Full Moon is early morning on September 6th at 1:02 am MDT. Moon transits Aquarius and Satabisha Nakshatra at this time, receiving direct gaze from Mercury, Mars and Sun. This cycle brings immense power and strength for change. How will you use your courage and readiness? Where do you direct this energy and your effort? Look at your jyotish chart and see what themes the Moon will be illuminating for you in this cycle. What house is Aquarius in your chart? What themes does this present? Satabisha is ruled by Varuna, the guardian of Natural Law. He sees everything through his thousands of eyes. He punishes those who do wrong and go against the Laws of Nature. He judges and criticizes; his job is to see everything. Varuna's intention is to keep you aligned with the wisdom of Nature, to move you closer into right relationship with the rhythms of the universe. His wisdom is immense and his awareness is powerfully all-knowing. This is a healing constellation, offering medicine and support for aligning with dharma, truth and satwa, purity. Satabisha often makes good healers because they see with great detail. When we see what is not working, we can then take necessary steps to heal, reconnect and harmonize. The shadow side of this constellation, however, brings extreme self hatred and self loathing as well as a disconnection from the very thing it yearns for- connection with inner knowing and Nature's wisdom. The critic can become intense and overwhelming, crippling self trust and inner wisdom. Watch for self criticism and judgement showing up in the waning Moon cycle. Shoulds, coulds, have tos, supposed tos may emerge on the mental body level. Emotions of depression, frustration, fear, uncertainty and confusion may arrive. What stories are surfacing in the mental/emotional bodies for you? Notice the emotions you are feeling closely. Let them rise to the surface and be conscious with them. Don't suppress, negate or resist the challenging thoughts and stories that you encounter. It's time to pull of these weeds once and for all. Tapping (EFT) is a wonderful resource for transforming mental/emotional patterns. See below for more resources and support. In the cycle to come, commit to your dharmic path and purpose more fully. Clarify and unleash your potential. What stories stop you in your tracks and keep you from moving towards more nourishment, pleasure and support? Identify your desires and needs. What stories keep you playing small and malnourished? What is keeping you from taking empowered action steps? Leading up to and during the full Moon, as well as in the waning cycle to come, it is important to be vigilant with your health, routine and Ayurvedic guidelines. Do what you know to do for health, wellness and inner resilience. Health calamities can manifest as Moon moves through Satabisha and are often challenging to cure or heal. Ayurveda offers ancient resources for staying in right relationship with the Laws of Nature. Honor the changing seasons and make necessary adjustments. Clean up schedules and routines while adding extra self care as well. Prevention is key right now. What are you confronting and noticing in your emotional body as the tides begin to slow down and recede? Creative Ritual Five Steps for Befriending the Critic: (Read the whole article here) Step #1: Before we can attend to the critic and its messages, we first need to identify it. Most people walk through life completely unaware of their inner thought processes. The mind is on auto-pilot and it never stops! I encourage you to get into a rigorous habit of using the four levels of awareness as a means of navigating your inner terrain. Doing consistent self tracking with a four level check-in is vital. What is a four level check-in? Can you identify the critic and its messages? What level of awareness does it usually come from? Step #2 In your sacred creative space, leave a chair open for your critic to "sit in". Or perhaps place a special reminder in your art space that symbolizes your critic. This is an open invitation to your critic. It is also your reminder that it may arrive, but you don't need to engage with its behaviors. Step #3 Get curious and ask it to share more with you. Create an image of your critic. Let it out of the closet, let it be seen and acknowledge its presence. What colors, shapes, textures and images arrive on the page? Use whatever art medium inspires you- craypas, markers, pens, scraps of paper etc. Give yourself 20+ minutes for this process. Step #4 Title your image. Give your critic a name. Clearly identify this part of your being. Who is it? Get curious. Then ask your image to share with you. If your image could speak, what would it say to you? Step #5: Ask your image to answer these questions: I am___ I want___ I need___ Now that you've harvested some vital information from your critic, it's time to look at your findings. What does your critic want and need? How does your critic help you? How does it harm you? Most importantly, does it have a gift to share with you? Notice the ways in which your critic serves you and acknowledge its messages. Honor this part of your being for trying to help you in some capacity. Now when it arrives, track it. Notice its arrival. Thank it and acknowledge it. You can choose to use the critic to support your creative process or destroy it. What choice do you make? How can you continue to befriend this part of yourself? Need more support? Try this Tapping Meditation for big emotions. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!

The August full Moon coincides with a Partial Lunar Eclipse, opening a two week eclipse portal that awakens dharma, right action and purpose. Are you aligned or misaligned? On August 7th at 12:10 pm Mountain time, the Capricorn full Moon arrives as Moon transits Sravana nakshatra, the domain of Vishnu. The Partial lunar eclipse begins at 09:50 am Mountain time with the maximum eclipse at 12:20 pm Mountain time, and ending at 14:50 mountain time. During a lunar eclipse, Sun, Earth and Moon align and the Earth casts its shadow on the Moon. Because this is a partial lunar eclipse, the shadow of the Earth will only cover a portion of the Moon. Lunar and solar eclipses happen in pairs. A lunar eclipse always occurs about 2 weeks before or after a solar eclipse. On some occasions, a lunar eclipse can be both preceded and followed by a solar eclipse. This lunar eclipse kicks off a two week eclipse portal that closes with a full Solar eclipse on the new Moon August 21st. The upcoming solar eclipse is particularly important for the United States as it will shadow the majority of the USA. It is the first total solar eclipse in 99 years to cross coast-to-coast and the first to pass through any part of the lower 48 states in 38 years. Though the solar eclipse is an astonishing astrological event and an extremely rare occurrence, the Vedic perspective does not advise looking directly at the eclipse or being outside during the eclipse. From a Vedic perspective, it is never advised to be outside during an eclipse, or to look at it directly. If you must be outside, make sure your head is covered. Essentially you are absorbing shadow when you look at or are out during the eclipse- especially if it is visible in your location. It is like taking on more Rahu, or serpent energy, and is thought to bring more calamity and "shadowed awareness" into ones life. The lunar eclipse also marks a delicate two week gap between lunar and solar eclipses. It is not advised to start new projects at this time, nor make big decisions. Best to lay low, attend to spiritual pursuits, get extra rest and work with your inner shadow very consciously. As the lunar eclipse and full Moon arrive on Monday, an emphasis on dharma and right action awakens. The full Moon in Capricorn and Sravana invite in Vishnu's powerful sustaining energy. He is responsible for maintaining dharma, lineage, wisdom and right-action. When you are aligned with your purpose fully, there is ease, support, and progress. When you are going against dharma and right action, there is challenge, calamity and misfortune. However, even with challenge, there is opportunity for learning, growth and transformation. Do you know what it feels like to be aligned with your dharmic path? This full Moon and eclipse portal requests balance, integration and alignment. Right action is a focus and priority. Use action with awareness and wisdom. Take consistent steps towards goals and intentions. Build momentum based on your previous actions and choices. What moves you closer to your dharmic truth and life purpose? What moves you away from it? Rahu and Ketu are currently transiting the gaps between Leo and Aquarius, preparing to transit into new signs on August 18th, just prior to the total solar eclipse. Rahu and Ketu are eclipse points, the shadow nodes. They show us our biggest karma in this life time as well as where trauma and disconnection lives within the body. As Rahu prepares to move to Cancer and Ketu shifts to Capricorn for the coming 1.5 years, we are all feeling the impact of shifting karma. Look for a special article about the impact of this transit in the coming days. Are you on my newsletter list? Though the eclipse portal is not the time to start new projects and endeavors, it is a time to work directly with your shadow, wounds and challenges. You may notice more confrontation with your own darkness and mirrors from others. What do you notice about your shadow work? Are you leaning closer or pushing past it? Are you listening to the messages or avoiding them? Look at your jyotish chart and notice where Rahu and Ketu sit in your natal chart. What themes do they enliven in the houses and signs they sit in? What other planets and houses do they impact from their positions? These themes will be enlivened during the eclipse portal so pay attention to what shows up. Rahu and Ketu also impact our dharma and life purpose as they show why we have incarnated in this life time. What do they tell you about your life path? Sun and Mars transit Cancer at the time of the full Moon and lunar eclipse, setting the tone for the eclipse portal. As they move through Ashlesha nakshatra, Sarpa energy is enlivened. Sarpa is a mischievous serpent energy that can bring darkness and deception as well as mysticism and occult knowledge. It is time to shed and release your old skin. Where are you still clinging to parts of yourself that aren't serving you? Where are you stuck in your own darkness and illusion? Where are you by-passing and avoiding your grief, pain and heart ache? Move into right-relationship with your shadow and seek balance with light and dark forces. Use the resources below to confront and identify your path and purpose more directly. Use this time to set intentions and goals. What big life goals have yet to bear fruit? What actions and choices need to be taken so you can be in alignment with your path more fully? What support and resources do you need in order to move forward? Creative Ritual This is a powerful time to align with your dharma, your soul's purpose, as the eclipse portal awakens dharma and purpose. Currently I have one spot available in my Dharma Foundations Course. Is this course the right fit for you? Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Let's connect! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The July full Moon on Saturday the 8th coincides with Guru Purnima, the celebrated honoring of our teachers, guides, masters and the wisdom that they offer us in our lives. It is a highly auspicious day and one that is considered to be the "fullest full Moon" of the year in the Vedic tradition. Spend the day aligning with gratitude and thankfulness for the gifts that you have received from your biggest teachers. Meditate, create, spend time in nature and give thanks! On the 8th, at 22:06 Mountain time, the Moon is the ripest, transiting Sagittarius and Purvashada nakshatra. This is the domain of water goddess Apas, who brings transformational abundance through her watery wisdom. Apas comes from fire (tejas). When fire heats water, it transforms it and allows it to take new form. Much like perspiration and tears bring physical release, the rain releases accumulated moisture from the clouds. Apas can bring gentle waters or harsh and severe flooding. This is an Ugra or fierce and severe constellation. It can bring aggression, war and destruction. It can break us open, cleanse, rejuvenate and heal. Water always wins. The emotional body is your inner expression of the Divine Feminine, the wisdom of water. Purvashada nakshatra is ruled by the planet Venus and therefor expresses the qualities of life force energy and love, harmony and creative power. Your inner waters are responsible for feeling nourished and abundant in life. What is your relationship with your water wisdom? Are you allowing love, creativity and life force to flow through you? Where are you stuck, resistant, avoiding or distorting your life force energy? This cycle can support love, harmony and relationships. Open your heart and align with Bhakti, devotion. Love is the ultimate Dharmic path. Devote yourself to self love, loving-kindness, compassion and ahimsa, non harming. Notice where you are in battle with yourself. Track your mental body stories and emotional body waves closely. Do you lean closer or resist your feelings? What are the underlying needs that you may be missing through avoiding your emotional body wisdom? Seek the path of least resistance. Seek alignment with all your parts and pieces. Seek love and devotion to your entirety- shadow and light. Seek the integration of polarities. Find the still point within. Creative RitualThis Embodiment + Creativity Self Care resource is a simple one, yet often overlooked and tossed aside. We often neglect gratitude when we are stressed, overwhelmed or stuck in a cycle of chaos. Gratitude can be a powerful antidote, however, to changing our feelings of loss and lack, into hope and nourishment. Interestingly, the same part of the brain that produces fear also produces gratitude. Using gratitude for creating a small shift in focus, or a re-direct in therapeutic terms, can bring a sinking ship back to the surface. In terms of attracting what we want into our lives, we have to be in touch with the feeling level that we want more of. Despite how most people use the of Law of Attraction, it's not your thoughts that will get you the new car, the happy marriage or the big paycheck. However, if you continue to focus on the feeling of nourishment you get within your relationships, or the feeling of joy and ease that comes with more money, you can start to create more of that feeling in your life. Like attracts like. We all want more of the good stuff in our lives don't we? Using gratitude as a means of expanding the heart and feeling more joy is a very simple way to help us create a life that feels more nourishing, to help us thrive and expand our hearts. Are you joining me for my 10 Day Embodiment + Creativity Challenge?! Receive daily inspiration for increasing creativity, joy, embodiment and inner light. Get On the List. Create A Life of Thriving With These Five Steps: Step #1 Write a list of all the things you are grateful for. List the people, experiences and parts of your life that truly make you feel glad to be alive. Are you grateful for your health? Your children? Your garden? Your amazing clients? Put it on the list! Step #2 As you look at your gratitude list, pause and be still. Where do you feel the sensation of gratitude in your body? Can you feel it rising up from your belly or spreading across your chest? Try to locate the sensation and clearly identify it. Use this physical body feeling as a tuning fork. Keep coming back to this sensation as a way to touch in with the feeling of thriving and nourishment. More of that please! This is what you want to create more of in your life! Step #3 Create an image of this feeling of gratitude and the sensation of nourishment it brings into your body. Use craypas, paints, collage, pen and ink or any other medium that inspires you. Use colors, textures and shapes to create your image. Take 20+ minutes to create your image then give it a title. Step #4 Move your image. Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your nourishment image with an intention of "moving with your feelings of nourishment". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. Step #5 Harvest in your journal some of your key findings from this process. Answer these statements: I sense___ I feel____ I imagine____ Bonus Step: Pick a few people to share your gratitude with. The best way to amplify this feeling is to share it with others! Use post it notes for a quick thank you or get more elaborate and write out a love note to someone special. Write a sweet message of gratitude to your child or give your neighbor a friendly mailbox surprise. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever! Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The June full Moon arrives on Friday the 9th at 07:09 am Mountain time, while Moon is transiting sidereal Scorpio, Indra's domain, Jyestha nakshatra. The waning cycle to come ushers in storms and battles within the mental and emotional bodies. Deep transformation and upheaval are taking place within the psyche and soul. How are you working with this inner change process? Jyestha nakshatra is ruled by Indra, king of the devas (gods). A thunderbolt is his weapon of choice, as he rules the release of rain and opens the flood gates within the clouds. As the king of the gods, he is always in powerful alignment with dharma and right action. On a physical body level, he rules prana, life force energy. Using your life force energy in skillful ways, channeling it properly, is also dharmic. Sensory control and not succumbing to over stimulation is important as Jyeshta increases sensitivity on multiple levels of the bodies. Indra performs the battles for Rudra, the storm god, so conflicts are often synonymous with Indra and this constellation. You may notice a battle between emotional and mental bodies, good thoughts and bad thoughts, self and others, inner and outer. Conflicts occur within the dynamics of polarities. This waning Moon cycle ahead is a reminder to attend to duality with mindfulness and skill. Anger and aggression can emerge, causing tension, transformation and creative force. Slow down, find steadiness and grounding. Don't push or force your self or relationships. Get clear on your boundaries and needs. Are you pushing past a need? An inner boundary? Anger is often a result of not staying true to either a need or a boundary. It's time to clarify and strengthen desires and intentions. Rudra, the storm god, brings his ferocity this month as multiple planets march through this challenging and powerful constellation. Mars sits in Gemini on the ascendant at the time of the Full Moon- bringing duality, pluralism and the potential for opposing forces to merge and create new forms. Transformation is required in the coming weeks and throughout the month. Do you surrender to this change process or fight against it? Relationships are at the root of the storm. Upheaval and storms bring the awakening and potential for new growth. Look for needs showing up that you may have missed previously. What are you noticing are the essential ingredients for your safety, stability, grounding and integration? This coming cycle doesn't bring the stability you seek, however as uprooting arrives and your ungrounded needs rise to the surface, it can help you derive some clarity moving forward. First we must identify what is not working, in order to harvest what we do need moving forward. Seek inner transformation. Confront inner conflicts and bad habits that keep you stuck in perpetual battle with yourself and others. There is an extraction process taking place, however for many this will be through "beating you into submission" until the messages and clarity come. Do you really want to keep suffering? How much more struggle do you need? Listen for messages and clarity that give insights about relationship needs- both with yourself and others. Dig deeply into your heart and get your facts straight. What is awakening in your emotional body? What does this share with you about your needs for clarity, certainty and and comfort? The wisdom you are seeking comes through cracking open. Be willing to release, shed, destroy, create, transform and break free of your old illusions. Just after the full Moon, Jupiter goes direct in Virgo at 07: 53 am Mountain time. The guru, teacher and guide will now be moving in a forward direction. Virgo is not his favorite sign, and his direct motion will support some ease and pressure that has been building for many months. Retrograde planets intensify the implications of a transit. Healing, creativity, communication and digestion begins to move in a more forward motion now. Read more about this transit. Creative Ritual With the anger and aggression in the atmosphere these days, working with your emotions consciously is essential. Attend to Your Anger Consciously: Anger is often a first response emotion. It can become an addiction to feel anger- especially if this is the way you learned how to feel and express. Anger happens to be the most socially acceptable emotion, so most people default to anger quite easily. Step number one is to get into the habit of checking in with the four levels of your being and do a self audit. This process can help you identify the experiences happening within your inner landscape so you don't disconnect from your body and emotions. Read more about how to work with anger consciously and use these resources to transform your anger into awareness. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!
Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The May full Moon arrives on the 10th at 15:42 Mountain Time, while Moon transits Libra and the constellation of Vishaka. This portion of the sky is rooted in alliances, partnerships and building connections. The understanding that nothing is accomplished alone, without the help of support, guidance and others who share resources with you. Use this theme in the coming waning cycle to integrate and balance opposing forces. This full Moon is harmonizing as well as celebratory. It is Buddha Jayanti (also called Buddha Purnima), the celebration of Lord Buddhas birthday. Auspiciously, the celebration falls on a Wednesday this year, day of Mercury, the mind. May Lord Buddha's strength in mind and liberation of being ignite within us! Jai Buddha! Indragni rules Vishaka nakshatra- which expresses duality and a certain pluralism. Indra is the king, while Agni is the priest. Each entity brings a necessary element to the relationship, offering an inter-reliance or inter-dependence with each other. The king needs the wisdom and spiritual resources of the priest in order to align with deeper truth and power. The priest needs the physical and financial support and resources from the king in order to serve and deepen his wisdom. Thus both rely on each other for growth and dharma. Notice this dynamic at play within you, your life and relationships. Where are you noticing a duality or polarization? What conflicts are at play between your opposing forces? Where are you needing more integration, balance and harmony? At the time of the full Moon and moving into the waning Moon cycle, Venus is still exalted in Pisces, while Sun continues to exalt in Aries until the 14th. Jupiter is retrograde in Venus until June 9th, while Saturn will remain retrograde until August 25th- shifting back into Scorpio on June 21st. Three gandantas remain open until May 22nd when Mercury moves to Bharani nakshatra. Until then, three gaps of deep uprooting are taking place. These junction points between fire and water bring big changes especially on the psycho-emotional body levels. So much is in flux and change right now. It may feel challenging to find grounding, connection and a sense of rooting. The medicine for this time is deep embodiment, very slow gentle steps and extra listening and landing within. Moon in Libra is uncomfortable- there's too much movement and change, uncertainty and vacillation in this sign. As a result, the Moon feels unstable and ungrounded. Notice in the coming weeks how emotions shift constantly, confusion emerges suddenly and overwhelm sets in all too easily. There will be a strong need to ground, land and integrate opposing forces, polarities and conflicts- inner and outer. Identify these polarities and ask them to give you more information. What do each of these opposing forces need? What are they really asking you for? Lean in and listen. Pause and check. Ask your body wisdom to support and stabilize your inner knowing. Don't rush, push or force outcomes. Right now, it's essential to dance with the opposing forces, the new ground emerging. Find your new inner balance, your new set point for integration and harmony. Don't rush this. Read more about integrating polarities and finding yoga, union, with opposing forces. Creative Ritual More support for integrating and harmonizing your polarities: 1) Identify the polarities at play within you and your life. Make two distinct lists. What are the challenges? The resources? What is working? Not working? Name each category and identify the themes of each polarity that is arriving. 2) Create two images. One image is your challenge image. The other image is your resource image. Spend 10-20 minutes creating each image. Use craypas, paints, pens, collage or any medium that speaks to you. Title each image separately. Then ask each image to give you their message. If this image could speak, what would it say to you? 3) Harvest from each image. Answer these questions for each image separately. I am, I want, I need What is your learning? What have you harvested from this process? What does each part of you need? Deepen this process by using my Tapping Meditation for integrating polarities I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!
Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The April Full Moon is April 11th at 00:07 Mountain Time Zone, just minutes after Tuesday begins. Moon is in Virgo and Chitra nakshatra, with four planets retrograde- Saturn, Jupiter, Venus and Mercury. There is much returning, a required retracing of steps, and much to reassess in the coming cycle. This impacts all four levels of your being- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. This Virgo full Moon in Chitra, enlivens Vishvakarma's domain. Action, integrity, motivation, force, creative steps and the energy of Mars activate. The momentum for forward creativity and building has arrived, but first you must retrace your previous steps and discard what is hindering your progress. What ground requires that you return, excavate and rediscover the messages you previously glossed over? Where are you still stuck and feeling misaligned? You may be noticing increased criticism towards self and others. Expectations not matching results. A desire for clean up and clarification. Frustrations increase as the mind gets critical, focused and obsessed with outcomes. You are being forced to look at parts of yourself that need more attention. Can you find more acceptance and compassion with your mental body, thoughts and perceptions? The mind is just trying to keep you safe- at all costs- however, it is also keeping you playing small and insignificant. Break free from the old patterns and try something different. Vishvakarma rules the portion of the sky that spans from about 23 degrees Virgo to just over 06 degrees Libra. He supports building, growth, planning and action oriented endeavors, especially the creativity required to increase and proliferate- to bring plans into form. As the Divine Architect, he is an Aditya, which means he provides resources, support and gains on the material plane of existence. He creates, constructs, builds and plans- using the celestial sphere as his playground. As a form of Lord Brahma, he supports the manifestation process; ideas come into form, thoughts emerge into existence, visions become reality. This is a powerful cycle to clarify your desires and get clear on the action steps needed to materialize them into tangible, relative form. Without your clarity, you can not create and manifest. What is your ultimate goal? What action steps are required to bring this vision into reality? Work backwards. Manifestation takes place on the feeling level of your being- not on the thinking level of mind. If you are disconnected from your emotional body, you will have challenges creating and activating your inner intelligence and manifestation capabilities. This cycle can pull you out of feeling, so work closely with sensing and feeling in order to deepen your desires, needs and your relationship with your emotional body wisdom. What is showing up right now in your emotional body? Your needs and desires? Where do you feel safe to create and grow? Where are you feeling unsafe to expand and move forward? It will be through steady, consistent action steps that you succeed and arrive at your destination. You can not skip steps. Keep showing up, leaning in, moving towards your desires. Seek clarity through ample pause and check, silence, meditation and inner listening. You must make room for the new. This requires that you release and let go of the outworn emotional patterns and behaviors keeping you locked in old ways of being. Clear the mind of illusions, stories and pains that don't support your forward momentum. Listen carefully to body and spirit as resources for your sustained growth. What are you releasing so that you can open to the new in the cycle to come?! The April full Moon is also the celebrated birth day of Lord Hanuman, the beloved monkey god. He saved Sita from the wrath of the demon Ravana and brought her home safely to Ayodhya and Lord Raam. Hanuman is a Rudra, meaning he has immense strength, power and sheer force available to him. This strength was given to him by Vayu, the wind god, and father of both Bhima and Hanuman. Hanuman reminds us of righteous action, using our power and strength for conquering evil and restoring balance, while always upholding dharma. Creative Ritual PART #1 1) If I could do anything I wanted without the fear of failure what would it be? 2) What is stopping me right now from taking the first step? 3) How can I overcome what is stopping me? PART #2 Where do you want to be six months from now?! Step 1: Write down your vision. Journal it into your full awareness. Step 2: Create your vision. Draw, paint or collage your vision into form. Give it a title. Step 3: Harvest your vision. If your image could speak to you, what would it say?! Step 4: Make your vision a reality. What steps need to take place for your vision to become a reality six months from now?! What action step can you take today?! Ready to step into your passion, purpose and biggest desires? Full Moon is at 08:53 am MST while Moon transits Leo and Uttaraphalguni, the constellation of the ancestors and powerful creative life force energy. Aryaman rules this portion of the sky, offering resources like love, marriage, family, children, and that which perpetuates the ancestral line. Life force energy is enlivened here, which brings to life desires and helps them arrive into manifest form. What seeds are you planting right now? With three planets in gandantas (powerful gaps of uprooting and change) there is much to be released before your seeds can truly take root. Saturn is transiting Mula, Rahu is transiting Magha and Mars is in Ashwini until March 19th. These gandantas notoriously cause knots in the mental and emotional bodies to be removed through transformation, upheaval and change. Often uncomfortable, these are portions of the sky that open new doors, slamming old doors shut. As we linger here in the in-between, physically and within our shadowed self, there is an opportunity to also stand in much greater possibility and potential. Deep transformation and turmoil is taking place with this full Moon and in the cycle to come. A new clarity is emerging, but not until you pull up all the weeds and uproot the parts of yourself that are holding you back from greater empowerment. There may be confusion about your power and purpose, but now is the time to create a clear path and let go of the parts of yourself that hinder you from stepping into your power more fully. Dream big! Allow yourself to expand what you think is possible for yourself. Where are you limiting yourself? What stories have you been telling yourself that keep you stuck and playing small? What is holding you back from full manifestation of your goals, dreams and desires? These mental body stories stuck on repeat in your unconscious mind, must be brought to the light, released and transformed in order for you to step into a more powerful future. These stories are keeping you from powerful action steps. Gains come when you radically release your scarcity consciousness, your lack, the parts of yourself that don't yet feel deserving or capable of greater power. How long has this painful story been on repeat? How long will you keep playing it? Use the cycle ahead to get radical, clear, focused and determined to confront your goals head on. Use this cycle ahead to get radically clear about what is in your way of accomplishment and greater power. Uproot the old weeds in your mind and plant new seeds of life and nourishment. This Full Moon also marks the Holi celebration in the Vedic calendar which often roughly coincides with the vernal equinox and the arrival of spring (for the Northern Hemisphere). The equinox arrives on March 20th this year. Holi is a Vedic fertility celebration, sparking immense life force energy, potential and creative power to enliven. Step into your Divine Feminine power! No matter the hemisphere you are in, both spring and fall are considered "sandhi" times of year- or in between seasons. These are sacred times, when the veil is thin, sensitivity is heightened, and in Ayurveda we attend to necessary physical rituals that help the body cleanse and purify. Holi comes at this sacred junction and is a time to "plant seeds" so to speak. It is a celebration of fertility, abundance and the awakening of Shakti within Nature. This full enlivening of Ma, the Divine Mother, is celebrated during Vasant Navaratri- the nine days of Mother Divine beginning March 28th this year. We can consider this her "kick off" celebration as we plant our desires and create our fruits. Let this Full Moon bring you a sense of spring and possibility. Creative Ritual My Creative Rituals are intended to support your transformation and healing process in the cycle to come. Each ritual is in alignment with the cosmic tides- in order to help you adjust, shift and move more fluidly in balance with Nature's rhythms. Recycle this ritual more than once for added benefits. Similar to exalted planets in that they are "full" and can't be "added to", a Full Moon (or Purnima) means that it is full to capacity, there's no more room for it to expand and grow; it is complete. In this way, we can interpret the Full Moon as a "New Moon" in that it marks the beginning of a new cycle of emptying itself and refilling itself (mirroring our internal process). Beginning a lunar month at the Purnima is called Suklanta and differs from starting the count from the New Moon (Amavasya) which is the point when the Moon is empty and is waiting to be filled by the Sun. Purnima is in the middle of the Lakshmi phase of the Moon cycle whereas Amavasya is the moment during the cycle where Kali and Durga meet. Clearly, the energy is quite different; mirrored in our internal experience as well. These different methods of starting the lunar calendar remind me of the saying "is your glass half empty or half full?!" When do we start our "New Moon" calendar and begin our new lunar month? When we are full and satisfied or when we are empty and needing to be nourished? It is with this question in mind that I came up with this week's Creative Engagement Activity. Read more about the importance of the Moon. Often for a New Moon or a Full Moon, I like to work with the image of a mandala. Mandalas help us to create and express fullness, to fill empty space, to work with what is. Mandalas are a container, filled, with our visions, creativity and desire- much like a metaphor for life. 1) With this idea of "creating within a container" as well as half the image of full/empty, I invite you to draw two large circle shapes on a piece of paper. Cover up one of the circles with a sheet of paper while you create within the other. 2) The theme for this first circle is "being filled". Fill in the first circle with what you desire for the cycle to come. What do you want to be filled with? 3) When you feel complete with the first circle, look at both circles on your paper. One is "full" and one is "empty". What thoughts come to you? What feelings? Then answer these statements under your first circle: I am, I want, I need 4) Next, begin working on the second circle. The theme for this circle is "being emptied". What are you releasing and letting go of as you move into the cycle to come? 5) When you feel complete, write a few notes down. What do you notice as you look at the entire piece? What thoughts come to you? What feelings? Then answer these statements under your first circle: I am, I want, I need 6) Finally, harvest your thoughts on this process. Circle ten words that leap out at you from the writing you've done. Form these words into a three to five line poem. (Adding extra words is ok). Share your poem below! * Extra credit for dancing (embodying) your images and poem at some point this week. Friday, March 10th Moon in 14th tithi Chaturdasi The changing quality of the Moon will be felt early morning as she leaps the gandanta (gap) between watery Cancer and fiery Leo, burning off excess emotion in the process. This is a delicate junction point that uproots and unties karmic knots- especially with the ancestors. As Moon arrives in Leo, it lands in the lap of Rahu. Both will dance in Magha nakshatra for the coming day, enlivening ancestral karmas, connections and insights. It’s time to let go. Time to step into your power and purpose. What is your emotional body telling you about this need? Mercury moves into Pisces today. As Mercury settles into its debilitation sign, Pisces, on March 10th, a mental body depression arrives. You are boundless, immense love. Why continue to withhold the abundance of Nature from yourself?! Why are you keeping the walls up, the resistance in place? It's now time to receive the nourishment of life more fully. What needs to change in order for more receptivity and empowerment? ***UPDATE *** Sun shifts to Satabisha nakshatra late evening, February 18th. This is a game changer as Sun nears exact conjunction with Ketu. He'll be dropping through the tail of the serpent in the coming days/weeks, getting dismembered in the process. In many ways, this is the finale after months of a Kala Sarpa yoga that has brought to light many masculine/father themes. As Rahu transits Leo (now in Magha, related to father's lineage and the ancestors), shadows connected to the masculine are surfacing. Satabisha is a Rahu ruled nakshatra, which brings deception, illusion and uncertainty into awareness. Varuna rules this domain, and he is all-seeing, all-knowing- bringing with him a heightened critic and intense awareness. This can be turned outward or inward, or both. Remember compassion in the coming weeks- we will all need it. It will be easy to be overtly critical to ourselves and others, so try to be gentle and lean into your inner critic with loving-kindness as much as possible. What does your critic tell you about what you need? What is it asking of you in order to feel safe? At the same time, this nakshatra can also provide very rich and powerful healing with it. All that intensive gaze and awareness can be put to good use. What are you noticing within that needs to change? Are you ready now to make some dramatic shifts in your life? Now is the time. Not heeding to Varuna's scrutiny will only increase misery, pain and health challenges that can't be undone. Be very mindful of your health and body as Sun moves through Satabisha until March 4th. You may notice your health is more delicate and your body needs more TLC. Stay connected, grounded and embodied as much as possible. As Sun gets cracked open, deconstructed and restructured (with Ketu's help) body and soul awaken to new possibilities. This will likely be uncomfortable, but trust the process. Your deepest truths and needs are coming to the surface. Honor the darkness that is coming to the light. Mercury in Aquarius February 22nd, mid morning, swift moving Mercury arrives in Aquarius- joining Sun and Ketu here. This marks the last planet that will conjunct Ketu after months of all planets being hemmed in between Rahu and Ketu during the Kala Sarpa Yoga. Though this malefic yoga technically ended once Mars shifted into Pisces weeks ago, the conjunction of Sun and now Mercury with Ketu, is significant. There is closure taking place and certain death to old mental behaviors and patterns. The mind will be disconnected, restructured and transformed. Think of this like an internal re-boot. Confusion, uncertainty and challenges with mind, communications and all things Mercury may arrive in the coming weeks. Patience, slow steps and clear intention will be helpful, though the mind will be running faster than usual, and easily fried. Don't push or force yourself to perform. It's important to go slow in the coming days, though it will go against your tendencies. Slow down anyway. Attend to grief and pain surfacing- don't cut and paste over it. There is an important shift taking place with your dharmic path, your life purpose. Pay close attention to your voice, speech and your inner wisdom. Speak your spiritual truth and stay close to your body. Retreats, meditation and alone time will be essential in order for you to land within your inner knowing. Retrace your steps, walk old ground and notice what wisdom is returning. What teachers, gurus and guides are re-turning? Return to old resources that you've forgotten. Ask for support and guidance in order to clarify and activate your dharmic path and purpose. Take meaningful action steps. Maha Shivaratri Shivaratri arrives just before the new Moon (Amavasya) on February 24th. This is a time of deep silence and strong potential. It is the marriage celebration of Shiva and Shakti, a symbolic union of wholeness- when the absolute unmanifest, conjoins with the pulse of life force energy. Masculine and feminine merge and create life- and the ability to manifest becomes amplified. From this place of union, we can ignite the power of being, the power of life. Transformations abound right now- inner and outer. Are you paying attention to polarities in your life? What dualities are you aware of and what is needed for their integration? This is a powerful time for meditation and reciting the Mrityunjaya Mantra: oṁ tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam ǀurvārukam-iva bandhanān mṛtyormukṣīya māmṛtāt ǁ Shivaratri supports planting seeds of potential through the depth of silence. Shiva as destroyer, is at one with this awakened state of creativity. His role is to support your collapse into concentrated, focused alignment with the harmony of existence- that which is pure consciousness, deep, unaltered silence and awakening. This is where your creativity resides, your ability to manifest, create and transform- over and over again. Through the transcendence, you can easily touch this silence in its pure form. Shiva reminds us to use this silence to release, simplify and transform. From a silent and awakened state, you can plant the seeds of life more intentionally and powerfully. Use your deep inner silence for stirring your creative desires. As the full Moon arrives on March 12th, the fertility festival, Holi, will activate your silent seeds, helping them become more fully awakened with the creative wisdom of Nature. What are you creating for your powerful life? What is your vision? Let your imagination move you into being. Create life! New Moon in Aquarius On February 26th, the new Moon takes place in Aquarius at 07:59 am MST with the annual solar eclipse and four planets transiting the medicine star, Satabisha. Amavasya is the empty Moon, or new Moon- ripe with potential, fertility and possibility. It is always connected to Pitr, the god of the ancestors, particularly the father's lineage. There is an emptying out of the masculine taking place right now. A release is occurring in powerful ways. Lean into this process of letting go in order to maximize the healing potential arriving. Months of provocative themes have been emerging around the masculine, father, patriarchy and misogyny. Months of confrontation with power, strength, empowerment and the inner authority have emerged in brutal, challenging ways. Inner conflicts have intensified with the masculine and feminine. These themes have shown up in relationship dynamics, losses, pains and struggles, and with inner and outer needs. A new balance is arriving, but not without painful restructuring. Watch My Short Video Now Mars in Aries On March 1st at 13:38 MST, Mars moves through the challenging gandanta (gap) of endings and leaps into a new beginning. He will be burning off the past two years of karma (action) as he steps through this portal. There are three of these poignant gandantas in the zodiac- all marked by the gap between water and fire signs. It takes approximately two years for Mars to cycle through the zodiac, roughly two months in each sign. This transit into Aries, marks a powerful beginning, an awakening into new possibility and potential. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and Ashwini is the first lunar constellation of the zodiac. As Mars enters this territory, it is a new beginning, a renewal, and also marks a clarity of action and purpose. Mars is the warrior planet; when in balance, he takes decisive action steps and empowered choices. When weak, actions, decisions and momentum falter. Mars will be in Aries, his own sign as well as his office (mulitrikona), until April 13th, which is a powerful time for clarifying your actions, choices and goals for the year ahead. This can be a cycle of gains and momentum if you align with it properly. It's a time to uproot relationships and behaviors that don't serve you, honor or support you. What do you need for greater stability and support- within your body, relationships and environment? Rahu will be giving his shadowed gaze to Mars during this transit, which can bring increased strength, or excess confusion. Don't lose sight of your vision at this time. The risk of self doubt and the strangling impact of the critic is high. This is an important time to seek clarity and focus, with your passion and purpose. What support, resources and tools do you need for greater support? What is working? What needs an upgrade? You will need to radically let go of the old, in order to fully invite in, and embrace the new. If it's not working, get rid of it. Venus Retrograde At 07:21 am on January 27th, Venus arrives in its exaltation sign, Pisces, joining Mars here. This will be an extended stay for Venus in its most powerful sign. Normally Venus transits are about one months long, but Venus will be here until May 31st. Part of this transit, Venus will be retrograde (from March 4th to April 15th) rendering her effects debilitated. Expect highs (exalted) and lows (retrograde) with all things Venus during this transit. The impact of Venus will effect relationships, finances, creativity, health and the feminine. Jupiter gives his gaze to Venus and Mars seven houses away, creating a necessity for balance between spiritual and material desires. Jupiter rules over the gods (devas), while Venus rules over the demons (asuras). These are the inner dynamics of all human beings- light and dark. A new sense of balance is taking place within you, within your polarities and opposing forces- particularly the masculine and feminine principles. This is why relationships will be particularly poignant in this transit, as relationships mirror the self. Dharma is a powerful part of the coming four months as Moon, Sun and Sravana nakshatra are all on the horizon at the time of Venus's arrival into Pisces. Your dharmic path will require immense courage and bravery, but in fact there's much support arriving for you if you are willing to receive it. It's the heaviness and burdens that are in your way of thriving. Release the burdens that are holding you back and step powerfully into your creative intelligence. Speak, express and articulate through creative outlets. Share your wisdom with others and align with your highest truth. Listen to my podcast about Exalted Venus to understand the impact on you personally Full Moon in Leo The March full Moon is on the 12th at 08:54 am MST, while Moon is at the edge of Leo. Moon will be conjunct shadow node Rahu at this time and moving through Aryaman's domain in Uttaraphalguni. Aryaman is one of the 12 Adityas, meaning he brings resources, support and abundance on the material plane of existence. He is also known as the chief of the ancestors and that which pleases them- particularly through marriage, children and anything that continues the lineage. The Phalguni stars relate to love, sexuality and relationship. Perfectly timed, as the Vedic fertility festival Holi is taking place simultaneously. More details coming soon! Mercury in Pisces As Mercury settles into its debilitation sign, Pisces, on March 10th, a mental body depression arrives. This impacts life path, purpose and a sense of progress. This depression with hopes, dreams and aspirations is impacted by the inner critic and past failures. Part of you doesn't trust your ability to succeed, so subconsciously there's a refusal to step forward. At the same time, this is powerful opportunity to look more closely at the mental thought patterns that are hindering your success, momentum and achievements. In order to unravel these unconscious parts of yourself, you will need extra support, guidance and resources. There are ample resources arriving. Are you able to receive this nourishment? Or are you stuck in lack, refusal and resistance? Imagine all the support in the world lining up to insure you succeed, are fully nourished and supported. It's here, waiting for you! What is standing in your way of receiving all this abundance? Your old stories, mental programming and past failures will make it impossible to fully accept and align with the abundance of the universe. Use this cycle to clean up, release, attend to and purify the mental programming that has you locked in behaviors, choices and experiences of lack and malnourishment. It's time to upgrade your mind. Sun in Pisces On March 14th, Sun moves to the final sign of the zodiac, Pisces, at 05:40am MST. He joins Mercury and Venus here. Retrograde Jupiter gives his gaze, bringing expansion and integrity. This is a cycle of increasing courage, strength and empowerment by activating creativity and inner power. It's vital that you step into your creative intelligence with gusto and tenacity! Where are you slacking, playing small and refusing to increase the vibrancy of your life? What does it look like to upgrade your relationships, purpose and inner power? How does it feel to create a new, empowered life for yourself? This cycle supports the release and letting go that will prepare you for an even more powerful awakening. Next step is Sun, exalted in Aries! Do everything you can to prepare now. What is standing in the way of your full power? What relationships keep you stuck in lack and disempowerment? Clean, clear, release. It is especially important to attend to this purging on mental and physical body levels. An increase in vitality is possible, as you clarify and purify old stagnation, toxicity and impurities. Lighten your load! Get grounded and clarify your next steps. Late March, Sun and Venus collide, causing a combustion. Fire and water don't blend well and can end up scorching the vitality within. Your inner resiliency, life force, is extra delicate at this time as Venus retrogrades and debilitates at the same time as the combustion. This is an ideal time to attend to health, vitality, wellness and the physical body very diligently. A deep purification process is taking place- preparing you for a new Sun cycle. Radically release and purify. Are you disconnected from your First Chakra? Aries: Here we go again You're dancing with the fire You're dancing with the Beast You're still hungry- I'll take you to the feast. Here we go again The rage is a craving The thunder is your song The power is misfortune The misery is strong Here we go again The spirals and the chaos The torment and the chains No steps to the mirror Oh! The Beast lives on. Here we go again I'm waiting with my palms I watch you burn and writhe I sing your laments Still waiting for your dawn. -Swati J. Miller Taurus: THE HOUSE OF BELONGING I awoke this morning in the gold light turning this way and that thinking for a moment it was one day like any other. But the veil had gone from my darkened heart and I thought it must have been the quiet candlelight that filled my room, it must have been the first easy rhythm with which I breathed myself to sleep, it must have been the prayer I said speaking to the otherness of the night. And I thought this is the good day you could meet your love, this is the grey day someone close to you could die. This is the day you realize how easily the thread is broken between this world and the next… -David Whyte Gemini: It doesn't interest me if there is one God or many gods. I want to know if you belong or feel abandoned. If you know despair or can see it in others. I want to know if you are prepared to live in the world with its harsh need to change you. If you can look back with firm eyes saying this is where I stand. I want to know if you know how to melt into that fierce heat of living falling toward the center of your longing. I want to know if you are willing to live, day by day, with the consequence of love and the bitter unwanted passion of your sure defeat. I have heard, in that fierce embrace, even the gods speak of God. —David Whyte Cancer: How do trees deal with injustice? They grow a branch wherever they were cut. And how do sparrows deal with grief? They open their tiny wings and swoop at anything that glistens. So why am I all cut & hungry? Because I do not know the tree that is my soul and refuse the sparrow in my heart. - from Finding Inner Courage by Mark Nepo Leo: Everyone who terrifies you is sixty-five percent water. And everyone you love is made of stardust, and I know sometimes you cannot even breathe deeply, and the night sky is no home, and you have cried yourself to sleep enough times that you are down to your last two percent, but nothing is infinite, not even loss. You are made of the sea and the stars, and one day you are going to find yourself again. - F. Butler Virgo: "Once upon a time, when women were birds, there was the simple understanding that to sing at dawn and to sing at dusk was to heal the world through joy. The birds still remember what we have forgotten, that the world is meant to be celebrated." -Terry Tempest Williams Libra: SWEET DARKNESS You must learn one thing. The world was made to be free in. Give up all the other worlds except the one to which you belong. Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet confinement of your aloneness to learn anything or anyone that does not bring you alive is too small for you. -David Whyte Scorpio: The Thing Is The thing is.. to love life, to love it even when you have no stomach for it and everything you've held dear crumbles like burnt paper in your hand, your throat filled with the silt of it. When grief sits with you, its tropical heat thickening the air, heavy as water more fit for gills than lungs; when grief weights you like your own flesh only more of it, an obesity of grief, you think, How can a body withstand this? Then you hold life like a face between your palms, a plain face, no charming smile, no violet eyes, and you say, yes, I will take you I will love you again. -Ellen Bass Sagittarius: Be taught now, among the trees and rocks, how the discarded is woven into shelter, learn the way things hidden and unspoken slowly proclaim their voice in the world.... Find that far inward symmetry to all outward appearances, apprentice yourself to yourself, begin to welcome back all you sent away, be a new annunciation, make yourself a door through which to be hospitable, even to the stranger in you. - David Whyte Capricorn: You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again. Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting- over and over announcing your place in the family of things. - Mary Oliver Aquarius: Praying It doesn't have to be the blue iris, it could be weeds in a vacant lot, or a few small stones; just pay attention, then patch a few words together and don’t try to make them elaborate, this isn't a contest but the doorway into thanks, and a silence in which another voice may speak. - Mary Oliver Pisces: What To Do In Darkness Go slowly Consent to it But don't wallow in it Know it as a place of germination And growth Remember the light Take an outstretched hand if you find one Exercise unused senses Find the path by walking it Practice trust Watch for dawn - Marilyn McEntyre Did You Miss My *free* Embodied Chakra Class?! - What is embodiment and why does it matter so much? - Clarify exactly where you are disconnected from your first chakra. - Gather resources, tools and guidance for deeper body wisdom. - Strengthen your manifestation skills. - The one thing you need for lasting healing. - Identify and release blockages keeping you from fully embodying your full inner power. - Understand what your jyotish chart shares about your personal trauma and disconnection. This Cancer full Moon occurs with a penumbral lunar eclipse and a comet sighting shortly after, though barely visible from earth. Three cosmic events open the delicate two week eclipse portal. The full Moon occurs at 17:34 MST while Moon is at the edge of Cancer and Ashlesha nakshatra (using Mean node calculations). In the Vedic calendar, this is considered Magha Purnima, which is connected to Leo and the ancestors. The penumbral lunar eclipse begins to emerge at 15:34 MST, reaching its climax at 17:43 MST, and finding completion at 19:53 MST. This eclipse will cast its shadow on Europe, Much of Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, Antarctica. From a Vedic perspective, it is never advised to be outside during an eclipse, or to look at it directly. If you must be outside, make sure your head is covered. This also marks a delicate two week gap between lunar and solar eclipses. It is not advised to start new projects at this time, nor make big decisions. Best to lay low, attend to spiritual pursuits, get extra rest and work with your inner shadow very consciously. Ashlesha nakshatra is ruled by Sarpa, the mystical serpent. For months the Sarpa energy has been a powerful influence because of the Kala Sarpa Yoga effects. The highs and lows of the cosmic serpent energy wreaked havoc on masculine and feminine energies through the end of 2016. Multiple planets touched the tail of the serpent (Ketu), deconstructing and transforming them into new possibilities and awareness. We are in the final phases of this emergence as Sun leaps to Aquarius on February 12th. Mercury will follow on the 22nd. Consider this full Moon and eclipse portal a final release process, an extraction and harvesting of months and months of upheaval. What is the theme of your past few months? What are you harvesting about your inner magic and the mysteries of life? Sarpa is notorious for his black magic and deceptive ways. He is illusion and confusion at his worst. At his best, he brings mystical wisdom and occult awareness. Snake medicine is indicative of Kundalini energy and the spinal column, as well as sexual potency. The lunar nodes Rahu and Ketu are expressions of serpent energy. First of all, they are not real, only shadows on the Moon, your inner wisdom and intelligence. Just as the nodes cause intensification, uncertainty, confusion and extremes, so does the energy of Sarpa. Highs and lows appear, as shadow merges into light and light moves back to darkness. What you see is not always what you get, or what you wanted. This full Moon and penumbral lunar eclipse opens a two week portal that ends with the annual solar eclipse on February 26th. It is a delicate window of time that opens up shadowed experiences and illusions. Profound mystical opportunities are possible as well as new awareness and understandings. Simultaneously it is also a time that increases misunderstandings, confusion and deceptive behavior. Be especially careful of toxic environments, foods, drugs and people. Ashlesha is notorious for excesses of all kinds- most notably toxicity with mind altering substances. This can include any form of deception or separation from your truth and inner knowing. At the time of the full Moon, Cancer, Ashlesha and the Moon are all on the horizon. Moon and the Ascendant are both sandhi, at the very edge of Cancer- which opens the gate between this water sign and fiery Leo. This is considered a major gandanta, or sacred gap, that marks upheaval, change and transformation- usually on the psycho-emotional level. Gandantas are notorious for creating challenge because the nature of change is some level of transformation or alchemy. The bigger the change process, the bigger the challenges. This eclipse portal brings emotional transformation, but through the mental body. Attend to your emotional waves and notice what stories are impacting them. The mind needs to be cleared of old toxic patterns and behaviors in order for you to release the shadow and illusions that are keeping you in the dark. Using the Emotional Freedom Technique is an excellent resource for clearing these blockages. Relationships become a major part of this transformation process. What are you learning about yourself as you look in the mirror? Let your heart wisdom guide you and become the guru. Use devotion, Bhakti, to strengthen your path and purpose. Get devoted to your self, your path and your purpose. Make love your dharma and dharma your love. Allow passion to feed you, stir your longings and provoke action steps. Where are you playing small- in matters of love and creativity? The immense healing that is possible in this two week cycle is dedicated to the inner change process, but in a heart centered way. It is through intimately navigating the chambers of your heart- how you love, who you love and what you love- that clarity, new awareness and release will emerge. Clean up the resistance and that which is clogging your heart chakra. It is especially important to release the critic and the parts of you that shut you off from feeling love, gratitude and acceptance. Lean into compassion and loving-kindness, towards your self and others. Drop the stories of right and wrong. Can you surrender to acceptance, trust and your highest vision? Speak your truth, but be mindful of your snake mouth. Make sure your words are the sweet truth and come from the heart.
