The week begins with a waning Moon, and a sandhi Sun, just leaving Sagittarius. Mercury and Venus are in close conjunction in Capricorn, enticing us with immense creativity and increased creative flow. While Jupiter, Rahu and Saturn offer their drishti to these planets, intensifying our efforts of expansion, containment and focus. Monday, January 12th Today's intention: The light increases with your conscious, constructive efforts. Moon transits Virgo and Hasta nakshatra, letting in the light of Savitr as the week begins. Once Moon shifts into Chitra nakshatra at 16:55 CST, Vishvakarma enters with his agenda, plans and creative aspirations. Moon and Rahu in Virgo receive drishti from Mars, intensifying action steps. Moon is in close conjunction with Rahu today which brings a shadow effect to our emotional body. Increased desire, worldly pleasures and increased appetite for life is likely. These are worthy desires, just make sure the cravings are balanced. Mercury and Venus are in exact conjunct in Capricorn receiving drishti from Jupiter, Saturn, and Rahu which is increasing our creativity and desires for creating and expanding our life container. Sandhi Sun moves to the edge of Sagittarius today and will join Mercury and Venus early on Wednesday. Use today for connecting and creating, expanding and getting focused, for moving towards what you really want and need in your life. Tuesday, December 13th Today's Intention: Build your empire, brick by brick. Moon shifts into Libra at 06:06 am CST, while transiting Chitra nakshatra- ruled by Mars and Vishvakarma, the celestial architect. This dynamic duo assists us in action, planning, setting goals and enlivening our intentions. With effective action steps and the passion that is required to keep us motivated and inspired, we can create anything! Mars shifts out of Dhanishta and into Satabisha nakshatra until the end of the month, provoking a shift in our action steps and intentions. Ruled over by Varuna, this lunar mansion is oriented towards seeing, discovering, and awakening to our own truth. Varuna sees everything and is said to have a thousand eyes, therefor he can intensify the critic and judge within us. He is an Aditya (giving resources and offering support), yet he does it through structure and abiding by the Laws of Nature. It is very important to attend to health needs during Satabisha times as any disease that starts under this nakshatra is said to be incurable. Attend to what nourishes you, supports your vitality and there won't be any issues. But for now it is vital to be maintaining balance on the four levels of life- mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. Stay out of the overwhelm and step into harmony by syncing up with the Laws of Nature. Sun is at the edge of Sagittarius in deep sandhi. Extra care for the spiritual body is necessary right now. Use this time to tap into your deepest longings. To listen deeply to your inner wisdom. Re-visit your needs, your life purpose, the direction of your path. Moon moves into Swati nakshatra at 19:08 CST. Wednesday, January 14th Today's Intention: The winds of change are blowing. Remember to direct your sails. Moon transits Swati nakshatra today, creating a swiftness, a certain sense of movement and change. Vayu, the wind god, insures that change, movement and strength are enlivened. Wind has many purposes and can offer multiple resources to us; it can also scatter us, destroy us or force us to make change in direction. Vayu is a Rudra, meaning he has immense strength and power. Be intentional today with how you use the power and strength within you, how you direct your inner winds. Sun shifts into Capricorn at 07:35 am CST, joining Mercury and Venus here. These three planets all receive drishti from Saturn, Rahu and Jupiter. Let the illumination in and let it influence your creativity, your communications, your orientation towards expansion and awakening. There's a new structure being created for each of us right now, if we consciously and intentionally move forward. This is a time for expanding our life container. We do this with creativity, our creation process, that which is our birth right. Each one of us is here on the planet to create the life of our dreams, to manifest, to expand and grow what is possible for ourselves. Maximize this potential with intention, goals, clear action steps, and guidance and support. This is the winning combination. Be sure to check out my Essentials for Manifestation MP3 for assistance and support. Moon shifts into Vishaka at 20:38 CST. Thursday, January 15th Today's Intention: Stop, collaborate and listen. Moon transits Vishaka nakshatra, nearing the edge of Libra. Vishaka is ruled by the dual gods, Indra and Agni, which expresses the co-creation process; a "two is better than one" reality. Indra is the high king, where as Agni is the high priest. This collaboration is an essential relationship for ultimate progress. Both rely on each other, thus the relationship is symbiotic. Together, they can create ultimate transformation and change. What changes are you creating today? Get help and team up! Moon moves to Scorpio at 15:12 CST and then moves to Anuradha nakshatra at 21:17 CST. As Moon enters Scorpio, it joins Saturn here as well; both receive drishti from Jupiter and Ketu. Be mindful of the pause and remember your three level check-in in order to intentionally listen to your internal experiences. This is a time to dive deeply. Friday, January 16th Today's Intention: Thank your lucky stars, your friends, supporters and well wishers. Moon transits Anuradha nakshatra at 21:17 CST, a heightened sense of support from friends and allies is increased. Mitra, the ruling deity here, is the ruler of friendships as well as fine detail and precision. He also connects us to man made laws (not Nature's laws which are Varuna's domain). Man made laws insinuate a matter a fact experience of life. What you see is what you get. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Every action has a reaction. The planetary ruler, Saturn, suggests structure, timeliness, and the wisdom that comes with age as a means to help us learn the lessons of Mitra. He is an Aditya and therefor offers blessings and resources, but does so with restrictions and steadiness of our actions. The "friendly star" earns its title by bringing a certain softness and compassion when life can feel harsh. With Saturn's conjunction with the Moon and Jupiter and Ketu offering their gaze to this pair, we may feel a certain emotional body intensity. Depression, expansion and release are possible sensations. Pushing too hard and forcing your agenda must be surrendered today. You'll get a lot more done without the extra pressure! At 21:04 Moon shifts into Jyestha nakshatra, Indra's domain. Saturday, January 17th Today's Intention: Where there's a will, there's a way. Use your strong mind to get you there. Moon transits Jyestha nakshatra and thus Indra and Mercury share their power with us. Indra is the king of the devas (gods) and offers intense strength, while also expressing the sensitivity such strength requires. Indra rules the sensory organs, and a strong alliance with Indra invites us to have control over our senses. Controlling the senses can keep us from over-indulgence and getting pulled off our path. Yet too much control leads us to imbalance and another extreme. Individualized balance is the ultimate freedom. Protect, honor and support your senses by listening, taking time to honor your physical body intelligence. With Rahu, Saturn and Jupiter giving drishti to Mercury right now (who is also conjunct Sun and Venus) we need to temper cravings that originate in the mental body. Yet simultaneously, use this time to broaden and deepen your imagination, expand your container, and get clear and focused. Just don't get lost in the point or the infinity. Use the expansion and the contraction as a resource for creating a new sense of balance. Venus shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra today at 06:21 am CST, inviting in the prosperity and light of the Vasu devas. The combination of Venus and the Vasu's is sure to bring passion, creativity and many new possibilities in the coming weeks. Resource from your relationships, build creative alliances, take action steps that invite in your power, light and higher purpose. Aim high! Reach towards what you want and move away from what does not serve you, nourish you or create space for your light. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 20:03 CST, inviting in Nirrti, the dark goddess of disruption. Sunday, January 18th Today's Intention: Let the doors close behind you. Moon transits Mula nakshatra today, inviting in Nirrti's dark goddess ways. She disrupts, changes, re-structures and removes. She does so by uprooting us and digging up what we are ready to release, transform and shift. Often this is not a comfortable experience, but can be somewhat magical! Ask for the support and assistance you need for this removal process. Moon is in the 14th tithi today and deeply in the waning process. Allow the emptiness to be conscious for you and work intentionally with the letting go process today. As you invite in the release, cultivate presence and awareness of your emptiness. What are you releasing? Moon moves to PurvaAshada nakshatra at 18:20 CST, inviting in Apas, the water goddess. Monday, January 19th Today's Intention: Purify, cleanse and restore. As Moon continues to transit Sagittarius and PurvaAshada nakshatra, there is a deepening of release happening. Let the release come through purifying and cleansing practices, through ritual and sacred acts. Use water and the emotional body tides to inspiration the purification process. Be gentle and nourishing to yourself and others today. Do so by listening deeply to your emotional body wisdom. Moon enters the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waning cycle. New Moon is on Wednesday the 20th at 07:14 am CST while in Capricorn and UttarAshada. This is a very powerful new Moon! More details to come. We have just passed the new Moon and Winter Solstice, and now the Moon begins its waxing cycle. The week begins with a sense of deep emptiness, release, and if we are paying attention, the depth of our darkness. It is a magical time in many ways and full of vast potential. As the light begins to slowly return now to our days, I encourage you to be very intentional about what you are filling your cups with- mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. This is a time of potency and we can truly maximize it with intention and action steps. Join me for my workshop, The Essentials for Manifestation and maximize your intentions for 2015! Monday, December 22nd Today's Intention: It takes two to tango. Moon continues after the new Moon + Solstice through Mula nakshatra, with Sun here as well. The cutting and clearing continues until Moon shifts into PurvaAshada at 07:42 am CST, enlivening Apas, the water goddess and Venus. As Moon shifts into Apas's domain, we suddenly have three levels of water happening cosmically within Sagittarius. Both Venus and Mercury are also in PurvaAshada right now as the congestion of planets through Sagittarius continues. There is a dance occurring between Venus (three planets in PurvaAshada) and Jupiter (ruling planet of Sagittarius) right now that is effecting our material and spiritual bodies. Venus represents our asura (demon) energy, which is highly tethered to the earth plane and our manifestation process here. Jupiter on the other hand is knowledge based, connected to Akasha (space) and represents our deva (god) energy. We may be feeling this inner battle playing out within us between good thoughts and bad thoughts. Our wants and desires vs. what we are able to manifest. We may also be experiencing this as a battle of what is "right" and "wrong" going on within us. Some may literally be experiencing battles with demons in more confrontational ways. This is the battle of light and dark, shadow and light, our polarities. We can't get rid of either one, so now is the time to learn how to integrate these very different parts of ourselves. Tuesday, December 23rd Today's Intention: Harness the fire and let it guide you towards your awakening. Moon shifts into UttaraAshada, at 05:40 am CST, enlivening the Vishvadevas, or the "all-gods". The Vishva Devas are essentially the Laws of of Nature personified as devas. This nakshatra helps us enliven our good qualities, and find success through our light. You will likely feel the shift towards hope, possibility and greater support today. Maximize this and get clear on your goals and intentions for the new year. Sign up for my Essentials for Manifestation Workshop and transform your obstacles into clarity. Moon shifts into Capricorn at 11:08 am CST, joining exalted Mars there. Rahu and Jupiter give their drishti as well. The Dance of demon and asura in our emotional body continues. Whenever we have a conjunction of Mars and Moon, we have the opportunity to tap into a surge of our life giving passion. Often we feel this as rage and anger, but what is under this raw anger is raw passion, life force; divine life force from the energetics of MA. Use this power to take a powerful action step today that will move you closer to your dreams, goals and visions. Often we have to first encounter all that is not working, all that is holding us back from our true potential, in order to get to our true desire and need. I encourage you to dive deep, beyond the rage and look for the gift of your passion. What is your greatest need and desire? What are you willing to do in order to get this manifested? Wednesday, December 24th Today's Intention: Make your steps count! Moon travels through the sacred 28th nakshatra, Abhijit, in the early morning hours before it shifts into Sravana nakshatra at 03:29 am CST, joining exalted Mars in this nakshatra as well. The power and intensity of the emotional body is provoked today as Vishnu and the Moon are enlivened. The theme today is taking three steps- one for each, earth, sky and heaven- as Vishnu did. Let his "three steps" be metaphoric for you today. What are you stepping away from? Where are you standing right now? And what are you moving towards? With Moon and Mars in exact conjunction today, it is an ideal time for powerful action steps. What steps are you taking right now to maximize your life, your potential, your possibilities? For those of you who are truly ready to up level your new year, please join me for my Essentials for Manifestation Workshop! My early bird rate ends tonight at midnight!! Thursday, December 25th Today's Intention: Keep your light on. Moon has crossed over Mars now and jumps into Dhanishta nakshatra at 01:19 am CST, enlivening the Vasu Devas. These are the eight shining stars that bring light, prosperity and illumination to us. They help us transform, change and manifest through their light, helping us truly "shed light" on situations and experiences. Moon is still closely conjunct Mars until later in the day, so be mindful of the emotional body heat and charge available today. Tending to your needs, and honoring yourself through moments of self care will go a long way in keeping you cool and calm, and to keep your light shining. Is it time for a three level check-in?! Moon jumps into Aquarius at 12:17 CST, the domain of Saturn and Rahu, but is out of the gaze of any of the planets. Moon moves to Satabisha nakshatra at 23:18 CST. Friday, December 26th Today's Intention: Prioritize your life and put your self first. Moon transits Satabisha nakshatra in Aquarius, which is a nakshatra ruled by Varuna and Rahu. This star brings an energy of punishment and a necessity for following Natural Laws. Varuna has a thousand eyes and he sees everything- all wrongs especially- and doesn't have a problem showing you your fate. It's especially important to mind your health on Satabisha days and mind the laws of Nature as well. For some, today may feel like a big let down after days of celebration. The collapse after the expansion so to speak. Some may feel this in their body and experience the necessity for getting back on a more healthy and nourishing diet. Some may feel this as mental overwhelm as the to-do lists get longer. Others may feel this express itself as emotional depletion; too much of everything. Make today a self care day. One that nourishes the mental, emotional and physical bodies. I encourage you to use an exercise known as "emptying the head" by writing down all that you have to do on a piece of paper. Circle the top three to five priorities for today and get them done. For those who are ready to make 2015 truly count, join me for my three hour Manifestation class this Sunday! I'll be sharing resources, tools and my transformational process with you in order to make this your best year yet! Moon moves to PurvaBhadra nakshatra at 21:32 CST. Venus moves to UttaraAshada nakshatra at 23:02 CST, inviting in the Vishva Devas and breaks up the trifecta of planets in PurvaAshada. As Venus shifts into the domain of the Vishva Devas, an element of Sun increases, as well as our intensified desire for transformation, change and increased greatness. The coming weeks provide us with the ability to move closer to our desires, by following dharma, passion and our dreams. We will have to make changes in order to make this happen, so be sure you are adjusting your actions accordingly. As the saying goes "some people have dreams, and others stay awake to make them happen." Make your actions count right now and get focused on your transformation process. Saturday, December 27th Today's Intention: Keep one foot on the earth and one foot stepping towards heaven and your dreams. Moon transits PurvaBhadra nakshatra, inviting in the blessings of Ajaikapada and Jupiter. Aja is a Rudra (those who have immense strength) but is also considered a form of Shiva and a form of the Sun. It is known that Aja has the ability to cast off evil, and thus this is a nakshatra of purification. Often PurvaBhadra brings challenges, but as a result of these hardships, we are given opportunities to transform and change. The strength and power of the Rudra energy helps the transformation process occur. Today, retrograde Jupiter will be reminding us to re-visit some parts of ourselves on the mental and emotional body levels. If we are paying attention, we can start our transformation process and take steps to find greater balance, awareness and well being. Mars moves to Dhanishta nakshatra today at 13:34 CST and will transit the abode of the Vasu Devas for just under three weeks. The Vasu Devas bring us light, illumination and vision. They offer us prosperity and the ability to manifest on the material plane of existence, thus they are very materialistic in their support. Quite literally, "the world dwells in them and they dwell in the world." The Vasu Devas originated from jyoti (light) and spark the light within Jyotish. The coming weeks will bring increased opportunities for manifesting our desires, inspiring creativity and helping each one of us shine from the inside out. Because Mars is transiting this nakshatra, the light we express and the light we receive will be a direct result of our action steps! Here's to your powerful action steps and to the increasing light! This is an excellent time to create clarity about how you want to move forward in your life. Are you ready to make 2015 your year of transformation and manifestation? Then you're ready for my Essentials for Manifestation Class. This is the last day to register! Moon moves to Pisces at 14:26 CST, joining Ketu here and into Uttarabhadra nakshatra at 20:07 CST. Sunday, December 28th Today's Intention: Unwrapping your gifts requires your willingness to dive into the depths of your being. Moon transits Pisces with Ketu and receives drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. As Moon moves through Uttarabhadra nakshatra, the serpent of the nether realms, Ahirbudhnya, and Saturn are activated. We are given an opportunity to dive deep today. To go deeply into our subconscious terrain and transform our challenges, misfortunes and obstacles. Ahirbudhnya is a Rudra (much strength and power) as well as a Naga- a serpent that is connected to Ketu and our awakening process. With Moon and Ketu conjunct in Pisces right now, opportunities arrive for us to awaken and transform quickly. Be intentional with your obstacles today. How are these challenges really gifts in disguise? What are you willing to do in order to unwrap these gifts? It is a perfect day to be in my Essentials of Manifestation Workshop. We will be doing just this! I will be sharing with you all the resources and tools I use to transform my obstacles into gifts, in order to create your one precious and powerful life! Moon moves into Revati nakshatra at 19:04 CST and Pushan is activated. Nourishment and prosperity increases through this nakshatra as Pushan is a protective force who helps us on our path, our life travels. Moon nears exact conjunction with Ketu and our sensitivity increases. This is a time to be checking in with your emotional body wisdom and resourcing from your increased feelings. Use this time for awakening to your deep needs and get the nourishment you need. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me.
Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. The new Moon is on Sunday, December 21st, Winter Solstice, at 19:36 CST. Moon is in Sagittarius and Mula Nakshatra at this time, joining Sun in this same position. Sun and Moon conjunct Mercury and Venus, who are both in PurvaAshada nakshatra. This is a particularly unsteady new Moon, with a lot of movement, shift and restructuring potential. It is also a particularly dark, inward and demanding empty Moon- which will ask us to dive deeply into our beings, let go and release from a very core level. The release is necessary in order to increase flow and fluidity, change and movement in the coming cycle. In order for deeper nourishment to arrive in the coming weeks and months, we must be willing to deeply release and let go of any parts of ourselves we have been clinging to. This is a time to be re-tracing our steps, enliven our deepest needs, and awaken our innate truths. This new Moon is also intensified by Winter Solstice, the darkest night of the year for the Northern Hemisphere, and is marked by a natural turning inward, towards our depth and darkness. The need for this turning inward, touching the depth of our darkness, is as natural as turning towards the light. Nature reminds us with her cycles and rhythms, the potency, power and necessity of both light and dark, and our dance with both. This is an ideal time to be working very intentionally with our shadows, our own darkness. Please join me for my free online class this Sunday, Resourcing From Your Shadow on December 21st at 6pm CST. The coming waxing Moon cycle will continue to stir our deepest longings, truths and inner wisdom, while digging up some dirt in the process. As we expand our depths and our darkness, we also expand our container and capacity to hold truth and light. The willingness you have to explore your depths and dive deep, will determine the gifts and awakenings you will be able to enliven and hold in the coming cycles. Your efforts are not futile. Working consciously with your shadows is not for nothing. Strengthen your ability to dance with both your light and your dark parts with more awareness and life will expand in all forms. Creative Ritual for the Waxing Moon Cycle
Expanding our container, our capacity to hold and to release, can physically and metaphorically be done through the breath. Jupiter's retrograde motion through Cancer, is allowing us to retrace steps within our heart, work intentionally with our emotional body, our capacity to feel, while also giving us new opportunities to work with healthy boundaries. The open and close dynamic of boundary work (yes and no) is signified by our inhale and exhale. Below is a breath dance, designed to enliven and maximize your breath awareness and your container for sensing and feeling. 1. Breath Dance. Begin standing, lying down or sitting. Bring your awareness to your breath as it moves in and out of your body. Filling and letting go, opening and releasing, like waves moving in and out of the body. Track the movements and sensations in the body and let these guide you. The sensations will guide you into the physical body impulses, the messages of the body. As you continue to breathe and become more and more aware of the movements of the ribcase, let these movements exaggerate. These exaggerated movements are the making of your "breath dance". Continue to move from and with the movements of the ribcase as you breath. Explore, expand and develop your breath dance for at least 10 minutes. Let it evolve and as it does, continue to self track, noticing the body parts most alive and awake as you explore your body part sensations present. As you bring your breath dance to a close, ask yourself these questions: I sense, I feel, I imagine. 2. Create an image of your ribcase. What colors, textures, shapes and images arrive on the page as you draw your ribcase? I encourage you to get your hands involved in this process whether it be through painting directly with your hands, or smudging the craypas with your fingers. Let the hands be sensitized through the process. Get messy. Let the hands and fingers fully engage in this image. (Working with clay may be an alternate medium to work with). Title your image. Take at least 15 minutes for this. 3. Harvesting. When your image is complete, use it to harvest with further inquiry by asking it these questions: Ask your image if it has anything it would like to share with you: If your image could speak, what would it say? I am I want I need What am I opening to? What am I closing to? Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Moon continues to wane this week, leading us into the depths of our silence, winter Solstice, and the new Moon- this Sunday on the 21st. The intensity from last week continues for us as the tricky gandanta between Scorpio and Sagittarius is still active, as well as Mula nakshatra- who brings uprooting, change, transformation and endings to us. The new Moon truly brings deep shifts- in order for a new year to be enlivened. Make this time truly intentional. Be sure you are on my newsletter list and following along with my Self Care Challenge this week, culminating with a special free class that will help you resource from your shadows, your depths.
Monday, December 15th Today's Intention: Turn shadow into light. Moon transits Virgo and moves from Uttaraphalguni into Hasta nakshatra at 06:11 am CST. Moon moves into close proximity with Rahu, also in Hasta right now. Hasta is ruled by Savitr and the Moon and brings awakenings to us through light. Savitr rules the first rays of dawn just as the light peeks above the horizon line; fresh light, the moment of awakening, the clarity and truth that arrives with this light. Step towards your light rays today, the shadows are right behind you, but you can dance with both. Sun, our light source, is perched at the edge of Scorpio, opening the challenging gandanta portal between water (Scorpio) and fire (Sagittarius). He makes the leap official at 20:49 CST, jumping into the fire and Mula nakshatra, nirrti's domain. This puts Sun, Mercury and Venus in the transformational nakshatra of Mula until tomorrow morning. Tonight is an intense one- of upheaval and change. If you are feeling unsteady, like your roots are being pulled up from your grounding source, this is why. Ground with a 3 level check in, and take this awareness into gentle movement. Get embodied through somatic wisdom. Self care is non-negotiable right now. Have you joined my Self Care Challenge? Tuesday, December 16th Today's Intention: Plan your life by sensing and feeling into what nourishes you. Moon is conjunct Rahu in the very early hours of the morning for the Central time zone. The shadows are influencing our emotional body and mental body right now and intensifying both our mind and emotions. This is a powerful time in general to look directly at your shadows and intentionally work with challenges, blockages, and the general intensity being shown to us. Use this time to uproot and transform your darkness and bring it to the light. As Moon shifts into Chitra nakshatra at 08:32 am CST, Moon begins to move away from tight conjunction with Rahu and we begin to feel a shift towards action steps, motivation and empowerment. This might show up as anger, rage and increased passion. Look for the message under the fire. Vishvakarma and Mars are the rulers of Chitra and as his name and planetary association suggests, he is a god of action, creation and also creativity. Increased flow and creativity may flood into us as the water planet Venus moves into PurvaAshada nakshatra at 07:56 am CST. This breaks up the congestion of three planets in Mula nakshatra, Nirrti's domain of uprooting, dishevelment and chaos. Venus's shift into PurvaAshada, invites in resources from Apas, the water goddess, which will help us purify and nourish more deeply at this time, while also inviting in a deepening of our senses and feelings. Let emotions flow, the the internal waters within you flow, and keep your inner tides moving. Use embodiment, dance, and the arts as your primary resources as these are ruled by Venus, and they can offer healing and transformation while keeping our internal waters flowing, during this time of shift and change. Moon moves into Libra at 21:28 CST. Wednesday, December 17th Today's Intention: Harness your inner winds, spread your wings and fly. Moon shifts into Swati nakshatra at 10:13 am CST, inviting in Vayu and Swati's planetary ruler, Rahu, to our day. Vayu is the wind god whose high winds bring movement, change, and strength. As one of the eight Vasudevas, Vayu brings illumination and resources to us. Today, look for your inner strength and use it as a powerful resource and reminder of what you are capable of. Have you joined my Self Care Challenge this week? Make sure you are on my newsletter list in order to receive all the updates. This challenge culminates on the Solstice with a powerful online class: Resourcing From Your Shadows. Please join me! Thursday, December 18th Today's Intention: The support you need is already here. Are you allowing it into your life? Moon continues to transit Libra, but changes into Vishaka nakshatra at 11:09 am CST. The dual god force, Indragni and the planet Jupiter step into our day, enlivening a different kind of transformation and change for us. As this dual god expresses, two is better than one! The power and force of Indra, combines with the transformational abilities of Agni, and voila, a super force is created! This is a reminder to resource with co-creation, joining forces and being able to receive support from others. We are not in this life process alone! Transform, heal and shift the relationship you have with yourself, in order to invite in more nourishment from others. Friday, December 19th Today's Intention: "There is a voice that doesn't use words, listen." - Rumi The Moon continues to wane and enters the 13th tithi today. Emptiness is nearing. Moon shifts into Scorpio at 05:19 CST, exemplifying our approach into the darkness and emptiness of the final new Moon of the year while simultaneously being Winter Solstice. The rawness of our inner depths are here, palpable, and should be beckoning us inward. We must not neglect the darkness for the attraction of the light and we must not neglect our light for the compelling draw of the darkness. Rather, integration, union of seemingly opposing forces within us and around us, is the most worthy effort of all. Being able to dance with shadow and light is paramount. Join me for my free online class this Sunday, Resourcing From Your Shadow. Once Moon moves into Anuradha at 11:17 CST, we shift our attention to pieces of the whole. The merging quality of Vishaka transforms us and Anuradha invites in the finer details available to us once with merge, unify and coexist. Mitra, the ruler here, as well as Saturn, help us with structure, fine detail and putting pieces of the puzzle together; essentially, making meaning out of separateness. We do this with love, devotion and wisdom. Moon in Scorpio joins Saturn here and receives drishti from Jupiter and Ketu as well. Moon is in exact conjunction with Saturn around 15:00 CST. The effects on the Moon today offers us a combination of structure, wisdom and change simultaneously. Emotionally this may appear as depression, frustration or anger. Work with the underlying needs of your emotional body and seek the wisdom it is offering you. Don't bypass what arrives. Ground with a 3 level check in, and take this awareness into gentle movement. Get embodied through somatic wisdom. Self care is non-negotiable right now. Saturday, December 20th Today's Intention: Befriend your mind, trust your emotions, listen to your body, embrace spirit. Moon has passed over Saturn now and begins to separate from tight conjunction, but still transits Scorpio. Moon shifts into Jyeshtha nakshatra at 10:40 am CST, inviting in a full dose of Indra and his power. Jyeshta is ruled by the planet Mercury, expressing that our power is most potently rooted in the mind. Yet being able to harness this power is ultimately the source of our strength and abilities. Learning to harness the mental body, its stories, illusions and intelligence, is so vital for our well being. We can't bypass the gifts of the emotional and physical bodies, nor neglect their potency for our existence, though the mind will pull us out of our truest senses and feelings if it gets the chance! Indra reminds us that harnessing the mind, the mental body, and its faculties, provides us with the ultimate strength we need to overcome all challenges and illusions. Sunday, December 21st Today's Intention: Let go and let flow. Let go and let god. Moon is in the 15th tithi, the final phase of the waning cycle. The Moon is now making the tricky gandanta passage, crossing from Scorpio into Sagittarius. Venus, Mercury and Sun have already made this leap and jumped right into Mula, the domain of Nirrti- goddess of uprooting and all things adharmic, against dharma. Moon's passage into this junction point signals the final shift of this cycle, the final transformational piece we need in order to extract the dark nourishment of this time. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 09:26 am CST, joining Venus, Mercury and Sun there already. This puts three planets in Mula until Mercury shifts into PurvaAshada at 13:30 CST today. As Mercury makes this shift, we should begin to feel another level of nourishment arrive to us. This may come as open floodgates, moving internal waters, the creative flow moving within. The mental body may feel flooded with thoughts, ideas, images, imagination. Capture what you can, but let the rest flow out and through you. Use the coming weeks and days to capture the most potent and alive pieces moving through you, but keep the intention of nourishment, release and cleansing. The new Moon is at 19:36 CST with Moon in Sagittarius and Mula Nakshatra. It is the Winter Solstice, the darkest night of the year, when a natural turning inward, towards our depth and darkness, takes place. Please join me for my free online class this Sunday, Resourcing From Your Shadow. Moon is now waxing, yet the week starts with a very new Moon still, which is quite empty. It will move through third to tenth tithis or Moon phases this week. We may notice our energy picking up as a result later in the week, especially as Mars shifts into its sign of exaltation this week. Monday, November 24th Today's Intention: Churn your ocean of milk into butter. Moon hops into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra just after midnight central time zone. Moon joins Mars here. Mercury is at the edge of Libra and Jupiter has moved to sandhi degrees (it is over 28 degrees of Cancer). Mula is ruled by Nirrti, the goddess of adharma (against dharma) and she brings with her the ability to break, disrupt, and uproot. She is like the plow to our inner fields. She can help us pull up weeds and prepare our soil for a new garden. Don't let her toss out the good stuff though! As the planet Ketu rules this nakshatra, we can get insights and work with self discovery today, or insanity and fragility. Go gentle, go slow and attend to your self care. Mercury moves into Scorpio at 02:13 am CST, joining a packed house! Venus, Sun, and Saturn are also in Scorpio right now- all receive drishti from Jupiter and Ketu. With Mercury (mental body) arriving into the sign of transformation, we can expect the mind to go through shifts and changes in the coming weeks. Mind, emotions and body are all extra sensitive right now as Saturn and Ketu touch our depths. This is an important time of self care, while also bravely going into our shadow parts and doing some deeper investigative work. What are the strong emotions, sensations and feelings coming to you right now? What stories is the mental body sharing with you? Use these as insights in order to go further into your depths as you seek healing and insights. Be willing to probe below the surface. Moon moves to PurvaAshada at 23:07 CST. Tuesday, November 25th Today's Intention: Gain momentum from your inner steam. Venus shifts into Jyeshtha nakshatra at 01:58 am CST. Let creativity and communication merge now. Create, co-create and work on sharing your creative offerings with others in the coming days. Mars moves to sandhi degrees at the edge of Sagittarius. Moon transits PurvaAshada, conjunct Mars in Sagittarius. PurvAshada is ruled by Aditi, the water goddess, as well as Venus. This combination is all about sensing and feeling our internal waters, working with the rising and lowering tides within. With the Mars Moon conjunction happening currently, we can access our intense, passionate internal waters in a very tangible way. You may experience anger and agitation, but look closely. Underneath that anger is intense, palpable passion. This passion is a gift from the divine Mother herself. Rise with these strong waters and take some powerful action steps. These passionate tides are here to help you shift, change and transform. Use them wisely. Swift moving Mercury conjoin Saturn in the 2 degree range later today. Get embodied and spare yourself some headaches. Moon moves to UttarAshada at 21:43 CST. Wednesday, November 26th Today's Intention: Put your dreams into action. Moon transits UttarAshada, and is in exact conjunction with Mars in the early hours of the morning central time zone. Moon then jumps into Capricorn at 03:21 am CST, while Rahu, Jupiter and Saturn give their drishti to Moon now. Watch for over working, over pushing and forcing outcomes over the next few days. This tendency and theme of pushing too hard, continues in the coming month and a half, once Mars goes exalted here in Capricorn tomorrow. It's as though the Moon is ushering us into this cycle and giving us a jump start on this activation. Let UttarAshada and the Vishva Devas be a resource of positivity, strength and self reliance today. Let them help you overcome your obstacles and harness the positivity of this time. Lead by example and show others the way. Swift moving Mercury is cruising through Scorpio right now, already shifting into Anuradha nakshatra today at 04:43 am CST. Gather your resources in the coming days, friends and all. On an inner level, use this time to put some pieces together from your inner depths. Let the mental body guide you with this. Moon moves into Sravana nakshatra at 20:13 CST, inviting in Vishnu to our evening. Thursday, November 27th Today's Intention: Expand yourself and what feels possible, but be here now. Mars hops into its sign of exaltation, Capricorn, just after midnight central time zone at 00:57 am CST. The next month and a half are potent, powerful and fully ignited by the fire of Mars. This is a time to get a lot accomplished, take powerful action steps, and get goals set and structured. Be mindful of pushing too hard, over-working, forcing outcomes and neglecting your self care. Pay special attention to your anger, as there will be many potent and powerful messages coming to you by way of this emotion. Moon transits Sravana nakshatra today, inviting in Vishnu and his expansiveness to our day. Vishnu is responsible for maintaining dharma, for passing knowledge and wisdom through his ruling element, Akasha, space. With Moon receiving drishti from Jupiter, Rahu and Saturn today, while conjunct newly exalted Mars in Capricorn. We may feel four levels of pressure occurring simultaneously. Paying special attention to your emotional body wisdom will be important today. Where is the pressure coming from and how can you relieve it safely? How can you get more nourished and what is the underlying need below the emotion? If we can harness the awareness of being pulled in multiple directions, we can likely find a neutral territory in the center of the chaos. Today, seek the neutral, the center, the integration of opposites and extremes. Expand yourself by standing in the center of yourself. Doing a three level check in can help you find this. Moon moves into Dhanishta nakshatra at 18:43 CST and the Vasu Devas are ushered in to offer their light. Friday, November 28th Today's Intention: This little light of mine, I'm gunna let it shine. Moon transits Dhanishta nakshatra, ruled by the Vasu Devas and the planet Mars. Once it moves into Aquarius at 05:59 am CST, it gets out of the frying pan and excess pressure from four other planets. Likely we will feel the sense of relief and things smoothing out- inner and outer- as a result. Notice today how there is a need for both slow and fast. I urge you to surrender to the slow, steady and physical body needs. Honor your body, give it TLC, move it gently and harvest through its wisdom. The Vasu Devas allow us to shine, to give and receive our light and to be illuminated. Open your creative channels and let your light shine! Create, share, express, give and receive your abundant light. What makes you shine brightly? Do this. Moon moves to Satabisha nakshatra at 17:16 CST inviting in Varuna. Saturday, November 29th Today's Intention: Move the destructive forces within you and let them dance into a new form. Moon transits Satabisha nakshatra and the deity Varuna, as well as Rahu, arrive into our day. Varuna guards Natural Law, the order of the universe and he rules over karmas connected to suffering and disease. He has immense knowledge because he understands the spectrum of experience available to us in our human form. He reminds us to properly care for our body, mind and emotions to prevent suffering. Moon shifts into PurvaBhadrapada at 15:56 CST, and Ajaikapada arrives into our evening with Jupiter- both rule this nakshatra. Ajaikapada is another name for Shiva, Lord of the Dance. With one foot up and one foot rooted into the earth, he symbolizes immense feats, the delicate balance of life, and the dance between movement and stability. Sunday, November 30th Today's Intention: Sift and sort the pieces of your life. Make new friends, but keep the old. Saturn shifts into Anuradha nakshatra at 08:54 am CST and will be in this lunar constellation for a little over a year. This is a good shift for Saturn to make and it will likely be a valuable transit for helping us put the pieces together in our lives that need to be re-assembled, re-stored and re-aligned, in order for greater wholeness. Since Saturn is in Scorpio, it's very definitely a time of deconstruction, change and transformation, yet with Saturn transiting the friendly star of Anuradha, ruled by Mitra, we have a chance to create some helpful and lasting changes for ourselves- if we are willing and able to work with the finer details of our lives. Mitra is the deity of friendship, so expect him to offer support and resources for building alliances over the course of 2015. Anuradha is ruled by Saturn, so this is a constellation that does well with Saturn's finite abilities. Gain resources through networking, connecting, sharing, being benevolent, speaking the sweet truth. It will, however, be very important to remember the big picture over the next year, as Mitra and Saturn may get us lost in the fine details of life, forgetting the bigger, overall, reality of existence. Read more about the Saturn in Scorpio transit. Moon jumps into Pisces at 9:01 am CST, joining Ketu there and receives drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. Moon moves into UttaraBhadrapada at 14:44 CST. Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the nether realms, helps us today with uncovering hidden parts of ourselves. He is a Rudra, a strong force of Nature, one that can remove calamities, misfortunes and can help us overcome obstacles. With Moon in conjunction with Ketu and receiving gaze from Rahu, it's important to remember self care guidelines, and pay special attention to your emotional body in the coming days. Flashes of insight and awareness may arrive today, yet may trigger discomfort. Work with your discomfort effectively, invite it in for a cup of tea, and begin to find a new relationship with your disillusionment. Now's the time to transform your shadow parts.
