This Week's Intention: Allow shifts and changes to take place through potent action steps. Align with your purpose and passions with new conviction. Move towards your deepest nourishment. Moon is waxing and enters the seventh tithi (phase) as the seventh day of Navaratri begins. Monday is the first of three dedicated to my favorite goddess, Maha Saraswati. Goddess of nourishment through wisdom, sattva (purity), satya (truth), the arts, creativity and dharma. She provides us with support through knowing and seeking, while giving resources for our efforts. During the early hours of Monday morning, Moon shifts to PurvaAshada nakshatra while in Sagittarius. The water goddess, Apas, arrives to re-fill our cup. Invite in receiving of abundance, creativity, receptivity and emotional body wisdom. As the Navaratri celebrations continue to unfold, deepen you attention and intention during this sacred time. What are you releasing? What are you inviting in? What is arriving? Monday begins the first of three days dedicated to Maha Saraswati. Her wisdom, creative potency and nourishment through spiritual resources can be a powerful guide right now. Use Saraswati mantras to connect with her gifts as well as Chandi Path recitations for support with transformation. Early morning Tuesday, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttaraAshada, then into Capricorn mid morning. Rahu and Saturn give their gaze, offering shadow and restriction to the emotional body. The Vishva Devas rule this constellation and provide goodness and truth, among other resources of purity. Often called the "all gods," the Vishva Devas connect to universal principles that align us with dharma and the right path. Among these are goodness (Vasu), truth (Satya), determination (Kratu), Talent (Daksha), Time (Kala), Enjoyment (Kama), Firmness (Dhriti), Ancestors (Kuru), Abundance (Pururavas), Joy (Madrava), Pleasantness (Rochana), Sight (Lochana), Fame (Dhvani), Leadership ( Dhuri). There are strong ethics and right-action attributed to this nakshatra and a desire "to do the right thing." Ruling planet of this constellation is the Sun, the light giver for our dharmic path, our purpose for being alive. Sun is now debilitated in Libra and requires are gentle attention and intention at this time. Forcing agendas and outcomes will be met with physical exhaustion. Attend to spiritual desires and the inward pull. As the second day of Navaratri dedicated to Maha Saraswati arrives, it is an ideal time for aligning with dharma and purpose. Invite in deeper nourishment through knowledge and wisdom, creativity and the arts. Use Saraswati mantras to connect with her gifts as well as Chandi Path recitations for support with transformation. Late evening, Moon shifts to the sacred 28th nakshatra, Abhijit. This is a spiritual portal that can increase divine connection with Source, spirit and Natural Laws. Take time to meditate and set an intention this evening for deeper alignment and nourishment during this Navaratri celebration. This portal stays open only until the first few hours of Wednesday morning. Wednesday begins with the Moon transiting Abhijit nakshatra, then moving to Sravana after 03:25. Ruling deity, Vishnu, offers his expansive support with knowledge, wisdom, growth and dharmic alignment. Sravana nakshatra provokes a certain element of power and purpose, with a strong propensity for learning and inner growth. As Moon enters the auspicious ninth tithi (phase), wisdom and purpose are strengthened. Listen for insights and resources coming to you. Are you able to receive the support? What are you resisting and pushing away? How are you keeping yourself from being deeply fed in your life? What are the resources? What are the challenges? It is the final day of Navaratri and the last day dedicated to Maha Saraswati. Her guidance and wisdom bring deeper alignment with truth, awakening and divine support. Open and receive her support and nourishment. Use Saraswati mantras to connect with her gifts as well as Chandi Path recitations for support with transformation. Moon transits the tenth tithi, Dashami on Thursday, guru's day. Dashami is connected to dharma and our path of truth and awakening. Moon transits Dhanishta, the domain of the Vasu Devas who bring light (jyoti), illumination and Dharma to those who align with their potent creative forces of manifestation and creation. Midday, Moon shifts into Aquarius receiving direct gaze from Jupiter, Mars and Venus. Passions stir within the emotional body. Let your creativity flow! It is Vijaya Dashami, the tenth day of the waxing lunar cycle during the Navaratri celebration. On this day, fierce warrior goddess Durga, defeated the demon Mahishasura. Her transformational energy overcame the darkness, and light conquered the powerful demonic energy with lasting change. This battle of light and dark is at play within each one of us every day. We have choice to align with positive inner forces or dark, destructive forces within. The epic battle reiterated during the Navaratri celebration is a reminder that we too have the power of Durga within us- at all times. Her strength, passion, divine purpose and commitment to life is happening internally for every human being, though often subconscious. We are alive, breathing and able to align with our purpose for being in a human body each and every day. Do you take this on consciously and with right action? Or do you let your dark, demonic forces overcome your light? Are you honoring your deep desires for truth and ultimately your dharma, divine duty? Or do you let fear, uncertainty, resentments and old mental stories keep you from your truth, purpose and path? It is a choice. Make it conscious. As Venus (god of the asuras, demons) nears exact conjunction with Jupiter (god of the devas, gods), we may feel this battle of light and dark increasing within us. There is an ongoing dance of good vs. evil happening within us every day as we dance with positive, life supporting thoughts, or negative, fear driven thoughts. Be vigilant with self tracking at this time and use resources and tools to consciously navigate this inner dance. Just as Thursday ends, Moon shifts to Satabisha nakshatra. Friday begins with Moon transiting Satabisha nakshatra in the early morning. Varuna is the ruling deity of this constellation and he provides clarity through vision, as he sees all. This vision can also be deemed a "critical gaze" because he notices all that is right and wrong, often increasing the critic within. Ruling planet Rahu can increase shadow, illusion and intensity. Where can you loosen and let go? What needs to be surrendered so that the fierceness can be dropped? How can you allow healing and transformation instead of rigidity and harshness? Let the light in through gentleness and compassion. Find ways to soften. Moon moves to PurvaBhadrapada nakshatra just before midnight. Saturday requires us to take extra rest and attend to the physical body in very conscious ways. As Moon finishes its transit through Aquarius and moves through PurvaBhadrapada nakshatra, a need for inner and out balance develops. Meanwhile, debilitated Sun moves into a new nakshatra in the early hours of the morning. We will notice a shift in our physical and spiritual bodies as a result. As Sun shifts into Swati nakshatra, a new power enlivens. Movement, change and transformation intensifies in the coming weeks. Creative courage through subtle, gentle and nourishing ways should be attended to. Attend to your inner strength and let it be the catalyst for lasting change. Moon shifts into Pisces, joining Ketu here, early afternoon. Both receive gaze from Rahu, Mercury and Mars. Notice where you are pushing for outcomes in the coming days. What are you forcing? Where can you drop, release and surrender? What nourishment are you resisting? Allow for the change to take place. Meanwhile, Venus and Jupiter are in exact conjunction today and tomorrow while in Leo. The battle between light and dark continues. Polarities are alive and well right now. Where can you drop your arms and let in more light? Attend to material vs. spiritual matters with diligence. We need both and we need them to be in balance for inner and outer harmony. Notice when and how your masculine energy takes over and keeps you from being nourished by the feminine. Self care will help you return to a sense of feeling and receptivity. Attend to your emotional body wisdom. Pause and listen. Sunday, day of Sun (Surya) illuminates the wisdom of the Sun, yet its debilitation currently in Libra requests inward reflection. Moon is waxing and in the 13th tithi (phase) today which invites bigger emotions and feelings. How can you invite in slower, gentler steps? Moon transits the latter half of the Bhadrapada constellation today giving us the opportunity for to dive deeply into our inner realms. If we create a solid and safe place to attend to our inner landscape, we can traverse this territory more powerfully. Find ways to land within and make this your intention for the day. Late afternoon, Moon shifts to Revati nakshatra and the mental body requests attention and deeper nourishment. What energetic cords need to be cut, severed and released for more clarity and receptivity? Where are you still holding on when you should be releasing? What stories is the mental body stuck in and repeating on autopilot? Set yourself free. It's a perfect time to be working with self development resources that help you unravel the mental body programming. Continue this theme through Monday and note where the mind is stuck, resistant and rigid. * Timing used is Pacific Daylight Time.

This Week's Intention: Transform your darkness into light. Use your pain, challenges and suffering to transform and heal. This is a powerful week for the emotional body. As we approach the total lunar eclipse and full Moon, our inner waters are likely feeling the pangs. Remember we are still in the delicate portal between eclipses, the gap, which intensifies our feelings. It can also shadow our experiences and our receptivity. This is not a time for risks or starting new projects, however it is an excellent time to be thoroughly navigating and attending to our darkness, shadows and personal mythology. When the challenges come, it's a reminder to do the necessary inner work for clean up and healing. Retrograde Mercury in Virgo, conjunct Sun and lunar node, Rahu, reminds us to clean up the mental body right now. Your efforts will be supported at this time. Ganesha Chaurthi continues this week until the full Moon, helping to remove obstacles and challenges along our path of awakening. Monday begins with Moon transiting Sagittarius and the first nakshatra of this one-pointed sign, Mula. As the Moon moves through Mula nakshatra, we may face our challenges directly as this constellation brings chaos and tumult from the dark goddess herself, Nirrti. She brings calamity with her, as well as crisis, confusion and destruction of inner power. Her forces are meant to keep one from dharma, a path of truth, power and inner knowing. Her darkness can bring great misery, or great healing. The healing only arrives when we are willing to face our own darkness and use it as a means of transformation, change and awakening. Are you working with the challenges consciously or resisting them? Any force against the challenge will not be a good use of your efforts or energy. Instead, surrender, let go and allow release. Simplify and do less- in order to accomplish more. Evening arrives with Moon shifting into PurvaAshada nakshatra, the domain of Apas, the water goddess. Let the waters flow and allow yourself to be purified. My final *free* Dharma Awakening class is this Saturday the 26th! This is the last time to receive my dharma resources until fall 2016. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Day of Mars, Tuesday, continues with the potency of PurvaAshada, Apas and ruling planet Venus. With Venus still in Cancer, our heart center and emotions are extra sensitive and feelings are stronger. Moon receives drishti from Jupiter which can increase swelling, expansion and excess. This will effect our emotions and spiritual body. Allow the nourishment to fill you up. Let the water within you flow, move and heal. Use creativity, gentle movement and nourishing relationships for extra support today. Let water soothe and clarify you by walking near it, soaking in it, or both. As evening begins, Moon moves to the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttaraAshada. The Vishvadevas, or all gods, arrive and help us align with truth, purity and wisdom. Invite in the sattva. Wednesday begins and Mercury flavors the day. Moon moves to Capricorn but continues to transit through the domain of the Vishvadevas. Here, our emotional body (Moon) receives drishti from Venus, Saturn, and Rahu. Sun and Rahu are in exact conjunction today. The light within is truly shadowed and darkened. Turn on the light and flip the switch! Shine light on your darkness and transform your shadows! Align with dharma, truth and purity. Where there is darkness, there is an opportunity for more light. Don't stray from your path! Around noon, Moon moves to the sacred 28th nakshatra, Abhijit, which supports deep spiritual awakening and healing. This special portal lasts until just after 19:00. This is an ideal time to set intentions, meditate and say prayers. Align with your truth, purpose and dharma at this time. Let the universe know your desires and take steps to bring them into form. Moon continues through Sravana nakshatra which is Vishnu's domain. A certain expansion and spiritual wisdom is available right now. Listen carefully. Fall equinox is September 23rd when the Sun crosses the celestial equator (an imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator) north to south. Fall equinox occurs at 03:22 CDT and marks shorter days (more darkness) for the northern hemisphere. Longer days (more daylight) will now begin for the southern hemisphere. Thursday continues with Vishnu's expansiveness and wisdom. He is responsible for dharma and aligning with sattva, truth. He is akasha (space) and therefor exists everywhere. Akasha transmits dharma and allows us to hear truth. Traditionally, dharma was passed orally and the ears were the main vehicle for attuning and acquiring dharmic understanding. Sravana nakshatra translates as "hearing, listening, studying and learning". There is a connection to "hearing the teachings" and being receptive enough to follow them with potent action steps. The symbols are an ear, footprints and a trident. Align with your truth, inner power and wisdom today. Let your feelings and intuitive knowing be your guide. Move towards dharma and take action that supports its unfolding. Late afternoon, Moon moves to Dhanishta nakshatra, the domain of the Vasu Devas and Mars. The Vasu Devas bring increased light and shining. Let your light shine! My final *free* Dharma Awakening class is this Saturday the 26th! This is the last time to receive my dharma resources until fall 2016. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Friday shares the divine light of the Vasu Devas as Moon continues to transit Dhanishta nakshatra. In the wee hours of the morning, Moon shifts to Aquarius, receiving direct gaze from Mars and Jupiter, bringing a certain stare of warrior spirit and wisdom from the guru. The Vasu Devas love to sparkle, shine and be seen. Their inner light, or jyoti, insures increased awareness, awakening and inner strength. Power and prosperity go hand in hand and the Vasu Devas bring both. As shine and share your truth, your potency and power increases. Shine your light on your darkness and shadows, step powerfully and courageously towards your truth and life purpose. Early afternoon, Moon shifts to Satabisha nakshatra and Varuna offers his certain intensity. He sees all with his thousand eyes. Align with his desires for truth and the universality of Natural Law and you will gain from his resources. Stray and he will bring punishment through ill health and misfortune. Make truth and integrity your priorities today and attend diligently to your health and wellness. Saturday continues with Varuna's potency. He can offer great healing and transformation, as well as resources and support, when we align with his desires. When Moon transits through his domain, the constellation Satabisha, it's a reminder to pay close attention to our physical body and our overall health. Let your physical body be well nourished and follow Ayurvedic regimens for maximum support from this fierce deity. Late morning Moon moves to PurvaBhadra nakshatra, as it enters the 14th tithi. Ruling deity, Ajaikapda, arrives to help us balance challenge, obstacles and difficulties. The Moon is almost completely full and the swelling tides will be creating challenges, discomfort and excess on the emotional body level. Surf these tides with awareness and intention. Use today as a clean up day. What personal development has been left unattended? What shadow work has been kept in the dark? How are you preparing for the full Moon and lunar eclipse? Now is the time to release and surrender anything that you are gripping to, holding tightly. If it's not serving your deep nourishment, let it go. Moon jumps into Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac, early Sunday morning, joining south node, Ketu here. Both receive drishti from Rahu, retrograde Mercury and Sun. Moon arrives into the 15th and final tithi (phase) of the waxing Moon and our emotional body swells with the high tides. Our Moon cups are full! Late morning, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada constellation, Uttarabhadra. Ahirbudhnya arrives to support our deep awakening and transformation process. As serpent of the deep, dark, hidden territory of our subconscious, he helps us bring our depth to the surface for more light. What are you missing? Dig up your depths and offer it to the light. Full Moon is September 27th at 19:50 PDT while Moon is in Pisces and Uttarabhadrapada Nakshatra. There is a total Lunar Eclipse at the time of this full Moon, which intensifies emotions, feelings and shadows being cast upon our emotional body. This full Moon brings a sense of beginnings, renewal and rejuvenation with it, themes which carry us through the waning Moon cycle. Moon conjuncts south node, Ketu leading up to the full Moon and continues its close proximity afterwards. This encourages cutting away and letting go of what no longer serves us in our emotional body. As Moon passes through Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac, this theme of letting go, endings and release, amplifies. The heart requires expansion and more fluidity, while the mind is tenacious, focused and radical. Blend these two elements and seek more inner harmony. Retrograde Mercury is conjunct Sun and Rahu in Virgo, which gives an opportunity for more light to shine on our darkness and illusions. Do you invite in the light, or continue to stay in the dark? Take the veils off and shine light into the dark corners of your mind. Mars gives his gaze to Moon and Ketu in Pisces at this time, and both receive the penetrating gaze of Rahu, Sun and retrograde Mercury seven houses away. It's a time of radical house-cleaning of mental and emotional bodies. Leave no stone un-turned and be diligent in your release process. Wishing you had the extended version of my Full Moon Details? Purchase my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar. This total lunar eclipse marks the ending of the delicate two week gap between eclipses. It is never advised to look at an eclipse directly nor be out while it's occurring. (This particular lunar eclipse will be visible in Europe, South/East Asia, Africa, Much of North America, Much of South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Arctic, Antarctica). Eclipses are a time to meditate, follow spiritual practices, chant and adhere to rest. Leading up to the eclipse, fasting or eating lightly is traditional. It is a time to reflect, turn inward and work consciously with our shadow parts. After all, an eclipse is showing us the shadow on our Sun or Moon qualities quite directly. Monday, mid morning, Moon moves to the final nakshatra of the zodiac, Revati. Ruling deity, Pushan, supports and assists our journey and travels. He brings nourishment and resources for our path, while also requiring attention to sensitivity and digestion. As Moon finishes up another transit through the twelve signs, use today for the necessary clean up and release after the full Moon + lunar eclipse. What are you holding onto that needs to be released on the mental and emotional body levels? *All calculations given are Pacific Daylight Time.
My final *free* Dharma Awakening class is this Saturday the 26th! This is the last time to receive my dharma resources until fall 2016. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Need some extra guidance and clarity? I still have a few October openings. This Week's Intention: Unfurl your wings and stretch them wide. Find ways to broaden and expand your reach. Moon continues to swell and wax as our inner waters amplify with the rising tides. Past the half way mark of the lunar cycle now, Moon moves into the tenth tithi (phase) on Monday. Mercury is now exalted in Virgo, conjunct Rahu. Are you feeling the increase in communication, connection and creativity yet? Sun and Jupiter continue to track each other closely this week. Watch for soul burn and move towards the light. Venus and Mars are also closely conjunct this week in Cancer. Feel your heart wisdom, even if it hurts. The week begins with a debilitated Moon in Scorpio, leaving conjunction with Saturn. Indra rules the day until Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra Monday afternoon. The day of Moon (Monday) requires that we tend to our sensitivity as well as our senses. Are you being ruled by your wild horses or are you holding the reigns? Once Moon enters Mula nakshatra, attending to our inner wisdom is of the utmost importance. Jupiter's gaze offers extra nourishment and support but Mula's ruling deity, Nirrti, arrives with her chaos, sudden change and calamity. Her dark forces can keep us from aligning with our path and purpose as she is adharmic in nature. Are you seeking resources to align with your higher purpose? Are you a part of the chaos or able to stand in the center of the storm? Resource from the wisdom of the physical body. It's the only thing that will bring you back to the now. Tuesday, Nirrti and her sharp, cutting nature, continue to rule the first part of the day. Underneath her darkness, depth and spirituality can be accessed. Can you feel the other option, or are you caught in the challenge? Just after noon, Moon shifts to a fierce and severe nakshatra, PurvaAshada, and its ruling deity, Apas, brings another type of force with her. Today is yet another opportunity for change and transformation but this one comes with water and arrives through deep cleansing. Let water assist you with this process. Get into water, walk near it, allow the rain- in the form of tears if not from Nature herself. Jupiter and Sun are in exact conjunction. Cleanse your heart and soul! Let wisdom and truth be your power source! Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! Don't miss my online Creativity + Embodiment Immersion. Get the Details. Just before noon on Wednesday, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttaraAshada. This star is fixed and stable, allowing nourishing sustainable activities to take hold. The Vishva Devas provide their universal goodness and help us align with the Laws of Nature in dynamic and powerful ways. Align with dharma, truth and positivity. Use gratitude to soften the heart. Shine, share and be seen for your purity and do good deeds. Early evening, Moon jumps to the hard working and tenacious, Capricorn. Saturn, Rahu, Mars and Venus give their gaze to the soft and tender Moon. Allow time to land and be with your feeling body. Work to soften your hard edges over the next few days. Early Thursday morning, Moon moves to a sacred constellation that is gently tucked in between UttaraAshada and Sravana nakshatra. This little known 28th nakshatra is called Abhijit and only covers about four degrees. This is a good time for prayer, meditation, setting intentions and being close to spirit. This time period will be from about 04:30 to 10:30, just before Moon shifts to Sravana nakshatra. Sravana nakshatra and its ruling deity, Vishnu, helps us align with the expansive forces of the universe. His purpose is to move us towards dharma and help us hear the wisdom being whispered in our ear from heaven, to the cosmos and back to earth. Listen carefully today and let your desires be known. Align your steps with life purpose and inner power. Jupiter and Sun are still tightly conjunct. Tend to your inner wisdom and let the power of the Sun burn away the impurities within you. If you're feeling the discomfort, open and awaken through gratitude and keep your body cool with Pitta pacifying foods and actions. Midmorning Friday, Moon shifts to Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas bring us increased light or Jyoti. Sharing from your heart will prove the most valuable resource today. Be soft, focused and let the power of your heart wisdom be your spokesperson. Align and shine! Express, share and give your positive message to the world. What words of wisdom can you offer your tribe? Early evening Moon shifts to Saturn's other sign, Aquarius, where it receives the hot gaze Jupiter, Sun and Mars. Moon also moves into the 15th and final tithi (phase) at this time. Stay focused but don't get burned out or fried in the process. Are you pushing too hard? As Mercury closely conjuncts Rahu the mental body also intensifies. Shadow or strength? Illusion or awakening? The mental and emotional bodies are extra powerful right now- watch how you use them. Before sunrise on Saturday, Moon arrives into Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna's domain. Our health and wellness becomes a top priority during this high tide time. Full Moon is Saturday, August 29th at 11:34 Pacific Time. Moon is in Aquarius and Satabisha Nakshatra. Healing arrives with this full Moon, yet comes with a certain edge and harshness simultaneously. Satabisha nakshatra is ruled by Varuna, the guardian of Natural Law and right action. Nothing gets past his thousands of eyes that see everything. Satabisha can help us work with boundaries and our resistance. What is your relationship with inner and outer boundaries- physical and energetic? Let this full Moon be one of intentional healing- especially for the mental body. Get resourced, nourished and attend to self care diligently. Use this wisdom to guide you through the coming waning cycle. Attend and attune to sacred healing. Want the extended version of my New Moon Wisdom? Purchase my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar for extra cosmic insights. Get It. The close conjunction of exalted Mercury and Rahu continues. Attend to your mental body and be diligent with its stories, messages, memories and imaginal realms. Are you feeding it or aligning with its magical support? Using its amplification for change and healing or letting it run wild with you through illusion and delusion? Self track and get on top of it. In the early hours of Sunday morning, Moon arrives in the light and graceful nakshatra, Purvabhadra. Ajaikapada is the ruling deity, who helps us balance seemingly impossible tasks with ease and steadiness. Often he is referred to as a form of Shiva, Lord of the Dance. He steps between worlds, realms and dimensions, sharing depth, strength and purpose when he arrives. Let the wisdom come too, but let it enter from the body. What can your body-mind tell you about grounding and landing in the now? Before you jump forward, into the next cycle, day or moment, stop here, be present, be in the now. Use your feet to help you land and find your anchor. Moon shifts to Pisces early evening, joining Ketu. Both receive the intense mental body gaze of Mercury and Rahu. Find your release, letting go and deepen your surrender. Mars and Venus are closely conjunct right now. Soften to your heart wisdom and allow deep release. Tears and emotional body waves are a necessary part of this process. Let them out. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada constellation, Uttarabhadra. Ruling deity, Ahirbudhnya, serpent of the netherworlds, helps us access our hidden, inner wisdom. It's there, can you find it? It's the hidden, dark and mysterious kind. It will come in flashes- suddenly provoking insight and shifts in perception. If your third eye is closed, you'll miss it. Let Monday continue to offer its awakening support. Keep looking and you'll find what you are seeking. *Timing used is Pacific Standard Time Zone. Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! Don't miss my online Creativity + Embodiment Immersion. Get the Details.
Need some extra guidance and clarity? I have a few September sessions still available. Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. The Moon swells and expands this week, asking us to respond to her increased flow. The most powerful full Moon of the year occurs late in the week and Saturn goes direct after four and half months of retrograde motion. Let out the exhale and find your release. Monday is influenced by Mercury as the Moon moves through Jyeshtha nakshatra, Indras constellation. With Moon transiting its debilitation sign, Scorpio and in Jyeshtha, extreme sensitivity and overwhelm can occur easily. The sensorial level of our being is easily impacted as well as the mental and emotional bodies. The mental body is extra sensitive right now in general- as Mercury and Sun are combust with Ketu's gaze. Frazzled and fried? What can you do to turn down the heat and defrag the system? Hint: Less is more. Remove anything unnecessary from your plate. August Jyotish Basics classes are open for enrollment. Early Bird price + special free gift is available for 48 hours only! Get the Details. Just as Tuesday begins, Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra. Nirrti, the dark goddess, arrives with her upheaval and removal tactics. Mars and Jupiter give their gaze, offering some clarity and tenacity to an otherwise delicate time. Can you get focused and clear? Aim high and meet your mark. Stay out of the chaos and overwhelm by landing and grounding as much as possible in the physical body. This will take courage but try to land on your feet. Mars moves to the edge of Gemini and is sandhi (in the gap). Soften your action steps and relax the mind. Meditation is an excellent use of your time today. PurvaAshada nakshatra starts the day on Wednesday, sharing the powerful flow of Apas and her watery ways. Her strength can be a blessing or an overwhelming inundation. If you've been feeling the pressure, it's time to open the floodgates and find the release valve. This may come with emotions and tears, but let them flow and cleanse you. Mercury begins to separate from close conjunction with the Sun and our mind begins to get some relief as well. Feeling the frustration still? Mars is at the edge of Gemini, still tickling our mental body with red and reaction. What is underneath the agitation? Find the need and see what action steps need to be taken for greater ease. Today, uproot and pull up old, inner weeds. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to UttaraAshada. Registration for August Jyotish Basics classes is closing on Friday, July 31st! Don't miss out on a month of support with your personal growth, healing and transformation. Get the Details. Day of the guru, Jupiter, arrives as Moon transits UttaraAshada. As Thursday arrives, Moon moves to Capricorn mid-morning, receiving drishti (gaze) from five planets simultaneously. Sun, Mercury, Mars, Rahu and Saturn offer a recipe for overwhelm and intensity, yet the Vishvadevas offer their support through resources and aligning with our truth. Look for flashes of insights and awareness regarding your gifts and inner wisdom. Listen carefully and align with your highest knowing. Trust your inner light to guide you. Catch yourself in the emotional extremism before you go down the rabbit hole. What do you need to do in order to ground and land in your body more fully? As the waxing Moon peaks, another planetary shift occurs. Mars moves to its debilitation sign, Cancer, joining Mercury and Sun here. On July 30th at 13:14, the warrior, fire planet moves to the watery and emotive sign of Cancer and will be here until mid September. These two forces naturally oppose each other as Mars is reactive and action oriented and Cancer is connected to feelings and the emotional body. Mars is not a thinker or a feeler, he is a doer. Conflicts between thoughts, feelings and actions occur in this cycle, however there is opportunity to bring light and greater awareness to our heart wisdom. If you feel irritation and anger, it's time to dig deeper. What are the needs underneath the outbursts? What expression needs to be released, rather than repressed? How can you tend to your emotional body wisdom with greater compassion and clarity? Ask yourself "Where am I pushing too hard?" Matters with home, heart, mother, land and property feel the extra level of fire and complexity right now. Be gentle and soften your heart wherever possible. Find ways to balance your action and non-action, as there may be confusion with how to move forward in this cycle with rest and activity. For those with prominent placements or strong influences of Mars in your chart, this is somewhat of a rest cycle for you. Pushing too hard will be counterproductive. Make your heart and home the priority. Moon is in the 15th tithi (purnima) and final phase of the waxing cycle as of the morning of July 30th. However, the fullest part of the Moon is not until Friday early in the morning. Late afternoon into late evening, Moon passes through the most sacred nakshatra of all, the little known 28th nakshatra, Abhijit. The domain of Abhijit is in between UttaraAshada and Sravana nakshatra- from 6 degrees 40 to 10 degrees 53. Use this time for meditation and sharing your intentions with the universe. As Moon shifts to Sravana late in the evening a more expansive sacredness arrives. Align with your intentions and seek clarity with your path. I'll be offering a free Creative Ritual web class for Guru Purnima. Make sure you're on the list. Friday begins with a sense of auspiciousness as Moon transits Sravana nakshatra. The fullest full Moon of the Vedic calendar, called Guru Purnima, is dedicated to gurus, teachers and honoring our spiritual lineage. The exact time of the full Moon is 03:42 am Pacific Time, while Moon is in Capricorn and Sravana nakshatra. This is the second full Moon of July and a powerful time to align with deep intention, sacredness and dharma. Attend to the wisdom within, honor your teachers and lineage, while using ritual to solidify your intentions. How can you clarify your path and commit to your purpose more fully? Sravana is Vishnu's constellation and he brings an expansiveness that can be transcendental and awakening. Vishnu's purpose is to uphold dharma, which he does through sound. Open your mind and see what you find. Root through the feet and let your body wisdom help you listen. Late evening, Moon shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas come out to shine. Saturday is the day of Saturn, but Moon moves through a Mars ruled constellation, Dhanishta. Moon shifts to Aquarius mid morning, a sign ruled by both Saturn and Rahu and gives a nod to the 11th house of gains and friendships. Moon receives gaze from Jupiter and Venus as well as Mars. Passion, anyone? There is also a certain bright and shining light shared with this nakshatra. Natives often have a very distinct glow which is a gift from the Vasu Devas. They support our ability to be seen, noticed and wealthy- through our action steps. They bring the jyoti, the light and love us to align and activate dharma. Take an action step towards your dharma today that will make the Vasu Devas proud! Let your heart wisdom and emotional body guide you. Moon shifts to Satabisha nakshatra early evening. Just before 22:00, Saturn goes direct. I'll be doing cartwheels!! What about you?! This ends over four months of slow, intensified returns that have kicked up grief, sadness, loss and fears. Let out your breath, sigh with relief, notice where you've been holding on and seek release. Structure, focus, movement and stability begin to move in a forward direction. Find a new dance, step wisely, acknowledge your path and the road you have traveled. Find a place within where you can cultivate some new joy. Read more about Saturn in Scorpio. Sunday is ruled by Rahu and Varuna as the Moon transits through Satabisha nakshatra. Moon is waning and enters the 3rd tithi today, called tritiya, a Vishnu ruled Moon phase. Satabhisha and Varuna guard Natural Law, the laws of the universe. Nothing gets past Varuna's gaze and scrutiny. There is a certain healing and sacredness with this nakshatra, as well as harshness and an intensified critic. Can you dance with the devil but find your own drum beat? Moon shifts to the first half of Bhadrapada late afternoon. Keep dancing, even if it feels impossible. Let Ajaikapada help you balance overwhelm, uncertainty and upheaval. Stomp and kick up some dust. Count your steps and work your way through Monday with PurvaBhadrapada and Lord of the Dance. *Pacific Time Zone is used for all planetary timing. but stay grounded and embodied in the process. The week begins with a waning Moon in the sixth tithi (phase). Venus has just entered Leo and Mercury is now in its own sign, Gemini. Both are still sandhi, in weak degrees, getting situated in their new signs. Jupiter is also sandhi, in the gap, moving from his exaltation sign, Cancer, towards Leo next week. Monday, Moon transits Aquarius and into Purvabhadrapada nakshatra late morning. The Moon is nearing another complete cycle and the ruler of this nakshatra, Ajaikapada, is helping us with certain release. Themes arrive around completion and letting go, while simultaneously helping us find balance with seemingly difficult situations. Step wisely today and make your actions intentional. Moon shifts to Pisces just before midnight, joining Ketu here. Both receive gaze from Rahu and Jupiter. Seek balance with spiritual and worldly desires over the coming days. Early Tuesday morning, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadra constellation, Uttarabhadrapada. The serpent of the netherworlds, Ahirbudhnya, helps us look below the surface and find the answers we are seeking. It takes excavation and willingness to dive deep. Let your inner waters help you transform and change. Avoid stagnation. In the early hours on Wednesday morning, Moon moves to the final nakshatra in the zodiac, Revati. The ruling deity, Pushan, is a powerful ally of support for our path. He brings assistance, protection, nourishment and safety for our journey. Let him provide for you. Are you receptive to his offerings? Just as Thursday begins, renewal arrives as Moon jumps through the tricky gandanta (gap) between Pisces (endings) and into Aries (beginnings). This junction is also a shift from water to fire, release into energized action. Today may feel like a fresh start and offer powerful opportunities for renewal. Take a new action step and make it intentional. With Moon outside of any other planetary gaze, there may be a sense of possibility and a feeling of awakening. Yet Aries is ruled by Mars and Sun is considered exalted in this sign- both are conjunct Mercury in Gemini currently- which offers a certain tension, heat and tenacity for our mental body. If aggravation or fear arrives, see how spirit can help you surrender and release, while being mindful of the needs underneath the feelings. Bharani nakshatra ushers in Friday, as does its deity, Lord Yama, he who restrains. He is fierce yet vulnerable, strong yet sensitive. He holds us back where we need to regain a sense of composure, contraction, or where we might benefit from some restriction. Ultimately, Yama can help us regain a sense of balance if we need some reigning in. His ways are not comfortable however, so notice where his restrictions may be met with resistance. Ultimately, refusing his ways is not possible, as he brings the final declaration of our karmas after life. Listen and learn while you're alive. As Moon shifts to Krittika nakshatra on Saturday morning, Agni takes over, bringing heat, change and transformational qualities. Moon becomes exalted late morning as it enters Taurus. Emotional swells and high inner tides arrive. Listen to your emotional body wisdom. There is a certain care and protection available today that must be attended to. Can you feel extra protection, support or guidance available? Declare your desires and let the universe hear you loud and clear! Go after what you truly want, but more importantly what you truly need. Moon moves to the highly creative nakshatra, Rohini, just after midnight and ushers in a potent Sunday. Maximize the potential available today and start creating the life you want! How can you manifest more potently? Get clear on your desires and how you want to create the life of your dreams. Shoot for the stars! There is power, strength and wisdom available right now, while extra support may be felt from spirit. Ask and yee shall receive. Jupiter moves closer to the edge of Cancer, preparing to leap into Leo and Magha nakshatra on the 14th. The year long transit of Jupiter in its sign of exaltation, Cancer, is ending. However, the changes are already occurring. Pay close attention at this time to themes that connect to Leo, the 5th house and the Sun. Simultaneously any final lessons and understandings from the Jupiter in Cancer transit will be intensifying. This is a time of crystalization, where the final offerings of the Cancer cycle are being shared with us. Read more about the effects of Jupiter in Leo. Now is an ideal time to prepare for the upcoming transit with extra jyotish astrology guidance and support, as well as having a Jupiter yagya for a smoother transition.
