Moon moves into the 15th and final phase of the waxing cycle on Saturday, January 23rd. Arriving into Purnima (fullness), she also moves into her own sign of Cancer. Sun gives his direct gaze and Ketu gives his drishti as well. There are spiritual awakenings taking place and the heart is the entry point. Resources are arriving. Are you letting them in? Can you receive their messages? Full Moon is at 17:45 PST, while Moon is in its own sign, Cancer, and in Pushya nakshatra. Pushya nakshatra, is a Laghu star that is light, graceful and filled with ease. Cancer brings stability and support to the emotional body and Pushya provokes this balance. A rare and nourishing full Moon, these high tides will activate inner and outer harmony, which will flow through the waning cycle. Pushya is called the "nourishing star", symbolized by the udder of a cow. Just as a baby calf is given what it needs to grow and thrive through its mother's milk, this star allows needs to be met, nourishment to be received, and comforts to arrive. Ruling deity is Brihaspati, a personification of Jupiter, who grants pure knowledge, wisdom and dharmic support. Ritual, ancient lineage and truthful thoughts, words and actions must be cultivated. Sacred, spiritual knowledge, dharmic work and a strong inner knowing are granted under this nakshatra. Although Brihaspati and his expansive energy rules this star, Saturn as planetary ruler contradicts the increases offered. Brihaspati (Jupiter) is your inhale, while Saturn's energy brings the exhale. This dynamic exemplifies balance and stability. Pushya is connected to the breath, which is an expression of balancing opposing forces. Inhale, open and expand. Exhale, release and let go. Together, this dynamic stabilizes the forces of life and death- present in each breath we take. What are you inviting in? What are you releasing and letting go? This full Moon and the waning cycle ahead are a time to work diligently with transformational energies- especially those that support mental and emotional body healing. Track your challenges, shadow energies and dark matter- the parts that are holding you back, keeping you stuck and out of alignment with your inner truth. As you bring this darkness to the surface, allow it to change, move and release. This can be supported through modalities such as energy work, EFT, therapy, meditation, creative resources and movement. Track your progress by keeping a journal. Your heart center and emotional body will be striving for balance and integration at this time. How do you support this process? With force or with gentleness? With ferocity or grace? Remember that challenges are opportunities for change. Anger, frustration and heart fire are reminders to listen carefully to your inner passion. You are being called to make changes and take action in different ways. Can you change direction if necessary? Rahu and Ketu move to Leo and Aquarius during this waning cycle. As they move into their positions for the next year and a half on the 29th of January, there will be an adjustment phase. Rahu runs right into retrograde Jupiter in the process of this transit. It's a time for the god to meet the demon, the light to meet the darkness. These forces are at play within each one of us. What is your relationship with your darkness? With your light? This will be an opportunity to get more intimate with your mode of operation. Wherever you've been neglecting your darkness, spiritually by-passing or avoiding it unconsciously, it will show up to test you and your power. Gather extra support and resources for this time and make sure you have yagyas scheduled for planetary support as well. Let chaos and calamity come in as a cleaning force. Notice your reaction and response to this energy. Do you step in, step out, gain consciousness or unconsciousness? Use your creative powers to shift and transform the intensity into a healing balm. Can you allow in more ease? Do you accept and receive support and resources to help? Where are you saying yes? Where are you saying no? Use this full Moon for sacred and spiritual tasks. Purify and clean up your inner and outer temple. Cultivate sacred space and align with your inner truth. Move towards nourishment and comfort and activate this within your home and heart. Where do you feel comfort, support and nourishment in your body? What provokes and increases this feeling inside of you and within your life? Move towards this! Creative Ritual My Creative Rituals are intended to support your transformation and healing process in the cycle to come. Each ritual is in alignment with the cosmic tides- in order to help you adjust, shift and move more fluidly in balance with Nature's rhythms. Recycle this ritual more than once for added benefits. 1) Sit, stand or lay down. Close your eyes and fall into the rhythm of your breath. Notice the rise and fall of your chest, the waves of breath moving in and out of your body. Take some time to relax into this rhythm. 2) Start with a four level check-in. Notice the physical body. What is arriving? What is the physical body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise. Notice the emotional body. What is arriving? What is the emotional body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise. Notice the mental body. What is arriving? What is the mental body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise. Notice the spiritual body. What is arriving? What is the spiritual body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise. This level of awareness is the most nuanced. Sometimes it's available, other times it is not. Create a space for listening nonetheless. 3) Come back to the emotional body landscape and get curious. What emotions can you identify. What is the strongest emotion you can identify? 4) Create an image of this emotion that you identified through your self tracking. Use craypas or paint and put this emotion on paper- so as to transfer the felt senses into a tangible, visual expression. This is a powerful part of the process and one that can help transform the emotional body. 5) Once your image is complete, give it a title. Now, let it speak. What does your image have to share with you? If your image could speak, what would it say? 6) Move your emotional body image. Spend 5 to 10 minutes moving in response to your image, letting your internal waters shift, change and transform as you move. Allow your body to move as though it's in a dialogue with your image, as though they are in conversation. As you bring your movement exploration to a close, find a final statement. Say it aloud three times. 7) Come to your journal and answer these questions: I am, I want, I need. I sense, I feel, I imagine. Ask your questions and share your experiences below! * All timing is in Pacific Standard Time Zone (PST). I show artists, mystics and healers, as well as highly sensitive individuals- who are struggling with their life path, dharma, healing and transforming old wounds and limiting beliefs- how to gain clarity, increased creativity, nourishment and thriving- on all levels of their life, in order to create more inner and outer success.
