The May Full Moon arrives on the 29th at 08:19am MT while Moon is transiting Scorpio and Anuradha nakshatra. Rahu gives his gaze, providing more intensity, overwhelm and uncertainty. Move closer to the shadow and turn it into light! Sun and Mercury look at the Moon from seven houses away, offering precision, focus and determination. However, the debilitated Moon in Scorpio begs for gentleness, softness and ease. Can you find more balance with all possibilities? Are you able to chip away at the illusions and see the reality with more insight and wisdom? Your spiritual body begs you to lean in and examine it more closely. What have you been unwilling to see or look at? What shadows are keeping you in the dark? You will be asked to dig deeper, lean in and go beyond the surface in this cycle. Relationships, life force energy, vitality, money and creativity are main concerns- which will provoke new needs to be acknowledged. Let Spirit be an ally for your discoveries. Greater stability, alignment and flow is possible in the coming cycle so find the proper channels of support that are needed for this new structure to take hold. Focus on your stable foundation so the life force energy can be received more fluidly. Deepen your relationship with nourishment, food, money and wealth. What does your malnourishment tell you it needs? Where are you resisting receiving what you need? Anuradha nakshatra is ruled by Mitra, the friend, ally and resource provider. He supports connections, alliances and friendships. Saturn rules this constellation however, requesting stability, support, structure and safety. This portion of the sky demands emotional body attention and intention. Whether you want to or not, your emotional body will request focus. Undigested grief needs to be cleared in order to make space for more of what you do want and need. Where are you resisting your emotional body wisdom? Your capacity to acknowledge and honor your grief, determines your capacity to hold the joy and nourishment of this life as well. Balance shadow and light. Harmonize opposing forces. Heal duality and conflict within. Mitra will support a friendly alliance with your whole body, but first you must be willing to wade in the mud and acknowledge the depths of your suffering. No mud, no lotus. In the coming waning cycle, find a new balance point. Redefine what depth means for you. Use the storms to clear and purge. Plant your seeds and find your ground. Unify and strengthen your inner strength. Let Spirit be a guiding force for your higher purpose. Clear away the rubble and clarify your path and purpose. Creative Ritual Resisting your grief leaves a lasting impact on your health and well being. Avoiding your "Grief Work" is often the missing link in your healing process. I see this again and again with my clients! Not sure if you're avoiding your grief, losses, pain and undigested emotions? Here Are 8 Signs that indicate you're likely Resisting or Avoiding Your Grief Work and Emotions. 1) Scan the body and notice what you feel. Imagine you could find where your grief is living in your body. Where does it land? How does it feel? What do you notice? 2) Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of your grief. What does your grief feel like for you? Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow about 20 minutes for this grief image. Title your image. If your image could speak to you, what would it say? 3) Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your grief image with an intention of "moving with your feelings of grief". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process. 3) Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions: I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine. What does your grief tell you it needs? How can you honor this need? I have two Prashna Tarot sessions available for this week! Clarify questions, desires and path with the impeccable accuracy of this ancient energetic system of oracle. The April full Moon arrives on the 28th at 18:58 MT while Moon transits sidereal Libra and Swati nakshatra. Moon is conjunct retrograde Jupiter and receives gaze from exalted Sun. This expansive full Moon invites movement towards balance and integration in the coming weeks. Seek support, stability and integration within the body and relationships. Take steps towards goals, desires and dharmic action. What direction are you going? Be intentional with your actions and choices. Align with purpose and your dharmic path. Spend time honoring relationships and shine the light on your support systems. What do you need in order to feel more balanced, integrated and whole? Who or what is feeling really supportive right now? What is missing and needs to shift? Swati nakshatra is ruled by the wind god, Vayu. He brings movement, strength and momentum. Whether small shifts, or big immense changes, Vayu inevitably offers something different. Where are you directing these winds of change in your life? What direction are your sails taking you in? Are you being conscious about your path or just going wherever the wind takes you? Vayu is also connected to Prana, the life force energy and inner winds. If you do not direct the Prana within, your energy will be wasted unnecessarily. Honor your inner Vayu and direct this life force energy through yoga, movement, pranayama, proper diet and meditation. Balance rest and activity and don't deplete yourself. As a Rudra, Vayu offers immense strength and power. He is one of the eight Vasu Devas, or sources of illumination. Often Vayu will not support grounding, landing or stability as his nature is to move frequently and be like the air- always moving. Staying grounded under the influence of Vayu is a challenge and requires diligence and intention. Honor your emotions and don't neglect your feelings as Vayu can cool off the emotional body excessively. Your inner winds may be Vata aggravating in the cycle ahead. Land in the body and attend to your emotional body consistently. In the cycle ahead, expand your reach and broaden your dreams and desires. Take bold action steps and reach out to new people. New actions and choices, will yield new and different results. Relationships become vital resources in the coming days. Let them teach you more about yourself and your needs. Get clear on what feels supportive, solid and safe. Expand what you believe is possible for yourself and your life. Where are you staying grounded, when you should be moving? Where are you moving, when you should be staying grounded? Seek balance, integration, the middle way. Identify where you are lost in binaries, polarities and right and wrong. Is there another way to see this situation? Is there another possible option beyond black and white mentality? Crack open your belief systems and ideologies. Expand your options. Seek help, resources and guidance for the journey and don't limit yourself. Love yourself and allow yourself to receive love and support from others. Rahu has entered the sattvic and nourishing constellation of Pushya nakshatra (mean node calculations). He will be here until December of this year. Rahu amplifies and intensifies whatever he comes into contact with. Emotions have been bigger and more volatile since he entered Moon's sign of Cancer many months ago. The shift out of Ashlesha and into Pushya will bring a softening and nourishing quality that has been missing in the emotional body. Pushya is a Laghu constellation, meaning light, graceful, easy and quick. This is a powerful contrast with the past many months of Ashlesha which is a Tikshna constellation- sharp and dreadful- especially impacting the mind. Pushya nakshatra is ruled by the planet Saturn which expresses the need for contraction, structure and honoring your grief. Brihaspati is the ruling deity- a personification of the planet Jupiter. Jupiter brings expansion, benevolence, the wisdom and nourishment of a sattvic Guru. Thus, Pushya expresses the balance and integration that arrives when we honor both expansion and contraction. This is the wisdom of the emotional body, the journey of life and grief, the breath, cycles and rhythms of the Moon and nature. In the coming months, honoring the emotional body is key. Clarify and release toxic, adharmic mental/emotional body stories, beliefs and choices. Seek balance, harmony, ease and gentleness. Honor lightness and simplicity. Not through bypassing the shadow, but in honoring the duality of life- both shadow and light. Honor your gurus, seek nourishing wisdom, guidance and support. Move towards grace, ease and simplicity. Rahu in Pushya can support nourishing expansion- if the contraction and release qualities are also honored and acknowledged. What needs to be closed, released and let go of, in order to make space for more of what you want and need? Notice where Cancer lives in your Jyotish chart. This is the area of your life that Rahu's transit through Pushya will support you. Set your intentions and clarify your desires for the coming months. This is a powerful time to gather more resources, support and guidance and deepen your self growth. What needs are surfacing? What support do you need for your journey right now? Creative Ritual Pelvis is our creative energy center, our fertility zone. Use this body part for the focus of your body part dance and notice the connection to spine (strength, flexibility) that it offers. Note how these two co-create and are essentially interrelated. 1) Spend 10-20 minutes moving the body any way that feels good to you. As you move, notice the impulse that sparks your movement. Keep tracking sensations in your pelvis and spine as you move. What do you notice? How does it feel? 2) Create an image of the feeling that emerged in your movement exploration. How did it feel? Spend 10-20 minutes creating an image of the feeling in your pelvis and spine. Use colors, images, shapes and textures to create your image. Use any art medium that inspires you. Title your image. Then ask it to share with you. If your image could speak to you, what would it say? 3) Harvest some insights from this process. In your journal, answer these questions from the perspective of your pelvis and spine image: I am I want I need Where do I feel supported in my life? Where do I need more support in my life? Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Email me to see if I have any openings swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The second full Moon of March occurs on the 31st at 06:36 am MT while Moon transits sidereal Virgo and Hasta nakshatra. Earthy, female Virgo brings a Mercurial nature to this coming cycle. Ruling planet of Virgo is Mercury, which correlates to the mental body. Mercury is currently retrograde in his debilitation sign of Pisces, rendering him nica bangha, which gives a reversal of the debilitation. This strengthens the expression of Mercury until April 15th when he goes direct. Savitr rules the domain of Hasta, providing awakening, new light and awareness. In the coming waning cycle, the mental body is key. Honor the mind and support it with release and resources. Endings, letting go and finales are occurring. What old stories and personal mythology are you prepared to let go of? Forge a new path and awaken new possibilities. Relationships are key in this cycle. Notice how your relationships make you feel. Are you nourished and supported? Are you honored and acknowledged? Do you feel supported and resourced, or depleted and disconnected? Grief and trauma may be activated through the emotional body. What stories and experiences are returning for you to reevaluate, acknowledge, clear and release? Be mindful of communication with the masculine and authority in the coming days. There may be anger, uncertainty, confusion and old stories returning. What needs to be reevaluated? What clean up needs to take place? Finances and relationships are going through a purification and rejuvenation process. There is a tight conjunction of Mars and Saturn happening right now in Sagittarius. These opposing planets move into exact conjunction in the coming days, until Mars passes over Saturn and moves to the other side of him early next week. Mars is action oriented and acts very young and aggressive. Saturn is very slow and requires patience and stability. Mars is go, Saturn is stop. This conjunction causes frustration and stops and starts. There may be anger or aggression, or in inability to be decisive- depending on how these planets impact you natally. You may also be making poor choices rooted in fear. Be mindful of how your fear (conscious or unconscious) might be impacting your choices. This combination can increase challenges with fear and an inability to make choices that align with dharma, right action. Is there resistance showing up? Look to see where Sagittarius is in your Jyotish chart. What house is effected by this frustration and fear? Themes arriving have to do with dharma, right action, purpose, clarifying goals and moving towards them, spiritual beliefs and needs, teachers, thighs, life path, aim and direction. The waning cycle may bring fear, frustrations and challenges with your gifts and offerings. These emotions are asking you to pay attention, lean in and honor your needs and feelings. Clarify your dharmic path, your purpose and your gifts. Purify and organize your actions and be diligent with your choices. Get focused! Savitr brings the light in the coming days! He is the god of dawn, new light and awakening. He supports your inner awakening and brilliance. Increase your light, your wisdom and your inner Sun. The light is getting brighter. Flip the switch! Use resources to support your awakening. Clean up your diet, your gut intelligence and awaken the gifts in your hands. Heal and be healed. Ask for support and guidance in order for increased awareness and wisdom. Recite the Gayatri mantra to support the awakening of Savitr within. What is dawning within you and your life right now? How are you supporting the light within? How are you resisting it? To connect with Savitr, to awaken the magic in the hands, to bring forth the dawning and consciousness expansion, recite Gayatri Mantra. Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ tát savitúr váreṇ(i)yaṃ bhárgo devásya dhīmahi dhíyo yó naḥ pracodáyāt Creative RitualThe hands allow us to create, to put into action our imagination and ideas. Arms and hands reach, hold, grab, punch, push and give us a way to build and destroy, hold on or let go. We express our desire to give and take, take in and release with this body part. They are extensions of our emotions and can help us communicate feelings. The hands correlate to the third house of the jyotish chart. "We often enact our feelings of love, caring and tenderness with our arms and hands. We most often use our arms and hands to connect with others. Arms and hands are the most socially accepted way to make contact in most cultures. Arms and hands reach out to express longing and desire." - Daria Halprin, The Expressive Body in Life, Art and Therapy 1) Movement Exploration. Begin your dance with your fingertips. Enter the body through the tips of your fingers. Bring movement into the fingers, into the palms, wrists, elbows and shoulders. Notice the articulations, undulations, opens and closes of these body parts. Extend and reach. Fold and contract. Make a fist, then open this tightness and feel the contrast. See if your breath can mirror the open and close of the hands. Track sensations arriving in the hands. Continue your exploration until your dance feels complete. As you pause. Notice if any words or phrases are emerging. Repeat this phrase allowed three times. 2) Create an Image: Come to your drawing pad. Outline your hands. Make a hand collage of multiple outlines or even just one hand print. When your hand collage feels complete, answer these questions: I am, I want, I need What are you holding? What are you releasing? What are you grabbing? What are you pushing? What are you punching? What are you poking and prodding? Did you miss my special Navaratri Abundance class? Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The March Full Moon arrives on the first day of March at 17:51, coinciding with the Vedic fertility festival of Holi, enlivening vitality, life force energy and creativity. This Full Moon is in sidereal Leo and Purvaphalguni nakshatra- which powerfully correlates to sexuality, sensuality, relationships and creative life force energy. This portion of the sky expresses the essence of spring- fragrant flowers blossoming, bees buzzing and the sap beginning to flow. Purvaphalguni nakshatra is ruled by Bhaga, the deity of enjoyment and pleasure. He supports sensuality and feeling through relating. His role is to spark relationships, connection and co-creation. He especially supports sensuality and sexuality. However, he is not what sustains or supports long term relationship success. He represents the fun, exciting beginning, not the hard work and time it takes to make a relationship last. What new seeds are sprouting right now? What relationships do you need for greater support and nourishment? This Full Moon also marks the Holi celebration in the Vedic calendar, which often roughly coincides with the vernal equinox and the arrival of spring (for the Northern Hemisphere). The equinox arrives on March 20th this year. Holi is a Vedic fertility celebration, sparking immense life force energy, potential and creative power to enliven. Step into your Divine Feminine power! No matter the hemisphere you are in, both spring and fall are considered "sandhi" times of year- or in between seasons. These are sacred times, when the veil is thin, sensitivity is heightened, and in Ayurveda we attend to necessary physical rituals that help the body cleanse and purify. Holi comes at this sacred junction and is a time to "plant seeds" so to speak. It is a celebration of fertility, abundance and the awakening of Shakti within Nature. This full enlivening of Ma, the Divine Mother, is celebrated during Vasant Navaratri- the nine days of Mother Divine beginning March 17th this year. We can consider this her "kick off" celebration as we plant our desires and create our fruits. Let this Full Moon bring you a sense of spring and possibility, hope and awakening. In the coming cycle, expand your emotional body container. Your ability to feel all your feelings- hard or soft- allows you to create room for your deepest desires and nourishment. Without honoring the shadow, the light cannot arrive. Relationships take your focus and attention. A flood of new connections is arriving. Who are you inviting into your sacred space? Who and what needs to be released, cleared and let go of? Clear undigested grief from your gut, your solar plexus and your power center. Eat clean, simple foods and avoid excess- sweets, intoxicants, alcohol, sex and spending. Release overindulgence and seek balance, integration and stability. This will make room for increased energy, strength and vitality. Put focused attention on restoration and rejuvenation, as well as healing practices. Release shadow, darkness and limiting beliefs to clear the path for your dharmic clarity and unfolding. Strengthen your health, vitality and endurance. What action steps, choices and behaviors need an upgrade in order for you to have more power, strength and clarity in your body mind? An opening is taking place. Take conscious steps towards new doors of nourishment. Creative RitualMy Creative Rituals are intended to support your transformation and healing process in the cycle to come. Each ritual is in alignment with the cosmic tides- in order to help you adjust, shift and move more fluidly in balance with Nature's rhythms. Recycle this ritual more than once for added benefits. Similar to exalted planets in that they are "full" and can't be "added to", a Full Moon (or Purnima) means that it is full to capacity, there's no more room for it to expand and grow; it is complete. In this way, we can interpret the Full Moon as a "New Moon" in that it marks the beginning of a new cycle of emptying itself and refilling itself (mirroring our internal process). Beginning a lunar month at the Purnima is called Suklanta and differs from starting the count from the New Moon (Amavasya) which is the point when the Moon is empty and is waiting to be filled by the Sun. Purnima is in the middle of the Lakshmi phase of the Moon cycle whereas Amavasya is the moment during the cycle where Kali and Durga meet. Clearly, the energy is quite different; mirrored in our internal experience as well. These different methods of starting the lunar calendar remind me of the saying "is your glass half empty or half full?!" When do we start our "New Moon" calendar and begin our new lunar month? When we are full and satisfied or when we are empty and needing to be nourished? It is with this question in mind that I came up with this week's Creative Engagement Activity. Read more about the importance of the Moon. Often for a New Moon or a Full Moon, I like to work with the image of a mandala. Mandalas help us to create and express fullness, to fill empty space, to work with what is. Mandalas are a container, filled, with our visions, creativity and desire- much like a metaphor for life. 1) With this idea of "creating within a container" as well as half the image of full/empty, I invite you to draw two large circle shapes on a piece of paper. Cover up one of the circles with a sheet of paper while you create within the other. 2) The theme for this first circle is "being filled". Fill in the first circle with what you desire for the cycle to come. What do you want to be filled with? 3) When you feel complete with the first circle, look at both circles on your paper. One is "full" and one is "empty". What thoughts come to you? What feelings? Then answer these statements under your first circle: I am, I want, I need 4) Next, begin working on the second circle. The theme for this circle is "being emptied". What are you releasing and letting go of as you move into the cycle to come? 5) When you feel complete, write a few notes down. What do you notice as you look at the entire piece? What thoughts come to you? What feelings? Then answer these statements under your first circle: I am, I want, I need 6) Finally, harvest your thoughts on this process. Circle ten words that leap out at you from the writing you've done. Form these words into a three to five line poem. (Adding extra words is ok). Share your poem below! * Extra credit for dancing (embodying) your images and poem at some point this week. Coinciding with this full Moon is a total Lunar Eclipse, opening a two week gap that is particularly vulnerable for heart matters. This eclipse portal begins with the full Moon on January 31st and ends with the new Moon and a partial solar eclipse on February 15th. Eclipses are notorious for forcing us to address our shadow parts and inner illusions. Sarpa, the serpent who rules the constellation of Ashlesha, exemplifies this. He is responsible for provoking uncertainty, inner questioning and self doubt, however if we are willing to lean closer to these parts of our personal mythology, we have the chance for great awakening and transformation as well. The intersection between mental and emotional bodies is awakened. We must look at the dynamics between our thoughts and feelings at this time. How do these two bodies influence each other? How do they influence you? Sarpa energy is associated with occult and mystical knowledge, rather than more traditional surface or sattvic wisdom. He supports a deep dive into the transcendental realms, provoking immense transformation and change. The dark side of this energy can get you lost on a path of darkness and deception, following false wisdom and those with poor or harmful intentions. An important reminder for Ashlesha nakshatra is to align with knowledge that comes from ancient sources and sattvic resources. Ashlesha nakshatra encourages awakening, however it is not through traditional means. This constellation supports Kundalini rising and transcendence through unusual means. The dark side of this nakshatra can cause adharma, getting lost on one's path through intoxicants, shadowed knowledge, the dark arts and deception. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. In this cycle, and throughout the Eclipse Portal, align more closely with your heart wisdom and deepen your connection with your emotional body. Pay attention to your shadow work and don't spiritual by-pass. Positivity must be integrated with negativity, light and dark must intersect. Don't push away your shadow, lean closer to it. Your spiritual ego might keep you from seeing the shadow clearly. Move closer to your fears, doubts and uncertainties. Allow your trauma to inform your deepest needs for support and nourishment. Your emotional body has a lot of wisdom to share with you. Without honoring its wisdom, you will miss the crucial resources you need for deeper nourishment. Don't by-pass your grief and big emotions. Use them to support your awakening. What do your emotions tell you about your core needs? During this full Moon, Venus collides with Ketu and combusts Sun. Mercury conjuncts these three planets, causing a certain fragility with the mental, physical and spiritual bodies. The emotional body is impacted by this intensity, however the physical body is particularly vulnerable in the coming cycle. Life force is easily drained and burned up. Guard your health and vitality. Don't push too hard or over work. Slow, steady and gentle steps are best. Take ample pauses and extra rest. There is something important bubbling up from your depths that will support your dharmic path, but you will miss the messages if you are moving too fast. The pressure you are feeling needs to be released. Find ways to lessen the stress and get to the root of your limiting beliefs. Why are you pushing yourself so hard? Unpack your scarcity story. What is the story that keeps you playing small? Relationships are particularly vulnerable in this cycle. Watch out for illusion and deception showing up in your relationships. You may feel unsupported and misaligned with others. You may feel emotionally drained and challenged. Pay attention to these emotions and let them guide you towards a deeper understanding of what you need. What boundaries do you need to clarify? What relationships need to be released and set free? Who and what do you need in your life in order to feel more supported and well resourced? Cut away and release what is not able to hold you and honor your depths. Ask for and gather supportive resources and guidance. Build new relationships and alliances that honor your wholeness, not your separate parts. This full Moon coincides with a full lunar eclipse- the first of 2018. The eclipse begins January 31st at 03:51am MT and will end at 09:08 am MT. The maximum eclipse is at 06:29 am MT. The eclipse is visible in North/East Europe, Asia, Australia, North/East Africa, North America, North/West South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, Antarctica. From a Vedic perspective, it is not advised to be outside during an eclipse or to look directly at the eclipse. Wear a head covering if you have to be outside so you don't absorb the shadow. Ideally, this is a time for spiritual practices such as meditation, chanting and fasting. Set intentions and honor the sensitivity of this time. The coming two week eclipse portal will intensify the shadow and your personal mythology around the emotional body, relationships, dharma, integrity, guidance, support, spiritual knowledge, occult and mystical wisdom, shadow work and transformation. Seek resources and guidance that are trustworthy, traditional and in right-relationship with the shadow. Pay close attention to the needs surfacing at this time. These needs will continue to provoke your actions and choices in the months to come. Be gentle with yourself and honor your emotions, heart and home. Creative RitualThis Creative Ritual will also help you work directly with your challenges- emotion or otherwise. Take your challenge into your creative process and see what develops! Step #1 Movement Exploration. What emotion are you feeling? Is it anger, depression, frustration, chaos, uncertainty? Start dancing this emotion. What does it feel like in your body? Do the "dance of anger" for example. What emerges as you do your anger dance?! Remember to let sounds out! Move and develop your dance for at least minutes. When you feel a sense of closure, ask yourself these questions: I sense, I feel, I imagine. Step #2 Create an image of your emotion. What does it feel like? Put it on paper using colors, textures and shapes. Create an image that expresses your experience with this emotion and whatever emerged in your dance. Spend at least 5 to 20 minutes creating this image. I suggest using paints or craypas and a large piece of paper. Title your image. In your journal or on the back of the drawing answer this question: If your image could speak what would it say? Step #3 Harvesting. Answer these baseline statements and questions in your journal once you have completed the previous steps. I am___ I want___ I need___ What am I opening to? What am I closing to? Recycle this process whenever strong emotions emerge. Remember they arrive to give you important messages. Listen carefully and honor them with deeper listening. What is the emotions telling you? What do you need for deeper nourishment in your life? I call myself the Dharma Midwife. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever! Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The January Gemini full Moon arrives with a roar at 19:24 MT on the first day of the year. 2018 begins with a powerful burst of energy and the intensity of the storm god, Rudra. The waning cycle ahead is equally intense so be mindful of your need to ground and land- even while this storm energy is moving through. It will be especially important to be diligent with the mental body in the days ahead, as it will be strong and ready for action. Can you tame the mind, rather than let it run away with you? Time in nature and in meditation will serve you well as the Moon begins to release in the days ahead. Even with the intensity and power of this cycle, retreat, alone time and silence are more essential than ever. Resist the urge to force your steps and push for outcomes. Moon is in Ardra nakshatra at the time of the Full Moon. Rudra, the storm god, rules this portion of the sky. His energy is sharp and action oriented. There is drive, force and even aggression with this constellation. Expect big bursts of emotion and energy, while tempering extremes and imbalance. How can you channel this energy with intention and insight? The symbol of this nakshatra is a tear drop, inviting grief, sadness and the wisdom of loss to burst from the emotional body. However, this portion of the sky is more prone to anger than touching the sadness that lies underneath. Expect emotional upheaval and plan for grounding, gentleness and safe containers to hold you. Can you touch the anger within? What lies underneath your anger? What needs are surfacing. Find healthy ways to release your emotions in the days ahead. What supports your emotional body movement? What resources allow you to ground, land and connect within? Use this waning cycle to cut and release ties that are unhealthy and under nourishing- especially relationships. There may be anger at others, or others may be aggressive towards you. Use clear boundaries and honor your needs. Focus on your inner needs and cultivate practices of presence and connection with self and others. The pelvis and lower body may feel unstable in the days ahead. Stay rooted in your sacral chakra and heart. It's time to heal and be healed. Release conflicts and inner battles. What is keeping you disconnected? Deepen your inner power and purpose. Land in your heart and root into the earth. Use the power available at this time to move into bold new territory in all areas of your life. Let this cycle help you deepen your inner power and purpose. Take empowered action steps. Be bold, courageous and visible. This will require that you lean into your shadow and personal mythology- especially on the mental body level. Where are you deceiving yourself? Playing small and disempowering yourself? It's time to step up and step in. The coming days will require you to look at your darkness, shadow and illusions more closely. Use this to help you transform, change, heal and grow. The immense power available in this cycle ushers in an exciting and remarkable year ahead. This is not the time to play small. Put power behind your desires and ask for more. The only thing standing in your way, is you! Horoscopes for 2018 are coming! Creative RitualCreate A Life of Thriving With These Five Steps: Step #1 Write a list of all the things you are grateful for. List the people, experiences and parts of your life that truly make you feel glad to be alive. Are you grateful for your health? Your children? Your garden? Your amazing clients? Put it on the list! Step #2 As you look at your gratitude list, pause and be still. Where do you feel the sensation of gratitude in your body? Can you feel it rising up from your belly or spreading across your chest? Try to locate the sensation and clearly identify it. Use this physical body feeling as a tuning fork. Keep coming back to this sensation as a way to touch in with the feeling of thriving and nourishment. More of that please! This is what you want to create more of in your life! Step #3 Create an image of this feeling of gratitude and the sensation of nourishment it brings into your body. Use craypas, paints, collage, pen and ink or any other medium that inspires you. Use colors, textures and shapes to create your image. Take 20+ minutes to create your image then give it a title. Step #4 Move your image. Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your nourishment image with an intention of "moving with your feelings of nourishment". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. Step #5 Harvest in your journal some of your key findings from this process. Answer these statements: I sense___ I feel____ I imagine____ Bonus Step: Pick a few people to share your gratitude with. The best way to amplify this feeling is to share it with others! Use post it notes for a quick thank you or get more elaborate and write out a love note to someone special. Write a sweet message of gratitude to your child or give your neighbor a friendly mailbox surprise. JOIN ME and the Moon Tribe for 7 Days of Gratitude. Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Just as December begins, the Full Moon arrives on the 3rd at 08:47 am Mountain time. Moon is transiting its mulitrikona degrees in Taurus and the creative star, Rohini at the time of fullness. Taurus supports the Moon with grounding, creativity and themes of nourishment. Rohini is extremely creative and brings desires into manifest form. The coming waning cycle requires deep release and uprooting in order to make space for the new. What are you wanting in your life that has not yet arrived? What space do you need to create in order to make room for the newness? Both Ketu and Mars give their gaze to the tender and sensitive Moon- which represents the Emotional Body. Expect sudden emotional release in the coming weeks- especially anger, rage and passion. The Moon will be extra fragile and sensitive to trauma. The emotional body is thawing out, releasing past trauma and numbness. Pay attention to your emotional sensitivity. Use clear boundaries, express your needs, release emotions carefully and don't let your feelings get bottled up. This cycle brings a powerful uprooting in the psycho-emotional body that also impacts the physical body directly. Grief is being released in a variety of ways and through a variety of emotions. It needs to be released from the body so support this process. Remember that this release is creating space for the new. You must make room for the nourishment that you seek. Where are you stuck, frozen or numbing your emotional body? Where are you feeling disconnected from your body and its wisdom? Support the release of emotions through art, music, song, dance and writing. Of the holy trinity of gods in the Vedas, Lord Brahma is the Creator. Because of him, visions, dreams and desires become manifest form. Lord Brahma (and his wife goddess Saraswati by default) are the ruling energies of Rohini nakshatra. Lord Brahma created the universe and it sprung forth from his naval. Thus Rohini is immensely creative and skilled at manifesting. Goddess Saraswati rules over the arts, wisdom, music and technology and brings her influence to this nakshatra as well. This constellation supports desires coming into fruition, as well as increases resources and creativity. Clarify your desires and take action steps to bring them into fruition. Use the coming weeks to create. Set big goals for the months ahead. Start moving towards your desires now. Use the arts to inspire creativity and life force energy. Move towards nourishment and identify where you are resisting your needs for more money, vitality, life force energy, passion and purpose. Are you moving closer to your goals and desires, or further away from them? Are you aligning with your inner wisdom or choosing adharma- going against your dharmic path and purpose? BONUS: Step into your powerful feminine wisdom with this! I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever! Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Do you feel like you have even more to give, to offer, to share, to say in this world? Do you feel like you have a powerful purpose- but you're not sure yet what that looks like? Knowing your dharma, your life purpose, is the most important reason for being born according to the Vedic Tradition. Sadly, very few people in this world ever completely align with their dharmic path- the souls purpose. Dharma is a tricky thing. It requires your willingness to change and grow and heal. It requires your ability to move beyond blockages and resistance and the parts of yourself that you are avoiding. Dharma requires that you step into your power. Think about what power means to you. Do you have a positive relationship with power? Or a negative relationship? How might your life change if you had more power? Everyone who arrives at my door wants life path clarity. They want to know their dharma, their life purpose. Yet the steps that have to be taken in order to clarify your dharma, requires a willingness to step into your power. If you are afraid of power- especially your own power, it won't feel safe to step into your dharmic path! Your fear will show up and it will stop you from taking action. Your fear might show up in a number of ways. Here are the top forms of fear (or resistance) that I hear from people: - I don't have the money for support and resources. - I don't have the time to devote to this process. - I have too much going on in my life to commit right now. All of these fears are forms of resistance. Resistance to stepping into your power in bigger ways. Take a moment to notice where you might be saying "no" to stepping into more power, and a bigger purpose. Why might you feel more comfortable staying small, struggling, frustrated and unclear?! How much is this resistance to your power costing you? What is the cost? On the level of happiness, life force energy, vitality, wealth, nourishment and even spiritually? There is a cost to refusing your power. Lean closer to your relationship with power. Notice how your personal mythology around power might be impacting your choices and your action steps. Patriarchy and misogyny impacts all of us- whether we are conscious of it or not. The systemic dis-empowerment of the Feminine leaves scars on both men and women. The trauma of not trusting your inner wisdom and your emotional body will keep you stuck in disempowerment, fear and lack. This fear of power can impact your dharmic path on multiple levels. The main impact I see is the financial toll it takes on women. Women who don't have the financial resources to get the dharmic support they need. Here's how to tell if you are being impacted by power issues: - Dreams that have been put on hold for families, children or others. - Desires and dreams that never come to fruition because of giving to others. - Over-giving at the cost of your body, your own needs, feelings and passions. - Relying on a partner to make financial decisions or support you financially. - Feeling powerless to change your story and giving up on your path, purpose and desires. - Always making choices that are "right" instead of honoring your needs and feelings. - Feeling stuck in the "good girl" complex and afraid of disappointing others. - Sabotaging success, resisting action steps and change. - Avoiding empowered actions and choices. - Resisting support, resources and guidance. Financial challenges disproportionally impact a woman's ability to step into her dharma, her truth, her power and purpose. Financial challenges keep women stuck- unable to move forward, to get the support they need or even honor the passion and purpose that is her birth right. Most women will live their entire life suppressing, avoiding, negating their needs because it's too painful to be honest about the passions and desires living inside of them. What dreams and desires have you put on hold for others? How much have finances played a role in these decisions? Where are you saying no to your dreams and desires? Listen to my podcast below to clarify your money/power paradigm. Identify where you are stuck and how to change this old programing. Use this podcast if.... - You struggle to speak your truth and share your wisdom in this world. - You have challenges with money. - You don't feel supported or nourished in your relationships. - You lack self trust and a connection with your inner wisdom. - You play small when you know you have much more to offer! Bring your journal and a pen. Expect to confront shadows and turn them into power, clarity and strength! I help sensitive women become the leaders of their lives. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls (like you) clarify your inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with your powerful purpose and innate leadership skills. We need you now more than ever! Every week I offer two free Dharma Coaching sessions to sensitive, gifted women who are ready for life change. Is this you? Email me to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The November Full Moon arrives Friday the 3rd at 23:22 Mountain Time. Moon transits Aries and Bharani nakshatra, ushering in new beginnings, transformation and release. Mars, Jupiter, debilitated Sun and Venus (now in its own sign) all give their gaze to the Moon. Seek balance, integration and harmony in the weeks ahead. A reminder to not push or force outcomes as it is easy to burn up your life force quickly right now. Less is more. Fortunately Venus and Sun won’t get too close to each other during this transit, but extra self care is important right now anyway. Saturn has newly entered Sagittarius and is in a vulnerable gap right now within Mula nakshatra. Structure and support need your attention as old support systems are deconstructed. Bharani nakshatra is symbolic of death, dying and transformation, as Yama is the ruling deity here. He requests restraint and simplicity, rather than indulgence and extravagance. Yama determines your direction after death and which realm you will end up in. He weighs and measures your karmas in order to make his decision. In this way he is often called Dharmaraja as he determines your dharmic path in the next life time. This is a Ugra constellation, which means it is fierce and severe, promoting harsh or aggressive acts. The Yoni is Bharani's symbol, expressing the harshness of birth and the death process that arrives when we step into the new. Life and death are intimately intertwined and Bharani nakshatra reminds us of this. The vagina is a powerful creative force and is connected to the strength of the Divine Feminine, as well as all women. The birthing process is an act of transformation, release, death and new beginnings. What are you birthing in your life? What are you releasing? In the coming cycle, move towards the nourishment of life and ask for resources and support, guidance and wisdom to help strengthen your inner resolve. Seek balance with inner and outer, silence and dynamism, action and rest. Move closer to your truth and inner wisdom. Lean into your emotional body and let it help you find balance. Navigate deception and illusion by staying connected to your body and its strength. Birth new offerings and share your creative life force energy with others in meaningful ways. What resources do you use for returning home- to stability, self-trust, safety and security? How do you get back home- to your sacred center? Notice what is alive and providing support for you right now, what is feeling nourishing and supportive, and what are the resources you have been relying on for greater nourishment. The intention of this creative ritual is to spark something within. To solidify your resources and ground you in the sensation of greater self trust. Part I. Coming Home Embodiment Dance. 1. Start your "Coming Home" embodiment dance from standing or lying down. Begin by bringing presence to a body part within you that feels like a resource. Is there a part of your body that provides you with a sense of stability, comfort and nourishment? Can you sense this feeling in your body somewhere? Let this be your primary body part resource for your dance. Then begin to move from this body part. Let it activate and inspire your Coming Home dance. 2. As you continue to move with your primary body part, note how the rest of your body responds. How does it connect to the rest of your body? How does it respond and move with the rest of your body? How does the rest of your body respond to it? Let your dance develop as the rest of your body moves with your primary body part resource. Return to the body part in the close of your dance and note the sensations present by doing a 3 level check in. Take at minimum 10 minutes for this portion of the Creative Ritual. Read more and complete part 2 of this Creative Ritual- the Harvesting portion I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!
Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Full Moon in Pisces and Revati nakshatra on October 5th at 12:39pm Mountain Time. Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac and Revati is the last constellation as well. Cultivating a relationship with endings and closure is important throughout the waning cycle. Pisces reminds us of death and letting go, as well as the 12th house. Matters of the 12th house connect with spirit and the ancestors, as well as the death realms and the feet. Alone time, retreats, meditation and seclusion are supported as well as themes that correlate to marriage and the bed. Release, endings, closure and finality are arriving. Make space for the new by intentionally letting go of what is no longer serving you. What doors are your closing? What must be let go in order to create space for the new? Revati nakshatra is ruled by the deity Pushan as well as the planet Mercury. Pushan provides nourishment and support for your travels. He helps one prosper and increase- in order to flourish and thrive. As an Aditya, he brings resources on the material plane of existence. Pushan is also a protector of the path and provides support for journeys and travels both earthly and astral. He prefers food that is easily digestible. Attend to release, letting go and closures. Big waves of emotion roll through in the coming weeks as you touch the past. Are you honoring these feelings and supporting the release process?! Make space for the new by clearing and cleaning away the excess, the old, the people and things that are not nourishing you. Simplify. Call in greater nourishment at this time. Let go of the past and the pain and hard ships that you've been clinging to. Make room for simple pleasures, deeper nourishment and comfort. Dream bigger! Expand what you think is possible for yourself. Clear away the old mental/emotional body programming that keeps you in lack, playing small and repeating old sabotage behaviors. What stories keep you in disbelief of your own power and magnificence? Creative Ritual * Create a list of self care activities that nourish and support your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. * Use the four level check in regularly as well as EFT for identifying and moving emotions. 1) Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of your nourishment. What does nourishment feel like for you? Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow 20 minutes at minimum for this nourishment image. Title your image. 2) Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your nourishment image with an intention of "moving with your feelings of nourishment". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process. 3) Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions: I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine. What deeply nourishes me? What no longer nourishes me? Where do I feel support in my life? Where do I need more support? What am I opening to? What am I closing to?
