Moon Mind
10.11 & 10.12 Today (10.11) Moon transits Sagittarius in PurvaAshada nakshatra until 21:16 CDT when it then moves to UttaraAshada nakshatra (until 19:50 CDT tomorrow). The day moves with the essence of purification, gaining clarity and cleansing since Apas, the water goddess, rules the day. Later in the evening and tomorrow, Vishvadeva comes into focus and our attention moves towards being seen, shining, our moral standards and navigating "good character" and ethics. Watch for self-righteousness or overly aggressive agendas. Be mindful of the spectrum of needs and how others may be effected with your behavior. Dream your dreams and take action oriented steps towards your dharma. Think outside of the box and get creative. Moon moves to Sravana and into Capricorn on 10.12 where Vishnu brings his expansive qualities to us. Gaining wisdom and awareness rules the day, yet it may come with the essence of expansion and contraction, restriction and unfolding. Use today for meditation, yoga, structured activities that help serve your awareness. Listen carefully and move towards dharma. Trust the process and the steps you are taking to make your desires manifest. Notice this weekend how the goddess of wisdom, creativity, art and knowledge is subtly effecting you and your environment. Saraswati brings her blessings to us during this time. Give your gratitude and respect, offer your prayers and desires, light your altar fire. Bring her beauty out and bring her beauty within. Let her nurture your heart song. Sing your praises and dance your dance. Moon Mind :::
Tuesday, 8.20 Moon spends the majority of the day in Capricorn in Dhanishta nakshatra but moves to Aquarius at 13:58 CDT. Dhanishta is ruled by Vasudeva and the planet Mars, while Moon will be transiting the 15th tithi, ruled by Saturn. Tuesday is the day of Mars. We get an energetic mix that requires care, sensitivity and patience. Watch for excessive emotion- especially anger. Be careful with cars and while driving. Be mindful of women and your relationships with them. Take time for self care. Full Moon is in Aquarius on 8.20 at 20:44 CDT and will be in Dhanishta nakshatra. Use this time to shine and be seen, but don't be surprised if it is on an introverted level. Emotions can run amok so guard your sensitivity and need for sacred space if necessary. This is a day for Vasudeva's mantra: Aum Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya Moon transit report for the week of 5.27 :::
Moon moves through Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and into Pisces. Moon is in the Dark half (waning) this week. Personal energy continues to move inward and the need for silence, rest and restoration increases. This is a "pull back the arrow" kind of week. This is a momentous week for planetary shifts; a lot of changes in energy will be felt as a result- especially on the levels of the mental, creativity, and wisdom. Mercury enters Gemini (its own sign) on 5.27 at 13:57 CDT. This transit is good for matters of the mind, communication and creativity. Venus moves to Gemini in the wee hours of the morning on 5.29 at 00:06 CDT. Mental creativity is sparked. Jupiter moves to Gemini on 5.30 at 18:34 CDT. This year long transit marks a huge shift in creative potential and growth. (Please see my article for further details). Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are all transiting Mrigashirsha nakshatra at this time- until Mercury moves to Ardra later in the week and Venus follows next week. For now, the focus is on nourishment and extreme creative potential. Maximize this. In lieu of horoscopes this week, look to my Jupiter article for personal insights for the upcoming year. Likely you are already feeling these changes, which are being activated by the planetary shifts happening this week with Mercury and Venus as well. Wondering how this upcoming Jupiter transit may effect you? Is it time for some Jyotish insights? Book your consult with me now for greater clarity on the big changes that are coming with Jupiter. I still have a few openings in the next few weeks for sessions before I leave for my summer travels to Europe. I will not be available for consults from June 19th- August 10th. swatijrjyotish@gmail.com Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
05.02.13 Moon is waning (dark half) and transits Capricorn. It moves from Sravana nakshatra to Dhanishta at 15:11 CST. Sravana is ruled by Vishnu (as well as the Moon) and is connected to expansion and all-pervasiveness. Vishnu is everywhere like akasha (space) and he upholds dharma. Dharma is upheld by knowledge which is transmitted through akasha. A three-in-one quality exists here. Similarly, Vishnu took three steps to traverse "the three realms"- earth, sky (cosmos) and heaven (universe). Two of these steps are visible, but the third is beyond the vision of mortals or animals. There are also three symbols for Sravana- three footprints (in reference to traversing three realms), a trident (Vishnu's power) and an ear (the transfer of dharma through akasha as well as the oral tradition). Sravana can bring fame, notoriety, expansion of consciousness, dharmic pursuits, positions of power and fortune. Not surprisingly, it is a moveable nakshatra but ephemeral- it easily changes its nature. It is a constellation that can benefit one's own welfare as well as others. Today there is powerful movement and change likely. With Moon in Capricorn, a sign ruled by Saturn who is currently sitting with Rahu in Libra, the Rudra energy of these planet's dynamic comes into play for today. Mars rules Capricorn as well and is currently conjunct Venus (now sandhi- in weak degrees), and Ketu, Sun and Mercury- all in Aries. (Check this week's horoscopes to see the tendencies of this impact on your rising sign). The mind and intuition will be stirred. Which way will the winds take you? Aim for expansion, focused awareness, and dharmic pursuits. Connect with mind, body and spirit. Utilize yoga, pranayama and meditation for harmonizing the physical body, mental body and emotional body. |
