Moon is waning and is new on Saturday morning while in Scorpio. Let this week inform your emptying, your release, your letting go. These themes are alive and well right now as we have Venus, Sun and Saturn now in Scorpio. Monday, November 17th Today's Intention: Open and close the doors of your being with great intention. Moon moves to Virgo at 01:39 am CST, joining Rahu here and getting direct aspect from Ketu; he is still transiting Uttaraphalguni. Aryaman continues to rule our day bringing with him an extra dose of Sun as well. He rules the second half of the Phalguni stars and helps us with sustaining creativity, fertility and co-creation. Aryaman is connected to the ancestors, to lineage and to that which sustains and nourishes in a lasting way; as steady stream of creative intelligence. The next few days bring a certain intensity to our healing process. As Moon gets closer to Rahu, our emotional body connects deeply with our shadow self. Do we dance with these dark tides? Or do we get tossed around by them like a ship at sea? With three planets in Scorpio now, our depth, our shadow, and our darkness provides us with opportunity. Opportunity for growth and change, or opportunity for suffering and challenge. If you are going for change, navigate your ship by confronting what is. Pull from your depths and ask your shadow to share its gifts with you. Use your creative currents to help you navigate these waters. A three level check in will help with the identification process. Moon transits into Hasta nakshatra at 21:30, joining Rahu here in this nakshatra. Bring on the dance of shadow and light! Recite the Gayatri Mantra for awakening the magic and use your hands to activate and enliven your creative channels. Tuesday, November 18th Today's Intention: Step towards your darkness and ask it to share its gifts with you. Saturn and Sun are in exact conjunction at 02:34 am CST. As I've been mentioning in my recent posts, this is an important time of embodiment and harvesting from the wisdom of the body. The cosmos are inviting us right now to honor and deeply listen to the wisdom of the body. Are you ready to listen? Saturn and Sun's conjunction is an expression of this need to harvest from our inner resources. Saturn is the structure of the physical body, while Sun is the illumination of our soul. Frustrations arise with this combination when we resist, push too hard and force ourselves. Saturn and Sun conjunction can share with us the experience of ultimate burnout. Now is an excellent time to work with embodiment techniques, work with the now, resourcing from the needs of the physical body moment to moment. Here is some help for your process. Moon continues to dance through Hasta nakshatra, nearing exact conjunction with Rahu today. My suggestions from yesterday still prevail. How you choose to work with your shadow matters immensely. Rahu is our inner darkness, our demons (asura energy). He brings us our suffering, our illusion, our pains, our weaknesses and greatest challenges. Do you choose to negate this- or invite it in for deeper awareness? What can your own darkness tell you about your light? What gifts are lurking in your shadows? Let Savitr, the deity of our own dawning, and Hasta's ruler, help you bring in greater awareness today. Your courageous actions steps will be rewarded. Moon and Rahu are in exact conjunction at 23:08 CST. Moon moves into Chitra nakshatra at 23:29 CST. Wednesday, November 19th Today's Intention: Transform through creative activation and creative action steps. What transformation can you make today through creative activation, creative action steps? Moon has crossed over Rahu now, and has entered into Chitra nakshatra. This enlivens Vishvakarma and the planet Mars, the planet of karma yoga. As his name suggests, Vishvakarma is a deity of creative action. He is considered the cosmic architect, creative beyond measure. The awakenings that were enlivened yesterday, are now given an opportunity to shift and change through our action steps. Creativity is an ideal channel to move our hindrances, our blockages, that which is keeping us from our channels of light and inner light resources. The alchemical and transformational changes possible through creative acts have been well researched and documented. Are you using the arts as a resource for your healing? Here's why I mix jyotish and the arts in order for maximum awakening. Moon moves into Libra today at 12:15 CST, joining Mercury here. Sun moves into Anuradha nakshatra today at 13:26 CST, and Mitra helps us illuminate details, connections, and nourishment through our friends and support systems. These may be the missing pieces we need to fully integrate our changes and transformations. Let Mitra support you in the coming days and attract what you need for nourishment, support and greater connection. As Anuradha is ruled by Saturn, the physical body is an excellent resource for finding greater inner support and stability. Work with your physical structure as a tool of insight and awareness. Embodiment is a crucial resource as a result. With Venus in Anuradha right now as well (both conjunct Saturn in Scorpio), creativity and embodiment work are an ideal combination for gaining deep and meaningful insights. This is an ideal time for putting the pieces together by using the body and the arts. Thursday, November 20th Today's Intention: Move with your powerful internal winds, and harness your greatness. Sun begins to move away from close conjunction with Saturn but our diligence is still required with caring for our body, reducing burn out and resourcing with radical self care. Moon and Mercury are both in Libra right now and Mercury is in the same degree as Rahu and Ketu today, so additionally the mental body may be feeling frazzled and shadowed, worn down and worn out. This is yet another reminder to be caring for ourselves properly right now. Extra self care is essential. Be sure to use a three level check in to help you identify your needs. Moon moves to Swati nakshatra at 00:52 am CST, inviting in Vayu, the wind god, and a layer of Rahu into our day. Prana becomes an essential resource today. Let your internal winds dictate your needs. Work with the breath, not against it. Moon moves to the 14th tithi, or Moon phase. As the Moon continues to wane, nearing complete emptiness on Saturday, we continue to work with the theme of release and letting go, each in our own way. Today might be an ideal time to focus on your exhale, your out breath. Is your release complete? Here's a simple breath exercise to work with today: Inhale. What am I inviting into my body, my life? Exhale. What am I releasing from my body, my life? Friday, November 21st Today's Intention: We all have to serve somebody. Moon moves into Vishaka nakshatra at 01:34 am CST and the dual god Indragni as well as Jupiter enliven in order to share their gifts with us. Moon enters the final phase of its waning cycle today, the 15th tithi. Moon conjuncts Mercury today, so paying special attention to our mental and emotional body's today will be important. How do they inform each other? Self track and notice your dance between mental body and emotional body. How are they dancing with each other and what is your physical response to each of them? Indra and Agni combine in Vishaka nakshatra to help us learn how to co-create, join forces in order to strengthen ourselves, and to master community and interrelating. "Two is better than one" exemplifies Vishaka's nature. There is a dual nature here, which helps us examine the mirror, the other, in our lives. It helps us look at our polarities and the many different personas and masks we work with. What is your split personality? Your twin or alter ego? This is another one of your dances to be aware of today. Moon moves to Scorpio at 19:41 CST, joining Saturn, Sun and Venus there. All four planets receive drishti from Ketu and Jupiter. Moon is in exact degrees with Saturn as the day ends. Pay special attention to getting rest, tending to your physical and emotional needs tonight. Saturday, November 22nd Today's Intention: Start putting the pieces of your heart back to together. Moon moves to Anuradha nakshatra at 01:39 CST, inviting in Mitra and Saturn to our day. Sun and Venus have already moved to Anuradha, but Saturn in in Vishaka still. With Four planets in Scorpio right now, transformations and depth are part of our experience, carrying us through the coming waxing Moon cycle. New Moon is at 06:32 am CST in Scorpio and Anuradha nakshatra. This new Moon invites in a certain mystical element, one that invites us to go into our depths and harvest our inner riches. But don't be surprised if you discover shadows instead of light, as this is the gift of Scorpio, the 8th house, and its ability to transform our beings. Read more about this new Moon and the coming waxing cycle, as well as a special Creative Ritual to help you work with your depth and presence. With multiple layers of Mitra influencing us today, fine detail becomes our theme. Mitra is a deity that rules precision, exactness, focus and detail, while also being considered the "friendly star". This soft, mild and gentle star, allows us to probe into the details of our being, contemplate, honor and acquire the details we need to tend to our heart, and our emotional body wisdom. Today can help us put pieces together, to help make sense of the nonsensical, to attend and tend to our brokenness- an illusion of the shadow. Make your emotional body and physical embodiment your priority today and harvest from the wisdom of your own knowing. Mars moves to UttarAshada at 16:47 CST, shifting our recent focus from sensing and feeling and taking action steps based on this ability, and into a focus on doing right and righteous action steps. The coming two weeks will provide us with a certain tenacity to achieve dreams, goals and desires. It will be through our action steps, our courage and our bravery though that we get the job done. A gentle reminder to not push too hard, to overdo your actions, and not to force outcomes. The motto of UttarAshada and the Vishvadevas, however is "some people have dreams, and others stay awake to make them happen." If you don't like your job, your relationships, or the direction your life is heading, remember that you are the only one who can change it. Now is the time like never before. Ask the Vishva Devas for their assistance. Sunday, November 23rd Today's Intention: Dance with your senses and let them bring your awakening. Moon hops into Jyeshtha nakshatra at 01:12 am CST, and Indra, the king of the devas, emerges into our day. The strength of Indra is expressed in his rulership of the rain, as he is the rain god, a most powerful force. Rain is essential for life, however, too much of a good thing can be harmful. On the human body level, Indra rules the prana running through our us, giving us our life force. He also rules our senses. The senses are powerful forces of being, of experiencing and of listening. Though a certain level of control is important to use with our senses, our main job should be working with them, not against them. Honoring the senses and deeply listening to their messages can truly bring awakening. Rooted in the senses is our animal awareness, the gift of our humanness. Do we listen to these gifts or negate, suppress and dishonor them? Let your senses be guides for you, just learn how to assist your guidance system effectively. Today is an excellent time for a 3 level check in and some somatic work. Meditation can be helpful to get the mental body in check. Dive into your being and harness your greatness. A three level check in will help with the identification process. Need ome extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. For many this is a very challenging time. I want to remind you that we are still in between the eclipses, and nearing the Solar Eclipse on the 23rd. This solar eclipse occurs during Diwali, the celebration of light in the Vedic Calendar (more about this below). With four planets in Chitra nakshatra, Mars is really strongly activated right now. Our anger/agitation, critic/judge, sense of righteousness and inner fire may be aggravated. There is a natural piercing and cutting happening on multiple levels. The veils are thin- and if we are really paying attention we should be seeing our shadows, like never before. Pay attention, but don't necessarily respond or act until after the eclipse cycle has passed. Trust that your pieces will fall more naturally into place once the dust settles a bit. Until then, remember small action steps, embodiment, breath awareness and self care. Monday, October 20th Today’s Intention: Dance and paint your visions into reality. Moon moves into Uttaraphalguni, at 11:47 am CDT, inviting in Aryaman for our day, with an extra dash of Sun. Resources, creative and otherwise, are offered to us today. Stability, support and ancestral assistance arrives. This is a star that offers sustainability through relationships, partnerships and connections. It’s the work and effort we put into them that provides us with lasting nourishment. This is a time of asking for what you want and need. Be willing though to put in the necessary effort it takes for your efforts to be worth it. The work you do now, will pay off for you and your lineage in the future, so make your steps count. Continue working intentionally with your potent creativity. Creativity is your power, your stability in this life. It is our reason for life and living. Use your creativity to affirm and confirm what you want in your life and who you want in it. Let the arts serve as the tool for awakening your sleeping creative forces. Dance and paint your dreams into reality and capture the aliveness, the potency, the shakti, of your creative life force. Moon enters the 13th tithi (Moon phase) today, moving towards complete emptiness this week with the new Moon. Retrograde Mercury (now in its position of exaltation, Virgo) is closely conjunct Rahu, our shadows. Mind is being highly influenced by our shadows right now. With Ketu's direct aspect, expect the mental body to be cracked open. Let in the light and look for resources. As Moon hops into Virgo at 18:25 CDT, the mental body and emotional body intensify this dance- as well as our fragility. The major planetary shifts have passed now until Saturn moves into Scorpio on November 2nd (an article on this transit will be out later this week). For now, Libra continues to force our attention, asking us to confront our issues about balance, relationships and getting the support we need. Exalted Saturn is poised for change and in the gap now, sandhi at over 28 degrees. Debilitated Sun forces us to confront issues with ego and our sense of Self. While Venus in Libra (it's own sign) increases our ability to find more flow, possibility and resources for balance with these themes. Creativity (Venus's domain) is an essential resource for finding new possibilities and literally re-creating your life. Be intentional with your creative process right now. Tuesday, October 21st Today's Intention: Don't be afraid to be broken open. Light enters through our broken places. Moon transits Virgo, conjunct retrograde exalted Mercury. Retrograde planets intensify the indications of the planet, while a retrograde planet in its sign of exaltation becomes debilitated (uccha banga). This is a very interesting combination we are experiencing right now. As this delicate, debilitated mental body is confronting its shadows head on, we are likely to feel our shadows intensify with mind games included. Mercury and Rahu are in exact conjunction in the very wee hours of the morning. This may be a time where our mental turmoil is exacerbated as well as phobias, fears and psychic disturbances. As Moon joins this combination, we may be overwhelmed by emotional triggers as well. I can not overemphasize the need for embodiment at this time. Keep it small, affirming and gentle. Use a three level check in to name the issues coming up for you and try to separate the messages and needs of each body- mental, emotional and physical. This check in is a very concrete step to help us work directly with our internal "pause to check" system. I also suggest using some EFT (emotional freedom technique) to calm any increased fight or flight coming up for you at this time. Do not push yourself right now. Less is more. Moon moves into Hasta nakshatra at 14:10 CDT and Savitr offers a bit of light. This light may intensify the reflection coming towards us, or it may offer a glimmer of hope and possibility. Savitr brings insights and new realizations which may be stunners. The hands are a primary resource for this nakshatra. Use the hands to enliven the light and awareness available to you. This may be through creativity and the arts- working with clay, painting, etc. I suggest creating a dance and some body movement that begins with the hands. Use the hands as an entry point for your dance and let their function- grasping and releasing- be a metaphor for your life process. What are you grasping and holding? What are you releasing and letting go? Practice the opening and closing as you work with the hands directly. Use Gayatri Mantra to induce more light and magic. Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥtát savitúr váreṇ(i)yaṃbhárgo devásya dhīmahidhíyo yó naḥ prachodáyāt Wednesday, October 22nd Today's Intention: Make your action steps count. What is good for you is good for others. Moon jumps into the 15th tithi and Chitra nakshatra. Moon is almost completely empty as we near our final eclipse of the year. Moon in Chitra puts five planets in this Mars ruled nakshatra- Moon, Mercury and Rahu are in very close conjunction. Use yesterday's information to walk through your day. Chitra is ruled by Vishvakarma, the builder, the architect of the cosmos. He helps us with our action steps, making them potent and powerful. As his name denotes, action is a part of what he offers us. Since he is also an Aditya, he can provide us with resources for our life. He is often considered an incarnation of Lord Brahma, the god who brings the unmanifest into manifest form. Great karma yoga can happen with Vishvakarma. This is an essential reminder right now during the current planetary intensity. Be of service to others, let seva be a driving force for you and your actions. How can your actions serve you and others as a divine offering? Ultimately, this is dharma. Actions steps building upon your action steps. Surrender to the process. Use your creativity to expand the actions you take. Sun and Venus are in exact conjunction today, creating a combustion, excess heat and torching our creative energy. Watch for burnout, excess fatigue. Notice where you are pushing too hard and missing the messages of this delicate time period. Relationships are vulnerable right now as well as our creative fluidity. Self care and extra nourishment is essential. Thursday, October 23rd Today's Intention: Light your candle, even if it's only a tiny flame. Retrograde, debilitated Mercury moves back into Hasta nakshatra, inviting in a sense of light and flicker of wisdom. Ask Savitr for guidance and inspiration. Let mind and hands work together in the coming weeks. Hand eye coordination is maximized during this time period. Use the arts to increase this potential; playing music, painting, drawing, writing, can all increase the light within. We may feel some increased hope and possibility today because of this transition- as well as through the other significant changes today. Moon moves into Libra at 04:52 am CDT, joining debilitated Sun, combust Venus in its own sign, and an exalted yet sandhi (in the gap) Saturn. The instability of the times may intensify our sense of burnout today. Move towards the resources and seek moments of pause that can be a resource for you. Relationships, our sense of balance, our stability and support may feel uncertain and off balance right now. I encourage you to look for the smallest of resources and let this help you build resilience. Don't force outcomes right now. Ease forward gently. Diwali (or Deepavali) is a very significant five day festival in the Vedic tradition. This year, the festivities begin on the 18th in the USA, and continue until the 25th. The most significant day of the Diwali festivities is today because of the new Moon. This is a celebration of light, of Lakshmi, and our divine resources. The festival of light spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. As the solar eclipse is occurring simultaneously, we literally are experiencing an eclipse of our light, our solar energy, our soul. Today, let in the light, the abundance that is present in your life- no matter how small or nuanced. Turn on the light switch of your soul and let this be a poignant moment, intentionally driving out the shadows and inviting in more light to your life. Possibility, hope and joy are significant resources. Honor Lakshmi, light a candle at your altar and invoke her spirit of abundance and wealth. New Moon is at 16:57 CDT while Moon is in Libra and Chitra nakshatra. Moon moves to Swati nakshatra at 17:31 CDT. The partial solar eclipse begins at 17:00 CDT and continues until 18:52 CDT. A lot of movement and shifts are happening within this two hour time frame. Use this time for meditation, invocation and setting intentions if possible. Swati nakshatra increases shadow, movement and shape shifting. The rule of Swati, Vayu the wind god, increases these tendencies. Symbolically, this partial solar eclipse ushers in the next waxing cycle for us. This is a cycle that brings essential balancing for the pieces of our life that have been causing upheaval. The balance occurs once we slowly sift and settle into our new choices and action steps. Digestion and assimilation of the past month bring the stability we are seeking. Finding the most nourishing morsels of our lives and what our greatest needs are, becomes our driving force. Transformation becomes the nourishment, as well as instigates the nourishment we need. Seek transformation and let new resources feed you. Your emotional body is a vital resource for making wise choices and action steps. Whatever your intuitive knowing offers you- go there. Use this wisdom to guide you. Restructure the way you offer yourself, how you share your wisdom. Shift the way you seek wisdom and knowledge. Invite in innovation. Let the body be a primary creative resource for you. Resource from the wisdom of the body. Listen deeply and ask your body to give you the guidance you are seeking. Pelvis and hips can be a resource for informing the way you dance with stability, support, moving forward and containment. How can you move forward with greater stability and support? Read more about this in my New Moon Wisdom article. Friday, October 24th Today's Intention: Listen to your internal winds for vital physical body messages. Surrender to the winds of change. Moon transits Swati nakshatra, ruled by Vayu and Rahu, increasing movement, change and transition. There is a certain intensity with this nakshatra because Vayu is a Rudra. Strength and fierceness are invoked. This lessens the intense stalemate of planets in Chitra nakshatra that we've been working with for the past days and weeks. But now, swift movement and change are inevitable. Vayu is connected to prana, our internal winds and vital life force. Vayu is worshiped as the "breath of the gods". We are each touched by gods breath through Swati nakshatra. Speak, move, invoke this divine life force. Let it move you and help you create your new dance, your new direction. Venus moves into Swati nakshatra at 05:35 CDT and the shift from multiple planets in Chitra, shifts to multiple planets in Swati. This shift invites in creative movement and change. Changes and shifts with our relationships, our sense of balance and stability. Creativity, and its constant flux, flow and change, is our stabilizing force. Ground. Keep working with the pelvis as a resource for stability and creative vitality. The close combustion of Venus and Sun continues as Venus chases the Sun. Heat and passion intensifies so watch for sparks and aggression. Just after midnight, Sun shifts into Swati nakshatra as well. Sun in Swati nakshatra invites in a two week period of big shifts and changes as Saturn moves into Scorpio for the next 2.5 years. Sun invokes these shifts, the movement and the winds of change. Since Vayu is one of the eight Vasudevas, who are sources of illumination, there is light and inspiration that can arrive as well as resources. These resources and inspiration should be linked to dharma and Vayu will give the support we need to increase this nourishment. Since wind cools things off, we may notice a coolness or a detachment in ourselves emotionally at this time. Don't forget to check in with your emotional body during this time period as we may be missing vital messages. Use a three level check for resourcing. Moon shifts into Vishaka nakshatra at 18:27 CDT, invoking Indragni and a need for alliance and support systems. Saturday, October 25th Today's Intention: Let the shape shifting begin! Moon transits Vishaka nakshatra and Indragni orients us towards alliances, support systems and co-creation. Work with a sense of togetherness, and how to resource with connection and the nourishment we can receive from building relationships. There is much symbolism with the alliance of Indra and Agni. These dual gods remind us that two heads are better than one. That we need a hierarchy of power in order to thrive, and that we all serve each other, no matter the hierarchy. There is a connection to the altar here as well, making offerings to the divine, and the transformation that occurs when we do this act of worship. Alchemy, the transformation process of our offerings, is heightened today. Take note of what you are offering, how you are offering it, and to who. What shifts need to take place and who can you align with to increase its power and potency? Moon moves to Scorpio at 12:51 CDT. Mercury goes direct today at 14:13 CDT, returning him to his exalted status in Virgo. Technically he is considered "in his own sign" as he's over 15 degrees right now, but this strength should help with mental matters, commerce, business and finances, as well as creativity. These issues start to move in a more forward direction for us now. Moon moves to Anuradha nakshatra at 18:55 CDT, and Mitra enters our awareness. Sunday, October 26th Today's Intention: Don't get lost in the details. Moon transits Scorpio and Anuradha nakshatra today, enlivening Mitra and his precision. Moon receives drishti from Jupiter and Ketu. Both Sun and Moon are debilitated right now. This can be a very inward time of introspection, and may result in a lack of external focus. This tendency is increased as Moon is still small in the fourth tithi, though waxing now. Use this time to quietly restructure your visions and goals instead. Plant your seeds of desire and motivate energetically for your future. Mitra is an Aditya, known for giving resources and material support. He is a form of the Sun and relates to friendship, companionship, connections, and fine details. Anuradha can help us with alliances, connections, and building resources through our relationships. Moon moves to Jyeshtha nakshatra at 18:58 CDT. Indra's sensory sensitivity and overall strength help us overcome some obstacles. Tend to your wild horses (your senses) and don't let them run away with you. Monday, October 27th Today's Intention: Tame your wild horses! Moon transits Jyeshtha nakshatra and Indra, as well as Mercury rule the day. Indra heightens our senses, as well as our sensory sensitivity. He reminds us of the strength we can gain when we can control our senses and learn to channel them more directly. This is power. With Sun and Moon debilitated simultaneously, our sensitivity is more extreme. Pay attention to your subtle needs and listen to your intuition. Make sure your mental body doesn't lead you astray. Use a three level check for awareness. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 18:37 CDT, inviting in some disruptions and chaos. Moon joins Mars here and intensifies the changes. Saturn's drishti on both Mars and Moon increase the pressure and force. There is wisdom coming in the back door with with this calamity and restructuring, so look for the gifts that are arriving. The more space you can clear, the more space there will be for the new. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. New Moon is on Wednesday early morning at 01:14 am CDT signifying the beginning of the fall Navaratri celebrations. This nine day festival honors the holy goddess trinity of Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The festivities culminate on the 10th day (Vijayadashami) which honors Durga's defeat of the demon Mahishasura. The sacredness of this time period is explained more in my Navaratri article. You’re invited to participate in my 10 day Self Care Challenge as a way to honor this important passage into fall and winter. Join the FB Group here.
Monday, September 22nd Today’s Intention: Find nourishment in relating and co-creating. Moon transits Leo and moves into Purvaphalguni nakshatra at 01:47 am CDT. This enlivens Venus and Bhaga, the deity of love, relationship and creativity. Bhaga is an Aditya, one of the twelve gods who provide us with resources for this life experience. He dispenses wealth and happiness, luck and fortune, as well as blessings from our past incarnations. He presides over love and marriage and is associated with pleasure, sensuality and sexuality, thus relationships are his domain- mainly the spark of new and budding relationships. Today, create, connect and share. Work consciously on relating and co-creating. How can your relationships provide a sense of nourishment and support? Which ones soothe and support? Which ones feel toxic? Pay attention to your senses and what arrives through your interactions. Venus moves into the latter half of Phalguni, Uttara, at 04:58 am CDT. Shift into a role of connection and sharing over the next 10 days. Create, express, share and connect. Create and co-create and let your relationships be part of your expansion. Let your love shine! Not feeling it? What relationships need to be pruned and removed from your life in order to create more space for the more nourishing and supportive ones? What shifts and changes need to take place within your existing relationships in order for more nourishment? Take charge of your comfort and what supports and nourishes you. This is an ideal time to be conscious of your self care needs. As we move into the beginning of Navaratri on Wednesday, now is an essential time to be intentional with our needs. Be sure to join my 10 day Self Care Challenge via FB. Tuesday, September 23rd Today’s Intention: Get your shine on! From the inside out. Today is Fall Equinox for the Northern Hemisphere. It is also Mahalaya Amavasya (Pitri Paksha), the sacred celebration of honoring the ancestors who have passed and are no longer with us. Be sure to commemorate your loved ones who have passed by lighting a candle and saying a prayer in their honor, as well as through gratitude for their many gifts to you. Moon moves to Uttaraphalguni at 04:32 am CDT, joining Venus and Sun in this nakshatra as well. We get three levels of support from Aryaman today. He is also one of the twelve Adityas like Bhaga who rules the front half of Phalguni. Like Bhaga, Aryaman gives resources, but does so through sustenance- mainly health of the body and physical stamina and strength as a result. Additionally, he also nourishes through relationships, but does so in the ways that last. Not through sensuality and sexuality, but through time, perseverance and pleasing the ancestors. As Bhaga relates to the past and past karmas, Aryaman relates to the future and what is to come; as a result he is mostly concerned with long term outcomes and situations. Moon moves to Virgo at 11:10 am CDT, joining Sun and Rahu here. These planets receive drishti from Ketu seven houses away. Be precise with your actions and relations today. Step carefully, but get noticed. Share, connect and create through relationships today. Shine brightly- inside out! Feeling shadowed or extra inward? Moon is in the 15th tithe (Moon phase) today. It’s a time to be self reflective and tend to your inner needs. Plant your seeds of desire and make your intentions known. As we move into the beginning of Navaratri tomorrow, now is an essential time to be intentional. Be sure to join my 10 day Self Care Challenge via FB. Venus is sandhi, at the edge of Leo right now. Be delicate with your relationships- both your relationship with others and with your self. Wednesday, September 24th Today’s Intention: Take an intentional pause and mark it with poignancy. Moon nears conjunction of the Sun as it becomes completely new in the wee hours of the morning. New Moon is at 01:14 am CDT in Uttaraphalguni nakshatra while Moon is in Virgo. The details of yesterday are pertinent for our coming waxing Moon cycle. The coming weeks are potent- and a poignant time for working with our long term sustainability. What steps do we need to take in order to insure sustainability and more lasting support and nourishment? What fruits are we hoping to harvest in the coming weeks and months? Our intentional action steps right now make or break the richness of our harvest. Aryaman is alive and well within us and around us- encouraging health, well being, as well as inner and outer sustenance- if we align with his offerings. Connect, co-create and use relationships intentionally in the coming weeks. Do your relationships nourish and inspire you? Or do they zap you and harm you? If you want potency and power, it will take potent and powerful actions to get different results. Sow the seeds you want right now and ask the ancestors for help with the process. Aryaman is aligned with the ancestors to insure that your lineage is well nourished and protected so make sure you ask for dharmic wisdom to help you on your journey, with choices and your action steps. Think in terms of aligning with long-term sustainability, not short term gratification. Aryaman will provide for you. Trust the process and ask for support. In addition to the New Moon, this marks the beginning of the Navaratri celebrations and the first day of three that honors Ma Durga. This is an especially potent and powerful time period, where we celebrate in the Vedic calendar, the holy trinity of goddesses: Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The veil is thin right now between realms, and is an especially powerful time for being inward, cleansing, nourishing and meditating. If you haven’t joined my 10 day Self Care Challenge, you can do so here. Moon moves to Hasta nakshatra at 06:59 am CDT, activating Savitr and his shining light into our day. You may awaken with sparks today and find some new purpose for your actions. Allow a glimpse of awakening to inspire you through intelligence, ideas, new awareness and gratitude. Flourish through wisdom and knowledge and take time for pausing, listening and invoking your inner light with the Gayatri Mantra today. Since the Moon is passing through the middle of Sun and Rahu today, a sense of shadow can creep in as well. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or overstimulated, be sure to use a 3 level check in for getting in touch with your felt senses. Use this inner harvesting process to get creative. Write, draw, express through your hands. Your Self Care Journal might just be the trick. Have you signed up for my 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Venus is sandhi, at the edge of Leo right now and hops into Virgo, its sign of debilitation at 21:14 CDT. During this 23 day transit, be delicate with your relationships- both your relationship with others and with your self. This transit re-iterates my new Moon details for the coming waxing cycle and our attention/intention to relationships of all kinds in our lives. What needs our focus in the coming weeks in regard to self care and putting our needs first? What details within your relationships needs extra TLC? How can you improve your inner nourishment and self care focus? What boundaries need to be re-established in order for your needs to get met? What re-structuring needs to take place within your relationships- personal and professional- in order for greater clarity and purpose? This is a time of getting present to your individual needs and what nourishes you. It is not a time to be using up your energy frivolously; though you may be noticing leaks more clearly at this time. Right now it’s all about the details. Let this be a resource for getting priorities and business in order. If it becomes unhelpful, then zoom out and get a bigger picture. Take a break or time out to re-center. This doesn’t have to be a time of discomfort and overwhelm; just get resource oriented. Need a reminder about self care? Be sure you follow along with my 10 day self care challenge and work intimately with your self care journal right now. Thursday, September 25th Today’s Intention: Step wisely and with purpose. Navaratri Day 2 and second day of the Durga celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Moon moves into Chitra nakshatra at 09:07 am CDT, joining Rahu here as well. Virgo is a full house right now with Moon, Sun, Rahu and Venus there now. Be aware that highs and lows may feel extreme- emotionally, mentally and physically. It is important to take care of health and wellness on all three levels of your being. Vishvakarma, the celestial architect, as well as Mars, play an important role in our experience today. He is a worker, the divine architect, and very product oriented. His extreme creativity, as well as action orientation (karma is a part of his name) reminds us to take potent action steps to align with our creative powers. What are you building in your life? For your life? Attend to your inner and outer needs today. As Moon passes over Rahu, don’t get lost in the mire of details and self critic. Instead, get action oriented. Take a step in the right direction today and focus on what is doable. Moon moves to Libra at 22:02 CDT, joining Mercury and exalted Saturn there. Need a reminder about self care? Friday, September 26th Today’s Intention: Adjust your sails with intention and harness the power of the wind. Navaratri Day 3 and final day of the Durga celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Moon transits Libra with Mercury, and exalted Saturn, then moves into Swati nakshatra at 10:51 CDT. Both Vayu and Rahu enliven and the winds- both inner and outer- bring shifts and changes with them. The mental and emotional bodies may be in overdrive. Feeling overstimulated, excessively anxious? Not only is attention to your prana important today for calming the inner winds, but also attending to the messages of the mental and emotional bodies. Separating these two will bring greater clarity to their different messages and likely bring more awareness to what you need. Be sure to sign up for my online 3 Levels of Awareness Immersion in order to learn how to incorporate this technique into your self care practices. Saturday, September 27th Today’s Intention: Balance creates harmony. Navaratri Day 4 and the first day of the three day Lakshmi celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Sun jumps into Hasta nakshatra at 00:37 am CDT, offering greater insight and wisdom to us in the coming days. Tend to this flicker of light, the inner flame. Nurture it, nourish it and honor it with gentleness. Attend to this small flame with intention and recite Gayatri Mantra in the coming days as a way to cultivate your inner light and spark magic. Attend to your sensitivity with gentleness and compassion. Moon moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 12:10 CDT, enlivening Jupiter and Indragni- the dual god who attends to our sense of nourishment through alliance. Yet another opportunity to give presence to what, and who, we are aligned with in our lives. Indra and Agni remind us that two are often better than one- as long as they work in harmony and are aligned properly. Feeling pulled in too many directions? Overwhelm settling in today? Balance is key. Clear off your plate and prioritize. What are the essentials? Where are your self care needs on this list? Put your self first and then let the other pieces fall in place more naturally. Make sure physical movement is incorporated into your day. Get embodied! Sunday, September 28th Today's Intention: Zoom in and zoom out. Harmonize polarities. Navaratri Day 5 and the second day of the Lakshmi celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Moon has crossed over Saturn now and moves to the edge of Libra, jumping into its debilitation sign, Scorpio, at 06:51 am CDT. At 13:01 CDT, Moon moves into Anuradha nakshatra and Mitra provides increased awareness of fine detail, friendship and connection, as well as travel and adventure. New Moon is Monday morning and then Moon begins its waxing cycle this week. Saturn and Mars are still in very tight conjunction, causing frustration with our stop and start energetics, confusion and agitation. These two opposing forces begin to separate later this week, helping us gain a new sense of balance.
Last chance to sign up for my Be Your Gift Workshop! Doors close for good Tuesday at midnight. Monday, August 25th Today's Intention: Empty, let go and release. Rest and relax. Find simple ways to self care. Ask the ancestors for guidance. New Moon today at 09:12 am CDT in Leo and Magha nakshatra. Moon is conjunct Sun (also in Magha) and Mercury, also in Leo. Magha nakshatra is ruled by Ketu, the southern lunar node responsible for restructuring and cutting attachments. The deity that presides over Magha is Pitr, who is connected to the ancestors, lineage and karma. There is authority here and sometimes ego and arrogance can arise if not checked with awareness. We are effected by seven generations before us, and we effect the seven generations to come. It is an important part of Magha, to be conscious and aware of these effects, how our ancestors and lineage play into our own life experience and what the fate of our lineage will be as a result of our own actions. Magha and Pitr are reminders to create powerful and effective karmas that leave lasting, positive results for generations to come. We may ask ourselves during Magha what our legacy is and what actions we need to take in order to create a strong legacy. This new Moon gets sparks of imagination and can fuel our desires for future actions. Let intention be a strong guiding force in the coming weeks and listen intently to your solar power, your gut instincts and your inner light. Get creative, get bold, and take strong action steps towards your desires. What are the big goals you are moving towards and what actions need to happen in order to make this happen? With Sun in its own Sign right now, we can all make some hay while the Sun shines and get some lasting results because of it. Get ambitious, think big and shine your light. Your efforts will pay off- especially if they please the ancestors. Read the New Moon Wisdom and what this new Moon offers us in the coming cycle as well as a new Moon Creative Ritual for the ancestors. Moon moves to Purvabhadrapada at 19:28 CDT, joining Mercury there. Spend the evening relaxing and enjoying simple pleasures. Tuesday, August 26th Today's Intention: Plant your seeds of desire and seek comfort in simple, satisfying actions. Connect and co-create with others. Moon transits Purvabhadrapada today, enlivening Bhaga and Venus. Moon joins Mercury in this nakshatra, so look for mental body activation as well. Bhaga is connected to enjoyment, pleasure, love and affection. His domain is sexuality and sensuality and that which sparks fun and play within our relationships. The symbol here is the back half of a bed- another association of pleasure, rest, leisure and comfort. Luck, fortune and destiny are part of Bhaga's offerings. The mind may be spinning its wheels. Desires, cravings and wants may intensify and feel overwhelming. Material pleasures and gains may feel daunting, unavailable or under nourishing. Keep the faith. Make plans. Take a symbolic action step towards your goals and desires. The Moon is still empty and dark. Plant your seeds now. Seek the support of a trusted friend for guidance and support. Self care to soothe your self with creativity. Have you done my Creative Ritual for the new Moon yet? Moon moves to Uttaraphalguni at 22:19 CDT. Last chance to sign up for my Be Your Gift Workshop! Doors close for good Tuesday at midnight. Wednesday, August 27th Today's Intention: Be sharp, one pointed and direct today. Goals are attainable if you aim and take targeted action. Moon moves to Virgo at 5:00 am CDT, joining Rahu there and receiving drishti from Ketu. Moon transits Uttaraphalguni, the latter half of the Phalguni stars ruled by Aryaman and the Sun. Aryaman is also one of the Adityas (as is Bhaga) who rules over support and sustenance on the material plane of existence. Unlike Bhaga, however, Aryaman rules lasting parts of our relationships- the parts that are time tested and long term. Prosperity is gifted from the ripening of time, not immediately. The Phalguni stars are associated with fertility, fruits, progeny, creativity, flowers and colors. Today enhances sharpness and quickness as well as sudden shifts and changes. Let sparks of imagination fly but be conscious of your shadows. Mind is poised and ready to fire. What is your target? Be very intentional with your actions. Thursday, August 28th Today's Intention: Spark something! Open windows wide and let your heart sing its truth. Tensions start to ease a bit as Saturn and Mars are now over two degrees apart. Mars is moving towards its own sign of Scorpio. Look for some resolutions, clarity and release now. Moon moves to Hasta nakshatra at 00:58 CDT, activating Savitr and its ruling planet, the Moon. Hasta invites in an ability to expand, learn and grow with wisdom, the light of knowledge and intuitive insight. Let Savitr help you invoke tools of wisdom and flourishing. Recite Gayatri Mantra to awaken magic and inspire the dawning of light within you. What new insights are enlivened for you today? Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥtát savitúr váreṇ(i)yaṃbhárgo devásya dhīmahidhíyo yó naḥ prachodáyāt Mercury becomes sandhi and moves to the edge of Leo. Friday, August 29th Today's Intention: Take effective action and use your creative skills. Build the life of your dreams by setting your visions into goals, your goals into actions. Prosperity comes with plans and actions. Moon moves to Chitra nakshatra at 03:19 am CDT, joining Rahu in this star. Just after Moon shifts into Chitra, Mercury jumps signs and moves into Virgo, its sign of exaltation, at 04:55 am CDT. This transit will either be expansive and worldly or wrought with confusion, mental exhaustion and shadowed intelligence. Stay out of the mental body mire and be diligent with your 3 level check ins and harvesting process. Artists, use the coming 3 weeks for creative brilliance. Business minds, expand your entrepreneurial focus and think big. This is a building phase that can leave lasting results that offer big rewards. Pay attention to opportunities, or make them your self. Right now, as Mercury moves into Virgo and adjusts, it will be sandhi through the weekend. Let the liminality of the mind provide room for dreams and visions to take root. Vishvakarma and Mars enliven and offer a sense of building, planning and plotting "next steps" and "best practices" for our efforts. Vishvakarma is the divine architect, the chief artist and architect of the gods. It is through Vishvakarma that we gain skill and then gain subsistence as a result of using our skills. The action is an important part, as is indicated in the word karma and the ruler, Mars, the chief of action. As Moon moves closer to Rahu, the tendency to be overwhelmed intensifies. Work backwards and be timely with your actions. Too many irons in the fire? Scattered and feeling ineffective? Prioritize. Circle the top five most important things on your to-do list and take action accordingly. Moon moves to Libra at 16:21 CDT, joining Mars and Saturn there. Today is Ganesha Chaturti, the celebrated birthday of the elephant god who is able to remove obstacles and offer wisdom, prosperity and good fortune to his devotees. Jai Ganesha!! Saturday, August 30th Today's Intention: Where am I detaching out of habit and where am I detaching out of necessity? How can I be more conscious of my inner and outer landscape even while in constant flux and change? Moon transits Libra with exalted Saturn and Mars, moving into Swati nakshatra at 05:16 am CDT. Thankfully Mars and Saturn are separating now and Mars inches towards the edge of Libra, toward Scorpio. With Mercury exalted in Virgo, we now have three planets exalted (Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury) and Sun in its own sign of Leo. It is another powerful and poignant moment in the cosmos. Make use of it with thoughtful actions! Swati nakshatra is ruled by Vayu, the wind god, and Rahu. Movement, change, shifts, strength and power are at our disposal today. As wind is not grounded, there is a sense of lack of attachment. This can translate within us as aloofness and an inability to express emotions. Be sure to do a 3 level check in and harvesting process today. Don't cut and paste over your felt senses. Harvest and explore your inner landscape. Get clear on what you need so that you can aim your actions accordingly. Venus moves to the edge of Cancer and becomes sandhi today. Soften and open to your creative needs, relationship needs and what your heart requests. Listen carefully. Sunday, August 31st Today's Intention: Nourish yourself well. Make an offering to the gods at your altar and ask for their blessings. Feed your self well today and let this be an offering to your god Self. Digest and transform the nutrients in your life. Moon moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 06:41 am CDT, joining exalted Saturn and Mars in this nakshatra. Indra and Agni are the dual rulers of this star as well as the planet Jupiter. Indragni, remind us that often two are better than one. This dual god also reminds us that hierarchy is necessary at times, and that co-creation is imperative for life and well being. Indragni sit at the portal opening (the altar or the mouth) and help the offerings we make to the gods transform into nourishment for the gods. When the gods are nourished, they grant us nourishment in return. This is a metaphor for self-nourishment and feeding ourselves well. Through Indragni, our food is digested and transformed into life giving power and sustenance. Moon conjuncts Saturn exactly around 12:30 CDT. Attending to the physical body is essential today. Use somatic intelligence to navigate your inner landscape. Later in the evening, Moon conjuncts Mars exactly around 20:30 CDT. Work with your emotions, anger and frustrations consciously. Use my Saturn and Mars MP3's for assistance. And don't neglect your 3 level check in and harvesting process. Venus moves into Leo at 16:26 CDT, joining Sun there in its own sign and jumping into Magha nakshatra. Look for clues in the coming ten days about your relationship needs and how to be in relationship effectively. Make changes, recalibrate, let go. Listen to the ancestors for clues and messages. Connect with others through the internet. Short interactions will be more supported at this time. Be prepared to cut and clear and also restructure who and how you connect to others. Be bold. Need support and some extra guidance for your Path? Schedule a coaching session with me. Like this post? Please share it! Want more creative resources? Sign up for my newsletter. Many people are feeling the escalating tension between Saturn and Mars in Libra at this time. Remember the dynamics of Saturn which are stop/slow and Mars which is action/go. These two opposing forces remind us to be very intentional with our actions/inactions. Because of their transit through Libra, the ultimate goal is balance; we may find this most important within our relationships.
With three planets in Cancer right now (exalted Jupiter, Sun and Mercury and Venus joining them this week), there is a strong emphasis on our heart, emotions and the dynamics of open/close and boundary work. This time period reminds us to be present to our emotional body, to consciously navigate its needs and to soften to the awareness that it can bring us for our life, relationships and overall well being. If you are really feeling the intensity, you will especially want to pay attention to your emotional work and let it inform your process. With Ketu's drishti on Cancer, the effects of our sudden awareness through the emotions can be startling, but essential- for our moksha and self development. No spiritual bypassing, no cutting and pasting over them, no negating your feelings and emotions. Be brave, go into the felt sense with courage and intention. Use my workshop mp3's for further guidance and harvesting. Moon is full this Sunday in Capricorn! Our emotional cups will be full to capacity and likely some challenges and hurdles in store as a result. We are all going feel a sense of "bigness" in so many ways this week! Using 3 level check ins and your creative work this week will be essential. Monday, August 4th Moon moves deeper into Libra, sandwiched in between Mars and Saturn, nearing conjunction with Saturn in the early parts of the morning. Moon is in exact degrees with Saturn at 05:28 am CDT while both are in Vishaka nakshatra. As Moon separates with Saturn (and also Mars), moving towards the edge of Libra, later in the day, questions and issues around stability and support continue to surface as themes. IndraAgni rules Vishaka. A dual god, this dynamic duo of Indra and Agni, embodies the necessary partnership between king (Indra) and Priest (Agni). They intimately rely on each other for support, nourishment and sustenance. Without the priest performing sacrifices at the portal to the gods (the altar), the king will lose his power and sustainability. This co-creative partnership is reiterated in the food that we eat (mouth being portal opening) and the necessary transformative powers that Agni uses to digest the food in order for our nourishment and life giving support. There are many examples of this type of increased power when we join a partnership. Right now, we may be questioning what these support systems are within our lives. Who and what feels supportive and helpful, nourishing and of value. What relationships provide sustenance and sustainability? What relationships do not? What sense of balance and recalibration needs to happen in order for life to be more easeful? What are the healthy and nourishing alliances in your life and which ones need to be let go for good? Finding ways to navigate the inner and outer landscape right now is the name of the game. Moon moves to Scorpio at 18:39 CDT, receiving drishti from Jupiter and Ketu. Tuesday, August 5th Moon transits its debilitation sign, Scorpio, moving into Anuradha nakshatra just after midnight CDT. Whenever Moon transits through Scorpio, we are reminded to pay close attention to our emotional body, our intuitive guidance, and the subtle messages within us. Scorpio Moon days are days that come with a sense of power due to vulnerability. These are days where we can extract nourishment in delicate and subtle ways, somatic and gentle ways, so listen and attune carefully. Want to know more about Scorpio Moon? Read my article here. Moon receives drishti from both Jupiter and Ketu today, offering some potent intuitive guidance and spiritual insights if we are paying attention. Anuradha nakshatra is ruled by Mitra and Saturn, both known for their impeccable detail and workmanship. Mitra is a friend, ally, companion; he brings support and sustenance as any good friend would do. He especially likes to connect, transform and renew. Today's reminder is: meet the right people, make the right connections and success will come. The general themes for this time period regarding relationships, partnerships and boundary work prevail today. Notice where the contractions and the critic surface as you interact with others. With who and what is there more opening, expansion and ease? Be aware of the opening and closings in your life- just as the lotus blossom opens in the day and closes naturally at night. Let the dance of yes and no resonate with your healthy boundary work. Where are you saying yes and where are you saying no in your life? What are the results? Mercury moves to Ashlesha nakshatra at 21:27 CDT. Sarpa, the serpent deity and an extra level of Mercury are enlivened in the next week. The mental body needs extra TLC right now as it may be running away with itself through deception, illusion and over-confidence. Remember that Mercury is nearing the Sun in Cancer and heating up the mind in general right now. Rigidity, extra sharpness, critic and extreme focus are heightened. Use the mind, but don't be used by the mind. Everything that passes through the Sun gets purified, so we can at least be assured that the mind is getting burned and transformed like a fire offering right now. Purify and be purified; tend to your mental burns. Wednesday, August 6th Moon moves to Jyestha nakshatra just after midnight CDT. The mental body enlivens today with the strength of Indra. Mind over matter or matter over mind? There could be a tussle between emotional body and mental body so work with both for clarity of your needs. Which one is running the show? Do a three level check in for greater insights. Indra is the storm god, particularly connected to rain, but also with dharma and powerful positions. The Upanishads refer to Indra as the life force, or prana. It is understood in the Ved that Indra is the ruler of our senses and sense organs. In other words, he is the king of our body and mind. Extra sensitivity can emerge on Indra days. Jyestha days remind us to take back control of our senses, rather than letting them rule us. More than control, perhaps a better word choice is awareness. Get a firm grasp on your senses through conscious awareness. Time for a 3 level check in and some harvesting? As the day ripens, Venus moves into sandhi at the edge of Gemini, poising itself for change, while Mercury nears close conjunction with the Sun. Watch your heart and mind for heat, fire and solar flares! The mind is hot and it can easily spill over into our relationships. Play nice, but be clear and firm with your boundaries, needs and expectations. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 22:45 CDT. Thursday, August 7th Venus moves to Cancer at 05:16 am CDT, joining exalted Jupiter, Sun and combust Mercury there. This will be a very interesting transit emotionally. There's heat in the heart/chest region, effecting our work with opening and closing, expand and contract. This will of course play out as a tussle between mental body and emotional body, effecting physical body. These dynamics will be effecting our relationship with self and others. The heat is on, tensions rise, and the drishti on these four planets from Saturn and Ketu intensives the activation, pressure and necessary restructuring occurring as a result of this transit. Whatever needs to shift in your relationships in order for greater ease, will likely be coming to a head until August 30th as Jupiter (deva) and Venus (asura) battle it out in our heart center (Cancer/4th house matters). Themes of the 4th house heighten at this time: including land matters, home, mother, emotions, heart/chest/lungs, vehicles and our relationship with these. Exercising healthy and appropriate boundaries is the other current theme. Whatever we are not yet getting on a mental/emotional level, will bring itself to the forefront of our awareness at this time. Be prepared to make adjustments and changes with your relationships in the coming weeks. Frustrations and tensions are likely due to lack of effective boundary work. Want to know more about the dynamics of open and close and our emotional body during this time of exalted Jupiter? Use my Jupiter/Ribcase mp3 for assistance. Moon transits Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra today. Enter Nirrti and Ketu for a power packed day. Don't be surprised if an extra layer of chaos enters through the side door as Nirrti usually stirs the pot in uncomfortable ways. That's her job after all. She uproots, dishevels, and distracts. She is married to Adharma (against dharma) and goes against the natural order of things, Natural Law. Don't let your prana get scattered and misused today. Have you ever noticed how in movies and on TV, the plot unfolds after a series of decisions- usually poor choices; but more importantly from a lack of healthy and appropriate boundaries?! It is exactly the same within our personal life story. If you want less drama, made for TV movies, and big screen issues in your life, you have to be very conscious of what you are saying yes to and what you are saying no to. Essentially action and inaction. It's actually a very simple formula. But the changes that your life will take on as a result of your yes and no's is not. This time period of Saturn/Mars conjunction as well as the conjunction of four planets in Cancer, is our crash course (literally) in this yes/no dynamic. What are you learning? Where do you need to say no still or yes perhaps? What are you allowing in and opening to? What are closing to and saying no to? Moon moves to PurvaAshada nakshatra at 20:44 CDT. Friday, August 8th Moon is reaching its fullness, waxing into the 13th tithi (Moon phase) today. The tides are high within us! Moon transits PurvaAshada nakshatra, ruled by Apas, the water goddess. Here we get a heightened connection to the emotions, the emotional body and our inner waters and tides. With Saturn's drishti on the Moon, we get a little extra squeeze and some added pressure. Like a piece of citrus being reamed and squeezed, juice extracted, and then poured. Extract your inner juices for cleansing and clearing of your inner waters today. Let the tides move through you and out of you. Apas helps to purify us, to rejuvenate and to keep us fluid, flowing and moving. Make sure that attention and intention with the emotional body is part of your day, as well as movement. Where can you invite in more flow and fluidity? The theme of purification continues. Working with my Moon/Emotional Body MP3 may be helpful for you. Find it here. Moon moves to UttarAshada at 18:10 CDT and the Vishvadevas shine their light upon us. As Sun rules this nakshatra, a bit of extra heat kicks in. Mercury and Sun are in exact degrees as this time and full on combustion of the mind/mental body is here. The themes mentioned over the past week intensify as we navigate our heart/emotions and all that this brings with it in regard to relationships and our felt sense of life. All of our heart/emotion work kicks up due to Mars and Saturn conjunct in Libra, the seat of relationships and our mirror work with "other". The purpose of all these big transits simultaneously, is a re-setting of the balance buttons in our lives. Let this be your intention as you navigate the choppy waters. Work with your three level check in and harvesting process. It's not too early to start your full Moon mandala work. Moon moves to Capricorn at 23:27 CDT. Saturday, August 9th Moon in Capricorn receives drishti from Mars. Mars is considered exalted in Capricorn so he brings his fire through his gaze and heats the Moon; once again our emotional body is activated. Catching the themes right now? Moon is also being glanced at directly, seven houses away, by the intense energy of Cancer and the four planets therein: Venus, Sun, exalted Jupiter and Mercury. Mercury and Sun are still in very close proximity so take this into consideration as you navigate mental/emotional bodies at this time. Additionally, we get drishti on the Moon from Rahu, adding a different type of intensity for our emotions. Shadows, fears, illusions and worldly desires give their presence and may cloud our discernment. Be aware that Rahu gives his two cents right now and don't act rashly. Rahu always brings extremes with him so temper it if possible. Moon is in the 14th tithi and almost at maximum capacity. Our emotional cups are almost full. Are you feeling this expansion and overflow? As Moon transits through UttarAshada today, the Vishva Devas, or all gods, remind us of the basic Laws of Nature. These include: goodness, truth, determination, talent, time, enjoyment, grimness, ancestors, abundance, joy, as well as pleasantness, sight, fame and leadership. These are the places that are asking us to find more balance and harmony in our life. Where are you needing to put more attention/intention in these areas? Where might you need to put less? Re-shuffle your deck for a new kind of winning hand. Moon moves to Sravana nakshatra at 15:14 CDT and Vishnu steps into our day as well as an extra level of Moon energy. Our feat at this time is to start listening. Listen carefully and listen well. Be the observer. Be the witness. Moon moves to its final tithi (Moon phase) at 17:06 CDT and is in its final phase of fullness now (Purnima). Tonight is the night to celebrate your full Moon and create your full Moon mandala. Ritualize your emotional cup being full. Need some help with this? Use my past Moon Mandala Creative Rituals. Sunday, August 10th Full Moon Day! Moon in Capricorn moves to Dhanishta nakshatra at 12:08 CDT. Gaze from Rahu, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, Sun and Venus in full effect! Moon is at its fullest at 13:08 CDT in Dhanishta nakshatra. Dhanishta is ruled by Vasu, the one who shines, is bright and illuminated. Full Moon in Dhanishta nakshatra brings a very full cup to us. Life may be feeling "full to capacity". Is your cup running over in a positive and powerful way? Or a burdensome and heavy way? If you are feeling the burdens of this extremely energized time, it's time to take some steps inward, harvest what is ripe within you, and use it for a change in course or direction. Use my Moon/Emotional Body workshop MP3's to help you navigate your individual harvesting process. The Vasu Devas are sources of light (jyoti) and bring illumination to us. They offer us a source and a sense of our own power, wealth and prosperity. The eight Vasu Devas are the eight cosmic elements expressed and manifested on the material plane of existence. (Moon, Sun, Water, Earth, Air, Fire, Space and the light of the stars). We are indeed cosmic, stardust and swirling light. What are you shining your light upon? What lights are shining on you? What shiny, sparkly objects are catching your attention? Put on your sun glasses and get ready for the blaze. In the coming waning Moon cycle, we can expect this fullness, the overwhelm, the heightened sense of extremes, to come to a climax, before it begins to dissipate. It is a time of maximum exposure. Exposure of our "stuff" and letting the inner come out, and the outer come in. It's a time of major restructuring and deconstruction. Change, shifts, movement. Old patterns change, new ones start. The lessons we are learning at this junction are the life changing, earth changing kind. Ketu and Jupiter are working their magic on all of us in very timely, unexpected ways. The guru is sharing some very big morsels of awakening right now. Do not discount the power of this time, the changes you are going through, and the intentional actions required as a result. Be powerful and potent in your choices. Be firm and grounded in what you need- what truly nourishes you, supports you and offers you comfort. This is what each of us is moving towards in our lives- whether it's obvious or not. Let your cup runeth over and surf the emotional tides that are rising. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a Moon Mind post. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. |
