8.2 to 8.4
Moon moves to Gemini at 11:21 CDT on 8.2 and joins Jupiter, Mars and Mercury there. Moon transits Mrgashira, Ardra and Punarvasu nakshatras over the next few days. Moon is in Ardra nakshatra (ruled by Rahu) on 8.3 until the early hours of 8.4. Mars moves to Punarvasu nakshatra at 8:00 CDT on 8.3 which should soften the experience of four planets in Gemini- two of which will be in Ardra, ruled by the storm god Rudra. Movement, change, strong emotions are likely at this time. But look for the silver lining. The underlying positivity and wholeness will be tangible with the influence of Aditi ruling over Mercury and Mars. Note that these four planets receive drishti from Rahu sitting in Libra currently and transiting through Swati nakshtara (Vayu, the wind god). This exemplifies the sudden change, movement, element of surprise, the foreign and unusual as well as the storm energy. Don’t take unnecessary risks and avoid foolish behaviors. As per my last post: Sattva will be tainted by the shadow of Rahu. Don’t fall too far off the wagon. Mercury is sandhi now and moves to Cancer on 8.4 at 10:51 CDT joining Sun there.They receive drishti from Saturn sitting in Libra who is transiting Swati nakshatra. An element of sadness and disappointment may set in and perhaps an overactive mind. Moon joins them in its own sign of Cancer on 8.5 until mid day on 8.7 and may help soften the blow of this combination initially. Stay out of the land mines of the mind if possible and don’t let the mind get too hot.

Moon Mind ::: July 8th/9th
Moon moves from Gemini (where it was with Jupiter, Sun, Mercury and Mars) and into Cancer (its own sign). Moon transits Punarvasu nakshatra, ruled by Aditi (and the planet Jupiter), who is the universal mother of all goodness. (Mercury and Sun are currently in Punarvasu as well). Aditi brings assistance, abundance, and expansion of consciousness. Moon moves to Pushya nakshatra in the early hours on the 9th. Aditi gave birth to the 33 Devas which include 12 Adityas, 11 Rudras, 8 Vasus, Indra and Prajapati. These Devas are all pervasive expressions of the universe and thus Aditi is the foundation of the universe. She brings truth (satya), simple wisdoms of life and helps us to realize the sameness (sama) in this life experience. Aditi translates as non-difference; she can bring us an experience of unity consciousness. Pushya is ruled by both Brihaspati (Jupiter as a deity) and the planet Saturn. This nakshatra brings nourishment, as the symbol is a cow udder. Taking the awareness of Punavarvasu and Aditi, one is ready for the knowing and awareness that Pushya and Brihaspati offer. As of the 8th, the new moon occurred at 2:15 CDT this morning and has now moved into the bright half (waxing phase) and is in tithi 1- Amavasya, ruled by the planet Rahu. Moon (as well as the aforementioned planets in Gemini) are receiving drishti from Rahu right now. Jupiter, planetary ruler of Punarvasu, is receiving drishti from Rahu and is currently in Ardra nakshatra- ruled by Rahu. Thus an exchange of energies occurs here between Rahu and Jupiter. Worldly expansion is a possibility. Don’t get carried away.....As moon moves into the 2nd tithi, Dvitiya (ruled by Moon), expect a new awareness of smoothness to become present. A shift from yesterday. Saturn has now finally gone direct after many months of retrograde motion. Saturn sits with Rahu in Libra, both now in Swati nakshatra- ruled by Vayu (wind god/movement) and Rahu as well. The Rahu influences are thus strong right now. Mercury is still retrograde. We can expect structures and stability to start moving in a more supportive and helpful direction, however mentally, there will likely still be confusion and “clean-up” occurring. Find your surrender button. There can be friction and tensions with the inevitable changes, currents and shifts brought about by the expansive Jupiter and the movement of Vayu. Some of this will be on a grande scale. Some may be offered worldly support and assistance. For others, the experience of tempestuous storms will be enhanced. The temptations are strong right now for rajasic behaviors, the foreign and unusual, and general extremes- especially on the mental, emotional levels. Meditation may prove impossible as well as being on a good routine. Do the best you can. Perhaps find liberation in the opposition. We can use this time for “de-centering”, which will later help us return to our “balance” with greater understanding and clarity. Bon chance!! Moon Mind ::: Moon Mindfulness
Tues, 07.02.13 Moon in Aries and transiting Bharani nakshatra. Moon crosses over Ketu at 20:05 CDT {expect a sudden shift involving relationships, women, mental attitude, wealth, comforts and matters of heart and emotions}. Bharani is ruled by Venus and Yama- lord of death and transformation. Bharani is extremely sensitive, perceptive, and relies on self control and restraint for success. Bharani is a fierce nakshatra- one that is connected to destruction, killing, fierce action and the like. There are inevitable endings today and it will require your deep surrender into the unknown. Let the death be a graceful one. Mars is sandhi, moving towards Gemini. Mercury and Saturn are retrograde. Anger around communication issues might be an understatement. Keep your cool or explode if necessary. Move the body and be somatically receptive for best results. Embodiment is always best practice. Om Shanti. Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
6.1/6.2 Moon is in Aquarius until later today when it moves into Pisces. Moon transits Purvabhadrapada unitll 20:40 CDT today when it then moves to Uttarabhadrapada. Purvabhadrapada is ruled by Ajaikapada. Aja means goat and he brings knowledge, he is also a Rudra (storm, movement, breath, wind). Ajaikapada the "he goat standing on one leg" is a reference to Lord Shiva- Nataraja- Lord of the dance, and speaks to "having a foot in two worlds" as well as "balancing opposites." Uttarabhadrapada is ruled by Ahirbudhnya, "the serpent of the deep" and the hidden serpent energy within us- such as kundalini. There is an ability to penetrate the depths of knowledge, the unseen realms as well as knowledge of the unconscious awareness. Ahirbudhnya is also a Rudra who removes misfortune and calamities and can bring nourishment. Both nakshatras are sons of Vishvakarma- the celestial architect. The symbol for the bhadrapada's are a burning funeral cot- endings. These nakshatras sit opposite in the sky from the phalguni's (creation/fertility nakshatras) and express the "other realms", the purification and death necessary to understand beyond this material plane of existence. Mercury (in its own sign of Gemini with Venus and Jupiter now) has moved to Ardra nakshatra, ruled by Rudra, the storm god who brings movement, change and destruction. Rudra is ruled by Rahu and Mercury is getting drishti from Rahu in Libra (sitting with a debilitated Saturn). This can go several ways: a clouded, vulnerable, depressed mind requiring shadow work with the mental body/mental realms, and/or movement, change, worldly achievement through commerce, communication, mental abilities. Either way, this requires careful navigation and a certain surrender as Rudra energy is unpredictable. Mercury and Gemini take center stage as Jupiter is now transiting Gemini for the next 12 months. 5.29 Moon in Capricorn transiting Sravana nakshatra until 21:47 CDT this evening. Sravana is ruled by Vishnu (and the moon), the all-pervasive Lord that is connected to akasha (space). It is through akasha that dharma is transmitted as well as all knowledge and wisdom- which creates harmony. Vishnu is a part of to the masculine holy trinity of Shiva (destroyer), Brahma (creator) and Vishnu (the maintainer). Vishnu also "conquered the worlds in three steps": earth, sky and heaven. Thus triples are connected to Sravana as well as expansiveness, open-mindedness and expansion of consciousness. Venus and Mercury are now in Gemini (Mercury's own sign) while Jupiter transits the gap in weak degrees- preparing for his transit to Gemini tomorrow. All three planets are in Mrgashiras nakshatra, ruled by the deity Soma/Moon. Venus and Mercury get drishti from Rahu. There is a lot of Moon energy enlivened today as well as the influence of Saturn. We may feel this sensitivity in body, mind and spirit (another expression of Vishnu's three realms) or even some depression as a result. Stay in the body and get some fresh air. The planet of knowledge and expansion (Jupiter) is in the netherworlds right now. Use this time for spiritual growth- meditation etc. |
