Moon Mind :::
12.25 Moon transits Virgo and moves to Hasta nakshatra at 08:00 am CST. Ruled by Savitr, the god of dawning and consciousness expansion, today offers tender awakening and mental receptivity as a special boon for the holidays. But watch anger, irritations and royal displeasure. It will take conscious effort to stay in the grace and goodness of the day. Working with hands, creativity and artistic ventures will be a good use of time and energy, as well as appealing to the emotions. Tend to Self-care needs and take a time out if you feel overwhelm creeping in. Letting go of emotional attachments can go a long way today. 12.26 Moon has separated from Mars, though both reside in Virgo still for the majority of the day. Moon moves to Chitra nakshatra late in the morning, increasing the potential for frustrations and emotional outbursts. Vishvakarma gives us the opportunity to evaluate our "next steps" and what we will create for our lives. We are reminded today that we build our own reality, and must construct the life of our dreams, one tiny step at a time. Often this is a lonely journey with frustrations along the way. Our family can hold up the mirror of displeasure, but take this opportunity to see beyond the mirror and look for your own truths. You have free will. Paint your dreams today.

Moon Mind :::
Saturday 7th, Sunday 8th Moon transits Virgo in Hasta nakshatra where Mercury is (newly exalted). Hasta is ruled by the Moon and Savitr and is connected to the dawn, waking up, self-realization, creative expression and the healing arts, working with the hands and the gifts that come from working with the hands. Reciting Gayatri Mantra is especially helpful today- especially if you are experiencing emotional/mental issues. Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ tát savitúr váreṇ(i)yaṃ bhárgo devásya dhīmahi dhíyo yó naḥ pracodáyāt Moon moves to Chitra nakshatra to at 21:59 CDT and stays there until 21:59 CDT tomorrow evening. Chitra is ruled by Mars (debilitated currently in Cancer) and ruled by Vishvakarma. Use tonight and the greater part of tomorrow for building, planning, strategizing, finding solutions, and for implementing creative endeavors. It is an especially good time for linking the creative arts with the emotions. If you haven't already created your New Moon Mandala from the Creative Engagement homework, now is a great time. If you have your mandala finished, why not take this into the next step? Write three action steps based on your new list of creative desires. Implement one of these steps this weekend. Find this week's CE homework here: http://www.swatijrjyotish.com/1/post/2013/09/horoscopes-for-the-week-of-92.html *Technically Ganesha Chaturthi {Birthday of Ganesh} has started already here in the US at 6:19 am CDT with the sukla chaturthi (4th tithi of waxing moon). This ten day celebration will end on the 17th. I will share more in my horoscopes/updates using Monday the 9th (India time) as the start date for the festivities. Jai Ganesha* Moon Mind :::
8.11 Moon transits Virgo in Hasta nakshatra, but moves to Chitra at 16:21 CDT. Waxing Moon transits the 5th tithi for the majority of the day, ruled by Jupiter. Chitra is ruled by Mars and Vishvakarma, the divine architect. There is much creativity and ornamentation here. {Jupiter currently sits in Gemini with Mars. Mars is giving drishti to Moon and Venus now in Virgo. Both Gemini and Virgo are ruled by Mercury. Mercury currently sits in Cancer (ruled by Moon) and is with Sun there.} This matrix of energy can bring a passionate critique- one where the mind runs away with itself and starts to doubt, then suddenly the emotions get swept into these currents. Especially note if you are being extra critical of relationships, females, creative endeavors, artistic pursuits. Bring awareness to the judgement of others and note that there is really judgment for the self under all of it. *More on debilitated Venus in Virgo and the multiple transits over the next week of Mars, Sun and Mercury in my weekly horoscopes- coming out tomorrow. 8.9 Moon transits Leo, conjunct Venus. Moon moves through Purvaphalguni nakshatra and into Uttaraphalguni at 14:36 CDT and is in the 3rd tithi until late evening. Be boldly creative. Connect the emotional body with your creative, somatic and physical endeavors. This is an excellent day to resource with the emotions, let them be king, and use them to create, transform and transcend. Personal sexuality/sensuality and fertility/creativity is the primary energy until Moon moves to Uttaraphalguni. The energy, thoughts, desires and needs move towards family, sustainability, and the fruits gained from the previous days etc. Make a fruit salade and enjoy the melange. Moon moves to Virgo at 20:55 CDT. 8.10 Moon in Virgo and moves from Uttaraphalguni to Hasta at 15:40 CDT. The mental and emotional bodies are illuminated. Watch for heat, getting burned- especially the hands. Use this time to sharpen the mind, keep wit alive, work with hand/eye coordination and watch for pick-pockets. Get creative- with the hands. Do a hand dance- enter the dance through the fingers, palm, hand and wrist. Recite the Gayatri Mantra. *If anyone would like to share their "Creative Engagement" Homework from my previous posts, please email it to me so that I can share it with the list in my next newsletter. It's exciting and inspiring to witness the individual creative process. Thank you! Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
Monday 6.17 Moon in Virgo and Hasta nakshatra, ruled by Savitr, the god of awakening. Savitr rules over the dawn, that space and time that is neither day, nor night, the time of unveiling, waking up and realizing- symbolized by the increasing light. It is a sandhi time (the gap- between night and day) and is considered mystical, filled with opportunity, yet delicate as well. Hasta exemplifies the search, the yearning, the movement towards realization, expansion of consciousness, the striving to know more, grasp more (the symbol is a hand). Reciting Gayatri Mantra will help with the inner awakening, align with Savitr, and awaken the creative potential that moves through the hands. (Think hand/eye coordination and the awareness created with this repetition.) Hasta is ruled by Moon, but Moon is in the 9th tithi (Navami) ruled by the Sun. Today is about balancing masculine and feminine energies within ourselves, shiva and shakti, sun and moon. Find the balance of inner and outer harmony, the dance between light the dark, the joy and pain. Awareness will emerge with a bit of attention/intention. Be alert to the subtleties and nuances. ***I have one spot left for tomorrow Tuesday 18th for an afternoon session. I will not be available for consults from June 19th- August 10th.
