This Week's Intention: Unfurl your wings and stretch them wide. Find ways to broaden and expand your reach. Moon continues to swell and wax as our inner waters amplify with the rising tides. Past the half way mark of the lunar cycle now, Moon moves into the tenth tithi (phase) on Monday. Mercury is now exalted in Virgo, conjunct Rahu. Are you feeling the increase in communication, connection and creativity yet? Sun and Jupiter continue to track each other closely this week. Watch for soul burn and move towards the light. Venus and Mars are also closely conjunct this week in Cancer. Feel your heart wisdom, even if it hurts. The week begins with a debilitated Moon in Scorpio, leaving conjunction with Saturn. Indra rules the day until Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra Monday afternoon. The day of Moon (Monday) requires that we tend to our sensitivity as well as our senses. Are you being ruled by your wild horses or are you holding the reigns? Once Moon enters Mula nakshatra, attending to our inner wisdom is of the utmost importance. Jupiter's gaze offers extra nourishment and support but Mula's ruling deity, Nirrti, arrives with her chaos, sudden change and calamity. Her dark forces can keep us from aligning with our path and purpose as she is adharmic in nature. Are you seeking resources to align with your higher purpose? Are you a part of the chaos or able to stand in the center of the storm? Resource from the wisdom of the physical body. It's the only thing that will bring you back to the now. Tuesday, Nirrti and her sharp, cutting nature, continue to rule the first part of the day. Underneath her darkness, depth and spirituality can be accessed. Can you feel the other option, or are you caught in the challenge? Just after noon, Moon shifts to a fierce and severe nakshatra, PurvaAshada, and its ruling deity, Apas, brings another type of force with her. Today is yet another opportunity for change and transformation but this one comes with water and arrives through deep cleansing. Let water assist you with this process. Get into water, walk near it, allow the rain- in the form of tears if not from Nature herself. Jupiter and Sun are in exact conjunction. Cleanse your heart and soul! Let wisdom and truth be your power source! Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! Don't miss my online Creativity + Embodiment Immersion. Get the Details. Just before noon on Wednesday, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttaraAshada. This star is fixed and stable, allowing nourishing sustainable activities to take hold. The Vishva Devas provide their universal goodness and help us align with the Laws of Nature in dynamic and powerful ways. Align with dharma, truth and positivity. Use gratitude to soften the heart. Shine, share and be seen for your purity and do good deeds. Early evening, Moon jumps to the hard working and tenacious, Capricorn. Saturn, Rahu, Mars and Venus give their gaze to the soft and tender Moon. Allow time to land and be with your feeling body. Work to soften your hard edges over the next few days. Early Thursday morning, Moon moves to a sacred constellation that is gently tucked in between UttaraAshada and Sravana nakshatra. This little known 28th nakshatra is called Abhijit and only covers about four degrees. This is a good time for prayer, meditation, setting intentions and being close to spirit. This time period will be from about 04:30 to 10:30, just before Moon shifts to Sravana nakshatra. Sravana nakshatra and its ruling deity, Vishnu, helps us align with the expansive forces of the universe. His purpose is to move us towards dharma and help us hear the wisdom being whispered in our ear from heaven, to the cosmos and back to earth. Listen carefully today and let your desires be known. Align your steps with life purpose and inner power. Jupiter and Sun are still tightly conjunct. Tend to your inner wisdom and let the power of the Sun burn away the impurities within you. If you're feeling the discomfort, open and awaken through gratitude and keep your body cool with Pitta pacifying foods and actions. Midmorning Friday, Moon shifts to Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas bring us increased light or Jyoti. Sharing from your heart will prove the most valuable resource today. Be soft, focused and let the power of your heart wisdom be your spokesperson. Align and shine! Express, share and give your positive message to the world. What words of wisdom can you offer your tribe? Early evening Moon shifts to Saturn's other sign, Aquarius, where it receives the hot gaze Jupiter, Sun and Mars. Moon also moves into the 15th and final tithi (phase) at this time. Stay focused but don't get burned out or fried in the process. Are you pushing too hard? As Mercury closely conjuncts Rahu the mental body also intensifies. Shadow or strength? Illusion or awakening? The mental and emotional bodies are extra powerful right now- watch how you use them. Before sunrise on Saturday, Moon arrives into Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna's domain. Our health and wellness becomes a top priority during this high tide time. Full Moon is Saturday, August 29th at 11:34 Pacific Time. Moon is in Aquarius and Satabisha Nakshatra. Healing arrives with this full Moon, yet comes with a certain edge and harshness simultaneously. Satabisha nakshatra is ruled by Varuna, the guardian of Natural Law and right action. Nothing gets past his thousands of eyes that see everything. Satabisha can help us work with boundaries and our resistance. What is your relationship with inner and outer boundaries- physical and energetic? Let this full Moon be one of intentional healing- especially for the mental body. Get resourced, nourished and attend to self care diligently. Use this wisdom to guide you through the coming waning cycle. Attend and attune to sacred healing. Want the extended version of my New Moon Wisdom? Purchase my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar for extra cosmic insights. Get It. The close conjunction of exalted Mercury and Rahu continues. Attend to your mental body and be diligent with its stories, messages, memories and imaginal realms. Are you feeding it or aligning with its magical support? Using its amplification for change and healing or letting it run wild with you through illusion and delusion? Self track and get on top of it. In the early hours of Sunday morning, Moon arrives in the light and graceful nakshatra, Purvabhadra. Ajaikapada is the ruling deity, who helps us balance seemingly impossible tasks with ease and steadiness. Often he is referred to as a form of Shiva, Lord of the Dance. He steps between worlds, realms and dimensions, sharing depth, strength and purpose when he arrives. Let the wisdom come too, but let it enter from the body. What can your body-mind tell you about grounding and landing in the now? Before you jump forward, into the next cycle, day or moment, stop here, be present, be in the now. Use your feet to help you land and find your anchor. Moon shifts to Pisces early evening, joining Ketu. Both receive the intense mental body gaze of Mercury and Rahu. Find your release, letting go and deepen your surrender. Mars and Venus are closely conjunct right now. Soften to your heart wisdom and allow deep release. Tears and emotional body waves are a necessary part of this process. Let them out. Just before midnight, Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada constellation, Uttarabhadra. Ruling deity, Ahirbudhnya, serpent of the netherworlds, helps us access our hidden, inner wisdom. It's there, can you find it? It's the hidden, dark and mysterious kind. It will come in flashes- suddenly provoking insight and shifts in perception. If your third eye is closed, you'll miss it. Let Monday continue to offer its awakening support. Keep looking and you'll find what you are seeking. *Timing used is Pacific Standard Time Zone. Ready to take your creative potential and turn it into a life of thriving?! It's a full Moon week ahead! Tides are high and feelings are amplified. Stay grounded in the physical body and take careful steps. Monday, the week begins with a debilitated Moon in Scorpio while in the friendly star of Anuradha. Details, details, details! Don't get lost in the minute intricacies or you will lose the ability to see the big picture. Connect with friends and do something to help sustain old friendships and relationships. Don't be nit picky! As Moon shifts to Jyeshta, sensitivities increase. Stay calm and be inward. Tuesday continues our connection to Jyeshta and Indra, who offers sensorial delights or overwhelm, depending on how grounded we are. What can you do to land back in your body? As Moon leaps into Sagittarius late in the day, the dark goddess, Nirrti, brings a sudden shifts and changes connected to releasing and letting go. What are you gripping and holding too tightly? Where can you find more release and letting go? Nirrti continues to stir themes of chaos and transformation throughout Wednesday, helping us to let go of our deep attachments. Not sure if you are resisting change? Look for the chaos! She is forcing you to let go and find a deep release where you are holding on too tightly. Let it go, let it flow. As Moon shifts to PurvaAshada late in the day, the full Moon arrives and our inner tides swell, helping us find emotional body release through tears and intense feelings. Let it out. Full Moon, Wednesday, July 1st 21:18 CDT while Moon is in Sagittarius and PurvaAshada Nakshatra. Multiple planets are poised for change as Moon transits Jupiter’s sign, Sagittarius, during the full Moon. Feelings and the emotional body are strong as our inner tides swell with intensity. There is a desperate search for answers, solutions and resolution at this time, yet a profound sense of support can be felt if you are receptive enough to receive the messages. Keep moving towards the nourishment and grounding. Ask for ease and graceful steps. As you tap into your sensitivity, take stock of your need for connection, relationship and love. It’s important to be clear on how your relationships serve you and also which one’s may need to be let go. This cycle will help you clarify and release those that are harmful, while helping you attract what you do need for increased support and well being. Trust your emotional body to share its messages with you. If it doesn’t feel nourishing, there’s a reason. Listen carefully. The water goddess who rules over PurvaAshada, Apas, insures deep feelings and movement of our inner waters at the time of the full Moon and during this waning cycle. As we let the tears out, a certain cleansing and purification is found, rejuvenating the physical, mental and emotional bodies. Water is a powerful cleaning and clearing force so attend vigilantly to your inner waters and tide pools. Allow yourself to spend plenty of time in and around water during the full Moon, and in the coming cycle so that you can maximize the effects of Apas and her rejuvenating gifts. Do you want more astrological details about the Moon and the coming waxing cycle? Use my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar to track the powerful cosmic themes ahead. Part 2 is here!! Track the Moon Late afternoon Thursday, the Moon moves to the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttaraAshada, the domain of the Vishva Devas and then enters Capricorn late in the evening. Multiple gazes effect the Moon as it moves through Capricorn. Saturn, Rahu, Mars, Jupiter and Venus each look at the Moon, providing a brew of intensity, power and changing emotions. Can you feel the heat, confusion and strong inner tides within? Stay grounded in the physical body and its sensations. Track, watch and allow the emotions to shift. Midday on Friday, Moon shifts to Sravana nakshatra, Vishnu’s domain and a certain expansive quality sets in. Vishnu provides movement, openings and expanded awareness. Listen intently to messages and omens that arrive, especially those that give answers for your life purpose and dharma. Venus and Jupiter are both approaching the edge of Cancer, while Mercury sits at the edge of Taurus. These planets are preparing us for dramatic changes in our mental and emotional landscape. Track the wisdom coming forth. Saturday is Independence Day in the United States. It’s the day of Saturn and Moon transits Saturn’s sign, Capricorn, where Mars is considered exalted. Moon enters a Mars nakshatra, Dhanishta, late morning, and the Vasu Devas bring their brilliance to our day. They bring the light, as well as wealth, shining and being seen. How hard are you pushing? Who’s running the show? You or your ego? Check yourself. Venus moves to Leo at 20:38 on the 4th. The planet of relationships, creativity, and artistry is also connected to all things feminine. It offers beauty, fluidity, wealth and life giving powers, most essentially, shakti. Worldly comforts and resources can increase through Venus's benevolence and help us feel more stable in material ways. As Venus moves through Leo, we can expect passions to increase for relationships and connection, while strong desires may emerge. Expect intensified strength, determination and power to materialize, while aggression and agitation increase. The transit of Venus through Leo is the instigation of an unfolding theme that is ripening within the planets right now. Working with power and authority dynamics is vital, especially the masculine energy within you. Notice where you are pushing, using excessive force and using an overactive drive to accomplish and succeed. Take time to contemplate the meaning of success from different angles. Your ego may feel challenged by this. How can you soften your action steps? Where can you let go and surrender more? How can you be a winner- on all levels of life? Just before midnight, on the heels of Venus changing signs, Mercury moves to its own sign, Gemini, at 23:34. Mercury joins Sun and Mars in the sign of communication and co-creation, leaving behind the shadowed gaze of Rahu. Mercury is the indicator of the mental body, the mind, imagination and the stories we create through thought. Though Mercury feels very comfortable and secure in Gemini, the heat of Sun and Mars can cause agitation and aggressive tendencies. As he conjuncts the two hottest planets, the mind heats up and has the potential to get scorched. Are you in warrior mode? Where can you pull back? Too many irons in the fire? It's really a time to cool off and focus only on the essentials. You can't keep running on pure adrenalin or burn out is surely on its way. Remember that the focus of a warrior is highly skilled and very useful for success with clear goals and agendas. However, warriors aren't trained to think think, they just act and carry out orders. It will take more than actions to get what you really need in this cycle. Reign in your task master and spend more time leisurely enjoying nature, being outside and having simple pleasures. Moon moves to Aquarius late evening, another sign of Saturn, and steps out of the gaze of multiple planets. Venus, however, gives his direct gaze now from Leo. Move towards connection and creation, while thinking outside the box. The Vasu devas continue to shine until late Sunday morning when Moon shifts to Satabisha nakshatra. The domain of Varuna always brings a certain containment and contraction. Where do you notice yourself closing, shutting down and feeling restricted? Look for these signs as they are messages from your shadow parts that desire your attention. This harsh edge carries us through Monday morning. Let the message of healing arrive and listen carefully. *Calculations are based on Pacific Time Zone. This Week's Intention: Move, change, flow. Channel the high tides within carefully and intentionally. Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me.

This Week's Intention: Turn your attention inward and find the gems you seek within. Monday begins with a ripe Moon perched at the edge of Libra and shifts into its debilitation sign, Scorpio, just after midnight. Moon transits Vishaka nakshatra, the two branches, symbolizing a gateway of triumph. This dual ruled nakshatra contains the wisdom of Indra and Agni, who offers success through collaboration and co-creation. Two heads are better than one. Use this metaphor to find greater support today. As Moon shifts into Anuradha nakshatra late morning, this theme continues to emerge with the "friendly star." Ruling deity, Mitra, can bring us connections and support through friendships and alliances. We may also feel challenges from the same as Moon conjuncts contractive Saturn as well. Sensitivity abounds! And though the Moon is almost full, it's actually a very tender, inward Moon which invokes self care and attention to vulnerability. Tuesday ushers in a full Moon at 09:18 PDT while Moon is in Scorpio and Jyestha Nakshatra. Jyestha nakshatra is ruled by Indra, the king of the gods. He is responsible for releasing the water from the clouds, allowing it to rain, often using his weapon of choice, the thunderbolt. Indra rules our senses and reminds us to use discernment with them, rather than being ruled by all of our urges and desires. Much like the clouds, our tears are released and are a cleansing offering of Indra as well. Scorpio is the Moon's debilitation sign and because Moon will also be conjunct retrograde Saturn at the time of the full Moon, themes for the coming cycle invite certain pressures- which can intensify the emotional body effects we experience. This combination however will provide deep release, like a valve that needs to be opened, inviting in a sense of letting go and waves of grief to surface. As the Moon begins to wane on Tuesday, our reflection continues to turn inward and reminders, imagery and ideas from the past resurface. What pieces need to be responded to? Which ones need to be released? Do you want more astrological details about the new Moon and the coming cycle? Use my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar to learn more about the cosmic themes. Learn More. Moon jumps to Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra early Wednesday morning, inviting in Nirriti's chaos and calamity. She helps us become unbounded, to release where we are holding on too tightly. Expect the unexpected with the dark goddess emerging today. Sudden, unexpected shifts arrive. Where are we holding on when we should be letting go? What space can we create with a deeper release? Today is well suited to gentle cleansing, releasing and rejuvenation practices. Rest, restore and relax but don't push or force actions and outcomes. Thursday morning Moon shifts into PurvAshada nakshatra, inviting Apas to rule over the day. As the water goddess, she provides purification, as well as deep feelings and continuous movement. Mars gives his drishti to the Moon today, offering both fierce anger and passion, while simultaneously giving us an opportunity for deeper connection to MA if we listen carefully. There is a certain sensitivity today and deep feelings are available to us. How do these feelings move you and stir you to respond? Thursday is the last chance to join my Jyotish Basics Classes for June! The focus of the month is Money and Wealth. Ready to increase your financial stability and change your relationship with money? Join me for classes. Moon dips into the latter half of the Ashada constellation, UttarAshada, Friday morning and the Vishva Devas are enlivened. The symbol of this nakshatra is an elephant tusk which denotes a certain connection to Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. This is a softer, gentler star than PurvAshada, and its aim is for support and assistance. Where can you allow more support into your life? How does it show up? As Moon shifts into Capricorn midday, he moves to Saturn's sign and receives his drishti as well. Rahu, Jupiter and Venus also give their gaze, providing increases, changes, expansion and contraction. Can you go with the flow? Early Saturday morning, Moon moves into Sravana, Vishnu's territory. Vishnu is intimately connected to hearing and the transmission of information, especially the sacred variety. Like akasha, space, he is everywhere. What are you expanding towards today? The wisdom you seek is seeking you. Soak it up. As Sunday begins, Moon moves to Dhanishta nakshatra and the Vasu Devas are enlivened. These Devatas help us find the rhythm of life, our own beat. The symbol here is a drum, which physically connects us to the pulse, the heartbeat within us as well as the pulse of life. What beat are you hearing and connecting to? How are you connecting to the pulse of life today? Moon shifts to Aquarius late afternoon, a Saturn ruled sign, but out of the gaze of the other planets. Let yourself dance to your own rhythm, your own beat. Monday begins with Moon shifting into Satabisha nakshatra, Varuna's domain. His symbol is an empty circle and he is connected to restraint. Varuna brings strong resistance at times but may be helpful with creating healthy boundaries. Are you resisting or avoiding? Are you conscious of this or pushing vital nourishment away? *Time zone used for calculations is in Pacific Daylight Time unless otherwise noted.

Please share it with a friend! Thank you. The week begins with a deep, waning Moon. New Moon is Tuesday morning while in Capricorn. Capricorn is the center of attention right now and presents us with themes for the coming waxing cycle. Read more here. Two big shifts this week- Mercury goes retrograde and Venus moves to Aquarius. Later in the week, Aquarius asks for our attention as Venus moves to this sign, where Mars is already, and Moon passes through as well. Monday, January 19th Today's Intention: Purify, cleanse and restore. As Moon continues to transit Sagittarius and PurvaAshada nakshatra, there is a deepening of release happening. Let the release come through purifying and cleansing practices, through ritual and sacred acts. Use water and the emotional body tides to inspire the purification process. Be gentle and nourishing to yourself and others today. Do so by listening deeply to your emotional body wisdom. Moon enters the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waning cycle, and shifts into UttaraAshada nakshatra at 16:04 CST, inviting in the Vishva Devas and a strong sense of integrity. What drives you and motivates you to be the best you? What are the best parts of yourself that you wish to share with the world? Tuesday, January 20th Today's Intention: Get clear and get focused, but don't forget to leave room for daydreams. Moon transits Capricorn and UttaraAshada nakshatra with Sun, Mercury and Venus in Capricorn as well. Rahu, Jupiter and Saturn all give their drishti to these four planets. Feeling pulled in too many directions? Too many irons in the fire? The hardest thing to do right now is simplify. Do your best. New Moon is at 07:14 am CST while in Capricorn and UttaraAshada. This is a very powerful new Moon with strong Capricorn themes. Strong creativity is available to us and can be maximized with a strong, clear and direct channel. Give your creativity purpose and clarity and you can enlarge what is possible for your self. This is a time where we are learning to direct our flow. Read more about this new Moon and the intention for the coming waxing cycle. Moon shifts into Sravana nakshatra at 13:28 CST, enlivening Vishnu and his expansiveness. Mercury is here as well, which invites in creative expansion from the mental body level. Let the mind, the imagination, expand your life vision, your sense of purpose and dharma. Solidify your intention and expand your container of what is possible for yourself. Wednesday, January 21st Today's Intention: Your only job is to share your life light. Mercury goes retrograde at 09:51 am CST and will be moving back through Capricorn now until February 11th. Despite what many believe, retrograde cycles are not chaos cycles where life goes haywire. They are, however, cycles for us to re-trace our steps, recycle our thoughts and intentions, and to clean up any details we may have missed on the first go round. In fact, these rewind cycles are a gift! If we use these cycles intentionally, we get a chance to re-do what we may have neglected previously. Read more about retrograde Mercury cycles. The retrograde planet will determine what we are re-examining, and how that shows up for us in our life experience. Mercury is the planet that correlates to our mental body, our imaginal realms. It is the planet of communication, commerce, writing and connecting. It likes to speak, share, create and co-create. As Mercury will be walking back through Capricorn for the next three weeks, this is an ideal time to find very clear containers, structures and frames for your creativity, communication and connection. Retrograde Jupiter gives his drishti to Mercury at this time, creating a double return of old territory, including emotional body wisdom and themes connected to heart and home. Boundary work is essential right now. Think in terms of organizing all aspects of your life and tidying up old, dusty corners of you mind. If life is a closet, go to Ikea and get the proper shelving and filing systems for yourself. If the closet is the mind, get clear and organized about what "best practice" is for yourself in work, career and your life offerings. Re-commit to enlivening your dreams and making them real. Keep moving towards what makes your heart full of joy. Your passions are your life's work. Make space for them. Take intentional action steps and don't waste energy unnecessarily. Track your emotional and mental bodies for insights. Shortly after Mercury goes retrograde, Moon shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra at 10:42 am CST, home of the Vasu Devas, the shining stars. Creativity, light and sharing one's light are all assisted by the Vasu Devas. As we shine our light, our innate gifts and dharmic purpose, we gain and acquire increased support and assistance, abundance and prosperity. Authentically offering one's inner light, attracts more of the same. We can give thanks to the Vasu Devas for their support with this shining process. Today, re-visit your life message, your light message, what makes life worth living. Hone your intention for being alive. Moon moves to Aquarius at 21:19 CST, joining Mars here. Thursday, January 22nd Today's Intention: Look for sparks and let them inspire your healing. Moon is waxing now and enters the third tithi (tritiya) today. As Moon moves into Satabisha nakshatra at 07:57 am CST, Varuna and Rahu are enlivened. Moon conjoins Mars in Aquarius which intensifies our emotional body experience with a range of feelings from agitation and anger, to passion and ferocity. Varuna can provoke a deep inner awareness and help us align more intentionally with the Laws of Nature. Emotional body depth is increased today, so utilize this for greater awareness about your needs. Allow the emotional body to intensify your inner vision more deeply. Harvest your findings and extract them for healing. What do your emotions tell you about what is working in your life? What do they tell you is not working? What or who, is the emotion directed towards? What is the underlying need for nourishment and support under this emotion? Seek the wisdom of your inner tides and use this to spark increased consciousness, depth and healing. Or you could just stay angry. Need a step by step ritual to help you identify what you need? Do a three level check in. Venus moves to Aquarius at 14:30 CST, joining Moon and Mars here as well. With Venus transiting Dhanishta nakshatra still (a Mars ruled star) there is an increased sense of passion and intensity with all things creative, relational and feminine today. Bottle this and dole it out slowly in the coming weeks! Venus chases Mars through Aquarius for the next three weeks before Mars moves into Pisces on February 11th. This combination makes for a fire and water dance that can help us intensify our passion, or help us get burned by it. The way to work with this energy is to channel it into proper containers- unique, new and different types of containers. This is an opportunity for us to maximize our creativity, to increase our passion, and to ignite our desires. How we use this heightened passion is really important. Do we use it to awaken? Or do we let our creative energy go off like a firecracker, then dissolve into burn out? Relationships may come on strong at this time so direct the flow of love and channel it intentionally. Let all love flow to the heart. Even the strictly second chakra kind! Friday, January 23rd Today's Intention: Walking leads to dancing. Do both. Moon shifts into PurvaBhadrapada nakshatra at 05:25 am CST and Ajaikapada and Jupiter rise into our day. Ajaikapada is a Rudra, which means he has immense strength and power. He stands on on one leg- one foot firmly grounded, the other one in the air poised and ready to step. Symbolically, one foot is here, while the other is in another realm. This nakshatra has to do with endings, transformations, and the purification that occurs during this process. It is not the easy part, but the necessary part. When life feels challenging, like it's a struggle, it is usually because we've outgrown some old aspect of ourselves. Every ending leads to a new beginning. As the saying goes, when you're walking through hell, just keep walking. Today, step intentionally and invite in your new sacred dance. It is the day of Venus (Friday) and Venus is in young degrees, having newly entered Aquarius. Be gentle with your relationships today and attend to self care needs through creativity, dance and nature. Ground through the creative and sync up with your inner waters. Moon is waxing and shifts into the 5th tithi (lunar phase) late in the evening. This marks the first third of the waxing cycle. Moon moves to Pisces at 21:43 CST. Saturday, January 24th Today's Intention: Heal and transform by deeply letting go. Moon shifts to the latter half of the Bhadrapada stars at 03:12 am CST, enlivening UttaraBhadrapada and Ahirbudhnya, the serpent of the deep. This serpent energy helps us go beyond the surface, to explore parts of ourselves that may go unnoticed or unattended. The symbol of the Bhadrapadas is the funeral cot. As the latter half of this constellation, UttaraBhadrapada rules over the back half of the funeral cot, or the final letting go. There is some release possible today, if we are willing to go deep into our subconscious, our mental body, for further inquiry. With retrograde Mercury well under way, now is the time to be intentional with re-visiting your old, outworn thinking patterns. As Saturn rules the day and this nakshatra, using the physical body to help you access your inner depths will be extra potent. Use gentle movement and embodiment practices to help you get there. Sun moves to Sravana nakshatra at 03:17 am CST, joining a tight conjunction with retrograde Mercury there as well. The themes for the coming week are all expansion oriented- on the level of consciousness. Think bigger, and life gets bigger. It's our mental body, our imaginal realm, that can help us create the unseen into manifest form. With this tight conjunction occurring, don't let mental frazzle get the best of you. Mentally fried? It's a good time to meditate, dive deeply, and restore. Then use the clarity to get task oriented and fully organized. Take this reminder into your coming week. Sunday, January 25th Today's Intention: Lead yourself back to the nourishment that's already within you. Moon moves to Revati nakshatra at 01:28 am CST, the final nakshatra in the cosmic wheel, before we start a new cycle. Revati is a nourishing star that provides us with safe and fruitful journey's. Its ruling deity is Pushan, who helps us prosper by leading us back to our flock, back to our path, when we stray. He leads us to the nourishment, the essential ingredients for success. I liken Pushan to our intuition. When we have a strong connection to our intuitive knowing, we can trust ourselves, our choices, our actions, and the universe to provide exactly what we need. Let today inspire this gentle attention to your intuitive wisdom by allowing space for the emotional body to share with you. The mental body will be strong and sharp, with an agenda all of its own. The trick today is to go beyond this and to listen to the wisdom coming from your emotions instead. What nourishment can you gather from this place of deep listening? What does your emotional body share with you about your needs? Do a three level check in for clues. Monday, January 26th Just minutes after midnight, Moon hops into Aries and Ashwini nakshatra, inviting in the Ashvini Kumara twins. They offer us healing, rejuvenation and increased creativity as a result. Take action steps today that offer healing and restoration to you. The week begins with a waning Moon, and a sandhi Sun, just leaving Sagittarius. Mercury and Venus are in close conjunction in Capricorn, enticing us with immense creativity and increased creative flow. While Jupiter, Rahu and Saturn offer their drishti to these planets, intensifying our efforts of expansion, containment and focus. Monday, January 12th Today's intention: The light increases with your conscious, constructive efforts. Moon transits Virgo and Hasta nakshatra, letting in the light of Savitr as the week begins. These are worthy desires, just make sure the cravings are balanced. Mercury and Venus are in exact conjunct in Capricorn receiving drishti from Jupiter, Saturn, and Rahu which is increasing our creativity and desires for creating and expanding our life container. With effective action steps and the passion that is required to keep us motivated and inspired, we can create anything! Mars shifts out of Dhanishta and into Satabisha nakshatra until the end of the month, provoking a shift in our action steps and intentions. Ruled over by Varuna, this lunar mansion is oriented towards seeing, discovering, and awakening to our own truth. Varuna sees everything and is said to have a thousand eyes, therefor he can intensify the critic and judge within us. He is an Aditya (giving resources and offering support), yet he does it through structure and abiding by the Laws of Nature. It is very important to attend to health needs during Satabisha times as any disease that starts under this nakshatra is said to be incurable. Attend to what nourishes you, supports your vitality and there won't be any issues. But for now it is vital to be maintaining balance on the four levels of life- mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. Stay out of the overwhelm and step into harmony by syncing up with the Laws of Nature. Sun is at the edge of Sagittarius in deep sandhi. Extra care for the spiritual body is necessary right now. Use this time to tap into your deepest longings. To listen deeply to your inner wisdom. Re-visit your needs, your life purpose, the direction of your path. Moon moves into Swati nakshatra at 19:08 CST. Wednesday, January 14th Today's Intention: The winds of change are blowing. Remember to direct your sails. Moon transits Swati nakshatra today, creating a swiftness, a certain sense of movement and change. Vayu, the wind god, insures that change, movement and strength are enlivened. Wind has many purposes and can offer multiple resources to us; it can also scatter us, destroy us or force us to make change in direction. Vayu is a Rudra, meaning he has immense strength and power. Be intentional today with how you use the power and strength within you, how you direct your inner winds. Sun shifts into Capricorn at 07:35 am CST, joining Mercury and Venus here. These three planets all receive drishti from Saturn, Rahu and Jupiter. Let the illumination in and let it influence your creativity, your communications, your orientation towards expansion and awakening. There's a new structure being created for each of us right now, if we consciously and intentionally move forward. This is a time for expanding our life container. We do this with creativity, our creation process, that which is our birth right. Each one of us is here on the planet to create the life of our dreams, to manifest, to expand and grow what is possible for ourselves. Maximize this potential with intention, goals, clear action steps, and guidance and support. This is the winning combination. Be sure to check out my Essentials for Manifestation MP3 for assistance and support. Moon shifts into Vishaka at 20:38 CST. Thursday, January 15th Today's Intention: Stop, collaborate and listen. Moon transits Vishaka nakshatra, nearing the edge of Libra. Vishaka is ruled by the dual gods, Indra and Agni, which expresses the co-creation process; a "two is better than one" reality. Indra is the high king, where as Agni is the high priest. This collaboration is an essential relationship for ultimate progress. Both rely on each other, thus the relationship is symbiotic. Together, they can create ultimate transformation and change. What changes are you creating today? Get help and team up! Moon moves to Scorpio at 15:12 CST and then moves to Anuradha nakshatra at 21:17 CST. As Moon enters Scorpio, it joins Saturn here as well; both receive drishti from Jupiter and Ketu. Be mindful of the pause and remember your three level check-in in order to intentionally listen to your internal experiences. This is a time to dive deeply. Friday, January 16th Today's Intention: Thank your lucky stars, your friends, supporters and well wishers. Moon transits Anuradha nakshatra at 21:17 CST, a heightened sense of support from friends and allies is increased. Mitra, the ruling deity here, is the ruler of friendships as well as fine detail and precision. He also connects us to man made laws (not Nature's laws which are Varuna's domain). Man made laws insinuate a matter a fact experience of life. What you see is what you get. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Every action has a reaction. The planetary ruler, Saturn, suggests structure, timeliness, and the wisdom that comes with age as a means to help us learn the lessons of Mitra. He is an Aditya and therefor offers blessings and resources, but does so with restrictions and steadiness of our actions. The "friendly star" earns its title by bringing a certain softness and compassion when life can feel harsh. With Saturn's conjunction with the Moon and Jupiter and Ketu offering their gaze to this pair, we may feel a certain emotional body intensity. Depression, expansion and release are possible sensations. Pushing too hard and forcing your agenda must be surrendered today. You'll get a lot more done without the extra pressure! At 21:04 Moon shifts into Jyestha nakshatra, Indra's domain. Saturday, January 17th Today's Intention: Where there's a will, there's a way. Use your strong mind to get you there. Moon transits Jyestha nakshatra and thus Indra and Mercury share their power with us. Indra is the king of the devas (gods) and offers intense strength, while also expressing the sensitivity such strength requires. Indra rules the sensory organs, and a strong alliance with Indra invites us to have control over our senses. Controlling the senses can keep us from over-indulgence and getting pulled off our path. Yet too much control leads us to imbalance and another extreme. Individualized balance is the ultimate freedom. Protect, honor and support your senses by listening, taking time to honor your physical body intelligence. With Rahu, Saturn and Jupiter giving drishti to Mercury right now (who is also conjunct Sun and Venus) we need to temper cravings that originate in the mental body. Yet simultaneously, use this time to broaden and deepen your imagination, expand your container, and get clear and focused. Just don't get lost in the point or the infinity. Use the expansion and the contraction as a resource for creating a new sense of balance. Venus shifts into Dhanishta nakshatra today at 06:21 am CST, inviting in the prosperity and light of the Vasu devas. The combination of Venus and the Vasu's is sure to bring passion, creativity and many new possibilities in the coming weeks. Resource from your relationships, build creative alliances, take action steps that invite in your power, light and higher purpose. Aim high! Reach towards what you want and move away from what does not serve you, nourish you or create space for your light. Moon jumps into Sagittarius and Mula nakshatra at 20:03 CST, inviting in Nirrti, the dark goddess of disruption. Sunday, January 18th Today's Intention: Let the doors close behind you. Moon transits Mula nakshatra today, inviting in Nirrti's dark goddess ways. She disrupts, changes, re-structures and removes. She does so by uprooting us and digging up what we are ready to release, transform and shift. Often this is not a comfortable experience, but can be somewhat magical! Ask for the support and assistance you need for this removal process. Moon is in the 14th tithi today and deeply in the waning process. Allow the emptiness to be conscious for you and work intentionally with the letting go process today. As you invite in the release, cultivate presence and awareness of your emptiness. What are you releasing? Moon moves to PurvaAshada nakshatra at 18:20 CST, inviting in Apas, the water goddess. Monday, January 19th Today's Intention: Purify, cleanse and restore. As Moon continues to transit Sagittarius and PurvaAshada nakshatra, there is a deepening of release happening. Let the release come through purifying and cleansing practices, through ritual and sacred acts. Use water and the emotional body tides to inspiration the purification process. Be gentle and nourishing to yourself and others today. Do so by listening deeply to your emotional body wisdom. Moon enters the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waning cycle. New Moon is on Wednesday the 20th at 07:14 am CST while in Capricorn and UttarAshada. This is a very powerful new Moon! More details to come.
