This Week's Intention: Pull out the shadows from your heart center and give them some light. Use action steps to arrive gracefully back to your own being. Moon continues to wane this week, as we near the new Moon. The week closes with a potent new Moon and partial solar eclipse, ushering in a delicate two week period. Monday begins with Moon in the forceful nakshatra, Ardra and transiting Gemini. Ardra's ruling deity, Rudra, intensifies our mental/emotional balance. Can you feel the increase from all sides? Now, more than ever, its vital that you listen to your inner signals and watch for the manipulation of chaos. Take your power back and stand in your center, your knowing. This soft center, where your inner wisdom resides, is the place where your power can not be dismantled. Stay true to your knowing. Get grounded. After noon, Moon shifts to a softer, more sensitive nakshatra, Punarvasu. Ruling deity, Aditi, offers her all-knowing wisdom, insights and awareness that weren't previously available to us. Let her nourishment give you depth, trust and expanded knowing. There is some clean up to do. Listen to your truth. Tuesday carries forward the gentle support of Aditi as Moon continues through Punarvasu nakshatra. Late morning, Moon moves to its own sign, Cancer, joining debilitated Mars and Venus (who is now direct). All receive the gaze of Ketu, the re-structurer. Changes in relationships, heart and emotions arrive. Use the wisdom of Aditi to find compassion and release. Deep feelings can arrive over the coming days so attend to your heart and its needs diligently. When the emotional body swells, it's because it needs to release and let go. Find healthy ways to let the emotions out. If you feel ungrounded, be sure to connect with breath and body for stabilizing. Mid afternoon, Moon shifts into Pushya nakshatra, Brihaspati's domain. The interesting thing about this nakshatra is its seemingly contradictory rulers. Brihaspati is the deity who governs this lunar constellation. Essentially he is the personification of Jupiter, the expansive, nourishing, wisdom giver. However, the planetary ruler of Pushya is Saturn, the contractive, slow, grief inducing planet. As the nourishing star, this nakshatra reminds us of the importance of balance. Both expansion and contraction are vital for any real balance to be experienced. Cancer is the sign Pushya resides in, which is the seat of our emotional body and heart, and the home to our inhale and exhale. Pushya reminds us that the ultimate nourishing breath of life comes with both openings and closings. Healthy boundaries that include yes and no, being a part of this process. As Moon moves through Pushya, today and tomorrow, seek balance. Let your breath be the guide. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Pushya's theme carries us through Wednesday and it will be an especially potent reminder as the mental body tries to dominate and intensify our feelings. Late afternoon, Moon shifts into the final nakshatra of Cancer, Ashlesha. Sarpa and his illusions take hold and provoke mental body intensity. He can bring poison to the mind as well as over-confidence, lack of clarity and deception. Through these challenges, we have an opportunity to awaken and transform. Can we clarify the uncertainty, the confusion? Can we see through the smoke clouds? Can we move consciously through the territory of our mental body without succumbing to its imaginary ways? Avoid the bite of Sarpa and use the darkness for awakening. Where there is pain, there is possibility for change. A gift is hidden inside your darkness. Can you find it? Moon conjuncts debilitated Mars and Venus who is only now starting to move forward in motion. All transit Ashlesha nakshatra in close conjunction. The emotional body intensifies and requires physical grounding for safe landing. Ketu's drishti can bring confusion or awakening. You decide. Thursday Moon spends the majority of the day in Ashlesha and we continue to navigate Sarpa and his ways. Diligently track the mental body and its stories, imaginal offerings and shadowed allure. Can you stay out of its snare? The mind will be responsible for heightening any intense emotions. Land in the body for grounding, stability and embodied wisdom. As evening arrives, Moon leaps through the tricky gap between water sign (Cancer) and fire sign (Leo), causing abrupt and possibly challenging shifts in our emotional body and inner waters. Abrupt change is likely as Moon lands in Magha nakshatra (Ketu and Pitr's constellation) and into Leo. Moon joins Jupiter and Sun in Leo, while Saturn's drishti (gaze) provides contractions and constriction, as well as structure and focus. Saturn reminds us to use the somatic wisdom of the physical body as a tuning fork- especially when life feels overwhelming and un-grounded. The emotions may feel heated and frustrated in the coming days, so let your body share its needs with you. Stay cool and land in your body as much as possible, rather than boiling over. Themes with mother and father, our personal mythology and family paradigms, continue to surface. Are you using these insights for awakening? Or are you pushing away and suppressing the messages? Friday continues with Moon magnifying our sense of power and purpose. Magha and its magnificent regal gifts are offerings from the ancestors- those who have helped you arrive into life and living. We are effected by the karmas of our lineage, just as we effect the family line energetically in the future. Align with dharma and purpose. Connect with legacy and the gifts you are leaving for those who are coming next. Share your light and passion with others! Light up the world. Late evening, Moon shifts to Venus's constellation, the fruitful and sensual, Purvaphalguni. This is the honey blossom nakshatra of the zodiac. It can attract bees to nectar and offers an influx of life force, shakti, the nectar of life. It's a forceful and dominating nakshatra that can bring potent waves of passion with it. Attend to your heart and honor its exploding, amorous feelings of love. As Saturday arrives, Moon is fully situated in the 15th tithi, the final phase of the waning cycle. The silent pull of our inner world is more captivating at this time and can bring nourishment and insights. Let the gentle stirring of your inner realms guide you, follow the longings you have to go slowly, gently and intentionally right now. Purvaphalguni and its ruling deity, Bhaga, provide extreme creativity, sensuality and heart potency. Ride the passionate waves and channel this into creative activities, manifestation and inner healing. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Depending on your location, the new Moon arrives just as Saturday is ending or just as Sunday begins. My new Moon timing is Pacific Daylight, which puts the new Moon at 23:41 Saturday the 12th. Moon is in Leo and Purvaphalguni nakshatra as it completely empties, and Bhaga shares his sensuality with us as well as the power of Sun sign Leo. In many ways, the previous full Moon felt very fragile and delicate and had the essence of a new, inward Moon. This new Moon, however, has a very externalized feeling. It's fierce and powerful and perhaps more like a full Moon in its expression. The challenge of this powerful new Moon is that is coincides with a partial solar eclipse. The eclipse begins at 09:40 PDT and continues until 02:05 on Sunday the 13th. The strongest part of the eclipse occurs around 11:52 PDT on Saturday. The partial solar eclipse begins a delicate two week period that lasts until the total lunar eclipse and full Moon on September 27th. It is never advised to look at an eclipse directly nor be out while it's occurring. (This particular solar eclipse is only visible in South in Africa, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Antarctica). Eclipses are a time to meditate, follow spiritual practices, chant and adhere to rest. Leading up to the eclipse, fasting or eating lightly is traditional. The gap between eclipses is a sacred time where we must be diligent with spiritual matters and notice the messages that arrive. Traditionally, it is not a time to start new ventures or take daring or dangerous actions. It is however a time to reflect, turn inward and work consciously with our shadow parts. After all, an eclipse is showing us the shadow on our Sun or Moon qualities quite directly. The solar eclipse is a shadow to our Sun self, our inner light, the soul. In the coming waxing cycle, be diligent with your masculine energy, ego, father and personal mythology connected to these. This includes being seen, noticed and heard and the outward manifestation of our desires. In fact, manifestation is a huge part of this cycle. For some, blessings and gains may arrive with powerful force and purpose. Others may experience power struggles inside and out. Relationships take center stage. Are you in right relationship with others? This begins with having a very honest and courageous relationship with yourself first and foremost. Get aligned with who you are and what you stand for. Be bold in what you ask for and take a leap towards your power, path and purpose. Trust your inner knowing. Sunday arrives with low tides and the aftermath of eclipse shadows. Mars is now sandhi, in the gap between Cancer and Leo. This tricky gandanta is a challenging place for fire sign Mars to be. Fire leaving water after many weeks, he may feel water-logged and overly-saturated by now. Feelings are full and heavy, emotions are passionate and strong. Actions are slow and there's a sense of treading water. Don't force anything at this time. Allow space, time and deep surrender to take place within heart and mind. The Moon shifts into the latter half of the Phalguni constellation, Uttaraphalguni, just as Sunday begins. Ruling deity Aryaman, one of the twelve Adityas, provides us with resources and support. He is also connected to the ancestors- who provide us with nourishment when our actions please them. He brings sustainability in relationships and lasting support with contracts and unions. Deepen your relationship with self and others today. What new resources, support or council do you need to strengthen your connections? How can you balance giving and receiving, your power and vulnerability? Your inner and outer? Moon moves to Virgo late morning, joining Mercury and Rahu here. The mind becomes a central focus and an addictive force. As Moon tightly conjuncts Rahu today, it's vital we track the inner eclipse dynamics within. Who's in the drivers seat? Stand in your knowing and land in your heart. What shadows are playing tricks on your mind? Early Monday morning, Moon shifts into Hasta nakshatra, tighly conjuncting Mercury. The battle between thinking and feeling may be strong today. How can you find balance between these two inner forces? Let the light come in and bring the dawn. It's a new dawn, it's a new day. What are you creating? *Timing used is Pacific Standard Time Zone.

This Week's Intention: Take your lemons and make them into lemonade. Transform, change, heal. Use your creative forces. Though the Moon is waning and Mars is debilitated which truly brings our focus inward, the week starts with a certain intensity as Moon transits through Ardra nakshatra on Monday. This nakshatra is notorious for its strength and tenacity, strong emotions and stormy weather. It's ruling deity is in fact the storm god, Rudra, who brings massive change and upheaval in his wake. What movement and strides are you making today? Standing in your power or getting tossed about with the storms? As Moon continues through Gemini on Tuesday, the mental body is our predominant focus. Moon shifts into Punarvasu nakshatra mid morning, bringing a softening and awakening shift with the blessings of Aditi. She brings unification, a certain understanding and a way to work with challenges. She offers resources and abundance in order to help us be comforted. She is the mother of all and brings her nourishing and supportive ways wherever she shows up. Can you feel her cradling you in her arms? Breaking the intensity of three planets in Ketu's nakshatra, Magha, Mercury shifts into Purvaphalguni late evening. Resource from relationships in the coming days. What has to shift for greater comfort, support and stability? This is an especially potent time to do your healing homework in this area as Venus is retrograde and now at the edge of Leo in very weak degrees. Saturn's gaze intensifies the challenges and provokes suffering. What clean up needs to occur with your relationships, finances and creativity? What has been neglected, yet is suddenly returning to the foreground? Get support for this tricky junction point. There's strong potential for change in these areas of our life if we put or focus and intention here. Are you joining me for my 10 Day Embodiment + Creativity Challenge?! Receive daily inspiration for increasing creativity, joy, embodiment and inner light. Get On the List. Moon shifts into its own sign, Cancer, in the wee hours Wednesday morning, joining Sun and debilitated Mars here. All receive gaze from Ketu who provokes sparks and sudden change. Late morning, Moon moves to the nourishing star, Pushya. Nourishment comes with balance and harnessing healthy boundaries. Working with the dynamic of yes and no thoughtfully and powerfully will insure that energy is not wasted. This nakshatra provides us with doors that close and doors that open. What doors are you opening? What doors are you closing? Make you choices intentionally. Moon is now in the 14th tithi (phase) of the waning cycle and our attention is focused within. Are you making room for the inner wisdom arriving or brushing past it? Venus is at the very edge of Leo today. Relationships, finances, creativity and life force energy are weak and challenged right now. Don't push it. Retrograde Venus shifts back into Cancer on Thursday morning at 05:36, joining Moon, Sun and debilitated Mars here. The gaze of Ketu upon these planets can cause sudden changes, shifts and uncertainties to arrive. On a more spiritual note, he can provide deep awakening and flashes of insight to arrive. Venus continues its retrograde path, back into Cancer just before the new Moon. On August 13th, Venus slides back into our chest, heart and emotional body center. The planet of feeling, creativity, relationships and all things beautiful and worldly will re-adjust to the high demands of the heart and emotions until September 30th. With Sun and debilitated Mars in this sign as well, our heart is in for an emotional ride. The valves are open for an influx of water, feelings, heightened emotions and all the challenges connected to these. Home, heart, land, vehicles, mother and all fourth house matters get amplified. How do you navigate the choppy waters? Will you sink, swim or learn to float? Can you attend to the moving tides and go with the flow? Now is an excellent time to clean up and heal issues with relationships, money, creativity and emotions. Don't fight the tidal waves, but learn to swim with the currents. Moon shifts into Ashlesha nakshatra around noon and has entered the 15th tithi or phase of the waning cycle. Go slow, be intentional and listen to your depths. Sarpa, the occult and mystical serpent, can help us navigate our mental body with greater consciousness or greater illusion. Which do you choose? The Moon continues through Sarpa's nakshatra Friday morning and through the new Moon. New Moon is in its own sign of Cancer on August 14th at 07:53. The conjunction of Moon with Sun and debilitated Mars as well as retrograde Venus makes for a certain emotional body intensity. Our inner emotional tides may feel hot, agitated, fearful, driven- with a sense of challenge and conflict emerging. This theme continues for the waxing Moon cycle to come. Keep Kleenex handy and watch for sudden emotional outbursts. Are you taking out your need for safety and security on others? Or are you asking for support and resources that align with deeper nourishment? Go slow and take ample pauses to check your inner landscape. Do a four level check in for consistent tracking. Want the extended version of my New Moon Wisdom? Purchase my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar for extra cosmic insights. Get It. After noon on Friday, Moon hops into Leo and Magha nakshatra, joining another intense planetary combination. Jupiter and Mercury are in Leo as well and all receive gaze from Saturn, adding pressure and challenge, as well as the need for structure and containment. What can you let go of, release and purge on the mental and emotional bodies? The baggage you're carrying around is really heavy. The ruling planet of Leo, Sun, is now at the edge of Cancer, preparing to make the leap into its own sign. Slow and steady with your heart for now. Saturday continues with Magha and its ruling deity, Pitr, offering ancestral focus. So much of this time period right now is connected to our personal mythology, our ancestral and familial lineage patterns. Are you noticing how your insecurities and anxieties are directly connected to your family wounds? The worry is not helping. Are you ready to change these old paradigms once and for all? I'm here to support your process. Late afternoon, Moon shifts into the fertile and seductive star of Purvaphalguni. Sun and Venus are in exact conjunction right now. The heat is on! You may feel out of control, intense passion and be exta feisty. Bees are buzzing around you. Can you feel your shakti increasing or getting scorched? Watch for relationships snares. The traps have been set in advance. I'm offering a *free* new Moon Creative Ritual class on Sunday the 16th. Increase creativity and your sense of thriving. Are you on the list? The creative intensity continues on Sunday as the Moon slowly waxes. Find ways to channel your creative life force energy in constructive and healing ways. It's time to make some art and get your passion moving! Are you listening to your heart's demands? Early evening, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Phalguni constellation, UttaraPhalguni, which is ruled by the Sun and Aryaman. Take actions that support sustainability and long-term nourishment. As Sun inches to the edge of Cancer it prepares us to soften into our heart wisdom and listen carefully. What messages do you hear? Just before midnight on the 16th at 23:30, Sun leaps to its own sign, Leo, joining Jupiter, Mercury and Moon here. Saturn gives his gaze from Scorpio. This transit lasts until September 16th. For many this is a powerful month long transit that can help us move mountains, feel increased strength, help us be seen and noticed for our passion, power and drive. Working with ego, accomplishment and over-drive are warranted messages as well. Some will feel extremely challenged by the increased energy and vitality in the environment. Power issues and power struggles may feel overwhelming. Make strides with your personal development work and your outer offerings. Work with challenge honestly and confront the struggles with openness and compassion. Put your best foot forward and stand in your power. Ask for what you want and move towards your deepest desires. If you are seeking greater alignment with dharma, life purpose and your path of nourishment, it's time to take bold strides in this direction. Make hay while the Sun shines!! Dig deep to harvest your inner riches and don't waste time. Simultaneously, Mars continues its debilitation and Venus retrogrades. Pushing too hard will be counter-productive and damaging. Work with the messages that show promise and give support. Move towards greater alignment and focus. Set your intentions, make them radically clear and go for the gold. Above all, harness your inner riches and seek balance with inner and outer. *Pacific Time Zone is used for all planetary timing.

Watch, track and invite in awareness on the mental and emotional levels. Keep moving towards the nourishment of life. The week begins with a very inward feeling. Moon is in its final phase of the waning cycle and inviting us to introspect. Monday, Moon transits its exaltation sign, Taurus, with the fiery combination, Sun and Mars, and the mental body planet, Mercury. Feelings are intense, hot and passionate. The mind is stoked and forceful. With Saturn and Rahu giving their gaze, our mind and emotions get extra pressure and chaos. Creative forces are strong with Rohini nakshatra today, so channel the mental and emotional bodies intentionally. Sun jumps into Gemini mid morning, inviting in a new month of creative potential. Hours later, Mars chases the Sun into Gemini as well. Gemini represents the merging of energies, and the new, third energy that is created as a result. Metaphorically, this connects to the energy of lovers coming together, creating a "third energy" out of their unification. From an artistic perspective, Gemini can represent the artist and their medium, plus the arrival of a "third" energy- or the emerging transcendental experience. The creative energy of Gemini is unstoppable, changeable and always moving. In the coming cycle, merge and connect with new ideas and people, in order to deepen your nourishment, increase wealth and find new resources. How can you extend and expand your reach by joining forces in new ways? A certain dynamism charges us forward into this new cycle with relationships and communication being a primary source of desire. Feel, search, express- while flowing, expanding and creating new pathways. This Sun and Mars cycle will be a time of many new insights, ideas and a very strong imagination and it will give us the potential for new connections, collaborations and relationships. But in order to have space for new relationships, we must let go or loosen attachments to the old. Use writing, the hands, art and expression to get the job done. New Moon, Tuesday June 16 at 09:06 CDT while in Gemini and Mrigashirsha Nakshatra. During the New Moon, movement will be felt on the three levels of your being- mental, emotional and physical- which may invite in a sense of being pulled in too many directions. With three planets in Gemini, Sun, Moon and a sandhi Mars, all in Mrigashirsha nakshatra, a passion for change and growth will be intensifying in the upcoming waxing cycle. The new Moon is conjunct Mars and Sun- who have just arrived in this airy, creative sign known for connection and communication. As Mars and Sun chase each other into Gemini, this sparks a heat wave of creativity, communication and connectivity. Do you want more astrological details about the Moon and the coming waxing cycle? Attend to inner nourishment and vitality. Create new pathways and channels for sharing, creating and moving forward. Early evening, Moon shifts to Ardra nakshatra and an abrupt shift occurs. Notice how Rudra's energy invites in a certain intensity. How can the nourishment of Soma from earlier in the day protect you and help you keep your balance? Moon continues through Ardra on Wednesday which invites us to listen carefully to Rudra's message. Moon in Gemini and Mercury in Taurus, offer a nice exchange between Taurus and Gemini today. Find ways to express and share in order to get more nourishment and support. Get focused and clear on what you want and need. Don't let the chaos interfere with finding nourishment and support. Notice how intense emotions pulls you off from your center and undermine your self power. Track yourself intentionally today on the mental, emotional and physical levels. Trust your steps and your purpose. Early evening Moon moves to Punarvasu nakshatra and Aditi arrives. See if you feel her wisdom coming through. Midday on Thursday, Moon shifts into its own sign, Cancer, joining exalted Jupiter and Venus here, while continuing to transit Punarvasu nakshatra. Aditi brings her expansive wisdom, a unity consciousness, a feeling of oneness with her. Move towards this oneness, the unified experience of life and self. Trust the holding, the containment of spirit, to guide and protect you. We are one with all, any separateness is an illusion. Where are you feeling separate? Where are you feeling whole? As Moon shifts to Pushya nakshatra early evening, a deepening sense of this holding can offer deeper support to us. Friday is a day of nourishment, if we allow it in. As Moon moves closer to Venus today, our feeling and emotions deepen. What is underneath the waves? What is the emotional body sharing with you about support and stability? Find your rhythm with opening and closing, yes and no, as well as healthy boundaries. Balance comes when we unite the expansive and contractive energies within us. What are you opening to? What are you closing to? As evening approaches, the Moon moves to Ashlesha nakshatra, conjunct Venus and Jupiter. Ketu's drishti can bring flashes of insight and awareness. Can you catch the sparks? Themes of Balance continue during Saturday, the day dedicated to Saturn's energy. Find ways to expand, flow and invite in more ease and grace today. The breath is a perfect metaphor of opening and closing, and the continuous flow of life that it offers. Tame the unruly mind today with consistent attention to its imaginal ways. How can its stories prove to be valuable resources for unlocking your subconscious messages and programing? Get curious and ask the right questions. Ask the mental body what it wants and needs. Just before midnight, Moon leaps to Leo and Magha nakshatra. Sunday is perfect day for celebrating the father's in our lives as well as the solar qualities! Moon transits Leo (ruled by Sun) on a Sunday in the nakshatra of Magha which is dedicated to our ancestors and typically the father's side of our lineage. Saturn's drishti on the Moon shares a contractive feeling and can remind us of grievances and pains. Keep it on the sunny side while attending to any depth and sadness that arrives on the emotional body. Notice how the balancing factors of open and close from the previous days can help support this process. Summer Solstice is June 21st. This marks the beginning of summer in the Northern hemisphere, as well as the longest day of light in the year. Monday arrives with creative life force energy activated! Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Moon is waxing and full on Tuesday. This fullness carries us through the greater part of this week which we may be feeling as swelling inner tides, full emotional bodies and a general sense of being filled up. We've been working with a cosmic landscape that has grounding and expanding energies, but little to no fire due to the current nakshatras that are enlivened. We may feel as though we have a lot to do, a very full plate, yet not accomplishing tasks quickly, efficiently or effectively. As Sun shifts to Dhanishta late in the week, this should help our clarity, tenacity and focus, as well as more goal-centered activities. *** I've shifted my posts to reflect my current time zone- Pacific Standard. Please note the changes and updated time difference in regard to your own location. *** Monday, February 2nd Today's Intention: Fill your cup with the nourishment of your life and let whatever can't be contained, release. Moon transits through its own sign, Cancer, on this day of Moon (Monday) with retrograde Jupiter here as well. Both receive drishti from conjunct Sun and retrograde Mercury. The Moon's energy is swelling, full and expansive right now, entering the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waxing cycle. With Moon in Pushya nakshtra, ruled by Brihaspati and the planet Saturn, there is a refined sense of balance available, an inner and outer evenness. This comes from expand and contract energies which are working their magic on us right now. The expansive nature of Brihaspati (Jupiter deified) and Saturn (Pushya's planetary ruler) even out the excess in our life, helping us find more stability and security. A refined sense of nourishment settles in as we reflect on our deepest needs and desires. What serves us and what is not serving us? What can we clean up within our heart in order to clean up our life and properly expand in a more nourishing way? We need both opening and closing in order for the steadiness of life to support us. Tuesday, February 3rd Today's Intention: What wisdom do your illusions have to share with you? Moon collides with Jupiter as it moves into Ashlesha nakshatra at 06:59 am PST. Ashlesha is ruled by Sarpa, a serpent of the occult, mystical realms. Ashlesha nakshatra is ruled by the snake deity, Sarpa, as well as the planet Mercury. Currently Mercury is retrograde as is Jupiter, which provides us with a very powerful energetic force of returns, revisiting, and renewal at this time- if we use it intentionally. Sarpa’s energy is connected to Rahu, the shadow self, and requires us to look at parts of ourselves that are in darkness. Deception and illusion are part of Sarpa’s power and Ashlesha’s planetary ruler, Mercury, offers a connection to the mental body. This is an expansive activation day, make your steps count. This is an expansive activation day, make your steps count. The full Moon is at 17:09 CST with Moon in Cancer and Ashlesha Nakshatra. All of my special new Moon and full Moon wisdom + Creative Rituals are now being offered in my calendar only. Those who purchase my calendar will get the updates before it is released. Pre-order here and receive my full Moon Wisdom. Wednesday, February 4th Today's Intention: Activate your inner super hero. Moon hops into Leo and Magha nakshatra at 09:45 am PST, enlivening a more fierce and aggressive day then the previous. Magha's planetary ruler is Ketu, which provides an intensity like Mars, but with an added cutting, destructive nature that is usually sudden and abrupt. Pitr is the ruling deity of this nakshatra who enlivens the ancestors and our lineage matters. As Moon transits through Leo, it receives direct gaze from Mars and Venus seven houses away in Aquarius, as well as Saturn in Scorpio. Our internal waters, our emotional body, is getting a sharp refinement today. What do you need to take more control of in your life? Where do you need to step in with a bit more ego, in order to get the job done? What power and strengths do you need to activate in order to step into your dharmic work? Rise and shine. Watch for explosions- yours as well as others. Retrograde Mercury moves back into UttaraAshada nakshatra today at 20:04 PST which can help us align more thoughtfully with the Vishvadevas. These Laws of Nature, deified as the "all-gods", can help us remove obstacles that hinder our prosperity, productivity and may keep us off our path. Mercury continues its retrograde motion, moving back through Capricorn now until February 11th. Despite what many believe, retrograde cycles are not chaos cycles where life goes haywire. They are, however, cycles for us to re-trace our steps, recycle our thoughts and intentions, and to clean up any details we may have missed on the first go round. In fact, these rewind cycles are a gift! If we use these cycles intentionally, we get a chance to re-do what we may have neglected previously. Read more about retrograde Mercury cycles. The retrograde planet will determine what we are re-examining, and how that shows up for us in our life experience. Mercury is the planet that correlates to our mental body, our imaginal realms. It is the planet of communication, commerce, writing and connecting. It likes to speak, share, create and co-create. As Mercury will be walking back through Capricorn for the next three weeks, this is an ideal time to find very clear containers, structures and frames for your creativity, communication and connection. Retrograde Jupiter gives his drishti to Mercury at this time, creating a double return of old territory, including emotional body wisdom and themes connected to heart and home. Boundary work is essential right now. Think in terms of organizing all aspects of your life and tidying up old, dusty corners of you mind. If life is a closet, go to Ikea and get the proper shelving and filing systems for yourself. If the closet is the mind, get clear and organized about what "best practice" is for yourself in work, career and your life offerings. Re-commit to enlivening your dreams and making them real. Keep moving towards what makes your heart full of joy. Your passions are your life's work. Make space for them. Take intentional action steps and don't waste energy unnecessarily. Track your emotional and mental bodies for insights. Thursday, February 5th Today's Intention: Like a steam engine, let the inner heat move your inner tides. These tides can not be stopped or slowed- go full steam ahead! Moon shifts into Purvaphalguni nakshatra at 12:44 PST, and Bhaga, as well as Venus, offer an increase of resources to us. As one of the twelve Aditya's, Bhaga is centered around providing us with increases, prosperity and greater abundance, particularly through the flow of love, sensuality and pleasure. His job is to help us fall in love, to feel love, to express it and share it. He's not responsible for making it last, though. He just reminds us that it's always here for us to connect with if we so choose. And there is passion a plenty right now if we choose to dip into these fiery, abundant waters. The Mars, Venus conjunction in Aquarius, giving their direct drishti to the Moon right now, intensifies our passionate inner tides. What is moving you to action right now? What feels beyond your control? What is stirring your heart most intensely right now? Create an image of this feeling and let it remind you of its power at a later date. Sun shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra at 04:29 am PST, moving us from Sravana's expansiveness to a more refined ability to manifest on the material plane of existence- through the Vasus. The Vasu Devas are sources of illumination, and help us shine, share and be seen. When we share our light, our life force, people take notice. Like attracts like. Wealth and prosperity are attracted when we share authentically, dharmically- and when our offerings are connected to our inner light source (jyoti). The next two weeks are a time to share, shine and activate your inner light in bigger and bolder ways. Rise and shine! Make hay while this Sun shines! Themes of love and passion continue today as Moon shifts into the latter half of the fertile Phalguni stars, Uttaraphalguni, at 15:50 PST. Aryaman is the ruling deity of this part of the constellation and he is also one of the twelve Adityas who provides resources like Bhaga does. Aryaman is more concerned with sustaining love, prosperity and resources, through our effort and diligence. Because the Sun rules this nakshatra, there is a connection to light and that which brings us life. The Sun is the ultimate resource for life. Today offers powerful increases to us if we are tapped into the abundant supply of light and love flowing in and around us. Moon shifts into Virgo at 22:37 PST, joining Rahu here. Saturday, February 7th Today's Intention: Fill your plate with the essential ingredients that nourish your life. Moon transits Virgo and into Hasta nakshatra at 18:57 PST and a little more light comes our way through Savitr. Savitr is the bearer of light, the crack of light at dawn that awakens us. Rahu's conjunction with the Moon as it transits through Virgo, distorts the light though; it diffuses it, making the light appear skewed. Like a cloudy day, the Sun light is still there, but we don't see it as brightly because of the clouds. Mars gives drishti to the Moon and makes our efforts to reach towards the light more aggressive, yet it may feel daunting or challenged in some way. Yesterday it felt so easy to expand, flow, and move towards the nourishment. Today, we notice the contrast, the contraction, the titration of the love light. We can't keep expanding, or we will burst! Thus, we are reminded to move towards the essentials today on this day of contraction and effort, Saturn's day. In the smorgasbord of life, we still have to pick and choose what we put on our plate. (Hint: it will be the mental body that brings the contraction! Track it.) Sunday, February 8th Today's Intention: Awaken from your deep slumber. Yesterday's theme persists today and we continue to work with the light, with themes of awakening, trusting the light to show us the way in some new and different ways. Remember the Sun is now in Dhanishta, and the Vasus are here to assist us with increasing our light. Approaching your needs, your issues, your concerns, in a different way will provide useful, as well as your persistence and willingness. There is nourishment to be had today, nourishment from the light within. It will come in filtered doses, as though you are wearing your sunglasses, instead of squinting to see. The filtering can be useful and even help you truly see what you're looking at. Rahu can be that filter today- forcing the issues at hand, while keeping you from fully seeing, simultaneously. It's the mental body, Mercury, that you must delve into and track. Track its movements, its dances with shadow and light. These will be old steps, familiar ground, but there's something you're missing still. Be willing to keep looking within and shining your light into your own darkness. Then you can see what is holding you back. Moon shifts into Chitra nakshatra at 21:55 PST, letting Vishva Karma help us take more intentional action steps. Monday, February 9th Moon transits Chitra nakshatra, and the divine architect, Vishva Karma burst onto the scene. Suddenly action steps appear and we are building our staircase to heaven! Today, necessary action steps are clear, focused, more refined. Get stepping! My Jyotish Basics Classes have begun! Don't miss out on these transformational and healing classes. Sign up for details. We also have Mercury moving into Sagittarius, and Sun right behind him early next week. The stalemate of planets in Scorpio begins to break up, but our focus shifts now to Sagittarius, Jupiter's sign. Moon is waning now. Since we are working with the shift from water (Scorpio) into fire (Sagittarius) this week, diligence with our emotional body work is the name of the game right now! Monday, December 8th Today's Intention: Step out of your comfort zone and be nourished. Moon transits one of Rahu's nakshatras, Ardra, ruled by the powerful force, Rudra. This is a sharp star, one that has a cutting nature and can help us make executive decisions. With Rahu and Rudra behind it, there can be intense shadow involved. Worldly affairs are well suited to this nakshatra, but intense emotional upheaval is also its domain. Moon receives direct gaze from the creative (yet currently disheveled) Venus. With three planets still in Scorpio (the Moon's sign of debilitation) and Venus (water) now in the calamity provoking nakshatra Mula, this is a time to be working directly with our emotional body. Let the flood gates open and tears move out and through you. There may be ample energy used today on confronting parts of ourselves and others that are very challenging to us. Understand that the release and change will be next. Jupiter goes into retrograde motion at 14:11 CST for the next five months. He will be retrograde until April 4th, which brings us a time period of returning, and many reminders of Jupiter's offerings from the past months of his exalted passage through Cancer. His gifts will return, his wisdom, his blatant suggestions of heart nourishment, emotional well-being, and healthy boundary work- but in new, perhaps more intense ways. As with any retrograde planet, he will be acting like the nodes (Rahu and Ketu) and thus will be more dramatic in his nature. Additionally, any exalted planet that goes retrograde becomes debilitated (uccha banga). For many of us, this will be a strong identification phase in order to help us fully change and grow into new awareness and awakening. There may be issues, concerns and situations that occur with heart matters, emotional body, mother, land and vehicles in the coming months as we clean up these parts of our life. Read more about Jupiter's transit through Cancer. Moon shifts into Punarvasu nakshatra at 14:14 CST and a change is ushered in with Aditi and her cosmic resources, as well as a return of the light through the wisdom she provides. Tuesday, December 9th Today's Intention: Open your heart wisdom and let it flow like a river of nourishment. Moon continues to transit Punarvasu and moves into Cancer at 09:39 am CST, joining retrograde Jupiter there. He is now in a debilitation phase (uccha banga) and the Moon will enliven this for us today. We may notice themes coming up today that will illuminate the themes of the next few months, so pay attention and take notes. Moon receives direct gaze from an exalted Mars and Ketu now and this creates a divine intervention from MA, if not anger and rage on the surface. Underneath this is of course divine passion, so see if you can harness these flames and put them to good use without letting them burn you or others in the process. Moon shifts into Pushya nakshatra at 16:06 CST and a stronger sense of nourishment has the opportunity to arrive for us. However, we may experience a pinch first, before the milk begins to flow. Knowledge often comes with a price; the price of awakening. Exalted Mars shifts into Sravana nakshatra at 23:18 CST which is ruled by Vishnu and his expansiveness, and the Moon's tender, creativity. Mars transits through the sacred and spiritually oriented 28th nakshatra, Abhijit, which is positioned in between Uttarashada and Sravana. We will be feeling this resonance leading up to and following Mars's shift into Sravana as a result. Use this time for goal setting, getting your intentions very clear, organized and ask the divine to support you in your endeavors. The coming weeks will offer new levels of productivity, resources and dharmic pursuits for those ready to take our work to the next level. We must be willing and able to hear the messages coming to us in order to receive the support though. Make sure you take ample time to pause, deeply listen and be with your inner wisdom, in order to hear the divine whispering in your ear. Stay open minded to all possibilities at this time. Wednesday, December 10th Today's Intention: When one door closes, another one opens. Moon continues through Pushya nakshatra the majority of the day, enlivening Brihaspati (Jupiter deified) and the planet Saturn. Pushya is the nourishing star, but he does it through balance. Balance requires an evening out of what is lop sided and ultimately not serving us. Thus there is often a pinch when it occurs. Pushya brings us that balance, and the pinch, but is ultimately connected to our deep nourishment. Today is a reminder to trust the balance of life to serve us deeply and to offer us the medicine we need for long term, sustainable nourishment. Today, make embodiment and resourcing the wisdom of the body, a high priority. Moon shifts into Ashlesha nakshatra at 18:28 CST, joining a now retrograde Jupiter in this nakshatra as well. Ashlesha is ruled by Sarpa and the planet Mercury. Sarpa represents our serpent energy, rooted in our mental body essentially, and yet great healing and transformation is possible when we work directly with our mind, in order to overcome its snakey nature. Mercury is currently still transiting Scorpio, which means working with our depths is a priority right now. Thursday, December 11th Today's Intention: Shine your light into your dark corners and look for cobwebs. Moon continues to transit Ashlesha nakshatra the majority of the day and conjuncts retrograde Jupiter as well, which will have a magnifying effect on our mental and emotional bodies. With Jupiter retrograde now (and debilitated), we are being invited deep into our hearts (and mind while Jupiter is still in Ashlesha nakshatra). Use this time for healing, purifying and pulling up mental and emotional weeds. It's important to work with embodiment resources as well, and to stay grounded in the physical body as much as possible. Are you checking in with your three levels of awareness regularly? As Moon jumps into Leo and Magha nakshatra 21:16 CST, we will feel a sudden shift, impacted by Pitr and our ancestors. Moon now receives drishti from exalted Mars and Saturn. Magha is ruled by Ketu, so expect the change to come quickly- through flashes of insight, awareness or through sudden situational changes. There is some old karma working on us right now, so be aware of the work that needs to be done to address old haunts and new awakenings. With drishti of Mars and Saturn on the Moon, we get added heat and pressure on our emotional body which may make for discomfort and a sense of contraction. Pay special attention to your emotional body messages and look for the needs that are under them. Friday, December 12th Today's Intention: From their place in the light, the ancestors are urging you forward. Moon continues to transit through Magha nakshatra today. Yesterday's message of the ancestors pertains to our day. Pitr, and the ancestors are enlivened as we work with ancient karmas. Old pieces, dark matter, and shadow work is a big theme right now. Today we may feel the roots of these dark parts of ourselves very connected to our family paradigm and begin to see them more clearly. Be aware of themes that present themselves and take notes. Mercury is now sandhi, moving to the edge of Scorpio and preparing to shift into Sagittarius. This is an uncomfortable leap from a water sign into a fire sign and the mental body will likely be feeling this "out of the water, into the fire" scenario. A sharpening tenacity is coming, but for now we are still languishing in murky waters. Saturday, December 13th Today's Intention: What is the deepest form of nourishment that you desire? Go there. Moon moves into Purvaphalguni nakshatra just after midnight, enlivening Bhaga and Venus and inviting in fertility, wealth and happiness. However, with the ruling planet Venus, currently in Mula nakshatra, we will likely be feeling our lack, rather than our abundance. Keep this in mind as well as the movement of Mercury into Sagittarius, as he will be sandhi, in the gap through Sunday. Be very diligent with your physical, emotional and mental body check-ins right now in order to strengthen your attention and intention on your needs. Self care is non-negotiable. Moon is being touched by both Mars and Saturn as it transits Leo which adds heat and pressure, as well as a heightened emotional frustration to our experience. I will be starting my self-care challenge tomorrow to offer reminders. Make sure you're on my newsletter list. Mercury jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 03:26 am CST, moving through the very tricky gandanta junction of Scorpio (water) into Sagittarius (fire). The added intensity of this transit is that all planets that move through this gandanta shift from Jyeshtha nakshatra (Indra's domain), into Mula nakshatra (Nirrti's domain). Indra is connected to dharma, strength and the refining of the senses. Nirrti is a disheveled goddess, who brings chaos, calamity and misfortune. She moves us away from dharma through fear, danger and death as well as going against the Laws of Nature. Her husband is Adharma, the god that takes us away from dharma. Mula can be a very spiritual nakshatra- one that pulls up the necessary weeds on our path, in order for us to ultimately see more clearly. This does not come with ease and grace however. Venus has already made this challenging leap, and continues to transit Mula until December 16th. Mercury will be in Mula until the 21st. Sun makes the challenging leap from Scorpio to Sagittarius on the 15th and stays in Mula until the 28th. The intensity of all this change and transformation will climax with the new Moon on winter Solstice, the 21st. This new Moon will occur in Mula nakshatra, heightening the emptiness, the release and the transformation of this time. A massively transformational way to end 2014. As we continue to feel the chain reaction of planets filing into Sagittarius, passing through this challenging gandanta, remind yourself that this is a time of deep uprooting, forced change, crazy making, and chaos. The end result will provide a very different landscape for each of us, but for now, we must continue to till our soil. Through the end of December, be conscious of the many changes occurring within you and around you. Make purposeful intentions for your coming year and ground into the knowing that this too shall pass, and another cycle of growth and renewal will arrive with greater balance. Sunday, December 14th Today's Intention: Pick your fruits, but pick them wisely. Moon moves to Uttaraphalguni at 03:21 am CST, inviting in Aryaman and the Sun into our day. The ancestors are invited into our awareness, as well as nourishment that makes harmony last- especially in our relationships. Dive deep today and seek the pieces you need for contentment, fruitful and nourishing endeavors, as well as what will strengthen the relationship with your self and others. Make self care a priority right now and continue to be alert to what is nourishing you and what is not. This is a time of radical release, so let go of what is not aligned with your deepest needs. As Moon shifts into Virgo at 10:06 am CST, he joins Rahu there and receives gaze from Ketu. Work with your shadows intentionally today. Our emotional body intelligence is moving straight into the shadows for the coming days so be willing to dance with your darkness in more conscious ways at this time. Look for the gifts. I am starting my self-care challenge tomorrow to offer reminders. Make sure you're on my newsletter list. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me.
