It's the season of grief.
Fall brings the reminder of death- forcing us to attend to transition and change. The Equinox marks a shift in polarities, while Navaratri (the Nine Days of Mother Divine in the Vedic tradition) echos the powerful spiritual changes at play in nature right now. Personally, fall is an especially poignant time, as it marks the sudden passing of my mother. |
I can't help but feel the sting of the seasonal changes and a deep emotional response as a result.
