Monday, September 8th Today's Intention: Connect with your inner waters- now full and expanded. Attend to your swelling tides and nourish your self through right action. Listen to your emotional body wisdom. Moon transits Aquarius and Satabisha nakshatra. Here in Aquarius, Moon receives drishti (gaze) from Venus and Sun in Leo and also from Mars in Scorpio. Ruled by Varuna, the guardian of universal law, Satabisha is connected to unseen (invisible) obstacles and punishment of wrongs. It is through Rahu that these "wrongs" are found. Aquarius however is ruled by Saturn and Rahu so there is a dualism here. And though Varuna is considered an Aditya (one who provides sustenance and support), he does so in a very Saturn-like way which may feel harsh at times. Today, follow the rules of Saturn and attend to your health and wellness. Let the waters within you flow and align with the Laws of Nature. Keep things simple, attend to self care and be mindful of your health. If you are feeling overwhelmed, do a three level check in and try to attend to your underlying needs for support, comfort and nourishment. Moon moves to Purvabhadrapada nakshatra at 17:02 CDT. Full Moon is in Aquarius and Purvabhadrapada nakshatra on September 8th at 20:38 CDT. The feeling you receive from the Moon may be both depth and pressure as well as increased creativity, curiosity and innovation at this time. Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Rahu which can bring a dualism, a push and pull, as well as polarities. This full Moon brings with it both a desire and a need to attend to our shadows, our haunts and our illusions. The coming waning cycle will be just that- an opportunity for us to face our demons and our challenges with new insights, possibilities as well as hope. This work may directly and indirectly connect to our lineage matters and the pieces that were forcing your attention/intention over the past waxing Moon cycle. Be attentive to the matters of emotion and heart and look for symbols and messages that cross your path. Read more about the wisdom of the Full Moon and how to work with the coming waning Moon cycle. Tuesday, September 9th Today's Intention: Find steadiness through flow. Go to your depths and linger. Swim with the currents- not against them. Moon transits Purvabhadrapada nakshatra until mid afternoon. Apply the wisdom of Ajaikapada to your day. Take slow intentional steps. Honor your path, your dance of life. Dance, walk, and honor your feet. Slow and steady steps will provide balance and awareness as you move forward. Moon moves into Pisces at 08:59 am CDT, joining Ketu here. Both receive drishti from Rahu and exalted Mercury in Virgo, as well as exalted Jupiter in Cancer. The inner tides are high right now because the Moon is still very full. As Moon moves into the water sign, Pisces, expect some emotional flooding. Let your inner waters move and move you. Are you listening to what your emotions are telling you? Be attentive to the needs under the tears and inner pressure. At 14:20 CDT, Moon moves into the latter half of the funeral cot, Uttarabhadrapada, ruled by Ahirbudhnya. This serpent deity rules the depths, our mystical realms within. As a Rudra, great strength is available through Ahirbudhnya as well as the removal of misfortune and calamity. Today is a great day to see your depths, touch your limits, but move more gently into them. Surrender to your own flow and rhythms. Trust the cycles to move you naturally- without force. Mars moves to Anuradha nakshatra at 18:03 CDT and Mitra enlivens his dance through Scorpio. Friends, details, connections, as well as movement and travel get activated now. Doorways that were previously closed may be opening now. Connect with the right people in order for greater successes. Expand your horizons, reach for your depths, befriend your critic and ask for the support you need to thrive. This is possible with your diligent action steps! Wednesday, September 10th Today's Intention: Be gentle with your mind, body and emotions today. Extra self care and TLC are essential for tending to your sensitivity and receptivity. Moon moves closer to Ketu today and enters Revati nakshatra at 12:00 CDT. Revati is ruled by Pushan, a nourishing and supportive deity who offers support and prosperity for our paths. Ask him for protection on your journey and he will grant you nourishment. When making an offering to him, make sure it does not need to be chewed; he loves milk and porridge. Inner tides are high, the Moon is in a water sign and nearing Ketu, the planet of restructuring. Ketu and Moon bring increased sensitivity, which may be felt through agitation, anger and frustration, resulting in sudden tears. Touch in with your inner waters and your emotional body. A three level check in is essential periodically today. Connect with your emotional body directly and ask it what it needs. Find gentle ways to offer yourself some loving care. Take alone time if necessary and recharge with meditation, a warm bath or some creative harvesting. Use my Full Moon Creative Ritual for insights. Thursday, September 11th Today's Intention: Make self care your top priority today and fill your cup of inner strength. Do at least one thing to nourish your mental body, emotional body and physical body today. As Moon conjuncts with Ketu exactly at 04:46 am CDT, yesterday's suggestions for extra self care and being mindful of sensitivity increase for today- even as Moon begins to separate from the south node. Continuing through Revati nakshatra until 10:11 am CDT, Moon then jumps into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra. This is a tricky junction point (gandanta) in between water (Pisces) and fire (Aries). It's also the movement of Moon into a symbolically hidden realm (12th house matters and Pisces) into the most visible sign of the chart, 1st house and Aries. Be aware that there could be a dramatic shift internally and externally as the Moon shifts- especially because the Moon will be receiving direct gaze from exalted Saturn once in Aries. Ashwini is ruled by Ketu and the Ashwini-Kumara twins, who provide healing and rejuvenation through the healing arts. Strong like a horse, the twins, can provide physical strength and power to us if we use their tools for healing. The arts, music, Ayurveda and rasayana treatments are all part of their tool kit. Today, rejuvenation and self care can go to a deeper level for lasting nourishment and support. Attend to your inner and outer needs diligently today. Let the strength of the Asvini twins help you go the distance. Venus moves into Purvaphalguni nakshatra at 11:16 am CDT. With Sun here as well, we get double the potency from this fertile constellation. Creativity is heightened, as Bhaga offers us fortune and generous opportunities for wealth and prosperity. Increase your flow and passion with arts, dancing, music and creativity right now. Venus is chasing the Sun through the sky these days which is causing our creative waters to increase their passion with the arts, relationships and our sense of self. Fortunately, Sun and Venus are staying about 10 degrees apart for now which keeps the creativity high, without it getting scorched. Use all this extra Venus for greatness. Friday, September 12th Today's Intention: Use art and creativity to transform and transcend. Let go and heal. Multiple levels of Venus are enlivened today! It's Friday, day of Venus, and Sun and Venus are now both in Purvaphalguni nakshatra- ruled by Venus. To add a bit more Venus to the day, the Moon moves into Bharani nakshatra at 09:00 am CDT, also ruled by Venus. Bharani is ruled by Yama, lord of death and king of dharma. He weighs our karmas at the end of our lives and directs our transition into the afterlife. He connects to self control, restraint and morality. Working with Durga can be helpful to overcome the obstacles of Bharani and to help us transform our challenges into learning and growth. Bharani days give us opportunities for "deaths" and transformational experiences. Today, create, share, flow, connect, take strong action steps and move your self today! Get physical and embodied. Don't be surprised by tears, intense emotions, but do work with them consciously. Be willing to navigate the dance between mental, emotional and physical bodies. Have you done a three level check in? Take your harvesting into movement and creative exploration. Get your paints out and explore your emotions. Use water color to work with Venus directly. Saturday, September 13th Today's Intention: Clean and clarify from the inside out. Stoke your inner flames gently. Moon moves into Krittika nakshatra at 08:34 am CDT, enlivening the Sun and Agni on this day of Saturn. While Moon is still transiting Aries, it receives drishti from Saturn which increases sensitivity in our emotional body. It also activates the need for greater embodiment and physical body movement in order to process our emotions more directly. As Agni is the fire of life and responsible for transformations and turning food into our life nourishment, he is an important part of our ability to "digest" life, our experiences and our environment. Tend to your inner flames today and stoke them gently. Fire brings sudden change and cuts attachments so use today intentionally for clearing, cleaning and transforming. Sun moves into Uttaraphalguni at 09:11 am CDT, moving into the latter half of the Phalguni stars. Aryaman offers sustenance, health and physical strength. Let him provide you with the fruits of your labors. Connect, create and relate. Ask the ancestors to guide you with your momentum and building prosperity in the coming weeks. Shine and attract with your light. Attend to and nourish your body. Moon jumps into Taurus at 14:35 CDT and exalts in its position of full expansion. Here, Moon receives drishti from Mars directly and Rahu. This adds a certain intensity to the Moon's experience. Watch for heat, aggression, intense inner flames. You may feel your inner tides increase, expand and swell or extra steam being created! Work directly with your emotions and inner waters and cultivate presence with their needs. Are you befriending your emotions or pushing past them- missing their messages? Sunday, September 14th Today's Intention: Unleash your wild creativity! Spread your wings and fling paint towards the stars. Let your breath move you. Listen to your innate greatness and use your gifts. Moon moves into Rohini nakshatra at 08:55 am CDT and is considered mulitrikona now as it transits through Taurus. Receiving drishti from Mars and Rahu increases the intensity of the Moon and felt senses right now. Are you attending to your needs or pushing past them? Rohini is an intensely creative star. Ruled by Lord Brahma and the Moon, this nakshatra provides palpable creative potential. It was Lord Brahma after all who created the universe from his navel. His wife is goddess Saraswati, the illustrious goddess of wisdom, art, music, and knowledge. Children are also connected to Rohini since creating them is the epitome of human's creative potential and a way to honor the ancestors. Create, move, share, and get inspired today! What brings you joy and harnesses your inner creativity? Dance and sing, draw and paint. Connect and co-create. Let your inner light shine and expand your horizons with your creative acts. Full Moon is in Aquarius and Purvabhadrapada nakshatra on September 8th at 20:38 CDT. Moon in Aquarius receives drishti from Venus and Sun in Leo and also from Mars in Scorpio.
Purvabhadrapada is ruled by Ajaikapada, which often refers to a form of Shiva standing one leg- Nataraja, or lord of the dance. This form of Shiva connects to cycles and rhythms and the continual dance of life, while also being a reminder of sacrifice, penance and tapas. The reminder here is balance- one foot grounding, supporting and rooting into the earth. The other foot lifted, poised for a step, ready for movement and change. As Aja is considered a Rudra, much strength is available here. Strength to persevere, push through obstacles, work with great challenges and cast off evil. Often Purvabhadrapada and Ajaikapada can balance what seems impossible, while maintaining a sense of center and one-pointedness (which is why doctors often have this nakshatra prevalent in their birth charts). The symbol is the front portion of a funeral cot and connects this nakshatra to purification and the losses that are necessary to understand realms beyond the material plane of existence. Use this waning cycle to bring presence to your path, your struggles and challenges. Honor yourself for your steps, your wisdom gained, and the many obstacles you have overcome. Work diligently to both honor your struggles and also reflect on the openings and progress also alive currently in your life. Look for possibilities, doors that are opening and steps you can take towards them. When you feel the burdens and the struggles overwhelming you, dance, walk, move. Work with themes of balance, steadiness, patience, one step at a time. Honor your feet and their wisdom. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. I know many of you use my Moon Mind Calendar diligently to help you navigate your days and weeks! So pleased that my posts are helpful for you.
Doreen says: "I keep the weekly page open so I can read about the day each morning. Thanks for all the work you do and share!" Moon is now waning. We have several several planetary changes this week- Mercury and Sun. My Sensitivity: Be Your Gift Teleclass + Workshop is now open for sign up. $54 early bird special ends Thursday! Truly looking forward to sharing this work with all the sensitive Moon children! As per my Moon Mind Calendar: "Today, be aware of your judgement- the kind you put on your self and the kind you externalize and impose on others. Be aware of the ego telling you its fantasies and notice where your personal stories and mythologies are running the show." Varuna rules the day. The critic. The judge. Tragically, Robin Williams' critic killed him. Bless his soul. Bless his family. And bless all beings who struggle with their critics, their sensitivity, their emotions. I get this fire dance. I have danced with it and continue to. May we all find the tools, resources and support we need in this life. May we learn to dance with our emotions and our demons and our critics, but not let them destroy us. Monday, August 11th Moon is waning now and transits Aquarius, moving into Satabisha nakshatra at 09:02 am CDT. From this place in Aquarius, Moon is out of the gaze of the other planets, however, Rahu is enlivened today through two levels: By being co-ruler of Aquarius and by ruling Satabisha nakshatra. Rahu is our shadow self, our obsessions, desires and karmas. He is worldly- of this world- rather than the spirit realms. On Rahu days, we need to be reminded we may be overzealous on some level. Try to catch your self in the act. As Moon passes through Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna is enlivened. Varuna is the guardian of Natural Law, who has a thousand eyes in order to see everything. Varuna's job is to be the judge and highly discerning. He rules over our fate and also has immense wisdom. He offers us awareness to act accordingly- but do we? Today, be aware of your judgement- the kind you put on your self and the kind you externalize and impose on others. Be aware of the ego telling you its fantasies and notice where your personal stories and mythologies are running the show. Above all, act with integrity, kindness and compassion. Satabisha days also require us to be vigilant with our health. Don't break the rules today or there will be lasting effects. Mercury is sandhi, at the edge of Cancer, poised to move into Leo. Soften the mental body and tap into your emotional/intuitive body. The mind is about to shift gears dramatically so hold onto this feeling while it lasts. Tuesday August, 12th Moon moves to PurvaBhadrapada at 06:11 am CDT while Mercury is at the edge of Cancer. Purvabhadrapada is ruled by Jupiter and Ajaikapada- another name for Nataraja, Lord Shiva. Tapas, rituals, and purification are part of this nakshatras tendencies as well as tantra and black magic. Ajaikapada is considered a Rudra who offers the complexity of both immense strength, yet calamity. It is through the chaos that we are given an opportunity to learn, grow and change our course. There is often a sense with this nakshatra that one is balancing the impossible, or perhaps has a foot in two different realms. Ajaikapada offers us awareness beyond the material plane of existence, depth and both single pointedness as well as balance. Today, notice where you are divided. Where are binary thinking patterns hindering you? The shoulds and the cant's? The black and the white? Where do you need to close doors in order for new one's to open? What do you need to say no to in order to start finding more yes's in your life? Mercury moves to Leo at 10:22 am CDT and jumps into Magha nakshatra. Great awakening or great discomfort? Mercury will be moving through Leo quickly- in just 18 days. Luckily Leo is a friendly sign for him, but the heat turns back up when Sun joins him this week in Leo on 8.16. This will be a strong placement for Leo, Scorpio and Sagittarius especially. Let the mind be bold and active, but keep it reigned in enough so that it doesn't run away with you. We will all need to be working with themes involving boundaries, emotions, and expanding our self awareness- but in a spectrum of ways. Diligence with the mental body is always important. Expect the mind to be laser sharp in the coming weeks. Work with your 3 level check in for further clarity. Moon moves to Pisces at 22:17 CDT, joining Ketu there. Wednesday August, 13th As Moon jumps into Pisces, he joins Ketu. Moon moves into UttaraBhadrapada at 03:43 am CDT, enlivening Saturn and Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the nether regions, hidden realms. He brings depth and knowledge to us through the subconscious. And as all serpents are connected to kundalini, there is great awakening possible through him. Be mindful of your emotions today and pay close attention to your boundaries. Feeling angry and agitated? Where are you saying yes when you should be saying no? Drishti from Jupiter on the Moon and Ketu may be the balm that soothes the sting, but avoid the bite if at all possible. Getting clear on what is nourishing and comforting vs. what are just old patterns and behaviors, is essential. Have you signed up for my Be Your Gift Workshop yet? I've created it especially for those of us who are extra sensitive. Find out more. Thursday, August 14th Moon moves to Revati at 1:48 am CDT, with Ketu in this nakshatra as well- and nearing close conjunction with this moksha planet of restructuring. Revati invites in an extra level of Mercury and the nourisher, Pushan, for our journey. Jupiter's drishti offers expansive awareness, while Rahu's gaze can bring a layer of uncertainty or misinformation. Pushan protects, guides and nourishes our paths and is invoked for safe travels and protection from evil. He brings wealth and blessings of abundant nourishment. He is toothless and requires only soft foods that don't require chewing. Milk is a favorite of his. This is a reminder to us that simple is often the most nourishing and that attending to our health and well being often requires simple foods that are easily digested. Pushan reminds us that eating simply and living simply creates abundance. Keep it simple. Stand in your power. Be bold in your mind and firm in your resolve. Get your needs met by simply being clear with what works and what doesn't work. Cut out what doesn't work. The recipe is simple. Can you take the actions? Moon and Ketu are in exact conjunction at 21:30 CDT. Emotions are sensitive. Tend your needs for comfort and nourishment. Make self care a priority tonight. As the day ends, Sun goes into sandhi (the gap) and moves towards the edge of Cancer. Heart matters intensify. Be clear with your self and others. Boundaries are essential. Sun, Rahu and Ketu are in exact degrees at 23:13 CDT and this continues through the early part of Friday. This can be a trigger point, so be mindful of your heart, emotions and needs for comfort, safety and security. Early bird special ends tonight!! My Sensitivity: Be Your Gift Teleclass + Workshop $54 early bird special ends Thursday at 12:30 pm CDT! Truly looking forward to sharing this work with all the sensitive Moon children! Friday, August 15th Just after midnight, the Moon crosses the tricky threshold from Pisces (water) into Aries (fire) and moves into Ashwini nakshatra. Ketu and the Ashvini Kumara (twin brothers) rule this nakshatra so Ketu's ability to restructure suddenly continues as a theme for our emotional body. For some this will bring flashes of awareness and understanding, for others the blinders may get ripped off in uncomfortable ways. With the tension of Mars and exalted Saturn offering their gaze from seven houses away, the Moon gets a bit of pressure and heat as well. Frustrations? Delays? Changes? All of the above? The underlying theme is healing, rejuvenation, receiving some kind of medicine. What is the medicine you are being offered today? What are the healing modalities being presented? What obstacles are you overcoming and what strengths are you having to use? Heal and be healed. Not by force, but by surrender. Sun is still sandhi, take care of your physical body today. This is an ideal time to harvest somatic awareness especially with Saturn's gaze on the Sun. Have you used my Full Moon Creative Ritual yet? Recycle it if you've already done it. Saturday, August 16th Just minutes after midnight CDT, the Moon hops into Bharani nakshatra and Venus and Yama are energized. Yama is lord of death, but brings us restraint, self control and a sense of duty, as well as a desire to "follow the rules"- or break them! Because Yama is connected to death and the transition into death, transformations and life changes are his domain. He brings about mini "deaths" in our life in order to feel the depth of our humanity. Simultaneously, the yoni is Bharani's symbol and this correlates to great sensitivity. Great strength, change and transformation are available today, but not through great effort. It will be the capacity you have to use your sensitivity as a tool of awareness, to let go of the distractions (internal and external) that will be most effective. Heart, mind and body unite and dance; three levels of awareness. Lead with your heart though and the rest will follow. Note where you can't expand, where the heart refuses to go. Look there for wisdom and death. Sun moves to Leo at 19:21 CDT, its own sign. A passionate month is ahead as Sun ignites in its comfortable fire sign, Leo. Sun joins Mercury there (these two are always chasing each other- mental and physical bodies). Leo connects us to 5th house matters of intuition and intelligence, upper intestine (gut), children, creativity, past life credits and father. Sun helps these areas of our life rise and shine, but hopefully not burn us. Sun and Mercury will be free from the gaze of other planets for this transit, so there's a greater ability for the Sun to shine. Venus will join Sun in Leo on the 31st just after Mercury goes exalted. Put on your sunglasses until 9.16 and focus your efforts and energy at this time. Get clear, get focused, make goals and take action! Sunday, August 17th 21 minutes after midnight CDT, Moon moves to Krittika nakshatra. Sun and Agni heighten, though Sun is barely in Leo. Attention and intention on the physical body is essential today. However, with Sun in the gap newly in Leo, we get a rare opportunity for somatic awareness and insight. Be very gentle in your embodiment work today and harvest your findings. Take your 3 level check in into a somatic exploration and then into a drawing or painting. Once Moon moves into Taurus, it exalts and expands at 06:32 am CDT. Just after noon CDT, Moon moves into its mulitrikona degrees. Still an expansive place for it, yet offers us some room to grow; arguably a better placement then exaltation. Agni reminds us to cut, clear, purify and burn away excess so that what remains is pure. Agni is the transformational fire of life that turns food into a life sustaining tool. His alchemical processes are the essential spark of life and living. The symbol of Krittika is a razor. It's through exactness, and razor sharpness, that we cut to the necessities of life. This is a time to cut out all but the essentials. What are your essentials? For life? For living? For loving? For nourishment and support? Get clear and get the job done. Today offers a rare occurrence: Exalted Moon, Saturn and Jupiter while Sun is in its own sign. May you feel this fullness, flow and expansion and may there be some stability as a result. Enjoy! Next week starts out with this flavor- as Moon transits through Taurus. Let the good times roll- for the moment- and enjoy some essence of comfort and support from the cosmos. Sign up for my Be Your Gift Teleclass and Workshop closes tonight at 12:30 pm CDT. If you are a sensitive type like me, you don't want to miss this one! Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Here we are, after the storm so to speak. Such immense shifts this past week/end. Moon is waning and losing its nectar, its light, drop by drop. The light is lessening now, as we move towards amavasya (emptiness).
Join me on FaceBook during the new Moon for my July New Moon Online Celebration. I'll be offering a special creative ritual, some gifts and incentives for all who enter and so much more. Join me here. Monday, July 14th Moon transits Dhanishta nakshatra and moves into Aquarius at 12:09 pm CDT and is out of the gaze of the other planets. Dhanishta is ruled by the Vasu Devas. These gods bring us shining and prosperity and are connected to jyoti, light. They help us manifest on the material plane of existence. Aum namo bhagavate, vasudevaya calls in this frequency. Rahu and Ketu are in early degrees, still in the sandhi gap, having newly entered Virgo and Pisces. Mars is very young in degrees, having just entered Libra, joining a retrograde Saturn there. Venus gains strength in degrees now in Gemini. Sun moves into sandhi this evening as it prepares to move into Cancer. Multiple planets are doing swift, changeable dances right now. Each of us is likely feeling a mixture of uncertainty and possibility, which offers a sense of excitement. Be sure to take time for the silence and stillness- especially with these planets in sandhi right now. This is sacred ground, where ideas manifest from the Absolute. Go too fast and you'll miss the sacred messages possible right now. There will be plenty of time to take action, but for now basque in the softness and gentle nothingness that is available to us. Gently plant your seeds of desire. Read more about sandhi planets and their impact. Moon moves to Satabisha nakshatra at 22:50 CDT. Tuesday, July 15th Moon transits Satabisha nakshatra ruled by Varuna and Rahu. Varuna guards Natural Law and can heighten our critic as he's known for his judgement. Taking care of health and doing what we know to do, what is best practice and in alignment with universal wisdom, is especially important on Satabisha days. If you find your self in tango with your critic, this is a perfect time to hit the pause button and do a check in. First of all, notice where in the body this critic is working his charm. Do you feel tightness in the chest, shortness of breath or even a headache? The body has wisdom to share with you, so listen up. Start with a three level check in and bring focus to the mental, emotional and physical bodies. Then ask each body for answers: what do I need right now? Find solutions for what plagues with a gentle approach, not forced. The critic often arrives as a form of "protection". What are you seeking protection from? Moon moves to PurvaBhadrapada at 20:30 CDT which invites in a sense of being in two worlds and working with impossible feats. Tonight, take a walk and listen to your feet. Wednesday, July 16th Moon transits PurvaBhadrapada and Ajaikapada is enlivened as well as the planet Jupiter. This lunar constellation refers to a form of Shiva standing on one leg, known as Nataraja, lord of the dance, which essentially refers to this "dance of life" we are all in. What an impossible dance this is! A balancing act, a grounding at times, and a moving and lifting our feet into the unknown at other times- each step uncertain and yet full of potential. What are you stepping towards? What are you stepping away from? What does the path look like as it unfolds in front of you? Listen to your feet for wisdom. Take intentional steps today. Sun moves to Cancer, joining exalted Jupiter there, at 10:58 am CDT. Get ready for passionate, heart expansion in the coming weeks. Sun is in Cancer until 8.17, so enjoy this time of deepening compassion- for self and others. Who and what is teaching you, helping you unfold and develop your heart? Tend to these needs in the coming weeks and rise to the occasion. Rise into service and lead with your heart. Teach, guide and share with fullness, but let your heart wisdom guide you. This is a perfect time to let the emotional body set the pace and choose the direction. Have you joined my FB event yet for the new Moon? I'll be helping you explore the emotional body with creative rituals during the silent part of the month. Moon moves to Pisces at 13:05 CDT joining Ketu there and receiving drishti from Rahu in Virgo, seven houses away. Exalted Jupiter gives his drishti/gaze from Cancer nine houses away. Let sudden expansion and bursts of insight lead you. Moon moves to UttaraBhadrapada at 18:41 CDT, enlivening Ahirbudhnya and Saturn for the rest of the day/night. This serpent of the nether worlds invites us to dive beneath the surface and explore the depth of our existence. Illusions are in our midst and magic is among us. What secrets are you exploring and what are you hiding from? There is power in the subconscious mind which offers many gifts of awareness. Are you listening? Get ready for some veils to lift; it may be quite swift. Thursday, July 17th The majority of the day has us working with Ahirbudhnya and Saturn energies. He enlivens the nether realms with his serpent energy. Her provokes us to tap into our subconscious mind and awakens the dormant Kundalini energy at the base of the spine. Secret, hidden knowledge is all part of his domain. Illusions are in our midst and magic is among us. What secrets are you exploring and what are you hiding from? There is power in the subconscious mind which offers many gifts of awareness. Are you listening? Get ready for some veils to lift; it may be quite swift. Moon moves from UttaraBhadrapada into Revati at 17:30 CDT. Pushan comes to our aid and Mercury is enlivened. The final nakshatra in the zodiac, Revati symbolizes the path, the journey, and protection for this adventure. Pushan offers us nourishment, support and guidance for the path as well as helping us to find our own hidden treasures. As Moon joins Ketu here in Revati, expect sudden shifts and changes for your path. It may just be mentally, but shifts and changes there will be! Invite them in and trust there is nourishment with this newness. Emotional outbursts are likely. What are your needs and how can you get them met in nourishing and supportive ways? Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Friday, July 18th Moon nears Ketu and mental/emotional firecrackers flare. What does your fire dance look like and feel like? Is there a tussle between these two bodies- mental body and emotional body? What is the mind dictating that contradicts with the emotional body? It will be easy right now (too easy) to let the mental body force its agenda on us, which may ignite the emotions and push us towards confusion, anger, or agitation. Hit the internal pause button and do ample check-ins today. What does your mental body need? What does your emotional body need? By 16:30 CDT Moon and Ketu are in exact degrees and the pressure is on. Sparks are flying and helping you expand, open and explore new territory; the new territory of Ketu in Pisces and Rahu in Virgo. Need a reminder of the themes being enlivened at this time? Read more here. For some, there will be some very rich sparks of insight today. Bring a notebook with you and take notes. Pushan is offering guidance for the journey, but don't blame the messenger. Moon makes the tricky leap from Pisces into Aries at 17:00 CDT. The Ashvini-kumara and Ketu are enlivened and the themes of past 24hrs get some further sparks and ignition. Mars and Saturn give direct gaze from Libra, and offer a "lurching" energy with stops and starts. This may invigorate the yes and no dynamic within us, which can lead to confusion and unrest. Are we ready or aren't we? The Ashvini twins offer healing through rejuvenation and rasayanas. There are magical abilities and strength with these healing gifts. Music and the arts are tools that they use as well as Ayurvedic remedies and treatments. The healing arts are in potent form with Ashwini. Tonight, synch up with Saturn's slowness and allow him to slow you down, stop even. Where can you hit the breaks and surrender to the pace of what is? Silence, softness and massage might be in order. As he deepens his retrograde motion before going direct on the 20th, his intensity can amplify. Let him win right now and avoid the frustrations of working against him simply by surrendering to his ways. Venus moves into Ardra nakshatra at 23:18. Relationship matters, creativity, passion, communication intensify and get the strength of Rudra and Rahu through the end of the month. What way will Rudra's strength take you. We may start out rocky or strong. We may end up a bit scarred and tattered, worn and softened. We will definitely learn a finer art of harnessing the passions within us. Don't get windswept, use the winds as a tool. Have you signed up for my new Moon workshop yet? Saturday, July 19th Yesterday's suggestions prevail until 17:11 CDT when Moon moves into Bharani nakshatra. Venus and Yama are enlivened and offer us a sense of restraint, holding back and deliberation. What needs harsh change of direction today? Yama may offer the confrontation we need to address a certain obstacle or blockage on the path. Confrontation brings awareness; then shift and change can enter. This is a poignant and powerful place to arrive. What are you confronting head on today? In your relationships especially. This includes your relationship with your self, and with others. Don't hold back, go into it, directly. Work with what is, what arrives and invite in the investigation. Mars and Saturn give direct gaze on the Moon from their positions in Libra, and offer a "lurching" energy with ample stops and starts. This may invigorate the yes and no dynamic within us; even binary thinking patterns, which can lead to confusion and unrest. Are we ready or aren't we? Are we letting go or clinging? Inviting in the new awareness or pushing it away? With frustration, anger often arrives as well. What are the deeper messages of this frustration and anger? Ask the anger for answers. As Sun moves into Pushya nakshatra tonight at 22:49 CDT, we may get the softening just in time for the answers to arrive. Sunday, July 20th Bharani stays with us throughout the day. Saturn goes direct after months of retrograde motion at 15:02 CDT. This is a remarkable moment when the wheels of time screech to a halt and suddenly begin chugging forward once again. The intensity of the past days and weeks begin to ease as Saturn directs our momentum forward once again. As a retrograde planet goes into its direct motion, it becomes much more intense. We will likely be feeling this lurch forward in relationships and Libra matters for those of us paying attention. Be gentle with your Self and others- and rejoice! Saturn is no longer debilitated and is once again exalted in Libra. We may now begin to feel the blessings of this position- finally! The themes from Saturday prevail until 17:59 CDT when Moon moves to Krittika nakshatra. Agni, the fire of life, is enlivened as well as the Sun. Cut, clear, purge, transform. Now is the time to step into what you want, and step away from what you don't. Likely Saturn's direct motion now will help us find this clarity. Digest, assimilate, seek nourishment and let Agni help you transform what you have been eating in your life (all of it), into useful energy and resources. Be exact. Be focused. Be alert. Be ready to make changes and allow in the transformations. Plan your week in tune with Nature. Never miss my Moon Mind Calendar. Sign up for my newsletter. And if you like this post, please share it! Guru Purnima: The Fullest Full Moon of the Year On July 11th, the Moon moves to the 15th tithi at 10:03 am CDT, which is the final phase of the waxing cycle. It is ripe and full of the Sun's light and ready to shine brightly in the night sky. This marks the beginning of the Guru Purnima festivities and provides us with an especially full and powerful Moon. Considered the "fullest full Moon of the year", Guru Purnima is a particularly auspicious time in the Vedic calendar when we honor our gurus, teachers and guides for all the wisdom and illumination they have brought to our paths. The fullness can be felt in heart, in spirit, in our emotions and minds, as our cup is the fullest of the year right now and expressed through the power of the Moon! I wish each of you a powerful and sacred Guru Purnima. May your paths continue to be illuminated by fulfillment, great wisdom, and by satya, truth. This auspicious full Moon is in Sagittarius and PurvaAshada nakshatra at 06:24 am CDT. It's a full Moon poised for change and charged with movement, flow and momentum. With Apas ruling this powerful Guru Purnima Moon, so much energy and excitement is palpable and at our disposal. Be sure to use this Moon intentionally and sacredly. What lights you up, sparks you, and inspires the passion of your spirit? What fills your vessel and illuminates your soul? This is the time to dive deep within and harvest your precious pearls; your knowing. It is a time of giving thanks and gratitude for the wisdom in your life that has smoothed you over like water does to stone; like our gurus do for our paths. Apas is purifying us and guiding us with this full Moon. She is both harsh and severe, while also being gentle and soothing. She clears, cleans and purifies and does so through the heart and emotions. Let tears flow. Whether in joy or sadness or both. Let them wash your heart lotus and clean each petal. Create moments for being present to what is, to the silence and stillness that fills our sacred spaces within and all around us. Use this as your theme for the coming waning cycle: let the water smooth your rough edges, like water does to stone. I encourage you to do a mandala creative ritual for harvesting your mind, emotions and physical experiences. Here is my Creative Ritual suggestion for Guru Purnima. And just as the full Moon expands, it begins to wane again, losing its light, drop by drop. As Moon begins to wane, Rahu and Ketu are poised for their shift into Virgo and Pisces for the next 18 months. Read all the details here. Just after Rahu and Ketu shift, Mars moves to Libra and Venus moves into Gemini. This is an unusually intense series of back to back planetary shifts. I give you more details about these intense times in my Moon Mind calendar. Need some extra guidance and clarity for this coming year? Schedule a session with me. *Full Moon Chart Horoscopes:
*Horoscopes are based on your Vedic rising sign. You can also check your Moon and Sun signs for further insight. Do the same with your Navamsa signs for further clarity. Do not use these horoscopes with your “Western Sign” as there is likely no correlation. These horoscopes are meant to be used as a broad overview of the current transits and obviously do not address the specifics of an individual’s unique chart. Aries: Changes start. And they come from the heart. The channel of illumination begins to open and offers awareness when you take sacred alone time- a theme for the coming 18 months. Self care and healing also become top priorities. Relationships, enemies and bad habits continue to be a primary focus for your energies right now. It will take courage to change some of the old patterns and coping mechanisms you've been clinging to, but this next Rahu Ketu cycle is ready to kick you into high gear. Ready, set, go. Taurus: Suddenly you are making some sense out of your relationship patterns. Who you relate to and why. Looking behind the mirror in other words. You'll be using these insights plenty in the coming 18 months as you restructure your relationships- or as they restructure you. Right now, watch for bad habits and enemies that make their way into your body and environment. Watch what and who you ingest, as well as how you ingest them. Clean up toxicity. Be courageous with your heart and seek answers. Gemini: Get creative! This is a potent moment in time for you. The portals are open- wide open- and ushering in a new state of being for you. Career, home, and new opportunities are coming forth. But you must be willing to change everything- dramatically and drastically. Fears are coming to you around comforts, and your old behavior patterns are keeping you stuck. Notice where you are clinging. How desperate are you to live this one, precious life? Let go of everything you've been relying on and take a leap in a new direction. Cancer: Your heart will be lurching forward in the next two months. Are you opening? Or closing? Inviting in? Or Pushing away? As you fiddle with the gear shift a bit and find a new neutral flow, it's the dance between your mind and emotions that begins to help you find your farfigneugen. There's some new comfort in how you trust your self and your learning process. It feels good, so be courageous, creative, and persevere. Work with "yes and no" dynamics authentically in your relationships. This is a great time to consciously navigate healthy boundaries. Leo: It might feel like no traction is being made in the coming weeks. You don't know how to act, where or when to take action, or what it should look like. Courage is a bit uneven, kinda sloppy. Work with this friction between stop and start very consciously. Take it into your creative work and use this theme intentionally. There's ample creativity in your current frustrations, so use it for power and awareness not laziness. This is not a time to force outcomes though. It is a time to learn more artful and tactful ways of surrender; to sync with a new type of flow and find a new rhythm. Silence the old default patterns. Seek new answers, rhythms and foot steps and you will reap a whole new kind of result. Let your dancer out of the closet. Virgo: You are realizing what it feels like to put all your efforts, attention and focus on your self and that when you do, you gain much focus, clarity and creativity as a result. Let this be a theme for the coming 18 months. Though relationships may crumble into pieces, let go and cling only to the flow of surrender. For now, it's ok to focus on your career and finances; this will keep you on track for a while towards your goals and out of any emotional landmines. Just realize that there will be ample clean up to attend to in the coming months with heart and emotions. There's no avoiding it. Libra: Life may be feeling excruciating right now as Saturn retrogrades deeply back into your first house (your head). It's as though you are climbing deeper and deeper into the belly of the beast. (That's you. You're the beast.) As this intensity builds and climaxes near the 20th, look for parts of your self that are gripping, holding tightly, and refusing to budge. Things will begin to ease as Saturn goes direct and the wheels move in forward motion, but until then, consider this to be a very sacred time of vital deconstruction. Right now, listen more and speak less. This will be a theme for the coming 18 months of increased solitude. Scorpio: Saturn is working his magic on you right now. You're in the belly of the beast so to speak as he pushes you further and further into your 12th house of isolation. Further and further backwards, more and more inward you go, as you retrace old steps and familiar inner realms. But there are some remarkable shifts happening as you step back into the darkness of your cave. A new sense of courage and thriving surfaces in the coming months because of all your hard work. It's you that has changed, so track your progress and reap the rewards. There's more where that came from. Sagittarius: Your career is getting a lot of your focus right now and will be a source of both growth and confusion in the coming 18 months. Navigate these murky waters with ingenuity and an entrepreneurial spirit. Gain new knowledge and skills and you will get more benefits. If you keep going about things with the same old patterns, you will flail. Wherever you are resisting change, you will experience issues, so look for the rubs and the sores for guidance. Pay attention to heart and home. Listen to teachers and get advice. You are changing and so are your relationships. Get clear on who and what you want in your life. Let go of what isn't working. Capricorn: Relationships continue to offer some real learning curves. Some of it is soft, some is hard. Some feels supportive, some of it feels harsh and painful. There are relationship tangles and snarls happening right now- especially at work. It's a time to both radically listen to your needs and navigate how to show up authentically within your relationships simultaneously. Your gut will give some good advice so listen up. In the next 18 months you'll be changing what you offer, how you offer it, who you offer it to and why. Surround your self with all that you want to become and learn through osmosis. Aquarius: Teachers seem to be coming out of the woodwork. Everywhere you turn another lesson from yet another relationship. And if you're really paying attention, then you are learning a lot about your self in the process. Get ready to take depth to a whole new level. The next 18 months offer ample excavation of your depths, while helping you cut old, unnecessary patterns and behaviors. Hint: What you thought felt comfortable in the past will become no longer comfortable nor helpful. Maybe it's time to take another look at your discomfort and find a new sense of comfort with it? Pisces: Just when you thought you couldn't climb deeper into your old, dark hole, you find another level of it. You are also in the "belly of the beast" right now. Moksha is working its magic on you. But before the sparkle and shine occurs, you've still got to clear out more debris, rubble and residue. Just a few more steps to go! For now, find meaning, comfort and support in people, environments and experiences that feel trustworthy and solid. Find a life boat and climb on board- even if you have to build it your self.
