For so many of us, money has not been a resource of support and stability, safety or security. In fact, it has been quite the opposite. Does money bring up fear, terror, anger, frustrations, sadness or even trauma for you? Almost everyone has a strong story (or many stories) connected to their money. The support and stability piece connected to money is important. Money is an energetic resource that can provide a sense of support in our life, as well as security, stability, and safety. It is a resource of nourishment. Our ability to be well nourished in life determines our resiliency and our sense of thriving. If there are blockages connected to receiving money, there are blockages connected to receiving nourishment. It's that simple. Do you feel rich right now? Yes or no? These feelings are creating your life. They are either helping you create more of what you do want or more of what you don’t want. It's essential to know that we do not manifest from thinking, but from our feelings. The truth is, if we aren’t receiving money, it’s a resistance to being nourished and supported on some level of our life. A resistance to getting our needs met. I guarantee this is showing up in your life on other levels for you and even causing malnutrition on multiple levels of your life. The reality is, money is just an energy that shows us where we are resisting the flow of life force energy, creativity, vitality, abundance and nourishment. These blockages can be seen in your jyotish chart as well. If we are having issues creating life, manifesting our desires into form, there must be a blockage or an obstacle that is standing in our way. The only thing stopping us is our own shadow, the illusions that we are unable to create and be powerful creators. Remember that we are only able to manifest from our feelings and therefore it is vital that we have a deep relationship with our emotional body. Sadly, this is where most people are stuck, blocked, and quite frankly emotionally illiterate. A deep relationship with your emotions is vital for manifestation. We don’t manifest with the mind, the mental body, thinking or even visualizing. This is the mistake of the entire Law of Attraction movement and the affirmations people say. The only way affirmations work is if you create a deeper relationship with the feeling of the desire. The feeling of being wealthy. The feeling of being safe in your relationships. The feeling of driving your new car. The feeling of doing joyful work in the world. But there’s a catch. Often we have hidden agendas that sabotage our ability to receive. This is often connected to feelings of safety and security. If it doesn’t feel safe to receive your desire, you won’t be able to receive it. It doesn’t matter how hard you wish, plan, set goals, etc. You won’t be nourished by your relationships, if it doesn’t feel safe on some level of your being. You won’t be wealthy if on some level you don’t feel safe having a lot of money. This is where the work begins. Tracking your emotions and noticing the physical body sensations that emerge around money will help you identify where you are stuck, resistant, avoiding, fearful, etc. It's imperative to be tracking your stories connected to money as well. The stories that are stuck in your mental body, looping on auto pilot and keeping you in old patterns of lack and malnourishment. These are very old stories! Stories that began as early as childhood and were reinforced through life experiences. Stories that may in fact be older than that! Ancestral and lineage stories that you adopted as your own. Some of these stories in fact are just very old karma that can be shifted, changed and healed. In the podcast below, I share a tapping (EFT) sequence with you that will guide you through transforming and releasing the old stories around money, while helping you awaken and receive new forms of nourishment. (I recorded this while hiking up a mountain so it's a bit rough, but truly authentic!) Use this podcast as you tap through these points: Karate chop point (side of the hand). Crown of the head. Eyebrow point (above the eye). Side of the eye. Under the eye. Under the nose. Chin point (crease of the chin). Throat point (collar bone/throat chakra). Heart point (center of chest). Stomach point (above the navel). Side body (nipple line at side of chest). Tap six to ten times on each point and just keep cycling through the points. Repeat the phrases I use aloud. Share your experiences below! What emerged for you in this process? Excited to hear from you! Want more support building your wealth now?

It's challenging to see how our problems can actually be the solution. It's impossible most of the time to turn our weaknesses into our strengths. Rarely do we harvest resources in our weakest moments. The reality is, these are the very experiences that can change and transform our lives. These are moments of power if we choose to use them. Our jyotish charts are a resource for finding our power, our gifts and our strengths. The purpose of our jyotish charts is to share with us why we are alive, why we have incarnated. It shows us our strengths and our weaknesses. Rarely do we use these areas of weakness to maximize ourselves though. Traditionally, jyotish has been used as a means of creating greater awareness, a tool of insight. Often though our challenges, our karmas, are shown to us as a hardship that may not be overcome in this lifetime. It's true, the jyotish chart is a map of our accumulated karmas thus far, but it is important to remember this energy is not stagnant- is is constantly changing- as are we. I use the jyotish chart to maximize the energy of change, the potential for transformation. In my classes and personal sessions, my intention is to always empower my clients to use resources that will keep them evolving, moving, changing and transforming towards their highest potential. But when we are stuck in darkness, it is often hard to see the light switch. Money problems, worries and anxieties, are part of this paradigm of "stuckness" that can keep us in a state of overwhelm, feeling powerless, as a result of not being able to see ourselves clearly. The number one complaint I hear from clients is that they have a lack of money. The roots of this money issue can be seen in the jyotish chart, but ultimately it is an inability to nourish ones self, to receive nourishment from life. The second house is vital to determine our relationship with money. It is the house of nourishment, how we are fed. Literally it is connected to the time immediately after birth, and how we were nourished directly after we were born as well as during our childhood. It is the house of food and the body parts connected to the second house are mouth and throat as well as speech. But the second house is also a wealth house. Money in fact is a source of nourishment, a way of being fed. What is your relationship with nourishment? We can look to the second house to determine our relationship with life nourishment, but really all of our relationships are determined by Venus, the karaka (indicator) of love and relating. Venus is the planet of love and allows the nourishment to flow, to be fluid, to move through us freely. If we have blockages that keep Venus's love from flowing, we will also have issues with the other indications of Venus as well: wealth, creativity, life force energy. Since Venus is connected to jala, water, it truly brings us life. This is why money is an important part of having a good relationship with life. Money brings life itself. Problems arrive when we are not in right relationship with this creative, fluid nourishment from Venus. You can look at your chart to see what obstructions might be affecting your flow. Any connections Saturn has with your Venus will be an indication their is loss, grief or sadness effecting your ability to be nourished. Rahu will bring misjudgments, mistrust, fears and illusions that make you feel unsafe or not seeing clearly. Mars may offer pains due to acting without thinking, thus there may have been issues where you have literally gotten "burned" by money. These are important discoveries because they show you where your resources are hidden! Yes, these challenges, these pains from the past, share important insights for making more income. These painful stories from past experiences are the keys to unlocking the blockages effecting your Venus, the flow of nourishment to you and through you. The time is now for more wealth! As I mentioned in my passion article, the time is truly ripe to work on our Venus issues right now. With the current conjunction of Mars and Ketu conjunct exalted Venus until March 12th, we have a very ripe opportunity to face our fears about wealth, money and nourishment. This theme will continue for the coming months as Ketu continues to transit Pisces, Venus's domain. Since many are feeling challenged by the current Venus/Mars/Ketu conjunction and feeling the obstructions of money directly at this time, it is actually a wonderful opportunity to work directly with the issues coming up for you. This is the brilliance of the transits and how to work with challenging situations that arrive while they are happening. See them as a way to crack open and receive more light. Ketu offers us awakenings if we choose to go into the pain, to heal it and transform it, rather than stay in our illusions and suffering. I use EFT (the emotional freedom technique) as a way to directly target the intense emotional (Moon) and mental (Mercury) responses we experience as a result of our painful experiences and life challenges. These mental/emotional issues effect the physical body (Saturn) and the body will share these messages with us diligently so listen up! EFT is a very efficient way to transform our challenges into awakening and awareness (Ketu). This tool can help us target what needs to be cleared in order to get the Venus life force energy moving through us more fluidly. The podcast below will take you through an EFT tapping sequence that will help you address and clear your money fears connected to debt. Our relationship with debt and our ability to save money represents our ability to hold onto nourishment in our lives, to absorb support and security. When we can't hold onto money there is usually an issue with some loss from the past. Notice in your jyotish chart if Saturn is connected to your Venus in any way. What losses are you still grieving? This will show up in your money and will often become a financial debt at some point. Use this podcast to address the emotions connected to your debts so you can release them and get money flowing to you. Want more support building your wealth now? Get the Details! How to Use Jyotish Wisdom to Heal Your Body Most people think of Jyotish Astrology as a means of charting the planets, the stars, the movements of the heavens. For those of us who subscribe to this very ancient body of Vedic knowledge though, we understand that there is a correlation between the cosmos and our own inner nature, our experience of life. There is a connection between the macrocosm and the microcosm, the two are not separate, but dance, mingle and co-create. This divine interplay is what makes studying Jyotish so valuable. I use Jyotish as a means of explaining and exploring the inner being, the inner realms of our own felt experience. In fact all of my transit reports are a reflection of my own experience with the cosmos, my own expression of their movement. This is why the consciousness of the Jyotishi is of the utmost importance; traditionally, the life of the astrologer has been one of constant purification and refinement, so as to "see" more and more clearly. Jyotish after all is the science of light, the science of vision, sight. If we can use the wisdom of Jyotish to see within ourselves, our consciousness, we can use this awareness for healing insights as well. Truthfully, Jyotish is so vast and all-encompassing, it includes all expressions of our humanity- our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies, or the four bodies. I share more about this unique correlation in my article on sensitivity. Quite literally the Jyotish chart (I strictly use a North Indian style chart) shares in detail the connection to our various bodies- through the planets, houses and even the nakshatras. We could even say that each one of these pieces of jyotish wisdom connects to one of the four bodies, so that ultimately when we are looking at our jyotish chart we are looking at a web of energies, a web of our own cosmic energies. The multiple layers of the chart are so interwoven, it is this complexity that we study in Jyotish in order to see the many relationships between energies and how they express themselves uniquely through us. This is a nuanced and intuitive awareness that comes with much studying, clarity and inner vision. I believe in fact that this gift is possible for each one of us to embrace; it is after all connected to our intuition, our felt senses, our inner knowing. This is a refinement process we can learn and create. One of my greatest passions is helping others awaken to their own cosmic nature- studying one's jyotish chart gives us that ability. I encourage all of my clients to study their own charts, in fact, I believe that is really the whole point of Jyotish! To know ourselves, truly, inside and out. To awaken to our own cosmic nature! This is why I'm offering my ongoing classes, Jyotish Basics for Transformation and Healing. So that you can begin to awaken to the wisdom of your own existence, your path, the effects of the transits, and how to track these changes within you. Get all the details about my Jyotish Basics classes here. Because I bridge my Jyotish knowledge with the wisdom of the body, as well as the creative arts, I use the Jyotish chart a resource specifically to study the physical body and its myriad of expressions. My embodiment work is deeply intertwined with body part metaphors and the implications this has on our life experience. Therefor the connection one's chart has with specific body parts is of the utmost fascination and importance for me. We can look at the body part connections within the chart from multiple lenses- whether it be through the houses, the planets or the nakshatras. To keep it simple, I'll share in this article the specific body parts that are connected to specific houses in the chart, as this is a wonderful first step for identification purposes. We can then connect the houses of our own chart to our own specific body parts. If for example you are having hand pain, you would look to the third house to see what is effecting the "house of hands." There is also a natural connection to Gemini as well because Gemini correlates to the number three, or the third house. The body parts (and houses) also connect us to specific chakras as well. For now, let's just stick to the houses and their correlating body parts and keep it simple. First House: Head and face Second House: Throat, neck and mouth Third House: Hands, arms and shoulders Fourth House: Chest, heart, lungs, breasts Fifth House: Upper stomach, solar plexus Sixth House: Lower abdomen Seventh House: Pelvic bowl and organs therein Eighth House: Sexual organs, genitals, excretory organs Ninth House: Legs but specifically thighs Tenth House: Knees Eleventh House: Calves, ankles Twelfth House: Feet My work specifically includes a synergy of Jyotish wisdom, embodiment tools and art therapy resources, so working with body parts specifically is highly useful for making diagnosis and prescriptions for my clients. Often we can get ample wisdom from the body itself, and then take that information back to the chart for deeper investigation. It's this cross checking that becomes a very potent healing and transformation tool. To give you an example of this, I'll share a Creative Ritual here so you can get started with the self tracking process. We will be working directly with these tools in my Jyotish Basics Classes for Transformation and Healing. If you want to grow in the wisdom of your body and its cosmic intelligence, I strongly encourage you to join me for these Sunday classes. Register here. It will also help if you have your own North Indian style chart to study. If you need a copy of your chart, I offer this service here. Creative Ritual Self Tracking, Learning from the Wisdom of the Body {Audio recording below} 1) Sit, stand or lay down. Close your eyes and fall into the rhythm of your breath. Notice the rise and fall of your chest, the waves of breath moving in and out of your body. Take some time to relax into this rhythm. 2) As the body moves to greater stillness and relaxation through breath awareness, locate a sensation in the body. This sensation might show up as a tingling, a pulsing, or a sense of vibration. There might even be a color, a shape, a sound or a word that arrives in connection to the body part. Listen and honor whatever arrives for you. Don't filter the messages, judge or critique them. Your only job is to listen right now. Be curious, be interested, and be present to the body's messages. What body part emerges? What sensations are arriving? What messages are shared? Take note of this wisdom coming to you from your body. 3) Create an image of this physical body sensation that arrived through your self tracking. Use craypas or paint and put your experience on paper- so as to transfer the felt senses into a tangible, visual expression. This is a powerful part of the process and one that can shift us into deeper awareness of our body wisdom. 4) Once your image is complete, give it a title. Now, let it speak. What does your image have to share with you? If your image could speak, what would it say? 5) Pull out your Jyotish chart. What body part emerged in your self tracking exploration? What house of the chart is connected to this body part? Study this house within your chart. What do you notice? We can analyze the experience of the house by noting: What planets are sitting there, if any? What sign is located in this house? Do any planets give their drishti (gaze)? Finally, note the current transits and what planets might be effecting this house currently. Your body is sharing with you a very specific message. This message is directly connected to your needs, your desires, your deep longing for nourishment, comfort, safety and support on some core level. When we can access the wisdom of the body directly, we get very clear, unfiltered messages and insights. The cosmic intelligence of the jyotish chart can then help us further identify what is impacting us both macrocosmically and microcosmically. This is the vital information we need for deepening our healing and transformation process. Ready to learn more?
