do so through integrity and sustainability. They also support those actions that align with long term vision, goals and steadfast connection and relationship. Think sustainably today. What do you need to do in order for lasting strength and connection? What is working? What isn't? What needs do you have moving forward? Your power source is strong right now- and amplified today with this Sun ruled nakshatra. Say yes to your inner power and align with its strength, wisdom and right-action. Gather resources, support and guidance to strengthen your journey. Early evening, Moon moves to Virgo, the territory of Mercury and the Maiden with a water pot. She seeks to be filled, to contain and flow, to harmonize masculine and feminine energies. Moon will be out of the gaze of the other planets in the coming days, which will support the emotional body. However, Moon is transiting the territory of the mind, so expect a conscious dance between the two. Tame the mind. Listen to the emotions. Land in the body. Tuesday, April 19th Moon in 13th tithi Trayodasi Moon continues through Uttaraphalguni nakshatra the majority of the day. Sun and the deity Arayaman rule this domain. Arayman rules over marriage and blesses couples with lasting unity. Fruits are available to those who seek the light and honor integrity, consistent action steps and their dharma. Sun is strong, powerful and committed to action right now as it continues to move through its sign of exaltation, Aries. Cut away that which is keeping you dis-empowered and in the dark. Who and what are you blaming for your own misery? These challenges are a mirror to you. They are a gift in disguise. The only way to freedom is to harmonize inner conflicts, to seek resolution with your inner battles. This is the path of yoga. The way to be in relationship with the self- through loving kindness. Early afternoon, Moon shifts to Hasta nakshatra and Savitr brings his light, his dawn. Brahmins worship Savitr as he determines all births, including the lagna, or rising sign. Savitr creates life, as he is light. What is life without light? Move towards the light, move towards life. Let the light awaken you. Pay attention to insights and new awareness that arrive today. You'll have to be present in order to catch the wisdom, but Savitr promises great truth if you pause and listen. Wednesday, April 20th Moon in 14th tithi Chaturdashi Moon continues through Savitr's domain the majority of the day, bringing more support with awakening. The emotional body brings the wisdom. Being in touch with your emotional body, having emotional body literacy, is essential for connecting with the depth and awareness arriving. The feminine wisdom is connected to this feeling level. Allow Her into your life. Allow Her abundance to bless you. Be open to receive. Increasing your receptivity is the fast path to awakening. Early evening Moon shifts to Chitra, Vishvakarma's constellation. He is a worker, a doer, a creator and a builder. He does not sit idle. As his name expresses, he is full of Karma, action. As an incarnation of Lord Brhama, he support the manifestation process. It's your consistent actions that support your creative power. Mars is the planetary ruler of this star. As he retrogrades back through Scorpio, it's an opportunity to retrace your steps, to improve on steps you missed previously. Anger and frustration are a reminder that you are not in right-relationship with your actions. Retrograde Saturn is driving this point home for you. Harmonize these polarities. The doing, vs. the being. Thursday, April 21st Moon in 15th tithi Purnima Mid morning, Moon moves to Libra, receiving drishti (gaze) from Ketu, exalted Sun and Mercury. It's a full Moon day! Which means the emotional body is full and your cup will be running over. Moon continues through Chitra nakshatra, increasing the energy of Mars today. Anger and frustration may be felt in the emotional body, as well as the opposite expression- which is the feminine wisdom of divine universal love. Expansion vs. contraction. Which energy are you aligned with? What can your inner conflicts share with you about your need for safety and certainty? As Moon shifts into Swati nakshatra in the evening, Vayu's powerful movement arrives. Full Moon is in Libra and Swati nakshatra at 23:23 MDT. It is also the celebrated birth day of Lord Hanuman, the beloved monkey god that saved Sita from the wrath of the demon Ravana and brought her home safely to Ayodhya and Lord Raam. Hanuman is a Rudra, meaning he has immense strength, power and sheer force available to him. This strength was given to him by Vayu, the wind god, and father of both Bhima and Hanuman. Hanuman reminds us of righteous action, using our power and strength for conquering evil and restoring balance, while always upholding dharma. Moon is reflecting the energy of its enemy sign, Libra at this time. Libra's constant quest for balance is too unstable for the Moon, which prefers equanimity. The constant fluctuations with Libra are overwhelming for the emotional body and at times this induces a sense of "crazy making". The root of the Libra nature is to explore all sides, all territory, in order to draw a conclusion, a resounding yes- to find truth. Until all paths are explored, all possibilities acknowledged, there is not certainty. This full Moon, offers great possibility, though it may increase ambiguity in the process. If you can harness this "unknown" territory and use it as a resource for trusting the process, for being nourished by potential, then you have a recipe for success. Far too often, the lack of certainty pushes people into resistance, avoidance, delusion, rather than confronting the unknown head on. The cycle ahead will force this need. The need to stay in the gray, the back and forth. Harvest your inner knowing by moving in between the range of options. Stay in the realm of all possibilities. Stay open to the yes and the no. The need for openness will become extra important (and thus extra challenging) in the cycle to come because of the nature of the current transits. Exalted Sun can force conclusions and stubbornness that do not leave you open to receive. Three retrograde planets (four once Mercury goes retro on the 28th) will increase the challenges with receptivity. Polarities are increasing. Do you resist their invitation to address inner conflicts? Or do you invite in the ambiguity that they force upon you? Lean into the uncertainty. There is great wisdom here in the unknown. The emotional body will lead the way, showing you with discomfort or ease, where to look more deeply. Read More About the Full Moon Full Moon Creative Ritual Class This Sunday!! Join me Sunday, April 24th at 11am MDT Join the Class List Friday, April 22nd Moon in 1st tithi Pratipad Moon continues through Swati nakshatra today, inviting in strong movement- either gentle or fierce. How do you work with the winds- inner and outer? Do you get blown away, or harness the power? Channel the pranic winds with intelligence and you will get a lot accomplished. Moon is still full and the emotional body will be stimulated and awake, potent and alive. Flow with the currents, not against. Strength is available today, but outcomes can change quickly. Go for inner stability. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to Vishaka nakshatra. The duality of Indra and Agni will carry through tomorrow. Integrate polarities and harmonized extremes. Saturday, April 23rd Moon in 2nd tithi Dvitiya Duality is strong today as Moon moves through Libra (balancing opposing forces) and the mixed nakshatra Vishaka which symbolizes two forces- king and priest. The reality is that both king and priest are inter-dependent upon each other and if they work together a lot can be accomplished. Seek unity between duality, between your polarities. Find the middle ground where they come together. Seek harmony. What does each part of you want? What are the needs? Lean in and listen to each side. The power is in the honoring of the needs, your inner diversity. Early evening, Moon moves to Scorpio, joining retrograde Saturn and Mars here. Moon will feel heat and pressure in the coming days. Go slow, seek steady steps. Don't push or force. Venus is at the very edge of Pisces, leaving its exaltation sign for Aries. Ending are present as Venus moves from the final sign of the zodiac, to the beginning. Notice where you need to find release with relationships, money, comforts, health and love. What needs to be let go of so you can invite in the new? Where are you gripping or holding too tightly? Sunday, April 24th Moon in 3rd tithi Tritiya Moon transits Scorpio, its debilitation sign for the next 2.5 days, conjunct retrograde Saturn and Mars. The heat and pressure on the Moon from Saturn and Mars will increase frustrations and delays. Surrender to slow, inward and receptive needs. Pushing or forcing will increase challenges and obstacles. Get embodied and seek inner balance between opposing forces. As Moon moves into Anuradha nakshatra early am, the physical body becomes even more important. Sensitivity is high and over stimulation will happen quickly. Protect yourself in the coming days and find ways to gather yourself with sacred pause and deep listening. Moon is in exact conjunction with retrograde Mars around midnight. Watch for sudden outbursts of anger, frustration or heat. Find ways to channel this energy effectively so that it isn't suppressed or displaced. Strong devotional qualities can also emerge. Let the emotions move and flow. Touch your power. At 23:02, Venus moves from its harmonious sign of exaltation, where it received no gaze from the other planets, and crossed the tricky gandanta (gap) into the first sign of the zodiac, Aries. This is a challenging gap because of the endings and beginnings that it provokes, while also being the change between a water sign and fire sign. Inner polarities may intensify as a result. What are you identifying? Aries is an enemy to Venus because its watery wisdom does not care for the fiery, one-pointed nature of Aries, Sun's most potent sign. Sun and Venus are not fond of each other for the same reason- water and fire don't mix. As these opposing forces conjunct with Mercury, changes take place within all four bodies- physical, spirit, mind and emotions. Allow release and letting go to take place, in order for the new to arrive with more clarity. Full Moon Creative Ritual Class This Sunday! The imbalances of Libra can find harmony, through the pranic winds. Unify and harmonize through the breath, the ultimate balancing factor. The physical body is your channel, your container, for deep alignment. It holds the wisdom of all four bodies simultaneously. It can support and integrate them, or disrupt and cause disharmony. It is said in Ayurveda that when Vata dosha, or air/wind, is in balance, the other doshas fall into place. Use the physical body to support right-relationship with all four bodies. Saturn is considered exalted in Libra and his current retrograde motion will force you to re-evaluate missing pieces, missing links in your self care during the coming cycle. What is working? What is not? Venus rules Libra and the relationship planet will be causing the mirror of "the other" to be addressed in potent ways. Once Venus shifts to Aries on the 24th, joining its enemy, the Sun here, challenges may increase with relationships, finances, health, vitality, comfort and those things that Venus represents. As the planet of harmony, Venus feels too heated with the flame of the Sun. This is a powerful time to seek alignment within. The mirror of conflict, challenge and uncertainty will force you to look at parts of yourself that need resolution. Most people disregard conflicts with others, with money, or with health- and don't use them as a resource for awakening. The mirror you don't want to look at is the most perfect reflection of your inner terrain, the pieces within you that need harmony and integration. Rather than avoiding or neglecting these messages, use them. Conflict, challenge, difficulty- it is the ultimate resource for your enlightenment. These inner conflicts are often disguised as confusion, uncertainty or chaos. Or they can show up as resistance, avoidance and neglect. Humans react to their inner conflicts in some interesting ways. Often there is blame toward others. The irony of this blame is that every mirror shown to us, is actually a part of our own being that we are in conflict with on some level. The coming Waning Moon Cycle will test your ability to work with your inner conflicts. Some people will be presented with more external challenges, others will experience more inner conflicts. Most people will have a bit of both. However these challenges present themselves, you can use this Creative Ritual to support your awakening process. 1) Identify the challenge. What is not working? Where are you stuck or feeling the obstacles within? What challenges are you facing externally? 2) Create an image of your challenge. What does it feel like? Use pastels or paints, collage or clay to create an image of your challenge. What colors arrive? What textures? Allow this creative process to deepen your relationship with the challenge. 3) On the back of your image, give it a title. Then ask your image to speak to you. If it had a message for you, what would it say? Then ask your challenge to tell you what it needs from you. What does this challenge need? What is it asking of you? 4) Get embodied. Use your image to invoke a movement exploration. Move in response to your image. Let your body express and speak the message of your image. Move for 5 to 10 minutes. Life is full of polarities. I'm convinced that's all there is! As well as what emerges when two opposing forces merge and co-create. In the Expressive Art Therapy realm, we call this "the Third". Some know it as the Transcendent, or simply the emergent. The sign Gemini in fact symbolizes this creative process, as it expresses "the Third" quite literally. Not only is Gemini a number three, but in the Vedic tradition, the symbol is two lovers who co-create, bringing forth a third energy. I have been particularly interested in polarities myself because my personal jyotish chart is full of them! This began to fascinate me (or challenge me rather) many years ago when I began studying my chart. I knew there were extremes presented, and I experienced them within me, yet I didn't know how to reconcile this. Starting with a Scorpio ascendant- which truly symbolizes the transformational energy of polarities combining. I also have a powerful combination of fire and water in my chart. And we all know what happens when fire and water meet! This theme of fire and water began to emerge over and over again in my paintings and movement practice. The polarities wouldn't leave me alone! I have danced with the question of integration for years, and recently I had a break through! If you're interested in your inner harmony, read on! And join me for my new, revolutionary weekly Jyotish Astrology Group Coaching Classes just for women. Jyotish speaks to the mystery of polarities very intimately. Each sign in fact shares some level of this dance between polarities. Other parts of jyotish express polarities in different ways- whether it is through the masculine and feminine, the elements, the deities, Natural Laws, cycles, rhythms, life and death, Sun and Moon, inner realms and outer realms, etc. Because Vedic Astrology is a science based on the cosmos, it is deeply connected to cycles, rhythms and movement. When we track the cosmos, we are tracking our own inner cosmic nature. Thus, Jyotish can tell us a lot about our own dance with polarities. Even the lunar nodes, or shadow points, in your chart are polar opposites of each other, and always look directly at each other seven houses away. Not surprisingly they can tell you a lot about your inner dance with polarities and what inner conflicts you are here to harmonize and integrate in this life time. I'm convinced that this is in fact the secret to inner peace, unity, enlightenment. The non-dual, the non conflict within. What is yoga? Union! How is this achieved? Through harmonizing polarities within the body- the masculine and feminine energies, essentially. When we boil polarities down to their essence, it will always connect you back to the masculine and feminine. This is the most vital ingredient for your inner harmony. But how do you integrate these extremes? There are many methods for uniting the polarities within and the Vedic tradition is arguably the most ancient resource for this process. As with all branches of the Ved, they support the process of union, or enlightenment. My favorite resource is Vedic Astrology because it is truly a road map for one's life quest- inner and outer. Jyotish is a light source for identifying the blockages within you- Physically, Mentally, Emotionally and Spiritually. These blockages are keeping you from fully integrating your polarities. The wisdom of jyotish is an immense and powerful resource for healing and transformation. Here's what to look for in your jyotish chart: For starters, identify your rising sign, Sun and Moon signs. Notice their symbol. What does their symbol say about who you are and what you need in this life? Your rising sign will tell you how you see the world. It is the main influence of your chart because it organizes all other factors. For example, a polarity can exist if you have a water sign with your Sun sitting in it. This would be a very exact conflict between masculine and feminine energies. Individual planets may express themselves through conflict as well. Let's say your natal Moon is in a nakshatra ruled by the Sun. Or if the soft, gentle and friendly Moon is in a harsh or fierce nakshatra, this will naturally stir conflict within- especially within the emotional body. Any planet in opposition with another planet will also cause a "war" or constant battle within. Mars and Saturn for example, if conjunct, will battle over action and non action. The jyotish chart can show you quite directly where the polarities are within you. More importantly, where the conflicts are. These conflicts within are occurring on different levels of your being- Physically, Mentally, Emotionally or Spiritually. Think about when you are in an argument with someone. What happens to you- on the four levels of your being? You may feel tense, contracted, heated, stressed or all of the above. Think about your mental body being in this state constantly on some inner level of your being? Your emotional body? Physical or Spiritual bodies? Your jyotish chart can tell you where these conflicts are rooted in your being. This identification can be used as a resource to unravel the inner conflict, to harmonize or integrate the extremes within you. When any part of your body is in conflict with another part, there will be a an inability to be fully nourished, or unified. I encourage and advocate a well rounded healing process so that there is full support and awakening for the entire being- not just one part of it. I've written extensively recently about the signs of inner conflict. In fact, challenges and obstacles in life are nothing more than mirrors being held up to show you where you are not fully harmonized or integrated. Other signs are self sabotage, chaos, stress, overwhelm, etc. Challenges don't just happen! These are parts of your being asking for your attention. When the challenge manifests on the conscious or visible level, you know this is an inner conflict asking for your attention. Read my article and use my Tapping Meditation Podcast to identify inner challenges. Since the ultimate polarity always comes back to masculine and feminine, I think it's important to understand this dynamic very intimately. Working with these Laws of Nature are vital for working with these parts of yourself and others, so that you are not always pushing against the natural tendencies they offer. First, it must be noted that both masculine and feminine have their own polarities as well. There are shadow sides to both the masculine and feminine, which can often misconstrue the way we see them. In the podcast below, I share a tapping (EFT) sequence with you that will guide you through transforming and releasing the old stories and invite in more receptivity. Remember, we start with identifying the challenges, then moving into possibility and desires in order to transform our shadow into light. Use this podcast as you tap through these points: Karate chop point (side of the hand). Crown of the head. Eyebrow point (above the eye). Side of the eye. Under the eye. Under the nose. Chin point (crease of the chin). Throat point (collar bone/throat chakra). Heart point (center of chest). Stomach point (above the navel). Side body (nipple line at side of chest). Tap six to ten times on each point and just keep cycling through the points. Repeat the phrases I use aloud. Notice any thoughts, stories, memories or emotions that emerge as you tap. These are important pieces to return to, do more tapping on, as a way to clear blockages. As always, if the words I use don't work for you, change them to support your process more fully. The waxing Moon transits Mrigashirsha nakshatra, Soma's domain. Nourishment is here, it's flowing, it's abundant, are you feeling Her? Receiving Her? Soma is another name for the Moon (Chandra). Drink Her nectar by honoring Her divine feminine wisdom. Are you moving with Her, or against Her? Align with Her receptivity and be nourished by knowing. Your inner knowing is Her gift. Surrender to this flow. Lean in, listen, pause, wait. Late afternoon Moon shifts to Gemini. Ketu and Mars now give their drishti (gaze) to the emotional body. Early morning, Moon moves to the sharp and often dreadful constellation, Ardra, ruled by the powerful storm god Rudra. Known for his immense strength (especially emotional power), Rudra can bring sudden changes with potent outcomes. Classes begin April 2016. Doors Close This Week! Get the Details Wednesday, April 13th Moon in 7th tithi Saptami Today, is the seventh day of Navaratri, and the first of three days dedicated to Maha Saraswati. Her wisdom, creative power and nourishment through spiritual resources, can be a powerful guide right now. Use Saraswati mantras to connect with her gifts as well as Chandi Path recitations for support with transformation. Saraswati gives us knowledge, understanding, wisdom, creativity and artistry. She is the rasayana (or healing balm) if you will, that closes out this sacred nine day celebration. For the final days of Navaratri, dedicated to Saraswati, music, art and poetry can be a good way to focus your energy, efforts and intentions. Use creativity, artistry and embodiment resources for grounding and landing in your intentions. Use my Creative Rituals and Tapping Meditation Podcasts for support with this process. Just as Wednesday begins, Moon moves to Aditi's star, Punarvasu. This is a changeable, moveable, constellation. Results of the day may shift as a result. Aditi brings resources, support and wisdom. Allow resources to flow towards you today. Where are you saying no to support, harmony and balance? How can you move into more receiving? Duality is keeping you in the dark. Aditi (non difference) brings the light, whereas her sister, Diti (difference) brings a lack of integration and harmony within. Strengthen your receptivity today. Harmonize polarities, find balance, align with your inner truth. Late evening, Moon shifts to its most harmonious sign, Cancer. Moon moves out of the gaze of the other planets, while it transits its own sign. Emotional body harmony is possible. Attend to your inner waters with sacred intention in the coming days. Harvest the wisdom. A new solar cycle begins on April 13th at 07:54 Mountain Daylight Time. Our light source, the Sun, is of utmost importance for inner and outer growth. While the Moon brings the necessary nourishment that can support the growth process. When the Moon is illuminated at night, the light of the Sun can be more easily absorbed, becoming Soma, or divine nectar within. Both planets are resources for life force energy. Balance between both are essential for receiving the gifts, resources and support abundant in life and Nature. Jupiter and Rahu give their gaze to the Sun in Aries, intensifying the transit through immense expansion. Are you resisting this growth? In the cycle to come, working diligently with the masculine energy of structure will be vital. The masculine parts of yourself will be asked to be suppressed, negated, reconstructed, deconstructed and re-created. A liberation process is afoot. In this overtly masculine-centric society, all genders have tendencies towards excess masculine energy. This promotes excess structure, the need for outcome, lack of surrender, fear of the unknown and misalignment with force and power. Being in right-relationship with these parts of your being are essential for inner balance and harmony to occur. Where is the mind following your overly masculine-centric paradigms? How does the mind play out the patterns and behaviors of your inner Sun? Polarities continue to be a potent resource for growth and healing in the coming cycle. Can you identify the parts of you that are in conflict with each other? The parts of you that say yes, while the other half of you say no? These inner wars will induce fear, chaos, stress, overwhelm and feelings of mal-nourishment in life. Unless these polarities can come into right relationship with each other, inner and outer balance can not be achieved. Notice how your relationships are in fact a mirror for these inner battles within you. What parts of yourself are asking you to take a closer look? Look in the many mirrors presenting themselves to you and do the necessary inner work to clear the challenges so you can receive the nourishment on the other side. There is nourishment to be had in the cycle ahead, and plenty of it. The only question is- are you able to receive it? What blockages are keeping you from fully receiving the divine abundance circling around you and through you? What parts of you say yes, while others say no- on the Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual body levels? Where are there obstructions, clogging or misalignment? The solar cycle ahead will be an invitation for more transformation, deeper healing, alignment with your inner fire, the agni of life. Feed your flame with diligence and consciousness. Take the necessary steps for a balanced and harmonious outcome. As you continue to track your inner process and development, notice the global stage. The conflicts within masculine (containment) and feminine (expansion) dynamics are ripe and intensifying. The battles are raging on, yet the imbalances increase simultaneously. The global mirror is also a powerful place to look at for our own self growth. I believe firmly that change begins within, that personal development- that is whole, integrated and balanced- is as necessary for the individual as it is for our world family. Use the coming month of Sun exalted in Aries to commit to awakening, inner power, overcoming blockages that keep you from your immense value and potential. Let this intention carry you through the coming year as the new solar cycle unfolds. Thursday, April 14th Moon in 8th tithi Ashtami Today, is the eight day of Navaratri, and the second day of three dedicated to Maha Saraswati. Her wisdom, creative power, and nourishment through spiritual resources, can be a powerful guide right now. Enliven your creativity by removing mental and emotional body blockages keeping you from receiving Her divine wisdom! Early morning, Moon shifts to the nourishing star, Pushya, symbolized by the udder of a cow. This nakshatra exemplifies the life giving nourishment that surrounds- circulating in and around you. The Divine Mothers insure that you are well taken care of, able to receive all Her goodness and bounty. Can you feel Her support? What parts of your life are you not able to receive Her gifts? These are channels that are clogged and need increased nourishment. Opening and removing blockages will help your receptivity and your ability to feel the abundance that is already here. Pushya nakshatra exemplifies the open/close dynamic of the breath, chest and lungs. As Moon moves through the Fourth House, the seat of emotions, heart, mother and earth/land, the emotional body is supporting your opening and closing process. Let the breath be a resource for the integration of these polarities. What are you opening to? What are you closing to? Ready to take your inner growth to the next level and deepen your relationship with your inner feminine wisdom? Integrate polarities, strengthen Creative Intelligence, clarify your strength and purpose! Join me for my Jyotish Astrology Coaching + Classes for Transformation and Healing. Classes begin April 2016. Doors Close This Week! Get the Details Friday, April 15th Moon in 9th to 10th tithi Navami, Dashami Today, is the ninth day of Navaratri, and the final day of three dedicated to Maha Saraswati. It is also Raam Navami, the birth of Lord Raam. The ninth Moon phase (tithi) is called Navami in Sanskrit. This Moon phase is ruled by the Sun and the deity Naga. The Naga's are helpful serpents who support growth and wisdom through deep, inner work. They bring resources and help you overcome obstacles. Raam Navami is considered an auspicious day to start new endeavors, to make intentions known. Take an action step today towards a powerful desire, towards dharma. Use today to awaken your inner yes! During this final day of the sacred nine day celebration of Navaratri, allow the previous days to digest and integrate. Seek closure through ritual. Let Saraswati's wisdom, creative power, and nourishment through spiritual resources, guide you. Use creativity, artistry and embodiment resources for grounding and landing in your intentions. Use my Creative Rituals and Tapping Meditation Podcasts for support with this process. Moon moves through Ashlesha nakshatra today, starting mid morning. This is a Mercury ruled constellation, inviting the Mental Body to intensify today. Sarpa rules this deity, inviting in wisdom and growth through mystical knowledge. Interestingly, Sarpa is the opposite of Naga. Both are serpents, yet they offer their support in very different ways. Nagas support the light, whereas Sarpa's support the darkness. Neither is all good, nor all bad, but they offer their resources in very different ways. Both support transformation and healing through serpent energy and kundalini. What is kundalini but the unification of opposites! Unite, unify and strengthen through harmony and balance! Let this intention serve you in the coming days, weeks and months as the portal of Navaratri ushers in a bountiful season ahead! Saturday, April 16th Moon in 10th to 11th tithi Dashami to Ekadashi Midmorning, Moon leaps to the powerful sign of Leo and into Magha nakshatra, the "magnificent star". The ancestors support this nakshatra and provide power and strength for those that align with them. Lineage matters for all levels of life. Honor your roots today with gratitude and ritual. Ketu and retrograde Saturn give their gaze to the Moon, providing awakenings and sudden changes, yet the need for structure and stability. Spiritual insights may come through the Physical body today. As Moon transits Leo over the next few days, She conjuncts retrograde Jupiter and Rahu, both in Purvaphalguni nakshatra currently. This is a fertile and sensual constellation that brings increased Shakti, life force with it. As the Moon illuminates this constellation, allow the Creative Intelligence of the Divine Feminine to move through you. She has been awakened through the Navaratri celebration! She is awakening you! Let Her wisdom move through you and move you. Say yes to life! What stirs your heart and makes you come alive? Do this! Dashami, or the 10th tithi, is often considered "victory day" in the Navaratri celebration. This is the day when Durga's defeat over the demon Mahishasura is honored. Let your light overtake your darkness. Mars prepares to retrograde Sunday morning. You may notice your action steps are stalled, slowed or challenged. This is a reminder to go slow, take sacred pause and move into the receptive. Sunday, April 17th Moon in 11th and 12th tithi Ekadashi to Dvadashi Day of Sun, amplifies the effects of exalted Sun, currently in Aries, conjunct Mercury. Moon transits Purvaphalguni nakshatra, which invites in the sense of spring and vitality. The Phalguni constellations exemplify the "bees to honey" experience. It is a potent and attractive star, inviting in feminine wisdom and abundance. Venus is the ruling planet, whereas Bhaga is the deity component of this nakshatra. Both provide resources and abundance, when the channels are open to receive the nourishment. With Venus exalted in Pisces right now (and Sun exalted as well), free from conjunctions or gaze of the other planets, Her divine support can flow more fully. She can give money, love, joy, abundance, harmony, health and vitality, all resources that bring life. Are you able to receive the abundance of this day? Mars retrogrades at 06:16 am MDT, inviting in different action steps in the coming months. Mars has been transiting Scorpio with Saturn- who is also retrograde right now. Normally, Mars would be excited to transit his own, familiar territory, however, an intruder also occupies his home. Right now this enemy (Saturn) is in his enemy’s sign and uncomfortable digging up the depths and subconscious territory of Scorpio. Add a fiery warrior to the mix and it could make for an uncomfortable few months ahead. The opposing energies of Mars and Saturn don’t bode well for smooth sailing. Saturn is a slow, methodical, hard working old man that is set in his ways. Mars is a young “whipper snapper” that acts more than he thinks, causing mischief and havoc in his path as a result. Can your old and young energies align, integrate and find a new sense of harmony? What can your old self teach your younger self and vice versa? Seek alignment as they both need each other on some fundamental level. Can you find that need and help them find peace within you? This transit is taking unusually long due to Mars retrograding back through Scorpio now. This will spark an interesting capacity for depth and dharma. Saturn retrogrades on March 25th, strengthening his challenges and gifts. (Retrograde planets act like the nodes Rahu and Ketu who are notorious for intensification). Mars retrogrades on April 15th for 2.5 months, provoking a powerful cycle of returns. During this transit Mercury will also be retrograde for several weeks and Jupiter will still be in retrograde motion as well. From April 28th to May 9th there will be four planets in retrograde motion, six- counting the always retrograde karmic planets, Rahu and Ketu. Many returns will take place simultaneously- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I’ll be sharing more details about the back to back retrograde planets as we approach this cycle. As Mars retrogrades back through Scorpio, he ends up returning to Libra on June 17th. Once he goes direct on June 30th, he must travel back through Libra once again, which will take him until July 12th when he re-enters Scorpio. As Mars moves back to Scorpio, he rejoins Saturn here, this time until September 18th. In total, Mars will march through his own sign the majority of the year. Because he must contend with Saturn as well, there is ample opportunity in the coming months to truly integrate polarities that are causing you disconnections and disassociation. The misalignment may activate in charged, passionate and contentious ways, however, the healing that can take place within Scorpio’s territory is like no other. The nature of this sign is depth and transformation. If you are willing to lean into the hidden parts of your being and diligently dive into your subconscious and unconscious territory, you will harvest pearls undoubtedly. However, those who resist, avoid and continue to suppress their emotional body messages, will find their discomfort and challenges amplified. The soreness and pain is nothing more than a request to lean in closer, look, notice and allow the shadow to emerge. As your dark matter rises, it can find its natural way of release. Movement is the medicine. Remember that the majority of this Mars and Saturn conjunction in Scorpio, the conjunction of Jupiter and Rahu will be active as well. Your darkness is requesting more wisdom on multiple levels as a result. Themes for this coming Mars transit strongly include unifying polarities and extremes within your being. This may be through masculine and feminine forces, authority and subordinates, shadow and light. You may identify that your force versus surrender needs more integration. Strong themes of opening and closing will emerge in forceful and dramatic ways. Be prepared to let go. Clinging will only intensify the pain. Trust this process of release as it is moving you closer to your inner truth, the purpose of your life and path. Dharmic awakening is possible as old doors will close swiftly. Are you willing to open new doors? Reach for the knob even if you’re in the dark. Work with your power authentically and consciously. Be true to your needs and move towards your strength, but notice when you are misaligned with your empowerment. True power is the harmony of masculine and feminine forces. Can you feel this within your body? Let the spine be an integration point and notice the sensations that strengthen and support this understanding. Expand what you think is possible for yourself. What are you willing to risk, to let go of, in order to receive more nourishment, truth and power? Move towards the nourishment of balance. Can you find the simplicity in the complexity? Ready to take your inner growth to the next level and deepen your relationship with your inner feminine wisdom? Integrate polarities, strengthen Creative Intelligence, clarify your strength and purpose! Join me for my Jyotish Astrology Coaching + Classes for Transformation and Healing. Classes begin April 2016. Doors Close Sunday, April 12th! Get the Details Monday, April 18th Moon in 13th tithi Moon continues through Leo, but enters Uttaraphalguni around 11 am MDT. Awaken Your True Self I've shared over the past few weeks, the many challenges of the Eclipse Portal. How it intensified challenges and obstacles, the shadow, in order for deeper healing to take place within. Though the Eclipse Portal has closed, working with the shadow continues. I, like many, used the eclipse portal to meet my challenges head on. Deep, oozy grief emerged within me. Rather than pushing it away and forcing myself to "keep it together", I allowed myself to get messy. If my grief has taught me anything, it's that I need to allow the mess within me to have a voice, to speak. Through daily tapping, creative rituals, movement, rest, staying in my pajamas and laying in bed for days on end, I eventually emerged on the other side of this mess, with a new understanding of my shadow, and a deep, powerful release as well. Attending to my shadow very consciously, allowed me to clear, move and release my shadow. I was able to transform it and in the process, create space for something more powerful to flow through me- my creativity! As I let go of the layers of suppressed anger and sadness, I began to grieve a very old part of myself. Much to my surprise, this was my inner teenager! Her wild ways and strong ferocity had not been honored in many years. In fact, I had to dismiss her, negate her wisdom and intelligence for survival many years ago. I took vows to keep her locked away and hidden. Suppressing her wild, creative wisdom has cost me dearly. Her Durga-like energy is in fact my True Self, so not being fully aligned with her is a loss I can't afford. As I used my resources to transform the anger and sadness, suddenly more space was created within me. Space that allowed my creative energy to flow more dynamically. This space was created by integrating inner conflict, finding harmony between my polarities and honoring the wisdom of my wild feminine wisdom. With my inner Durga awakening, her untamed wisdom no longer in my shadow, a new burst of energy has emerged in me. One that has allowed me to align with my dharmic work more fully, more authentically. In fact, the clarity that emerged from this process, has allowed me to create an even more powerful course to support your healing and transformation process. Deepen and awaken your inner feminine wisdom with jyotish, embodiment and creativity! I'm so ecstatic to share this offering with you! Get the Details Here. I'll be sharing more resources in the coming days- during the nine day Vedic Celebration of Navaratri- to support your own transformational process and help you align with your feminine wisdom. I've also posted a new tapping meditation podcast below to support you with leaning into your feminine wisdom. As you deepen your relationship with your wild, feminine wisdom, trust your steps. The journey is not necessarily easy, or comfortable, but the results are well worth navigating the rocky terrain of your inner landscape. Pulling up old roots, in order to plant new seeds, will provide you with a rich and potent harvest. Five steps to remember as you deepen your relationship with Her: - Any obstacle or blockage can be overcome by increasing your creative intelligence. Where is your resistance to this life force energy? To the nourishment? - Aligning authentically with your True Self requires the removal of any vows you have taken (consciously or unconsciously). These vows block your creative life force energy and keep you resistant to change. Many are tribal, familial, cultural or ancestral. - Your emotions and your emotional body wisdom will show you the way. Emotional body literacy helps you identify needs and will help you find new resources for your growth. Your feelings will tell you everything! - Receptivity, being able to receive fully, is vital for increased creative flow and nourishment. Where are you resisting the flow? - Self care practices increase your receptivity, the ability to receive nourishment. Make sure you're attending to self care on all four levels of your being- Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual. Notice where there are holes in your Self Care practices. Increasing Your Receptivity Your Creative Intelligence is your wild feminine wisdom. Increase your ability to receive Shakti, life force energy, and you will increase your Creativity Intelligence naturally. What's keeping you from fully embracing all the nourishment that surrounds you? What is keeping you from receiving the abundance of Nature and Her gifts? What type of relationship do you have with your Divine Feminine wisdom? Simply put, you have blockages in the way, keeping certain channels clogged, restricted, overburdened with toxins. When your channels of receiving are restricted, the flow can't move through you fully. These blockages may be on the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual body levels- or all four pathways. Removing the blockages from all four levels of your being, is essential for maximum life force energy to be received. Navigating your inner terrain very consciously is essential for identifying these obstacles and blockages. As you identify these blockages, you can then strategically use this information to make deep, inner change. Removing blockages that hinder your life force energy is essential for more life force energy and more flow. Increased creative flow, more life force energy, will increase your ability to receive money, health, vitality, love, relationships, comforts, ideas, artistry and inner harmony. Both Moon and Venus symbolize these factors in your jyotish chart. Their placements in your natal chart will show you where there is restriction. The effects the other planets have on your Venus and Moon will either support or hinder this flow. The other planets in your chart will also show you what channels are open and which ones are blocked. This is why jyotish is such a powerful resource for healing and transformation. The trick to changing and transforming the blockages is working with your full range of being, your entire inner landscape- not just the parts that you like, or feel good. Leaning into what is not working, the obstacles and challenges, can be the most effective way to clear your pathways for increased flow. Challenges and blockages are the mirror you need to identify what needs to change. Integration is Essential for More Flow This divine Shakti flow is essential in order to deepen your relationship with creativity. Creativity brings more ideas, more imagination, more money, more health and vitality, more passion, more pleasure. More of the good stuff! If you want more of the good stuff, you have to clear the blockages keeping you from receiving more. It may seem obvious, but if you can't receive this creative nourishment, you won't be able to increase this in your life. The Divine Feminine wisdom within is your receptive energy. She is your ability to be in receiving and feel the juicy, goodness of your life. This requires that you are in harmony with your feminine energy (expansion, opening, fluidity) and your masculine energy (containment, restriction, the known). Most people (men and women) have never learned how to use masculine and feminine energy in a way that promotes balance, inner harmony and vitality- rather than depletion and chaos. When the masculine and feminine polarities are at odds with each other, this conflict will increase fear, resistance, deep inner challenge, turmoil, overwhelm, self-sabotage behaviors and intensified shadow to emerge. This inner conflict is at the root of all major dis-ease. These inner conflicts will often manifest externally as a way to help you identify the imbalances. What relationships are you in conflict with? So many of these imbalances within the masculine and feminine energies are expressed by the conflicts in the world. How do you know if your masculine and feminine energies are in conflict? Notice the parts of your self that are saying yes, when the rest of you is saying no. Some parts may be saying no, while other parts are saying yes. Remember that outer conflicts are just bright, flashing mirrors that are being held up for you to look more closely so you can identify your own inner conflicts. Who and what are you in conflict with? This battle is at play within you as well. Can you tell? Integrating polarities, healing the conflicts and finding harmony between your opposing forces is the fast track to deeper receptivity and receiving more nourishment in life. When inner polarities align, all the energy that was being used to stay in battle, is suddenly freed up. This energy can then be used in life supporting ways. Your energy will naturally start moving in a direction that supports greater nourishment and harmony. Learning how to integrate polarities and deepen your receptivity is a powerful resource for awakening your full potential. Your feminine wisdom is vital for increasing more nourishment in your life. She will show you the way and help you navigate the uncharted territory of your inner terrain. I'm so passionate about supporting women in this process of inner integration! So many women are not using their divine inner wisdom in the most potent and powerful ways. They stay in lack, without stepping into their brilliance fully. What a shame when you've come all this way, arrived in a female human body, in order to learn how to be more receptive! My work is here to support your growth and inner wisdom. Remember that we always start with "truth tapping" by expressing feelings and experiences that feel challenging. This is a vital part of the process and paves the way for transformation and healing. Share your experiences below! What emerged for you in this process? Excited to hear from you! Align With Durga and Her Powerful Energy of Change and Transformation During Navaratri. Navaratri is a poignant time in the Vedic Calendar. This ancient calendar is one that is dedicated to Nature and her cycles and rhythms, the planets, and most importantly the Moon. In the Vedic Calendar, time is connected to what Nature and the cosmos are doing, and these elements are intimately related. The main Navaratri celebrations occur twice a year- in the "gap" seasons of spring and fall. These times are considered sandhi times; delicate times that feel like you are neither here, nor there. We might call it the netherworld. This time, though delicate, is considered sacred. In the spring, Navaratri marks the "waking up" of the devis or the goddesses, of Shakti; the aspects of Natural Law that enliven growth, abundance, prosperity, learning, well being, change and transformation. In the fall, Navaratri invites in destruction, removal, change, transformation and healing. The goddesses Durga, Saraswati and Lakshmi symbolize these parts of life and Nature, while also being parts of our own innate being. The three of them together represent our wholeness, the trinity of life, alive in and around us. These three goddesses also connect to Shakti, the goddess who gives the spark of life to every being, to Nature, and to existence. Fall Navaratri, or Maha Navaratri, is by far the most potent as it brings deep transformation and the ability to remove, destroy, release and transform, our darkness into light. The holy trinity of goddesses supports this process and allows us to let go of what needs to be released in order for greater nourishment. As we let go of our darkness, an increase of light and wisdom can take its place. This process is marked by Durga's powerful battle against the demon Mahishasura. On the 10th day, she destroyed him and was victorious. This day is called Vijaya Dashami (Dashami is the 10th lunar day of the Moon cycle, connected to dharma). Vasant Navaratri, or spring Navaratri, begins with the new Moon this year, on Thursday April 7th at 04:24 am PDT. Sun and Moon are in Revati nakshatra, the final star of the zodiac, signifying endings and beginnings. This is the mark of the Vedic Lunar New Year and the beginning of the sacred nine day celebration of Navaratri as well. Durga is enlivened at this time! The battle between good over evil intensifies in the coming days as Durga battles the demon Mahishasura. This battle takes place within every human being. The conflict between light and dark forces, polarities, is expressed through this sacred and timeless battle. It also mirrors the conflicts stirred between the masculine and feminine energies within. This battle is a wake up call, a clearing of old, stagnant beliefs, patterns and behaviors. Pay close attention during this sacred nine day celebration as inner and outer conflicts intensify. What does this conflict share with you about your polarities? What mirrors are being held up in order for you to make lasting change and transformation? Nava means nine in Sanskrit while Ratri means nights. This is a nine day celebration that is divided into three parts. The first three days are dedicated to the goddess Durga. Her warrior spirit cleanses, shifts, uproots, changes and transforms. Think of her as tilling the soil, prior to planting seeds. The next three days of celebration are dedicated to Lakshmi. Her abundance, nurturing, and wealth offer nourishment and support to us on all levels of life. Health is the ultimate wealth and Lakshmi brings this support as well. Finally, we have three days dedicated to goddess Saraswati. She gives us knowledge, understanding, wisdom, creativity and artistry. She is the rasayana (or healing balm) if you will to close this sacred nine day celebration. Together, these three goddesses bring wholeness, renewal, and the life giving offerings of Shakti. This creative life-force energy is truly what inspires life, living and abundance. She is your Creative Intelligence. It is at this time that we can connect to these three goddesses most easily- inside of us, and around us. Because of this, Navaratri is considered a very sacred and powerful time of year- one that influences our inner and outer experience of life for months to come. To connect with the goddesses more closely, make special offerings on your altar to them during the nine days. You can also dedicate your actions and intentions to them for greater communication. Use this time for self development practices and sacred pause. Slow down and notice what is stirring within you and around you. Connecting to fire and stoking the internal flame (or agni) can be valuable for the first three days of Durga. You may wish to write intentions that focus on empowerment and action steps for the coming months as well. Using self development tools to transform negative thoughts and mental body stories, will be well supported at this time. During the three days of Lakshmi, bring sweets and flowers to your altar, cook nourishing foods for your Self, decorate and adorn your Self. This is a time to focus on self care diligently. For the final portion of Navaratri, dedicated to Saraswati, music, art and poetry can be a good way to focus your energy, efforts and intentions. Use creativity, artistry and embodiment resources for grounding and landing in your intentions. Use my Creative Rituals for support with this process. During this sacred and potent time, treat your Self like the goddess that you are and share your abundance with others. May we each remember our abundant true nature, our immense creative life giving energy and the power of the Divine Feminine for healing and transformation! Read more about Navaratri from Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra, renowned Shaka Vansya Ayurvedic Doctor. This Week's Intention: Endings are increasing, creating space for new, more sacred openings. Lean into the resistance of this release process. What conflicts within are keeping you from moving forward more powerfully? How can you seek more integration and harmony with these polarities? The week begins with a waning Moon moving through Aquarius. The inner light is dimming within, which makes it easier to turn inward and drop into your subtle awareness. The sacred Vedic celebration of Navaratri begins this week with the new Moon, as does the Vedic lunar new year. In many ways, this week begins a powerful emergence of growth through the divine wisdom of Shakti and her life force energy. Ride the currents and notice where you are resisting the abundant flow.
Use the coming days during this sacred portal of Navaratri (April 7th to 15th) to clarify your dharmic intentions. Who and what are you aligning with for greater power, support and nourishment? Cultivate presence with what is working and consciously attend to challenges and obstacles as these are resources in disguise. Ask for support and more connection. Your consistent, methodical action steps will take you far. Monday, April 4th Moon in 12th tithi Just as Monday begins, Moon arrives in Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna's domain. He guards Natural Law and maintains order by witnessing all imbalances. He punishes those not aligned with Nature's wisdom, but can provide great healing in the process. Maintaining health by attending to cycles, rhythms and Nature's wisdom, are essential under Satabisha. Where are you aligned with the rhythms of Nature? Where are you misaligned? Today, make necessary adjustments in order to maximize your health, strength and vitality. Challenges are reminders that changes need to be made on some level. Late evening, Moon shifts to Purvabhadra nakshatra and Ajaikapada encourages balancing opposites, extremes and challenges. Where are you feeling conflicted? Find your integration point. Tuesday, April 5th Moon in 13th to 14th tithi Moon continues through Ajaikapada's constellation today. Purvabhadrapada supports balance of extremes, of polarities, of opposition. Where are you in conflict? What parts of you are saying yes? What parts of you are saying no? As Moon conjuncts Ketu exactly today, it's time to awaken, open and surrender. Cut, clear and release the shadows that keep you in conflict, in chaos and confusion. Get focused and strategic and take important action steps to support this clarity. The Adityas (the gods that support resources) are here to support you in this clarity. Once you align with your inner knowing, nothing can stop your flow, your receptivity. Late afternoon, Moon moves to Pisces, joining exalted Venus and Sun here. Late evening Moon moves to the latter half of the Bhadra constellation, Uttarabhadra. Dive deep within and harvest your inner riches. Look at the nourishment within you and honor these places of comfort and support. Find the challenging places and allow the flow of your divine wisdom to coax it into release and surrender. The light is soft right now as we approach the new Moon. Use this sacred time to center, harmonize and restore inner balance. Wednesday, April 6th Moon in 14th tithi Moon moves through Uttarabhadrapada, conjunct exalted Venus and Sun. The new Moon is arriving and with it the emotional body is tender, vulnerable and soft. This porousness is helpful for release and deep surrender. Allow the nourishment to enter and notice where you need more. Ahirbudhnya rules this nakshatra and supports deep inner wisdom to be cultivated. For those that choose to dive deeply within their unconscious and subconscious territory, he will support your change and transformation journey. As you dig up your depths, it naturally rises to the surface, where the light of the soul can reach it. Find these places within. Dig into your darkness and let your inner light illuminate the pearls you find. As evening arrives, Moon shifts to the final nakshatra of the zodiac, marking release, endings and letting go. Revati insures safe and fruitful journey's. What closure do you need for a sense of completion? Thursday, April 7th Moon in 15th and 1st tithi Amavasya to Pratipad New Moon is Thursday April 7th at 04:24 am PDT. Sun and Moon are in Revati nakshatra, the final star of the zodiac, signifying endings and beginnings. This is the mark of the Vedic Lunar New Year and the beginning of the sacred nine day celebration of Navaratri. Durga is enlivened! The battle between good over evil intensifies in the coming days as the divine battle between Durga and the demon Mahishasura takes place. This battle occurs within every human being. The conflict between light and dark forces, polarities, is expressed through this sacred and timeless battle. It also mirrors the conflicts stirred between the masculine and feminine energies within. New Moon in Revati shares the support of Pushan with those who accept and receive his soft and gentle guidance. Pushan translates as "the nourisher" and through his resources, will help you flourish, prosper and grow. He requests gentle, subtle and thoughtful steps and honors inner sensitivity. As both Sun and Moon transit Revati, a sense of endings- for both masculine and feminine energy- is stirred. The soli/lunar energies within are seeking closure and completion. As doors close, trust the opening of new doors to follow. What are you saying yes to? What are you saying no to? Be conscious of your actions and choices. These karmas determine the fruits you will receive in the new cycle. If you've been following along with me in the past days and weeks, I've been sharing resources to support the alignment and integration of inner polarities. Through deepening the wisdom of the Divine Feminine, you can heal and transform the inner battles between opposing energies and find more harmony within. Use my tapping meditation for deepening your relationship with the Divine Feminine. In the afternoon, Moon shifts to Ashwini nakshatra and into Aries, marking a new cycle for the Moon. A new Lunar year has begun! Ashwini brings strength through rejuvenation, healing and creativity. Use self care to hit your reset button and mark this fresh start. Navaratri begins at sunset! On this first day and night of Navaratri, notice what's arriving. I have noticed that the first three days of Navaratri initiate the changes and transformations we are working with in this release cycle. Often we must confront challenges and obstacles as a result. More nourishment and support is coming, but we can't receive it without this important step. What is arriving? What parts of your personal mythology are showing up as a mirror for you? Let Durga's fierce warrior energy initiate and provoke awareness. Emotionally, you may feel anger, pain, frustration or sadness emerge in the coming days. Physically you may need more rest or silence. Mentally you may need more inward reflection as well as time for meditation. Spiritually, you may need time with nature and to attend to rituals that help you land in deeper presence. Understand that this is a part of the change and transformation process. Where can you land into deeper presence with your needs? As you deepen your intention for this Navaratri celebration, find meaningful rituals for yourself that bring you closer to spirit. Listening to Durga mantras right now is excellent for inviting in her presence. Traditionally, listening to Chandi Path recitations is also encouraged. Friday, April 8th Moon in 2nd tithi Dvitiya Moon moves from the first tithi (Pratipad) to the 2nd tithi (Dvititya) marking the second day of Navaratri. It is the second day dedicated to Ma Durga. Connecting to fire and stoking the internal flame (or agni) can be valuable for the first three days of Durga. You may wish to write intentions that focus on empowerment and action steps for the coming months as well. Using self development tools to transform negative thoughts and mental body stories, will be well supported at this time. Recite Durga mantras and listen to Chandi Path recitations for extra support. This is my favorite resource for recitations. As noon arrives, Moon shifts from the rejuvenating nakshatra, Ashwini, to the fierce and powerful star, Bharani. Symbolized by the yoni, this constellation exemplifies the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength. Yama is the ruling deity of this star and his restraint can bring clarity and focus. It is a severe energy which can be used for killing and slaughtering. Be brutal in your release today. Get clear about what is serving you and what is not. Be willing to surrender to the death process required when letting go. Confront, shift, change. Just like a warrior.
