Moon is waning and empties this week. New Moon is on Wednesday early morning at 01:14 am CDT signifying the beginning of the fall Navaratri celebrations. This nine day festival honors the holy goddess trinity of Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The festivities culminate on the 10th day (Vijayadashami) which honors Durga's defeat of the demon Mahishasura. The sacredness of this time period is explained more in my Navaratri article. You’re invited to participate in my 10 day Self Care Challenge as a way to honor this important passage into fall and winter. Join the FB Group here.
Monday, September 22nd Today’s Intention: Find nourishment in relating and co-creating. Moon transits Leo and moves into Purvaphalguni nakshatra at 01:47 am CDT. This enlivens Venus and Bhaga, the deity of love, relationship and creativity. Bhaga is an Aditya, one of the twelve gods who provide us with resources for this life experience. He dispenses wealth and happiness, luck and fortune, as well as blessings from our past incarnations. He presides over love and marriage and is associated with pleasure, sensuality and sexuality, thus relationships are his domain- mainly the spark of new and budding relationships. Today, create, connect and share. Work consciously on relating and co-creating. How can your relationships provide a sense of nourishment and support? Which ones soothe and support? Which ones feel toxic? Pay attention to your senses and what arrives through your interactions. Venus moves into the latter half of Phalguni, Uttara, at 04:58 am CDT. Shift into a role of connection and sharing over the next 10 days. Create, express, share and connect. Create and co-create and let your relationships be part of your expansion. Let your love shine! Not feeling it? What relationships need to be pruned and removed from your life in order to create more space for the more nourishing and supportive ones? What shifts and changes need to take place within your existing relationships in order for more nourishment? Take charge of your comfort and what supports and nourishes you. This is an ideal time to be conscious of your self care needs. As we move into the beginning of Navaratri on Wednesday, now is an essential time to be intentional with our needs. Be sure to join my 10 day Self Care Challenge via FB. Tuesday, September 23rd Today’s Intention: Get your shine on! From the inside out. Today is Fall Equinox for the Northern Hemisphere. It is also Mahalaya Amavasya (Pitri Paksha), the sacred celebration of honoring the ancestors who have passed and are no longer with us. Be sure to commemorate your loved ones who have passed by lighting a candle and saying a prayer in their honor, as well as through gratitude for their many gifts to you. Moon moves to Uttaraphalguni at 04:32 am CDT, joining Venus and Sun in this nakshatra as well. We get three levels of support from Aryaman today. He is also one of the twelve Adityas like Bhaga who rules the front half of Phalguni. Like Bhaga, Aryaman gives resources, but does so through sustenance- mainly health of the body and physical stamina and strength as a result. Additionally, he also nourishes through relationships, but does so in the ways that last. Not through sensuality and sexuality, but through time, perseverance and pleasing the ancestors. As Bhaga relates to the past and past karmas, Aryaman relates to the future and what is to come; as a result he is mostly concerned with long term outcomes and situations. Moon moves to Virgo at 11:10 am CDT, joining Sun and Rahu here. These planets receive drishti from Ketu seven houses away. Be precise with your actions and relations today. Step carefully, but get noticed. Share, connect and create through relationships today. Shine brightly- inside out! Feeling shadowed or extra inward? Moon is in the 15th tithe (Moon phase) today. It’s a time to be self reflective and tend to your inner needs. Plant your seeds of desire and make your intentions known. As we move into the beginning of Navaratri tomorrow, now is an essential time to be intentional. Be sure to join my 10 day Self Care Challenge via FB. Venus is sandhi, at the edge of Leo right now. Be delicate with your relationships- both your relationship with others and with your self. Wednesday, September 24th Today’s Intention: Take an intentional pause and mark it with poignancy. Moon nears conjunction of the Sun as it becomes completely new in the wee hours of the morning. New Moon is at 01:14 am CDT in Uttaraphalguni nakshatra while Moon is in Virgo. The details of yesterday are pertinent for our coming waxing Moon cycle. The coming weeks are potent- and a poignant time for working with our long term sustainability. What steps do we need to take in order to insure sustainability and more lasting support and nourishment? What fruits are we hoping to harvest in the coming weeks and months? Our intentional action steps right now make or break the richness of our harvest. Aryaman is alive and well within us and around us- encouraging health, well being, as well as inner and outer sustenance- if we align with his offerings. Connect, co-create and use relationships intentionally in the coming weeks. Do your relationships nourish and inspire you? Or do they zap you and harm you? If you want potency and power, it will take potent and powerful actions to get different results. Sow the seeds you want right now and ask the ancestors for help with the process. Aryaman is aligned with the ancestors to insure that your lineage is well nourished and protected so make sure you ask for dharmic wisdom to help you on your journey, with choices and your action steps. Think in terms of aligning with long-term sustainability, not short term gratification. Aryaman will provide for you. Trust the process and ask for support. In addition to the New Moon, this marks the beginning of the Navaratri celebrations and the first day of three that honors Ma Durga. This is an especially potent and powerful time period, where we celebrate in the Vedic calendar, the holy trinity of goddesses: Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The veil is thin right now between realms, and is an especially powerful time for being inward, cleansing, nourishing and meditating. If you haven’t joined my 10 day Self Care Challenge, you can do so here. Moon moves to Hasta nakshatra at 06:59 am CDT, activating Savitr and his shining light into our day. You may awaken with sparks today and find some new purpose for your actions. Allow a glimpse of awakening to inspire you through intelligence, ideas, new awareness and gratitude. Flourish through wisdom and knowledge and take time for pausing, listening and invoking your inner light with the Gayatri Mantra today. Since the Moon is passing through the middle of Sun and Rahu today, a sense of shadow can creep in as well. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or overstimulated, be sure to use a 3 level check in for getting in touch with your felt senses. Use this inner harvesting process to get creative. Write, draw, express through your hands. Your Self Care Journal might just be the trick. Have you signed up for my 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Venus is sandhi, at the edge of Leo right now and hops into Virgo, its sign of debilitation at 21:14 CDT. During this 23 day transit, be delicate with your relationships- both your relationship with others and with your self. This transit re-iterates my new Moon details for the coming waxing cycle and our attention/intention to relationships of all kinds in our lives. What needs our focus in the coming weeks in regard to self care and putting our needs first? What details within your relationships needs extra TLC? How can you improve your inner nourishment and self care focus? What boundaries need to be re-established in order for your needs to get met? What re-structuring needs to take place within your relationships- personal and professional- in order for greater clarity and purpose? This is a time of getting present to your individual needs and what nourishes you. It is not a time to be using up your energy frivolously; though you may be noticing leaks more clearly at this time. Right now it’s all about the details. Let this be a resource for getting priorities and business in order. If it becomes unhelpful, then zoom out and get a bigger picture. Take a break or time out to re-center. This doesn’t have to be a time of discomfort and overwhelm; just get resource oriented. Need a reminder about self care? Be sure you follow along with my 10 day self care challenge and work intimately with your self care journal right now. Thursday, September 25th Today’s Intention: Step wisely and with purpose. Navaratri Day 2 and second day of the Durga celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Moon moves into Chitra nakshatra at 09:07 am CDT, joining Rahu here as well. Virgo is a full house right now with Moon, Sun, Rahu and Venus there now. Be aware that highs and lows may feel extreme- emotionally, mentally and physically. It is important to take care of health and wellness on all three levels of your being. Vishvakarma, the celestial architect, as well as Mars, play an important role in our experience today. He is a worker, the divine architect, and very product oriented. His extreme creativity, as well as action orientation (karma is a part of his name) reminds us to take potent action steps to align with our creative powers. What are you building in your life? For your life? Attend to your inner and outer needs today. As Moon passes over Rahu, don’t get lost in the mire of details and self critic. Instead, get action oriented. Take a step in the right direction today and focus on what is doable. Moon moves to Libra at 22:02 CDT, joining Mercury and exalted Saturn there. Need a reminder about self care? Be sure you follow along with my 10 day self care challenge and work intimately with your self care journal right now. Friday, September 26th Today’s Intention: Adjust your sails with intention and harness the power of the wind. Navaratri Day 3 and final day of the Durga celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Moon transits Libra with Mercury, and exalted Saturn, then moves into Swati nakshatra at 10:51 CDT. Both Vayu and Rahu enliven and the winds- both inner and outer- bring shifts and changes with them. The mental and emotional bodies may be in overdrive. Feeling overstimulated, excessively anxious? Not only is attention to your prana important today for calming the inner winds, but also attending to the messages of the mental and emotional bodies. Separating these two will bring greater clarity to their different messages and likely bring more awareness to what you need. Be sure to sign up for my online 3 Levels of Awareness Immersion in order to learn how to incorporate this technique into your self care practices. Saturday, September 27th Today’s Intention: Balance creates harmony. Navaratri Day 4 and the first day of the three day Lakshmi celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Sun jumps into Hasta nakshatra at 00:37 am CDT, offering greater insight and wisdom to us in the coming days. Tend to this flicker of light, the inner flame. Nurture it, nourish it and honor it with gentleness. Attend to this small flame with intention and recite Gayatri Mantra in the coming days as a way to cultivate your inner light and spark magic. Attend to your sensitivity with gentleness and compassion. Moon moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 12:10 CDT, enlivening Jupiter and Indragni- the dual god who attends to our sense of nourishment through alliance. Yet another opportunity to give presence to what, and who, we are aligned with in our lives. Indra and Agni remind us that two are often better than one- as long as they work in harmony and are aligned properly. Feeling pulled in too many directions? Overwhelm settling in today? Balance is key. Clear off your plate and prioritize. What are the essentials? Where are your self care needs on this list? Put your self first and then let the other pieces fall in place more naturally. Make sure physical movement is incorporated into your day. Get embodied! Sunday, September 28th Today's Intention: Zoom in and zoom out. Harmonize polarities. Navaratri Day 5 and the second day of the Lakshmi celebrations. Have you joined my Navaratri 10 Day Self Care Challenge yet? Moon has crossed over Saturn now and moves to the edge of Libra, jumping into its debilitation sign, Scorpio, at 06:51 am CDT. Moon joins Mars in Scorpio and our internal waters get charged. Expect an extra layer of sensitivity today and emotional body awareness. At 13:01 CDT, Moon moves into Anuradha nakshatra and Mitra provides increased awareness of fine detail, friendship and connection, as well as travel and adventure. If life wasn't so stressful and if we weren't so disconnected from Nature and her rhythms, what would our bodies tell us?
Is there an ideal time for women to bleed each month that coincides with the Moon cycles and the earth's rhythms? The Moon is such a primary force in our lives- connected to emotions, our inner tides, the feminine, creativity and change. She brings her constant dance into our lives, changing our moods and feelings with her waxes and wanes. She changes nakshatras about once every day and changes signs roughly every 2.5 days. We feel her many changes within us, moving through us, moving us, constantly. As Jupiter moves into Cancer on June 18th, 2014, our work with the emotions and the Moon increases and expands for the coming twelve months. (Moon rules the sign of Cancer). Read more about this remarkable Jupiter transit. Women, the divine beings that we are, get to experience the Moon's flow in a very physical way through out her cycles. When we ovulate, creative potential is ripe. When we bleed, we are letting go of and cleansing the previous cycle. In this way, we wax and wane with her, inviting in and letting go with each of her tidal shifts. Ayurvedically speaking, it is ideal to bleed with the full Moon. This is what my dear and trusted ayurvedic doctor, Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra of the Shaka Vansya tradition, says: "The ayurvedic shastra-s, ancient medical texts, explain that the expected time for the menstrual cycle is during the full moon. During the full moon, women have access to the flow of uninterrupted soma. However, due to stress, hectic lifestyle, imbalanced diet, and many other factors, many women will tend to have their cycle erratically, not with or around the full moon. Most have their cycle during the new moon. This is an indication that there are imbalances that need to be addressed. It is a sign to pay more attention to restoring the natural cycles of her body, and to support it, so that she can get back on track and have her flow with the full moon." Not surprisingly, this corroborates with what Jyotish says about Suklanta, which is starting our "new Moon" cycle with the full Moon. Similar to exalted planets in that they are "full" and can't be "added to", a full Moon (or Purnima) means that it is full to capacity, there's no more room for it to expand and grow; it is complete. In this way, we can interpret the full Moon as a "new Moon" in that it marks the beginning of a new cycle of emptying itself and refilling itself. Beginning a lunar month at the Purnima is called Suklanta and differs from starting the count from the new Moon (Amavasya) which is the point when the Moon is empty and is waiting to be filled by the Sun. Purnima is in the middle of the Lakshmi phase of the Moon cycle, whereas Amavasya is the moment during the cycle where Kali and Durga meet. Clearly, the energy is quite different for each of these. These different methods of starting the lunar calendar remind me of the saying "is your glass half empty or half full?!" When do we start our "new Moon" calendar and begin our new lunar month? When we are full and satisfied or when we are empty and needing to be nourished? If we think of our menstrual cycle as a signal from the body, and our connection to the lunar messages, then this way of counting with the Moon makes sense. The full Moon is the ripest phase of the transit and the menstrual cycle is the body's signal that we are full and filled to capacity; our cup runneth over. Literally. Ovulation, however, is considered a time of potential. Eggs are being released for possible fertilization, which is a signal that the body is ripe and ready for that special spark of creativity. This is a time of possibility, momentum, action and desire. This "potential" aligns with the new Moon, or amavasya; a time when our cups are empty and waiting to be filled. When we listen to our body's messages (really listen) then we get answers. Here are some questions for your harvesting process during both the waxing cycle (Shukla Paksha) leading up to the full Moon (Purnima), as well as the for the waning cycle (Krishna Paksha) leading into the new Moon (Amavasya). Harvesting for the new Moon (Amavasya): What am I ripe and ready for? What are my desires for the next two weeks? What action steps can I take for greater fruits and a richer harvest? What potential awaits me? What strength am I arriving at? What actions were left undone in the last cycle that I need to revisit? How do I want to move forward? Where do I want to channel my creativity and how? What support do I need with my efforts? What am I stepping towards? Harvesting for the full Moon (Purnima): Where am I full? Where am I willing to let go and release? Where can I surrender and allow my self to flow more? Where have I been pushing too hard? Where can I allow more ease? What needs are not being met? What parts of my life do I need more support with? Can I ask for what I need? What am I not expressing? What am I depressed/frustrated/angry/sad about from this last cycle? What feels disappointing? What would I like to see shift in the next cycle? These harvesting questions are especially helpful with embodiment work that bridges movement + art and harnesses the creativity within us. Please explore my workshop offerings and podcasts for details. I also love working with mandalas for both new and full Moon. Mandalas and the Moon are symbolically and metaphorically unified. This shape can offer us much awareness and creative potential. Get ideas for mandala creation from my waxing and waning Creative Rituals. Need more connection with the Moon? First day of Vasant Navaratri, and first day dedicated to Ma Durga. Moon is waxing and transits from Pisces into Aries, joining Ketu there as it enters Ashwini nakshatra. Heal, rejuvenate, purge. 4.01 Day two of Navaratri and second day of celebrations dedicated to Durga. Moon moves past Ketu and into to Bharani nakshatra. Ruled by Venus and Yama, lord of death and restraint, this is a particularly delicate and challenging lunar constellation. The experience for the Moon is one of pressure and exhaustion. Though you may be pulled in multiple directions today, the needs of the Moon are to soften, to turn in, and to flow with life more harmoniously. Turn rigidity into smoothness if possible. 4.02 Moon moves to Krittika on the 3rd day of Navaratri and the 3rd and final day dedicated to Durga. Moon becomes exalted as it moves into Taurus at 19:42 CDT. The day brings cutting, letting go and finalizing details connected to necessary purification. There are some tensions today for expansion. We want bigger, faster, more right now, which is creating heat and agitation. Slow down and put it into first gear. Only do what's necessary and find time for creativity and soothing the emotions. 4.03 First day of Lakshmi and Moon moves to Rohini at 14:24 CDT. Expect quick changes, fast maneuvers and creative impulses later in the day. Brahma and Moon rule this nakshatra and offer creativity and the spark of creation, beauty and passion. Passions are high and intense, cravings intensify and desire is strong. Put this creative momentum into action. Find a way to channel it properly, in order to maximize it. Mercury moves to Pisces on the 3rd at 20:48 CDT, which is its sign of debilitation. He joins Sun here and gets direct drishti from retrograde Mars. This transit, though relatively short in duration (a little over two weeks) may bring a feeling of being pulled in too many directions. Read more about this transit. 4.04 Second day of Lakshmi in the Navaratri festivities. Moon moves to Mrigashirsha nakshatra at 15:56 CDT and creativity gets more of a laser focus (or moves to overwhelm depending on your ability to take effective action). The mind heats up. Does it evaporate as Mercury joins the Sun in Pisces? Or do you get super clear on what best practice is for your mental focus? Regardless, look for softness- intuition can be accessed in unique ways right now. Mental sensitivity can be a gift at this time. Slow down to get the messages. 4.05 Moon moves to Gemini at 4:56 CDT on the third day of Lakshmi's celebrations. Moon joins Jupiter here and receives drishti from Rahu, then moves into Ardra nakshatra at 18:04 CDT, Rudras nakshatra. Look for movement, change and sudden shifts later in the day. Harsh emotions may be felt or experienced. Watch for sudden explosions, stormy weather, and possible sadness or grief emerging from your depths. Dance in the rain. 4.06 This is the first day dedicated to goddess Saraswati in the Navaratri celebration. Moon moves to Punarvasu nakshatra late evening at 20:39 CDT. The storms of Ardra rule the majority of the day, but as Aditi takes over in the late evening, understanding and more harmony sets in. Moon has crossed Jupiter by this point. The exchange between Mercury and Jupiter (Mercury rules Gemini and Jupiter rules Pisces where Mercury is transiting) gives a mental perspective that helps expand, teach and provide support which can be used to your advantage. Look for the light. With Navaratri starting this new waxing Moon phase, it's appropriate to cultivate our relationship with the warrior goddess Self. Navaratri begins with three days dedicated to Durga- a fierce and powerful goddess known for winning countless battles against evil forces. Lakshmi and Saraswati have their own strengths and powers, overcoming difficulties in multi faceted ways.
The warrior god/goddess Self is within each of us, though we may not have noticed. This hard and soft being within often doesn't get a chance to fully express itself. The warrior Self is always complex, arrives when needed, hides if necessary, and can remain voiceless, expressionless, unless tended to, acknowledged and nurtured. Part 1: Come to your drawing pad. Choose a medium that strikes you. Is it paint, craypas, pen and pencil, or maybe even collage or clay instead? Use the harvesting questions to prompt your inner inquiry as you arrive at bringing your warrior out from your hidden depths. Let the colors, textures, shapes and images speak to the feelings of this warrior goddess. Take 30 minutes for this piece. Harvesting Questions: What does my warrior have to say? Is he/she/it connected to certain body part(s)? What parts are the most fierce, most alive? What colors does your warrior embody? What does its soft side say? Does it have a flowing side? Nurturing side? Brave side? Vulnerable side? How do the change in seasons effect this warrior? What does your warrior ask of you? What does it need? Circle ten words that strike you most from your writing. Part 2: Look at your image. Pick one element of your art piece- a color, texture, shape, etc. Stand while closing your eyes and envision this element- then begin to move your body. Move this element of your drawing; bring it alive in your body. Move with the shape, color, texture etc. Where is it expressed in your body? How is your body reacting? What sensations, feelings, emotions come up? Your warrior has many sides to it. You are letting one of these come through you. If any of your words come to mind from your writing, say them aloud. Speak, move, embody this part of your Self; cultivate your relationship with this internal energy. Let this last 5 to 10 minutes. Come to stillness. Ask your image one more time if it has anything to tell you. Listen carefully. I have made a shift to my content. My planetary transit reports + horoscopes will now be written bimonthly, with the waxing and waning cycles of the Moon in mind. These cycles are both relevant and poignant for our internal/external experiences, and I feel they more accurately represent my work, the connection I have with the Moon, and the way I can serve you in a meaningful way. Creative Engagement Activities will also be posted twice monthly with these Moon cycles in mind. Additionally, I will now be posting a Seven Day Moon Mind Calendar at the top of each week, which will help you maximize the expression of each day, the knowledge of the nakshatras, and will serve as a fine tuning portion of my other offerings. I welcome your feedback and hope to hear how this new cycle of offerings works for you. Namaste~
Moon is now waxing (Shukla Paksha) and transits Pisces to Libra during the next two weeks. Moon is exalted and in its mulatrikona sign of Taurus from 4.02 to 4.04. In its own sign of Cancer from the 7th to the 9th. And enters Libra on the 15th, joining Rahu and Saturn, priming us for a full Lunar eclipse shortly there after. Get my daily Moon Mind calendar for each week via my blog and FaceBook. Vasant Navaratri begins on the 31st and continues for nine days and nights, ending on the 8th. The first three days are dedicated to Durga, The second third is for honoring Lakshmi, and the final three days for Saraswati. Moon will be transiting Aries for the majority of Durga's days- offering cutting, clearing and healing. Moon transits Taurus and then into Gemini during Lakshmi's days, creating a greater sense of creativity, as well as inner and outer expansion. For the final three days of Navaratri, dedicated to goddess Saraswati, Moon will be transiting Gemini and into Cancer, offering comfort, support and a sense of wholeness. Use this time to self track; note your experiences- both inner and outer. This is a sacred time with no coincidences, so pay attention. Read more about Vasant Navaratri and how to connect with the goddesses. Venus moves to Aquarius on 3.30 at 23:11 CDT, joining Mercury there for a few short days. In Aquarius, he receives drishti from both Rahu and Jupiter from this position. At the top of the week, he is still young in degrees, so still delicate and in transition. The next month will offer some rise, some raises, but only through seemingly impossible feats. Pieces that you are holding firmly to, will need to be let go of and burned, purified and released, in order for advancement. The tethers that are binding you and the intense dance you've been doing to "make it all happen" need to shift and change for greater sustainability. What are you clinging to? What old manure do you keep stepping in? This month (as Mercury's shift to Pisces dictates as well) is about upgrading the way you do business. The business of life, of relationships, communication, creativity, work and joy. Let the shift come- even if it begins with crumbling, rubble, and chaos. You will be offered tools, choices and options for how you want to rebuild with more stability. Retrograde Mars will force the issue and request that all things Mercury get pierced, pushed into action, and at the least, force you to put some attention and focus on these issues. The Mercury Mars tension can bring a "too many irons in the fire" experiences- where every iron gets hot and requires your attention. Simultaneously, there is an exchange between Mercury in Pisces and Jupiter in Gemini which insures growth in the process. To maximize this, turn everything into a smaller, more bite sized morsel if possible. Prioritize everything. Only the most time sensitive details should get your top focus in the coming weeks. See this time as a way to clean up and upgrade your actions, abilities and purpose. The positives can be more mental acuity, precise and clear agendas if you laser focus on details that matter most. Overall, some expansion is likely from your efforts if you can avoid mental drain. Sun moves to its position of exaltation on 4.13 at 20:42 CDT where it joins Ketu, receives drishti from a retrograde and compromised Saturn, as well as Rahu. Mars gives his drishti from Virgo, bringing an extra level of heat and pressure. Despite the challenging combinations at play, there is clearly moksha in the works from this configuration and the nakshatras involved. The coming weeks of Sun in Aries, bring surprises, pressures and awakenings that insure liberation on multiple levels. This transit occurs right before the full lunar eclipse on the 15th. Exalted Sun is a time when Sun is the "fullest" in his experience of life; his energy is maximized and feeling its own power. With power comes great responsibility, a need for purpose and a request of intention- in order for maximum alignment with dharma. His cohabitation with Ketu at this time indicates cleansing, restructuring and purification of our soul, our sense of dharma, purpose and power. Ketu's extraction process is usually not fun and often comes quickly. Prepare to feel naked and vulnerable. You may also feel stripped at times and uncertain who and what to trust. Though many dire and dramatic predictions are circulating about this year's set of eclipses, it's important to remember that with any bout of chaos, a restructuring of power is inevitable- both with our own inner, personal power, and our experience with it. I will share more about the lunar eclipse in my next post, but suffice it to say, the theme of "cleaning and clearing" from the inside out, is relevant and potent for this month, for the eclipses, and for the delicate time between the lunar and solar eclipses. It is a big year with multiple {major} planetary changes. We will experience the changes of Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu, Saturn and unusual movements of Mars all in the next eleven months. Big changes are in store for each of us! Feeling uncertain about your action steps? What needs to change in order for growth? What kind of support you need? Schedule a yearly progression with me in order to make your New Year a truly transformational year. I still have some sessions available for the end of April and the first part of May. *Horoscopes are based on your Vedic rising sign. You can also check your Moon and Sun signs for further insight. Do the same with your Navamsa signs for further clarity. Do not use these horoscopes with your “Western Sign” as there is likely no correlation. These horoscopes are meant to be used as a broad overview of the current transits and obviously do not address the specifics of an individual’s unique chart. Aries: You've been waiting for the curtain to come up and the spotlight to shine on you. Your moment is coming as Sun moves to your first house, but in the meantime, there's still some ripening to be done. Find clarity by prioritizing life properly. This includes making sure Self and family values are in place, while relationships are clear and in order. Who and what do you keep locking heads with? What fears are holding you back? It's time to get what you want, but you have to do things in a new way. Taurus: Gains to losses. Outer to inner. Rise to fall. These become themes for your next two weeks. Your need for stability, comfort and support brings you some ultimatums, choices and creative action. There's tension with alone time, silence, marriage, and relationship contracts simultaneously. Your healing work is needed like never before, and the theme of listening carefully to your gut is more important than ever. Belly dance. Gemini: This could be a challenging time for career and how you present your Self if you don't communicate from the heart. Then again, that's no guarantee that you will be received well; at least you will be authentic to your Self which is a worthy effort. Relationships in general may be stifling your creative forces, causing frustration and misalignment. There are strong cravings for more harmony. Achievements and gains come through your own self initiated courage once Sun moves to Aries. Be prepared to step like lightning. Cancer: Learning turns to wisdom in the coming weeks as you ingest and digest, assimilate and filter out what you need. Meditation is nourishment for the soul and an important part of this download phase that you are in. As heart and emotions go through yet another cycle of transformation, overhaul and reboot, sparks begin to fly in your career house with the transit of Sun moving to Aries. Restructuring of home and heart comes with it. Leo: Your momentum builds over the next two weeks and moves from silent inner realms, to outer, courageous leaps. You will need to keep the inner intention, however, for the time being and not neglect your meditation practice. Use what stirs you and your inner depths to inform your outer experiences. Your ego gets a buff and shine when Sun moves to your 9th house, and comes with an emotional cleanse. The good news is your courage will strengthen once the dust settles. Virgo: Finding comfort and harmony within your life and relationships is a general theme in this waxing Moon phase. There is a renewed sense of learning from love while healing simultaneously. And yet, intense inner transformation abounds mostly through letting go- of expectations, "shoulds" and past "mistakes". Your perfectionism gets a make over in other words. Prepare for a brighter polish as Sun moves to Aries. This will be a rest phase for you, but don't mistake that for the amount of change this vacation will bring. Libra: From inner to outer is the theme for the next two weeks. Scrub, polish, shine, repeat. Gut and digestion are sensitive and need your attention. Bad mental habits can creep in without you noticing- at first. Get ahead of your Self by staying true to course. Agendas, action steps and plans help set your intention, even if you get blown off course. Sparks and endings are inevitable with relationships. Try not to blow a fuse and keep your head on. Scorpio: Awareness, intention, transformation and liberation rule the weeks ahead. Intuition gains depth and potency, which assists career matters greatly. You will use this wisdom for healing and refining your work with others as Sun enters Aries. Prepare for an ego scrub closer to the eclipse. This may help you clarify a piece of your work that you've been lax about. On the other hand, a certain laser focus regarding duty, purpose and self worth is strengthened. Sagittarius: Though hurdles and hoops will be required, the next two weeks help you affirm a new resolve with career. Heart and home matters turn to gains and connections for your internal and external process. Cravings to connect require your courage to act. Need for nourishment and support may be more attainable through self soothing than reaching out. Sparks fly as you get passionate about life. Cut out what is not working, and also by getting creative. This is what your career and offerings have been missing. Capricorn: This waxing Moon phase has you working hard on your motivations. Who and what is driving this ship, steering you on or off course? What is the underlying need here? Get creative with your courage and start thinking about your laser focused action plan that leads to greater fulfillment, enjoyment and less work. Yes, I said, less work. Working smarter, not harder, insures that you will be rich. How rich do you want to be? Aquarius: Speaking with purpose and offering wisdom and comfort to others has you thinking in new ways about how you share and who you share with. Hone in on your expert strengths and gifts and don't be afraid to upgrade some of your marketable skills with a bit more education. Communication shifts for the coming weeks and requires you to have extra clarity. Don't be wishy washy. Bold action steps and courage are forced upon you as Sun enters Aries. Look for the lessons; watch out for land mines. Pisces: You continue to re-visit some very old pieces of the puzzle. Some relationship return with the same old issues and concerns and yet nothing seems to have changed. Here in lies the frustration, the confusion, the disappointment and the grande discomfort. I can't help but hear Bob Dylan playing in the background: "Well, it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe. Even you don't know by now. And it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe. It'll never do somehow". It's not the clarity you should be looking for, it's the change agent. You are ripe and ready for transformation; relationships are shifting all around you. Get ready, you're about to be pushed further out of your comfort zone. Trust that this is necessary for your healing process to be complete. |
