The November new Moon arrives on the 7th at 09:02 am MT while Moon is transiting Libra and Vishaka nakshatra. This new Moon also coincides with the powerful day of light, Diwali, in the Vedic calendar. Diwali (or Deepavali) is a very significant five day festival in the Vedic tradition. The most significant day of the Diwali festivities is on the new Moon. This five day celebration honors light, Lakshmi, and the divine resources available to us. Lakshmi is the giver of health, vitality, nourishment and wealth. The festival of light spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Three of the most important days are dedicated to Dhanvantari, Hanuman and of course the new moon being the most important of all, which is solely dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. Read more about Diwali and why this festival of lights is so important. This Libra new Moon calls for integration, balance and harmony. Ruling planet of Libra, Venus, is currently retrograde in its own sign, Libra as well. Retrograde Venus is causing relationships to be re-evaluated, re-assessed and returned to. Re-looking at all things Venus is vital for more balance in relationships, finances, comforts, and overall nourishment. This is an important opportunity to tip the scales in a different direction and find a more harmonious way with opposing forces. What needs are not being met? Where do you need to find more balance with your boundaries? Do your relationships feel imbalanced? Read more about the extended transit of Venus in Libra. The coming cycle instigates the need for balance, harmony and integration in new, more provocative ways. With new Moon in Vishaka nakshatra, the waxing cycle promotes gathering increased support and resources in order to invite in more balance into your life. Vishaka expresses duality, as it is ruled by two gods- Indra and Agni. Both rely on each other for support, growth, strength and purpose. Indra is the king of the gods, yet Agni is the priest. Neither can thrive without the wisdom and resources of the other. This is a reminder that duality must find its common ground, its middle way. Neither polarity exists alone, each must unify and allow for coexisting. Both Libra and Vishaka are powerful reminders of what is required in harmonious relationship and the ease of conflict. Release the binaries and find the common ground. Activate the process of relating and connecting. Both sides must reach toward the other in order for connection, communication and co-creation. Vishaka is an important reminder that no one can survive without help, support and guidance from a team and a community. What conflicts are surfacing right now in yourself and in your relationships? How can you find more balance with your inner conflicts? What would balance and harmony feel like in your life and relationships? Where are you noticing the imbalances in your life? Can you find a gentler, more harmonious way? This is a powerful time of emptying, releasing and clean up- especially for health, relationships and finances. Seek to re-balance your needs and priorities. Clarify boundaries and expectations. Plug the leaks and strengthen your ability to receive the nourishment you need. Creative Ritual What does empowerment feel like? How do you feel this energy in your body? Use my Tapping Meditation below to support an increase in your power. Then use this awareness to create an image and identify your needs. Take this surge of energy and channel it into powerful action steps! Once you create your image of power, share it with us in the Embodied Moon FB group! Step #1 How do you know if you are disempowered, disconnected from your inner source? When your breath is short, body is tight and mind is running the show, you are likely disconnected from your inner wisdom and power. This may present itself through emotional body reactions, mental stories that seem to be on repeat in your head, and physical body responses that constrict you, leaving you closed off to possibility, options, new choices. Read More and Listen to my Tapping Meditation for Empowerment Step #2 Create an image of what it feels like to be empowered, connected and feeling your inner strength. What colors, textures and images arrive? Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of your power. Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow 20 minutes at minimum for this nourishment image. Title your image. Step #3 Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your image with the intention of "moving with your feelings". What feelings emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process. Step #4 Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions: I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine, I express Where do I feel support in my life? Where do I need more support? I call myself the Dharma Midwife.

The October full Moon arrives Wednesday, October 24th at 10:44 am MT while Moon transits Aries and Ashwini nakshatra. Beginnings and rejuvenation arrive. This is a powerful cycle for healing and transformation. Release, make space, and open to the new. Moon feels energized and enlivened at the time of the full Moon. Direct this energy towards self care, healing resources and creativity. As Moon awakens Ashwini nakshatra during this full Moon, the constellation of healing supports greater inner wisdom to arrive. Clear space for this wisdom by releasing and letting go of stagnation, undigested emotions and mental clutter. This is an ideal cycle to attend to the physical body and wellness practices. Start your fall or spring cleanse at the time of the full Moon and jump start your healing process in the weeks ahead. The Ashwini Kumara twins rule the first constellation of the zodiac, Ashwini. This dynamic duo are brothers- both Ayurvedic doctors who can support powerful healing within the body. They awaken creativity, spark new life and enliven rejuvenation so new life can arrive. They rule over all the healing arts- resources that support increased life force energy. The more life force within, the more vitality and strength experienced within the physiology. Allow the support of the Ashwini Kumaras to help you restore balance, integration and wellness in the cycle ahead. The symbol of Ashwini is a horse head. Horses represent power, strength, endurance and vitality. Working with horses and riding horses requires clarity, focus and a strong will, as well as willingness to be touched by horse medicine. Ashwini expresses the ability to strengthen ourselves and heal like the mighty horse. Horses are known to create an anti-venom which literally and metaphorically expresses the ability to ward off evil, poison and snakes. The coming cycle can support greater strength and vitality- in body, mind, emotions and spirit. Spend time with horses and watch them carefully for healing insights. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, while Ashwini is the first constellation of all twenty seven nakshatras. The arrival of this full Moon brings beginnings with it. As with all openings, there is also closing, release and letting go. Are you attending to losses and release? Are you allowing for the letting go? What grief needs to be purged and has yet to be honored? Where are you skipping over your closing ritual? There has been so much trauma confronted over the past many weeks as a result of Mars and Ketu in tight conjunction and the recent transition of Jupiter shifting into Scorpio has intensified shadow work and grief. So many have felt old trauma and grief aggressively forced to the surface. It's been a painful process for many and has created destabilization and lack of safety in body and life. It's time to come back to ground and deepen your self trust. Use resources to support more nourishment, rest and gentleness, Re-center yourself and use your body as the tuning fork. What does your body say it needs? Ask your body to give you messages and listen carefully. Keep showing up. Sun has shifted to its debilitation sign, Libra, for the coming month. This is a low point in the year for the Sun. Until November 16th, Sun will be in hiding, asking for rest and silence. All debilitated planets turn their energy inwards. The Sun's light and energy will turn inward in the coming weeks, asking you to look within. The light within will strengthen which means that we may see ourselves and our shadows more clearly. This may feel helpful or painful for some. Honor this inward shift with extra self care. This is not a time to push or force or be visible. This is a powerful time for introspection, retreat and more silence. Do less and honor this still point in the season. When the Sun's light dims, it can be challenging for the physical body, however it can often be helpful for the spiritual body. Take extra care of the body, get more rest, eat in harmony with the seasons and use an Ayurvedic diet. Abhyanga (warm oil massage) is a great grounding resource. Spend time in nature and stay close to the body. It may feel easier to lose connection with the body in the coming days and disconnect. Use somatic resources to reconnect. Where are you bypassing the needs of your body? Where are you disconnected with your physical body? Are you spiritual bypassing and avoiding your grief? What relationship challenges are keeping you disconnected from your body, pelvis and sexuality, feminine wisdom? Notice where Libra lives in your chart. This house placement will give further insights into themes emerging for this coming cycle. If you are a Scorpio rising, Sun will be marana in your 12th house. This is the least happy place for Sun and will require extra care and attention. More spiritual focus and less material focus is vital. Attend to losses and grief that needs your attention. For Aries ascendant, Sun dips into your 8th house which is a hidden place for Sun. It is a low point for your year and extra care and caution must be taken. Vigilance with body is needed. Don't take risks and mind your vulnerability. Creative Ritual Create a list of self care activities that nourish and support your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. 1) Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of your nourishment. What does nourishment feel like for you? Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow 20 minutes at minimum for this nourishment image. Title your image. 2) Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your nourishment image with an intention of "moving with your feelings of nourishment". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. I encourage you to extend this time frame as you recycle this process. 3) Harvesting. In your journal answer these questions: I am, I want, I need, I sense, I feel, I imagine. What deeply nourishes me? What no longer nourishes me? Where do I feel support in my life? Where do I need more support? What am I opening to? What am I closing to? I call myself the Dharma Midwife. Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The October New Moon arrives late in the day on Monday the 8th, just as the two week Vedic celebration of Pitru Paksha ends. This celebration of the ancestors awakens and supports our connection with Spirit, helping us align with our ancestors, their wisdom and gifts. As Pitru Paksha closes and the New Moon passes, the most powerful ten days of the Vedic year begins. Maha Navaratri starts on October 9th and closes on the 18th with Vijaya Dashami, the celebration of Durga's victory over the demon Mahishasura. This special nine days supports transformation, healing and release. Pay close attention to needs surfacing and be intentional with your healing process. Monday's new Moon arrives at 21:47 MT while in sidereal Virgo and Hasta Nakshatra. Virgo represents the sixth house of the zodiac, which has to do with conflict, healing and debts. It can also bring support, alliances and companionship through animals, as well as overcoming enemies. Virgo is precise, meticulous and often very critical. Ruled by Mercury, Virgo tends to stay in the mental body and needs reminders to sense and feel in a more embodied way. This new Moon will require us to focus on healing and awakening as Hasta nakshatra brings the dawning, the light. In the days ahead, stay out of the mind and get into the body. Speak, communicate and express. Find your words and let them awaken you and others. Hasta nakshatra is ruled by the deity Savitr, the god of dawn. The sliver of light that arrives on the eastern horizon just before sunrise is his domain. He offers hope and vision through his illumination. This portion of the dawn is particularly potent, magical and powerful. It navigates the liminal realms, the netherworlds- neither worldly nor entirely spiritual, but both. Savitr brings the light to us in this coming cycle so get ready to wake up! His bright light brings consciousness, evolution and enlightenment. This will require a willingness to see, notice and look- even if you don't want to. Notice the spectrum of your inner landscape- emotions, thoughts and unconscious grief- as this will support your healing and transformation process. Even if you don't want to see, it will be impossible not to look. When the darkness is touched by the light, we can't help but see it. Savitr brings light and awakening whether you want it or not. Hands come alive under Hasta nakshatra. Let them be a guide, a resource and a support for your healing process. There is some magic in the hands asking you to look more closely. What are your hands saying to you? What do they need? Use Gayatri Mantra to enliven the light and wisdom of Savitr in the coming days. Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ tát savitúr váreṇ(i)yaṃ bhárgo devásya dhīmahi dhíyo yó naḥ pracodáyāt Mercury moves out of its favorite sign, Virgo, as of October 6th, and into Libra- joining retrograde Venus and sandhi Jupiter here. Jupiter is on his way out, now at the edge of Libra and preparing to make his year long transit through Scorpio. The combination of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter will create a need for balance and harmony on the level of mind, body and emotions. All three are desperately seeking integration and stability- and yet it may feel impossible to find. Women's issues take front and center and will be demanding focus and attention. Women get a boon with this extra long cycle of Venus in its own sign. Watch out for extremes, binaries, contradictions and confusion. Reassess and reevaluate parts of yourself and your relationships that need more of your focus. Attend to comforts, needs and nourishment. Gather your parts and pieces and seek wholeness, the middle way. Find least force and increase life force energy. The waxing cycle ahead will ask you to look more closely at your darkness. As the light shines brighter, as the dawn arrives, your shadows will be more present. Are you willing to lean closer, or will you bypass and avoid? The increased light may feel challenging, uncomfortable and even fragile. Don't avoid your trauma, let it be the resource for your deep awakening. Remember that your trauma and shadow work directly correlates to your dharmic path; there is no separation. If you are willing to acknowledge your pain and lean closer to your disconnection, you have the possibility of healing through the medicine of wholeness. The cycle ahead supports deeper awakening and will require your willingness to see even more than you have before. Don't go back to sleep. The Vedic celebration of Maha Navaratri arrives just after the new Moon. On October 9th, the powerful battle of Ma Durga and the rakshasa (demon) Mahishasura begins, ending with victory day, Vijaya Dashami, on October 19th. Durga defeats the demon, a reminder to us all that Durga always wins. This is a powerful turning point in the Vedic Calendar when the Divine Feminine awakens, enlivens, transforms and heals. It is through the powerful dance of the Divine Feminine that the seasonal shifts take place. We are embarking on the magical transformation between seen and unseen, straddling the material and spiritual realms. This is a gap, a portal, that invites in depth, awakening, awareness and powerful inner wisdom. Stay alert and awake to inner and outer changes taking place. Notice conflicts within yourself and your environment. Seek resolution and healing. The Navaratri celebration is an expression of what is taking place within Nature, through the Laws that govern Nature, marking an important transition within us and around us. Align with Nature and Her powerful energy of change and transformation during Navaratri. Ritualize your connections with Nature- in order to land more closely to your own inner wisdom, to Her wisdom. Strengthen your connection to self and Spirit. Navaratri is a poignant time in the Vedic Calendar. This ancient calendar is one that is dedicated to Nature and her cycles and rhythms, the planets, and most importantly the Moon. In the Vedic Calendar, time is connected to what Nature and the cosmos are doing, and these elements are intimately related. Navaratri occurs multiple times each year- in the "gap" seasons of spring and fall, as well as other important junction points. These times are considered sandhi times; delicate times that feel like you are neither here, nor there. We might call it the netherworld. This time, though delicate, is considered sacred- so use it wisely. Read More About Navaratri the power of this sacred time of year. Creative Ritual As grief continues to rise to the surface, individually and collectively, it's an important time to do our grief work. Use this simple process to help you harvest a message from your grief and support its movement and release. 1) Take a few deep breaths and lean closer to your body sensations. Take your time and go slowly. 2) Notice the emotional body. What are you releasing right now? What losses have you faced in this past cycle? What grief is stirring within you? If you could find this grief living in your body, where would it be? Where do you feel this grief in your body? 3) Lean closer to this grief in your body. How does it feel? What colors, textures or images do you notice? Ask it to share with you. If your grief could talk, what would it say? If your grief could share a need with you, what would it say? 4) Create an image of your grief. How does this grief feel in your body? Create an image using paint, craypas, collage or any medium that inspires you. Spend at least 20 minutes with your grief image. When it feels complete, give it a title. 5) Harvest from your grief image. If it could speak to you, what would it say? Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Days after the equinox, the September full Moon arrives on Monday the 24th at 20:52 MT. Moon is in sidereal Pisces and the constellation of Uttarabhadrapada at the time of fullness. There is movement, increased fluidity, and a desire for balance arriving with this Moon tide. Equinox expresses the equilibrium taking place in the environment- when days and nights become nearly equal in length. The darkness and the light within us and around us find some harmony, integration and balance. With Venus currently transiting Libra until January 1st, this theme is alive and well. Pisces also seeks balance, however it is through movement and release. Stagnation causes certain death. The turning of the cycles and the rotation of the wheel of life, is provoked at these seasonal junction points, or Equinox. Whether you are in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, the shift is arriving- causing the release and sparking an opening of the new. Pisces correlates to the 12th house of the zodiac- which expresses themes around loss, endings, release and letting go. The wisdom of the 12th house is expressed through the ancestors, reclusive tendencies and all matters of the spiritual realms. It is a junction point between endings and beginnings, openings and closings, spirit and material worlds. There is nothing mundane about this portion of the sky. Jupiter, the guru, rules Pisces and reminds us of the knowledge possible through this sign. As a water sign, it requests movement, fluidity, purification and attention to the emotional body. The September full Moon in Pisces and Uttarabhadrapada takes us into a deep dive- below the surface understanding of life and into the depths of our inner realms. Ruling deity of this constellation is Ahirbudhnya who rules unseen, hidden parts of our awareness. With the help of Ahirbudhnya, the unconscious parts of ourselves will rise to the surface, becoming conscious. The serpent of the depths seeks spiritual awakening, transformation and healing, and does so by asking us to look at our shadows. As a Naga, Ahirbudhnya has spiritual serpent energy that moves darkness to the light, stirring and awakening the unseen, making it dissolve into conscious awareness. In many ways this is a reflection of the endless cycle of transcendence and transformation. Darkness to light, pulling from our depths, and awakening insights and awareness; the new awareness provoking change and beginnings. Though we touch the surface, the intention of this constellation is to go back into the depths again and again. Coming up for air doesn't last long. It is the desire for expansion and growth that drives the movement and the return to the depths of our inner ocean. Ahirbudhnya supports this journey. This waning cycle comes with a request to journey into your inner terrain and pull up pearls of wisdom. This requires your willingness to look deep within and uncover the hidden, dark parts of yourself. An invitation to intensify your healing process and gather new guidance is arriving. There may be confusion and shadow keeping you from seeing clearly, but strive for clarity and insight anyway. Balance, integration and harmony are bursting forth, but not without required release and endings. Are you consciously allowing the letting go to take place? What veils of illusion are clouding your vision? What needs to be stripped away in order for you to see more clearly? Relationships and the feminine are particularly potent resources for this waning cycle. Are you listening to your inner Divine Feminine? Are you allowing her wisdom to support your balance? She is a requirement for your wholeness and inner balance. Let Her speak to you. As we move beyond the equinox, the Vedic celebration of Maha Navaratri arrives with the new Moon on October 9th. This Leo new Moon occurs at 12:02 am MT while Moon is in Purvaphalguni nakshatra. As the Moon waxes and expands in the cycle ahead, comforts, nourishment and relationships come to the forefront. Sun and Moon both transit Purvaphalguni nakshatra in Sidereal Leo at the time of the new Moon, receiving gaze from Mars. Mercury is also transiting Leo and currently in Magha nakshatra. The gaze from Mars empowers Sun, Moon and Mercury, while clarifying and strengthening desires and action steps. Leo is ruled by the Sun and notorious for bold expression. With Sun in its own sign right now, we may be feeling a surge in power, determination and strength. Put your focus into action, awaken goals and ask for what you need. The New Moon in Leo and Purvaphalguni invites increased creativity and sensuality to the cycle ahead. There is strong desire, empowerment and attention to relationships surfacing. Clear away emotional debris and make space for gains and advancements in your feeling center, the heart. As you clarify goals and intentions, make sure you are also being diligent with the action steps necessary to accomplish them. Watch for overdoing, pushing and forcing as well as imbalance with action and rest. Allow for leisure, increased pleasure, nourishment and ease but be mindful of overindulgence. Cravings are rooted in the shadow. What darkness is not being attended to with honesty and courage? Where can you let go and find more surrender? Where are you pushing and forcing, creating imbalance and incongruence? Purvaphalguni nakshatra is ruled by Bhaga, the god of pleasure, comforts and commodities. He gives excess, abundance and juiciness. Sensuality and sexuality come naturally as a result of his gifts and influence. Manifestation is enlivened with his life force energy. This constellation is like the nectar that bees flock to, expressing a spring-like quality with plenty of blossoming and fruiting. The sap is flowing, the bees are buzzing and the flowers are blooming! Can you feel it? Beauty comes alive within this portion of the sky and potential is dawning. Relationships are energized and strengthened with the influences of this constellation. Plant your seeds of desire, expand your dreams and focus on the bigger picture. Maybe it's time to ask for what you really want and need? Where are you receiving less than what you deserve? What is keeping you from rising and growing? Where are you resisting your power and greater purpose? This cycle reminds us: Don't settle for less than the best. Ask Nature to support your clarity and vision. Think bigger and be clear about your desires. Get focused and expand your reach. Use creative resources to awaken your life force energy. Make art! Dance and sing! Celebrate yourself! Meet new people, start new relationships, enliven the ones you already have. Allow more sensuality and sexuality into your life and let your life force energy flow more fully. Spend time receiving and remember your gratitude. Where do you feel abundant already? Where do you need more? Remember that getting the support you need and being able to receive, will strengthen your results. We don't succeed alone- ever! Gather who and what you need for growth. Creative Ritual Create A Life of Thriving With These Five Steps: Step #1 Write a list of all the things you are grateful for. List the people, experiences and parts of your life that truly make you feel glad to be alive. Are you grateful for your health? Your children? Your garden? Your amazing clients? Put it on the list! Step #2 As you look at your gratitude list, pause and be still. Where do you feel the sensation of gratitude in your body? Can you feel it rising up from your belly or spreading across your chest? Try to locate the sensation and clearly identify it. Use this physical body feeling as a tuning fork. Keep coming back to this sensation as a way to touch in with the feeling of thriving and nourishment. More of that please! This is what you want to create more of in your life! Step #3 Create an image of this feeling of gratitude and the sensation of nourishment it brings into your body. Use craypas, paints, collage, pen and ink or any other medium that inspires you. Use colors, textures and shapes to create your image. Take 20+ minutes to create your image then give it a title. Step #4 Move your image. Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your nourishment image with an intention of "moving with your feelings of nourishment". What sensations emerge for you during your dance? What awareness? Allow 5 to 10 minutes for this movement exploration. Step #5 Harvest in your journal some of your key findings from this process. Answer these statements: I sense___ I feel____ I imagine____ Bonus Step: Pick a few people to share your gratitude with. The best way to amplify this feeling is to share it with others! Use post it notes for a quick thank you or get more elaborate and write out a love note to someone special. Write a sweet message of gratitude to your child or give your neighbor a friendly mailbox surprise. I call myself the Dharma Midwife. Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Early on August 26th, the full Moon in Aquarius and Satabisha nakshatra arrives. At 05:55 am MT, the Moon will be at it its fullest and most luminous. This is a particularly potent full Moon, supporting healing, opening and divine clarity for your path. On the other side of three eclipses and a Kala Sarpa yoga, the coming cycle supports new possibility for healing and awakening. Sun in its own sign of Leo sits on the Eastern horizon at the time of the full Moon, ushering in light, empowerment and strength for the cycle ahead. Ask the ancestors to support you in the coming days, as they will be the ones granting you blessings and ushering you forward. The Moon receives gaze from Jupiter at this time of the full Moon as well, gifting us with a sense of expansion and a readiness to open up to new nourishment. Saturn also gazes at the Moon offering restriction and steadiness. Together, these dynamics of expansion and contraction, provide balance and evenness. Honor these needs in the coming weeks. Seek steady steps, be consistent and allow yourself to receive the flow of resources arriving. The full Moon in Aquarius is a reminder to seek integration and balance with opening and closing. A dual ruled air sign, both Saturn and Rahu provide a sense of duality and contradiction here. Aquarius correlates to the 11th house of gains, however, gains come when we allow for losses. In other words, without letting go and supporting the release process, there isn't space to acquire or receive the gains arriving. Pluses and minuses must be honored in the cycle ahead. There will be losses and inevitable letting go. Just remember you are making space for the new. What do you need for deeper nourishment? Are you making space for what you need? What losses do you need to attend to and grieve? What gains do you need to celebrate and honor? Satabisha nakshatra is a powerful constellation of healing. This full Moon brings an important junction point to our journey of change and transformation. Varuna is the ruling deity of this portion of the sky. He rules Natural Law and sustains it through seeing everything- dishing out consequences for that which goes against the highest Laws of the Universe. Said to have "thousands of eyes", Varuna sees all actions, choices and behaviors. This gives him great wisdom, and allows him to be a great healer as well- as he can eradicate the root cause of disease. Sometimes Varuna is considered the king of kings for this reason as he rules over Natural Law, Universal Law, or Rta. Lakshmi and Soma are Varuna's children. Both offer the blessings, healing gifts and miracles that are required to transform the disdain and displeasure of Varuna's watchful gaze. This full Moon is an excellent beginning and fresh start- especially for healing purposes. Disease that begins under Satabisha is extremely difficult to heal, so being extra diligent with routine, diet and life style choices are nonnegotiable in the cycle ahead. This is an excellent time to start your fall cleanse, follow Ayurvedic guidelines more closely, get more rest, exercise and meditate regularly. Use self care in the days ahead and hit reset. If you've been falling far away from a healthy routine and choices, now is the time to reel it back in and realign with more structure for building immunity and inner strength. The cure for the critical gaze of this constellation is increasing nourishment, resources, support and vitality. This comes from simplicity, ease and gentleness- not force or punishment. Let this be a reminder for your healing actions and choices as you realign with your inner truth and inner knowing. The symbol of Satabisha is a drum or a circle, which reminds us of the healing power of this constellation, as well as containment and boundaries. There is inner and outer, self and other, inside and out. The sacred drum keeps time, supports our alignment with the universal rhythm and helps call us home to our own heart beat. Use the coming cycle to recommit to yourself, your own drum beat. Keep life simple, steady and slow. Find your pulse, find your rhythm. Let nature and her wisdom support your realignment. Where do you need to simplify and reconnect with your own inner knowing? Where are you getting lost, erratic and creating difficulty? What challenges are asking you to look more closely and reevaluate your choices and actions? How is your inner critic keeping you from the nourishment you seek? Use the coming cycle to come home to yourself and set the intention of healing your body, mind, emotions and spirit. Ask for guidance and seek out new resources where you see holes in your support team. Honoring your inner wisdom and truth is dharma. There is no other path. Creative Ritual Most people think of Jyotish Astrology as a means of charting the planets, the stars, the movements of the heavens. For those of us who subscribe to this very ancient body of Vedic knowledge though, we understand that there is a correlation between the cosmos and our own inner nature, our experience of life. There is a connection between the macrocosm and the microcosm, the two are not separate, but dance, mingle and co-create. This divine interplay is what makes studying Jyotish so valuable. Self Tracking, Learning from the Wisdom of the Body 1) Sit, stand or lay down. Close your eyes and fall into the rhythm of your breath. Notice the rise and fall of your chest, the waves of breath moving in and out of your body. Take some time to relax into this rhythm. 2) As the body moves to greater stillness and relaxation through breath awareness, locate a sensation in the body. This sensation might show up as a tingling, a pulsing, or a sense of vibration. There might even be a color, a shape, a sound or a word that arrives in connection to the body part. Listen and honor whatever arrives for you. Don't filter the messages, judge or critique them. Your only job is to listen right now. Be curious, be interested, and be present to the body's messages. What body part emerges? What sensations are arriving? What messages are shared? Take note of this wisdom coming to you from your body. 3) Create an image of this physical body sensation that arrived through your self tracking. Use craypas or paint and put your experience on paper- so as to transfer the felt senses into a tangible, visual expression. This is a powerful part of the process and one that can shift us into deeper awareness of our body wisdom. 4) Once your image is complete, give it a title. Now, let it speak. What does your image have to share with you? If your image could speak, what would it say? 5) Pull out your Jyotish chart. What body part emerged in your self tracking exploration? What house of the chart is connected to this body part? Study this house within your chart. What do you notice? Use this to help you identify the houses. We can analyze the experience of the house by noting: What planets are sitting there, if any? What sign is located in this house? Do any planets give their drishti (gaze)? Finally, note the current transits and what planets might be effecting this house currently. Your body is sharing with you a very specific message. This message is directly connected to your needs, your desires, your deep longing for nourishment, comfort, safety and support on some core level. When we can access the wisdom of the body directly, we get very clear, unfiltered messages and insights. The cosmic intelligence of the jyotish chart can then help us further identify what is impacting us both macrocosmically and microcosmically. This is the vital information we need for deepening our healing and transformation process. Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The July New Moon arrives late on Thursday evening the 12th at 20:49 MT, while Moon is transiting sidereal Gemini and Punarvasu nakshatra. This new Moon is unique in that it opens the gates of eclipse season- which will conclude on August 11th with the New Moon in Cancer and a partial Solar Eclipse. Eclipse Portal Wisdom Three eclipses take place over the span of a month, occurring back to back. The July New Moon in Gemini arrives with a Partial Solar Eclipse, marking the opening of this shadowed portal. The Full Moon in Capricorn on July 27th takes place with a full Lunar Eclipse. Usually, eclipses come in pairs, however this eclipse cycle brings a third eclipse with the new Moon in Cancer on August 11th. A partial Solar Eclipse closes the portal and will support a rich harvest with depth and insights. There is an interesting theme with this eclipse portal. The Gemini new Moon in Punarvasu Nakshatra creates an opening for deeper nourishment to be confronted. What is missing in your support team? Where are you feeling depleted or malnourished? This new Moon will provoke challenges with disconnection to rise to the surface. The desire to be whole, more balanced and unified within self and life increases. Mid eclipse cycle, the full Moon in Capricorn and Sravana nakshatra will ask you to refine and take steps towards dharma- that which sustains and supports you and your inner awareness. The deconstruction of old patterns and belief systems that are standing in your way must be allowed to crumble and release. You will feel the fullness of what does not serve you. What do you want to replace this old, outmoded way of being? What resources and behaviors can support more harmony, ease and gentleness in your life? Closing this eclipse portal will be a partial solar eclipse and a new Moon in Cancer and Ashlesha Nakshatra. If you've been hiding behind false pretenses, this will be a time of unmasking and clarifying the changes that must take place. This particular closure will force you to identify your trust issues- inner and outer. Where are you hiding behind ego and avoiding your deeper knowing? In what ways are you pretending to feel safe, without actually acknowledging your fears? You may remember that the first solar eclipse of the year on January 31st was also in Ashlesha nakshatra. What did you learn and confront in the previous eclipse cycle? This is an opportunity for you to retrace your steps and revisit any unfinished business with Sarpa, the serpent of transformation. This eclipse cycle is an opportunity to spiral up and awaken from your slumber! Step into your power by identifying and confronting your shadows, illusions and stories. There is great potential in the coming month to release the past, the undigested thoughts and stories clogging your body wisdom. As you clear and let go of these shadowed parts, there is space for moving forward in more empowered, courageous ways. First, you must be willing to awaken from your negligence, laziness and illusion. The more courage you step into, the more you will succeed! Remember that solar eclipses awaken masculine parts of ourselves and help us confront ego based iterations of self, ideologies and belief systems. There will be deconstruction and forced awareness rising to the surface. The purpose of lunar eclipses is to support the confrontation of the shadowed feminine, identifying emotional body blockages and disconnections within receptivity. Solar and lunar eclipses always come in pairs, thus supporting confrontation and release of both masculine and feminine, the ultimate polarities of existence. The result of confronting the shadow is to create more conscious awareness of our unconscious self. With more consciousness, the grip of these illusions lessens, allowing us to create new possibilities- and ultimately make vastly different choices. As we enter this eclipse portal, notice the themes and challenges you have been confronting recently. What is intensifying? What is forcing you to look? What stories, experiences and relationships are encouraging you to look more closely? Continue to dig in and lean closer. Ask for support, resources and guidance so you aren't walking alone. The July Partial Solar Eclipse occurs with the new Moon on July 12th. The eclipse starts on at 19:48 MT and will end July 12th at 22:13 MT, with the maximum portion of the eclipse occurring at 21:01 MT. From a Vedic perspective, it is not advised to be outside during an eclipse or to look directly at the eclipse. Wear a head covering if you have to be outside so you don't absorb the shadow. Ideally, this is a time for spiritual practices such as meditation, chanting and fasting. Set intentions and honor the sensitivity of this time. It is also widely recognized that during and between eclipses, starting new endeavors will not bring positive results. No new projects, relationships or activities should start in the eclipse portal. Notice what needs are arriving, then take action after the eclipse portal closes. Best to lay low, attend to spiritual pursuits, get extra rest and work with your inner shadow very consciously during this cycle. July New Moon Wisdom The July new Moon in Gemini and Punarvasu nakshatra awakens the desire for universality, new resources and support. Ruling deity, Aditi, is often referred to as the "mother of all goodness". She birthed 33 Devas. Of these children, 12 were Adityas- powerful allies for resources, material support, wisdom and guidance. She is the expression of expanded awareness, the mother in all things, the foundation of the universe and nonduality. She awakens and supports the awareness of oneness, non-difference, sama or the equinamity of the mind. Aditi gave birth to Vishnu himself, the ultimate sustaining force that upholds dharma. The bounty and blessings of Aditi will awaken and expand possibilities and potential for you. She is limitless, formless, unbounded, non-dual abundance that is the foundation for all nourishment in this life. Where are you in right relationship with the nourishment in your life? What is feeling supportive, nourishing and bountiful? Where are you disconnected or resisting nourishment, abundance and support? What resources and guidance are missing on your path? Use this new Moon to crack open the parts of you in lack and malnourishment. Attend to your grief and emotional body. Honor and acknowledge the needs that are not being met in your life and your relationships. Dig deeper into your struggle and hardship. Does it really have to be so hard? Where are you making it harder than it needs to be? Only when you are truly willing to face your shadow and honor its gifts, will you be able to make space for and allow new possibilities to arrive. Ask for what you need and gather the resources and support that will make it possible. You Are Invited!! When was the last time you honored the losses in your life? The losses in your lineage? PLEASE RSVP TO JOIN THIS FREE RITUAL EMAIL ME TO JOIN: Swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Creative RitualThe theme of empowerment and clarifying your dharmic purpose is alive right now. It's a powerful time to confront the challenges and struggles you are facing- with honesty and authenticity. As you move closer to what isn't working, you can then get clear on what you really want and need, and what action steps must be taken. 1) In your journal, identify and confront your challenges: What challenges are you facing? What is keeping you from fully aligning with your path, purpose and dharma? Next, create an image of the challenges you face- using craypas, paints, pencils, collage, or any medium that you feel aligned with. Spend 10- 20 minutes creating this challenge image. How do your challenges feel? Frustrating, isolating, enraged, sad, etc? Bring these feelings into your image using color, texture and shapes. Give your image a title. If your image could speak, what would it say? 2) After you write down your challenges, get clear on where you want to go. Next, write down your goals and vision for your fully empowered life. Get clear on your desires. Where would you like to be six months from now? Now create an image of your fully empowered, activated path and purpose- using craypas, paints, pencils, collage or any other medium you feel aligned to work with. How does it feel to fully activate your soul's purpose? What are you doing? How are you showing up in your life, for others, for your self? Bring these feelings into your image using color, texture and shapes. Give your image a title. If your image could speak, what would it say? 3) Finally, use my tapping meditation for empowerment. Clear away the blockages holding you back so you can activate and align with a deeper sense of power and purpose. Take Action Now I call myself the Dharma Midwife. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever! Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Send me a message to see if I have any openings: swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The May Full Moon arrives on the 29th at 08:19am MT while Moon is transiting Scorpio and Anuradha nakshatra. Rahu gives his gaze, providing more intensity, overwhelm and uncertainty. Move closer to the shadow and turn it into light! Sun and Mercury look at the Moon from seven houses away, offering precision, focus and determination. However, the debilitated Moon in Scorpio begs for gentleness, softness and ease. Can you find more balance with all possibilities? Are you able to chip away at the illusions and see the reality with more insight and wisdom? Your spiritual body begs you to lean in and examine it more closely. What have you been unwilling to see or look at? What shadows are keeping you in the dark? You will be asked to dig deeper, lean in and go beyond the surface in this cycle. Relationships, life force energy, vitality, money and creativity are main concerns- which will provoke new needs to be acknowledged. Let Spirit be an ally for your discoveries. Greater stability, alignment and flow is possible in the coming cycle so find the proper channels of support that are needed for this new structure to take hold. Focus on your stable foundation so the life force energy can be received more fluidly. Deepen your relationship with nourishment, food, money and wealth. What does your malnourishment tell you it needs? Where are you resisting receiving what you need? Anuradha nakshatra is ruled by Mitra, the friend, ally and resource provider. He supports connections, alliances and friendships. Saturn rules this constellation however, requesting stability, support, structure and safety. This portion of the sky demands emotional body attention and intention. Whether you want to or not, your emotional body will request focus. Undigested grief needs to be cleared in order to make space for more of what you do want and need. Where are you resisting your emotional body wisdom? Your capacity to acknowledge and honor your grief, determines your capacity to hold the joy and nourishment of this life as well. Balance shadow and light. Harmonize opposing forces. Heal duality and conflict within. Mitra will support a friendly alliance with your whole body, but first you must be willing to wade in the mud and acknowledge the depths of your suffering. No mud, no lotus. In the coming waning cycle, find a new balance point. Redefine what depth means for you. Use the storms to clear and purge. Plant your seeds and find your ground. Unify and strengthen your inner strength. Let Spirit be a guiding force for your higher purpose. Clear away the rubble and clarify your path and purpose. Creative Ritual Resisting your grief leaves a lasting impact on your health and well being. Avoiding your "Grief Work" is often the missing link in your healing process. I see this again and again with my clients! Not sure if you're avoiding your grief, losses, pain and undigested emotions? Here Are 8 Signs that indicate you're likely Resisting or Avoiding Your Grief Work and Emotions. 1) Scan the body and notice what you feel. Imagine you could find where your grief is living in your body. Where does it land? How does it feel? What do you notice? 2) Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of your grief. What does your grief feel like for you? Create an image that expresses this feeling using colors, textures and shapes. Allow about 20 minutes for this grief image. Title your image. If your image could speak to you, what would it say? 3) Use your image to inspire a movement exploration. Let your body move in response to your grief image with an intention of "moving with your feelings of grief". What does your grief tell you it needs? How can you honor this need? I have two Prashna Tarot sessions available for this week! Clarify questions, desires and path with the impeccable accuracy of this ancient energetic system of oracle. I use a very special Vedic Tarot deck. All wisdom is sourced from the sattva (purity) of the Vedas. Book in here then Email me to confirm day and time. Just after Venus shifts into Gemini, the Sun arrives in Taurus for the coming month. The May new Moon arrives on the 15th at 05:48 am MT with Sun and Moon newly entering sidereal Taurus. Both Sun and Moon are positioned at less than a degree during the new Moon. Considered sandhi, in the netherworlds between signs, masculine and feminine are extra sensitive in the coming days. There is vulnerability at the time of the New Moon and throughout the waxing cycle, however there is also great spiritual insight available as well. A sense of beginning and possibility arrives. Open to something new and linger in the liminal. What are you calling in? Who and what are you inviting into your life? Imagine, manifest and create! Krittika nakshatra is on the horizon at the time of the new Moon and both Sun and Moon transit Krittika nakshatra as well. This constellation cuts, severs and sharply removes excess. Ketu gives his drishti to the Sun and Moon, promoting sudden release, loss and restructuring. Moon will be exalted in Taurus, at its most expansive degrees and in his favorite sign, at the time of the empty Moon. Emotions may feel bigger than normal, though there is also great potential to clear and release stagnant emotions, feelings and grief. Support the release process now and in the coming waxing cycle. Krittika nakshatra is ruled by the fire god, Agni. He burns, transforms and supports the alchemy of change. Healing is created through the transformation process and the space that is created through release. What space are you creating in your life? What new nourishment do you need? How are you attending to the space that is being created right now? In order to create the new, you will be asked to clear, cut and sever ties with the past. Lower vibrations and energies need to be lifted. Cut, clear and delete old programming and mental body stories. Let go of relationships and energies holding you back. Give yourself an upgrade and ask for more. Sudden insights and awakening will be possible during the new Moon and in the coming cycle. Creating time and space for listening to your inner wisdom is essential in order to gather the insights coming forth. What is holding you back from saying yes to more of what you need? What is changing and transforming within you and your life? This is a precious time to intentionally create space for more nourishment, ease and grace in your life. Be clear with what you need and ask for gentleness. Acknowledge what must be released and cut in order to get what you truly need and deserve. Don't be afraid to be radical in your desires and your cord cutting. Creative Ritual 1) Using craypas, paints or pencils, create an image of your nourishment. I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever! Every week I offer two *free* dharma coaching sessions to action takers who are ready for deep life change. Is this you?! Email me to see if I have any openings swatijrjyotish@gmail.com The April full Moon arrives on the 28th at 18:58 MT while Moon transits sidereal Libra and Swati nakshatra. Moon is conjunct retrograde Jupiter and receives gaze from exalted Sun. This expansive full Moon invites movement towards balance and integration in the coming weeks. Seek support, stability and integration within the body and relationships. Take steps towards goals, desires and dharmic action. What direction are you going? Be intentional with your actions and choices. Align with purpose and your dharmic path. Spend time honoring relationships and shine the light on your support systems. What do you need in order to feel more balanced, integrated and whole? Who or what is feeling really supportive right now? What is missing and needs to shift? Swati nakshatra is ruled by the wind god, Vayu. He brings movement, strength and momentum. Whether small shifts, or big immense changes, Vayu inevitably offers something different. Where are you directing these winds of change in your life? What direction are your sails taking you in? Are you being conscious about your path or just going wherever the wind takes you? Vayu is also connected to Prana, the life force energy and inner winds. If you do not direct the Prana within, your energy will be wasted unnecessarily. Honor your inner Vayu and direct this life force energy through yoga, movement, pranayama, proper diet and meditation. Balance rest and activity and don't deplete yourself. As a Rudra, Vayu offers immense strength and power. He is one of the eight Vasu Devas, or sources of illumination. Often Vayu will not support grounding, landing or stability as his nature is to move frequently and be like the air- always moving. Staying grounded under the influence of Vayu is a challenge and requires diligence and intention. Honor your emotions and don't neglect your feelings as Vayu can cool off the emotional body excessively. Your inner winds may be Vata aggravating in the cycle ahead. Land in the body and attend to your emotional body consistently. In the cycle ahead, expand your reach and broaden your dreams and desires. Take bold action steps and reach out to new people. New actions and choices, will yield new and different results. Relationships become vital resources in the coming days. Let them teach you more about yourself and your needs. Get clear on what feels supportive, solid and safe. Expand what you believe is possible for yourself and your life. Where are you staying grounded, when you should be moving? Where are you moving, when you should be staying grounded? Seek balance, integration, the middle way. Identify where you are lost in binaries, polarities and right and wrong. Is there another way to see this situation? Is there another possible option beyond black and white mentality? Crack open your belief systems and ideologies. Expand your options. Seek help, resources and guidance for the journey and don't limit yourself. Love yourself and allow yourself to receive love and support from others. Rahu has entered the sattvic and nourishing constellation of Pushya nakshatra (mean node calculations). He will be here until December of this year. Rahu amplifies and intensifies whatever he comes into contact with. Emotions have been bigger and more volatile since he entered Moon's sign of Cancer many months ago. The shift out of Ashlesha and into Pushya will bring a softening and nourishing quality that has been missing in the emotional body. Pushya is a Laghu constellation, meaning light, graceful, easy and quick. This is a powerful contrast with the past many months of Ashlesha which is a Tikshna constellation- sharp and dreadful- especially impacting the mind. Pushya nakshatra is ruled by the planet Saturn which expresses the need for contraction, structure and honoring your grief. Brihaspati is the ruling deity- a personification of the planet Jupiter. Jupiter brings expansion, benevolence, the wisdom and nourishment of a sattvic Guru. Thus, Pushya expresses the balance and integration that arrives when we honor both expansion and contraction. This is the wisdom of the emotional body, the journey of life and grief, the breath, cycles and rhythms of the Moon and nature. In the coming months, honoring the emotional body is key. Clarify and release toxic, adharmic mental/emotional body stories, beliefs and choices. Seek balance, harmony, ease and gentleness. Honor lightness and simplicity. Not through bypassing the shadow, but in honoring the duality of life- both shadow and light. Honor your gurus, seek nourishing wisdom, guidance and support. Move towards grace, ease and simplicity. Rahu in Pushya can support nourishing expansion- if the contraction and release qualities are also honored and acknowledged. What needs to be closed, released and let go of, in order to make space for more of what you want and need? Notice where Cancer lives in your Jyotish chart. This is the area of your life that Rahu's transit through Pushya will support you. Set your intentions and clarify your desires for the coming months. This is a powerful time to gather more resources, support and guidance and deepen your self growth. What needs are surfacing? What support do you need for your journey right now? Creative Ritual Pelvis is our creative energy center, our fertility zone. Use this body part for the focus of your body part dance and notice the connection to spine (strength, flexibility) that it offers. Note how these two co-create and are essentially interrelated. 1) Spend 10-20 minutes moving the body any way that feels good to you. As you move, notice the impulse that sparks your movement. Keep tracking sensations in your pelvis and spine as you move. What do you notice? How does it feel? 2) Create an image of the feeling that emerged in your movement exploration. How did it feel? Spend 10-20 minutes creating an image of the feeling in your pelvis and spine. Use colors, images, shapes and textures to create your image. Use any art medium that inspires you. Title your image. Then ask it to share with you. If your image could speak to you, what would it say? 3) Harvest some insights from this process. In your journal, answer these questions from the perspective of your pelvis and spine image: I am I want I need Where do I feel supported in my life? Where do I need more support in my life? I am on a mission to help sensitive souls connect with their inner truth and inner wisdom. To connect with purpose and dharma. We need you now more than ever!
