This Week's Intention: Step powerfully into your one precious life and don't look back. Monday begins with Moon transiting Capricorn and Sravana nakshatra- a domain ruled by Vishnu that offers expansion and awareness. Dharma and sharing knowledge are especially activated here, so remember to listen, share and connect. Seek new insights, pieces that feel important for your path, and linger with these messages. With Rahu, Saturn and Jupiter all giving drishti (gaze) to the Moon right now, we may feel the pressure from multiple sides. Are you in the storm or outside of it? Moon moves to Dhanishta nakshatra early evening on Monday, inviting in the light of the Vasu Devas who help us shine, see and be seen. The Vasu Devas support manifestation by allowing us to share our creative energy and get recognition for it. Money, wealth and material support comes as a result of this sharing and shining. Use this time to connect and create, see and be seen. This themes takes us through Tuesday afternoon. The gandanta (gap) portal between Pisces and Aries is wide open as Sun leaps into the beginning of the zodiac and a new cycle. The Sun's movement from water to fire signs brings a powerful shift in energy. Release, letting go, liberation and themes around death have been intensifying over the past few weeks. These themes especially connect to our sense of self, ego, power, authority and father. Be aware of the vulnerability and tenderness of this time and don't push too hard. Sun moves to its sign of exaltation, Aries at 00:53 PDT, joining Mars and Mercury here as well. This is the beginning of the solar new year and a very powerful time to start new endeavors. We now get a month of Sun's intense power and passion. Expect dynamism, charge, focus and determination. Don't get burned out! Use this heat and extra light force effectively in order for lasting, sustainable results. Set intentions and step into your power! Moon transits Aquarius and moves to Satabisha nakshatra Tuesday afternoon when Varuna arrives to share his all-seeing wisdom. Nothing gets past his gaze! He rules over Natural Law and determines what is life supportive and what is not. Guard your health today and tomorrow and be conscientious about how you use your body, mind and spirit. His judgement and wisdom are here to keep you in check. By noon on Wednesday, the Moon transits Purvabhadra nakshatra, the domain of Ajaikapada, another name for Nataraja, lord of the dance. One foot is standing and grounded firmly, while his other leg is lifted, prepared to step. He represents the ultimate life balance as well as having one foot in two different realms. Work with balance today, even if it feels impossible. Take conscious steps and ask for support. Late morning on Thursday, Moon transits into Pisces and the latter half of the Bhadrapada constellation- Uttara Bhadrapada. Moon joins Ketu here and receives drishti from Rahu and Jupiter. Ruling deity of this constellation, Ahirbudhnya, offers deep discoveries today for those who are willing to take the plunge into the nether realms. From our depths, we can find the missing pieces necessary for awakening. How deep are you willing to dive? Remember to come up for air. My mid morning, Moon moves into Revati nakshatra and into a tight conjunction with Ketu. Revati and its ruling deity, Pushan, insure safe and supportive travels, nourishment and fruitful explorations. Ketu insures that there will be some new light and awareness arriving, though not without some pinching and pruning as well. What parts of yourself are you releasing and letting go of in order for your journey to be more fruitful? New Moon is Saturday at 11:57 am PDT while Moon is in Ashwini nakshatra. Aries demands our attention for the new Moon, with exalted Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars (in its own sign) all in the headstrong sign of the Ram, simultaneously. As the first sign in the zodiac, Aries evokes beginnings and fresh starts, and requests that we pay attention to what we are starting, how we are starting it, and what our intention is as we step forward into the newness. Do you want more details about the effects of this new Moon? Do you want to more deeply embody the theme for this new cycle? Get my 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar. Saturday is full of fresh starts, but make sure you take time for rejuvenation and enjoyment. Rest, relax and restore! Early Sunday morning, Moon shifts to Bharani nakshatra, joining Mars and Mercury in this lunar constellation. Yama brings support with death, dying and transformations. Great sensitivity will be felt today, so pay close attention to your emotional body needs as relationships will be impacted greatly. Monday brings an exalted Moon in Taurus conjunct Venus. Get ready to feel what you feel and channel it properly!! *Timing and calculations are using Pacific Daylight Time.

Aries: It's time to take charge of your life in bold and powerful ways. Do not take no for an answer. In other words, don't take fear as an answer. It isn't one. Nourishment and support are yours. Play big or go home! Taurus: A new sense of stability and support arrives for you in the coming cycle- from the inside out. Notice what changes and releases have to happen in order for this new, inner structure to take form. Continue to courageously and creatively face your feelings and emotions as this is the territory that impedes the nourishment you desperately need and want. Your emotions will give you the clues. Dive in! Gemini: The coming cycle helps you finally release and let go of some career pieces that are holding you back. Trust this letting go cycle as it affords you space to step forward in some very momentous and powerful ways. The endings are so vital for the gains to come. A new sense of balance arrives in your body. Speak from your heart, find stability from your pelvis and feet, and let your stomach be the source of your power. Cancer: Gains arrive as you submit to inner egoic change. As you do so, life opens up and reminds you how important it is to allow change and transformation into your life. Use your challenges and awakenings as a gift to share with others. Let the world into your process of enlightenment and upliftment. Show us a bit of your inner realms and vulnerability. Expect gains and improvements as a reward. Leo: With all the deep transformations you've been undergoing, the coming cycle will bring some much needed relief. More nourishment, support and wisdom are on the way. Give yourself some rest time as this will be how you digest and assimilate the past weeks and months of change. Use the influences of joy and seriousness, fun and commitment, in order to find a new sense of balance in your life. A very strong time of dharmic change is coming. Get ready to move! Virgo: I'd like to tell you that the pain of all the letting go is coming to a close, but in fact the full release has yet to begin. You've actually been in the preparatory phases. But this part of your process has been vital so that you can embrace the new cycle of power that is arriving. Get ready to purify, cleanse and transform inside out. A tiger is gently purring within you, but soon it will be roaring and shredding your inner darkness. Gather your support and your fire offerings. Libra: The power is coming to you in your hips and pelvis and from head to tail. Roar like a lion and get comfortable with prowling. You are working through some old hurts and haunts right now. The support and stability can be found in your body, so don't neglect this source of power and strength. As Sun moves to Aries, your hips will be unstoppable. Let the passion of life into your life and share it consciously with others. With so much heat moving through you, use this time as an opportunity to learn how to be more mindful with how you use your power. Scorpio: Suddenly you can hear the messages coming to you in a new way, a more nourishing way. Stability and support are finding a recalibration point in you from head, through spine, into pelvis. Use these body parts to help you align from the inside, out. Trust your pelvis to guide you and support you. Recommit to your power and dynamism. Channel it to into your clients and through your gifts and services. There's nothing you can't accomplish. Don't let the shadows keep you from moving forward. See and be seen. Sagittarius: Home and heart have been getting shredded, restructured. This has prepared you for the coming cycle of passionate and powerful stirrings within you. How will you channel this fire? Where would you like to put your strengths and efforts? A new sense of balance is coming with your losses which offers some healing and support, a mending to your broken heart. Use your passion constructively. Now is a great time to start anew. Listen to you gut and watch over-indulgences. Capricorn: The only way out is through. The only way through is with courage and creativity. As your ego and sense of self get restructured, take notes. What gives you your ability, your will and desire to move forward? Passion continues to build in your heart, but watch out for heart burn. Channel this heat effectively as romance and shakti flare. Keep moving towards the nourishment, the support, the vital stability you seek. Watch for mixed messages and smoke signals. Aquarius: Do what you say and say what you do. Do what you feel and feel what you do. Share what you feel and offer what moves through you. Be courageous enough to be authentic and you can't go wrong. Your courage and passion to do so increases in the coming weeks, but it's important to watch the doubts that appear. Work consciously on these old themes as they have stopped you from achieving your greatness in the past. Now is your opportunity to move beyond the old haunts. Pisces: You are the case study for us all right now Pisces. You've been getting cracked open raw and getting cut into a variety of pieces. With all this restructuring inside, finding your footing, a way to land, has been challenging. There's more change on the way- but the kind that will support some integration and greater stability. Using your voice will be vital in order for you to get your needs met. You are learning how to express yourself more powerfully. Getting what you need requires that you know what you need, then you can ask for it. Horoscopes for the Waning Moon Cycle {April 4th to 18th} Themes of deep transformation continue thanks to Saturn’s retrograde motion through Scorpio with the re-structuring effects of Ketu‘s transit through Pisces as well. Expect awareness and changes that connect to endings, release and letting go. Sun continues to touch Ketu as he moves through Pisces (endings) and then into Aries (beginnings), on April 14th. We may feel our egos and sense of self getting reformatted as immense changes from inside out continue. Look for themes surfacing that have to do with power, personal empowerment and authority in the coming cycle. The delicate gap between Pisces and Aries opens up once again as Mercury moves out of its debilitation in Pisces and into Aries on the 11th. This gap opens yet again when Sun moves out of Pisces and into its sign of exaltation, Aries, on the 14th. This gandanta (gap) is particularly challenging, signifying deep inner change, while ushering in insights and support from higher realms. Multiple parts of ourselves are going through upheaval and release right now. Be willing to let old parts of yourself get burned, purified and released as this is a time of alchemical changes. As the eclipse portal closes with the April 4th full Moon and lunar eclipse, a softening arrives with some relief from the intensity of the past weeks. We are still in a period of deep inner change, though our shadows will have more chances to see the light now. The delicate two week period between solar and lunar eclipses will ends much of the intensity, yet we still have some remnants to work with on the level of ego and SelThe eclipse portal closes with the April 4th full Moon and lunar eclipse. Moon begins to wane (Krishna Paksha) after the full Moon on Wednesday + Buddha Jayanti.
Monday, 5.12 Moon moves into Libra this morning, joining Rahu and retrograde Saturn here. Simultaneously, exalted Sun and Ketu give direct gaze seven houses away and Jupiter offers his gaze from five houses away. The complexity of the full Moon in Libra on Wednesday begins to stir within us. Desires mount. Monday starts with a demand for action as Moon transits Chitra nakshatra. Vishvakarma (the celestial architect) is the ruler of Chitra, as is Mars, the planet of karma/action. This energy is about building, creating, serving and performing karma yoga. Today, start your week off on the right foot. Plan, organize, use strategy, clarify your ideas, create and expand your objectives. Take effective action and cross something big off your to-do list. Get clear on the big picture, but use details and step by step instructions to get the job done. Moon moves to Swati nakshatra at 21:23 CDT. Tuesday, 5.13 Swati nakshatra enlivens Vayu (the wind god) and Rahu today. The winds of change are blowing. Do you feel it? What direction are they blowing for you? What changes are being enlivened within you and around you? What is your response to these winds? Pay attention to Nature today as she will likely show us her directions through wind, rain and storms. Vayu brings change; he does so by "house cleaning", creating movement, is connected to breath, wind and strength. Whatever is being moved today, trust that it is creating space for something new to arrive. Are you moving with gentle breezes or gale force winds? What is your response to these winds? Remember, movement is good. Bend with the wind though, don't break. Moon moves to Vishaka nakshatra at 21:05. The Moon will already be in its final tithi (phase) at this time as it ripens towards fullness. Wednesday, 5.14 Full Moon is on Wednesday, May 14th at 14:15 CDT in Libra and Vishaka nakshatra. Moon will be sandhi at the edge of Libra receiving direct gaze from a sandhi exalted Sun and Ketu in Aries. Yet another opportunity to revisit the same metaphors and challenges, lessons and reminders from the many previous months as Libra and Aries have been in the spotlight for months now. This full Moon is intricate as well as celebratory. It is Budhha Jayanti (also called Buddha Purnima), the celebration of Lord Buddhas birthday. Auspiciously, the celebration falls on a Wednesday this year, day of Mercury, the mind. May Lord Buddha's strength in mind and liberation of being ignite us! Jai Buddha! This full Moon is in Vishaka nakshatra and at the edge of changing signs at 29'51; very much in the gap (sandhi) heading into Scorpio its sign of debilitation. Moon moves to Scorpio just fifteen minutes later at 14:30 CDT. Vishaka is ruled by a dual god, Indra and Agni. They sit at the portal entrance and allow the transformational process of our offerings to take place. Offerings of nourishment, that then becomes potent and palpable to them, and in turn they make these offerings potent and palpable for us. We see this pair at work in yagyas and puja offerings. Whatever is offered on the altar, alchemically transforms and becomes nourishment for the gods, who then bless us with their protection and support. Sun moves out of Aries its sign of exaltation, and into Taurus on 5.14 at 17:33 CDT. He transits Taurus until June 15th. Moon moves to Anuradha nakshatra at 20:14 CDT. Read more about the meanings of full Moon + Sun transit here. Thursday, 5.15 Moon transits Anuradha nakshatra, ruled by Mitra, the friendly star. He's an Aditya (provides nourishment and support) and is a form of the Sun and connected to day time. Friendship and alliances are enlivened through Mitra, as well as help, support and the special connections in life that sustain us. Mitra likes fine detail and has a knack for change and renewal; he loves travel and a change of scenery. As Moon will be receiving direct gaze (drishti) from a sandhi Sun (newly changed signs) and Mercury in Taurus, watch the critic today. Re-direct it. Zoom out and look at the big picture if you feel your self using the zoom lens too much. Focus instead on unifying factors and helpful connections. We may be feeling small within ourselves on some level, which can heighten the tendency to find fault with others. What needs to shift? Moon moves to Jyeshtha nakshatra at 18:55 CDT. Working with the mental body will be especially effective right now and throughout tomorrow. Friday, 5.16 Jyeshtha is ruled by Indra and the planet Mercury. Indra is immensely powerful and king of the devas (gods). Considered the rain god, Indra has the ability to "open the floodgates" so to speak. Indra is also connected to pranic forces and has extremely heightened sensitivity- which translates as heightened awareness. We are reminded by him though that we must not be controlled entirely by our senses. Today you may notice an increased sensitivity- and in that sensitivity a certain and defined power. We might experience this as a vulnerability that cultivates inner strength. We may note our ability to be clear with boundaries today and our defined needs. Be in your power and arrive into your great sensitivity. Both are assets that will take you far. Working with the mental body directly today will be especially effective. Moon changes signs to Sagittarius at 17:16 CDT and moves into Mula nakshatra at this time. Nirrti, the wife of adharma steps onto the scene. Don't let her lack of dharmic pursuits derail you tonight. Saturday, 5.17 As dishevelment and destruction rules the greater part of the day via Mula nakshatra and Nirrti today, expect plans to not be seamless. Give your self extra time to accomplish tasks and relax your agenda. Loosen the reigns. Work on deconstruction, letting go, uprooting and purging today. Moon gets drishti (gaze) today from multiple planets which compounds the chaos at play. Saturn, Mars and Ketu give their heat, pressure and restructuring energy, while Jupiter may soften the blow or at least help us "learn the lessons" that are present. Be leisurely and use self care as much as possible today. Moon moves to Purvashada nakshatra at 15:26 CDT and more flow arrives with Apas, the water goddess. Sunday, 5.18 Purvashada and Apas, the water goddess, helps us with flow more effortlessly. She cleanses and offers rejuvenation- through emotional release and purification, allowing us to connect to the pure flow of love as well. Sensitive feelings are part of this nakshatra and though Moon receives drishti (gaze) today from multiple planets which compounds the emotions, we also have the ability to be cleansed by these emotions as well. Saturn, Mars and Ketu give their heat, pressure and restructuring energy, while Jupiter may soften the blow or at least help us "learn the lessons" present. But because Purvashada is ruled by the planet Venus, a greater ability to love and be loved is experienced here. Let it seep into your pores, and into your veins. Let the love wash over you and through you today. Let it heal you and rejuvenate you. You are loved. Moon moves to Uttarashada nakshatra at 13:33 CDT; Vishvadeva and the planet Sun predominate. Finish the day with a sense of duty and a "do-good" mentality. Help and share. Offer the clarity of love from the previous part of the day and Saturday evening. Let your light shine. Prepare to step forward! Mars goes direct tomorrow. Plan your week, sign up for my newsletter here. New Moon + Solar Eclipse
New Moon is April 29th at 1:14 am CDT while Moon is in Aries and Bharani Nakshatra. The annular solar eclipse will occur simultaneously. Over the past months we’ve been working with issues and themes of relationships, balance, stability and support, while ego, power issues and strength have added further complexity to our understanding and growth. These themes are enlivened, intensified and strengthened during the new Moon on the 29th, while getting an extra edge of intensity due to the solar eclipse occurring simultaneously. Solar eclipse begins on April 28th at 10:53 PM CDT and continues until April 29th at 3:15 AM CDT. The maximum eclipse is on April 29th at 1:04 AM CDT, though it won't be visible from the US. Sun and Moon are in exact conjunction in Aries for the occasion of new Moon and solar eclipse. They are both simultaneously conjunct Ketu and Mercury as well. These four planets receive direct drishti (gaze) from a compromised Saturn (retrograde, exalted in Libra, deeming it debilitated) and the north node, Rahu. Additionally, Mars throws his 8th aspect on this combination, heating and intensifying the situation. Think: pressure cooker. Pressure cooker for the mind, the ego, the sense of Self, the emotions. Restructuring, transformation, change and endings are inevitable as a result. We’ve been called upon to restructure our thinking, our behaviors, do less and accomplish more- out of force. We’ve been both challenged and supported in our relationships and are striving to find a balance with these pieces. The times have called for letting go, purging and pruning, finding solutions and “best practice” for ourselves and our momentum. The ego has been tested, forced to change some old habits and asked to quit going over the same old territory while still hoping for different results. If you’ve been paying attention, self tracking your behaviors and actions, these pieces have likely found a more natural momentum forward. Awareness truly does offer growth, not that it insures ease, grace, or comfort. With a certain willingness present however, it is much easier to change when we can accept what is, and let the “art of allowing” be enlivened. This new Moon + solar eclipse combination marks the ripping and shredding of the veils that we've been clinging to. If there are any left with the current themes, you can be assured that this new Moon marks the sacred extraction process for each of us in our own way. The pieces that have been left unattended or ignored, will get their day of illumination now as they come out of the shadows and from our depths. Sun, Moon, and Mercury will be in Bharani nakshatra at the time of the new Moon and eclipse, while Ketu is in Ashwini. Yama, lord of restraint and death, is holding us firmly in his grip at this time. There will be a certain amount of restriction being felt for us as a result. Pressures arise over “doing the right thing” and what pieces of our lives and our relationships must die in order for us to fully live. This complexity is most definitely necessary for the re-building that is coming; the next phase of life. And though we may feel as though we are precariously perched on the edge of our life, balancing the impossible, there is healing and rejuvenation likely if we listen carefully to the messages that are coming. Unless you are the type who needs extreme force, chaos and calamity to make life and personal changes, expect the messages of necessary change to come more subtly. Expect flashes of insight and moments of awakening. Don’t ignore these signs. The coming weeks will offer the purification and transformational elements we need to live more freely and harmoniously with life. But expect this new space to be provided after clearing out the rubble. It will require great restraint and self control to get the job done and carry forward the actions necessary to achieve our desired outcomes. The most challenging question for all of us will be “what is the right thing to do?” A simple/complex inquiry to answer. Get my daily Moon Mind calendar each week via my newsletter. Planetary Transits Venus entered Pisces its sign of exaltation on April 27th at 13:49 CDT and remains here until May 23rd. Out of Rahu's gaze, Venus now enters direct drishti from Mars seven houses away in Virgo. A passionate, expansive and creative month is ahead for all of us. The heat of Mars provokes and stokes the passion and creativity of Venus. Though fire (Mars) and water (Venus) don't mix, the steam created should inspire movement, change and creative action at this time, while instigating momentum. Relationships will be in the lime light and provide much fuel for the fire. The critic may be high in the weeks to come, the mental confusion may set in, or some friction. Watch for these things with personal and professional relationships. If at all possible surrender to an ease and flow instead. Seek clarity for your self around what nurtures and soothes, vs. what irritates and agitates. Where can you create more clarity within your Self? Where can you get more clear about your needs and boundaries? Where can you let go and allow a certain ease to settle in? Akshaya Tritiya, the auspicious "day of lasting achievement" in the Vedic calendar, occurs on May 1st in the USA while both Sun and Moon are exalted and Moon is in the third tithi (Moon phase) of the waxing cycle. The third tithi begins at 00:53 CDT on the 1st and continues until the wee hours on the 2nd at 1:32 am CDT. Moon will be in its mulitrikona sign and in the auspicious Rohini nakshatra during the majority of this time. Akshaya tritiya is considered to be a very powerful time- free from malefic influences of all kinds and highly auspicious for all new ventures. For lasting success and achievement, this the the day! Meditation, pujas, action steps, will all bring powerful and lasting results. Go for gold today. Mercury Moves to Taurus on May 4th at 11:25 pm CDT, out of the complexity of Aries and away from conjunction with Sun and Ketu + multiple aspects from Rahu, Saturn and Mars. Swiftly moving Mercury completes this transit on May 23rd. This transit may inspire some exploration of our depths- which can offer some necessary understanding and awareness- proving valuable as we navigate the relationship themes alive right now. Expect some new information and resources arriving that will help you make sense of your current experiences and predicaments. Find new ways to connect. Expand communication and commerce. Work on themes of support and sustainability, comfort and clarity. The planets are ever changing and so are we. I've created a new virtual workshop series to help you navigate the constant movement in and around us. Read more about my four part series, the Cosmic and Creative Self workshops. Full Moon is on May 14th at 14:15 CDT while in Libra. More about this fascinating full Moon in my next transit report for the waning Moon cycle. Big transits are coming. First Jupiter exalts in Cancer June 18th, then Rahu and Ketu move in July to Virgo and Pisces respectively, and later this year Saturn moves to Scorpio. Needing some guidance and clarity for this coming year? Schedule a yearly progression with me. I still have some sessions available for May. Horoscopes for the Waxing Moon Cycle {April 29th to May 14th} *Horoscopes are based on your Vedic rising sign. You can also check your Moon and Sun signs for further insight. Do the same with your Navamsa signs for further clarity. Do not use these horoscopes with your “Western Sign” as there is likely no correlation. These horoscopes are meant to be used as a broad overview of the current transits and obviously do not address the specifics of an individual’s unique chart. Aries: Use this waxing cycle to clean up. Clean up your gut and diet. Be sure to alkalize. Clean up your words and get clear on boundaries so you can voice them effectively. Let your inner passions swell as romance becomes hard to resist. Relationship themes still persist as you navigate opposing realms of head vs. your libido. Don’t confuse this with what the heart actually needs. How can you make more mindful choices now? Can you make choices for your self that bring more comfort, creativity, support and nourishment? Can you slow down to listen? Challenge your Self to find new ways and means. Ego and self power are strong right now. Balance others’ feelings and needs with your own. Taurus: There is a fire lit within you and though you are shining brightly from the inside out, others may not notice the power fully. This is part of an internal overhaul; transformation and changes that have been coming on for months now. Emotions and self expression are crucial parts of your changes. Share your Self in sacred ways that attend to your need for comfort and support. Make sure you don’t use your energy and resources frivolously. It is still vital that you listen to your gut for intuitive messages. Ask it directly for insights. Gemini: One of your many gifts is being able to roll with the punches as changes occur and challenges arise. You may be experiencing a sense of your remarkable resiliency right now. Use this as a potent take-away for moving forward. No matter what, you will re-create your Self. Your infinite creativity is a potent resource for you to remember and can be used to reinvent your Self. You can do this consistently so don’t hold back and don’t hold out on your self. Find new ways to offer yourself and use this potent, passionate creativity running through you to get the job done. Cancer: Everything you’ve been learning about giving and receiving is valuable for your growth and transformation, your boundaries and your clarity. These are the pieces that will allow you to get your needs met more sustainably and not wear yourself out. Use this information and apply it to your career in this waxing cycle. Who are you trying to impress? And how does this need for acceptance effect your offerings and what you are striving for? Best practice right now is balancing the outer offerings with turning inward. Find time to listen to your inner realms. Find comfort in creativity and your passion for life. Channel this into your gifts and offerings. Leo: The natural teacher in you is flourishing right now. There’s a certain ease in how you offer and share your self. It is important to remember that every teacher is in fact a student who learns the most with their offerings if they are open to receive. Be the beginner. See with fresh eyes. Watch for moments of ego that keep you from listening more carefully and being completely present. Allow constant inquiry. Let your knowledge come from your depths and use the unknown as your greatest creative, transformational inspiration. Virgo: Relationships are passionately progressing right now and your cravings are strong. Desires are coming from your depths and likely bring confusion. The unknown seems to sabotage your courage and action steps. Are you revisiting the same old patterns or are you willing to refocus on a new, more brilliant agenda? Are you willing to expand in the name of growth, or play small and keep doing what you’ve been doing? The only way towards new outcomes is to step into new actions. Work with the fears, not against them. And definitely don't avoid them all together. Libra: Cut, clear, purge. Attend to the business at hand. Function moment to moment. These themes from the past months have helped you step into some new realizations and the clarity has been a boon. The coming weeks can bring temptations to return to the old ways of life and being. Don’t succumb to past addictions or fall victim to relationships that do more harm than good. You know better now. See these bumps in the road as tests. Creativity comes from your gut and intuition. Make sure there’s room for your artistry and embodiment practices. Scorpio: Agni flares, providing necessary digestion for many old thoughts and feelings right now. Listen to your own digestion and assimilation process and use this as a resource for your offerings and gifts. Share from this intuitive resonance, teach from your depths, and be present to your vast creativity percolating within. You are able to download a lot of brilliance right now because you naturally listen more carefully than most. Avoid distractions and past pain traps, woundologies and the like- instead use these to inform your process and gather momentum for actions and insights. Connect, create, share, but do so in new ways with a new agenda. Sagittarius: Suddenly there's been a fire lit within you, though it may appear to have you moving in reverse. Your level of comfort and ease increases, giving the heart and home some extra padding. Use these pieces to bolster your contentment, your creativity and your zest for life. Find ways that these overlap with your career, your offerings and your gifts. Communicate effectively; don't make assumptions. Clean up your gut and your diet with the intention of clarifying and purifying from the inside out. Let this cleanliness seep into the rest of your life- including your relationships. Get clear on what works and doesn't work for you. Capricorn: Charge forward with your creativity courageously. Think outside the box. What foreign and far off connections can offer support and resources to you? How can you upgrade your skills with language in order to teach, create, connect and communicate more effectively? Inspire others by inspiring your self. Retrace your old steps and edit them. Now is the time to reformulate the way you share your self and your gifts, but you’ll have to do it differently then before if you want to sustainably move forward. Heart work and conscious attention to your emotions prove invaluable. Aquarius: Comforts abound. Passions are ignited. Speak and communicate creatively and profoundly. Take courageous steps forward with relationships and connections. Be clear with needs and boundaries and use this time as an opportunity to restructure the way you connect and communicate. Is there a way to be compassionate and kind to your Self and others while both of you get your needs met? Is there a way to open the ego up to more harmonious intake of environment and relationships? Watch for overindulgence in general and note when you are eating to comfort your self rather than nourish your self. Pisces: As you continue to expand and flow like water this month, it may feel like your relationships are trying to burn you a bit. There's clean up happening in who and what you relate to, how you relate and for what reasons. These issues are directly connected to your ability to speak and express your Self- both your needs and your healthy boundaries. Right now you are getting an opportunity to attend to new ways of self nourishment and comfort, learning what works and what doesn't. Find a healthy balance between unadulterated pleasure and passion without overindulgence and excess. Don't miss my horoscopes! Get my weekly newsletter here. Does the word power make you cringe? Or celebrate? Now is a good time to ask your Self: What is my relationship with power? If you follow my planetary transit reports, then you are well aware of the themes I've been discussing for weeks and months that involve "letting go" and finding a "less is more" approach to life while re-evaluating all of our relationships. The lunar eclipse in Libra on April 15th, marked a poignant two week period of intensity, which will culminate with the solar eclipse on April 29th. Get the details on all of that here. All of this attention on Aries and Libra has been a theme for well over a year due to the Saturn, Rahu and Ketu transits. These planets and their movements have been activating our issues with power, ego, relationships, self care, boundaries, finding new ways of being, and a new sense of balance. So as we come to the end of Rahu and Ketu's 18 month transit through Libra and Aries respectively (in July), the eclipses mark a moment in time where we get to "propel forward" with these themes by doing a conscious audit of our head space. Here to help us with these themes, is the newly exalted Sun in Aries. The cosmos are always timely! Sun moved to its sign of exaltation on 4.13 joining Ketu there. This transit lasts until Sun moves to Taurus on 5.14. Both Sun and Ketu in Aries receive drishti (gaze) from a retrograde and compromised Saturn, as well as Rahu in Libra. Mars gives his drishti to Sun and Ketu from Virgo eight houses away, bringing an extra level of heat and pressure to the Sun and Aries right now. Despite the challenging combinations at play, there is clearly moksha (a sense of liberation) in the works from this configuration and the nakshatras (lunar constellations) involved. The coming weeks of Sun in Aries, bring surprises, pressures and awakenings that insure liberation on multiple levels of life as we navigate the theme of "personal power". Exalted Sun is a time when the Sun is the "fullest" in his experience of life; his energy is maximized and feeling its own power. This translates as each of us working with our own relationship to power- for better or worse. With power comes great responsibility, a need for purpose and a request for intention, in order for maximum alignment with one's dharma and greater life harmony. Sun's cohabitation with Ketu at this time indicates cleansing, restructuring and purification of our soul, our sense of dharma, purpose and power. Ketu's extraction process is usually not fun and often comes quickly. Prepare to feel naked and vulnerable at times during this transit, stripped and uncertain of who and what to trust. The flip side of great confidence and power is vulnerability. Finding balance with our own innate strength is part of what this exalted Sun transit can offer us, even if our power feels uncertain. This is a time that encourages us to work on themes of power and personal power- within us and within our relationships. Don't miss my planetary articles and offerings. Sign up for my newsletter. Exalted Sun: The Head and Our Relationship with Power {Part of my virtual workshop series} ::: Sunday May 4th 12:00 to 1:30 pm CDT Sun is our energy, power and dynamism, which connects to our innate masculine/father energy. Sun transits Aries (its sign of exaltation) from April 13th to May 15th. Aries and Sun are both connected to our Head (the 1st house) as well as the 5th house of creativity and passion. We need to be fully dynamic beings, taking charge of our life power and our inner/outer passion in order to move forward effectively in life. This workshop will explore the dynamics at play between head, Aries, Sun, inner power, energy levels, and finding an embodied experience with these pieces. This work will help us navigate burnout, overwhelm, motivation and our actions more consciously. We will use somatic exploration, creative ritual and the arts, as well as journaling and a unique harvesting process for the workshop. Come prepared to move, create, inquire and share. Don't miss out! Enrollment ends Sunday April 27th for the first Exalted Sun workshop + Early Bird discount! Complete details about my new Cosmic & Creative Self Workshop series. *The workshop will be presented via conference call, but available as a recording for those who are not able to attend live. |
