July begins with a powerful new Moon in Ardra nakshatra and a total solar eclipse. The intensity of this combination will be felt days in advance, ushering in an emotional eclipse portal that will end mid month. Ardra nakshatra is notorious for creating big storms- internally and environmentally. Bring a rain jacket and prepare for larger than normal inner waves this eclipse cycle.
On July 2nd, the new Moon occurs at 13:17 MT while Sun and Moon collide in Gemini within the constellation of Ardra. Four planets, Sun, Moon, Rahu and venus, conjunct in Gemini, the sign of all things communication and self expression. Rahu's shadow intensifies this combination, causing confusion, uncertainty, darkness and doubt to emerge. The challenging exact conjunction of Saturn and Ketu is looking directly at these four planets from Sagittarius, causing the sense of breaking, restructuring, struggle and sudden change to arrive. This planetary dynamic is intense, but the added pressure of a total solar eclipse will increase the challenges present, inviting all of us to face internal shadows that have previously gone unnoticed or disregarded.
This is a cycle of waking up and creating new awareness. There is a dawning taking place, new light emerging, however, this light comes with facing darkness and struggle. Relationships, communication, creativity and self expression may feel blocked, uncertain or painful. Gains will come with effort, focus and restructuring. Your inner light may feel dim, so find ways to remember your power and purpose, even when frustrated or challenged by circumstances.
Eclipses intensify everything and tend to make mountains out of mole hills. We may get lost in the overwhelm and negativity during this two week cycle, so keep moving toward the light. Stay positive and look for solutions rather than focusing on the darkness, but do not bypass the necessary inner work that you are being asked to show up for. This is a powerful time to address inner shadows head on and release inner blockages that you've been overlooking.
Ardra nakshatra is ruled by the storm god, Rudra. He rules over strong storms energy, big emotions, inner and outer upheaval and undigested grief that is disguised as anger and rage. Notice your emotions and be willing to lean closer. Why might you be feeling this way? What can your emotions tell you about your deeper needs? What do your challenging emotions help you identify? What are they asking for?
Your willingness to honor your big emotions will support their release. Stay present and willing to be with your challenging parts. There is something trying to push through and come to the surface. Are you listening? What needs to change? Your emotional body waves are asking for more nourishment. Be willing to support the release so that you have space for more of what you truly want and need.
This eclipse portal begins with a total solar eclipse on July 2nd and lasts for two weeks. The July 2nd solar eclipse begins at 10:55 am MT and ends at 15:50 MT, with the maximum eclipse occurring at 13:22 MT. The solar eclipse is only visible from South America. This waxing cycle completes with full a Moon, Guru Purnima and a partial lunar eclipse on July 16th. A reminder that this two week cycle is not a time to start new projects. Finish up projects and take necessary action steps prior to the new Moon in order to prepare for the weeks ahead.
Emotions tend to intensify during eclipses and shadows are much stronger. You may feel less clear and focused so don't make sudden decisions. Challenges often intensify so we can see them more clearly and make the necessary changes that will support new growth. This can be a time of immense inner transformation if used properly.
Even though this eclipse is not visible in the Northern Hemisphere, from a Vedic perspective, it is not advised to be outside during an eclipse or to look directly at the eclipse taking place. Wear a head covering if you have to be outside so you don't absorb the shadow. Ideally, this is a time for spiritual practices such as meditation, chanting and fasting. Set intentions and honor the sensitivity of this time. It is also widely recognized that during and between eclipses, starting new endeavors will not bring positive results. No new projects, relationships or activities should start in the eclipse portal. Notice what needs are arriving, then take action after the eclipse portal closes. Best to lay low, attend to spiritual pursuits, get extra rest and work with your inner shadow very consciously during this cycle.
Use the two week Eclipse cycle for spiritual practices, rest, retreat and your dharmic path. Set intentions for the coming weeks and honor your self care. Honor you emotional body wisdom and confront your inner shadows. Make necessary changes in your actions and choices. Release negative thought patterns, behaviors and inner dialogue that is keeping you stuck in patterns and cycles of lack. Clear, release and let go so that you have even more space for your deepest nourishment.
This Creative Ritual will also help you work directly with your challenges- emotion or otherwise. Take your challenge into a creative process and see what develops!
Movement Exploration. What emotion are you feeling? Is it anger, depression, frustration, chaos, uncertainty? Start dancing this emotion. What does it feel like in your body? Do the "dance of anger" for example. What emerges as you do your anger dance?! Remember to let sounds out! Move and develop your dance for at least minutes. When you feel a sense of closure, ask yourself these questions:
I sense, I feel, I imagine.
Create an image of your emotion. What does it feel like? Put it on paper using colors, textures and shapes. Create an image that expresses your experience with this emotion and whatever emerged in your dance. Spend at least 5 to 20 minutes creating this image. I suggest using paints or craypas and a large piece of paper. Title your image. In your journal or on the back of the drawing answer this question:
If your image could speak what would it say?
Harvesting. Answer these baseline statements and questions in your journal once you have completed the previous steps.
What am I opening to?
What am I closing to?
Recycle this process whenever strong emotions emerge. Remember they arrive to give you important messages. Listen carefully and honor them with deeper listening. What is the emotion telling you? What do you need for deeper nourishment in your life?

The June full Moon occurs on Monday the 17th at 2:30am MT while Moon is transiting Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra, a lunar constellation ruled by the dark goddess, Nirrti. Moon joins the sensitive and complicated planets in exact conjunction here as well- Ketu and Saturn. We also have four planets conjunct in Gemini looking directly at Sagittarius, causing an intense emotional dynamic that will make this full Moon feel like a release of immense emotional build up. Mercury, Mars, Rahu and Sun are asking for intensified clarity, courage and creativity right now. Don't drop the ball.
This is a powerful full Moon and waning cycle for your dharmic path. Don't miss the messages arriving to support you, nor the opportunity to clear your path. If used properly, this cycle can be of great benefit to your dharma, your life path and purpose. For others, immense calamity and confusion may arrive. Try to stay on path and don't let the goddess of adharma pull you from your inner wisdom.
When any planet transits this portion of the sky, they go through a powerful uprooting process. Mula nakshatra is considered one of three gandantas- junction points in the sky that cause immense psycho-emotional body uprooting. This powerful transformation process can clear away blockages and obstacles so the path is clear, or it can create such confusion, calamity and misfortune that the dharmic path becomes unclear, misdirected and completely disconnected. It takes great strength, courage and intention to stay on path with Mula nakshatra. Those born under this star often go through painful life challenges that keep them from fully utilizing their innate gifts. They may struggle with such self doubt as a result of misfortune that they can't clearly see their purpose or offering in this world.
The ruling deity of Mula nakshatra is Nirrti. Married to adharma (that which goes against dharma), the dark goddess of calamity, chaos and misfortune, presents unusual challenges on the dharmic path that can lead souls astray. It is therefor vital that when Mula is influencing us we take stock of our actions, choices and behaviors with honesty and truthfulness. Because this constellation is notorious for creating a sense of overwhelm, simplicity and editing our choices is important. Less is more with this constellation. Through simplicity and consistency, a deeper spiritual awareness is possible. Nirrti can clear the path of rubble and debris so that we can focus our attention and intention on what truly matters. However the diligence required takes great skillfulness and strength.
Use the waning cycle ahead to clarify your path, purpose and offering. Where are you getting stuck in overwhelm, overdoing and fear? How is this impacting your results and behaviors? It's time to get truly honest about your focus, direction and desires. Are you making progress or spinning your wheels? Are you truly aligning with your highest potential, or settling for less than you deserve? Have you truly done all that you can to make sure your dharma is awakened, or is your self doubt keeping you stuck in painful choices and behaviors?
The June full Moon is powerful opportunity to awaken your dharmic path and clarify your life purpose- however it will take your diligence and focused action steps. If you feel yourself getting off path or you realize that you are not aligned with your true purpose, it's time to make some adjustments. Make the necessary changes that puts your dharma first and allow your big dreams to be your top priority. Ask for the help you need and expand your vision. Step up and align with what truly matters to you. Your soul is asking for more. Are you ready to finally listen? Be very conscious in this cycle of what is moving your closer to dharmic alignment and what is moving you further away from it.
Sun has now shifted to Gemini, joining Mars, Mercury and Rahu here as well. He transits the air sign of communication and creativity until mid July. This transit illuminates communication- physically and mentally- supporting a deeper understanding of your body and its self expression. Challenges may occur with self expression and creativity as well. Blockages are resistance in disguise so be willing to address your shadows and illusions. Watch for self doubt and uncertainty as Sun collides with Rahu. Break through the old stories, patterns and behaviors that are keeping you stuck, playing small and stuck. It's time to expand your creativity and self expression. Use a multi-modal approach through dance, writing, painting and music.
Summer Solstice (Northern Hemisphere) occurs on Friday, June 21st at 09:54 am MDT. In the Northern Hemisphere, this is the longest day of the year in terms of daylight. In the Southern Hemisphere, on the other hand, it is the shortest day of the year and is known as the Winter Solstice. Solstice comes from the Latin words sol, meaning Sun and sistere, meaning to come to a stop or stand still. On the day of the June Solstice, the Sun reaches its northernmost position, as seen from the Earth. At that moment, its zenith does not move north or south as during most other days of the year, but it stands still at the Tropic of Cancer. It then reverses its direction and starts moving south again. The opposite happens during the December Solstice. Then, the Sun reaches its southernmost position in the sky - Tropic of Capricorn - stands still, and then reverses its direction towards the north.
This is a potent time to take stock of your life, your actions and choices. Think of it like a tipping point. What direction are you moving in? Are you actively moving towards your desires and life purpose? What shifts and changes need to take place in order to align with your inner light, your souls offering in this life time?
Clarifying Your Dharma. Turning Dreams into Reality.
Use this Creative Ritual, to deepen and cultivate more presence with your dharma. Allow your dharmic vision to come alive!
1) Creating Your Dharmic Vision.
Get out your drawing pad and craypas. Create an image of your dharma, fully realized and activated. Maybe this feels impossible, but try anyway. If you feel stuck, pick a color and just start running it across your paper. Notice carefully what begins to emerge within you.
What colors, images, textures and shapes express your dharma? Let that gentle sensation that arrived from reading your passion list carry you through this activity. Keep returning to the list, adding to it if you need to, and creating an image that expresses the feelings you receive from looking at your passion list.
Get into this and let yourself play, fully arriving into the reality of joy and passion. Let this image serve as your reminder, your dharmic map. Hang it up on your wall and let it inspire your action steps. Be sure to title your image.
Once your image is complete, let it answer this question:
If your image could speak to you, what would it say?
Take 20-30 minutes for this unless you feel like extra time would serve you.
2) Activating Your Dharma.
The next step requires the physical integration of this joy and passion. Moving it from the imaginal realms, and letting it become a recognized, physical sensation in the body.
Set a timer for 20 minutes. Look at your image and let a certain part of your drawing attract your attention. Let a color, shape, or image draw you in. This is your starting point. Begin to move this part of your drawing with your body. Let your body move in response to the image. Develop your dance using the intention of increasing awareness, activation of your desires, and the sensation of joy and passion. This is both an activation of your desires, as well as an exploration of your body's messages and sensations. Invite in the information. Remember, you are activating your dharmic map! Let this be your intention.
As your timer rings, hold the shape of your body, as though you are a statue. Let a word or phrase come to you that describes your statue. Declare this!
Take at least 20 minutes for your dance.
3) Harvesting and Planting Seeds.
Once you have completed your image and your movement exploration, it's time for some harvesting and further activation. Answer these baseline statements in your journal separately: I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine.
Circle one of these baseline statements that speaks to you most loudly. Create an action step for yourself that will help you honor and activate this sensation. How does this aligns with your passion list? If your statement is "I feel joy", then affirm that you will take an action step that creates more joy for yourself, perhaps doing something on your passion list for example.
Clearly identify an action step and then make a doable goal with it. Such as "I will work in my garden once a week which makes me feel joyful." Write your goal down on a piece of paper. Now, look at your image, recall your dance exploration, and read your baseline statements once again. How does your action step and goal align with the dharmic vision you have created?
Remember you can recycle this process again and again, finding different options for yourself (which I encourage you to do). Keep exploring and taking these action steps. Let your passions be your focus and set an intention for at minimum, once a week (daily is best), working directly with these sensations you've uncovered in this process. Let them motivate you. Remember, these sensations are like seeds. Tend to them gently, honor and nourish them. You are well on your way to creating your dharma. Step by step!

Just as the month begins, the June new Moon occurs on the 3rd at 4:02 am MT. Moon is transiting its favorite sign, Taurus, while navigating the powerfully creative star, Rohini. This portion of the sky is ruled by Lord Brahma, god of creation. Both Brahma and his wife Saraswati create an unstoppable force of manifestation.
Less than 24 hours after the new Moon occurs, Venus shifts to its own sign, Taurus, inviting in new support and stability for all things Venus. The coming cycle is a powerful time to bring long standing ideas and dreams into manifest form. Taurus is great support for creating in tangible ways, while offering nourishment, financial support, and food for life force.
Rohini nakshatra is a powerful portion of the sky dedicated to creativity on all levels- allowing dreams and desires to manifest. Ruler of this nakshatra, Lord Brahma, is the god of creation; he literally birthed the universe from his navel. Now is the time to bring forth your ideas, desires and creative impulses from the unseen, hidden realm. Awaken your deepest desires and allow them to take shape.
If you've been putting off action steps, expansion of ideas and desires, now is the time to get serious. There is a lot of proactive energy in the transits right now that can be put to good use. Use your energy wisely and channel it creatively. Ask for more and step up to make it happen. Manifestation occurs when we activate and align with our dreams and desires, while also taking conscious, congruent and consistent action steps to support them.
Use this coming waxing cycle to birth something new. Awaken your buried passions and ignite your purpose. Where have you been playing too small? What have you neglected to fully ask for? What steps are you resisting or refusing to take?
Maximize your creative life force energy and awaken the power of your creative courage. Step into your power and potential. Restructure, release, transform and grow. Shed the old parts of you that doubt and play the victim. Uproot the stories and mental blockages that are keeping you poor and in survival. It's time to step up, expand your ability to receive the nourishment of life. Make sure that your actions and choices align with your desires. Seek congruency with your vision and your behaviors. Open the channels for more life force energy and say yes to life!
1) Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of your nourishment. What does nourishment feel like for you? Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow 20 minutes at minimum for this nourishment image. Title your image.
2) Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your nourishment image with an intention of "moving with your feelings of nourishment". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process.
3) Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions:
I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine.
What deeply nourishes me? What no longer nourishes me?
Where do I feel support in my life? Where do I need more support?
What am I opening to? What am I closing to?

The May full Moon occurs on the 18th at 15:11 MT while Moon is transiting Scorpio and Anuradha nakshatra. This is also considered Buddha Purnima, celebrated as the birth date of Lord Buddha, or Siddhartha, prior to becoming the revered spiritual teacher and enlightened master.
Moon is considered debilitated in Scorpio, which internalizes the emotional energy of this full Moon. You may notice this full Moon has a complex dynamic of fullness, but on a very inner level. You may notice that your emotional body feels full, intense and brooding, yet stuck. There is a need to release undigested emotions that have not been attended to or released during the previous cycles. Notice if you're holding in your emotions and not fully acknowledging what is under the surface.
Anuradha nakshatra is ruled by Mitra, who supports alliances, friendships and connecting. He is detail oriented, wants you to succeed, and encourages friendship and supportive relationships that will help you grow. This constellation is also ruled by Saturn, indicating that struggles and challenges must be overcome in order to gain success and achievement. Often Anuradha indicates grief, suffering and hardship that must be transformed. A willingness to change challenge into resource, difficulties into triumphs, insures the success and strength of this constellation.
Sun shifts to Taurus on the 15th of May, receiving direct gaze from retrograde Jupiter in Scorpio. Without any negative influences, Sun can be proactive this month and support you with more connections, success and creative gains. Taurus is a sign of material, earth based, tangible results. Sun will be focused on helping you progress on the material level so use this time to put desires and ideas into manifested reality. Try not to be lazy or neglectful of your path, purpose and desires. Stay focused, even when things are going well.
In the cycle ahead, focus on your connections, relationships and growing your reach. Attend to friendships, create alliances, step forward towards goals and achievements. Stop trying to do everything alone and start asking for the help you need in order to succeed. Get clear on your goals, focus and intentions. Start making your vision a reality!
Where are you resisting asking for help? What guidance, resources and wisdom are missing right now on your path? What new support or resources do you need in order to create more success on a material level? What action steps must be taken in order to create your vision and make it a reality?
1) Spend some time journaling about where you are going on your path and what direction you want to move in. What goals do you have? What is the time frame for these goals? What is your vision for your life, for your dharmic gifts, your dharmic business?
2) Create an image of this vision you have for your life and your dharmic offering. What colors, textures, images share the feeling of this vision? Use craypas, collage, paint or any medium that inspires you. Spend 20 minutes on this image or create until it feels complete.
3) Harvest from your image. Give it a title and let it speak. If this image could speak to you, what would it say? Let is answer these questions:
What action steps, choices and behaviors are moving you closer to your dharmic vision?
What actions, choices and behaviors are moving you further away from your dharmic vision?

The May new Moon occurs on the 4th at 16:46 MT while Moon is transiting Aries and Bharani nakshatra. This is a cycle of rebirthing, releasing and powerful transformation. There may be laboring in the process of this birthing, but trust that something new is emerging. It will be worth your effort. Something is dying within you. Let it go and create space for the new.
This May new Moon in Aries signals a fresh start, a new beginning and a process of opening to a brand new cycle. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. Exalted Sun is here until mid month, while Mercury has just entered a new annual cycle as well. As the Moon empties, releases and darkens, it is signaling the shift towards a new phase of life- physically, mentally and emotionally.
Bharani nakshatra is ruled by Yama, lord of death and king of dharma. He determines your karmas at the time of death and encourages self control, restraint and right action. Through alignment with dharma, Yama supports your afterlife and rebirth process. Those who go against Yama will receive the wrath of Natural Law. He judges, rules and enforces the Laws of Nature with unwavering fierceness. Only dharma can win over Yama. His judgement is based on your actions and service in this life.
In the waxing cycle to come, you will be asked to let something die. Yama will ask you to rebirth, transform and start anew. You will not be able to do this without letting something go. This process of release will be more painful if you resist or refuse the release taking place. Accept the transformation and allow the changes to arrive.
This is a powerful time to declare your powerful intentions for your dharmic path and purpose. Upgrade your actions, choices and behaviors in order to get new, more life supporting results. Clear old, mental programing and thought patterns keeping you stuck in lack and fear. The current transits are supporting an ego-identity shift and the release of very old, ancient structures. Your ability to achieve a positive shift will be determined by your willingness to show up and do the necessary work. Yama's offerings take effort, clarity, focus and a fierce focus on one's service to humanity.
Mercury moves out of debilitation and through the tricky gandanta of Ashwini nakshatra just before the New Moon on May 4th. Mercury has been debilitated in Pisces on and off since the end of February. This has caused immense challenges with finances, creativity, imagination, communication and the mental body. If you are under the influence of Mercury, this cycle has likely been particularly challenging.
Mercury moves to Aries on May 3rd, completing a year long transit around the zodiac. As this cycle closes, he crosses the threshold between Pisces (water) and Aries (fire), going through intense purification in the process. A cycle has closed. Endings and release are taking place. Make this finale conscious.
There is a new beginning taking place with all things Mercury so make it intentional. What needs to be released, closed, grieved? What parts of the mind need your attention in order to start anew? Clean up the mental body and repattern old stories. Your mind and it's outdated programming need an upgrade. And so does your money.
As Mercury enters Aries, he joins exalted Sun here for two weeks until Sun moves to Taurus. This combination can bring immense clarity, focus and determination. Set goals and achieve them. Clarify your direction, take action steps that align you with your passions and purpose. Don't miss this energy, but avoid burnout as well.
The most auspicious day of the year is May 7th, Akshaya Tritiya. Both Sun and Moon will be exalted. It is said that only positive outcomes can emerge on this day, that there can be no harm. All actions will be fruitful and yield positive results. Luck, success and powerful results occur when you align with the strength of this day. Plan accordingly. This is a powerful day to take action steps towards your biggest desires. Nature will be ready to support you!

1) Answer these questions in your journal:
What am I opening to?
What am I closing to?
2) Use craypas, paints, pencils or collage, to create your images.
Create one image for Opening and another for Closing. What does this opening feel like for you? What does this closing feel like? What colors, shapes, textures arrive? Put this on paper. Create images that express the feeling of opening to and closing, using colors, textures and shapes. Allow at least 20 minutes at for these image to emerge. Title your images.
3) Movement exploration.
With your images in front of you, take 5 to 10 minutes to move each image. How does your body respond to your opening image? Your closing image? Let your body move in response to the colors, textures, shapes and feelings provoked through your image.
As you come to a pause, closing your exploration process, answer these questions:

The April full Moon arrives early on the 19th while Moon is transiting Libra and Chitra nakshatra. At 05:12 am the Moon is full of light and at capacity. Coinciding with this full Moon is Hanuman Jayanti, celebrated birth date of the powerful and beloved monkey god. This is an important cycle to find more balance, integration, and make your visions a reality. Sun is exalted in Aries and Venus remains exalted in Pisces as well. Activate, align and receive! Clarify and focus your aim and direction. Be proactive and get results.
Chitra nakshatra is ruled by Vishvakarma, god of action, building and creating. He is considered the celestial architect as he created and built the zodiac. He is a powerful ally for supporting your visions, dreams and desires as he helps them materialize and come into form through your action steps. He is not lazy and does not give results to those who are not actively working towards their goals and desires. Vishvakarma is action oriented and very focused on receiving the fruits of his labors. It's time to put plans into action.
Are you actively moving towards your goals and desires at this time? Are you being proactive and taking conscious steps towards your dharmic path and purpose?
The April full Moon takes place with Hanuman Jayanti, celebrated birth day of Lord Hanuman, the beloved monkey god. He and his monkey army saved Sita from the wrathful demon, Ravana, and brought her home safely to Ayodhya and Lord Raam. Hanuman is a Rudra- meaning he has immense strength, power and sheer force available to him. This strength was given to him by Vayu, the wind god- father to both Bhima and Hanuman. Hanuman reminds us of righteous action and that we must use our power and strength for conquering evil and restoring balance- while always upholding dharma. His devotion to Lord Rama expresses deep bhakti, and the power of leading with the heart. Your true strength is your heart wisdom.
Navaratri has ended now. This is the time of year when Sun completes a year long cycle around the zodiac and activates a brand new solar cycle. Sun entered Aries on Sunday, April 14th, arriving in Ashwini nakshatra and his sign of exaltation. The Sun is the center of our solar system. He rules over the light cycles and natural rhythms. He brings the dawn, the day, the growth that comes from his life light. As Sun enters his most powerful placement of the zodiac, a fresh start and powerful beginning takes place. This Sun transit activates a new year in the Vedic calendar and the immense power of the Sun offers a surge of new energy and strength. This is a wonderful time to cleanse the body, mind and spirit. Clean, clear and purge the heaviness of the past year and clear away the undigested emotions lingering. Create space for the new and burn away the excess. Clean up your diet, take time to rejuvenate, and clarify your focus and direction in life.
Just after the Sun exalts in Aries, we get the power of yet another exalted planet. Venus moves to Pisces on April 15th, joining debilitated Mercury here. Fortunately these two planets are friendly to each other, however, their opposing strengths will express extremes. Mercury is turning inward in his least favorite sign, while Venus expresses her energy externally at maximum capacity. This is an interesting juxtaposition for creativity, romance, the feminine, beauty, art, love, harmony and finances. Watch for excess, over indulgences and extremes with these areas of your life.
Use the coming month to get clear, refocus your priorities and clarify your dharmic path. Set goals, honor your intentions and align your actions with more purpose. Simultaneously find more balance, creativity and nourishment in your life. Find the joy and say yes to more pleasure.
With the potential for expansion also comes the challenges of two retrograde planets who are asking us to re-visit some very old ground. The coming cycle brings shifts with Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter has been retrograde since April 10th and will re-enter Scorpio on April 23rd. Saturn will also go retrograde on April 30th for a lengthy return through Sagittarius. Saturn and Ketu continue to move into close conjunction, preparing for a collision. This is a long cycle of heavy Saturn forcing us to return to grief that has been undigested and undervalued. Pay attention.
These transits create challenges with old, established structures and foundations as well as support, guidance and wisdom. We are all living on shaky ground right now. Strengthening your support team and gathering more resources is vital. The area of life that is getting restructured will depend on where Sagittarius lives in your jyotish chart. Expect the unexpected in this area of your life.
Read more about Ketu in Sagittarius.
I think it's important to acknowledge that the entire world is going through massive structural changes that can feel unsettling and painful. Increased compassion is necessary for all, as well as diligence with grief work and inner transformation. This is in important time to have an emergency plan in place and not be foolish with actions and choices. Less is more.
As Jupiter moves back through Scorpio, he is asking you to revisit your shadows, illusions and vulnerabilities. There is important clean up to do in the area of your life where Scorpio lives in your jyotish chart. Jupiter represents wisdom, guidance, teachers and spiritual resources. Gather more of what you need to navigate this process of release. You will be asked to dive even deeper into your unconscious terrain and release patterns, blockages and behaviors that are very old. You will need more support for this process so don't try to do it alone. Gather what you need and be proactive.
There are challenges and resources with the current transits. Honor the waves and be diligent with clearing and releasing. Ask for more but be realistic about the steps that need to be taken in order to achieve the results you want. Strengthen the holding and support you have in your life and don't walk alone.

If you could find your power living in your body, where would it be? What part of your body do you feel your power? What does it feel like? Are there any colors, images, shapes with this power in your body? If it had a sound, what would it sound like? Ask this power in your body to share a message with you. What does it say?
2) Open your eyes and take your body harvest into an image. Create an image of this power in your body. Use craypas, paints, collage or any other medium that inspires you. Create an image of this feeling of power in your body, using colors, images and shapes. Spend 20 minutes on this image and then give it a title.
3) Look at your image and notice what it tells you. If this power image could share a message with you, what would it say? Let it respond to these statements: I am, I want, I need.
4) Super charge your inner power. Use my Tapping Meditation for increasing your power and activate your steps!

April begins with a poignant new Moon that also opens the nine day and night celebration of the Divine Feminine, Navaratri. This is an important time in the Vedic Calendar that acknowledges the awakening taking place in Nature. Shakti is increasing and the power of the Divine Mothers is enlivening. It is a turning point, a transition- ripe with potential and possibility. Use this time wisely to start creating, growing, and stretching yourself in new ways. The Divine Feminine is with you!
The new Moon occurs early on Friday, April 5th at 02:51 am MT while Moon is transiting Pisces and Revati nakshatra. Moon is at the edge of the zodiac, asking you to find closure, release and create a finale with the last cycle. Attending to grief, loss and hidden emotions will be important at this time. Be willing to look at your shadow and lift the stones of illusion keeping you stuck in the darkenss. Doors are closing. Are you honoring the process of letting go properly? Are you making space for the new? At the same time immense potential is available. Be intentional with what you are creating.
Revati nakshatra is the last constellation of the zodiac. Its ruling deity, Pushan, helps make travels prosperous and nourishing. He supports the path and allows receiving, abundance, and offers resources for greater support and guidance. As an Aditya, he is a provider of prosperity on the material plane of existence. He helps those that are lost find their purpose and he will redirect you towards your path. He is the shepherd that finds the lost sheep and brings them back to the herd. He protects and nourishes all paths and will help you find the hidden treasures on the journey. Honor his wisdom and acknowledge his support for your path. He especially likes to be fed easily digestible foods like porridge. Bring some to your altar and ask for his blessings during the new Moon.
This new Moon is an opening- awakening the power of the Divine Feminine and the nourishment of Navaratri. As the new Moon arrives, Navaratri begins. This year spring Navaratri (for the Northern Hemisphere) begins April 5th and completes on April 13th with Ram Navami, the celebrated birth day of Lord Ram.
The Navaratri celebration is an expression of what is taking place within Nature, through the Laws that govern Nature, marking an important transition within us and around us. Align with Nature and Her powerful energy of change and transformation during Navaratri. Ritualize your connections with Nature and the ancestors- in order to land more closely to your own inner wisdom, to Her wisdom. Strengthen your connection to self and Spirit.
Navaratri is a poignant time in the Vedic Calendar. This ancient calendar is one that is dedicated to Nature and her cycles and rhythms, the planets, and most importantly the Moon. In the Vedic Calendar, time is connected to what Nature and the cosmos are doing as these elements are intimately related. The main Navaratri celebrations occur twice a year- in the "gap" seasons of spring and fall. These times are considered sandhi times; delicate times that feel like you are neither here, nor there. We might call it the netherworld. This time, though delicate, is considered sacred.
Use this time to nurture the seeds of your creations and desires. Activate and align with your dharmic path. Take steps that move you closer to your nourishment and inner wisdom. Connect with your ancestors and Spirit in intimate ways. Think big and allow your transformation to take place. Where are you settling and resisting change?
The Divine Mothers are supporting your growth and transformation process. Nature is awakening her wisdom- within you and your life. Are you allowing this change process to take place? Are you actively engaging and participating in this awakening process? Don't keep sleeping. It's time to wake up!

April promises extremes as Jupiter makes his funky dance through Sagittarius. Most of April Jupiter transits Mula nakshatra, ruled by the goddess of Adharma. She is notorious for creating unnecessary chaos and uprooting. Jupiter conjuncts Saturn and Ketu in this process which causes even more extremes and even more restructuring.
At the same time, we are still getting used to Ketu and Rahu in new signs. Our shadows have moved and we are seeing ourselves and others in very different ways. Read More Here
Midway through the month, Sun begins a brand new cycle through the zodiac, arriving in his exaltation sign, Aries, on April 14th. Venus also exalts this month on the 15th, increasing the possibility of excess with water and indulgences. Stay on path and don't fall off. Keep goals in sight and actively move towards them.
To top it all off, both Jupiter and Saturn retrograde, promising some powerful returns, stops and starts.
There are highs and lows with this month and this is your reminder to stay as grounded as possible. Keep life extremely simple- even though temptations for over-indulgence and excess may be pressuring you otherwise. Gather the resources, support and guidance you need to weather the extremes.
During Navaratri, the veil between the Spirit world and the Material world is thin. This is a powerful time to access the wisdom of Nature and the gifts of the ancestors. Be intentional with how you use your time, energy and creativity in the coming sacred nine days and nights. Spend time with your ancestors and use ritual to support this connection. Stay close to your body, breath and inner wisdom.
This is an important time to create your vision and transform it into reality. Use this sacred celebration to clear, release, purge and let go of grief, limiting beliefs, blockages and shadows that are keeping you stuck. It's time to lighten up the path and declare your purpose!
Use these resources to align with your ancestors and strengthen your connection to Spirit.
1) Here are six ways to feed the ancestors and create a deeper relationship with them through ritual.
2) Use my Ancestor Podcast to deepen your relationship with the ancestors and Spirit. Discover their messages and the ways they are supporting you.
I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!
Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?!

The March Full Moon occurs on the 20th at 19:42 MDT while Moon transits Uttaraphalguni and sidereal Virgo. This Full Moon coincides with the Vedic fertility festival of Holi, enlivening vitality, life force energy and creativity.
Uttaraphalguni is a constellation that correlates to the ancestors. It gives powerful, creative life force energy and resources that support and sustain lineage. Aryaman rules this portion of the sky, offering resources like love, marriage, family, children, and that which perpetuates the ancestral line. Life force energy is enlivened here, which brings to life ones desires and helps them arrive into manifest form. What seeds are you planting right now?
Rahu and Ketu have now changed signs for the next 1.5 years, causing massive shifts in our karma.
The Vedic celebration of Holi, often roughly coincides with the vernal equinox and the arrival of spring (for the Northern Hemisphere and fall for the Southern Hemisphere). The Equinox arrives on March 20th this year with Holi the next day. Holi is a Vedic fertility celebration which sparks immense creative life force energy. Potential, possibility and creative power are enlivening. Step into your Divine Feminine power! Ask your ancestors to guide you with the process of creating and manifesting your desires.
"On the equinox, night and day are nearly the same length – 12 hours – all over the world. This is the reason it's called an “equinox”, derived from Latin, meaning “equal night.” However, in reality, equinoxes don't have exactly 12 hours of daylight. Earth's axis is tilted at an angle of about 23.4° in relation to the ecliptic plane, the imaginary plane created by the Earth's path around the Sun. On any other day of the year, either the Southern Hemisphere or the Northern Hemisphere tilts a little towards the Sun. But on the two equinoxes, the tilt of the Earth's axis is perpendicular to the Sun's rays."
- Time and Date
No matter the hemisphere you are in, both spring and fall are considered "sandhi" times of year- or in between seasons. These are sacred times, when the veil is thin and sensitivity is heightened. From an Ayurvedic perspective, we attend to necessary physical rituals that help the body cleanse and purify. Holi comes at this sacred junction and is a time to "plant seeds" so to speak. It is a celebration of fertility, abundance and the awakening of Shakti within Nature. The full enlivening of the Divine Feminine, is celebrated during Vasant Navaratri- the nine days of Mother Divine- which begins on April 4th this year. Consider Holi the "kick off" celebration. Use this time to plant your seeds of desire. Honor the sense of spring and possibility, hope and awakening.
Deep transformation and turmoil are taking place with this full Moon and in the cycle to come. This waning cycle offers more focus and precision. A new clarity is emerging, but you must create it. Pull up the weeds crowding your vision and uproot the parts of yourself that are holding you back from greater empowerment. You may have confusion about your power and purpose, but use this time to create a clear path and remove the rubble. Let go of the parts of yourself that hinder you from stepping into your power more fully.
Dream big! Allow yourself to expand what you think is possible for yourself. Where are you limiting yourself? What stories have you been telling yourself that keep you stuck and playing small? What is holding you back from full manifestation of your goals, dreams and desires?
The mental body stories stuck on repeat in your unconscious mind, must be brought to the light, released and transformed- in order for you to step into a more powerful future. Cut, clear and delete the stories that are keeping you from powerful action steps.
Gains come when you radically release the addiction to scarcity consciousness and lack. You deserve more nourishment. Clear away the parts of yourself that don't yet feel deserving or capable of greater power. How long has this painful story been on repeat? How long will you keep playing it?
Use the cycle ahead to get radical, clear, focused and determined. Confront your goals head on. What is in your way of accomplishment and greater power? Uproot the old weeds in your mind and plant new seeds of life and nourishment. Get creative! Expand the possibilities you see for yourself- but keep it simple. There is something within you that needs to be healed and released so you are free to move forward. Pay attention to your heart wisdom for insights.
My Creative Rituals are intended to support your transformation and healing process in the cycle to come. Each ritual is in alignment with the cosmic tides- in order to help you adjust, shift and move more fluidly in balance with Nature's rhythms. Recycle this ritual more than once for added benefits.
Similar to exalted planets in that they are "full" and can't be "added to", a Full Moon (or Purnima) means that it is full to capacity, there is no more room for it to expand and grow; it is complete. In this way, we can interpret the Full Moon as a "New Moon" in that it marks the beginning of a new cycle of emptying itself and refilling itself (mirroring our internal process).
Beginning a lunar month at the Purnima is called Suklanta and differs from starting the count from the New Moon (Amavasya) which is the point when the Moon is empty and is waiting to be filled by the Sun.
Purnima is in the middle of the Lakshmi phase of the Moon cycle whereas Amavasya is the moment during the cycle where Kali and Durga meet. Clearly, the energy is quite different; mirrored in our internal experience as well.
These different methods of starting the lunar calendar remind me of the saying "is your glass half empty or half full?!" When do we start our "New Moon" calendar and begin our new lunar month? When we are full and satisfied or when we are empty and needing to be nourished? It is with this question in mind that I came up with this week's Creative Engagement Activity. Read more about the importance of the Moon.
Often for a New Moon or a Full Moon, I like to work with the image of a mandala. Mandalas help us to create and express fullness, to fill empty space, to work with what is. Mandalas are a container, filled, with our visions, creativity and desire- much like a metaphor for life.
1) With this idea of "creating within a container" as well as half the image of full/empty, I invite you to draw two large circle shapes on a piece of paper. Cover up one of the circles with a sheet of paper while you create within the other.
2) The theme for this first circle is "being filled". Fill in the first circle with what you desire for the cycle to come. What do you want to be filled with?
3) When you feel complete with the first circle, look at both circles on your paper. One is "full" and one is "empty". What thoughts come to you? What feelings?
Then answer these statements under your first circle:
I am, I want, I need
4) Next, begin working on the second circle. The theme for this circle is "being emptied". What are you releasing and letting go of as you move into the cycle to come?
5) When you feel complete, write a few notes down. What do you notice as you look at the entire piece? What thoughts come to you? What feelings?
Then answer these statements under your first circle:
I am, I want, I need
6) Finally, harvest your thoughts on this process. Circle ten words that leap out at you from the writing you've done. Form these words into a three to five line poem. (Adding extra words is ok).
Share your poem below!
* Extra credit for dancing (embodying) your images and poem at some point this week.

Shivaratri arrives this year on March 4th just before the new Moon (Amavasya) on March 6th. This is a time of deep silence and strong potential. It is the marriage celebration of Shiva and Shakti, a symbolic union of wholeness- when the absolute unmanifest, conjoins with the pulse of life force energy. Masculine and feminine merge and create life- and the ability to manifest becomes amplified. From this place of union, we can ignite the power of being, the power of life.
Transformations abound right now- inner and outer. Are you paying attention to polarities in your life? What dualities are you aware of and what is needed for their integration?
This is a powerful time for meditation and reciting the Mrityunjaya Mantra:
oṁ tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam ǀurvārukam-iva bandhanān mṛtyormukṣīya māmṛtāt ǁ
Shivaratri supports planting seeds of potential through the depth of silence. Shiva as destroyer, is at one with this awakened state of creativity. His role is to support your collapse into concentrated, focused alignment with the harmony of existence- that which is pure consciousness, deep, unaltered silence and awakening. This is where your creativity resides, your ability to manifest, create and transform- over and over again. Through the transcendence, you can easily touch this silence in its pure form.
Shiva reminds us to use this silence to release, simplify and transform. From a silent and awakened state, you can plant the seeds of life more intentionally and powerfully. Use your deep inner silence for stirring your creative desires.
Next, the fertility festival of Holi, will activate your silent seeds, helping them become more fully awakened with the creative wisdom of Nature. What are you creating for your powerful life? What is your vision? Let your imagination move you into being. Create life!
The March new Moon takes place at 09:04 am MT while transiting Aquarius and Purvabhadra nakshatra. This is the realm of the sky ruled by Ajaikapada, a form of Shiva standing on one foot. There is a strong need for balance and integration of opposing forces in this domain. Two realms are represented- both material and spiritual. The power of Rudra and the creative strength of Vishvakarma express themselves in this nakshatra. Restraint and tapas are necessary, while simultaneously great material wealth is possible.
This constellations offers a foot in both worlds and those born with this constellation often have success with both the spiritual and material realms. Balancing the impossible is in fact possible under this constellation, though great strength is required. The symbol of this nakshatra is a burning funeral cot. Endings and release are taking place. Purification and death support deeper understandings of life and bring greater awareness to the wholeness of existence.
In this waxing cycle, your strength will be required in order to balance opposing forces, integrate polarities, and harmonize inner conflicts. Dark and light require your equal attention. Are you holding both- shadow and light- equally? Material progress is possible in the days ahead, but attend to spiritual matters for deeper purpose. Burn away the excess and simplify all areas of your life. It's time to purify and release what has been feeling heavy and burdensome. It takes much less energy to be in right relationship with all parts of ourselves- rather than resist and avoid. Hold both your darkness and your light, honor all of your being.
This is why your shadow is so important.
As we enter this new lunar cycle, multiple changes are taking place in the cosmos. Mercury is debilitated in Pisces and goes retrograde on the 5th. Rahu and Ketu change signs for the next 1.5 years on March 7th, causing upheaval, change and new levels of resistance. The relationship with our karma is shifting and will bring vastly different results in the months ahead. Jupiter is at the edge of Scorpio right now, preparing for his unusual dance into Sagittarius before he retrogrades until this fall.
Listen to my FB Live Class for more about the life changing transit of Rahu and Ketu.
We are straddling the edge of major change and life may feel uncertain, vulnerable and tumultuous in the days ahead. Keep life as simple as possible and prune away any excess. Clean your life up and stop over-doing, over-giving, and over-being. Challenges will surface where we are being unconscious. Less is more.
Use this Creative Ritual for supporting integrating and harmonizing your polarities:
1) Identify the polarities at play within you and your life. Make two distinct lists. What are the challenges that you face right now? What is not working right now in your life? What are the resources in your life right now? What is working well for you right now?
Name each category and see if you can identify the theme of each polarity that is arriving.
2) Create two images. One image is your challenge image. The other image is your resource image. Spend 10-20 minutes creating each image. Use craypas, paints, pens, collage or any medium that speaks to you. Title each image separately. Then ask each image to give you their message.
If this image could speak, what would it say to you?
3) Harvest from each image. Answer these questions for each image separately.
I am, I want, I need
I sense, I feel, I Imagine, I express
What have you harvested from this process? What does each part of you say? What does each part of you need?
Deepen this process by using my Tapping Meditation for integrating polarities

On the 19th of February at 08:53 am MT, a full Moon in Leo and Magha nakshatra arrives, offering big waves and ancestral support. Wisdom and spiritual insights for your path are present. Use this time to create a connection with Spirit and avoid the material concerns of the ego. This is an important time to strengthen your relationship with your ancestors and realign with your dharmic path. Remember that the ancestors want your dharmic success. They are here to support you in achieving the healing and transformation possible for you and your lineage. Clarify your purpose and recommit to your steps.
Magha nakshatra is ruled by Pitr, which means ancestors (particularly the father's lineage) and falls within the first portion of the sign Leo. It is considered a gandanta, of which there are three of in the zodiac. Each gandanta creates uprooting on the psycho-emotional body level- so we know that these junction points bring change and transformation with them. Magha gives results with our relationship to power, purpose and the ego identity. This constellation correlates to inner and outer authority, as well as both individual and ancestral karma. Those born with this constellation in their natal charts usually have a great deal of ancestral karma to unpack in this lifetime- particularly with the father. Magha reminds us to align with dharma, purpose, power, and clear our ancestral karma.
This full Moon signifies an immense change with our inner power. There is a break in past karma taking place. Are you paying attention to the release of your shadow, or are you consumed with the challenges and overwhelm? Use this time to consciously clear and release negativity, burdens, toxicity and anything that is disempowering you. Focus on the direction you want to go and clarify the results you want to achieve. Make goals and be vigilant with your actions and choices. Do they support your focus and direction, or distract you and derail you?
Remember that you have enormous power and potential. You have a purpose and many gifts that are needed in this world. Your wisdom, insights and light are a vital resource for reminding others to shine brightly. Stay close to your light and commit to shining even brighter. Temper the ego, but stay close to your truth and wholeness- shadow and light. Look for sudden flashes of insight and awareness around the time of the full Moon. Clarify your vision and release the shadows obstructing your view.
From Aquarius, Sun and Mercury look at the Moon during this full Moon, creating mental clarity and focus. Use this to write down your goals and intentions for the coming cycle. In Sagittarius, Venus and Saturn are in tight conjunction until February 24th when Venus moves to Capricorn. Venus and Saturn are asking us to simplify our relationships, money and life force energy. Saturn will not support anything but simplicity, slow and steady steps, as well as methodical and consistent effort. When Saturn and Venus collide, a structure is given to the flow of watery Venus. Your job is to clarify the pathway and clear the rubble in the way of the flow. Where are you making things more difficult than they need to be? Relationships, money and health need more simplicity and structure.
Sun has moved to Aquarius for the coming month- as of February 13th. Sun joins Mercury here until the 25th so expect a sharp mind in the coming weeks. Saturn gives his gaze, asking for slow, methodical behavior. Expect innovation and entrepreneurial insights in this transit. Think outside the box and focus your light on seeing all sides. Duality and differences emerge. How do you honor all the needs arriving?
Aquarius requests structure and tradition, as well as different and unusual choices. This sign reminds us there are two sides to every coin. Can we find the wholeness? How do we attend to the integration and unification of opposing forces? Spend time this month integrating the duality within you and your personal mythology. Shine the light on binary patterns and behaviors. What parts of you need more harmony and unity?
Wherever there are two opposing forces, we find conflict. Now is an ideal time to create peace within. Attend to shadow parts and lean closer to your darkness. Let the light show you the way. Hold both equally and honor your full body intelligence.
Notice where Aquarius is in your Jyotish chart. What themes will be illuminated as Sun enters this part of your chart?!
Don't Forget that we have a major transit on the horizon!
Rahu and Ketu are getting ready to change signs on March 7th. Rahu will move to Gemini and Ketu will move to Sagittarius. Both will be exalted for the next 1.5 years- meaning the karmic nodes will be expressing themselves at maximum capacity. Ketu will also be conjunct Saturn for the coming year, breaking up stagnant grief and forcing restructuring in our lives in some very dramatic ways.
To assess the impact of this transit, look at your jyotish chart. Where is Sagittarius in your chart? This is where Ketu will be cutting the ties that bind you and forcing release. What themes are present here?
Look at Gemini in your chart. This is where Rahu will be transiting and forcing you to look more closely. He will be asking you to attend to the shadows and illusions in this realm of your life.
Likely you are already feeling these shifts taking place. In advance of a major transit like this, the effects are often felt weeks and months ahead of time. What themes are surfacing already?
Pay attention to the karmic shifts taking place in your life and body. This is a good time to get yagyas done for extra support. I'll be sharing more in an upcoming article about this powerful transition ahead.
Not sure how this major transit will impact you? Reach out to me for more support and clarity: firstname.lastname@example.org
Recommit to your Goals!
Re-evaluate and clarify your action steps.
What would it look like to be the leader of your life? What needs to change? What feels in alignment already?
Where do you want to be six months from now?!
Step 1: Write down your vision. Journal it into your full awareness.
Step 2: Create your vision. Draw, paint or collage your vision into form. Give it a title.
Step 3: Harvest your vision. If your image could speak to you, what would it say?!
Step 4: Make your vision a reality. What steps need to take place for your vision to become a reality six months from now?! What action step can you take today?!
Ready for More?!
5 Ways to Step Into Your Power Right now:
1) The point of power is in the now, this moment right now.
You won't truly know the power of this moment without establishing a deeper sense of Self awareness. What is arriving right now within your inner landscape? What do you need right now in order to deepen your sense of reconnection? Do a Self audit. Self track every day.
2) Loosen the grip of triggers and painful stories.
Move the mind and emotions and don't let them get stuck in your unconscious mind. Use my Tapping Meditation to take back your power, get embodied and hear the wisdom of your inner knowing.
3) Track the planets and know what's impacting you right now.
A deeper Self awareness comes from understanding the influences upon you. Then you can properly resource yourself. Knowing how the planets are impacting your mind, body and emotions, is a powerful step in bringing light (jyoti) to your conscious awareness. Jyotish prevents unnecessary suffering and helps you align with right action and choices. Track the planets daily, weekly, and monthly.
4) Study the layers of your inner wisdom. Know thyself.
Your jyotish chart is the most potent resource of identification and self exploration you will ever receive. It is the map of your soul, shows you your life purpose, your reason for being alive. The short cut to understanding who you are and why you are alive, can be found through studying your jyotish chart. All the wisdom you need for greater, clarity and ease is written within your cosmic map. Deepen your jyotish studies and awaken your inner knowing with this.
5) Commit to your self growth and say yes to new resources and guidance.
Consistent guidance and support makes the difference between success and failure in this life. You can't get new results when you continue to do the same thing and make the same choices. Lasting sustainable change comes when you start changing old patterns and stop repeating old behaviors. Big life changes occur when you get ongoing guidance and support, new resources and tools for success. Email me to sign up for a free dharma coaching session: Swatijrjyotish@gmail.com
