“Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others.”

— Pema Chödron

The last new Moon of the year occurs while Moon is debilitated in Scorpio and Jyestha nakshatra with a Solar Eclipse. On December 14th at 09:17 am MT, five planets are transiting Scorpio, including the Moon. Venus, Sun, Mercury, Ketu and Moon navigate the sign of shadow and death at this time. This new Moon is ripe with solace and transformational depth. The northern hemisphere is in the shadowy darkness right now, moving towards the darkest day of the year on the 21st. Be mindful that this new Moon could bring the emptiness and death of winter to the surface.

Jyestha is the king of the devas, or sattvic god qualities within you. His weapon is a thunderbolt and he rules over all weather that involves water and rain. Essentially, Indra is prana, life force energy. To control your prana, is to control your life. This also supports sensory control and becoming your own master of body, emotions, and mind. Indra can give you the power to control your body, your life, your life force. He wants you to have control over your self and your life and he can go about that in harsh ways.

Indra and this portion of the sky supports thorough investigation through knowledge and wisdom. He does things fully and with passion. There is no half way with him. Dive in completely or don’t bother at all. He does everything with devotion and selfless service. Offer your efforts to the highest good, to dharma.

Is your path serving you? Are you fulfilled? What needs to change, shift, transform in order for you to feel the nourishment? Where are you skimming the surface when you should be exploring the depths? Are you being excessive, rather than precise? What steps can you take towards mastery and authenticity?

This new Moon brings the close of an intense two week eclipse portal. Solar eclipses tend to intensify our relationship with power, the masculine, authorities, and purpose. Confront undigested emotions, fear, resistance and inner conflict directly. Likely your personal mythology will be intensifying at this time so you can clean up any shadows that are keeping you in the dark. Pay attention to what is emerging from your depths.

This solar eclipse closes a two week cycle of intense shadow work. Eclipses intensify everything and tend to make mountains out of mole hills- so we can see what we have been avoiding or negating within the unconscious realms. Stay positive and look for solutions rather than focusing on the darkness, but do not bypass the necessary inner work that you are being asked to show up for right now. This is a powerful time to address inner shadows head on and release inner blockages that you've been overlooking.

Your willingness to honor your big emotions will support their release. Stay present and willing to be with your challenging parts. There is something trying to push through and come to the surface. Are you listening? What needs to change? Your emotional body waves are asking for more nourishment. Be willing to support the release so that you have space for more of what you truly want and need.

This eclipse portal closes with a total solar eclipse on December 14th. The solar eclipse begins at 06:33 am MT and ends at 11:53 am MT, with the maximum eclipse occurring at 09:13 am MT

A reminder that this closes a two week cycle that has not been good for starting new projects, new endeavors, or relationships. Emotions tend to intensify during eclipses and shadows are much stronger. You may have been less clear and focused the past few weeks. Let the shadows clear over the coming days before making big decisions. Challenges often intensify so we can see them more clearly and make the necessary changes that will support new growth. This can be a time of immense inner transformation if used properly.

Although this eclipse is not visible from the Northern Hemisphere, from a Vedic perspective, it is not advised to be outside during an eclipse- or to look directly at the eclipse taking place. Wear a head covering if you have to be outside so you don't absorb the shadow. Ideally, this is a time for spiritual practices such as meditation, chanting and fasting. Set intentions and honor the sensitivity of this time. It is also widely recognized that during and between eclipses, starting new endeavors will not bring positive results. No new projects, relationships or activities should start in the eclipse portal. Notice what needs are arriving, then take action after the eclipse portal closes. Best to lay low, attend to spiritual pursuits, get extra rest and work with your inner shadow very consciously during this cycle.

This is a powerful time to honor your emotional body wisdom and confront your inner shadows. Make necessary changes in your actions and choices. Release negative thought patterns, behaviors and inner dialogue that is keeping you stuck in patterns and cycles of lack. Clear, release and let go so that you have even more space for your deepest nourishment.

Solstice

Solstice arrives on the 21st at 03:02 am MT bringing the shortest day of the year for the Northern Hemisphere, and longest day of the year for the Southern Hemisphere. On this day, the Sun appears to stand still. This is the still point. Silence, pause, reflection is felt around the globe. Use this time for contemplation, meditation and quiet introspection. What are you turning towards? What are you turning away from?

Creative Ritual

New Moon Mandala

The new Moon and the closing of a year is upon you. As you empty your cup and let go of the last cycles, you are given the opportunity for creating something new and cultivating renewal.

Mandalas are my preferred activity for both new Moon and full Moon as they symbolize wholeness, a sacred container, and unlimited creative potential.

1) Come to your drawing pad and draw a circle. Use craypas, paints, pens, collage or any medium that speaks to you. On the outside of the circle write down the pieces of life you are discarding, that aren't working, that need to be let go of. These are the pieces of your self and your life that aren't bringing you harmony and joy and  you no longer want to carry with you.

2) Fill the inside of your Circle. The inside of your circle is where you are free to create what you are moving towards. What fulfills you? What do you need right now? What are you making space for in your life? What are you creating and manifesting in your life and on your path?

3) Harvesting. Title your mandala and let it speak to you. What message does it have for you? Let your mandala answer the questions below.

Harvesting Questions:

I am, I want, I need

What am I filling my Self with?
What am I emptying my Self of?
What am I letting flow towards me?
What am I moving away from?
What am I making space for in my life?
What am I no longer willing to take with me on my journey?

The major transits impacting all signs this year are Saturn in his own sign of Capricorn. Jupiter debilitated in Capricorn, as well as transiting Aquarius. Rahu exalted in Taurus, and Ketu exalted in Scorpio. Individual results will vary widely depending on your natal chart.

ARIES

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:
Throat, voice, speaking, sexual organs and excretory organs, knees, shins, and calves. Money, nourishment, sexuality, fear of death, trauma, dharmic offerings, visibility, gains, older siblings, friendships.

It’s time to speak up, use your voice, and ask for what you need. You are asking for more- more money, more nourishment, more visibility. What steps are you taking to make this a reality? You may feel blocked or restricted with your speaking and voice. Time to get extra support with your self expression and your power. Ask for help of you will keep walking into the same challenges with no real solutions or results.

Vulnerability is at an all time high so don’t take unnecessary risks. This is a powerful time, however, to revisit past trauma and get extra support for navigating fear, death, health issues, spiritual awakening and sexuality. Lean closer to your vulnerability and fear. Don’t bypass or avoid it. This will only intensify it and keep you stuck. Be courageous with your fear and you will be able to make space for even more nourishment on multiple levels of life.

TAURUS

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Head, face, whole body, pelvis, pelvic bowl, thighs and knees. Sense of self, identity, ego, sensitivity, relationships, sexual trauma, support, dharma, gurus and teachers, inner authority, dharmic offerings.

Rise and shine Taurus! You must face yourself fully and completely in this cycle. Face your shadow and peel back the layers. The obstacles you continue to face require your commitment and perseverance. Bypassing is no longer an option for you.

Growth and expansion are possible, but not without diligence and honesty. What are you moving towards? Why? You say you want expansion and visibility, but you need to get honest with yourself about what motivates you. There is still fear holding you back from your truth and passion. Move closer to the fear that keeps you stuck in self betrayal.

The vulnerability of your closest relationships is key to unlocking your blockages. Address the trauma in your pelvis and pelvic bowl. Get honest about your sexual trauma and relationship grief. You have the potential for big awakenings if you can truly show up for your body and relationship challenges. Go forward with courage.

GEMINI

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Feet, lower stomach, sexual organs, excretory organs, thighs. Enemies, conflict, healing, vulnerability, fear of death, unconscious and subconscious terrain, dharma, life purpose, ancestors, dreams, losses.

Your work in this cycle is primarily with the ancestors and past karmas. Are you doing your grief work? It is truly nonnegotiable at this time as you sift and sort through the layers. As you confront the pain, conflicts, vulnerabilities and fears, ask yourself how much of this is yours? How much of this is your ancestors? How much of this is the collective? All three layers are important and impactful- and will shape and transform you.

The resistance to facing conflict becomes a challenge in this cycle. You need to get radically honest with yourself and listen to your gut intelligence. Are you really being congruent- with yourself and others? What your body tells you is the truth, but your actions, choices, behaviors and communication need to match your body wisdom. Practice expressing yourself with complete honesty. What are you afraid of?

CANCER

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Solar plexus, upper gut, pelvis, pelvic bowl, sexual organs, excretory organs, shins and calves. Empowerment, children, playfulness, romance, the masculine, relationships, sexuality, support, creativity, vulnerability, fear of death, unconscious and subconscious realms, friendships, gains, older siblings.

Break free from the illusion of self doubt and disempowerment. How are you betraying yourself still? Where are you disconnected from your own power? Awaken to your potent power and purpose. Deepen your gut intelligence on multiple levels. Through diet and digestion, core work, playfulness and creativity.

Notice what sparks your child-like sense of wonder and joy. Are you feeding your inner child well? You need this pleasure for your dharmic path and purpose. Your offerings will not be clear without your inner child, so pay close attention to the wisdom it shares with you. Gains and success come from this creative play, so it is worth your time and effort to strengthen this part of yourself.

LEO

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Heart, chest, lungs, lower gut, pelvis, pelvic bowl, knees. Emotional body, breath, land, home, property, mother, conflicts, enemies, bad habits, healing, relationships, sexuality, support, dharmic offerings, visibility.

This is the year you finally crack your heart wide open. This is the year your grief work is nonnegotiable. This is the year you heal those mother wounds and fully show up for your emotional body wisdom. No numbing or avoiding this time.

Your heart, emotions, home, and mother will be forcing you to look more closely and do your inner work in a new way. Heal the trauma living in your heart so you don’t have to keep carrying around this pain. You are making space for even more love and nourishment. Just say yes!

Honoring inner conflicts are key for you in the coming cycle. Finding balance with inner and outer, self and other, your needs and your clients’ needs. Show up for your self and your body fully. Listen to your needs and express them. Conflicts can be mitigated or avoided when you are truly congruent. Are you being fully present with your body and its wisdom? Are you letting your relationships know what you really need?

VIRGO

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Hands, arms, shoulders, solar plexus, upper gut, lower gut, thighs. Self expression, expressive arts, creativity, courage, empowerment, the masculine, playfulness, children, conflicts, healing, enemies, dharma, soul purpose, inner authority.

Your creativity holds the key to your courage. Lean into the trauma and grief you are carrying with your creativity. The fear of your full self expression must be honored and addressed more fully so you can be freer to up level your life and soul purpose. Your willingness to get creative with your life determines your success. Start creating! Use all mediums and try new things. What is inspiring you? What feels fun and nourishing? Move in that direction.

Your creative expression supports unfolding wisdom and empowerment. Find balance and harmony with the masculine and your inner power. Clear the gut and watch digestion carefully. Prevent stagnation and constipation by eating easily digestible foods, doing seasonal cleanses, and following Ayurvedic guidelines.

Digest and release past grief so you have more space for your full expression of power and purpose. Resource from within your gut wisdom and ask your body to share what it needs. This will support congruency and healing on multiple levels of your life.

LIBRA

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Throat, voice, heart, emotional body, chest, lungs, solar plexus, upper gut, sexual organs, excretory organs. Voice, self expression, nourishment, money, heart, home, mother, land, property, the masculine, empowerment, fear of death, vulnerability, unconscious awareness, sexuality.

Attend to your voice and address your fear of full self expression. This resistance to speaking your truth, sharing your heart songs, and expressing your needs, is costing you deeper nourishment and pleasure. Lean closer to the trauma living in your throat and heal the fear of being visible in this world. Focus more on self expression and sharing your needs authentically. The intimacy you crave is dependent on you being fully honest with yourself- and others.

Listen closely to your heart and strengthen the balance between inner and outer, self and other, visibility and invisibility. Boundaries are key- physically, energetically, emotionally, verbally. Practice a new way of being in your body. One that honors your inner wisdom- while also being present with others. Can you hold both? Your heart is your guru in this cycle. Notice what it tells you about your inner wisdom and the truth of who you are.

As you deepen your understanding of your own power, let it guide you towards deeper nourishment, play, romance and joy. Notice how this supports deeper layers of your path and purpose. Follow the joy- even if it feels incredibly vulnerable.

SCORPIO

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Head, face, whole body, hands, arms, shoulders, heart, chest, lungs, pelvis, pelvic bowl. Identity, sense of self, sensitivity, courage, self expression, expressive arts, heart, home, emotional body, land, property, sexuality, relationships, creativity, support.

Peel back the layers of your identity and shed the old, outworn parts of yourself. You are no longer that person anymore. Are you still carrying around that old baggage and self hatred? It’s time to radically let go and release.

This is a major cycle for waking up! Don’t go back to sleep. Open your eyes, honor your extreme sensitivity, let your differences become more visible. Strip away the illusions holding you back and lighten your load.

Self expression and creativity are key in this cycle. Use your hands to create and let them teach you more about yourself and your wisdom. Source from your creativity and from the arts. Get more courageous with being visible and share your inner wisdom in new ways. It may feel vulnerable, new, edgy- but go for it. Create with your grief and let it move.

SAGITTARIUS

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Feet, throat, voice, hands, arms, shoulders, lower gut. Ancestors, dreams, losses, release, voice, self expression, expressive arts, courage, money, conflict, healing, enemies, digestion.

Honor the deep release taking place- for you and your ancestors. Lighten up, let go, release the past. Spend time in solace and attend to your spiritual body more fully. Take time for retreats and alone time. Meditation is a good use of your time and energy. Just make sure you aren’t running away from your self, your life, or others. Can you find balance with spiritual and material life?

As you spend more time alone, notice what needs are surfacing. Are you being honest with yourself and expressing your needs to others? Honor conflicts and challenges by showing up more fully. Speak, express, and share your needs. There’s a tendency to be passive aggressive when you aren’t honest with your needs and boundaries. You can avoid conflicts and challenges just bey being honest with yourself, and clear and direct with others.

CAPRICORN

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Head, face, whole body, throat, voice, solar plexus, upper gut, shins, calves. Sense of self, identity, ego, voice, self expression, money, empowerment, the masculine, children, playfulness, friends, gains, older siblings.

It’s time to find more balance in your life and body. Where are you still fighting yourself and resisting ease and gentleness? What is the grief holding you back and making life so hard? Transform the challenges you keep confronting so you can create a new identity for yourself. The new you allows life to be simple, easy, and nourishing. This includes upgrading your personal mythology around money and wealth.

It’s time to speak up and speak out! This supports your visibility and your ability to be seen in new ways. Staying invisible is no longer an option. It may feel scary to expand right now, but you can no longer afford to resist your own wisdom and power. Step proudly into your power and ask for what you need. Playing small helps no one.

AQUARIUS

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Feet, head, whole body, heart, chest, lungs, knees. Ancestors, release, endings, dreams, solitude, retreat, sense of self, identity, ego, heart, home, land, mother, emotional body, offerings to the world, visibility.

Let the ancestors support you with deep transformation and spiritual awakening. Spend time in solace and on retreat. Attend to your loneliness and old grief. Most of this is ancestral, but needs your attention. The clearing and releasing you are doing right now is preparing you for a new sense of self. Who are you becoming? What are you creating for your one, precious life?

This is a cycle of big endings and release, as well as powerful openings and beginnings. Attend to lose ends and parts of you that need to be let go of- so you have space for the new. Pay close attention to your inner wisdom and take plenty of pauses. Listen carefully to what is arriving. Going too fast will prevent your integration and downloads from taking place. Less is more for now.

PISCES

Personal mythology and body parts to work with:

Hands, shoulders, arms, thighs, shins, calves, feet. Self expression, courage, the expressive arts, dharma, inner authority, teachers and gurus, gains, friends, older siblings, retreat, solace, ancestors, endings.

Courageously move towards self expression and the arts in this cycle. Explore new things, try new mediums, find new ways to express yourself. Use your hands and create! There are some important discoveries to be made for your dharma and soul purpose. The more creative you become, the more doors will open. Let your creativity guide you.

Listen more to your self and your own body. Notice where you give your power away to “authorities”. Clean up past trauma with abusive authority figures and those in positions of power. Move into right relationship with your inner authority and deepen your self trust. You are your own guru. You always have been, and you always will be. Your own body holds the key to your truth and passion. Stay close to what feels good, what nourishes you, and what brings you joy.

November Full Moon Eclipse Wisdom + Creative Ritual

“Where we think we need more self-discipline,
we usually need more self love.”

- Tara Mohr

The second to last full Moon of the year comes on the 30th of November at 02:29 am MT while Moon is powerfully positioned in his favorite sign of Taurus.

Moon is in its mulitrikona degrees at the time of the full Moon, while transiting Rohini nakshatra. A penumbral lunar eclipse opens the two week eclipse portal, supporting deep shadow work. This cycle is important for your creativity and manifestation. Awaken your big desires and dreams from their slumber. Stop playing small!

Rohini nakshatra is a powerful place of manifestation in the sky. Ruling god Brahma and his wife Saraswati bring creative power and potential to Rohini. In the holy trinity of gods, Brahama is the creative force. Without him, life would not be possible. In Vedic lore, Lord Brahma created the entire universe from his navel. His wife Saraswati rules over the expressive arts as well as knowledge and wisdom, technology and machines. Together, Brahma and Saraswati spark desire and bring it into form. As an extremely creative and sensual constellation, Rohini can fulfill desires, support manifestation, awaken deep nourishment, and increase sexuality and sensuality.

What desires need your attention right now? What are you creating on your path and what steps are you taking to make it happen? How can you come back to sensuality and pleasure more fully? What needs to be created, expressed, nurtured- in order for you to be fulfilled? What are you manifesting right now and why?

This full Moon and penumbral lunar eclipse opens the two week eclipse portal. This eclipse cycle will close December 14th with a total solar eclipse at 06:33 am MT.

Remember that eclipses intensify everything and tend to make mountains out of mole hills- so we can see what we have been avoiding or negating within the unconscious realms. Leading up to and around the eclipse may be particularly uncomfortable. Lunar eclipses tend to especially intensify the emotional body landscape.

The eclipse portal will open with a penumbral lunar eclipse on the 29th. The lunar eclipse begins on the 30th at 12:32 am MT and ends at 04:53 am MT, with the maximum eclipse occurring at 02:42 am MT. This eclipse will be visible in north America, Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, the Pacific, Atlantic and Arctic.

This opens a two week cycle of shadow that is not good for starting new projects, new endeavors, or relationships. Emotions tend to intensify during eclipses and shadows are much stronger. You may feel less clear and focused so don't make sudden decisions. Challenges often intensify so we can see them more clearly and make the necessary changes that will support new growth. This can be a time of immense inner transformation if used properly.

From a Vedic perspective, it is not advised to be outside during an eclipse or to look directly at the eclipse taking place.

Use the eclipse day for spiritual practices, rest, retreat and your dharmic path. Set intentions for the coming weeks and honor your self care. Honor you emotional body wisdom and confront your inner shadows. Make necessary changes in your actions and choices. Release negative thought patterns, behaviors and inner dialogue that is keeping you stuck in patterns and cycles of lack. Clear, release and let go so that you have even more space for your deepest nourishment.

Full Moon Mandala

Come to your drawing pad and draw a big circle.  Use craypas, paints, pens, collage or any medium that speaks to you. Fill your circle (Full Moon) with what is nourishing you right now. Fill your circle with all your abundance, desires, prosperity, dreams and hopes. Nothing is too big, nor too small for this circle. Let your fullness be expressed in this mandala.

Let these questions prompt your mandala creation:

What gifts are you asking of Brahama and Saraswati in the cycle to come? What is supporting balance and harmony in your life? Who and what is feeling especially nourishing right now? What are you attracting and aligning with on your path right now?

Give your full Moon Mandala a title.

Let your mandala speak. If your full Moon mandala had a message for you, what would it say?

2) Harvest from your mandala. Answer these questions:

I am, I want, I need
I sense, I feel, I Imagine, I express

What feels nourishing and fulfilling right now?
Where do you need more nourishment?
What are you opening to in the cycle to come?
What are you closing to in the cycle to come?

What are you manifesting and creating for yourself and your path?

A possible next step would be to move your image. Use this mandala to inspire a movement exploration with your body. This will support an embodied integration of your powerful full Moon Mandala.

Jupiter In Capricorn: Strengthening and Trusting Your Inner Wisdom, While Gathering More Support and Guidance

11/19/2020

Picture

Jupiter Transit Dates:

Transits Capricorn November 19th, 2020 to April 5th, 2021
Transits Aquarius April 5th, 2021 and retrogrades back into Capricorn September 14th, 2021 until November 20th, 2021.
Jupiter retrograde June 20th, 2021 to October 17th, 2021
Transits Aquarius November 20th, 2021 to April 13th, 2022

An unusual dance of Jupiter begins November 19th, 2020. As he shifts into his debilitation sign, Capricorn, he joins Saturn here. Jupiter transits usually last about one year, but his dance will be a bit of a slide forward and backwards in the months to come. This movement provides a chance to retrace your steps and do some necessary clean up that may have been missed along the way.

Saturn is content in his own sign of Capricorn, while Jupiter feels too constricted here. Saturn feels balance and Jupiter feels restraint, yet the two planets actually can provide balance and harmony when they collide. In fact, Jupiter’s expansion and Saturn’s contraction, create alignment with both inner and outer realms.

What does balance and harmony feel like in your body? In your life?

Saturn is the planet of grief and effort. He can squeeze and cause pressure to Jupiter's expansive ways. A debilitated planet can't offer much outer support as its energy turns inward. This transit can cause challenges with all things Jupiter- so be mindful of what needs are surfacing and what changes and adjustments need to be made on your dharmic path.

Jupiter in his sign of debilitation will turn him deeply within, which is not great for worldly, external pursuits. No debilitated planet loves being seen, expressive, bold, or visible because they can only express themselves at 0% capacity. The energy is vulnerable, weak, invisible at times. Yet it can awaken the inner realms in very potent, magical ways. I find debilitated planets to be very spiritual as a result- if we are willing to take a deep dive into our depths. They ask us to move closer to our vulnerabilities, insecurities, and in many ways our shadows. How can that be a bad thing?

Capricorn is a hard working sign of effort. Hence, ruling planet and blue collar worker, Saturn, feeling comfortable here. Jupiter, however, has more of a royal expression. He wants ease, comfort, grace, and doesn’t do well with hard work or effort- unless it involves knowledge and wisdom.

Are you resisting your visibility in some way? Do you notice yourself holding back or hiding?

Challenges With This Transit

The mistake that many people will make in this transit is resisting necessary support and guidance. You might also make poor choices with guidance and support, so be mindful that the resources you use check out. Be cautious of fraudulent behavior or people who misrepresent themselves. Don’t push away support that has been helpful, just because you think “I can do it alone”.

Debilitated Jupiter often causes people to derail their progress or move into patterns of adharma because they are not listening to their inner wisdom or facing their fear fully. Poor judgement and missed opportunities are likely in this transit if you are not honoring your body, its needs, and your dharmic path.

You will need a solid team of support in place for this transit. This is nonnegotiable! Wherever you lack proper holding and guidance, or you are missing support, the hole will become more obvious at this time. More support is better in this cycle, not less.

Be careful of falling into old sabotage behaviors or getting lazy. Debilitated Jupiter can’t offer much support, so it will require diligence with your dharma, your inner wisdom, and the guidance that you offer others. If you are a teacher, wisdom worker, or someone who shares knowledge and wisdom as your purpose, this transit will require extra resilience, focus, restructuring and intention. You may lose sight of your goals, desires, clarity or focus. You may feel disheartened, burned out, overburdened. All the more reason to have the right people around you to help you remember your strengths, direction, and truth.

Jupiter will be vulnerable and weak in this transit for many. Get extra rest, attend to your inner needs, and listen carefully to your body wisdom. Make meditation, time in Nature, and simplicity a top priority. If you are willing to dive deeply, you will find some very potent wisdom within. Resisting your inner wisdom and deepest needs, however, will cause unnecessary suffering and grief.

Look to see where Capricorn lives in your jyotish chart. The theme of this house will provide you with more insight about this transit. This house theme will show you what areas of your life will need extra support and where your vulnerabilities may feel more visible and challenging. Seek balance in this area of your life and body. Listen carefully to this body part.

The Nature Of Jupiter

Jupiter is a planet of sattva, purity. His intention is to purify what is impure and to awaken pure knowledge. He prefers the spiritual realms and offers spiritual support and guidance when well placed in the natal chart. When we go against him, he can be overpowering in his attempts to bring us back to spiritual harmony and balance. When strong, he brings us pure knowledge, wisdom, and support. When he is weak, he disrupts our ability to receive wisdom, support, and proper guidance- which can have dire impact on your dharmic path.

As the planet of expansion, satwa (purity) and akasha (space), Jupiter brings us knowledge and wisdom as well as new awareness. The Sanskrit name for Jupiter is guru (teacher), expressing the support and nourishment he provides. As Jupiter moves around the zodiac, he sparks learning and growth through wisdom, guidance, support and resources. Whatever he touches, he expands- which may feel helpful or uncomfortable at times.

Jupiter transits are roughly one year long and impact all levels of wisdom, knowledge, comfort and support. He leads you to your dharmic path and supports the nourishment gained along the way. Positive effects of Jupiter  bring comfort, support and understanding. He brings learning through greater awareness and expansion of consciousness- which of course is not always comfortable. He is the ultimate teacher (for better or worse) providing some of the most poignant life lessons.

Challenges with Jupiter include lack of support, knowledge, and dharma. When Jupiter is not strong in the chart, there may be little to no support offered, few resources or missed opportunities. Dharma may be impossible to find with a weak or challenging Jupiter in the natal chart. Everyone can benefit from the helpful and supportive resources that Jupiter provides. However, without his support, challenges and struggles increase- which often bring tragedy, trauma and chaos.

As the guru, he represents teachers of all sorts- including coaches, healers, guides, mentors, therapists, wisdom keepers and shaman. Receiving the blessings of Jupiter requires that you allow the nourishment and wisdom of this type of support to be received. Negative influences upon Jupiter in the jyotish chart, will create challenging experiences with teachers and a resistance to knowledge and wisdom. Whereas positive influences upon Jupiter in the jyotish chart will offer nourishing and supportive experiences with teachers, wisdom and guides.

If Jupiter is a naturally benefic, or positive planet, in your chart, the coming transit may be offset slightly. Jupiter loves dharma, right action, spiritual gifts and wisdom. He is a great support for aligning and clarifying your dharmic path. Using this time wisely will be important for making progress on your path and getting soul level support.

If Jupiter is not a positive resource for you, this transit can offer certain challenges with knowledge, wisdom, guidance and support- especially for your dharmic path. You may lose support, be forced to restructure, face hardships and lack of resources. The impact of a weak Jupiter will mostly be felt as he moves through Capricorn and will improve with his entry into Aquarius. Notice what comes to light and take action. For everyone, a Jupiter yagya is strongly recommended for this transit to buffer the vulnerabilities.

Do you have the right kind of support right now? Do you have enough support right now? Do you have both spiritual and material support on your team? What feels like it’s missing?

Rahu in Taurus, Ketu in Scorpio: Integrating and Awakening the Extremes of Material and Spiritual Realms
September 23rd, 2020 to April 12th, 2022

The Dance of Shadow and Light

Whenever the darkness is not integrated and unified with the light, the effects will not be balanced or harmonious. The shadow always seeks the light and the light will always return to darkness. This is a Law of Nature- as they are one and the same.

Ultimately, Rahu can not be denied, nor Ketu- his counterpart in karmic liberation. One's jyotish chart shows where the shadow is seeking light and how it will bring your awakening.

The blessing of your courageous efforts and your willingness, is finding that within the darkest and most disturbing parts of yourself, you will actually find the missing pieces you are desperately longing for; your whole and empowered life. If you are truly willing to courageously look into your own shadows you will undoubtedly find the very gifts you so desperately long to receive. Your shadows in fact hold the gifts you seek for wholeness, for your dharmic giving, your offerings to the world, and for a meaningful life.

We all have resistance. Finding the resistance within yourself and within your life, will point the way towards your own shadow parts. Remember that the energy you use to resist your own darkness takes incredible energy to maintain, and is a drain to the vital life force energy that could be put to good use elsewhere. Energy you could put into living your one precious life- actualizing your dreams, taking bold, fulfilling action steps!

We each have an attraction and repulsion dynamic within us-
a push and a pull.

What you desperately long for and desire is the core of your shadow work and points the way to all the pieces of your darkness. What you deeply long for is seeking you in other words. And it's hidden beneath your shadows. This shadow, and working with one's darkness in order to awaken, is the juxtaposition of Rahu (shadow) and Ketu (light) in ones Jyotish chart, and why Rahu is both darkness and compulsions, as well as desires and insatiable needs.

Let Rahu drive you towards your own wholeness. Let him show you what you long for, what you need the most in this life, and let him also show you what you are resisting simultaneously.

Wherever Rahu sits in your jyotish chart (the house, the sign, the planets he interacts with, the nakshatra he resides in etc.) points directly to the main theme of your personal life story. Rahu and Ketu are quite literally karma points and they show you why you have incarnated into this body, into this life, and what you are here to learn. The dance of shadow and light, Rahu and Ketu, fully express your ability and your willingness to grow and awaken in this life time. Will you continue to resist your shadows, your darkness (Rahu)? Or will the compulsion to emerge from the illusions be strong enough to force your awakening and crack you open (Ketu)?

The power within the shadow is two fold. When you resist your darkness, you refuse and resist the healing and the medicine that your life has to offer. You are essentially refusing and resisting awakening to your most essential gifts. These gifts always reveal your dharma, your life purpose, your reason for being alive, and thus there is an immense reward for your efforts- if you choose to take on the task fully.

However, it is not the path of ease, numbness, ignorance and denial. In order to awaken, you must invite in your shadow parts, continue to go deeper into your darkness in unending cycles, to dive for pearls of truth tirelessly- as though your life depends on it. It does.

This is why aligning with one's dharma, one's true reason for being alive, is not for everyone, and is in fact evasive for most people. For those who thrive on transformation though, the gifts are unending and continue to unfold.

The shadows after all, hold your most potent power, and the wisdom you need for your life and your cycles of death and rebirth. The skill then becomes not just the willingness to go into your shadow, your darkness, but to also know when to let go of it, to release and shift into something new.

Some will never walk into their shadows and bravely peel back the layers of their suffering and pain. For those willing to do this courageous work, you must also remember how to come up for air, to take a breath, to dance with both the darkness and the light, to heal and overcome the vow of brokenness, while continuing to bravely dance with your shadows cyclically.

Clients who come to me are walking this fine edge of wanting to awaken; there is a desire to know what their life means and how to overcome their biggest obstacles- and yet simultaneously there is a strong fear to look. This is the attraction/repulsion dynamic at play, a true expression of Rahu driving us towards answers, yet fearful of what we will find once we get there.

Rahu and Ketu are not planets at all, they are mathematical points on either side of the Moon with rather significant implications on our Self experience.

The Moon is arguably the most influential part of the chart- indicating our experiences within the womb and our relationship with mother, as well as our inner nature.

The Moon is our guide for emotional well being and our connection to our intuitive self. In fact, the Moon is so important to our life experience, the relationship the nodes have with the Moon indicates their impact on our emotional well being- among other things. Rahu and Ketu, the Moon and the rest of the chart, all create our own unique stories, mythologies and individual karmic dramas.

The nodes, as Rahu and Ketu are referred to, are mischievous in nature. They present our karmas to us in this incarnation. Without them, and their very valuable life lessons, we would not have incarnated into a human body. They are essential to this lila, this play of life, that we are involved with in this dimension.

Both Rahu and Ketu have their own unique array of offerings, but because they are shadow "planets" they often evade prediction.

Their nature is to deceive, mystify, to be illusive, and to blind us from our true nature. They represent forces that can't be seen and are the parts of ourselves that go unnoticed and unrecognized. When, and if, the shadow or veil of illusion is removed, and we do see what has been hidden from us, it is often extremely painful.

Rahu and Ketu request that we ask ourselves:

What am I not seeing or what am I not willing to see?
Where am I doubting myself or hiding from my truth?
Where are my desires imbalanced or out of harmony with Nature?
What is asking to awaken within my body and spirit?
What am I clinging to or unable to let go of?
Where can I lighten my load and allow loss?
What trauma and grief needs to be honored, digested, transformed?

Rahu + Ketu Transit:
September 23rd, 2020 to April 12th, 2022

Rahu Exalted in Taurus and Ketu Exalted in Scorpio:

On September 23rd, 2020, Rahu and Ketu change signs for the coming 1.5 years. They will be transiting their exaltation signs until April 12th, 2022. This is a powerful time for confronting and acknowledging your shadow work. Exalted planets are capable of expressing their results at 100% capacity- for better or worse. Don’t try to oversimplify the effects exalted and debilitated planets share. They have a variety of expressions, but the shadow nodes are notoriously unpredictable.

The shadow planets are extreme in nature and this transit will offer big changes to material life, shadow work and grief work, as well as your material and spiritual progress.

To understand how this upcoming transit will impact you, first identify what your personal mythology is based on your natal karma. The placements of Rahu/Ketu in your natal chart will share your life long shadow work with you and help you understand what you are here in this lifetime to awaken and transform.

Next, look to Taurus and Scorpio in your natal chart. What houses do they occupy? What does your natal chart share with you about these signs and their placements? The placements of Taurus and Scorpio in your natal chart represent the parts of your life and body that will be experiencing the most karmic activation in the coming 1.5 years.

My 2021 sidereal horoscopes for each rising sign will be shared in my 2021 Moon Wisdom Calendar.

Taurus correlates to the second house of the jyotish chart, supporting themes of food, mouth, throat, voice, money, as well as that which supports a new baby after birth. Second house matters are concerned with receiving nourishment and resources for life.

Scorpio is an expression of the eighth house of vulnerability. This house of mystery is connected to occult and mystical spirituality, fear, the animal body and animal instincts, unconscious and subconscious parts of ourselves, as well as past lives, diseases and challenges that are challenging to overcome. It correlates to sex organs and organs of elimination. Eighth house issues can bring debt, terror, intuition, sexuality and our deep rooted fear to the surface.

Not surprisingly, these two signs are mirrors of each other, expressing opposition through material and spiritual themes. Wealth vs. debt, material vs. spiritual, nourishment vs. loss, food vs. elimination, life vs. death.

As the shadow nodes pass through these two signs in the coming 1.5 years, expect these themes to be highlighted in extreme ways. The planet is facing the extremes of life and death very acutely right now. The polarities of lightness and darkness will widen. It will be even more important than ever to declare your movement towards the light, life, that which is sustainable for your body, spirit, and for life on Earth. This is a powerful cycle to stay grounded in truth, body, Nature, and that which has lineage and integrity. Align with Natural Laws, the wisdom of the Earth, that which supports life.

Remember that the nature of both Rahu and Ketu are extremes. They highlight our shadows to us so that we can actually see them. Expect material themes to amplify, while at the same time spiritual awakening to come to the forefront. The nodes express themselves suddenly, and in shocking ways- for better or worse. Ketu brings trauma, loss, and disconnection with him, while Rahu offers confusion, uncertainty and doubt. Ketu awakens us from the slumber that is Rahu.

This is a cycle that can intensify binaries, polarities, opposing views, clashing dogmas, and extreme imbalances. We have already been seeing this in our world very clearly, but this transit will intensify these extremes. On a personal level, that which supports balance, integration, embodiment, and aligning with the middle way, will bring more harmony into life and body.

Finding harmony between the spiritual and material realms will be nonnegotiable in the months ahead. Does your way of making money sustain you? Does it sustain the planet? Are you aligned with dharma or adharma? Are you moving in a direction that supports life or death?

It's time to deconstruct, decolonize, destroy and dismantle the systems of harm that move us further away from sustainability and life force. This extreme cycle of polarities can pave the way for something new, more sustainable, but it will require each one of us playing our part. Awaken from your slumber and the shadows that keep you in lack. It's time to move forward in a big way towards your dreams, desires, joy, and inner wisdom. When you hide your gifts, you help no one. When you hide from your dharmic path, you are hiding from the ancestors and the well being of the whole planet.

We are now at an extreme turning point on this planet.

This is the crossroads. We have choices to make- for ourselves, our bodies, the land, the environment, the home we call Earth, each other. These choices impact the ancestors and future generations. What is sustainable? What is not? What supports peacefulness and love? What instigates binaries and hatred? We have decisions to make. Hard lines to draw in the ground. What is acceptable behavior as humans, and what is causing more harm and suffering? Right now, we have actions to take, postures to assume, stances to be firm in. It is no longer acceptable to be silent, numb, avoidant. We have decisions to make about the future that must be made today. Do you move in the direction of life? Do you support the life of this planet? Are you creating a way of life that supports the future of all humans and the land? The Rahu and Ketu cycle ahead is one that will force us to confront the shadows we have not been willing to face before. Challenges and loss are inevitable. Suffering is optional. This is a powerful time to get creative. Innovate, co-create, think outside the box, move towards your dreams and desires. Align with dharma and the purpose of your soul.

Be mindful of getting lost, tangled, or immersed in extremes. Where can you find solid ground? What is your truth? What does your body tell you about landing, support, nourishment? What is real, and what is an illusion? Are you in right relationship with money and the material world? What are you creating for your life, for this planet? Are you integrating your spiritual and material realities? Are your desires running away with you? Stay connected to your inner wisdom, even as the outer world appears to go into chaos. Move closer to dharma, the ultimate integration of spiritual and material realms.

Now is the time to be brutally honest with yourself and your path. Weed out what is not moving you towards nourishment and joy. You are being asked to refocus on your dharma and not get lost in the darkness. During this major planetary transit, clarify what truly matters for your soul, and what needs your full attention and intention. If it doesn't move you closer to your soul purpose in life, it is likely adharma. Everything besides dharma is a waste of time and energy.

Rahu in Taurus:

Rahu transiting Mrigashirsha Nakshatra: September 23rd, 2020 to January 27th, 2021

Mrigashirsha is a soft and gentle nakshatra that reminds us to move towards the nourishment in life. Seek resources that support joy, nourishment and life force! The symbol of this constellation is a deer head and antlers, ruled by Soma. Herd animals, like deer, are constantly moving in the direction of a reliable food source. They move en masse towards the greener grass, safety, nourishment and fresh water. They move away from predators and are highly alert to challenges. Be like a deer and listen carefully. Are you alert and aware? Are you being proactive?Difficulties are a reminder to adjust and re-prioritize. Do your actions and choices support nourishment? Are you moving in a direction that supports life and joy? Are you moving towards your purpose in life or away from it? Rahu brings insatiable desires, confusion and questioning. Let the nourishment guide you and don’t get stuck in the doubt. This is a powerful time for growth and abundance. Use your energy wisely.

Rahu transiting Rohini Nakshatra: January 27th, 2020 to October 5th, 2021

As Rahu moves through Rohini, you have the ability to create something new for yourself and your life. This is the most powerful constellation for creation, creativity and bringing desires into tangible form. Rohini is a fixed constellation, which offers stable results and dharmic support. Now is the time to make your dreams a reality and take the necessary action steps to manifest it into form. The nature of Rahu is to create extremes and doubt. Are you in right-relationship with your dreams, goals, desires? Is there a balance, harmony and right action with your desires? Get focused on the direction you are going in life. Make your dreams a priority and start creating a life you love! What brings you joy? What are you passionate about? What moves you closer to sustainable nourishment? Say yes to your creativity! What are you creating for your one, precious life?

Rahu transiting Krittika Nakshatra: October 5th, 2021 to April 12th, 2022

A mixture of outcomes can occur with this portion of the sky. Agni rules this constellation. He supports transformational fire that supports life- in body and Nature. Fire removes excess and transforms matter into new forms. In this process of purification and clearing away excess, what remains is only the essential. Use this time to get clear, focused and aligned with your truth, power and purpose. Clear away the excess on all levels of life. If it doesn’t support dharma, get rid of it. Wherever there is excess that is not life supportive, you will be asked to purge it. Be prepared for loss, release and letting go in this cycle. With Rahu transiting this portion of the sky, the release could be extreme. Stay connected to your truth, inner wisdom, the light within. Let this light lead the way and don’t lose your focus. What is essential for your life path and purpose? What is in the way of your dharmic focus? What needs to be cut and cleared so you have space for your purpose and passion? Are you hiding behind the excess?

Ketu in Scorpio:

Ketu transiting Jyestha Nakshatra: September 23rd, 2020 to June 1st, 2021

Ketu illuminates and clarifies, supporting liberation. As he transits through the powerful constellation of Jyestha, expect powerful insights and truths coming to the light. Indra is king of the gods and rules over the senses and life force energy. He likes control of the bodily senses and its urges. Meditation, health and wellness routines, eating green foods, as well as spiritual alignment will be supported at this time. This constellation can be very serious as well as sharp and dreadful. It cuts, clears and destroys in dramatic ways. This is a reminder to move into right relationship with your spiritual path and purpose. Adharma won’t be tolerated by Indra and he will make that known with forcefulness. Pay attention to what is not in alignment with your dharmic path. Clear the mind of excess clutter, align with the wisdom of Nature, refocus your attention and intention on what truly matters. Listen to the call of your Spirit. Where are you distracted or misaligned? Where are you misusing your life force energy? How can you re-prioritize and adjust your routine, spiritual practices, and your dharmic focus?

Ketu transiting Anuradha Nakshatra: June 1st, 2021 to February 8th, 2022

This constellation is soft and mild, which supports gentleness and compassion with self and others. A powerful transformation is taking place right now that can yield harmonious results. Friendships, alliances, and allies are even more important during this cycle. Do you have a solid support team in place? Honor all the steps that you’ve taken so far and acknowledge the success you’ve achieved. This is a powerful moment of pause and reflection for your path. Make necessary adjustments and keep moving towards the nourishment, support, and wisdom that feels good. Celebrate your successes and keep growing! Align with the details, precision, and focus necessary to get lasting results, but don’t get lost in perfectionism and over-achieving. Self love is vital right now. Are you asking for your needs to be met clearly? Where are you getting stuck in self harm? What feels good and nourishing on your path and in your body? What needs to be released, removed or transformed into something different?

Ketu transiting Vishaka Nakshatra: February 8th, 2022 to April 12th, 2022

This constellation has a dual rulership with Indra and Agni. There is a duality present with this portion of the sky, but also a co-creation process. This is a powerful time to strengthen alliances, support systems, grow your team, and gather more guidance for your path. No one succeeds alone! This constellation is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we join forces with supportive guidance. Even more important is the integration and balance of duality, and opposing forces. The need for harmony of both material and spiritual realms will strengthen at this time. Strengthen the ability to harmonize spiritual and material desires. Are you honoring both equally? Do you have guidance for both spiritual and material realms? Are you integrating spiritual and physical bodies intentionally? Where are you imbalanced or lop-sided?

The Wisdom of Rahu and Ketu
~for Your Dharmic Path

Transit Challenges of 2020: Why Does It Feel So Hard Right Now?!

3/13/2020

Picture

The entire world is being forced to hit reset right now. Our choices, actions, and behaviors have long been unsustainable. Now we have the chance to restructure and move forward differently.

Saturn is taking his time moving through his own sign of Capricorn right now. As much as he loves his own sign, Saturn is forcing a new kind of balance on every level of life as a result.

He doesn't care for excess and won't allow it. Wherever you have gotten away with excess in the past, it's not being tolerated in this cycle. This can bring a new overall balance and harmony into our world, but not without simplification, release, and slowing down. He allows for necessity, but nothing extra. Saturn is a loner, and brings loneliness and separation. He reminds us of what is important as a result.

As Saturn arrives in Capricorn, structures shift and take on new shape for the coming 2.5 years. The impact of this transit on your body and life will greatly depend on your relationship with Saturn.

Are you in alignment with natural time?

Are you listening to your body wisdom?

Are you honoring the cycles and rhythms of your body, the seasons, the Transits?

Are you balancing work and rest, movement and meditation, silence and stillness?

Remember that wherever you are out of balance with Saturn, he will give you a pinch. Always pay attention when he gives you a small pinch because the more you resist or avoid his messages, the louder he will get. When Saturn is shouting, there is dis-ease already fully established in your body already.

Since Saturn is the planet of grief, he will be asking you to find a new relationship with your grief, emotions and losses in this 2.5 year transit.

Read Even More About This Important Saturn Transit in My 2020 Moon Wisdom and Transit Calendar

While Saturn is asking us to simplify and ultimately find a new sense of structure and balance, the lunar nodes, Rahu and Ketu, are much more disruptive and chaotic this year.

We are seeing the challenging impact of the shadows through the Corona Pandemic, as well as natural disasters, extremes in the stock market, sudden losses and disruptions on all levels of life.

The nodes, as Rahu and Ketu are referred to, are mischievous in nature. They present our karmas to us in this incarnation. They represent forces that can't be seen and are the parts of ourselves that go unnoticed and unrecognized. When, and if, the shadow or veil of illusion is removed, and we do see what has been hidden from us, it is often extremely painful.

On March 7th 2019, our karmas shifted. Rahu moved to creative, airy Gemini and Ketu shifted to Sagittarius. This 1.5 year transit lasts until September 23rd, 2020. During this transit, both planets move through mulitrikona degrees, then into exaltation, creating even more intensified results with our shadows.

As Rahu shifted into Ardra nakshatra and Ketu into Mula nakshatra, the challenges have greatly intensified. Both of these constellations are arguably two of the most challenging stars in the entire zodiac. With both Rahu and Ketu in challenging nakshatras simultaneously, it's a time to be extra cautious and honor the vulnerability of this time.

Ketu in Mula Nakshatra: January 15th, 2020 to September 23rd, 2020

Ketu in Mula nakshatra, forces the entire world to feel a deep uprooting taking place. It's important to understand that everyone on the planet will simultaneously be experiencing the instability of this transit. None of us will come out of this cycle the same person. Mula is considered a gandanta, notorious for pulling up the weeds within the psycho-emotional body levels of our being. The dark goddess, Nirrti, rules this constellation- often causing havoc, chaos and choices that lead to adharma. This is a time period that will provide immense, radical clearing in very unpredictable ways. The planet as a whole may feel very unstable as a result. The best use of your energy is to stay close to your dharmic path and do not get derailed. Slow down even more. Don't take unnecessary risks and focus on staying close to the body. Gather even more support than you think you need. You will need it.

Rahu in Ardra: September 11th, 2019 to May 20th, 2020

With Rahu in Ardra nakshatra, storm god, Rudra, takes center stage. His powerful energy increases exponentially with the magnification of Rahu. Big waves are likely- physically, materially and within Nature. Sudden, unpredictable surges of power will occur. Be very mindful how you use this big energy or the storms will swallow you up. This is a time period to be very diligent with staying grounded. Stay on top of the mind and don't let the imaginal realms pull you off path. Strengthen your roots so the storms don't destabilize you. Emotions will be strong, overpowering and challenging at times. Are you in right relationship with your emotional body waves, or are you getting lost in the depths of the ocean? Be careful with yourself and others. Challenging people may surface just to test your strength. Diligence with your shadow work is non-negotiable right now. Take responsibility for your own triggers and feelings. Gather even more resources and support to help you navigate the choppy waters.

Remember that this is not a time to take risks. Heed the desires of Saturn and honor his wisdom of slowing down, simplifying life, and honoring the need for silence, rest, and quiet. When we honor the desires of Saturn, the other planets fall into line naturally- even the extremes of the shadow nodes.

As Jupiter shifts to its debilitation sign, Capricorn, joining Saturn here, the need for honoring vulnerability strengthens.

On March 29th, Jupiter enters Capricorn and becomes debilitated. Here, he will have to contend with Saturn once again- while feeling the pinch of debilitation simultaneously. This can squeeze and cause pressure to Jupiter's expansive ways. A debilitated planet can't offer much outer support as its energy turns inward. This transit can cause challenges with all things Jupiter- so be mindful of what needs are surfacing and what changes and adjustments need to be made on your dharmic path.

Pay attention to this short transit of Jupiter in Capricorn as this will give you insights into what to expect in 2021 when he goes debilitated for an entire year. For now, we will see Jupiter re-enter his own sign, Sagittarius, on June 29th, 2020.

This is an important time for restructuring your life and making necessary adjustments to your life path. Rather than waiting until you are forced to make changes, be proactive and make adjustments to prevent crisis.

I am reminding clients that restructuring your dharmic business is inevitable this year. If you don't have an online offering yet (Ketu), now is the time to make it happen. Prepare for business challenges and disruptions in advance, and don't wait to make the changes that need to be made- or you will face unnecessary losses and challenges. Check in with me if you need help with these changes to your soul based business.

Remember that challenges are an opportunity to transform, change, and grow. Use the difficulties this year to create something new, innovate, get creative, and move in a new direction. This year does not have to be horrific- if you are willing to make big adjustments to yourself and your life. This includes doing your shadow work and being honest about your resistance and fear. When you are willing to show up for your own darkness, the path becomes more gentle.

November New Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual

11/25/2019

Picture

On the morning of Tuesday, November 26th, the Scorpio new Moon arrives while transiting Anuradha nakshatra. Sun and Moon collide in the sign of depth and transformation while the empty, dark Moon inspires possibility and potential. This is a particularly helpful cycle for turning your darkness into light. Prepare to activate something new and change old patterns and behaviors. What needs to be enlivened and awakened within you?

Anuradha nakshatra is ruled by Mitra who supports friendships and connections that support and uplift life. This constellation is also a powerful reminder of transformation and celebration. Symbolized by a triumphal gateway, this portion of the sky ushers in the arrival of improvement, upliftment and achievement. A powerful reminder that our darkness can be shifted and transformed into something life serving and empowering. Through your dharma, release and change your tragedy, pain and struggles into light, awareness and a powerful offering to the world.

In the waxing cycle ahead, spend time with quality people, dear friends and trusted allies. Ask for support from those you love and cherish. Work towards co-creation and connection. Acknowledge the challenges you face and commit to transformation and healing. Lighten your load and turn the heaviness and sorrow into ease and gentleness. The medicine for your journey is self love and acceptance.

What needs to be reframed? How can you rewrite your story? How do you want to feel and what direction do you want to go? What steps are you committed to taking so you can finally feel successful?

As of November 16th, Sun has just moved to Scorpio and out of debilitation, joining Venus here. This will feel like a nice lift after the past month of low energy and deep, inner focus. However Sun will be shining his light now on the depths of Scorpio which supports powerful inner transformation and darkness coming to light. Bring awareness to what needs to shift and where you can support this awakening.

Tension comes with the conjunction of Mars and retrograde Mercury in Libra as these two energies want different things. Thinking vs doing may be struggling right now, particularly with matters of relationships and co-creation. Mercury goes direct on November 20th and begins to separate from Mars, until he moves into Scorpio on December 5th.

Jupiter is still in Mula nakshatra, having newly entered Sagittarius. Although he is stronger in degrees now, he is still transiting a constellation notorious for uprooting, untangling, clearing and transforming. There is a powerful spiritual process of shape shifting taking place for everyone on the planet right now.

Put on your seat belt because we have four more major planets who will be transiting through the powerful gandanta (gap) between Scorpio and Sagittarius taking place between now and January. As Venus, Mercury, Sun, and the Mars, pass through Mula nakshatra in the coming months, we will all be experiencing major life change.

This will cause a powerful uprooting, Awakening, and transformation process to take place on all levels of body, mind, spirit and emotions. None of us will be the same by the end of this. Each one of us is making space for something entirely new. Pay attention to what needs to be released and tossed out once and for all so you have the space for an entirely new way of existing.

Mars is the last planet to go through the gandanta February 8th, ushering in a completion and focused release which will support entirely new type of action. Pay attention to what steps need to shift and change so you can create very different results for your life and path.

Remember that Sagittarius correlates to the 9th house of dharma in the zodiac. As Jupiter, Saturn, Ketu, Venus, Mercury, Sun, Mars and Moon move through this incredibly spiritual placement, your path, purpose and dharma are going through a deep and life changing transformation and refinement. Mediocrity won't be tolerated.

What needs to shift so you can be in right relationship with your path and purpose?

What is in your way of being connected, aligned, and focused on your dharma more fully?
Where are you resisting your passion, desires and inner wisdom?

What types of support, guidance and wisdom do you need to support you in this dharmic transition?!

Jupiter in Sagittarius: Seeking Spiritual Balance and Support + Horoscopes

10/30/2019

Picture

Normally, Jupiter's transits are a year long, but this year-long transit of Jupiter moving through Sagittarius is unusual and not straight forward. Sagittarius is Jupiter's most balanced transit, however, he must contend with Saturn and Ketu for the majority of his passage through his favorite fire sign. Sadly, a large part of this transit is cut short as Jupiter enters his debilitation sign for several months. Unfortunately, we won't get the full benefits of Jupiter in his most balanced, comfortable placement, however, there are still many spiritual benefits that we can look forward to.

As Jupiter lands in Sagittarius on November 4th, he enters the challenging gandanta of Mula nakshatra while also joining Saturn and Ketu in this sign. Expect inevitable restructuring, contraction, losses and grief thanks to Saturn and Ketu. There will be clearing and releasing taking place, which can ultimately lead to more gains further down the road. Remember that Jupiter wants to purify, so listen carefully to his requests. What are you making space for?

When Jupiter collides with Saturn and Ketu, a natural restructuring will be taking place. Saturn is the planet of grief and has an energy of contraction. Ketu is highly spiritual, disembodied, and shows us where we need more connection and awareness. Jupiter will be bringing the necessary wisdom and support that is needed to heal, grow, expand, and find more wholeness on your dharmic path.

Saturn will move to his own sign, Capricorn, on January 23rd, 2020 which will give Jupiter a little breathing room while he transits Sagittarius. However, Jupiter then shifts to Capricorn, his sign of debilitation, on March 29th, 2020, where he will have to contend with Saturn once again- while feeling the pinch of debilitation simultaneously.

Once Jupiter lands in Capricorn and goes debilitated, then goes retrograde on May 14th, a reversal will take place called Neecha Bhanga. A debilitated planet that goes into retrograde motion is said to become exalted- almost. This will strengthen the effect of Jupiter and will offer more support while he moves through Capricorn, however, it's not a complete cancellation. I've found personally that much of the impact of the debilitation can still be felt- so be mindful that this is still a delicate transit.

Sagittarius is a fire sign that is deeply connected to spiritual desires. As the number nine, it naturally reflects the wisdom of the 9th house of dharma. Symbolized by an archer pulling his arrow back, this sign needs to remember to take action, not just prepare. There is a tendency for "over-preparation" with this sign, rather than taking focused, right-action. Notice where you are causing delays, creating obstructions, resisting forward momentum. The support will be here for you to move forward, but you must take the steps to make it happen. This sign wants fairness and justice, as well as truth. The shadow side to this sign is dogma, puritanical beliefs and ideals.

Jupiter in Sagittarius: November 4th, 2019 to November 19th, 2020:

Moves to Capricorn on March 29th, 2020
Retrograde May 14th, 2020
Moves back to Sagittarius on June 29th, 2020
Goes direct on September 12th, 2020

Jupiter is a planet of sattva, purity. His intention is to purify what is impure and to awaken pure knowledge. He prefers the spiritual realms and offers spiritual support and guidance when well placed in the natal chart. When we go against him, he can be overpowering in his attempts to bring us back to spiritual harmony and balance.

If Jupiter is a naturally benefic, or positive planet, in your chart, the coming transit can naturally offer more gains, expansion and support on your spiritual path. This can be an especially powerful time for your dharmic path as Sagittarius naturally pulls from the 9th house of dharma.

The impact of a weak Jupiter will likely be felt as he moves through Mula nakshatra and goes debilitated in Capricorn.

November 4th, 2019 to January 4th, 2020: Jupiter in Mula Nakshtra

This is a time of powerful restructuring, uprooting and change. Mula is a gandanta- a gap between water and fire- notorious for uprooting on the psycho-emotional body levels. Ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti, this cycle is especially important for your dharmic path. Are you making choices that move you closer to dharma or further away from it?

Address self sabotage, resistance to your growth, and the neglect of your souls purpose. You may experience challenges, obstructions, or delays on your dharmic path. Gather the support, guidance, resources and tools you need to move forward with more clarity and focus. Don't lose sight of your goals, disires and spiritual intentions. Seek spiritual insights and wisdom, as well as deeper self trust. What needs to change once and for all- so you can finally move forward with more ease and gentleness?
A clearing is taking place. Allow the release to take place. Next steps will be planting your seeds of desire and intention.

January 4th, 2020 to March 7th, 2020: Jupiter in PurvaAshada Nakshatra

As Jupiter moves through PurvaAshada, the water goddess, Apas, enlivens. This is a constellation of perspiration and effort- which results in fruitful rewards. This transits supports purification, release and transformation- especially on the phsyical body level. This is powerful time for cleansing and cleaning up your lifestyle and diet.

Seek resources, support, guidance and tools that help you purify your life. Where there is impurity, Jupiter will be requesting you do clean up. Clear away the excess, the impure, the malnourishment. Make space for your deepest desires, nourishment and support. It's time to up-level on all levels of your life!
Use this time to water the vision, desires and goals you have for your life path and purpose. Focus your attention and actions on the direction you want to go and make the necessary space for what you truly desire.

March 7th, 2020 to July 26th, 2020: UttaraAshada Nakshatra

The intention of UttaraAshada is right action. Ruled by the Vishva Devas, goodness, truth, and purity are their desire. The "all gods" will support righteous behavior and choices, but adharma will not be tolerated. Are you in right-relationship with your dharmic path, your souls purpose? This constellation can be a powerful boon for the dharmic path, but if you are misaligned, you will be asked to clarify and refine your actions and choices. If you aren't getting the support you would like, it's time to take a different course of action. You are off path somehow. What needs to shift in order for more right-action?

What is your focus and intention right now? What are your desires? Clarify your direction and where you are putting your energy. What action steps move you closer to your goals, your dharmic path? What action steps are wasting your time and energy? Now is the time to get the lasting results you truly desire for your path and purpose. Don't hesitate and don't delay.

July 26th, 2020 to October 29th, 2020: Back to PurvaAshada Nakshatra

October 29th, 2020 to January 6th, 2021: Back to UttaraAshada Nakshatra

Aries: Your dharmic path has been going through major transformation and restructuring over the past year. You are being asked to make some very different choices on your path. Continue to notice where there is trauma, disconnection and disharmony with your choices, actions and behaviors. Are you resisting spiritual guidance and support? It's time to find more alignment with your true purpose and deeper needs. Get creative! Be courageous! Try something new! Move in the direction of your passion and purpose. As Jupiter shifts into your 9th house of Dharma, he brings more support, resources and guidance to help you clarify and affirm your path. Share your knowledge and wisdom in a new way. The good news is that Jupiter is leaving his most challenging transit through your 8th house, however, in the coming year he will be debilitated in your 10th house for a portion of the year, which causes challenges with your offering and visibility. Take note of the adjustments and changes that need to be made so that you can be seen and noticed more fully for your offerings. Growth and new wisdom is possible in this new phase so pay attention to your resistance and notice where you are refusing to grow. It's time for an upgrade.

Taurus: It's been a challenging year for you with lots of deep, inner changes. Fortunately, Saturn will be leaving your 8th house early 2020, which releases you from his most challenging transit. However, as Jupiter moves into Sagittarius, he enters your 8th house as well. Any planet that goes through the 8th house does not come out the same. You are going through immense transformation right now and it's important that you get the necessary support to help you move through this time. The 8th house is our unconscious terrain, which inevitably digs up our own darkness and undigested emotions. This is a very important time for you to be doing your shadow work, trauma work, and deep spiritual awakening. As Jupiter moves to your 8th house, seek new support, guidance and resources to help you move through this powerful transformation process. When Jupiter enters your 9th house of dharma, he goes debilitated. Be mindful of your relationship with authority figures, spiritual guides and gurus. Are you aligning with what you need? Are you refusing the support you desperately need? Turn the mud of the 8th house into the necessary knowledge and wisdom for your dharmic path. Be willing to face your fear so that you have more space for the joy. I highly recommend a Jupiter yagya for this transit to buffer the inevitable challenges.

Gemini: Self awareness is key right now. Focus on your inner growth and outer expansion. Relationships have been causing many challenges and delays, but soon the heaviness of Saturn will leave your 7th house, lightening things up a bit with relationships. However, early 2020, Saturn moves to his most challenging placement in your 8th house. The coming 2.5 years bring up very old, undigested grief- so get the support you need to transform your darkness into light. No planet that goes through the 8th house comes out the same. I highly recommend getting a Saturn yagya for this transit to buffer the inevitable challenges. The good news is that Jupiter entering your 7th house offers more solid support and stability- especially within relationships. Gather what you need for more holding, strength and community in the coming months. Seek the spiritual support and guidance that will help you navigate the cycle ahead. Clarify boundaries, relationship needs and work with the wisdom of your pelvis. When Jupiter dips into your 8th house for part of 2020, this will present some very real vulnerability. It's vital that you do your grief work at this time and get a yagya for Jupiter as well. This does not have to be a horrible year, but you do need to be diligent and honest with your challenges and needs, while seeking the right kind of support for your healing and transformation. Be vigilant!

Cancer: Saturn and Ketu have been living in your 6th house of healing for the past year and Jupiter will join them as he enters Sagittarius. This provides a new strength and wisdom to your support team, providing new wisdom, insight and clarity with your healing and inner guidance. If you are on a healing path, or a healer, this cycle will be especially beneficial to you as you deepen your understanding and depth. Expect your dharmic path to clarify and strengthen as well. Saturn shifts to your 7th house early 2020, which brings more solid support into your life, but when Jupiter enters Capricorn as well, you may feel vulnerability and lack of support on some level. Seek balance with relationships, your community and support team. Focus on your healing and health in the coming cycle and gather new resources, support and guidance for your path and purpose. This can be a time of more balance and harmony with your self and others. Work on releasing bad habits, self sabotage behaviors and the parts of yourself that keep you stuck in lack and malnourishment. Clear away the blockages and make space for more of what you need and want. Watch out for stagnation in your gut and digestion.

Leo: Jupiter shifts into your 5th house as he enters Capricorn, joining Saturn and Ketu here for part of his transit. It's been a challenging time for your children, joy, and sense of power over the past year, but Jupiter will provide new insight, wisdom and support moving forward. His balance and resources can offer you new awareness and focus for your path and purpose so use it wisely. Pay attention to your upper gut and clear and release stagnation with digestion. Saturn shifts to your 6th house early 2020 which means doing some grief work around bad habits and poor choices. When Jupiter moves to Capricorn and becomes debilitated, this reminder is even more important. Vulnerability and lack of support may cause challenges so pay attention to where you are self sabotaging and resisting the support and guidance you need. The coming cycle will require deeper healing, wisdom and resources for you so don't neglect your path and growth. Focus on where you want to go and gather what you need to get you there.

Virgo: You've had so much clearing and releasing taking place in your heart center this past year that you now have space for something new. The wisdom and nourishment of Jupiter is moving into your 4th house of heart, home, land and mother so use the coming transit to strengthen your emotional body and heart wisdom. As Saturn shifts to your 5th house of children and power, you will need to do some grief work in this area of your life. Once Jupiter enters your 5th house and goes debilitated, this area of your life will require you to listen more fully and deepen your harvest. What are you learning about your relationship with power? How is your heart wisdom supporting your inner wisdom? Use this time to clear the trauma that has been keeping you disconnected from your heart, emotions and mother. This pain is keeping you stuck in malnourshment and instability. It's time to heal, transform and awaken your inner wisdom and listen to your emotional body more fully. Use this wisdom to support your offering, deepen your path, and clarify your purpose in this world.

Libra: This is a time of strengthening your creativity and courage so that your dharmic path can deepen. Over the past year, you have been experiencing challenges with your creativity, hands, and courage- which has directly impacted your dharmc path. A restructuring has been taking place, clearing space for something new. Now that Jupiter is arriving in your 3rd house, more balance, support, resources and guidance can arrive. This will help challenges with authority figures, your support team, and spiritual growth as well. Saturn moves to your 4th house early 2020, requiring you to do some very concentrated grief work. Lean closer to your emotional body wisdom. As Jupiter moves into debilitation in your 4th house, the wisdom of your emotional body will require even more attention and intention. Challenges with heart, home, mother, land and property will require your focus so don't be neglectful. The wisdom surfacing can directly support your offering in this world so pay attention to what you are learning and how you want to share this with others. It's time to create something new. Be courageous.

Scorpio:  Jupiter is leaving one of his most powerful transits for you, but the good news is he will be in his own sign for at least part of his new cycle- which directly impacts your sense of nourishment. The expansion you've been experiencing this past year will continue to blossom and support your finances, wealth and resources. However, this comes with restructuring and  necessary changes. Once Saturn shifts out of your 2nd house and into Capricorn, you will feel even more lightening up in your pocket book, but the restructuring continues throughout this coming year. It's time to make some very real changes with your finances and how you deal with your money, as well as your relationship with food and sustenance. When Jupiter enters Capricorn and goes debilitated in your 3rd house with Saturn, your courage will faulter- which impacts your dharmic path. Be mindful of this inner cycle and what needs to change in order for you to return to a new sense of strength and self. You are making space to receive a whole new level of nourishment and creativity, but some clearing and restructuring must take place first. Be diligent with clearing out the old and making space for the new. It's time for a deeper sense of nourishment in your life and body. Use this cycle to upgrade your speech, voice, diet, and money.

Sagittarius: It's time for you to do some celebration as Jupiter lands in your first house in his own sign. You've come full circle and a 12 year Jupiter cycle is now finally complete. As Jupiter arrives in your head, expansion, possibility, and hope awaken. Maybe it's time to refocus your time and energy in a new direction? As Saturn moves to your 2nd house early 2020, even more ease and gentleness arrive for you at long last. For part of the coming cycle, Jupiter will be debilitated in your 2nd house with Saturn so be mindful of your finances and don't overspend. Upgrade your diet and eating habits and don't overindulge on sweets, alcohol, bad food, etc. This is a time best used for changing your relationship with nourishment in general. With Jupiter in your 1st house for part of the coming year, focus on expansion, growth and new wisdom. Relationships, children and your dharmic path all receive the support and guidance of Jupiter so focus on the positive and honor this powerful new chapter awakening for you and your life!

Capricorn: Layers of closure, release and emptying are strengthing for you. Saturn's long, belabored 30 year transit through your chart is starting anew as he enters Capricorn early 2020. This will feel like a fresh start for you on many levels, but some final clean up and release is necessary before you can hit refresh. Do your grief work and support the release process. A very spiritual transformation is taking place for you as Jupiter arrives in Sagittarius. Awaken the support and guidance of your ancestors and deepen your relationship with alone time, solace and retreat. Get comfortable with meditation and your dreams- and use them to strengthen your dharmic path. When Jupiter goes debilitated in Capricorn for a portion of 2020, your relationship with vulnerability and insecurity requires some attention. You will need to rely on your relationships, community and support team in new ways. Allow yourself to be supported and notice where you resist being held, seen and supported. Part of your support team is spirit, so don't neglect the relationship with your ancestors and spirit guides. Let them be your greatest resource.

Aquarius: Gains are arriving at long last. Have you made space for them? How much room have you created for receiving the nourishment you desire? Focus some attention on clearing and releasing, so you can benefit from the naturally beneficial transit of Jupiter moving through your 11th house in his own sign of Sagittarius. As Saturn shifts to your 12th house, early 2020, even more ease is created in your house of gains. Some necessary restrucutring needs to be done still, so don't neglect the clearing, transformation and release that is being asked of you. When Jupiter hits your 12th house and goes debiliated, much of this release work will become more clear and poignant. Let spirit and your ancestors guide you. Take time for rest, solace and meditation. Gains are likely as Jupiter moves through Sagittarius, so be diligent with your manifestation skills and be clear in what you are asking for. If you make space for it, you will be able to receive it more easily.

Pisces: You've had a powerful year of growth and expansion on your dharmic path and now it's time to bring this learning into action. You are in a process of restructuring your offering to this world, but as Jupiter shifts into your 10th house, more support and wisdom will arrive to help you create something new. Saturn shifts to your 11th house of gains early 2020, requiring you to focus on release, letting go and loss. This is part of the necessary clearing and new structure that must be implemented in order for the new gains to arrive. What needs to change and transform? What is the direction you want to move in? What are you creating for your new offering in this world? During part of this transit, Jupiter will be debilitated in your 11th house with Saturn. This is a delicate time for your growth and receiving. Be diligent and mindful with the necessary clearing, shifts and simplicity that are being asked of you. Cut, clear, delete. Refocus and realign with what truly matters to you. Strengthen your passion and purpose. It's time to create a whole new offering in this world.
