Multiple clients have contacted me for emergency sessions.
I always know this means people are feeling what I'm feeling- the intensity of the transits. Sure, we got through four retrograde planets this past month. Yes, we've had a breather in some ways as Sun and Venus have separated momentarily. And honestly, life started to feel a forward shift last week when Jupiter went direct. But the reality is, we aren't in the clear. In fact, things are just heating up. I always try to be a truthful, yet optimistic astrologer- because the rest of me is a healer and coach who knows there's free will involved. Besides, there's enough negativity out there! During even the most challenging transits, I always see the gifts, positives and opportunities for growth and transformation. My guru always said "speak the sweet truth" and I honor this intention. So let me lay out the facts for you. But know that the only reason for this reality check is so you can use the difficulties you are experiencing in order to deepen your healing process. Honestly, what else is the point? Why read about horrific transits and not use that information to create lasting, inner change? When transits intensify and cause challenges, it's time to be more stringent with self care and reaching out for support. I encourage my clients to build a team of support around them. This means gather new resources, connect with guides, healers and therapists- while also getting extra rest and grounding through embodiment practices. Transit #1 First of all, Jupiter is direct, yes. But now he's moving towards Rahu, not away from him, as a result. They are in tight conjunction currently and will be moving into exact conjunction at the end of June. This means your "god self" and "demon self" are having a face off. Conflicts abound with light vs. dark energy! Expect challenges between spiritual needs and human needs. Not a comfortable dynamic for most. Make sure you don't miss my transit reports and updates. Get A Membership Transit #2 Venus and Sun will also be in tight conjunction in Taurus the majority of June. These planets war fiercely- as the Sun is fire (masculine), while Venus is water (feminine). Two elements that oppose each other. The conflict between these polarities will effect relationships, money, creativity, nourishment, comfort and health/vitality especially. Expect discomfort in these areas of your life. Notice where masculine and feminine energies are misaligned. Transit #3 Late June, Mars will finally step back into Libra, separating from Saturn until mid July. There will be a short breather from their intense dance of stop and start, yes and no, old and young, fast and slow. These polarities are currently effecting everyone's ability to take powerful action steps and gain momentum. There is a strong need to look at very unconscious self sabotage behavior as a result of this transit- since both planets are moving through Scorpio, the territory of the hidden parts of ourselves. Frustrations, challenges and resistance are all signs you are stuck this polarity battle. Transit # 4 The icing on the cake is a full Moon this weekend in Moon's debilitation sign. Moon will be transiting Anuradha nakshatra at the time of the full Moon, which stirs precision, focus and regeneration for the cycle to come. This is a mild, tender and soft constellation, which will deepen the introspection and inward focus of the full Moon energy. Expect a waning Moon cycle that takes you deeper than you thought possible. Have a life preserver ready if you aren't schooled in the ways of Scorpio and the 8th house! Make sure you don't miss my full Moon wisdom. Get A Membership These planetary challenges are gripping everyone in different ways, depending on the natal karma you are working with. But remember, even in the darkest of times, there is light. If you are struggling, please know you do not have to do this alone. You likely are experiencing deep growth and you just need new resources and support to help you integrate and move through the changes. I'm here to help you see your inner light and to start shining more brightly. I believe in you and your success. I believe in your creative power and your ability to thrive. I am here to help you expand what you think is possible for yourself. Swati* PS: I hope you'll join me for my *free* Full Moon Creative Ritual class this Sunday, May 22nd. We'll be discussing the debilitated full Moon + I'll be sharing resources to support you during these challenging transits. Join the Class List

Whatever you're calling into your life- wanting, desiring, creating- there are guaranteed obstacles in your way. This may sound pessimistic, but the simple truth is, if there weren't obstacles keeping you from having what you want, what you desire, you'd already have your goal accomplished.
These obstacles and challenges that are keeping you away from your desired goal or outcome are necessary change agents- if you know how to work with them directly. I often speak about being grateful for challenges and obstacles for this very reason. If you didn't have these challenges, you wouldn't grow very much in this lifetime. That said, too often people do not know how to work with their challenges effectively. They don't continue to gather new resources, they don't reach out for guidance and support, and they don't keep up the consistent work it takes for sustainable results. Getting a new resource here and there, some guidance and support periodically, but not taking consistent, daily measures to create inner change, will not get you the outcome you desire. And certainly not quickly. There are many reasons people don't take consistent, effective action steps for creating life change. Reasons why people don't change, why life never gets better, smoother, more harmonious and nourishing. The most common factors are resistance, avoidance, self sabotage, chaos addiction, high pain tolerance (usually connected to pain addiction). The reality is that life could be radically different tomorrow, just by making different choices today. We all have this option. I find it curious why so often we don't. Why so many people keep choosing ill health, bad relationships, being poor, malnourishment, disempowered, etc. over and over and over again. Why stay in the lack? When these stories can change? I am fascinated by the process of creating life change, and what the factors are that necessitate the change process. Truthfully, every human being on the planet is a powerful creator. Each of us is here to create the most powerful life we can imagine. And yet the grande majority of humans do not. They choose not to live their full potential- or even a small percentage of it. I've never been satisfied with this story, when I know that every human is capable of so much more! Herein lies the biggest part of the change process: potential. It's here. Like a seed. It just needs the right conditions in order for the growth process to take place. That's where you come in. That's where your seed tending requires willingness and diligence. Each one of us gets to decide what types of seeds we choose to grow- more weeds or something more brilliant, more fruitful. As the theory of epigenetics states- conditions, choices, environment and behavior have more to do with a person's life experiences, than genetics. Quite simply, it's your choices that determine what genes are turned on and which ones are turned off. What you choose to turn on and off is solely determined by your choices. This is the free will expressed in your jyotish chart. The reason why a chart expresses the karmas you've arrived with (that which can't be changed), yet the rest is an expression of tendencies, not precise outcomes. Thankfully, you can change much of your chart, your karmas, and create very different results for yourself. I am passionate about helping my clients see the possibilities they have karmically and supporting their change process. After all, being alive in a human body means there is potential for growth, evolution, change, awareness and expansion of consciousness. Why be here on the planet if you have no ability to change your life circumstances? I continue to study the change process, which in my eyes is the healing process. Healing is not a linear process, neither is change. The resources I use for creating change, support the Four Pathways of Healing, in order for well-rounded, fully integrated healing to take place. But all healing starts with identification. Which is why I love jyotish so much. It is the ideal resource for identifying blockages, challenges, obstacles. Remember these factors are the change agents that support your healing process. This is truly step number one. Every challenge, obstacle or struggle in your way to changing, is a result of inner conflict- polarities that are not in harmony with each other. The outcome you desire would easily arrive, if it weren't for this inner battle. The reality is that part of you wants to change, while another part of you does not. It's vital to identify these two parts of yourself in order to heal and transform. If you're serious about creating inner harmony, yoga, within all four bodies, please join me for my new Jyotish Astrology Course for Transformation and Healing. I'm still accepting a few more students into the group but you must register before April 30th. Email Me For Details: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com So what's the fast path to healing, transforming and creating change? Here are my six steps for creating lasting change and diffusing inner conflict: 1) Acknowledge and Identify What's Not Working. What challenge, obstacle or struggle are you facing? What level of your being is this obstacle manifesting on? Physical, Mental, Emotional, or Spiritual? Perhaps one or more levels of your being is being effected. Take note of where and how this challenge is emerging within you. This is the first step to creating change. Using your jyotish chart to clarify how these challenges are effecting you will support swift and lasting change. For example if you are struggling with finances and lack of money, this will be apparent in your jyotish chart- possibly through Venus or the Second House. It may be an imbalance (ie: conflict between opposing forces) that is rooted in the mental body, but effecting your physical body. 2) Identify Polarities. Once you identify what is not working, what the challenge or obstacle is, you can identify what the conflict truly is. Remember that whatever the desire, whatever you say you want to create in your life, always has another side that isn't in agreement. The conflict will always sounds something like "I want this but". Listen to the "but" because this is other side, the duality that is keeping you from creating your desire and manifesting it. Part of you wants the change. Part of you does not. You must start here in order to get somewhere else. 3) Find the Need. Now that you have identified the challenge and the opposing forces within you, it's time to acknowledge the needs that each of these parts has. Part of you wants the change, part of you does not. Listen closely to the part of you that does not want the change. This part of you is a vital messenger- the part of you that will disclose the reason for your resistance, avoidance, self sabotage, etc. Ask this part of you what it needs. "I hear you do not want this change. What do you need from me? What are you trying to tell me?" Imagine yourself asking a small child, a loved one, or perhaps a client. Let this part of you speak and share with you. 4) Honor Your Polarities. So you have these two parts. One says I want this change, the other part of you says it does not. You've asked, you've listened to this part of you that says "no" and you've heard it whisper a message to you. You're leaning in. You're listening. You're honoring. Just by listening and acknowledging, you are honoring. When you honor, you are present, holding, giving space to parts of yourself that may have never been witnessed before. Honoring means offering loving kindness, compassion and on some level, acceptance, for these parts within that may not be speaking to each other, that may have never learned how to speak to you, let alone to each other. 5) Opening to Harmony and Integration. Something begins to dissolve, loosen its grip, when it gets heard, acknowledged and spoken. When the darkness and challenges that are so often suppressed and locked away, hidden within, emerge on the surface of our being and they are honored, change can take place. As you honor your inner conflicts and their needs, a new possibility can emerge. You may even say to yourself "I am open to the possibility of finding a new way of being with these two parts of myself." As you open to new possibilities, you open the door of harmony and integration automatically. Notice how this possibility feels within you. Do you feel some softening arrive, just saying yes to possibility alone? 6) Stay Open to Possibility. As you continue to say yes to the possibility of finding a new way of being with your inner conflict, these opposing forces within you, keep allowing the possibility to arrive. Keep saying yes to the possibility of finding a new way of being with your opposing forces- the yes and the no. Acknowledge that you don't know what this looks like, what it feels like, what this means for you and your life. But simultaneously, keep saying yes to the possibility that there is a way. There is a way to find harmony and integration with your inner conflicts, with the part that says yes to change and no to change. This is a vital step in the change and transformation process. The mental body far too often "needs to know" an outcome, which can stop you from staying open and receptive to possibility and new pathways. Try to stay out of the "how" and stay in the "I'm open and receptive to a new way". 7) Finding Unity. Unifying polarities has a distinct feeling. It brings ease, release, softness and a certain gentleness with it. Often it is marked with a swelling of gratitude, love, joy and peace. The conflict dissolves and more fluidity takes its place. There is no force- just surrender to the flow of energy. Unifying polarities can take moments, or it can take days, weeks or months- depending on how effectively you are working with the layers of resistance. Continuing to arrive into the "possibility" of harmonizing your opposing forces, opens the door to creating more dialogue between these different parts of yourself. Continue to hold the different parts of your being and allow them to be witnessed, acknowledge and listened to. This is a process of learning how to love and accept all parts of yourself, which is essentially how inner unity takes place. These seven steps are greatly supported with resources, tools and modalities that create energetic shifts on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body levels. You can also use these steps directly with your tapping (EFT) process, as well as embodiment and art therapy processes. The path from challenge and conflict, to inner harmony and unity, is supported with deep listening, acceptance, allowing needs to emerge, while staying open to possibility, but staying out of the "how". Balance is achieved through a process of integrating and harmonizing inner polarities- on all four levels of your being. The true meaning of balance is unifying the opposing forces within the bodies- mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. This is the path of yoga, union, and includes the integration of masculine and feminine polarities. As you keep dipping into the unity and finding the harmony within, the energy being used to stay in battle with yourself, dissolves, releases and transforms. Suddenly this inner power unleashes your creative intelligence and you are moving swiftly towards your goals and desires- with clarity, purpose and deep inner knowing. You are a powerful force! Dissolve the inner battles and reclaim your power. Throughout the Vedic texts, there are countless tales of good forces battling evil forces, the light always overtaking the darkness. One of the most potent example of dissolving inner conflict between opposing forces, is depicted in the Bhagavad Gita. Arjuna contemplates whether to fight his family members in order to restore dharma. It is a timeless battle between polarities, duality- one that is expressed both internally and externally for Arjuna. This battle mirrors the story each one of us faces daily- as we choose to take on inner conflict, or choose to avoid it. Avoiding does not make it go away. Lord Krishna was clear to Arjuna that he must go into battle, he must address this conflict head on. This is my philosophy for healing and transformation. By using our warrior spirit, we can make great strides quickly, and restore balance, harmony and dharma- inner and outer. The Bhagavad Gita speaks of the path to yoga, to moksha or liberation using jnana (knowledge, especially through experience), bhakti (devotion on the heart level), karma (action), Raja Yoga (transcendence or samadhi), samkhya (philosophy). These are resources for awakening pathways of change and transformation. They also uphold and support change on the four levels of being- Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual. The steps I've outlined above are an expression of this inner change process, the process of resolution or inner harmony. Balance, peace and integration do not come from force or brutality, but from acceptance, acknowledgment, compassion and honoring. When all parts of our being feel safe, feel held and supported, then, and only then, can inner unity take place. I'm convinced that's all there is! As well as what emerges when two opposing forces merge and co-create. In the Expressive Art Therapy realm, we call this "the Third". Some know it as the Transcendent, or simply the emergent. The sign Gemini in fact symbolizes this creative process, as it expresses "the Third" quite literally. Not only is Gemini a number three, but in the Vedic tradition, the symbol is two lovers who co-create, bringing forth a third energy. I have been particularly interested in polarities myself because my personal jyotish chart is full of them! This began to fascinate me (or challenge me rather) many years ago when I began studying my chart. I knew there were extremes presented, and I experienced them within me, yet I didn't know how to reconcile this. Starting with a Scorpio ascendant- which truly symbolizes the transformational energy of polarities combining. I also have a powerful combination of fire and water in my chart. And we all know what happens when fire and water meet! This theme of fire and water began to emerge over and over again in my paintings and movement practice. The polarities wouldn't leave me alone! I have danced with the question of integration for years, and recently I had a break through! If you're interested in your inner harmony, read on! And join me for my new, revolutionary weekly Jyotish Astrology Group Coaching Classes just for women. Jyotish speaks to the mystery of polarities very intimately. Each sign in fact shares some level of this dance between polarities. Other parts of jyotish express polarities in different ways- whether it is through the masculine and feminine, the elements, the deities, Natural Laws, cycles, rhythms, life and death, Sun and Moon, inner realms and outer realms, etc. Because Vedic Astrology is a science based on the cosmos, it is deeply connected to cycles, rhythms and movement. When we track the cosmos, we are tracking our own inner cosmic nature. Thus, Jyotish can tell us a lot about our own dance with polarities. Even the lunar nodes, or shadow points, in your chart are polar opposites of each other, and always look directly at each other seven houses away. Not surprisingly they can tell you a lot about your inner dance with polarities and what inner conflicts you are here to harmonize and integrate in this life time. I'm convinced that this is in fact the secret to inner peace, unity, enlightenment. The non-dual, the non conflict within. What is yoga? Union! How is this achieved? Through harmonizing polarities within the body- the masculine and feminine energies, essentially. When we boil polarities down to their essence, it will always connect you back to the masculine and feminine. This is the most vital ingredient for your inner harmony. But how do you integrate these extremes? There are many methods for uniting the polarities within and the Vedic tradition is arguably the most ancient resource for this process. As with all branches of the Ved, they support the process of union, or enlightenment. My favorite resource is Vedic Astrology because it is truly a road map for one's life quest- inner and outer. Jyotish is a light source for identifying the blockages within you- Physically, Mentally, Emotionally and Spiritually. These blockages are keeping you from fully integrating your polarities. The wisdom of jyotish is an immense and powerful resource for healing and transformation. Here's what to look for in your jyotish chart: For starters, identify your rising sign, Sun and Moon signs. Notice their symbol. What does their symbol say about who you are and what you need in this life? Your rising sign will tell you how you see the world. It is the main influence of your chart because it organizes all other factors. For example, a polarity can exist if you have a water sign with your Sun sitting in it. This would be a very exact conflict between masculine and feminine energies. Individual planets may express themselves through conflict as well. Let's say your natal Moon is in a nakshatra ruled by the Sun. Or if the soft, gentle and friendly Moon is in a harsh or fierce nakshatra, this will naturally stir conflict within- especially within the emotional body. Any planet in opposition with another planet will also cause a "war" or constant battle within. Mars and Saturn for example, if conjunct, will battle over action and non action. The jyotish chart can show you quite directly where the polarities are within you. More importantly, where the conflicts are. These conflicts within are occurring on different levels of your being- Physically, Mentally, Emotionally or Spiritually. Think about when you are in an argument with someone. What happens to you- on the four levels of your being? You may feel tense, contracted, heated, stressed or all of the above. Think about your mental body being in this state constantly on some inner level of your being? Your emotional body? Physical or Spiritual bodies? Your jyotish chart can tell you where these conflicts are rooted in your being. This identification can be used as a resource to unravel the inner conflict, to harmonize or integrate the extremes within you. When any part of your body is in conflict with another part, there will be a an inability to be fully nourished, or unified. I encourage and advocate a well rounded healing process so that there is full support and awakening for the entire being- not just one part of it. I've written extensively recently about the signs of inner conflict. In fact, challenges and obstacles in life are nothing more than mirrors being held up to show you where you are not fully harmonized or integrated. Other signs are self sabotage, chaos, stress, overwhelm, etc. Challenges don't just happen! These are parts of your being asking for your attention. When the challenge manifests on the conscious or visible level, you know this is an inner conflict asking for your attention. Read my article and use my Tapping Meditation Podcast to identify inner challenges. Since the ultimate polarity always comes back to masculine and feminine, I think it's important to understand this dynamic very intimately. Working with these Laws of Nature are vital for working with these parts of yourself and others, so that you are not always pushing against the natural tendencies they offer. First, it must be noted that both masculine and feminine have their own polarities as well. There are shadow sides to both the masculine and feminine, which can often misconstrue the way we see them. Opening to Potential Tapping Meditation Use this Tapping Meditation to increase integration between masculine and feminine energies- when you feel stuck, afraid or resistant to change. Remember that we always start with "truth tapping" by expressing feelings and experiences that feel challenging. This is a vital part of the process and paves the way for transformation and healing.
In the podcast below, I share a tapping (EFT) sequence with you that will guide you through transforming and releasing the old stories and invite in more receptivity. Remember, we start with identifying the challenges, then moving into possibility and desires in order to transform our shadow into light. Use this podcast as you tap through these points: Karate chop point (side of the hand). Crown of the head. Eyebrow point (above the eye). Side of the eye. Under the eye. Under the nose. Chin point (crease of the chin). Throat point (collar bone/throat chakra). Heart point (center of chest). Stomach point (above the navel). Side body (nipple line at side of chest). Tap six to ten times on each point and just keep cycling through the points. Repeat the phrases I use aloud. Notice any thoughts, stories, memories or emotions that emerge as you tap. These are important pieces to return to, do more tapping on, as a way to clear blockages. As always, if the words I use don't work for you, change them to support your process more fully. Share your experiences below! What emerged for you in this process? Excited to hear from you! Awaken Your True Self I've shared over the past few weeks, the many challenges of the Eclipse Portal. How it intensified challenges and obstacles, the shadow, in order for deeper healing to take place within. Though the Eclipse Portal has closed, working with the shadow continues. I, like many, used the eclipse portal to meet my challenges head on. Deep, oozy grief emerged within me. Rather than pushing it away and forcing myself to "keep it together", I allowed myself to get messy. If my grief has taught me anything, it's that I need to allow the mess within me to have a voice, to speak. Through daily tapping, creative rituals, movement, rest, staying in my pajamas and laying in bed for days on end, I eventually emerged on the other side of this mess, with a new understanding of my shadow, and a deep, powerful release as well. Attending to my shadow very consciously, allowed me to clear, move and release my shadow. I was able to transform it and in the process, create space for something more powerful to flow through me- my creativity! As I let go of the layers of suppressed anger and sadness, I began to grieve a very old part of myself. Much to my surprise, this was my inner teenager! Her wild ways and strong ferocity had not been honored in many years. In fact, I had to dismiss her, negate her wisdom and intelligence for survival many years ago. I took vows to keep her locked away and hidden. Suppressing her wild, creative wisdom has cost me dearly. Her Durga-like energy is in fact my True Self, so not being fully aligned with her is a loss I can't afford. As I used my resources to transform the anger and sadness, suddenly more space was created within me. Space that allowed my creative energy to flow more dynamically. This space was created by integrating inner conflict, finding harmony between my polarities and honoring the wisdom of my wild feminine wisdom. With my inner Durga awakening, her untamed wisdom no longer in my shadow, a new burst of energy has emerged in me. One that has allowed me to align with my dharmic work more fully, more authentically. In fact, the clarity that emerged from this process, has allowed me to create an even more powerful course to support your healing and transformation process. Deepen and awaken your inner feminine wisdom with jyotish, embodiment and creativity! I'm so ecstatic to share this offering with you! Get the Details Here. I'll be sharing more resources in the coming days- during the nine day Vedic Celebration of Navaratri- to support your own transformational process and help you align with your feminine wisdom. I've also posted a new tapping meditation podcast below to support you with leaning into your feminine wisdom. As you deepen your relationship with your wild, feminine wisdom, trust your steps. The journey is not necessarily easy, or comfortable, but the results are well worth navigating the rocky terrain of your inner landscape. Pulling up old roots, in order to plant new seeds, will provide you with a rich and potent harvest. Five steps to remember as you deepen your relationship with Her: - Any obstacle or blockage can be overcome by increasing your creative intelligence. Where is your resistance to this life force energy? To the nourishment? - Aligning authentically with your True Self requires the removal of any vows you have taken (consciously or unconsciously). These vows block your creative life force energy and keep you resistant to change. Many are tribal, familial, cultural or ancestral. - Your emotions and your emotional body wisdom will show you the way. Emotional body literacy helps you identify needs and will help you find new resources for your growth. Your feelings will tell you everything! - Receptivity, being able to receive fully, is vital for increased creative flow and nourishment. Where are you resisting the flow? - Self care practices increase your receptivity, the ability to receive nourishment. Make sure you're attending to self care on all four levels of your being- Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual. Notice where there are holes in your Self Care practices. Increasing Your Receptivity Your Creative Intelligence is your wild feminine wisdom. Increase your ability to receive Shakti, life force energy, and you will increase your Creativity Intelligence naturally. What's keeping you from fully embracing all the nourishment that surrounds you? What is keeping you from receiving the abundance of Nature and Her gifts? What type of relationship do you have with your Divine Feminine wisdom? Simply put, you have blockages in the way, keeping certain channels clogged, restricted, overburdened with toxins. When your channels of receiving are restricted, the flow can't move through you fully. These blockages may be on the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual body levels- or all four pathways. Removing the blockages from all four levels of your being, is essential for maximum life force energy to be received. Navigating your inner terrain very consciously is essential for identifying these obstacles and blockages. As you identify these blockages, you can then strategically use this information to make deep, inner change. Removing blockages that hinder your life force energy is essential for more life force energy and more flow. Increased creative flow, more life force energy, will increase your ability to receive money, health, vitality, love, relationships, comforts, ideas, artistry and inner harmony. Both Moon and Venus symbolize these factors in your jyotish chart. Their placements in your natal chart will show you where there is restriction. The effects the other planets have on your Venus and Moon will either support or hinder this flow. The other planets in your chart will also show you what channels are open and which ones are blocked. This is why jyotish is such a powerful resource for healing and transformation. The trick to changing and transforming the blockages is working with your full range of being, your entire inner landscape- not just the parts that you like, or feel good. Leaning into what is not working, the obstacles and challenges, can be the most effective way to clear your pathways for increased flow. Challenges and blockages are the mirror you need to identify what needs to change. Integration is Essential for More Flow This divine Shakti flow is essential in order to deepen your relationship with creativity. Creativity brings more ideas, more imagination, more money, more health and vitality, more passion, more pleasure. More of the good stuff! If you want more of the good stuff, you have to clear the blockages keeping you from receiving more. It may seem obvious, but if you can't receive this creative nourishment, you won't be able to increase this in your life. The Divine Feminine wisdom within is your receptive energy. She is your ability to be in receiving and feel the juicy, goodness of your life. This requires that you are in harmony with your feminine energy (expansion, opening, fluidity) and your masculine energy (containment, restriction, the known). Most people (men and women) have never learned how to use masculine and feminine energy in a way that promotes balance, inner harmony and vitality- rather than depletion and chaos. When the masculine and feminine polarities are at odds with each other, this conflict will increase fear, resistance, deep inner challenge, turmoil, overwhelm, self-sabotage behaviors and intensified shadow to emerge. This inner conflict is at the root of all major dis-ease. These inner conflicts will often manifest externally as a way to help you identify the imbalances. What relationships are you in conflict with? So many of these imbalances within the masculine and feminine energies are expressed by the conflicts in the world. How do you know if your masculine and feminine energies are in conflict? Notice the parts of your self that are saying yes, when the rest of you is saying no. Some parts may be saying no, while other parts are saying yes. Remember that outer conflicts are just bright, flashing mirrors that are being held up for you to look more closely so you can identify your own inner conflicts. Who and what are you in conflict with? This battle is at play within you as well. Can you tell? Integrating polarities, healing the conflicts and finding harmony between your opposing forces is the fast track to deeper receptivity and receiving more nourishment in life. Align With Durga and Her Powerful Energy of Change and Transformation During Navaratri. Navaratri is a poignant time in the Vedic Calendar. This ancient calendar is one that is dedicated to Nature and her cycles and rhythms, the planets, and most importantly the Moon. In the Vedic Calendar, time is connected to what Nature and the cosmos are doing, and these elements are intimately related. The main Navaratri celebrations occur twice a year- in the "gap" seasons of spring and fall. These times are considered sandhi times; delicate times that feel like you are neither here, nor there. We might call it the netherworld. This time, though delicate, is considered sacred. In the spring, Navaratri marks the "waking up" of the devis or the goddesses, of Shakti; the aspects of Natural Law that enliven growth, abundance, prosperity, learning, well being, change and transformation. In the fall, Navaratri invites in destruction, removal, change, transformation and healing. The goddesses Durga, Saraswati and Lakshmi symbolize these parts of life and Nature, while also being parts of our own innate being. The three of them together represent our wholeness, the trinity of life, alive in and around us. These three goddesses also connect to Shakti, the goddess who gives the spark of life to every being, to Nature, and to existence. Fall Navaratri, or Maha Navaratri, is by far the most potent as it brings deep transformation and the ability to remove, destroy, release and transform, our darkness into light. The holy trinity of goddesses supports this process and allows us to let go of what needs to be released in order for greater nourishment. As we let go of our darkness, an increase of light and wisdom can take its place. This process is marked by Durga's powerful battle against the demon Mahishasura. On the 10th day, she destroyed him and was victorious. This day is called Vijaya Dashami (Dashami is the 10th lunar day of the Moon cycle, connected to dharma). Vasant Navaratri, or spring Navaratri, begins with the new Moon this year, on Thursday April 7th at 04:24 am PDT. Sun and Moon are in Revati nakshatra, the final star of the zodiac, signifying endings and beginnings. This is the mark of the Vedic Lunar New Year and the beginning of the sacred nine day celebration of Navaratri as well. Durga is enlivened at this time! The battle between good over evil intensifies in the coming days as Durga battles the demon Mahishasura. This battle takes place within every human being. The conflict between light and dark forces, polarities, is expressed through this sacred and timeless battle. It also mirrors the conflicts stirred between the masculine and feminine energies within. This battle is a wake up call, a clearing of old, stagnant beliefs, patterns and behaviors. Pay close attention during this sacred nine day celebration as inner and outer conflicts intensify. What does this conflict share with you about your polarities? What mirrors are being held up in order for you to make lasting change and transformation? Nava means nine in Sanskrit while Ratri means nights. This is a nine day celebration that is divided into three parts. The first three days are dedicated to the goddess Durga. Her warrior spirit cleanses, shifts, uproots, changes and transforms. Think of her as tilling the soil, prior to planting seeds. The next three days of celebration are dedicated to Lakshmi. Her abundance, nurturing, and wealth offer nourishment and support to us on all levels of life. Health is the ultimate wealth and Lakshmi brings this support as well. Finally, we have three days dedicated to goddess Saraswati. She gives us knowledge, understanding, wisdom, creativity and artistry. She is the rasayana (or healing balm) if you will to close this sacred nine day celebration. Together, these three goddesses bring wholeness, renewal, and the life giving offerings of Shakti. This creative life-force energy is truly what inspires life, living and abundance. She is your Creative Intelligence. It is at this time that we can connect to these three goddesses most easily- inside of us, and around us. Because of this, Navaratri is considered a very sacred and powerful time of year- one that influences our inner and outer experience of life for months to come. To connect with the goddesses more closely, make special offerings on your altar to them during the nine days. You can also dedicate your actions and intentions to them for greater communication. Use this time for self development practices and sacred pause. Slow down and notice what is stirring within you and around you. Connecting to fire and stoking the internal flame (or agni) can be valuable for the first three days of Durga. You may wish to write intentions that focus on empowerment and action steps for the coming months as well. Using self development tools to transform negative thoughts and mental body stories, will be well supported at this time. During the three days of Lakshmi, bring sweets and flowers to your altar, cook nourishing foods for your Self, decorate and adorn your Self. This is a time to focus on self care diligently. For the final portion of Navaratri, dedicated to Saraswati, music, art and poetry can be a good way to focus your energy, efforts and intentions. Use creativity, artistry and embodiment resources for grounding and landing in your intentions. Use my Creative Rituals for support with this process. During this sacred and potent time, treat your Self like the goddess that you are and share your abundance with others. May we each remember our abundant true nature, our immense creative life giving energy and the power of the Divine Feminine for healing and transformation! Read more about Navaratri from Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra, renowned Shaka Vansya Ayurvedic Doctor. Who is She? She is wild, untamed and unpredictable. She is your divine, feminine wisdom. Your emotional body. Your intuitive guidance and creative intelligence. She is your inner Moon. She rules receptivity and She will determine your feelings of nourishment in life. Know Her and know your divinity. Understand Her wisdom and become the magic of life! But how do you know if you're in right-relationship with Her? With your Divine Feminine Self? The truth is, most humans are in some state of conflict with various parts of themselves, especially their inner feminine wisdom. Here are some signs you might be in conflict with Her: - Confusion about choices, answers or solutions. - In a state of chaos or overwhelm. - Over stimulation or over activity causing heightened stress in the four bodies. - Excess emotion, extreme emotional sensitivity. - Living in black and white with no space for the unknown. - Taking in too much, overly receptive- resulting in depletion of one or more of your bodies. - Challenges and obstacles with all things Venus and Moon (Money, food, comforts, relationships, creativity, flow, emotions, health, vitality, female organs). - Lack of ideas, creative activation, not feeling excited or passionate about life. - Little to no intuitive awareness or wisdom. - Problems with your mother, female figures or female relationships. - Resistance to pleasure, joy, abundance, flow, creative intelligence. If you answered yes to one or more of these signs, you are likely in conflict with your inner feminine wisdom- on some level of your being. Often these vows are taken at a very young age. Later on in life, the suppression of your divine feminine wisdom will result in systemic issues on some level of your being. This is not unusual since the Western-centric culture is predominantly rooted in the masculine energy of product instead of process, external focus rather than internal focus. The feminine is more responsive, receptive and therefore in tune with process, flow and surrender. In truth, we need balance between both the masculine and feminine energy within, but so often there is a conflict keeping us from experiencing this inner harmony. When the issues with your feminine wisdom come to the surface of your awareness, when they become conscious, they can be identified and confronted. This usually arrives as some challenge, obstacle or conflict within you- or with another person. Are you experiencing an inner conflict? Part of you desires surrender, but the rest of you is terrified of letting go. You tell yourself you should slow down and listen, but you keep pushing past the signals anyway. Maybe you don't hear the signals at all. Often there's a terror about "losing control" or being in the unknown, the grey territory of life. You are afraid of vulnerability and see the receptive, the feminine, as weak. Resistance to change or receiving support. This conflict with your feminine wisdom is keeping you from feeling deeper nourishment and harmony within you and your life. The truth is, it's a very old story. If you're ready to re-write this story, reclaim your divine feminine wisdom, follow along with me in the coming days. I will be sharing some potent resources to help you connect with your Divine Feminine wisdom, your inner goddess. Join me for a *free* New Moon + Navaratri class this Sunday. Deepen your relationship with your inner goddess and release the past cycle more fully. Join the Class List. As I shared in my last newsletter, suppressing my wild, creative wisdom has cost me dearly. The dance of Rahu (shadow) and Jupiter (expanded wisdom) in Leo is having a powerful impact on personal development and growth. As we move through the eclipse portal (March 8th to 23rd) this theme has been intensifying. Each of us will be forced to confront light and dark forces within. Do you keep playing small, while staying in the dark, the shadow? Or do you lean into this darkness, in order to expand your life container and invite in more light? This is a choice. The problem is that many people will continue to miss the important messages arriving. Over and over again, I'm hearing my clients speak about their own self-sabotage. They are resisting and even refusing to look at their shadows. This resistance to progress, growth and change has dire effects on the desires, goals and dreams they have. Identifying self-sabotage means addressing fear, confusion or perhaps some inner conflict. So the shadow remains, sucking your inner power (Leo- Solar Plexus) and keeping you in illusion. Does This Sound Familiar? - Avoiding extra support, guidance and resources that you know will help you grow. - Being too "busy" to gather new resources and support, or even use the resources you already have. - Feeling overwhelmed and over-stressed, while life progress is slowed or stunted. - Frozen emotions, a flatness, within, often with the story that "everything is fine." - Hiding behind money issues as an excuse to not get the support you need. - Not showing up for guidance and support, saying you don't have time or money. - Avoiding action steps, with little to no momentum for change. - Not seeing solutions. - Using drugs, alcohol or food to numb, avoid or suppress your feelings. - Inner voices that are critical, judgemental and connected to fears and limiting beliefs. These are clear expressions of self-sabotage, limiting beliefs and inner shadow manipulation. The impact on your life has lasting effects. Most importantly, self sabotage keeps you locked in an ongoing struggle with missed opportunities for deeper nourishment, joy and success. Playing small also has dire and lasting consequences on your path and purpose. With each one of my clients, as the self-sabotage was named, addressed and moved through the bodies, they noticed remarkable results. Even though the self sabotage behaviors had been controlling and manipulating them for weeks and years, the change was immediate, the awakening tangible. Some have declared a new empowerment and courage to take action. Others felt a sense of freedom and new awareness arrive. For others it arrived with a sense of support, abundance and clarity with next steps. The results my clients see are remarkable. The sense of inner growth, creativity and thriving is tangible. The choices and successes they experience are life-changing. I know this can be your story as well. Are you letting self sabotage and limiting beliefs keep you in the dark? Are you playing small, operating your life on auto-pilot? Remember that "everything is fine" is not the same as being deeply nourished in your life. It usually speaks to a level of mediocrity and stunted growth. I know some of you are ready for change, but you just don't know what that looks like, or how that might feel. I know some of you are using the excuse of money as a way to keep yourself from taking action steps and getting the support you might need. So I ask you: What do you need right now on your path? Do you have support and resources for all four bodies- mental, emotional, physical and spiritual? Where are the holes in your support system and resources? How can I support you to deepen your growth and nourishment in life? Not sure?! Let's figure it out together! When you email me, you are connecting with me directly. Let me know what your needs are, or where you are feeling stuck. Together, we can create a plan of action for you. In the coming weeks, the eclipse portal will be amplifying your inner shadow. I encourage you to lean in, listen and notice. I know you are capable of immense growth and healing. I want this for you and I'm here to support your process. All you have to do is ask. Integration Tapping Podcast To support your inner growth and integration process, I've created a tapping script for you to use as a resource for stepping into your commitment to healing and transformation. It's especially valuable for creating more inner harmony during the eclipse portal and the cycle to come. In the podcast below, I share a tapping (EFT) sequence with you that will guide you through transforming and releasing the old stories and invite in more receptivity. Remember, we start with identifying the challenges, then moving into possibility and desires in order to transform our shadow into light. This is a recording I made on one such hike. It was windy and snowy, so you'll here the elements along the way! In many ways I haven't been fully honest or truthful with you, my full, authentic self. I share a lot of resources for empowerment, self development and life improvement because I believe strongly that life is about growth, change and transformation. Resources are necessary, vital, in order to open new pathways of healing. The resources I share with my clients are very powerful. I use them myself and have heard countless stories from clients who have had remarkable shifts and life changing results. I know the power of the resources and tools that I use and.....I'm also struggling. Yes, I have resources that work, and I am also still facing challenges. I am struggling with loss, with lifelong grief, with parts of my life that can't be reconciled. Several months ago I realize that the only way to reconcile with the losses I've endured, is to reconcile with the fact that I won't be able to reconcile with them. This actually gave me some relief. I'm working through a lot of pain, and it's important that I'm honest about this because it shapes the work that I offer, the tools I share, the guidance I give. Recently I've started to recognize an important thread with my work. The clients that are showing up for sessions, are in fact moving through grief just like me. In many ways their stories mirror my own. Not surprising really because this is the path of Dharma. If you are fully paying attention on your dharmic path, you will notice that there's always overlap between your own process and the process of those you are supporting and serving. These are the dharmic teachings that I offer and continue to experience on my own path. Not surprisingly, it is showing up to remind me that grief is part of my dharmic work. I must not neglect this part of my story, this part of my struggle, this part of by ongoing day-to-day experience in life. This past weekend, I attended another community grief ritual and peeled back another layer of my grief, found more release and faced more of my shadow. I consider this brave and courageous work. Necessary work. The truth is, when you work with your grief as a resource, it becomes highly transformational. Working with your grief can heal you, your family members, ancestral line and the world at large. When inner suffering is not addressed and confronted, it becomes a toxic residue with lasting impact on yourself and others. This toxicity will be passed on to others, including future generations. I know many of you are moving through grief consciously or unconsciously, and struggling to use it as a resource for awakening. The reality is that everyone has a grief story- whether it's acute, whether it's familial, ancestral or simply the accumulation of life losses. Using grief as a resource for change is a powerful transformational ally. My healing work includes working with loss, grief, suffering, struggle and the shadow because I know the importance this has on ones ability to grow. In the coming days, I'll be sharing more about the shadow, about struggle and how to work with your inner darkness more intimately. Be sure to sign up for my *free* Full Moon Creative Ritual class for extra resources. Join the List. Grief is a part of the shadow. It is a resource that can bring more light, but is extremely challenging to work with. It's delicate and intimately vulnerable and yet it undeniably shapes us. It gives opportunity for awakening- if we use it very consciously. Yet some of the pain, some of the residue of loss will remain, irregardless of the tools, the resources, and the work that we do to heal. Call it the karma of being in a human body or call it the purpose of grief, or both. It is here with us on this journey. Life and grief go hand in hand. The simple fact, for example, that you're loved one will not return, will not ever come back, or be in a human body again, is a part of the grief process that is most challenging. How to reconcile with this reality? How to mend a broken heart that can't be repaired? Is it even possible with this type of loss? In one's jyotish chart, Ketu is responsible for causing cracks in the being. These cracks can ultimately be places where more light can enter, more awareness, more vision, clarity or new options and possibilities. Ketu can also represent trauma points in the being- mentally, physically, emotionally or spiritually- depending on what he touches. He disrupts, restructures, creates forced release, and ultimately liberation. But he will always leave a scar, the scar of his loss. How do you work with the scar of loss? How can you use it consciously for healing, awakening and growth? Rather than contracting, closing, avoiding, shutting down or becoming frozen? It's possible to move forward. It's possible to reshape, to re-create, then reshape some more. It's possible to use the emptiness as a resource for delicately, intimately filling it with sacred intentional actions, choices, experiences, relationships. And yet there will always be a hole. The real question becomes: how to reconcile with the hole- the hole in your heart. How to very consciously and intentionally tend to this hole, this vulnerable, tender wound. That's where my resources can support you. That's where consistent guidance, vigilance, willingness, inner resourcing and group support can be invaluable. As we move through this eclipse portal in the coming days, you will be forced to face your shadows in more intimate ways. Everyone- conscious or not- will be touched by the shadow in unique ways, depending on their their own chart. Read more about the specifics for each sign in my Waxing Moon Horoscopes. Do you have a membership yet? I'll be sharing extra resources guidance and support during this eclipse portal, knowing that everyone is going to be challenged and provoked in ways that will be uncomfortable. Even in the discomfort, try to remind yourself that there is choice. Choice in your response. Choice in your actions. Choice in how you choose to move forward with your one precious life. Do you show up fully or turn your back on emotions, stories, messages, pains and struggles? How do you honor your grief with consciousness? If you're ready for guidance and resources, I am here to support your journey and process of transformation. Ask me about my personal sessions. How to mend a broken heart while tending to your grief: - Go slow and take sacred pauses with deep breaths. - Lean into your vulnerability. - Remove the masks that keep you pretending. - Allow emotions to rise, to swell, to move through you, to move you. - Use movement as a support, as a resource for containment and release. - Get embodied. Stay in the body as much as you can. - Use sensation as a resource for continual arriving. - Be honest with yourself and others. - Communicate your needs clearly. - Ask for tenderness, ask for support, ask for your needs to be met. - If it doesn't work for you, honor this and let it go. - You have changed. Start acknowledging this concretely. Remind others you are not the same person anymore if necessary. - Let go of old expectations you've had for yourself, for others. - Reach out for new resources. Your needs are different now, you'll need different resources as well. - Go slow and take sacred pauses with deep breaths. Join me for a *free* Creative Ritual class on Sunday, March 20th in honor of the full Moon, eclipse portal and Holi celebrations. This offer will not be available again during 2016. Do you see your challenges as gifts?! It's rare that challenging emotions are recognized as the gifts that they are. In fact, working with your emotions, rather than against them, can have powerful effects on how you create your life. Life is created from, manifested from, the feeling level- not the thinking level. Simply put, if something feels good, you will want to create more of it and if it doesn't feel good, you will not want to create more of it in your life. There are challenges to manifesting more of what you want obviously. But the key is actually through the wisdom of the emotional body landscape. By deepening your relationship with your feelings, you can start to navigate this terrain more consciously. The reality is that most people are neglecting, avoiding, resisting or refusing to address this powerful manifestation resource because it is not always a comfortable process. Emotions are powerful resources of insight. Feelings are one of the biggest blessings of being a human. They always tell us what we need. Underneath every intense, painful or overwhelming emotion is a message- and a key to unlock our highest potential. Anger for example is the messenger that something feels unfair to us, that we've been wronged in some way. Ultimately, this is telling us that we deserve better! That's a good thing. In fact, underneath anger is always passion- which gives rise to our power. Feeling wronged is actually a reminder that we aren't aligned with our power. Therein lies the gift. Anger is an opportunity for us to see where we are not using our passion and our power properly. Where we are misaligned with our potency. My favorite resource for emotional body release and quick transformation is EFT- the Emotional Freedom Technique. If you've worked with me in session or taken any of my classes, you've probably done tapping. It's powerful stuff. When anger- or any emotion- is intense, I suggest doing a "tap and rant". This means you tap on the EFT points while venting. If you're unsure of the points, just use the heart center. Literally, tap on the center of your chest as you yell and scream! It works! This Creative Ritual will also help you work directly with your challenges- emotion or otherwise. Take your challenge into your creative process and see what develops! Step #1 Movement Exploration. What emotion are you feeling? Is it anger, depression, frustration, chaos, uncertainty? Start dancing this emotion. What does it feel like in your body? Do the "dance of anger" for example. What emerges as you do your anger dance?! Remember to let sounds out! Move and develop your dance for at least minutes. When you feel a sense of closure, ask yourself these questions: I sense, I feel, I imagine. Step #2 Create an image of your emotion. What does it feel like? Put it on paper using colors, textures and shapes. Create an image that expresses your experience with this emotion and whatever emerged in your dance. Spend at least 5 to 20 minutes creating this image. I suggest using paints or craypas and a large piece of paper. Title your image. In your journal or on the back of the drawing answer this question: If your image could speak what would it say? Step #3 Harvesting. Answer these baseline statements and questions in your journal once you have completed the previous steps. I am___ I want___ I need___ What am I opening to? What am I closing to? Recycle this process whenever strong emotions emerge. Remember they arrive to give you important messages. Listen carefully and honor them with deeper listening. What is the emotions telling you? What do you need for deeper nourishment in your life? Join me for a *free* Manifestation Class on February 27th. Are you on the list? Sign Up.
