This Week's Intention: Expand and deepen the relationship with your heart wisdom. Use your creative powers to swim with the currents of your inner waters. Provoke and stir your desires and longings. Move towards the nourishment and let this feeling land more firmly within. The week begins with the Moon in the 10th tithi (phase) of the waxing cycle as Venus shifts to Sagittarius for the coming weeks. Mercury and Sun are more stable and in stronger degrees, yet the week begins with four sandhi planets still offering a sense of transition, change and uncertainty. There is still a lack of grounding that will be felt until mid week- once Venus strengthens in degrees. With retrograde Jupiter still at the edge of Leo, as well as Rahu and Ketu in the gap, moving to Leo and Aquarius, this theme of "neither here nor there" continues through February thanks to the nodes. Embodiment and grounding practices are vital at this time. Root into your truth and gather the answers you seek. Full Moon in Cancer is this Saturday, ushering in a heart-centered cycle ahead! Monday, January 18th Moon in 10th tithi Late morning, Monday, Moon shifts to Krittika nakshatra, inviting in the powerful forces of Agni to deepen your change process. There's a certain purification and clarifying process that is underway. Use simplicity to hone in on your needs. Themes of support and stability arrive. What do you need for more holding? Attend to your inner fire consciously and let your Agni guide you. Your hunger for life may be increasing. How do you feed this flame? Early afternoon, Moon moves to Taurus and into its exaltation degrees. Rahu, Mars and Saturn give their gaze. The emotional body is powerful and passionate, yet requests stability and support for greater ease. Channel this potency effectively and use it as a resource for accomplishment. Make your steps clear and focused to avoid burn out. Late evening Moon shifts to its mulitrikona degrees, supporting a more balanced use of the emotional body power. Find ways to land and ground. Gather resources to support integration and balance with your inner tides. Monday, January 18th, Venus moves to Sagittarius at 16:31 PST, inviting in a new creative cycle. There will be tensions with the creative process, perhaps chaos and overwhelm, yet the underlying forces at play are to provoke change in your creative currents. Can you land in the center of the storm and find your heart's desire? Venus and Mercury will be tracking each other closely in the coming weeks, continuing this dance into Capricorn next. Though Venus is not fond of Sagittarius, nor the gaze that Jupiter brings throughout this cycle, there is an integration being requested of you. Venus is the god of the asuras, the demons, or the human qualities we all express. Sagittarius is Jupiter's domain and his gaze intensifies his desires. Jupiter is the god of the devas, the gods. He encourages purity, spiritual pursuits and pure knowledge. Normally, the gaze of Jupiter is a comfort and a support, yet the relationship between Jupiter and Venus is tempestuous. Your demon and god qualities will be forced to face each other in this cycle. How can both get their needs met, in order for greater harmony within? Where are you spiritually-bypassing? This is a great time to be aware of where you may be refusing to look at your human parts with authenticity. Simultaneously, spirit is a great ally and a wonderful resource. However, even spirit wants you to evolve as a human being. It's time to be a fully integrated human. What resources and extra support do you need in order for this to happen? Relationships, finances, health and comforts will provoke your desire for change in the coming weeks. Where there are challenges and struggles, you will be more inclined to put in the effort for growth and transformation. What stories are intensifying? Where is there discomfort and dis-ease? Release and cleansing will be important resources during this transit, while cultivating a deeper relationship with your creative powers. Stagnant inner waters must be given the opportunity to move, flow and find a new current. This can be supported through intentional creative acts, the arts, embodiment and an entrepreneurial spirit. Remove and let go of the relationships that keep you strangled, undernourished and stifled creatively. This includes those that deplete your life force energy- leaving you dry and incomplete. Parts of yourself that you are clinging to, that keep you malnourished must also be let go. Keep cultivating a deeper relationship with your self in order to increase awareness about what you need for cultivating a richer creative process. Work with my creative rituals to support you with this. Find ways to increase your fluidity with healthy habits, nourishing foods and lifestyle practices, dance, chanting and singing. Let the legs ground you and deepen your presence of support in the pelvis. Integrating human and god qualities within will be supported through working with first and second chakras. Tuesday, January 19th Moon in 11th tithi The Moon continues through its mulitrikona degrees in Taurus and Krittika nakshatra until late morning, receiving drishti (gaze) from Saturn, Rahu and Mars. Eat a nourishing breakfast that supports the Agni. Don't skip or delay meals and tend to your inner flame with diligence. As Moon shifts into Rohini nakshatra, your manifestation abilities strengthen. Creative powers are activated and desires increase. How do you use your desires? Do you know how to manifest and create the life you long for? Are you working consciously with your creative powers? Use embodiment and the arts to strengthen this relationship today. Ruling deity Lord Brahma and his wife Saraswati are the masculine and feminine dynamic that will support your creative process. What do you want for your life and what feeling do you wish to create more of in your life? Rohini is a Dhruva (fixed) star, meaning that it supports lasting results. Plant the seeds of your desire and activate them. Use this for extra support. Venus begins to strengthen late afternoon. As it moves through its sandhi (gap) degrees, you can access the liminal space more acutely. Activate your creativity through the energetic, spiritual and ethereal. The body is your primary resource for this. Venus is moving through the first nakshatra of Sagittarius right now, Mula. This nakshatra is connected to adharma (against dharma) and removing that which doesn't serve or support your path. Bundle it up and discard it! Where is the chaos arriving to pull you out of your trust and truth? Wednesday, January 20th Moon in 12th tithi Let your creativity flow through the morning and use it to set intentions for the days and weeks ahead. As Moon shifts to Mrigashirsha nakshatra late morning, a new quality arrives on the emotional body landscape. The quality of this star is Mrdu, or soft and mild. It has a tender quality which requests growth and continual searching. Its aim and desire is nourishment, Soma, the divine nectar of life. It longs, wants, and creates from this yearning. Keep following your truth and access this wisdom from your body's messages. Where do you feel nourishment in your body? Where do you feel the absence of this? Keep moving towards this feeling of nourishment and cultivate more of what you want within you. As inner resourcing strengthens and solidifies, this translates out into your life and actions. Moon shifts to Gemini early evening, receiving direct gaze from the creative duo, Mercury and Venus, seven houses away. Take your creative activation from the previous days and start making your vision real. Dream big, create a vision board, write goals, paint your desires, dance your dreams, sing your songs of freedom! Retrograde Mercury invites you to re-visit, return and remember. Listen up. Thursday, January 21st Moon in 13th tithi The softness of Mrigashirsha continues until mid morning when Moon shifts to the sharp and dreadful nakshatra, Ardra. Notorious for emotional upheaval and big feelings, this star provokes deep, cleansing emotional body releases. Though uncomfortable, this constellation can also bring great power. Do you know how to work with both- strength and vulnerability? The emotional body is the key resource for deepening your relationship with both. How do you wield your sword of strength, yet land softly in your uncertainty and fragility? Life is both, human beings are both, the story of life is both. Honor your extremes, yet land firmly in the center of your being and ground into your strong, stable core. Let your heart wisdom remind you where that is. Friday, January 22nd Moon in 14th tithi Late morning Moon shifts to the gentle and benevolent star, Punarvasu. Aditi brings her resources, support and helping nature to increase wisdom, knowledge and truth. As the Mother of all goodness, she insists on our freedom and liberation, showering us with abundance when we are thirsty and in the dark. What wisdom, spiritual resources and guidance have you neglected, missed or brushed passed hastily? Ruling planet of Punarvasu, Jupiter, is currently in retrograde motion, retracing his steps through Leo. He supports your process of return and re-evaluation. Look closely at the support that is arriving to help you with empowerment, dharma, creativity, relationships and inner stability. Saturday, January 23rd Moon in 15th tithi, Purnima Moon moves into the 15th and final phase of the waxing cycle as Saturday begins, hopping into Cancer, its own sign. Sun gives his direct gaze and Ketu gives his drishti as well. There are spiritual awakenings taking place and the heart is the entry point. Resources are arriving. Are you letting them in? Can you receive their messages? Mid morning, Moon moves to Pushya nakshatra, a Laghu star that is light, graceful and filled with ease. Cancer brings stability and support to the emotional body and Pushya provokes this balance. This star relies on the breath as a resource for increased harmony. Inhale, open and expand. Exhale, release and let go. Together, this dynamic stabilizes the forces of life and death- present in each breath we take. Full Moon is at 17:45 PST, while Moon is in its own sign, Cancer, and in Pushya nakshatra. A rare and nourishing full Moon, these high tides will activate inner and outer harmony, which will flow through the waning cycle. Pushya is called the "nourishing star", symbolized by the udder of a cow. Just as a baby calf is given what it needs to grow and thrive through its mother's milk, this star allows needs to be met, nourishment to be received and comforts to arrive. Ruling deity is Brihaspati, a personification of Jupiter, who grants pure knowledge, wisdom and dharmic support. Ritual, ancient lineage and truthful thoughts, words and actions must be cultivated. Sacred, spiritual knowledge, dharmic work and a strong inner knowing are granted under this nakshatra. Use this full Moon for sacred and spiritual tasks. Purify and clean up your inner and outer temple. Cultivate sacred space and align with your inner truth. Move towards nourishment and comfort and activate this within your home and heart. Where do you feel comfort, support and nourishment in your body? What provokes and increases this feeling inside of you and within your life? Move towards this! More details about this full Moon and the waning cycle to come in my Full Moon Wisdom + Creative Ritual. Sunday, January 24th Moon in 1st tithi Pushya's nourishing support continues until Moon moves to the final nakshatra of Cancer, Ashlesha, mid morning. This is a Tiksna star which expresses itself as sharp, harsh and dreadful. It can execute tasks and make sudden decisions when necessary. Ruling deity, Sarpa, is a mischievous snake that can increase and provoke confusion, fear and negativity. He also has the power to remove these challenges, which he does through the mental body. Therapy, EFT, meditation, writing, communication and resources connected to the mind, will support this change process. Sarpa works to remove toxicity and transform it into wisdom- usually the occult or mystical variety. Consciously work to transform illusions and shadows into awareness and awakening today. Ruling planet of Ashlesha is Mercury, currently retrograde in Sagittarius. Use creative resources to transform challenge into resource. Monday, January 25th Moon in 2nd tithi Late morning Moon crosses the tricky gap (gandanta) between Cancer and Leo, from water into fire. As the Moon arrives in Leo, she lands in Magha nakshatra, Pitr's domain. The morning may be challenging and provoke discomfort on the emotional body level. Take care of your need for comfort and support by preparing in advance for choppy waters. The expression of Magha is fierce and severe- helpful for aggressive and harsh actions. Magha provokes power, increased authority, and is connected intimately to the ancestors and lineage matters. Often this star correlates to strong karmas with the father and his family line. The lower expression of this nakshatra can offer ego work, dominance and not being in right-relationship with power and masculine energy. The higher expression of this nakshatra can offer an activation of familial dharma, strong ancestral support and using one's power in ways that supports one's kingdom. What is your relationship with power today? Inner and outer? Seek resources, guidance and support to help you work with themes around father, power, lineage matters and the masculine. *All timing is given in Pacific Standard Time Zone.
