This Week's Intention: The deeper the release, the deeper the opening. How open and available are you for change? Monday begins with a waning Moon in Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna's domain. His symbol is an empty circle and he is connected to restraint. Varuna brings strong resistance at times but may be helpful with creating healthy boundaries. Are you resisting or avoiding? Are you conscious of this or pushing vital nourishment away? How can you say "yes and..." today- inviting in deeper nourishment yet also letting go of what no longer serves your truest needs? Say yes and stay open to possibilities for more of what truly serves you. Dance with both, with possibilities, with hope and trust the support to hold you. Just as Tuesday arrives, Moon moves to Purvabhadrapada nakshatra. Ajaikapada, another expression of Lord of the Dance, reminds us of the delicate dance of life. He helps us balance challenge and defeat mighty odds. He reminds us that we can stay grounded and rooted, while preparing for change and transition. He is here and he is there. Where are you? How are you staying grounded, yet open for change? As evening arrives, Moon shifts to Pisces, joining Ketu in this sign, while also receiving drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. Our emotional bodies become extra sensitive in the coming days. Self care is essential. Just before Wednesday begins, Moon moves to the latter half of the bhadrapada constellation, Uttarahadrapada, and the serpent of the deep, Ahirbudhnya enters with his deep inquiry and investigative awareness. Moon and Ketu are in exact conjunction today, creating extra sensitivity and the potential for abrupt shifts and changes in our emotional body. Tend to your inner needs, rest and do self care. Take time for a four level check-in and also for meditation today. Moon shifts to Revati nakshatra around midnight and greater nourishment arrives. Revati rules the day on Thursday, with its deity, Pushan, supporting our path with blessings, safety and fruitful offerings. As Moon moves away from Ketu, the rawness of our emotional body begins to re-stabalize. Mercury goes direct at 15:30 and the mental body resumes a forward inclination. Greater support and nourishment will be available now that we exit sheer clean-up mode. Enjoy the mental space and notice the mind clutter you removed during the past few weeks! Now is the time to get extra creative, more communicative and move towards new connections and collaborations. Moon is at the end of the zodiac now, symbolizing completion and release, letting go, and the finality of a cycle. Ready for the new? The new Moon is on the rise. We are each preparing for new beginnings with extra release right now. Pay special attention to loss and grief while tending to sadness that is emerging. The emotional body has much to share with us during this cycle. Just before Friday arrives, Moon jumps into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra. New beginnings, arrivals and openings enter. What are you inviting in? What needs to be tended to and released still for greater wholeness? The Ashwini-Kumara twins, ruling deities of this constellation, help us restore and revitalize with healing remedies, the arts, creative powers and rejuvenation. Tend to your physical body today and help it release and restore. As evening approaches, Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra. The transformative powers of Bharani nakshatra and its deity Yama, provide insights into our release and letting go process on Saturday. This is a fierce yet sensitive nakshatra, one that can ride the edge of hard and soft. Use your strength to make clear, executive decisions today that nurture your highest good. Notice where you are resisting and not allowing for greater nourishment to enter. As Moon moves through Aries, we may feel the increased pressure and frustration around support and nourishment. Trust and surrender, but tend to the emotions emerging. Early evening Moon shifts to Krittika at the edge of Aries, with an invitation for more clarity. Just as Sunday begins, the Moon shifts into its exaltation sign, Taurus, joining Sun, Mercury and Mars here. All receive gaze from Rahu and Saturn which undermines and intensifies our need for comfort and nourishment right now. Sunday requests that we purify and release with the help of Krittika nakshatra, which will continue to prepare us for the new Moon on Tuesday. Ruling deity, Agni, offers the added benefit of deeper insight and clarity right now. Purify, transform and let alchemy work its magic on your change process. Support the change process by intentionally attending to your own fire of life, your digestive fire. Sun and Mars are sandhi at the edge of Taurus. Monday arrives with Moon in its mulitrikona sign as Mars and Sun jump to Gemini. The emotional body is hot and focused on expansion. Where are you feeling suppressed? What needs do you have for expansion? Move towards the nourishment. *Time zone used for calculations is in Pacific Daylight Time unless otherwise noted. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Moon is waxing and the week starts off with Moon entering the beginning of the zodiac, Aries. Fresh beginnings and new starts are here! Mercury is retrograde, as is Jupiter, which makes for a sensation of expanding in reverse. Use this time for clean up and organization. *** As of this week, I'll be shifting my posts to reflect my current time zone- Pacific Standard. Please note the changes and updated time difference in regard to your own location. *** Monday, January 26th Today's Intention: Re-new and become new by re-imagining the old. Just minutes after midnight, Moon hops into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra, inviting in the Ashvini Kumara twins. They offer us healing, rejuvenation- and increased creativity as a result. Take action steps today that offer healing and restoration to you. With Moon out of the gaze of other planets, we may feel an increased awakening, room for possibility and greater expansion. The expansion is possible through re-tracing your steps, going over old territory, inviting in the old, but restructuring it to make it new. Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra at 21:39 PST. Tuesday, January 27th Today's Intention: Plot, hunt and focus on your goals with tenacity. Moon transits Bharani nakshatra, Yama and Venus's domain. As the king of dharma, Yama determines whether our efforts are worthy of our time in this life, or whether we missed the mark. His ability to restrain us from overindulgence can keep us from misery. There is a certain one-pointedness available to us today, as well as a warrior spirit. Make sure your energy and efforts align with your long term goals and desires- the ones that have depth and purpose for your life. The auspicious ninth tithi or Moon phase, Navami, is enlivened today. It is connected to the Sun and the deity Naga, which can help us awaken some depth and awareness. Venus moves to Satabisha nakshatra at 20:51 PST, enlivening Varuna, the deity who rules over judgement and deep vision. Varuna handles Natural Law and enforces them by handing us our karmas, our actions and re-actions. It is very important to pay close attention to subtleties at this time, to deeply listen, in order to awaken to the truths of Nature. This awareness can help us re-establish a sense of order in our lives. Not out of fear or punishment, sacrifice or pain, but because we naturally align with Nature and her laws of wisdom and truth. As Venus transit through Satabisha, our inner creative waters can find more grace, fluidity and intensity simultaneously. Use this time to make an impact on your life. Take strong action and do what you know is best for yourself and others. Study the transits, learn the wisdom of jyotish, gather insights for your healing and transformation in my new class series: Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing. First class is this Sunday and registration ends Friday. Sign Up. Moon moves to Krittika, near the edge of Aries, at 21:36 PST. Wednesday, January 28th Today's Intention: Wield your sword with confidence. Moon transits Krittika nakshatra and jumps into Taurus at 03:41 am PST, becoming exalted for a few hours- until late morning. Agni is the ruler of this constellation and offers us a sharp transformation through purification processes. The emotional body fullness will be felt strongly so prepare for emotional diligence today. With Saturn giving direct gaze to the Moon from Scorpio, we can expect an underlying depression or fear to settle in. Mars and Rahu also give their gaze to the Moon, offering a strong edge with a dose of shadow. The mental body plays a role in the experience of the emotions today because of Mercury's conjunction with the Sun (Krittika's ruling planet); this increases our mental sharpness. We can direct this focus into meaningful tasks, or let it take us down the rabbit hole. Don't get caught up in "shoulda, coulda, woulda" today. Be diligent with your 3 level check-in so that you can easily navigate your inner dialogue. Need a reminder about the three levels? Moon shifts to Rohini at 22:06 PST. Thursday, January 29th Today's Intention: Make a greater creative impact today. Moon is considered in its mulitrikona sign as it transits through the remainder of Taurus. This is a place that the Moon can more fully express its creativity, sensuality, charisma and playfulness. Mulitrikona placement offers a planet the ability to express their energy at 75%. As Moon transits through Rohini, creative themes are exemplified. Rohini is ruled by lord Brahma, the ultimate God expression of creativity. By now, we have been feeling the refinement process of Moon receiving gaze from Saturn, Rahu and Mars. Today, we have a more porous experience, and less rigidity than yesterday. Let the wisdom seep into your pores. How is the struggle softening you, awakening you, opening you to possibility? Use this to spark your creative energy and focus your expansion efforts. Expand your creative channels and let the life pulse through you. Moon shifts into Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 23:06 PST. Friday, January 30th Today's Intention: Extend your branches into new realms. Mars moves to Purvabhadrapada today, enlivening Ajaikapada, the domain of Shiva, lord of the dance. It will be our tenacity, our warrior spirit and our action steps, that will help us accomplish seemingly impossible feats in the coming weeks. Ajaikapada stands with one foot firmly grounded, rooted in the earth, while the other foot is lifted, poised and ready to take a step. This represents continual movement, growth and change, as well as balancing the impossible. Symbolically, one foot is firmly grounded in the now, while the other is lifted into the unknown. Use very conscious action steps in the coming two weeks. Be diligent, conscious, strategic and poised for action. Moon transits through the latter half of Taurus and is in Mrigashirsha nakshatra today. The deity of this nakshatra is Soma, while the symbol is a deer head with large, reaching antlers. The ruling planet of Mrigashirsha is Mars, while the deity, Soma is connected to the Moon. The combination of elements and symbols here expresses much movement, change and growth as a result of the constant movement. Like antlers that continue to spread out and expand, then drop off, only to re-grow, we can connect with these cycles of renewal for our own life expansion. This is literally how we are fed and nourished by life. Last day to register for my new class offering, Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing!! Register here. Moon moves to Gemini at 11:45 am PST. Saturday, January 31st Today's Intention: Channel the power of your inner volcano and move mountains. Moon shifts into Ardra nakshatra just after midnight at 00:31 am PST, inviting in Rudra's powerful and tenacious strength and grande emotional waves. He moves things with his strength and ferocity which often stirs our anger and rage. Anger is connected to our power source within and must be treated as a flashing red light of awakening. What slumber do you need to awaken from? What is holding you back? What part of you is holding you back from experiencing your fullness? Now is the time to clear and clean up the mental body. The old stories and illusions that are keeping you from realizing your full potential. Track your mental body diligently today and see where it is causing eruptions. Sunday, February 1st Today's Intention: Expand what you think is possible. Moon moves to Punarvasu nakshatra at 02:21 am PST, and Aditi is ushered in. To smooth out the ruffles of yesterday, Aditi arrives to create expansion and awareness from the rubble within. She knits us back together with her wholeness, her unity consciousness. From this wholeness we get our needs met, we get the nourishment we need and our needs are taken care of. Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing begins today at 3pm PST. Did you register? Moon moves to Cancer at 21:56 PST. Monday, February 2nd Moon transits through its own sign, Cancer, with retrograde Jupiter here as well. Both receive drishti from conjunct Sun and Mercury. Nourishment deepens as we reflect on our deepest needs and desires. What serves us and what is not serving us? What can we clean up within our heart in order to clean up our life and properly expand? My Jyotish Basics Classes begin this Sunday, February 1st! Don't miss out on these transformational and healing classes. Get the details.

Please share it with a friend! Thank you. The week begins with a deep, waning Moon. New Moon is Tuesday morning while in Capricorn. Capricorn is the center of attention right now and presents us with themes for the coming waxing cycle. Read more here. Two big shifts this week- Mercury goes retrograde and Venus moves to Aquarius. Later in the week, Aquarius asks for our attention as Venus moves to this sign, where Mars is already, and Moon passes through as well. Monday, January 19th Today's Intention: Purify, cleanse and restore. As Moon continues to transit Sagittarius and PurvaAshada nakshatra, there is a deepening of release happening. Let the release come through purifying and cleansing practices, through ritual and sacred acts. Use water and the emotional body tides to inspire the purification process. Be gentle and nourishing to yourself and others today. Do so by listening deeply to your emotional body wisdom. Moon enters the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waning cycle, and shifts into UttaraAshada nakshatra at 16:04 CST, inviting in the Vishva Devas and a strong sense of integrity. What drives you and motivates you to be the best you? What are the best parts of yourself that you wish to share with the world? Tuesday, January 20th Today's Intention: Get clear and get focused, but don't forget to leave room for daydreams. Moon transits Capricorn and UttaraAshada nakshatra with Sun, Mercury and Venus in Capricorn as well. Rahu, Jupiter and Saturn all give their drishti to these four planets. Feeling pulled in too many directions? Too many irons in the fire? The hardest thing to do right now is simplify. Do your best. New Moon is at 07:14 am CST while in Capricorn and UttaraAshada. This is a very powerful new Moon with strong Capricorn themes. Strong creativity is available to us and can be maximized with a strong, clear and direct channel. Give your creativity purpose and clarity and you can enlarge what is possible for your self. This is a time where we are learning to direct our flow. Read more about this new Moon and the intention for the coming waxing cycle. Moon shifts into Sravana nakshatra at 13:28 CST, enlivening Vishnu and his expansiveness. Mercury is here as well, which invites in creative expansion from the mental body level. Let the mind, the imagination, expand your life vision, your sense of purpose and dharma. Solidify your intention and expand your container of what is possible for yourself. Wednesday, January 21st Today's Intention: Your only job is to share your life light. Mercury goes retrograde at 09:51 am CST and will be moving back through Capricorn now until February 11th. Despite what many believe, retrograde cycles are not chaos cycles where life goes haywire. They are, however, cycles for us to re-trace our steps, recycle our thoughts and intentions, and to clean up any details we may have missed on the first go round. In fact, these rewind cycles are a gift! If we use these cycles intentionally, we get a chance to re-do what we may have neglected previously. Read more about retrograde Mercury cycles. The retrograde planet will determine what we are re-examining, and how that shows up for us in our life experience. Mercury is the planet that correlates to our mental body, our imaginal realms. It is the planet of communication, commerce, writing and connecting. It likes to speak, share, create and co-create. As Mercury will be walking back through Capricorn for the next three weeks, this is an ideal time to find very clear containers, structures and frames for your creativity, communication and connection. Retrograde Jupiter gives his drishti to Mercury at this time, creating a double return of old territory, including emotional body wisdom and themes connected to heart and home. Boundary work is essential right now. Think in terms of organizing all aspects of your life and tidying up old, dusty corners of you mind. If life is a closet, go to Ikea and get the proper shelving and filing systems for yourself. If the closet is the mind, get clear and organized about what "best practice" is for yourself in work, career and your life offerings. Re-commit to enlivening your dreams and making them real. Keep moving towards what makes your heart full of joy. Your passions are your life's work. Make space for them. Take intentional action steps and don't waste energy unnecessarily. Track your emotional and mental bodies for insights. Shortly after Mercury goes retrograde, Moon shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra at 10:42 am CST, home of the Vasu Devas, the shining stars. Creativity, light and sharing one's light are all assisted by the Vasu Devas. As we shine our light, our innate gifts and dharmic purpose, we gain and acquire increased support and assistance, abundance and prosperity. Authentically offering one's inner light, attracts more of the same. We can give thanks to the Vasu Devas for their support with this shining process. Today, re-visit your life message, your light message, what makes life worth living. Hone your intention for being alive. Moon moves to Aquarius at 21:19 CST, joining Mars here. Thursday, January 22nd Today's Intention: Look for sparks and let them inspire your healing. Moon is waxing now and enters the third tithi (tritiya) today. As Moon moves into Satabisha nakshatra at 07:57 am CST, Varuna and Rahu are enlivened. Moon conjoins Mars in Aquarius which intensifies our emotional body experience with a range of feelings from agitation and anger, to passion and ferocity. Varuna can provoke a deep inner awareness and help us align more intentionally with the Laws of Nature. Emotional body depth is increased today, so utilize this for greater awareness about your needs. Allow the emotional body to intensify your inner vision more deeply. Harvest your findings and extract them for healing. What do your emotions tell you about what is working in your life? What do they tell you is not working? What or who, is the emotion directed towards? What is the underlying need for nourishment and support under this emotion? Seek the wisdom of your inner tides and use this to spark increased consciousness, depth and healing. Or you could just stay angry. Need a step by step ritual to help you identify what you need? Do a three level check in. Venus moves to Aquarius at 14:30 CST, joining Moon and Mars here as well. With Venus transiting Dhanishta nakshatra still (a Mars ruled star) there is an increased sense of passion and intensity with all things creative, relational and feminine today. Bottle this and dole it out slowly in the coming weeks! Venus chases Mars through Aquarius for the next three weeks before Mars moves into Pisces on February 11th. This combination makes for a fire and water dance that can help us intensify our passion, or help us get burned by it. The way to work with this energy is to channel it into proper containers- unique, new and different types of containers. This is an opportunity for us to maximize our creativity, to increase our passion, and to ignite our desires. How we use this heightened passion is really important. Do we use it to awaken? Or do we let our creative energy go off like a firecracker, then dissolve into burn out? Relationships may come on strong at this time so direct the flow of love and channel it intentionally. Let all love flow to the heart. Even the strictly second chakra kind! Friday, January 23rd Today's Intention: Walking leads to dancing. Do both. Moon shifts into PurvaBhadrapada nakshatra at 05:25 am CST and Ajaikapada and Jupiter rise into our day. Ajaikapada is a Rudra, which means he has immense strength and power. He stands on on one leg- one foot firmly grounded, the other one in the air poised and ready to step. Symbolically, one foot is here, while the other is in another realm. This nakshatra has to do with endings, transformations, and the purification that occurs during this process. It is not the easy part, but the necessary part. When life feels challenging, like it's a struggle, it is usually because we've outgrown some old aspect of ourselves. Every ending leads to a new beginning. As the saying goes, when you're walking through hell, just keep walking. Today, step intentionally and invite in your new sacred dance. It is the day of Venus (Friday) and Venus is in young degrees, having newly entered Aquarius. Be gentle with your relationships today and attend to self care needs through creativity, dance and nature. Ground through the creative and sync up with your inner waters. Moon is waxing and shifts into the 5th tithi (lunar phase) late in the evening. This marks the first third of the waxing cycle. Moon moves to Pisces at 21:43 CST. Saturday, January 24th Today's Intention: Heal and transform by deeply letting go. Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada stars at 03:12 am CST, enlivening UttaraBhadrapada and Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the deep. This serpent energy helps us go beyond the surface, to explore parts of ourselves that may go unnoticed or unattended. The symbol of the Bhadrapadas is the funeral cot. As the latter half of this constellation, UttaraBhadrapada rules over the back half of the funeral cot, or the final letting go. There is some release possible today, if we are willing to go deep into our subconscious, our mental body, for further inquiry. With retrograde Mercury well under way, now is the time to be intentional with re-visiting your old, outworn thinking patterns. As Saturn rules the day and this nakshatra, using the physical body to help you access your inner depths will be extra potent. Use gentle movement and embodiment practices to help you get there. Sun moves to Sravana nakshatra at 03:17 am CST, joining a tight conjunction with retrograde Mercury there as well. The themes for the coming week are all expansion oriented- on the level of consciousness. Think bigger, and life gets bigger. It's our mental body, our imaginal realm, that can help us create the unseen into manifest form. With this tight conjunction occurring, don't let mental frazzle get the best of you. Mentally fried? It's a good time to meditate, dive deeply, and restore. Then use the clarity to get task oriented and fully organized. Take this reminder into your coming week. Sunday, January 25th Today's Intention: Lead yourself back to the nourishment that's already within you. Moon moves to Revati nakshatra at 01:28 am CST, the final nakshatra in the cosmic wheel, before we start a new cycle. Revati is a nourishing star that provides us with safe and fruitful journey's. Its ruling deity is Pushan, who helps us prosper by leading us back to our flock, back to our path, when we stray. He leads us to the nourishment, the essential ingredients for success. I liken Pushan to our intuition. When we have a strong connection to our intuitive knowing, we can trust ourselves, our choices, our actions, and the universe to provide exactly what we need. Let today inspire this gentle attention to your intuitive wisdom by allowing space for the emotional body to share with you. The mental body will be strong and sharp, with an agenda all of its own. The trick today is to go beyond this and to listen to the wisdom coming from your emotions instead. What nourishment can you gather from this place of deep listening? What does your emotional body share with you about your needs? Do a three level check in for clues. Monday, January 26th Just minutes after midnight, Moon hops into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra, inviting in the Ashvini Kumara twins. They offer us healing, rejuvenation and increased creativity as a result. Take action steps today that offer healing and restoration to you. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. We have just passed the new Moon and Winter Solstice, and now the Moon begins its waxing cycle. The week begins with a sense of deep emptiness, release, and if we are paying attention, the depth of our darkness. It is a magical time in many ways and full of vast potential. As the light begins to slowly return now to our days, I encourage you to be very intentional about what you are filling your cups with- mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. This is a time of potency and we can truly maximize it with intention and action steps. Join me for my workshop, The Essentials for Manifestation and maximize your intentions for 2015! Monday, December 22nd Today's Intention: It takes two to tango. Moon continues after the new Moon + Solstice through Mula nakshatra, with Sun here as well. The cutting and clearing continues until Moon shifts into PurvaAshada at 07:42 am CST, enlivening Apas, the water goddess and Venus. As Moon shifts into Apas's domain, we suddenly have three levels of water happening cosmically within Sagittarius. Both Venus and Mercury are also in PurvaAshada right now as the congestion of planets through Sagittarius continues. There is a dance occurring between Venus (three planets in PurvaAshada) and Jupiter (ruling planet of Sagittarius) right now that is effecting our material and spiritual bodies. Venus represents our asura (demon) energy, which is highly tethered to the earth plane and our manifestation process here. Jupiter on the other hand is knowledge based, connected to Akasha (space) and represents our deva (god) energy. We may be feeling this inner battle playing out within us between good thoughts and bad thoughts. Our wants and desires vs. what we are able to manifest. We may also be experiencing this as a battle of what is "right" and "wrong" going on within us. Some may literally be experiencing battles with demons in more confrontational ways. This is the battle of light and dark, shadow and light, our polarities. We can't get rid of either one, so now is the time to learn how to integrate these very different parts of ourselves. Tuesday, December 23rd Today's Intention: Harness the fire and let it guide you towards your awakening. Moon shifts into UttaraAshada, at 05:40 am CST, enlivening the Vishvadevas, or the "all-gods". The Vishva Devas are essentially the Laws of of Nature personified as devas. This nakshatra helps us enliven our good qualities, and find success through our light. You will likely feel the shift towards hope, possibility and greater support today. Maximize this and get clear on your goals and intentions for the new year. Sign up for my Essentials for Manifestation Workshop and transform your obstacles into clarity. Moon shifts into Capricorn at 11:08 am CST, joining exalted Mars there. Rahu and Jupiter give their drishti as well. The Dance of demon and asura in our emotional body continues. Whenever we have a conjunction of Mars and Moon, we have the opportunity to tap into a surge of our life giving passion. Often we feel this as rage and anger, but what is under this raw anger is raw passion, life force; divine life force from the energetics of MA. Use this power to take a powerful action step today that will move you closer to your dreams, goals and visions. Often we have to first encounter all that is not working, all that is holding us back from our true potential, in order to get to our true desire and need. I encourage you to dive deep, beyond the rage and look for the gift of your passion. What is your greatest need and desire? What are you willing to do in order to get this manifested? Wednesday, December 24th Today's Intention: Make your steps count! Moon travels through the sacred 28th nakshatra, Abhijit, in the early morning hours before it shifts into Sravana nakshatra at 03:29 am CST, joining exalted Mars in this nakshatra as well. The power and intensity of the emotional body is provoked today as Vishnu and the Moon are enlivened. The theme today is taking three steps- one for each, earth, sky and heaven- as Vishnu did. Let his "three steps" be metaphoric for you today. What are you stepping away from? Where are you standing right now? And what are you moving towards? With Moon and Mars in exact conjunction today, it is an ideal time for powerful action steps. What steps are you taking right now to maximize your life, your potential, your possibilities? For those of you who are truly ready to up level your new year, please join me for my Essentials for Manifestation Workshop! My early bird rate ends tonight at midnight!! Thursday, December 25th Today's Intention: Keep your light on. Moon has crossed over Mars now and jumps into Dhanishta nakshatra at 01:19 am CST, enlivening the Vasu Devas. These are the eight shining stars that bring light, prosperity and illumination to us. They help us transform, change and manifest through their light, helping us truly "shed light" on situations and experiences. Moon is still closely conjunct Mars until later in the day, so be mindful of the emotional body heat and charge available today. Tending to your needs, and honoring yourself through moments of self care will go a long way in keeping you cool and calm, and to keep your light shining. Is it time for a three level check-in?! Moon jumps into Aquarius at 12:17 CST, the domain of Saturn and Rahu, but is out of the gaze of any of the planets. Moon moves to Satabisha nakshatra at 23:18 CST. Friday, December 26th Today's Intention: Prioritize your life and put your self first. Moon transits Satabisha nakshatra in Aquarius, which is a nakshatra ruled by Varuna and Rahu. This star brings an energy of punishment and a necessity for following Natural Laws. Varuna has a thousand eyes and he sees everything- all wrongs especially- and doesn't have a problem showing you your fate. It's especially important to mind your health on Satabisha days and mind the laws of Nature as well. For some, today may feel like a big let down after days of celebration. The collapse after the expansion so to speak. Some may feel this in their body and experience the necessity for getting back on a more healthy and nourishing diet. Some may feel this as mental overwhelm as the to-do lists get longer. Others may feel this express itself as emotional depletion; too much of everything. Make today a self care day. One that nourishes the mental, emotional and physical bodies. I encourage you to use an exercise known as "emptying the head" by writing down all that you have to do on a piece of paper. Circle the top three to five priorities for today and get them done. For those who are ready to make 2015 truly count, join me for my three hour Manifestation class this Sunday! I'll be sharing resources, tools and my transformational process with you in order to make this your best year yet! Moon moves to PurvaBhadra nakshatra at 21:32 CST. Venus moves to UttaraAshada nakshatra at 23:02 CST, inviting in the Vishva Devas and breaks up the trifecta of planets in PurvaAshada. As Venus shifts into the domain of the Vishva Devas, an element of Sun increases, as well as our intensified desire for transformation, change and increased greatness. The coming weeks provide us with the ability to move closer to our desires, by following dharma, passion and our dreams. We will have to make changes in order to make this happen, so be sure you are adjusting your actions accordingly. As the saying goes "some people have dreams, and others stay awake to make them happen." Make your actions count right now and get focused on your transformation process. Saturday, December 27th Today's Intention: Keep one foot on the earth and one foot stepping towards heaven and your dreams. Moon transits PurvaBhadra nakshatra, inviting in the blessings of Ajaikapada and Jupiter. Aja is a Rudra (those who have immense strength) but is also considered a form of Shiva and a form of the Sun. It is known that Aja has the ability to cast off evil, and thus this is a nakshatra of purification. Often PurvaBhadra brings challenges, but as a result of these hardships, we are given opportunities to transform and change. The strength and power of the Rudra energy helps the transformation process occur. Today, retrograde Jupiter will be reminding us to re-visit some parts of ourselves on the mental and emotional body levels. If we are paying attention, we can start our transformation process and take steps to find greater balance, awareness and well being. Mars moves to Dhanishta nakshatra today at 13:34 CST and will transit the abode of the Vasu Devas for just under three weeks. The Vasu Devas bring us light, illumination and vision. They offer us prosperity and the ability to manifest on the material plane of existence, thus they are very materialistic in their support. Quite literally, "the world dwells in them and they dwell in the world." The Vasu Devas originated from jyoti (light) and spark the light within Jyotish. The coming weeks will bring increased opportunities for manifesting our desires, inspiring creativity and helping each one of us shine from the inside out. Because Mars is transiting this nakshatra, the light we express and the light we receive will be a direct result of our action steps! Here's to your powerful action steps and to the increasing light! This is an excellent time to create clarity about how you want to move forward in your life. Are you ready to make 2015 your year of transformation and manifestation? Then you're ready for my Essentials for Manifestation Class. This is the last day to register! Moon moves to Pisces at 14:26 CST, joining Ketu here and into Uttarabhadra nakshatra at 20:07 CST. Sunday, December 28th Today's Intention: Unwrapping your gifts requires your willingness to dive into the depths of your being. Moon transits Pisces with Ketu and receives drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. As Moon moves through Uttarabhadra nakshatra, the serpent of the nether realms, Ahirbudhnya, and Saturn are activated. We are given an opportunity to dive deep today. To go deeply into our subconscious terrain and transform our challenges, misfortunes and obstacles. Ahirbudhnya is a Rudra (much strength and power) as well as a Naga- a serpent that is connected to Ketu and our awakening process. With Moon and Ketu conjunct in Pisces right now, opportunities arrive for us to awaken and transform quickly. Be intentional with your obstacles today. How are these challenges really gifts in disguise? What are you willing to do in order to unwrap these gifts? It is a perfect day to be in my Essentials of Manifestation Workshop. We will be doing just this! I will be sharing with you all the resources and tools I use to transform my obstacles into gifts, in order to create your one precious and powerful life! Moon moves into Revati nakshatra at 19:04 CST and Pushan is activated. Nourishment and prosperity increases through this nakshatra as Pushan is a protective force who helps us on our path, our life travels. Moon nears exact conjunction with Ketu and our sensitivity increases. This is a time to be checking in with your emotional body wisdom and resourcing from your increased feelings. Use this time for awakening to your deep needs and get the nourishment you need. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me.
Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. This is a powerful week! Mercury is retrograde, and the full Moon on Wednesday brings with it a full lunar eclipse. We enter a delicate two week period between lunar and solar eclipses at this time. Take this into consideration with your actions and intentions. We are working with shadow and illusions in this gap of time. Dance with them intentionally and may you lift the veil of illusion in some new way!
Monday, October 6th Today’s Intention: Take one step at a time. Take each step with intention. Keep your commitment to grounding, while finding your balance. But keep moving. Moon moves to Purvabhadrapada nakshatra at 03:12 am CDT, inviting in Ajaikapada and another level of Jupiter into our day. Moon is receiving drishti from Mars while it transits Aquarius, which offers charge, action and increased fire. Purvabhadrapada is connected to tapas and penance. Ajaikapada is a form of Shiva, lord of the dance, and reminds us of our human capabilities- balancing struggles, challenges and obstacles as we move forward in life. Pada means foot. It is essential to remember slow, simple steps again today. As Ajaikapada dances, he balances, one foot raised, and one foot firmly grounded. There is a certain purpose, a direct gaze (drishti) and a strong commitment that one must have to keep this sense of balance and grounding simultaneously. These are your reminders for today. Slow, steady steps, using great commitment and purpose as you move. Intention will be a poignant reminder as well. Since Ajaikapada is a Rudra, there is immense strength available here. At what costs are you willing to move forward? Lighten your load, it will make it easier to dance through life. Moon moves to Pisces at 19:25 CDT, joining Ketu there. Moon receives drishti from debilitated Venus, Sun and also Rahu, as well as Jupiter from nine houses away. This will intensify our experience over the next few days leading into the full Moon. More on this in my upcoming Moon Mind Calendar and Full Moon Wisdom article. Tuesday October, 7th Today's Intention: The desire to change ourselves and our lives, requires that we dig deeply down into our depths. Moon transits Pisces with Ketu there as well. Moon and Ketu both receive ample gaze from debilitated Venus, Sun and also Rahu, as well as Jupiter from nine houses away. This will intensify our experience over the next few days leading into the full Moon tomorrow. Just after midnight, Moon jumps into Uttarabhadrapada at 00:51 am CDT. This nakshatra is the latter half of the bhadrapada constellation which symbolizes the front half and back half of a funeral cot; death, transformation and letting go are the focus here. Uttarabhadrapada is ruled by Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the deep. He is a naga serpent connected to wisdom (not a sarpa serpent connected to illusions) which indicates his immense and vast knowledge- knowledge and wisdom that must be excavated deeply for. He is connected to our subconscious mind, the pieces of our being that are ruling us, but that we must work hard to uncover and transform. He is a serpent, but a serpent we can work with, learn and grow from. The back legs of a funeral cot symbolize that Uttarabhadrapada is helping us liberate, let go of and let the pieces of our story move, change and release. Yesterday we began a very intentional dance- moving us towards the full Moon lunar eclipse and waning Moon cycle. Today, let that dance transform into a very intentional release. What shadows and demons are you ready to release, transform and let go of? The Moon is already in the 15th tithi, the final phase of its waxing phase. Our cups are full and overflowing. It's time to release and let go. Do this with poignancy, intention and commitment as we embark on this final eclipse cycle of the year. Moon moves to Revati nakshatra at 22:38 CDT, nearing exact conjunction with Ketu. Wednesday, October 8th Today's Intention: Total eclipse of the heart. Soften and release, but courageously look at your shadows. Moon will be completely full at 05:49 am CDT while in Pisces and Revati nakshatra. Simultaneously, there will be a lunar eclipse occurring. The eclipse begins at 03:17 am CDT and continues until 08:32 am CDT. The maximum part of the eclipse will be at 05:55 am CDT. Moon in Revati nakshatra at the time of the eclipse in Pisces furthers the symbol of release, endings and letting go while strengthening themes of its ruling planet Mercury. Pushan, the ruling deity of Revati, insures our safe passage and travels, and requests simplicity and purity. He is a protector and helps us find our way back to the path when we are lost. He also can help us retrieve lost or stolen items. This is a special waning Moon cycle that offers us many returns, on multiple levels. Be willing and open to receive messages that will help you strengthen your path, return to and restore your sense of well being, hope and possibility. Be open to comfort and nourishment and reminders that life doesn't have to be hard and forced- it can be lighter and more gentle. This requires us to clear away rubble, debris and anything blocking our path, so vital clearing is truly essential during this eclipse cycle. For full details on the eclipse and the coming waning Moon cycle read my Full Moon Wisdom article. Moon jumps into Aries at 20:44 CDT and into Ashwini nakshatra. Thursday, October 9th Today's Intention: Don't get led by your senses. Reign in your horses. As Moon transits Aries in Ashwini nakshatra, our two week eclipse cycle begins with the Ashwini-Kumara twins leading us towards healing and revitalization. Moon also receives drishti (gaze) directly from exalted Saturn and retrograde Mercury. The Ashwini twins enliven the healing arts and beckon us to rejuvenate through healing modalities such as rasayana treatments and using the creative arts to spark change and vitality within us. Ayurveda is their domain and strength comes as a gift of their healing, symbolized here by a horse. The Ayurvedic strengthening herb, Ashwagandha, is connected to the horse and the root word ashva. Today, make sure self care is a top priority. The two weeks between lunar and solar eclipse, and also the gap between summer and winter (fall), is a delicate time for health and well being. It's a sandhi time, so treat yourself with extra TLC. Start your fall cleanse today if you haven't already. I'm unveiling my new Swati Jr Jewelry collection today. The new Cosmic Collection is inspired by our dance with the Sun, Moon and Stars. Have you joined my FB event? I'll be giving gifts, incentives, discounts and more! Join the trunk show event and get in on the goodies! Moon moves to Bharani nakshatra at 19:16 CDT. Friday, October 10th Today's Intention: Strength and sensitivity go hand in hand. Your vulnerability is your power. Moon transits Bharani nakshatra, ruled by Yama and Venus. Yama brings restraint and is considered the king of dharma, because he determines your karmas at the time of your death. It is through the self control and restraint he provokes that can keep us out of suffering and sin, our own misery. This is a harsh and aggressive nakshatra, one that is ideal for butchering and killing as well as arguments and attacks. The irony is that it is also an extremely sensitive star as seen through its symbol, the yoni. Strength and sensitivity are the perfect pair. Our shadows, our weaknesses, are indeed our greatest gifts. It takes much courage, strength and power to overcome (to kill) our shadows and illusions. Make your actions count and firmly restrain yourself from being led my your asuras (demons). Purify yourself, but always strive for balance. Sun moves to Chitra nakshatra at 13:41 CDT, joining retrograde Mercury and Rahu in this nakshatra. Ruled by Vishvakarma, this is a nakshatra of action, plans and taking powerful, creative steps. The coming weeks are a time to get powerful and poignant, though as Sun nears Rahu, imbalances in our sense of poignancy may be problematic. If there's hesitancy, confusion or lack of clear direction, these are your shadows at play. If you're pushing too hard and forcing outcomes, you are not aligned with the times. Be bold and passionate with your desires, but make sure you are listening to your emotional body wisdom, your intuition, for guidance. Set goals and priorities and get organized! Get creative as the celestial architect Vishvakarma is here to help you rise and shine! Take some solid action steps towards your visions. This alone might clear the fog. Be diligent with your 3 level check in so you don't mix messages of head and heart. Moon moves to Krittika nakshatra at 18:22 CDT. Saturday, October 11th Today's Intention: In order to gain, we must be prepared to lose something. Moon jumps into its degrees of exaltation and into Taurus just minutes after midnight- at 00:14 am CDT. Exaltation only lasts until 05:34 am CDT, but the Moon will still be in its mulitrikona sign where it can maximize its effects at 75%. With Rahu's drishti on the Moon, watch for big rises and falls. Mars also give his direct gaze, making for a piercing and powerful emotional body. Our Moon tides will be high and low; be mindful of extremes and be diligent with emotional body awareness. Do a 3 level check in so you don't mix messages of head and heart. Moon transits Krittika nakshatra at this time and Agni as well as the Sun share their fire with us. Agni is the fire of life and is a powerful transformational part of our beings. We have many different types of Agni within us. We have much to digest: food, emotions, environments, relationships. Agni helps us burn, clarify and purify all of this in order to help us assimilate the nourishment of life. He brings purification, but he cuts and discards in the process. Within any transformation, there is letting go and loss. Krittika is considered a mixed nakshatra; it is both soft and hard. Though we gain nourishment through Agni, we also have to discard what is unnecessary, not useful for us. Consider this a day of the pruning and purifying process. Moon moves to Rohini at 18:08 CDT. Sunday, October 12th Today's Intention: Merge with your abundant creative flow. Go ahead and get lost in it today. Moon transits Rohini nakshatra and Lord Brahma, as well as the creativity of the Moon, are invited into our day. Moon is still in Taurus, its mulitrikona sign (a strong place for the Moon) while receiving drishti from both Rahu and Mars. Our Moon tides will be high and low; be mindful of extremes and be aware of your emotional body awareness. Be diligent with your 3 level check in so you don't mix messages of head and heart. Rohini is arguably the most creative nakshatra as indicated by its ruler Brahma; he created the universe from his navel after all! It's in this vein, we can create, materialize, and align with our true power as mini gods and goddesses in this life time. Our creativity is in fact our one constant gift- offering possibility and our ability to recreate ourselves and our lives over and over again. Without resiliency and reinventing ourselves, life would be stagnant, without growth, change or abundance. Rohini reminds us to welcome in the flow of creativity, the shakti of life, and to rejoice in the material aspects of life now and again. They are a part of this lila, the play of life, after all. Give thanks for for what flows towards you and through you, and let it continue to flow out into the world. Be that gift. Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 18:38 CDT. Monday, October 13th Today's Intention: Nourish from the inside out. Beauty begins within. Moon transits Mirgashisha nakshatra and Soma (another name for Chandra, the Moon) and also Mars are activated. Nourishment from the divine nectar of Soma is life giving. It lubricates the inner channels of our body and keeps us alive and youthful. Soma is lunar energy, but can be cultivated through the right foods and lifestyle practices. Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra speaks readily about "somagenic" qualities in order to enhance our well being. His lineage, the Shaka Vansya Ayurvedic tradition is a wealth of knowledge for increasing Soma within our bodies, mind and emotions. If you are a Moon child like me, and extra sensitive, you will want to educate yourself on this vital health science. The Moon is a creative and charismatic planet. It's sociable and loves to adorn and be adorned. Moon loves beauty, comfort and nourishment. That is why it is connected to Soma. Build soma within you today with self care, creativity and inviting in the Moon; fill your cup of resiliency. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me.
