ALIGN WITH MORE MOON MAGIC THIS YEAR!

2020 Sidereal Horoscopes

Interestingly, before the new year even begins, the first eclipse of the season occurs on December 26th, 2019. The first ten days of the new year will be within the two week eclipse portal, offering shadow and intensification. This particular eclipse cycle will end on the 10th of January with a Penumbral Lunar eclipse.

Eclipses intensify everything and tend to make mountains out of mole hills. We may get lost in the overwhelm and negativity during this two week cycle, so keep moving toward the light. Stay positive and look for solutions rather than focusing on the darkness, but do not bypass the necessary inner work that you are being asked to show up for.

Major 2020 Transits

Saturn in Capricorn

Saturn is the first planet to change signs this year on January 23rd. As the slowest moving planet, Saturn takes 2.5 years to move through a sign. This means that the impact Saturn has on your life is slow, drawn out, and lasting.

Structure is Saturn’s domain- of the physical human form, the muscle, bone and tissues- as well as the universe. He is old, he rules old age, and also that which comes with age. He is vata, air, and dries things out as a result. The absence of water (life) brings death, and when the water of the physical body dries up, we die.

As Saturn moves to his own sign of Capricorn on January 23rd, he brings balance and stability with him. Capricorn is one of his favorite signs and he feels at home here. As an earthy sign of hard laborious work, Saturn loves the work ethic of this sign and supports structured, positive results here.

Notice where Capricorn is in your Jyotish chart. The themes of this house will be asking for simplicity, clear action, consistent steps.

Jupiter in Sagittarius and Capricorn

Jupiter is doing a strange dance this year from his most balanced sign, Sagittarius, to his sign of debilitation, Capricorn, then back to Sagittarius. This keeps him in close proximity to Saturn for a large portion of the year, despite Saturn changing signs. Saturn is contraction, whereas Jupiter brings expansion. Together, they can bring ultimate harmony and balance.

On March 29th, Jupiter enters Capricorn and becomes debilitated. Here, he will have to contend with Saturn once again- while feeling the pinch of debilitation simultaneously. This can squeeze and cause pressure to Jupiter's expansive ways. A debilitated planet can't offer much outer support as its energy turns inward.

Once Jupiter lands in Capricorn and goes debilitated, then goes retrograde on May 14th, a reversal will take place called Neecha Bhanga. A debilitated planet that goes into retrograde motion is said to become exalted- almost. This will strengthen the effect of Jupiter and will offer more support while he moves through Capricorn, however, it's not a complete cancellation.

Moves to Capricorn and debilitation on March 29th, 2020
Retrograde, debilitation reverses, May 14th, 2020
Moves back to Sagittarius, his own sign, on June 29th, 2020
Goes direct on September 12th, 2020
Moves into Capricorn and debilitation on November 19th, 2020

The movement of Jupiter this year brings balance and harmony, expansion and dhamic focus while he passes through Sagittarius. Look to see where Sagittarius and Capricorn live in your jyotish chart to identify the themes that will require more balance.

Rahu in Gemini and Ketu in Sagittarius

The nodes, as Rahu and Ketu are referred to, are mischievous in nature. They present our karmas to us in this incarnation. Without them, and their very valuable life lessons, we would not have incarnated into a human body. Both Rahu and Ketu have their own unique array of offerings, but because they are shadow "planets" they often evade prediction. Their nature is to deceive, mystify, to be illusive, and to blind us from our true nature.

Rahu and Ketu request that we ask ourselves: What am I not seeing or what am I not willing to see? What am I clinging to and unable to let go of?

On March 7th 2019, our karmas shifted yet again. Rahu moved to creative, airy Gemini and Ketu shifted to Sagittarius, joining Saturn in this spiritual, fire sign. This 1.5 year transit will last until September 23rd, 2020.

Sagittarius is a highly spiritual fire sign. It aims high, but rarely hits the target because of hesitation to pick a direction.

Rahu in Gemini will create forceful shifts and strong, unpredictable movement. This transit also brings stormy energy and powerful currents, making sweeping, sudden changes.

Creativity and the imagination will be wild and untamed. Imagination can be used as a powerful boon or a dangerous dragon of illusion. The mind will need you to keep it tame. Remember that the mental body is the imaginal. Don't believe everything you think.

2020 Sidereal Horoscopes

These Horoscopes will give you general themes for the year to come based on your rising sign. Horoscopes are based on your sidereal, or Jyotish rising sign, not your Western or Tropical sign. There is likely no correlation. You may also use with your sidereal Moon or Sun sign for extra insight.

Aries

Saturn leaves your 9th house of dharma after 2.5 years of transiting through your most auspicious house. Though he brought challenges and questioning of your life purpose, his constriction will now be focused on your career and offering for the coming lengthy cycle. The 10th house is considered a positive and supportive house as well, so expect support from Saturn with your career and dharmic offerings. This also means honoring the ways of Saturn and being diligent with his requests for sustainability. Be consistent, stay focused, use traditional methods for success and seek outer support.

Ketu continues through your 9th house, while Rahu transits your 3rd until late September. This brings focus to your dharmic path as well as self expression and courage. You will need to do some trauma work around authority figures and spiritual trauma in this cycle.

Taurus

Starting in January, Saturn moves to his own sign, Capricorn, and into your 9th house of dharma- the most auspicious house of the chart. This transit is ideally helping you strengthen your dharmic path, clearing grief and bringing structure to your soul purpose. But it won’t be without effort on your part.

When Jupiter joins Saturn in your 9th house for three months starting in April, you may notice new resources, tools and support showing up to help you.

Since Ketu is also transiting the 8th house with Jupiter, you can expect even more clearing to take place. Ketu will be forcing awareness and insight that will help you lighten your load, however it might be painful to see so clearly. Be sure you are taking care of your body and staying grounded with daily embodiment practices.

Rahu in your 2nd house is forcing you to acknowledge deeper levels of nourishment and wealth.

Gemini

As Rahu continues through your 1st house, you are learning about yourself in all kinds of new ways. Who are you? Who are you becoming? Strengthen your sense of self and try not to get caught in the snare of big worldly desires that are all consuming. Trust that this new sense of self will be worth it in the long run.

Jupiter in your 7th house is helping you see more clearly what you need and what feels helpful. Pay attention to your own body wisdom- particularly your pelvis.

When Jupiter dips into your 8th house, he joins Saturn here briefly for three months. This is a vulnerable time for you. Honor your depths and the powerful, inner transformation taking place.

For the next 2.5 years, Saturn will be in your 8th house. A deep purging of grief is taking place in this cycle so anything that has not previously been honored or acknowledge will be surfacing now to ask for release. Saturn asks you to face your own vulnerability and darkness.

Cancer

The good news is that as Jupiter transits your 6th house for the majority of the year, he is in his own sign which offers strength and balance. The 6th house, however, tends to bring some challenges to the surface so pay attention to obstacles and financial issues that need more knowledge and wisdom.

For three months starting in April, Jupiter enters your 7th house of relationships and is debilitated for part of this transit. This impacts your interactions with significant partnerships.

Saturn in your 7th house can bring grief to the surface in your relationships. Wherever you or your partner have been avoiding grief, trauma, pain, or undigested emotions, you can guarantee Saturn will ask you to face them to some degree.

Rahu and Ketu are asking you to clarity and clear away excess, while focusing more on your spiritual path and inner transformation. What are your relationships teaching you about using your voice?

Leo

The next 2.5 years are vital for your healing path. Saturn will be in his own sign of Capricorn in your 6th house. Conflicts, challenges, finances and health will be subjected to some hardships. Remember that Saturn ultimately wants you to clear and release the grief and pain that you have not been willing to let go of.

Starting in April, Jupiter arrives in your 6th house, joining Saturn here for three months. You may gather new support and resources, but be sure they are reputable.

For most of this year, Jupiter transits your 5th house of playfulness, children, past life credit and solar plexus. He is trying to help you strengthen your sense of power and self trust, your gut intelligence. Are you paying attention?

Ketu is conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius this year as well which may intensify the self doubt and uncertainty on your path right now. This is a test in many ways. A test of your strength, helping you carve out a path that is more in alignment with who you truly are.

Virgo

It’s been challenging this past year to find home and deepen your tap root, but some of this is shifting now as Saturn moves to your 5th house for the next 2.5 years. This transit requires a new relationship with your inner power, children and sense of playfulness.

Most of this year, Jupiter transits your 4th house of heart, home, and mother with Ketu. A heart clearing process is taking place, supporting emotional body release, heart expansion and spiritual wisdom. The more you can make space in your heart for love, the more connection and intimacy will be felt in your relationships.

Ketu is trying to help you clear away the past grief, while opening up your heart space to a new way of feeling. Your drive to succeed on a material level is getting in the way of your ability to listen to your heart. What is this over-drive to achieve worldly success? Is this truly what your heart longs for? Or is it just a distraction from what truly matters?

Libra

Jupiter navigates your 3rd house in his own sign with Ketu most of the year. This brings expansion and change with your self expression and artistry- particularly with your hands. Rahu in your 9th house of dharma brings challenges with your life purpose so be wary of extremes, authority figures and lack of self trust.

Saturn in your 4th house of home, heart, land and mother brings some constriction in these areas so be mindful of your emotional body for the coming 2.5 years. As Saturn moves through your 4th house, he also impacts your 10th house of career and your offering to the world. You may notice more structure is needed with your offerings and how you share in the world.

When Jupiter enters your heart center for three months starting in April, this can support the expansion and movement of the heart. Seek balance and integration with open and close, inhale and exhale, expansion and contraction. What can your heart wisdom share with you about this?

Scorpio

This is your year to clean up finances, expand nourishment, and increase receiving. With Jupiter in your 2nd house of speech and mouth, it will be your voice and words that win others over others and support the increases in your life.

When Jupiter shifts into Capricorn for three months early in the year, there will be a change in your self expression, artistry and hands. You may need to put more emphasis on your expressive arts practice, your writing, and courage at this time.

Starting in January, Saturn moves to your 3rd house for the next 2.5 years which shifts your efforts directly to creativity and courage. He requires consistency and wants regularity with your focused action steps.

As the year closes out, Rahu moves to your 7th house and Ketu to your 1st house. The coming 1.5 years are a game changer. You are becoming someone entirely new. Let the veils of illusion drop away and allow yourself to awaken new parts of yourself.

Sagittarius

There’s no way around the shedding and release happening, but with your most helpful planet, Jupiter, transiting your 1st house for most of the year, you will feel some sense of growth, stability and wisdom arriving as well.

When Jupiter enters your 2nd house for a few months starting in April, watch your words and your money. Nourishment overall may need more of your focus at this time. You need to do some inner work and clear away the past- in order to make space for more of what you need.

Since Saturn will be living in your 2nd house for the next 2.5 years, get used to simplifying your life and not overindulging. This means your finances may feel extra tight and restricted and words need to be chosen carefully.

As the year closes, Ketu moves to your 12th house and Rahu to your 6th house. Clarify your boundaries and be willing to face challenges directly. Speak your truth and focus on your deeper needs and desires.

Capricorn

Your ruling planet, Saturn, moves to your head as 2020 begins. For the coming 2.5 years, structure is key. Patience, consistency, grief work and physical body support will be vital. This transit also directly impacts your relationships. Do you feel safe and supported?

When Jupiter arrives in Capricorn for three months starting in April, he brings a new awareness with him. Balance, harmony, integration and resources surface to help you heal and strengthen.

Most of the year Jupiter will be in your 12th house in his own sign of Sagittarius, sitting with Ketu. This brings immense spiritual transformation and change, while also opening the pathways for more ancestral support as well. Are you inviting your ancestors into your life? How are they showing up to support you?

Rahu is asking you to confront what you’ve been avoiding. Be direct, get focused and don’t avoid challenges or conflict.

Ketu will be inviting in spiritual gains, shifts with relationships, friendships, your courage and creativity.

Aquarius

Gains come quite naturally this year- as long as you make space to receive them. It’s time to blossom and harvest through previous efforts.

Jupiter enters Capricorn for three months starting in April, where he joins Saturn. This will create a need for more rest and rejuvenation practices. Slow down and digest. This is how you heal and transform so be sure to give yourself the necessary time to transform and awaken something new.

Saturn will be transiting your 12th house for the coming 2.5 years which indicates a time of deep rest and spiritual work. It will take consistent effort to reap the benefits of this cycle so show up for your physical and spiritual bodies diligently.

You may notice that friendships and relationships overall are being restructured which may feel painful. Who is changing? You or them? Consider how much your needs are shifting and let go of what no longer meets you where you are.

Pisces

You will notice with Saturn in your 11th house of gains that the more grief work you do, the more you receive what you need. Your hard work and effort leads to more support overall. This means doing your shadow work and confronting the undigested emotions you’ve been blindly carrying around like an extra limb.

Jupiter and Ketu are moving through your 10th house of career most of the year, causing much restructuring with your life offerings. It’s time to try something new, be bold, take some leaps of faith, and notice where you are keeping yourself small.

When Jupiter enters Capricorn for three months in April, you will find a little more support and balance with your gifts. There may be some vulnerability in this, but take some risks and be consistent with your steps.

As the year closes, Rahu moves to your 3rd house and Ketu shifts to your 9th house. The coming 1.5 years require patience with your dharmic path.
