This Week's Intention: Use your inner wisdom and heart's desire to move towards your truth. Awaken, transform, heal, repeat. The solar eclipse of last week ushers in a waxing Moon and multiple planetary changes for the days to come. It's a very exciting week for the transits, with Mars and Sun both changing signs and Mercury going retrograde. These changes bring a separation between the tight conjunction of Mars and Venus, while Sun leaves its own sign for his enemy's sign, Virgo. We are now in a delicate two week period between eclipses that lasts until the total lunar eclipse and full Moon on September 27th. The gap between eclipses is a sacred time where we must be diligent with spiritual matters and notice the messages that arrive. Traditionally, it is not a time to start new ventures or take daring or dangerous actions. It is however a time to reflect, turn inward and work consciously with our shadow parts. After all, an eclipse is showing us the shadow on our Sun or Moon qualities quite directly. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Monday begins with Moon transiting Virgo and Hasta nakshatra, tightly conjunct Mercury as well as Rahu. Ruling deity, Savitr, brings his guiding light and awakenings today. Allow in the light, new realizations and potent connections through thinking and feeling. With Moon, Mercury and Rahu dancing so closely today, the battle between thinking and feeling may be strong. Allow in the feelings of goodness, prosperity and purpose. How can you find balance between the inner forces of mind and emotions? Let the light come in and bring the dawn. It's a new dawn, it's a new day. What are you creating? Mars is at the edge of Cancer in deep sandhi. He's leaving the watery sign of feelings and jumping into the fiery, passionate sign of Leo. Be a warrior of the heart right now and prepare to leap into your passions feet first in the coming cycle. Day of Mars, Tuesday, brings Moon shifting into a Mars ruled nakshatra, Chitra, late morning. This constellation is Vishvakarma's domain, the celestial architect. He loves powerful action, creativity and alignment with the cosmos. He's an artist and craftsman and he supports these endeavors as well as building and planning. Take intentional action steps today that align with your higher purpose, path and creativity. At 08:22 on Tuesday September 15th, Mars makes the leap officially into Leo, joining Jupiter and a sandhi Sun here. All receive drishti from Saturn's stern and focused stare. Mars enjoys the sign Leo and its ruling planet Sun, for their fiery, passionate ways, as well as the great teacher and wisdom giver, Jupiter. Saturn and Mars, however oppose each other energetically. Mars is fast while Saturn is extremely slow. Take this advice into the coming cycle as there will be a desire to push, force and rush, while Saturn will insist on slow, methodical steps for greater balance. If you feel frustrations with your desires, action steps, relationships and creative passions, it is Saturn reminding you to slow down and be more intentional with your actions. He reminds us to stay aligned with the wisdom of Nature. Are you listening? Part of this Mars transit includes another tight conjunction between the warrior energy of Mars and the fluid, creative and feminine, Venus, once again. There is a brief separation as Mars shifts to Leo, but Venus joins him here two weeks later on September 30th. The fiery, passionate and focused warrior planet dances yet again with the creative, relationship planet, Venus, who shares the wisdom of feelings with us. This duo in Leo will increase passions on all levels of life- including creative, artistic, romantic, and relational. Power increases and our drive to achieve passionately, unfolds. Increasing this potent creative, life force energy, as well as a focus on romance and relationships, comes from the shift of Jupiter into Purvaphalguni nakshatra on September 14th. Jupiter's expansive qualities intensify the potency of the Phalguni constellation and their sensual expression. Bhaga brings resources, comforts and the ability to manifest desires into form. Be conscious about what you are creating in your life at this time. Increase your feelings of nourishment, happiness and joy, in order to create more of this in your life. Seek wisdom that brings inner harmony and open your heart to gratitude, passion and allow the romance of life to lift you up. Creativity takes courage, so use your creative powers very intentionally and courageoulsy at this time. Moon moves to Libra, late evening, leaving the influence of the other planets through conjunction or gaze. Allow in the emotional body space over the coming days. Sun is at the very edge of Leo, ready to step into Virgo. Keep your light burning by attending to your body and soul. As Wednesday arrives, Moon continues through Chitra until just before noon. Swati nakshatra gains magnification as Moon enters this nakshatra. Ruling deity Vayu brings swift change, powerful movement and strength. The mind and body will be the forces behind these changes. Are you grounded or lost in flight? Stay grounded and get embodied, rather than getting overpowered by the strong winds of Vayu. He brings change- whether small or large, as well as strength to move mountains. What needs to shift inside, so you can gain the power and strength you need to build your empire? Just before midnight on Wednesday, September 16th at 23: 26, Sun shifts into Virgo, joining Rahu and Mercury here. All receive drishti from Ketu, the re-structuring lightning bolt. Sun is not fond of Virgo and this can cause discomfort for our mind, strategies, connections and communication. His light wants to shine potently and powerfully, at maximum strength, yet Virgo is very specific, overly focused at times and too direct. This can cause mental burn, overwhelm and excess heat in the mental body so be vigilant at this time with your mind. Are you pushing too hard? Are you feeling taxed, overwhelmed or dissatisfied? Virgo's precision and the mental body, may be keeping you from nourishment. Allow in the feelings of light, awakening and new insights to encourage healing and greater support. This transit of Sun can be a powerful opportunity for awakenings, depending on where we put our efforts and energy. Great healing and inner light is possible, if we diligently look at our shadows and courageously attend to our inner struggles. The mind will be telling you one thing, but listen to the heart and its wisdom instead. Go for nourishment, go for healing old wounds, go for your inner gold this time. Halfway through Thursday, day of the guru, Moon shifts into the final nakshatra of Libra, Vishaka. Often described as the "triumphant gateway", the symbol here is a decorated gateway, while Vishaka's translation is "the two branches". Vishaka gives us options, choices and thereby confusion at times. Do you go left or right? Say yes or no? As my guru Maharishi once said, in the market place, "you can choose salt or sugar." Ruling deity, Indragni, reminds us that every path requires support, collaboration and co-creation. Allow yourself to receive support in order to enhance your path. What choice do you make for your potent, powerful life today? Do you choose to honor your gifts, desires, passions and heart wisdom? Do you honor your feelings and their messages of truth? Step onto the path of nourishment, support and inner kindness. Say yes to the sugar and sweetness of your one, precious life. Mercury begins his 22 day retrograde motion at 11:07 on Thursday, the 17th, moving back through his favorite sign, Virgo. The conjunction of Mercury and Rahu during this cycle will effect individuals differently. For some, the confusion of Rahu will undermine the potency of Mercury being well positioned, intensified by Mercury's retrograde motion. Others will experience a massive upswing in finances, connections and creativity. Your ability to resource from your inner strength and power will determine your success during this extra long Virgo transit. What is your relationship with your shadow? Can you tame the beast, call it on its self-deprecation and consciously work with overcoming limiting beliefs? Success will come to those who take the dark and turn it into the light. Your biggest struggles are asking you to rise to the occasion. Turn struggle and challenge into gifts and awakening. This Mercury cycle is extra long and unusual. In many regards it is an offering with extra graces- if we choose to use them as such. Mercury usually makes fairly swift movements, yet his retrograde motion will prolong his dance through his favorite sign. He will retrograde on September 17th, then go direct on October 9th, and finally leave Virgo on the 28th of October. During this back and forth shuffle, he will move in and out of his most potent degree range and also slide in and out of his mulitrikona and own sign degrees. We get a smorgasbord of his support, struggles and potency. An exalted planet shares 100% of his energy, mulitrikona 75% and own sign 50%. Remember that once he retrogrades, at times he will be considered debilitated as he moves back through his exaltation degrees. (Exalted planets in retrograde motion are considered debilitated). This occurs from September 28th to October 9th to be exact. At this time he is closely conjunct Rahu and combust (burnt) from the Sun. Certainly a time to be very diligent with our mental body, our shadow work and our ego. Use this time for conscious self development work and spiritual practices. During this Mercury transit through Virgo, we will all need to pay special attention to our mental body, our imaginal body. Stories, thoughts, ideas and words will be extra strong and powerful as will our creativity and imagination. This is the part of our being that can create magic, or destroy us. Depending on Mercury's placement in your chart and your relationship with him, this could be an extra challenging cycle, or a powerful and creative game-changer. Being on top of your mental/emotional body dynamics will be vital. Today, September 17th, is Ganesh Chaturthi, celebrated birthday of the revered elephant god. The festivities continue for 10 days, ending on the 27th with the Purnima Moon. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati who removes obstacles and challenges on our path of awakening. On the physical body level, his head correlates to our brain and his trunk to our spinal column. These are essential body parts for transcendence and awakening. He is a reminder of spiritual practice, devotion and mental body vigilance- in order for awakening and our greatest obstacles to be removed from our path. Jai Ganesha!! Late morning on Friday, Moon arrives into its debilitation sign, Scorpio, joining planet of grief, Saturn. Mars and Ketu share their drishti as well. This combination contracts the otherwise joyful and harmonizing spirit of the Moon, while also bringing agitations, anger and frustrations to the surface. A certain depression may arrive in the coming days. The emotional body is reminding you to express, awaken and transform your feelings. Have you been closing off, repressing your power, passions and emotional body wisdom? Now is the time to get things moving. As Moon shifts into Anuradha late afternoon, friends, connections and comrades can be powerful allies of support. Let a trustworthy and nourishing relationship in for guidance and listening. Allow yourself to share and be witnessed for your struggles and sorrows. Use your physical body wisdom as a resource for harvesting your emotional body messages. Move, create, express, transform. Stay out of the fine details that limit your broad, expanded awareness. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Saturday continues Anuradha's themes of support and connection. Ruling deity, Mitra, allows success and deep connection to transpire. Are you allowing in the nourishing, supportive assistance? Let the gifts arrive and say yes! Early evening, Moon shifts to Indra's domain, Jyeshtha nakshatra. As king of the devas (gods), Indra is a master and powerful leader. Planetary ruler, Mercury, invites in mastery of the mind and senses. The opportunity for mental body healing comes with Jyestha, but through control and focused, aligned intention. Do you rule your mind or does it rule you? Sunday continues Indra's support and awareness. There is extra sensitivity within this nakshatra, but simultaneously great power. Find mastery with your senses and the illusions they bring. Commit to transforming negative thoughts into powerful, positive ones. Use the shadows and darkness of the mind to awaken you. How are your challenges keeping you in the dark? Let them lead you towards your gifts, your truth and potency. Mid evening, Moon jumps to Sagittarius. This can be a tricky gandanta for any planet- from water to fire. As Moon makes his leap, he arrives into Mula nakshatra, a challenging and tumultuous constellation ruled by the dark goddess herself, Nirrti. She brings calamity with her, as well as crisis, confusion and destruction of inner power. Her forces are meant to keep one from dharma, a path of truth, power and inner knowing. Her darkness can bring great misery, or great healing. The healing only arrives when we are willing to face our own darkness and use it as a means of transformation, change and awakening. Monday begins with the chaos of Nirrti so keep this in mind as you step into your day. Are you working with the challenges consciously or resisting them? Any force against the challenge will not be a good use of your efforts or energy. Instead, surrender, let go and allow release. Simplify and do less- in order to accomplish more. *All calculations given are Pacific Daylight Time. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. This Week's Intention: Unfurl your wings and stretch them wide. Find ways to broaden and expand your reach. Moon continues to swell and wax as our inner waters amplify with the rising tides. Past the half way mark of the lunar cycle now, Moon moves into the tenth tithi (phase) on Monday. Mercury is now exalted in Virgo, conjunct Rahu. Are you feeling the increase in communication, connection and creativity yet? Sun and Jupiter continue to track each other closely this week. Watch for soul burn and move towards the light. Venus and Mars are also closely conjunct this week in Cancer. Feel your heart wisdom, even if it hurts. The week begins with a debilitated Moon in Scorpio, leaving conjunction with Saturn. Indra rules the day until Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra Monday afternoon. The day of Moon (Monday) requires that we tend to our sensitivity as well as our senses. Are you being ruled by your wild horses or are you holding the reigns? Once Moon enters Mula nakshatra, attending to our inner wisdom is of the utmost importance. Jupiter's gaze offers extra nourishment and support but Mula's ruling deity, Nirrti, arrives with her chaos, sudden change and calamity. Her dark forces can keep us from aligning with our path and purpose as she is adharmic in nature. Are you seeking resources to align with your higher purpose? Are you a part of the chaos or able to stand in the center of the storm? Resource from the wisdom of the physical body. It's the only thing that will bring you back to the now. Tuesday, Nirrti and her sharp, cutting nature, continue to rule the first part of the day. Underneath her darkness, depth and spirituality can be accessed. Can you feel the other option, or are you caught in the challenge? Just after noon, Moon shifts to a fierce and severe nakshatra, PurvaAshada, and its ruling deity, Apas, brings another type of force with her. Today is yet another opportunity for change and transformation but this one comes with water and arrives through deep cleansing. Let water assist you with this process. Get into water, walk near it, allow the rain- in the form of tears if not from Nature herself. Jupiter and Sun are in exact conjunction. Cleanse your heart and soul! Let wisdom and truth be your power source! Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! Don't miss my online Creativity + Embodiment Immersion. Get the Details. Just before noon on Wednesday, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttaraAshada. This star is fixed and stable, allowing nourishing sustainable activities to take hold. The Vishva Devas provide their universal goodness and help us align with the Laws of Nature in dynamic and powerful ways. Align with dharma, truth and positivity. Use gratitude to soften the heart. Shine, share and be seen for your purity and do good deeds. Early evening, Moon jumps to the hard working and tenacious, Capricorn. Saturn, Rahu, Mars and Venus give their gaze to the soft and tender Moon. Allow time to land and be with your feeling body. Work to soften your hard edges over the next few days. Early Thursday morning, Moon moves to a sacred constellation that is gently tucked in between UttaraAshada and Sravana nakshatra. This little known 28th nakshatra is called Abhijit and only covers about four degrees. This is a good time for prayer, meditation, setting intentions and being close to spirit. This time period will be from about 04:30 to 10:30, just before Moon shifts to Sravana nakshatra. Sravana nakshatra and its ruling deity, Vishnu, helps us align with the expansive forces of the universe. His purpose is to move us towards dharma and help us hear the wisdom being whispered in our ear from heaven, to the cosmos and back to earth. Listen carefully today and let your desires be known. Align your steps with life purpose and inner power. Jupiter and Sun are still tightly conjunct. Tend to your inner wisdom and let the power of the Sun burn away the impurities within you. If you're feeling the discomfort, open and awaken through gratitude and keep your body cool with Pitta pacifying foods and actions. Midmorning Friday, Moon shifts to Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas bring us increased light or Jyoti. Sharing from your heart will prove the most valuable resource today. Be soft, focused and let the power of your heart wisdom be your spokesperson. Align and shine! Express, share and give your positive message to the world. What words of wisdom can you offer your tribe? Early evening Moon shifts to Saturn's other sign, Aquarius, where it receives the hot gaze Jupiter, Sun and Mars. Moon also moves into the 15th and final tithi (phase) at this time. Stay focused but don't get burned out or fried in the process. Are you pushing too hard? As Mercury closely conjuncts Rahu the mental body also intensifies. Shadow or strength? Illusion or awakening? The mental and emotional bodies are extra powerful right now- watch how you use them. Before sunrise on Saturday, Moon arrives into Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna's domain. Our health and wellness becomes a top priority during this high tide time. Full Moon is Saturday, August 29th at 11:34 Pacific Time. Moon is in Aquarius and Satabisha Nakshatra. Healing arrives with this full Moon, yet comes with a certain edge and harshness simultaneously. Satabisha nakshatra is ruled by Varuna, the guardian of Natural Law and right action. Nothing gets past his thousands of eyes that see everything. Satabisha can help us work with boundaries and our resistance. What is your relationship with inner and outer boundaries- physical and energetic? Let this full Moon be one of intentional healing- especially for the mental body. Get resourced, nourished and attend to self care diligently. Use this wisdom to guide you through the coming waning cycle. Attend and attune to sacred healing. Want the extended version of my New Moon Wisdom? Purchase my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar for extra cosmic insights. Get It. The close conjunction of exalted Mercury and Rahu continues. Attend to your mental body and be diligent with its stories, messages, memories and imaginal realms. Are you feeding it or aligning with its magical support? Using its amplification for change and healing or letting it run wild with you through illusion and delusion? Self track and get on top of it. In the early hours of Sunday morning, Moon arrives in the light and graceful nakshatra, Purvabhadra. Ajaikapada is the ruling deity, who helps us balance seemingly impossible tasks with ease and steadiness. Often he is referred to as a form of Shiva, Lord of the Dance. He steps between worlds, realms and dimensions, sharing depth, strength and purpose when he arrives. Let the wisdom come too, but let it enter from the body. What can your body-mind tell you about grounding and landing in the now? Before you jump forward, into the next cycle, day or moment, stop here, be present, be in the now. Use your feet to help you land and find your anchor. Moon shifts to Pisces early evening, joining Ketu. Both receive the intense mental body gaze of Mercury and Rahu. Find your release, letting go and deepen your surrender. Mars and Venus are closely conjunct right now. Soften to your heart wisdom and allow deep release. Tears and emotional body waves are a necessary part of this process. Let them out. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada constellation, Uttarabhadra. Ruling deity, Ahirbudhnya, serpent of the netherworlds, helps us access our hidden, inner wisdom. It's there, can you find it? It's the hidden, dark and mysterious kind. It will come in flashes- suddenly provoking insight and shifts in perception. If your third eye is closed, you'll miss it. Let Monday continue to offer its awakening support. Keep looking and you'll find what you are seeking. *Timing used is Pacific Standard Time Zone. Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! Moon is waxing and the week begins with the third tithi (phase) called tritiya- Vishnu's domain. Just before Monday begins, Sun leaps to its own sign, Leo. Late in the week, Mercury shifts to its sign of exaltation. This is a very powerful time ahead. I urge everyone to use the coming cycles in very conscious ways. Don't waste this precious window of opportunity! Activate and align with your full potential, dharma and inner wisdom. As Sun shifts to its mulitrikona and own sign, Leo, on August 16th at 23:30 Pacific time, he joins Jupiter, Mercury and Moon here as well. All receive the stern gaze of Saturn who insists on focus, structure and stability. Suddenly our power has a chance to align with purpose in this month to come! But not without deep intention. This Sun cycle activates passion in new ways and offers renewal, fresh starts and a new resolve for all. Simultaneously, heart passion will be potent and forceful. Heart burn or heart wisdom? Channel the heat carefully and intentionally. Connect, create and reach out in powerful ways. Let community and relationships support you and your efforts. Do not self isolate! Work consciously with your father self and your masculine energy. Diligently clear your inner psycho-emotional and psycho-spiritual blockages and obstacles, inherited from your father and his lineage. Simultaneously, step into the strengths and gifts that have been offered from him as well. Put structures in place that support your work, vision and longevity. Be a manager, a CEO, and use your energy wisely. Let your power align with a deeper sense of purpose. If you're one without a strong calling or sense of life purpose, now is the time to commit like never before. Use this time to follow your soul's longing and dedicate your actions to activating your dharma. If you need support, ask for it, but don't miss this chance to align with your inner power and wisdom. Need resources? Ask me for help. Use this cycle to find clarity, support and activate your dharmic wisdom. Seek empowerment, but watch for over-active ego simultaneously. You'll know if you're out of balance when entitlement, anger, agitation, rigidity or self-righteousness arrives. This is your red flag that you need to step back into a more heart-centered place of compassion. Monday, Moon moves from Leo to Virgo in the early hours of the morning, joining Rahu here. Both planets are in UttaraPhalguni, the second half of the fertile star pattern, Phalguni. Aryaman is the ruling deity. He desires comfort, connection and sustainability as well as creativity. He supports lasting relationships and marriage contracts as well as what the ancestors adore- children, family and lineage. Moon conjuncts Rahu today which increases cravings, desires, uncertainties and shadow work. What desires have you overwhelmed, uncertain, fearful? Where can you surrender and let go? Late evening, Moon moves to Savitr's domain, Hasta nakshatra, and continues through this constellation through Tuesday. The gifts of Savitr are awakening and insight, light and the dawning of consciousness. Are you awake or sleep walking? Where do you need to step into your life more consciously? What action steps can you take to activate your awareness and inner wisdom? This is not a time to be asleep at the wheel! Get out of auto pilot and awaken! Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! Don't miss my online Creativity + Embodiment Immersion. Get the Details. On Wednesday, Moon shifts to Chitra nakshatra and Vishvakarma instigates creative energy. He want our creative powers to be activated through action steps (hence karma). Chitra is ruled by the planet Mars. Currently our fire is debilitated in Cancer. Many are feeling frustrations, delays or setbacks with taking necessary action. Make today potent with conscious momentum. What action step can you take today towards creativity and building your empire? Get it! Late afternoon, Moon moves to Libra, receiving the gaze of debilitated Mars. Connect, communicate and create, but lead with your heart. Just as Thursday arrives, Moon waltzes into Swati nakshatra, Vayu's constellation. He brings movement, swift change and intense strength with him. His Rudra energy creates powerful momentum and can arrive as a soft breeze or gale force winds. Are you being blown around or are you harnessing your wind power? Find the calm in the center of your storm. Let go of energy drains and the unnecessary. Be strategic, forceful and clear about your direction. Late morning Friday, Moon changes to Vishaka's nakshatra and collaboration becomes crucial. Indra and Agni are the dual ruling deities of this constellation. As Moon illuminates these stars, we are urged to connect, co-create and find ways to be in community. How can you be both- support and supported? Who and what do you need in your life to help your process and journey? What do you need in order to thrive? Ask for help and get your needs met. Mercury is at the edge of Leo today. Resource from your imaginal body and make a list of what you need in order to step up your life. Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! Don't miss my online Creativity + Embodiment Immersion. Get the Details. As Saturday arrives, Moon shifts to its debilitation sign, Scorpio, conjuncting Saturn, planet of our grief and suffering. This collision of planets increases sadness, depression and especially loss. Expect tears and extra emotional body sensitivity over the next few days. Tend to your inner realms and physical body. Late Saturday morning, Moon shifts to Anuradha nakshatra. The ruler of this constellation is Mitra, who makes Anuradha the "friendly star". Connect with your friendships today and be a friend to those in need. Dance with the art of giving and receiving, opening and closing, inviting in and letting go. Find your dance with joy and sadness and practice graceful steps. Mercury (the mental body) moves to Virgo, its sign of exaltation, mulitrikona and own sign. Extra support arrives for our mind, our creative endeavors and all communication efforts. As Mercury shifts into Virgo on August 22nd at 19:50 Pacific time, he joins Rahu here and Ketu gives his re-structuring gaze from seven houses away. The conjunction of Mercury and Rahu during this cycle will effect individuals differently. For some, the confusion of Rahu will undermine the potency of Mercury being well positioned. Sunday late morning, Moon moves to the final nakshatra of Scorpio, Jyeshtha. Sun and Jupiter are closely conjunct in Leo and Mercury has just shifted to Virgo, still weak in degrees. Our body, mind, emotions and spirit are fragile right now. There are challenges with the changes as we all find a new sense of normalcy and grounding. Resource from the physical body and somatic wisdom today. Use embodiment resources and a 4 Level Check-in to land on your feet. Indra rules the day and requires that we tend to our sensitivity as well as our senses. Are you being ruled by your wild horses or are you holding the reigns? Take this wisdom into Monday. Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! Don't miss my online Creativity + Embodiment Immersion. Get the Details.

Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. The Moon swells and expands this week, asking us to respond to her increased flow. The most powerful full Moon of the year occurs late in the week and Saturn goes direct after four and half months of retrograde motion. Let out the exhale and find your release. Monday is influenced by Mercury as the Moon moves through Jyeshtha nakshatra, Indras constellation. With Moon transiting its debilitation sign, Scorpio and in Jyeshtha, extreme sensitivity and overwhelm can occur easily. The sensorial level of our being is easily impacted as well as the mental and emotional bodies. The mental body is extra sensitive right now in general- as Mercury and Sun are combust with Ketu's gaze. Frazzled and fried? What can you do to turn down the heat and defrag the system? Hint: Less is more. Remove anything unnecessary from your plate. August Jyotish Basics classes are open for enrollment. Early Bird price + special free gift is available for 48 hours only! Get the Details. Just as Tuesday begins, Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra. Nirrti, the dark goddess, arrives with her upheaval and removal tactics. Mars and Jupiter give their gaze, offering some clarity and tenacity to an otherwise delicate time. Can you get focused and clear? Aim high and meet your mark. Stay out of the chaos and overwhelm by landing and grounding as much as possible in the physical body. This will take courage but try to land on your feet. Mars moves to the edge of Gemini and is sandhi (in the gap). Soften your action steps and relax the mind. Meditation is an excellent use of your time today. PurvaAshada nakshatra starts the day on Wednesday, sharing the powerful flow of Apas and her watery ways. Her strength can be a blessing or an overwhelming inundation. If you've been feeling the pressure, it's time to open the floodgates and find the release valve. This may come with emotions and tears, but let them flow and cleanse you. Mercury begins to separate from close conjunction with the Sun and our mind begins to get some relief as well. Feeling the frustration still? Mars is at the edge of Gemini, still tickling our mental body with red and reaction. What is underneath the agitation? Find the need and see what action steps need to be taken for greater ease. Today, uproot and pull up old, inner weeds. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to UttaraAshada. Registration for August Jyotish Basics classes is closing on Friday, July 31st! Don't miss out on a month of support with your personal growth, healing and transformation. Get the Details. Day of the guru, Jupiter, arrives as Moon transits UttaraAshada. As Thursday arrives, Moon moves to Capricorn mid-morning, receiving drishti (gaze) from five planets simultaneously. Sun, Mercury, Mars, Rahu and Saturn offer a recipe for overwhelm and intensity, yet the Vishvadevas offer their support through resources and aligning with our truth. Look for flashes of insights and awareness regarding your gifts and inner wisdom. Listen carefully and align with your highest knowing. Trust your inner light to guide you. Catch yourself in the emotional extremism before you go down the rabbit hole. What do you need to do in order to ground and land in your body more fully? As the waxing Moon peaks, another planetary shift occurs. Mars moves to its debilitation sign, Cancer, joining Mercury and Sun here. On July 30th at 13:14, the warrior, fire planet moves to the watery and emotive sign of Cancer and will be here until mid September. These two forces naturally oppose each other as Mars is reactive and action oriented and Cancer is connected to feelings and the emotional body. Mars is not a thinker or a feeler, he is a doer. Conflicts between thoughts, feelings and actions occur in this cycle, however there is opportunity to bring light and greater awareness to our heart wisdom. If you feel irritation and anger, it's time to dig deeper. What are the needs underneath the outbursts? What expression needs to be released, rather than repressed? How can you tend to your emotional body wisdom with greater compassion and clarity? Ask yourself "Where am I pushing too hard?" Matters with home, heart, mother, land and property feel the extra level of fire and complexity right now. Be gentle and soften your heart wherever possible. Find ways to balance your action and non-action, as there may be confusion with how to move forward in this cycle with rest and activity. For those with prominent placements or strong influences of Mars in your chart, this is somewhat of a rest cycle for you. Pushing too hard will be counterproductive. Make your heart and home the priority. Moon is in the 15th tithi (purnima) and final phase of the waxing cycle as of the morning of July 30th. However, the fullest part of the Moon is not until Friday early in the morning. Late afternoon into late evening, Moon passes through the most sacred nakshatra of all, the little known 28th nakshatra, Abhijit. The domain of Abhijit is in between UttaraAshada and Sravana nakshatra- from 6 degrees 40 to 10 degrees 53. Use this time for meditation and sharing your intentions with the universe. As Moon shifts to Sravana late in the evening a more expansive sacredness arrives. Align with your intentions and seek clarity with your path. I'll be offering a free Creative Ritual web class for Guru Purnima. Make sure you're on the list. Friday begins with a sense of auspiciousness as Moon transits Sravana nakshatra. The fullest full Moon of the Vedic calendar, called Guru Purnima, is dedicated to gurus, teachers and honoring our spiritual lineage. The exact time of the full Moon is 03:42 am Pacific Time, while Moon is in Capricorn and Sravana nakshatra. This is the second full Moon of July and a powerful time to align with deep intention, sacredness and dharma. Attend to the wisdom within, honor your teachers and lineage, while using ritual to solidify your intentions. How can you clarify your path and commit to your purpose more fully? Sravana is Vishnu's constellation and he brings an expansiveness that can be transcendental and awakening. Vishnu's purpose is to uphold dharma, which he does through sound. Open your mind and see what you find. Root through the feet and let your body wisdom help you listen. Late evening, Moon shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas come out to shine. Saturday is the day of Saturn, but Moon moves through a Mars ruled constellation, Dhanishta. Moon shifts to Aquarius mid morning, a sign ruled by both Saturn and Rahu and gives a nod to the 11th house of gains and friendships. Moon receives gaze from Jupiter and Venus as well as Mars. Passion, anyone? There is also a certain bright and shining light shared with this nakshatra. Natives often have a very distinct glow which is a gift from the Vasu Devas. They support our ability to be seen, noticed and wealthy- through our action steps. They bring the jyoti, the light and love us to align and activate dharma. Take an action step towards your dharma today that will make the Vasu Devas proud! Let your heart wisdom and emotional body guide you. Moon shifts to Satabisha nakshatra early evening. Just before 22:00, Saturn goes direct. I'll be doing cartwheels!! What about you?! This ends over four months of slow, intensified returns that have kicked up grief, sadness, loss and fears. Let out your breath, sigh with relief, notice where you've been holding on and seek release. Structure, focus, movement and stability begin to move in a forward direction. Find a new dance, step wisely, acknowledge your path and the road you have traveled. Find a place within where you can cultivate some new joy. Read more about Saturn in Scorpio. Sunday is ruled by Rahu and Varuna as the Moon transits through Satabisha nakshatra. Moon is waning and enters the 3rd tithi today, called tritiya, a Vishnu ruled Moon phase. Satabhisha and Varuna guard Natural Law, the laws of the universe. Nothing gets past Varuna's gaze and scrutiny. There is a certain healing and sacredness with this nakshatra, as well as harshness and an intensified critic. Can you dance with the devil but find your own drum beat? Moon shifts to the first half of Bhadrapada late afternoon. Keep dancing, even if it feels impossible. Let Ajaikapada help you balance overwhelm, uncertainty and upheaval. Stomp and kick up some dust. Count your steps and work your way through Monday with PurvaBhadrapada and Lord of the Dance. *Pacific Time Zone is used for all planetary timing. but stay grounded and embodied in the process. This Week's Intention: Turn your attention inward and find the gems you seek within. Monday begins with a ripe Moon perched at the edge of Libra and shifts into its debilitation sign, Scorpio, just after midnight. Moon transits Vishaka nakshatra, the two branches, symbolizing a gateway of triumph. This dual ruled nakshatra contains the wisdom of Indra and Agni, who offers success through collaboration and co-creation. Two heads are better than one. Use this metaphor to find greater support today. As Moon shifts into Anuradha nakshatra late morning, this theme continues to emerge with the "friendly star." Ruling deity, Mitra, can bring us connections and support through friendships and alliances. We may also feel challenges from the same as Moon conjuncts contractive Saturn as well. Sensitivity abounds! And though the Moon is almost full, it's actually a very tender, inward Moon which invokes self care and attention to vulnerability. Tuesday ushers in a full Moon at 09:18 PDT while Moon is in Scorpio and Jyestha Nakshatra. Jyestha nakshatra is ruled by Indra, the king of the gods. He is responsible for releasing the water from the clouds, allowing it to rain, often using his weapon of choice, the thunderbolt. Indra rules our senses and reminds us to use discernment with them, rather than being ruled by all of our urges and desires. Much like the clouds, our tears are released and are a cleansing offering of Indra as well. Scorpio is the Moon's debilitation sign and because Moon will also be conjunct retrograde Saturn at the time of the full Moon, themes for the coming cycle invite certain pressures- which can intensify the emotional body effects we experience. This combination however will provide deep release, like a valve that needs to be opened, inviting in a sense of letting go and waves of grief to surface. As the Moon begins to wane on Tuesday, our reflection continues to turn inward and reminders, imagery and ideas from the past resurface. What pieces need to be responded to? Which ones need to be released? Do you want more astrological details about the new Moon and the coming cycle? Use my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar to learn more about the cosmic themes. Learn More. Moon jumps to Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra early Wednesday morning, inviting in Nirriti's chaos and calamity. She helps us become unbounded, to release where we are holding on too tightly. Expect the unexpected with the dark goddess emerging today. Sudden, unexpected shifts arrive. Where are we holding on when we should be letting go? What space can we create with a deeper release? Today is well suited to gentle cleansing, releasing and rejuvenation practices. Rest, restore and relax but don't push or force actions and outcomes. Thursday morning Moon shifts into PurvAshada nakshatra, inviting Apas to rule over the day. As the water goddess, she provides purification, as well as deep feelings and continuous movement. Mars gives his drishti to the Moon today, offering both fierce anger and passion, while simultaneously giving us an opportunity for deeper connection to MA if we listen carefully. There is a certain sensitivity today and deep feelings are available to us. How do these feelings move you and stir you to respond? Thursday is the last chance to join my Jyotish Basics Classes for June! The focus of the month is Money and Wealth. Ready to increase your financial stability and change your relationship with money? Join me for classes. Moon dips into the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttarAshada, Friday morning and the Vishva Devas are enlivened. The symbol of this nakshatra is an elephant tusk which denotes a certain connection to Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. This is a softer, gentler star than PurvAshada, and its aim is for support and assistance. Where can you allow more support into your life? How does it show up? As Moon shifts into Capricorn midday, he moves to Saturn's sign and receives his drishti as well. Rahu, Jupiter and Venus also give their gaze, providing increases, changes, expansion and contraction. Can you go with the flow? Early Saturday morning, Moon moves into Sravana, Vishnu's territory. Vishnu is intimately connected to hearing and the transmission of information, especially the sacred variety. Like akasha, space, he is everywhere. What are you expanding towards today? The wisdom you seek is seeking you. Soak it up. As Sunday begins, Moon moves to Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas are enlivened. These Devatas help us find the rhythm of life, our own beat. The symbol here is a drum, which physically connects us to the pulse, the heartbeat within us as well as the pulse of life. What beat are you hearing and connecting to? How are you connecting to the pulse of life today? Moon shifts to Aquarius late afternoon, a Saturn ruled sign, but out of the gaze of the other planets. Let yourself dance to your own rhythm, your own beat. Monday begins with Moon shifting into Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna's domain. His symbol is an empty circle and he is connected to restraint. Varuna brings strong resistance at times but may be helpful with creating healthy boundaries. Are you resisting or avoiding? Are you conscious of this or pushing vital nourishment away? *Time zone used for calculations is in Pacific Daylight Time unless otherwise noted.
